They called it Rune Machina -- the fusion of magick and science which has enabled the Kingdom of Rathia to prosper for hundreds of years. However, this time of peace was not meant to last. When a dimensional crack opened in the skies above each ruling kingdoms, an omen of impending destruction became known. To protect its citizens from the demonic beasts that has started to plague the lands, the Kingdom of Rathia has started to recruit more cadets into the Magick Military Academy. Its goal is to foster promising cadets talented in magickal arts and train them in wielding Rune Machinas to combat the threats to humankind. Jeri has always dreamed of becoming a cadet since he was young. When a chance to be drafted into the academy came in the form of a dropped item in the middle of the woods, Jeri did not hesitate to fulfill his lifelong ambition. Unfortunately, his journey to becoming a great cadet would not not be as smooth as he had imagined. Out of all elements in the world, why was he most talented in wielding the weakest one!?

Most chuck it off as mere coincidence and don't usually derive any significant meaning from it. For Ardes Lee, however, such moments happen on a daily basis. Ever since he was a kid, Ardes has been frequently finding himself glancing at his watch at specific times of the day without really meaning to. Now a grown man and working as a call center agent, Ardes never thought for a second this peculiar "talent" of his could change his life and the world. And it all started when he witnessed a murder first hand.
