Sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy to lose a family member but it's so much worse on a day for family and happiness. We lost the Aunt that raised my Dad on Christmas morning and he then had to pretend nothing was wrong for my brother and I (5 and 9) so we would enjoy the morning. It made a huge impact on me. I hope your memories of the happy times with that person on holidays and regular days brings comfort as your lives adjust to the loss.
