I don't think she's talking about a person really named Bai Shao. Bai Shao means something along the lines of White Peony like the hairpin she saw he was keeping under his pillow. According to Google, Peonies symbolize innocence and young love, so the hairpin probably is considered a token of first love, or just love in general. By saying "Lady Bai Shao", she probably means "his white peony lady" or "his first love" or just "his lover"
Besides, in the Capital City, there was Lady Bai Shao, the woman he loved!

So, just a thought, but you now know a best-selling author who knows about powers. He could probably be convinced to write a story using all your collected data about powers and how they work as a base. He can publicly claim to have been inspired by Crossbones if asked, and to the average outsider, it'll be a work of fiction based on strange things in reality. To those with noticeable powers desperate or curious enough to take a chance though, Nathan could be a point of contact to learn more and find a solution. Still not universally available help, but lots better than currently
He had a point but how could they broadcast that without spilling the beans about the fact that superpowers existed? At large they probably wouldn't be believed but if anyone did and wanted to exploit it…they could end up dealing with the same fictional civil rights issues the Y-Men did.

To be fair, May's power doesn't seem to work through pictures or video, so she'd have to see a celebrity in person to know if they have powers or not. By the way she said "heard of" instead of "seen", I'm guessing she hasn't seen many, if any, celebrities in person

I don't see why they wouldn't exist. There are short girls, girls with small chests, and girls with baby faces. Having all three is statistically unlikely, but probably less so than being an albino and those exist.Regardless, this girl in this story may look like a child, but both her mind and her body are 18 years old. Treating her like a child when she's not is unfair, and deciding that any guy who can treat her like the 18 year old that she is, is a pedophile, is also unfair.Tho mostly, I was just a bit ticked off at your use of the word "better" in your original comment. Having a preference in regards to aesthetics is normal, and not personally being comfortable with your romantic partner looking like a child is completely fine and very understandable. But regardless of the reason, or improbability (even if you consider it straight up fiction), judging a person by their appearance and determining them as lesser than their peers for that sole reason is not something I'm okay with.
Regardless of the route, there are always at least a few people that end up dead. The worst part was that it was usually the girl you were pursuing as well.
