This author has pretty good writing quality and updating stability, along with pretty consistent characters that are being developed well. There’s a lot of world building going on that I am finding a bit hard to follow because of a lot of new vocabulary. It’s starting to make sense after all these chapters, but it could have been done differently in the beginning to make it easier to understand all the terminology. The story also doesn’t really get very engaging until after chapter 12. Interesting concept though, so I’m looking forward to reading more chapters and seeing what the author does with this.

Really good quality writing, and the chapters seem to be coming out pretty regularly so far. The story is really dark and gory, so if you like that stuff then this is the novel for you. It’s a little bit too much for me, hence why I reduced one star from story development. I will continue reading because of the unique aspect of this story and to see where it goes.

Still pretty early on in the book, but the writing quality is really good. The author uses a lot of metaphors/fancy words which adds to the imagery, but I sometimes need to Google what things mean so not 5/5. Updating consistently so far so that's nice. Seems like the story hit the ground running so I'm not sure exactly what the backstory is but it seems like the author might be keeping a lot of things mysterious on purpose. I didn't realize this was an R18 book until I read a few chapters in and noticed some quite descriptive scenes. A good book nonetheless. Really seems to be focusing more on the plot/mystery than just being R18.

Give this guy a Grammy, his acting skills above and beyond

"Father!" Cedric exclaimed, incredulous. "Despite our differences, my brother is far more vital to the kingdom than that wretched captain. Is he not?"

Didn't he also want to protect Urul?

"But Father," Cedric spoke up, his voice strained with frustration. "Since war is inevitable, why must we honor that agreement? If we are to attack the Rasper Kingdom, then Captain Urul should not be allowed to live any longer."

As they should tsk tsk tsk

Both princes stood in shocked silence, their faces stinging with the sudden reprimand.

He's just mad he was called out

The barb was sharp, igniting a fire in Fren's chest. Yet, he held his ground, his expression unwavering. "Brother, you may choose to belittle me, but I refuse to let my personal life be weaponized in court matters. This is about the survival of our kingdom, not petty insults. If you cannot temper your emotions, how can anyone trust you to lead us wisely into war?"

Cedric probably wanted to say "in" rather than "behind" but he's too regal to drop that low

Cedric scoffed, his voice slicing through the tension. "You speak like a child, sheltered in the palace while the rest of us have bled for this kingdom. You know nothing of war, Fren, nothing of what it means to defend our land with your life. Your words are those of a coward who prefers peace at any cost, hiding behind the skirt of your wife rather than standing on the battlefield."

    Under My Umbrella

    Realistic

John Everette is the son of two wealthy entrepreneurs, or at least he used to be until they both died when he was seven. Delving into books, history, and anthropology to distract him from the real world, he eventually finds true love in a girl who comes from totally different circumstances, but loves him, instead his money. The two get married and live happily for about a year, until, you know, this book happens. People die, betray, reincarnate, etc. Read to find out more! P.S. Shout out to Tahamohawk17 for the cover! Be sure to check out his book 'The Dark Demon Lord' because I edit it :) It is completely different from this one because it has cultivation, great plot development, a ruthless MC, and much more that you'll be sure to enjoy!
