Plot hole. Rin is nowhere near good enough with technology to write an emoticon.

Finally here.
I have read a lot of reaction fics. Most of them suck. The Honkaiverse has an abnormally high number of surprisingly decent ones, though. This one is the best of them all. (Except maybe one other one, but that's beside the point.) Reaction fics all suffer from the fact they by nature have to retread the same ground as the source material. What makes this so cool is the characters aren't just reacting to the source material; they're actors participating in a production of an adapted version of it. That means even when it goes over stuff the readers know, the question of "how will this part of the game be adapted" still remains. The author does some clever things. I won't spoil it, but the thing that prompted me to write this review was how the events were incorporated, simultaneously solving a logical problem that would occur in real life. This story starts out okay. It escalates in quality continuously from there. If you like Star Rail, read this.
Ah yes, the hit sci-fi gatcha TV show, Stargate Express
Much like the Stargate Express, Vill-V likely designed the Unnamed Locomotive with the hope that one day, it could traverse countless worlds akin to an interstellar train journeying between realms.
