I would like to recommend making the base appearance of his zanpakuto to be Cloud Strife's buster sword. My reasoning is that he is not entirely Ichigo and his zanpakuto should reflect that by being a bit different. Both swords are similar in size but Cloud's is more refined looking than the hunk of metal without a proper hilt that the original Ichigo has. This could be seen as reflecting his more mature mindset and/or influenced by the Artoria template. What's more is that there's even an existing version of Cloud's sword covered in wrapping's, like Ichigo's.

I vote for Artoria Caster as his servant. Seems the most fitting based on compatibility.

So, not saying you should change anything, but you could have Eldir say he gambled on how old he'd be, how much of his appearance would his or Toji's and where he'd show up. It could be the reason why he randomly showed up in front of Barry's house in central city, instead of Gotham or Metropolis for example.
