OK, this is just a lazy MTL at this point, it has been multiple chapters with wrong names so far
There is also the fact that a broom can be curse just as it happened to Harry in the first book, basically causing the person to be immobile in the middle of the air where a simple spell could cause him to drop down from who know how high.
Alex's flying skills were average at best. He had decent balance and could stay steady on a broom, but he never cared enough to excel.
