I feel that it is fine to write how you want and if you want to semi reset the MC the that is fine but I think that it would help if , at certain points in the other worlds like the end of an arc or season of the side world for time skips or your own boredom with the arc, he can leave to another world or back to DXD and go back when he is prepared or you have more ideas for his story. Also, it would be interesting if he could go to the same world more than once such as he goes to an au Naruto with the Naruto cast gender-bent and then the normal Naruto work or far in the past bleach to fix problems and then the normal work where the problems happened.
