I agree with you, let's everyone picture the hero they want rather than being pigeon holed into a likeness you may not care for. Your imagination at the end of the day is the most powerful tool.
I've received alot of questions about this so I'll put it here. I generally like to leave my character descriptions blank or very vague so the reader can picture themselves or whoever they want in the MCs shoes. To me this is far more immersive experience and allows for a better story to implement myself into when I read a similar book.

[A/N: I feel like I should write a little warning here to let you know that this story is very slow-paced and the main focus for the beginning is his relationship with Jean and generallly the development of Elijah's mentality.
