She's dead within moments if she gets released by Jayde's protectors
Article 4, Section 15: custodial transfer for disciplinary rehabilitation. Broader language. Softer edges. A provision written for Temple students who needed spiritual correction, whose drafters had never imagined it being used to extract a student facing criminal charges. The language was vague enough to argue. Sharlin would find it. Sharlin's people would draft the petition. And the petition would succeed, because the Charter's custodial provisions were broader than its criminal ones, and the Temple had never lost a legal fight it had time to prepare for.

I thought she put the birthday card in one of her bags?
Below, in the medical room, the birthday card sat on a stone shelf beside Eden's neatly organized triage station. It had come out of the ring with the medical supplies, tucked between a roll of bandages and a jar of burn salve — Isha had packed it there, or it had simply been in the ring already, and neither Jayde nor Eden had touched it since.

Didn't they say that directly to him? To not touch their mate? So it would be pretty obvious they found her, right?
"There's something else," Marcus said, his voice dropping. "Konstantin sent a message specifically for you three. Said to tell you that he knows about the girl. Knows you've found a mate. Said he's counting on you choosing her over your pack. That's why he's doing this now....because he thinks you're too distracted, too weak, too compromised to respond properly."

What about possible Traitor Portals in the Lower Realm? Would have thought Jayde would want those found too
Every objective the Commander had assigned before the push — the Lower Realm map, the worm sensors, every nest found, every mile charted — would be complete when she walked out. Not if. When.

I got the feeling when they can leave they will have to run with everything they got because something High on the Threat noticed them or they killed something high
hopefully there is a forge there too though
"I've got a blade, cord, a flat stone, and two lifetimes of knowing how things come apart. We'll manage." Jayde secured the crossbow and stood. "The data says the fortress perimeter has low Charling traffic. Something about the site itself, the construction, the materials, maybe residual formations, discourages colony expansion. If that holds, we've got a defensible base with a resource supply."

thought she could use formations bug then remembered that requires Essence so probably not a good idea

Don't they already have some Really Good weapons? Or is it different weapons she's thinking of?
"We need weapons," Eden said.

Charling?
Low ambient Charling activity. Established patrol routes that skirted the perimeter rather than penetrating it. Something about the fortress itself discouraged colony expansion into its footprint.

would actually just be kinder to directly kill Meiling than set her free for the Temple to do whatever they want
