The physical skill book in his hand had long disappeared. An idea comes to his mind, he tried touching another book to test if it'd only work on skill books. Tian Feng glanced around and decided to pick a history book which he has finished reading.

In any case, he has already read that book. Even if it's disappeared, there won't be a problem.

The book stayed in his hand for a short moment before disappeared. [It seems I can control whether or not I want to put it in the inventory.]

With a thought, the book disappeared from his hand and reappeared in his inventory. Focusing on it, a new dialogue showed up.

He closed the dialogue and return back to the main screen. Tian Feng continued browsing around for a while. He was a programmer, someone from a world of technology. Facing this new interface, it was like a fish got into the water.

Tian Feng immersed himself with the system interface. Fifteen minutes later, he finally let out a sigh.

"This system is way too expensive...It should be named 'Rich Kids' system instead."

His new system has many functions which make him exhilarated even if most of them are still locked right now. 

There's even a function that'll give him various psychic abilities. The Maps is still unusable. The mission is locked so he couldn't check it. The shop, friend and party, he knows about it even without checking. Most of them are similar to a typical MMORPG.

Tian Feng didn't have an excited expression on his face anymore. He looked rather solemn. Like someone who's deeply thinking about something.

The reason that made him looked like this now is because of the PRICE. Each of those functions either required points to open or use. He didn't even have a single point right now. It's like having a roasted chicken in front of him, but he's only allowed to stare.

To open a skill fusion menu, he needs around 30000 points. To unlock the one seemingly cheapest psychic ability required around 80000 points. The price of the items in the shop is astronomical.

Recalling the gift box inside the inventory, he decided to open it. Some items popped into the inventory slots and there are 10 points to his previously 0 points.

Although he had 10 points now but compared to those prices, this is still nothing. It's like comparing a firefly to a bright moon in the sky.

He wanted to take the book out to read but it cannot be taken out. Thus he decided to absorb it. It's only natural that the system's property shouldn't be taken out lightly. Tian Feng understands this because of the knowledge of many novels he read on Earth.

Information started rushing into his mind at a fast speed. Tian Feng felt paralyzed for like a second. He wasn't sure whether it was caused by the system. 

He didn't think more into this matter since he doesn't have any points to try it again anyway. As a lazy person, he wouldn't do something repeatedly or something useless.

It didn't take long before the knowledge got assimilated and he can access it as he had read about it. They are only knowledge about how to use the system. Most of which, he had already known while exploring the system earlier. 

The book has disappeared from the inventory as expected. He closed the interface and walk toward his new cultivation books.

Tian Feng picked up one of the cultivation books that his mom bought for him and started to read. Barely after skimming through for a while, his expression turned to look like a depressed baby.

"Big Brother! There's a restaurant over there." said one of them.

"Let's go there!"

When the group of five entered the restaurant, a waiter welcomed them respectfully. While the waiter might not know of their identities, just by merely looking at the robe coupled with the aura coming from them is enough of a reason to respect them.

The waiter swiftly led them to a table and waited on them.

Tian Feng was reading his book as usual when he suddenly heard a system notification.

"Ding...Detected presences of celestial beasts."

Being caught off guard while he was focusing on reading, he startled [Celestial Beasts...? What's that?]

Tian Feng immediately chose 'Learn' without any hesitation. He did have a thought of taking it out to read but he afraid that it might not work and end up losing the book. Besides he was too excited to start cultivating.

Instantly, three options appear, "Memorize 100 points", "Learn 1000 points" and "Quick Learn 10000 points"

"Hais... fortunately system gifted back 9000 points otherwise I would have to wait a few days before I can start."

The President was on the second floor talking to a Prospect but was also secretly watching the kids. It was the clubs favorite past time in all honesty. The kids didn't know that since they were all been born it had become a past time for the rest of the club to observe them and bet on the outcomes of their many fights and outcomes. Twenty six years had not changed them.

As it was Princess was lounging on one of the many couches drawing away in her sketch book and swaying to music that played over head. Across from her were Wired, ClickIt, Shapes and Tiny all on their laptops doing various activities. On the other side of the clubhouse was Moon-Beam and Marionette behind the bar working on learning mixology. McGayer and Teta's where doing some weird photo shoot in another corner. That left Silver and Jay-Bird both working on their own projects on the other side some where.

The only one missing was Prince and that was never a good thing. President looked around trying to find his missing kid and found him as he rummaged through his bag looking for something. Well Shit this was either gonna end very badly or end in endless entertainment. Suddenly the kid pulled out three decks of cards and grinned triumphantly.

"Who wants to play cards!?" He called out and as if drawn up by some magnetic force all eleven of the other kids shot up from their spots and looked at him.

Prince sat in the middle of an empty long table and eleven empty chairs around him.

"Same rules as always?" Silver asked curious and hopeful.

"All bets final no take backs. " Moon-Beam laughed as the twins gathered the drinks and started bringing them over.

"Bets are only in the forms of money, dares, cigaretts and weed." Tiny added gathering a Bluetooth speaker from her bag and walking over.

"Seats never change and any arguments lead to automatic disqualification." Shapes added plopping into his own seat.

All the seats were taken except for two in the middle right next to one another and across from Prince. Princess and Teta's looked at one another and at the chairs. Before anyone could ask the obvious question the doors to the clubhouse burst open revealing two cops walking in.

As a whole the entire occupants turned to look at them. One cop was an obvious rookie because he shrank back and the other was Lutienat McNicholas who was a pain in the ass and always trying to debunk the legalization of the MC.

"I'm looking for Prince also known as Erik Axel Jones. " McNicholas stated and a dangerous glint entered all tweleve of the kids eyes. It was Princess who walked towards him and smiled sweetly at him.

"I'm his wife, please tell me what my husband could have possibly done this time?"

They both blanched at her. It was not common knowledge that she was in fact legally married to Prince to anyone outside the club. They had done it one drunken night in vegas and there may or may not had been drugs involved. They woke up the next morning in bed together and with matching wedding rings at the age of eighteen.

They never bothered with a divorce for their own reasons and honestly no one questioned it. They were soley all about one another when they were together and when Princess was off traveling the world. They both slept with other people even the occasional boyfriend and girlfriend while apart. But the second Princess came back home they were together again and neither cared. So the club just let it be and learned that for all it was worth Princess was Prince's Old Lady and he was her Old Man.

"I didn't know he was married. " the rookie stated simply.

"Eight years together but I've been traveling for most of it. I come home every now and again. " she smiled amused at the cops.

"Do you know where your Husband was the night before last?" McNicholas asked undeterred. He was hoping he could make her jealous to turn on him. Anyone could see it.

Princess looked at Teta's from the corner of her eye and smiled wickedly at the two pigs before her. "No I just got home yesterday afternoon but you could always ask his Mistress. "

"And who would that be?" The rookie asked really confused now.

"Oh that would be my best friend Teta's over there." Princess turned to look at the dark skinned beauty and smiled.

In all honesty it was a joke in the club that Teta's was Princes Mistress after one drunken night they slept together. Princess had laughed her ass off when she walked in on them the next morning and had jokingly said that she now had to share her husband with his Mistress. The other kids had gone with the joke relentlessly calling Princess and Prince mom and dad and Teta's the Mistress. It stuck over the years and served as a great alibi when they needed it.

"Yes he was in bed with me. We fucked till the early morning and if you dont believe me would you like me to show you what positions we used?" Teta's stated not missing a beat and several of the clubs members had to blink at how well the next generation covered for one another.

Prince wisely sank to the ground as the cops hadn't seen him and the other kids had made use of that as a means to hide him from sight.

"So let me get this straight. You are his wife and your best friend is his Mistress. And you three are okay with that set up?" McNicholas asked in disbelife.

"Well yeah. I mean it's fucking rediculious to expect celibacy from any man when his wife is traveling the world because she doesn't wanna settle down yet. That's just stupud and unrealistic. Not like I wasnt also fucking other guys and girls. Jesuse it's 2019 not the fucking stone age and atleast this way I know where his dick has been and she would never take my man from me. She's my best friend and she wouldn't do that to me." Princess stated it like it was the most simple thing in the world.

"Oh thank the gods you're back. I miss my hoe life and don't want to deal with his dumb ass anymore. I'm a Mistress for a reason. I happily hand him back to you and like no hard feelings but you did sign up for this unlike me." Teta's exclaimed happily smiling and the club could see this for what it really was.

The dynamics of the group were being aired out while simatainiously providing one of their own with an air tight alibi. It was genious and the cops were fucking clueless.

"We'll I am staying home and done with my travels. I'll happily take my husband back from you. " Princess smiled warmly and then turned to the cops, "anything else you need?"

"No that will be all. You guys have a good day. " McNicholas scowled at them and stormed out while they all watched him and the rookie leave.

Prince came from his hiding spot and looked at the two woman before him. He actually looked sheepish for once and his blue eyes looked from one to the other.

"What the fuck did you do you twat!?!" Princess rounded on him and he sighed heavly at her.

"I just broke a guys nose in a fight at a bar." He held his hands up in surrender when she raised an eyebrow looking like she was debating on hitting him or not "before you judge he was bad mouthing the club which normally isn't something to get worked up but than some guy had the nerve to say that you didn't stick around because you were whoring yourself out to other men and they asked me how much you charged for a night and then I broke the guys nose."

Both women deflated and Princess sat in the chair opposite of Prince with Teta's taking the chair on her right side. The meaning was not lost on anyone she was his wife and Teta's was her right hand man. The dynamics having been settled and a few awkward seconds of silence was all that was left before Princess looked at Prince who was still standing behind his chair.

"Well sit down so I can beat your dumb ass at cards. " she blinked at him and he quickly sat down in his chair as she pulled out a fourth deck from her pocket. "But we need a fourth deck because there's tweleve of us and rummy is not to be taken lightly. "

Thats broke the tension and they all dissolved into fits of laughter at years of memories. Rummy was a fairly simple game but they played it with their own rules. Any mistakes were penalized and the one with the lowest score had to face a dare at the end of every hand. They played to the first to one thousand points.

The rest of the club chuckled and started placing their bets on the winner and who would have to the most penalties. It was just a normal rainy day at the MC.

Her face was still in full doubt.

Fatima burst into laughter and grabbed her stomach at Youngho's words.

Even if it would only have a declarative purpose, people's sentiment would be different.
It would be more dramatic if the message was sent from the mother's point of view, not from the queen's point of view.


"I'll say we shouldn't let the enemy hurt Uyghur mothers' hearts anymore. Can I do that?"
 
"You want to say that, who would dissuade you? It's not like you're saying something that doesn't exist."


It would be a great help to the people if the Queen returned to Kazakhstan, even though a battle might start in Uyghur soon.
Kazakhstan was behind the Uyghur independence fight, and the Chinese government would not sit idly by it, so there would be an armed conflict at the Kazakh border, too.
Officially, it was a struggle only between the mercenaries of private military companies and Uyghur militias, but China was aware that Kazakhstan was helping behind the scenes.


"I hope I'm not encouraging the people to go to war."


As the Royal Bodyguards would enter the war, even though not the Kazakh regular forces, she was worried.


"Don't worry, you are not encouraging them. The only thing left to do is to do what we've already decided."
 
 
With just one or two more months of preparation, the troops would be ready for deployment.
Three civilian military companies had already been contracted to participate, while Royal Bodyguards and mountaineering units had also disguised themselves as militias and were already on standby at the Kashgar border.

It was already pre-arranged with the Kashgar government that the Kazakh forces would pull back if the situation became too much to handle.

Yeah…his quest log took priority. He'd try not to get involved in any extra shit. Also…Kitome?
Clyde could hear an argument between two sworn nemesis. One that he hoped was over and done with. Chika and Melody. No…that wasn't quite an argument. They seemed to be just a few doors from his room.
 "I told you, it was my fault, and that's final," Melody said. "I'll buy your lunch."
 "No, no, no, I—"
Clyde tuned them out when he heard someone groan next to him. Will this be a game of who he'd wake up with in the morning? He expected to see Alice, a known sleep-in, but found Kitome there instead. And Natalia. Well, so much for a morning of teasing the magical girl in order to gain a cute reaction. He considered snapping of a photo of her sleeping, but tossed away the idea. Pissing her off would take away this side of her. 
The loli, thankfully fully dressed for the day, hummed to herself while playing Nina's handheld game. It resembled a PlayStation Vita. Wait…a fucking minute. The previous day, he remembered Kitome yelling at her. She couldn't be…
 "Pervy nii-chan, what's she doing in your bed?"
Clyde rolled his eyes.
 "Kids say the darndest things," he said. "Now don't go pestering her. And how'd you get in here?"
Natalia grinned.
 "Onii-chan, whatever could you be talking around?" She casually unwrapped a chocolate bar. A familiar brand. "By the way, these are so many things—"
The door burst open and Alice stormed in, pink aura blazing around her. He frowned, but for some reason, Kitome didn't wake.
He was surprised to see the look of absolute terror in Natalia eyes. Tears poured. OH, the candy. Clyde stifled a laugh. 
 "Please," she said, voice barely above a whisper. Alice dashed toward her. The loli dove toward Clyde.
 "Alice is bullying me, onii-chan!"
She didn't make it to the young man, stopped in midair by Alice's use of the force. 
 "I hope you enjoy hanging on the ceiling for most of our day off," Alice said. She kissed Clyde before leaving. He wondered if she noticed that Kitome ducked under the covers at the last second. The loli's crying and apologizes could still be heard even when they entered another hall. 
 "Serves her right," Kitome said. "Do you think Alice saw me?" They made eye contact then laughed. 
The duo messed around for half an hour before conducting standard morning activities. Hell, he brushed his teeth and showered while inside of her. She somewhat competed with Chika in that aspect. 
Clyde almost called a morning meeting, but remembered he gave the party a day off. A good way to piss off a party is to make them work on their free time, he thought. Kitome was eventually pulled away by Harumi, Chika, and Yuki. Ruri chatted with Alice about old times while ignoring the anime that played on the lobby's TV. Natalia whimpered on the ceiling, held there by the force. Maki and her cousin Ming were at a table in a far corner, talking. Ming shuffled her deck of cards repeatedly which seemed to give her hands something to do. He nodded in approval. They didn't know the others that well, but chatting as cousins could smooth away the loneliness. In two more months, Clyde would place Maki before the team and they would determine if she atoned enough to be cut a little slack. If enough votes run through, factoring in Yuki's mentoring, therapy, and recovery program, along with the all-day work which included labor and volunteer events, lack of privileges, a behavior analysis, he could tell Yuki to proceed to trust training. He'd personally step in to make sure his relationship with her was as high as possible before they converted her to his spy. 
He knew a three-month full punishment in place of the five-year original pushed it, even for a first offense, but world-saving took priority. As much as he didn't want to think of people as tools, he knew Maki would make a great one. 
It was a nice and mild day with few clouds in the sky. Clyde walked, feeling at peace a little—or at least he pushed his current problems into the procrastination box. Two streets later, he caught sight of Melody exiting a bookstore, smiling. The daughter of he who cannot be named and of she who dawns time, giddy over romance novels. 
He was about to walk toward her when someone tapped his leg. He turned to see a boy who looked about ten. 
 "Mister, are you really him?" he said. "I saw you on TV and your super friends. Are you going to save the world?"
Clyde smiled.
 "You say that. But." He looked around then placed a finger on his lips. In a conspiratorial low voice, he said, "You must not tell anyone that I'm here. I'm looking for bad guys."
The kid saluted.
 "Sir yes sir! You can do it, Mr. Stone." He bowed Japanese style and ran off to join his mother. She gave Clyde an apologetic style. 
It was nothing short of a miracle that the Viper hadn't discovered him yet. Then again, he couldn't be too much stronger than Clyde, right? They were both whisked to Satovia at the same time. Possible. He probably had access to the power too, plus Mortem described him as incredibly strong. He wondered if the Viper was more informed on the world.
 "You're a sweet guy."
He turned to see Melody standing there, grasping her new book. 
 "I don't know about that," Clyde said. Melody shot him a blank stare. He waved it off while internally examining his quest log.

[Quest: Talk to Melody…. again.]

For shits and giggles, he asked a silly question. System, does this count? He thought.

[Step 1 of quest completed. Step 2: spend time with Melody. Reward: unknown. This quest is mandatory and cannot be refused.]

He almost laughed, but wasn't complaining. Who the hell would complain about spending time with a beautiful woman? Clyde let that be a rhetorical question because there were many factors that branched beneath that, starting with:  is she a yandere? 
Clyde made his decision. He still had to date each female member of his party, which was an unreasonably long quest, but at least it wasn't mandatory. 
 "Melody, do you mind dropping all the plans you have today just to hang out with me?" Clyde said. "It'd be a date."
 "As if I had plans," she said under her breath.
 "What?" Clyde said.
 "N—nothing," she said, flustered. "I'd love to hang out. Just put this book in your inventory so I don't have to carry it out around."
He almost expected her to protest and demand to get changed, but that would've been pointless since she already wore casual clothing that looked expensive and popular to the masses. Well, not masses, but the rich.

Melody grabbed Clyde's arm. "I've never been on a date before."Clyde gave her a skeptical look. "You'd understand if you were from my realm," she said, a slight blush on her face. "Anyway, I don't want to think about it—let's go." 
Her cheerfulness enveloped him. Her luck at "Seducing" the young man didn't exist. The first attempt after the movie was to pull Clyde into an alley way for what he assumed would be a "surprise" moment of passion, just like in the film. Another couple was already there, riding so furiously, the young man disabled his mystic senses just to stop feeling the vibrations, which felt like punches, in the air. The sight proved to be too much for the demigoddess. She hurried off in a fast walk, nearly a run. 
It took Clyde just a tidbit of effort to catch and calm her down. When she tried to kiss him, the ground gave way beneath her. He caught her in time before she fell into the sink hole. The third time, a large crowd of people seemingly formed out of nowhere and engulfed the duo as some idol girl passed by, waving outside her car. She even winked and blew Clyde a kiss which broke the spirit of the redhead even farther.  
And that's how she ended up locking herself in her room. He lured her out once for her book, but she refused any advances or comforting. 
Clyde sighed.

Clyde stopped his eyes from widening and just shook his head. What utter horseshit. Well, he couldn't expect everything to be one hundred percent easy mode all the time.

Another failed attempt with Melody. The girl was the epitome of bad luck. Clyde wondered if he should just focus on the others and just leave the redhead be. Failing a quest invoked penalties. Her awful luck would just complicate things. A challenge.
Thoughts for later. Maybe if the potential of everyone dying to a demon lord wasn't a thing. 
He left the hotel to do more exploring and thinking. Clyde didn't expect to catch Detective Tetra arguing with the crusader from afar. To make matters worse, he wasn't alone. One of his friends suddenly slugged the detective to the ground.
 "NO SUPREME DEMON LORD WORSHIPPERS ALLOWED HERE!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. "The Great Ones leave it to us to keep scum like you off the street."
 The third crusader bounded her in bright white ropes. They stuffed her into a nearby van and off they sped. Tetra's scream still echoed through the wind. 
And no one was on this street to witness any of it.  Today was just not his day. Seriously, what the fuck just happened, he thought.

Rebellious kids always ended up grounded. Ergo, the girls were grounded on the next day. To make the decision even clearer, Baiyi confiscated their allowance, along with Tisdale's own "private funds".
He also delayed his own expedition just so he could rent a conference room from the General and restart his long-forgotten lesson on Elementary Formations!
"Hmph! Mr. Hope is mean! Why do we still have to have classes during vacations? I'm never liking you again!" Little Mia mumbled under her breath.
Baiyi ignored her complaint, using the feather duster as his pointer on the chalkboard and said, "Mia, please answer this question."
The girl stood up, went to the chalkboard and scribbled for a good dozen minutes— and she still got it completely wrong.
The Soul Armature corrected her workings, showed her the correct answer, then coldly remarked, "Didn't I teach you the solution multiple times before we left? This is a key foundation! Tell me, do you want to get a wallop in your palm, or do you want to stand in a corner[1]?"
Little Mia replied coyly, "How about we braid my hair and call it a day?" She stuffed her twin tails into Baiyi's hand.
She was sentenced to stand in a corner for ten minutes.
While Mia and Tisdale were taking their magic lessons, Attie and Laeticia—both with different affinities—didn't get to escape class, either. Each of them was presented with a copy of The Complete History of Isythre and made to read it in a corner because Baiyi believed that "those who know history are less likely to repeat them".
"These… letters are so…. difficult," Laeticia murmured quietly in Attie's ears, causing an itch. "They look quite different from what Tisdale taught me…"
Attie cocked her head to her side and glanced at Laeticia's book. She hesitated and finally said, "Laeticia, your book is upside down."
"Oh."
Her face reddened as she swiftly turned the book upright, but at least, she was finally able to read the passage slowly but surely.
It had passed midday—and close to lunchtime—when Baiyi concluded the class. He handed out a few papers to the girls and said, "This is your homework for today. I'll check them when I return home tonight. If you don't finish them, or if there were too many mistakes… well."
He waved his feather duster, and colors were drained from the girls' faces.
During lunch, the girls reunited with Mordred. Her actions and behaviors were jarringly unnatural and mechanical, which was very different from how she acted normally. One could guess that she may have just finished some aristocratic ethics class.
"Huh…" All the girls were dispirited throughout lunch, their chins resting on the table. Maybe they were reflecting on their previous day's antics.
When the meal was over, and Baiyi once again whisked Aya away on a trip, Mordred visibly heaved a huge sigh of relief. However, when she turned to face her friends, she found them all wallowing in their unmotivated state.
"Mia, what's wrong?" She shook Mia's shoulders in concern.
"These handouts are so tough, and I don't know how to do them…" Mia showed her the paper Baiyi had given to them. She looked at Tisdale and asked, "What do you think, Big Sister Dale?"
Disheartened, Tisdale appeared just as upset as Mia was. "Not good either. Sir's homework for today is so much harder than usual. I think I'm gonna get another spanking…"
She rubbed her bottom as she trailed off traumatically.
"Is it about magic?" Mordred scanned their papers. She then rapped on her flat chest confidently, "Never fear, I'll help you!"
When dinner time came, Baiyi returned with Aya. He patiently waited for the girl to finish their meals, then had them submitted their work. As he read, the girls stood in a line before him as if they had all committed a crime and was waiting for their time.
It's no wonder they made such a guilty formation. After reading Mia and Tisdale's answer, he almost wanted to rip the papers into confetti. 'These two had completely forgotten everything I'd ever taught them after just a few days of games!'
In anger, his hand gripped the cheek of each girl, and he yanked mercilessly.
"Ah-oowww!" cried the girls as tears welled up.
He looked at Laeticia's paper—and indeed, it was her paper, for there were hardly words on them, and the lines that had actually been written on contained writings that resembled small and wiggly like worms.
Obviously, the answers were all wrong. "Mr. Hope, I'm sorry," She said, her hand automatically extended towards him for a beating.
"Huh. Never mind. You don't have the necessary foundation." he shook his hand in dismissal and grabbed Attie's paper.
'Not bad at all.' The answers were almost correct in every part, and that was why Baiyi furiously crumpled the paper into a ball and tossed it at a side, and his voice thundered afterward, "Who wrote the answers for you?!"
"M-Mr. Lecturer guy from the m-museum—"Attie was frightened out of her wits at Baiyi's display of rage, so she stammered out the truth.
"Hahaha. Meaning, you didn't learn anything, except how to get someone else to do your homework for you, hmph?" Baiyi snapped, grabbing Attie like a mother cat, placed her on his thigh and again spanked her with the feather duster five times.
Attie didn't manage to swallow the pain this time. She immediately burst into tears.
When Aya heard Attie's cry, she came over to find out what had happened. After learning of what transpired, Aya quickly went upstairs and into her room, and not very long after, Mordred's teary howl rang out from that same room.
Mia and Tisdale comforted Attie, but in their own minds, they were happy for their fortune. The sorcerer who Mordred had summoned using her prestige as the High Counsel's daughter couldn't answer questions about formations, so they had to do it on own in the end. In another reality, it may have been them whose butts were "unraveled".
Only Laeticia had been honest with her homework. She wouldn't cheat because she couldn't bear crossing her faith, so although she was the only one who submitted an almost empty paper, she was also the only one who didn't get punished in any way.
So after a few days wherein the feather duster reigned supreme, the girls finally settled down and improved. They even managed to recall their past knowledge, so they didn't really waste away throughout their holiday.
It had been a week. The girls were back to being docile, but the progress of the investigation seemed to have reached a bottleneck. Half a month worth of massive investigation had turned up fruitless, except for the confirmation that only the temperature had experienced some anomaly, leaving other aspects of nature to be largely stable.
In fact, even the wild beasts appeared to be accustomed to the change in environment, and their activities had slowly ceased.
Their conclusion was that although no one had any idea what caused the anomaly, its effect on the realm appeared to be largely controlled, with minimal consequence to those who lived within the thermal barriers. They concluded that the problem was probably never too serious to begin with.
The experts and elites were feeling quite awkward, however. The Armageddon scare turning out to be nothing was all good and well, but they had made a big fuss about it when they recruited everyone into their team, as well as delaying the much-anticipated Harvest Festival celebration. This had stirred up a major unrest among the consensus, and with this anticlimax… well, it just felt bad.
A lukewarm conclusion for such an epic buildup was partially due to Special Consultant Baiyi's suggestion. He was the one who first suggested that it could be an Armageddon, yet he was also the one who, in later meetings, who suggested that it probably wasn't as bad as it seemed, to the point of admitting that he may have been wrong in his judgment to hype up a small matter. For what it was worth, the people began to slowly settle down again.
Not a lot of people criticized Baiyi. Maybe some would mumble about him being a tad bit paranoid, or being too hung up on small details, but these little talks didn't do much to tarnish his name[2]. It was always better to be cautious about something strange.
All in all, Baiyi felt that all preparations had been completed. He had gained a position due to this anomaly, and he had acted confident and dependent throughout the Crisis. Even if anything were to occur later, he wouldn't think anyone would relate it to him.
At the same time, using the data collected from the research, he had significant reason to eliminate the possibility of finding the source of the anomaly through normal means. The final prize—was truly difficult to get a hold of.
He tried using the War God's Sword, but it yielded no results. In the end, all he was left with was one final method—and if that didn't work, he would have to admit it was all a practical joke from the War God and return without any gain.
…Well, not exactly without gains. For one, he had obtained something in the semblance of genuine companionship from the dragon-lady Aya.
The youthful dragon had been taking care of her appearance every day as she groomed herself into a dazzling presence. Every day she would wait outside the makeshift classroom demurely, like a devoted wife waiting for her husband.
But that was all there was. Close friends. Neither wanted to do more. Baiyi didn't, and Aya didn't seem to want to either; they were both single parents with kids. Their statuses were different, and their species very even farther apart. How would a relationship escalate from pure friendship?
'That's all there is to it,' Baiyi thought.
And as if to prove that, he stopped taking her out for the rest of the week. The research team had disbanded, the focus shifted to the preparations for the Harvest Festival, so it no longer mattered if Baiyi kept conducting his own expeditions.
He had used "on site learning" as his excuse to take turns bringing the girls to go out. Meanwhile, Aya was busy with her own duties and affairs as the High Council.
They both needed the space.
Too bad that sometimes Baiyi still found Aya standing by the entrance of the Command Unit, awaiting his return. This habit caused the rumors not to disperse completely, which slightly disappointed the Soul Armature.
Today was Attie's turn to go on a trip with him. The other girls were free again, but they were all conditioned to be obedient enough to only frolic in the dragon knights' plain.
Just as they were tired enough after playing and were about to go home, Mordred, who sat on the back of a lindworm, leaning her back on Mia's, her hand wrapping around her own knees, and her head slumped slightly sideways as he suddenly asked Mia,
"Hey, Mia. Do you think we'll be sisters?"

In fact, I don't know which country's netizens would be most excited to lambast this--China would jump in joy, I would guess, but that's only because I'm not too familiar with how the rest of the world treat things like these… My own country would certainly be very subversive and passive-aggressive, methinks!


Imagine being forced to live, after death, as incorporeal bodies trapped in a vast space of nothingness for thousands of years, with nothing to do but exchanging past memories with other cohabitants (read: weirdos).  Everybody wanted out, but there was no way to leave the Void... 
Until one day, a young man was finally summoned, as a powerful but reluctant mentor, by a bubbly and motivated but completely naive young girl. Baiyi, finally out of the Void, was the only one who could save all of the other 32 souls from their prison and his summoner might just be The Key to their freedom.
However, Baiyi had to use the techniques and abilities the other souls had taught him throughout the years, and together with his own extensive knowledge of anime and game tropes from his shady and dangerous past as an otaku, to face the biggest challenge of them all: training the clumsy young girl he was forced to partner up with… into a competent sorcerer!

Fuinjutsu was a really difficult subject for Takeru. Even with the continuous usage of shadow clones he was progressing much slower than to his liking. Toru had already taught all he knew about fuinjutsu to him and now he was learning from the fuinjutsu book in his possession. Takeru had already learned a few seals. From Toru he learned how to make storage seals and exploding tags and how to use them efficiently. From the book he leaned to make, use and bypass restriction seal and silencing seal with high proficiency. Takeru was now learning the gravity seal which he found very difficult. Although he predicted that he could learn it in a couple of weeks. Takeru had already mastered calligraphy. He now used his calligraphy skills to the fullest when using fuinjutsu. Although he could currently only use brush and ink to write seals, his target was to make seals using only chakra strings.

After Tobirama had taught Takeru the Shadow Clone Jutsu, he strictly prohibited him from using it too much and told him about the drawbacks of this technique which ranged from mild headache to death due to chakra exhaustion. Tobirama did not know about Takeru's mastery over this technique and that is why he gave Takeru the challenge of graduating the Institution within a year. If Tobirama knew that Takeru was far more skilled in shadow clones than even him. He would not have given Takeru that challenge. Takeru used shadow clones to their full potential and after 1 week, he had completely read and memorized everything he could from the Leaf Village Public Library.

Toru and Akane discussed among themselves and they realised how much distance had appeared between Takeru and them. They were sad and they did their utmost to change their behaviour and views towards shinobis. Takeru was shocked, when his mother Akane told him that she would teach him shurikenjutsu and kunai handling. Although he was gradually learning those with the process of trial and error. Having someone to teach him, would really cut down the time he needed to master the techniques . He would not have to correct his moves every single time to perfect his throws. So, Akane started teaching him daily, how to properly throw a shuriken, how to use it as a diversion or misdirection, how to alter a shuriken's path by hitting it with another shuriken, how to handle a kunai properly, best ways to use kunai in a fight. She even brought some senbon needles and taught him how to properly use and handle senbons. Takeru's talent amazed her. He learned things in a hour what others would take at least a week to learn. Akane finally realised how much their son had hidden from them, and she was distraught about it. She vowed that she would never let her prejudice towards shinobi to come between her family ever again.

It had been a week since Toru submitted the application form to the Hokage. Two days ago a courier-nin delivered a letter to them. The letter wrote that Takeru had formerly been accepted into the Institution and the new classes would begin two days after. So, today the Yamamoto family were walking towards the Institution in the morning. The building was situated behind the Hokage Tower and was one of the newer buildings in that area. It was quite near their house, so it did not take much time. Soon, they reached the building and saw many families there. Parents, fathers, mothers, other family and clan members standing in front of the gate of the building with their children and kids. The gate opened after sometime and the Yamamotos went in with the crowd. They were all asked to stand in the small training area in front of the building. A small podium was erected there.

A few moments later Hashirama Senju, the Hokage appeared on the podium and everyone cheered. The Hokage was extremely popular with the citizens of the village. The God of Shinobi was the not only the most powerful shinobi of this village but also the most charismatic one. The man oozed power and prestige and his mere presence demanded respect from others. The  Hokage was the face of the Hidden Leaf Village and he was like father and protector to each and every single one of the villagers.

The Hokage went to the front of the podium and said to all the listeners, "Hello, everyone. My name is Hashirama Senju. I would like to say a few words to you all. All of you came here to learn and grow, to make yourself better, to be the best you could be, but have you wondered why? Many of you have different goals, to either make your parents proud of you or to have people acknowledge you. Some might even want to be a hero, to protect your family and friends. I commend on your goals. But I want you to have another goal. It is to protect the village. Our village was established with only one goal in mind, to bring peace in our world of violence, to let children and kids your age laugh, play, enjoy their childhood without the fear of wars or conflicts. It is the reason we all can have hope. It is the reason we are all here. It is the reason why we must fight to protect the peace. It is the reason why we must protect our village, our home. Every single person in this village, be it your parents, your clan members, your friends, the people of the neighborhood, the citizens, everyone in this village is what we must protect. The Hidden Leaf is not the land it occupies, it is not the clans or families that live here, it is not me. It is the people. Without the people there is no Hidden Leaf. Do not see it as a mere village. See it as a one big family, your family. You, your parents, your friends, everyone you know is in this family. And we must always do our very best to fight for our family, to protect our family. I wish everyone who is starting their first step to greatness today in this Institution the best of luck. May the hope always stay with you. May the eternal fire that burns in all of our hearts lighten up the fire within you. You are the legacy of this village. You are the fire that will kindle the leaves and protect them. You are branches of the tree that is Hidden Leaf. With that said I will take my leave and wish all of you success in your future endeavours. Thank you". The Hokage left after giving a small and passionate speech. The crowd was cheering and applauding.

A man came out of the building and asked all of the children who wish to join, to form a line. All of them followed and formed a line. Takeru also joined them in the line. The parents and clan members of the children saw them off. Toru entered the building and went to the teacher's lounge in the Institution. Akane left for the hospital. The line was slowly shortening and kids went into the building in droves. Soon, it was his turn. The man took out his file and checked for any discrepancies. Then he handed Takeru a small booklet containing the curriculum of the Institution and told him his class number.

The curriculum spanned for 5 years in total. It included teaching how to read, write, language, basic mathematics, science, history, geography and physical activities in the first year. In the second year chakra theory and shinobi rules and code of conduct were added and were given more focus. Ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu and shinobi tools training began from the third year onwards. There were three types of classes in the Institution throughout the 5 years of curriculum. The A-rank class was for clan heirs, children of prestigious backgrounds and seeded, talented children with the sure prospect of becoming shinobis. The B-rank class was for regular civilians and normal citizens. Lastly the C-rank class was for children applying for non-shinobi courses.

Takeru was placed in class 1-B. Takeru found the classroom following map given in the booklet. He entered the room only to find other childrem shouting, running and playing around. The room was large with a high ceiling. The blackboard in the front of the room was also huge. In front of the blackboard was a podium, situated far from the students' desks and put in a position where the teacher could view everyone at once. Takeru calmly went to find himself a seat. He found one at the back of the room on the left side beside a window. Takeru sat in his seat and read the booklet in the cacophony of sounds. Soon, a man came into the classroom and the children stopped the ruckus. The man wore a grey high collared combat vest with black pants. He had black, spiky hair and had black sunglasses that covered his eyes. The man stood on the podium and addressed the class.

"Welcome, everyone. My name is Shin Aburame. You can call me Shin-sensei, Aburame-sensei or Instructor Shin. I will be your class teacher for this year. We will be learning how to read, write and some basic subjects. I hope you all brought notebooks and writing tools. Before I start the class, I would like all of you to introduce yourself to the class. We will start from the front. You first, introduce yourself." - the instructor asked.
"Hello, my name is…", each and every student started introducing themselves. Soon, it was Takeru's turn. The instructor asked him for his introduction. Takeru stood up coolly, "Hello, my name is Takeru Yamamoto. My dream is to be strong to protect my family, friends and the village. I hope we all can get along". After the introductions were over, the class started.

The instructor taught them all how to read and write very slowly, diligently and with care. Every student was having fun due to Aburame-sensei's antics, all but Takeru. Takeru was bored. He could write and read far better than an adult now. He knew he could have just gone to the instructor to ask about him skipping a year or so. But it would be disrespectful to do so on the first day. Takeru would have to wait a few days to completely master the first and second year courses and then ask for his promotion to higher classes. The day soon ended with the class ending for today. Takeru with all other kids went out of the institution. Toru was still teaching other classes. Akane came to bring Takeru to the house. She asked him about how his days went. Takeru replied casually that it was fun but boring. Akane understood that Takeru was much more mature than kids his age and was much further than them in studies. He asked for some money from his mother and went out to find a bookstore. He bought all the necessary books for his studies and came home. Takeru came home to see his shadow clones working on fuinjutsu. He nearly figured out the gravity seal. Takeru read and memorized each every book using his shadow clones.

It was a new week. Today Takeru was going to ask his instructor if he could skip a year or two. The class started as usual with Takeru being bored out of his mind. After the class ended Takeru waited until all kids went out of the room leaving only the instructor and him. He went to the instructor and asked, " Aburame-sensei, can I ask you something?".
"Oh, it is you, Takeru. Yes, ask away." - the instructor replied.
"Can I skip classes please?"
"Oh, and why would you want to do that?"
"You see, I do not mean to sound rude but I already know all about the first and the second year classes. I learned those from my parents and the books. I already know how to read, write and all about the basic subjects. I also know about chakra theory, shinobi rules and code of conduct fully. I can also use chakra and know a few jutsus. That is why I would like if you could grant me permission to move up a year or two. Please forgive me if I said anything out of bounds."
"Well, it has happened before but not from this section of yours. How about this, I will talk to the other teachers about your problem today and let you know our decision tomorrow. But know this, for you to move up years you would have to take an exam first before anything else. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I understand, sensei. I would do my very best in the exams."
"Do not worry, some children have the same problem you have. You are not the first. Now go home and study well. The exam will likely be held tomorrow."
"I will do that. Thank you sensei."
"It is alright. Now go."

Takeru went out happily as he could finally be free from the torture he received for a week. He went home to review the study materials. Toru and Akane came home that evening and after hearing their son they just smiled as they knew that Takeru was well ahead of his peers. Toru, as an instructor in the institution also knew about his son's request to skip years. He as his father fully agreed to his son's request and told the other teachers that Takeru would take the test tomorrow.

The next day came and Takeru went to the institution. As he was entering the building, Aburame-sensei called him out and said to him that his proposal to move up classes was accepted but he would have to take the test for that to happen. Takeru agreed and Aburame-sensei took him to an empty classroom. There were two other instructors in that room. After a giving a short introduction of Takeru to the instructors, Aburame-sensei soon went out of the room leaving the three. One instructor asked him why he wanted to move up classes.

Takeru answered that he already completed all the courses of the first and second year and he wished to learn more. The other instructor gave him a question paper and some answer sheets and told him to finish the test within the time limit of 3 hours. The exam started and ended far too soon as Takeru completed the test in a record time. He blazed through the questions which were far too easy for him and finished the test in just 10 minutes. Then he gave his answer sheets to the instructor. The two instructors' eyes widened as they checked the sheets. All of the questions were answered correctly even the few complicated moral questions, which should be practically impossible for a kid of Takeru's age. They could not even negate 1 mark without being unreasonable. They sighed and marked his answer sheets. Takeru scored a full marks on the written exam.

The two instructors calmed down in a few moment and told him to follow them. The three soon came to the training area in front of the building. There was an obstacle course in the side of the area. The instructor told Takeru that this will be the final test, an obstacle course test. He would have to finish the obstacle course while one of the instructors would throw wooden, blunted training kunai and shuriken at him. The time limit was 5 minutes. Takeru got ready in a sprinting pose. The instructor whistled and the test started and ended in a few moments. In just 30 seconds Takeru nearly flew through the obstacle course like there were not any obstacles.

The instructor throwing kunais and shurikens tried his hardest to hit Takeru but could not do so no matter how hard he tried. The instructor was dumbstruck at this situation, it was like this kid had eyes everywhere around his body. He surely was not a Hyuga but this kids movements and instincts were even sharper than a well made katana. Takeru reached the finish line and waited for the judgement of these two instructors. The two men looked at each other's eyes for a few moments with only one thought in their mind, 'This kid is a freaking monster'. The lead instructor gave Takeru marks according to his performance which was the maximum he could possibly give. As Takeru was not hit by any of the kunais or shurikens a single time during his run and completed the obstacle course in a record time of 30 seconds, he was given full marks in the practical exam too. One of the instructors went into the building with Takeru's scoresheets and the other one came to Takeru, congratulated him for passing with such good results and told him to that from tomorrow onwards he will be attending the class 3-A. He also gave Takeru a list of books and the complete course of the third year classes.

Takeru went home that day skipping in joy. After his parents returned, he told them about him passing the tests with flying colours. Toru and Akane showered him with love. Akane made a small feast for her son and specially made Takeru's favourite riceballs. Toru was also proud of him and promised him that he would increase the intensity of his training so he could catch up to the older kids in senior classes.

That night Takeru finally figured out the gravity seal completely. The seal worked on anything physical, be it humans, animals, plants, rocks or sand. It worked on any living being or objects. The seal had a definite sphere of influence which could be increased or decreased by the user. The seal would also work on specific beings or objects, altering the gravity of the said thing or lifeform only without influencing the environment. Takeru used his shadow clones to master the seal that night using it on various objects first, then he used the seal on his clones and found that it worked fine.

Takeru found an altering and limiting seal in the book which was easy enough to learn and made a project to combine the three seals, the restriction seal, the gravity seal and the alter and limit seal into one seal. He found that although these three seals were seperately only low-to-mid level seals. The combination of these three could become a high level one. Takeru theorised that he could even apply the seal to himself for training purposes. He now just needed a seal that disrupts the chakra flow, a seal that prevents someone from accessing their chakra and a tracking seal to combine with the previous three seals and he could theoretically create a single seal that would entrap, bound and completely neutralize any enemy he would apply the seal to. Takeru was happy with his progress but he knew that he could not slack off. The world would slowly descend into a new phase of wars soon and only by growing strong enough he would be able to face the challenges that would show up in the future.

What happens when an unsuspecting average guy gets unwillingly reincarnated into an unknown world he did not wish for?

After a whole day of explaining and drawing formations, mom tiredly laid and rolled around on the jade bed.

"Good work. It has been hard on you." Dad came into the room and sat beside mom.

"Uuuuuuuughhhhhh... Who knew explaining and drawing formations would be so tiring..." Mom playfully whined.

"Well, carrying Yan'er  the whole time probably, didn't help." Dad commented while patting mom's head.

"Muuu~ Yan Yan wants to learn, so of course I will teach!" Mom pouted.

"...Of course. As you say, if Yan'er wants to learn alchemy or fist arts, I will be glad to teach her." Dad agreed, not stopping his hand the whole time.

"Since mommy worked very hard, Daddy should reward her~! Why don't you give mommy a massage all over her body, and I will go to the living room and read some books." I helpfully suggested while withholding the teasing smirk that is tugging at my lips.

'Mommy is just so fun to tease~ Her reactions are very kewt~'

"Eh...? I-if, you're fine with it..." Mom stuttered, a light flush starting to spread across the skin exposed from beneath her fluttery dress from rolling around on the bed.

"O-oh-of course, I'm fine with it. Let me reward you for your hard work..." Dad replied, starting to blush a little

"O-oh, right... I also haven't made it worth your while for earlier this morning..." Mom trailed off, her voice getting softer and softer.

"Okay then, I will leave you 2...(lovebirds) alone and go to the living room and read my books~" I informed them as I casually pushed open the door and walked out of the room, whispering the 'lovebirds' part to myself under my breath.

The couple just blushingly stared at each other, and stayed where they were, with the wife lying on the bed back facing up, and the husband sitting nearby with his legs crossed.

"S-so, will you r-reward me...? I will definitely pay you back well, plus this morning's too..." The wife shyly mentioned after a while of staring at each other.

"O-of course, I should reward my hardworking, tired wife with a massage..." The husband gulped.

The husband crawled over to the wife's side, and started massaging her tired muscles all over her body, and the wife guided him to the muscles that are more fatigued.

'Today was rather interesting. I got to saw and learn about many different materials, and how formations were made. Mom drew 3 different types of formations :
Qi Gathering Formation,
Protection Formation,
and Cushioning Formation.
The last one, in particular, she drew a few copies of it, at the floor just outside the house, and the 4 sides of the house. Mom mentioned that it was usually drawn on all sides of boxes carrying fragile goods, so the goods will be in pristine condition even after bumpy rides.
She said it was for me, so that I wouldn't get hurt when I fall from high places or knock into the wall. She also warned me about looking where I go, so I don't knock my head or body on something.
The Qi Gathering Formation was drawn right outside the Cushioning Formation surrounding the house, and just beyond that formation, is the Protection Formation. So three layers of formations drawn just outside the house, with 4 more on the walls of the house. That's a lot of formations.'

"Well, at any rate, I can finally read my books now! Time to binge read and go in full throttle~!" I happily hummed as I skipped over to the bookshelves.

"Let's see... I think I begin from where the dictionaries are. It should be where all the 'entry-level' stuff is right?" I pondered as I browsed the titles of books written on the spine.

'Introduction to the Human Language, Further Studies of the Human Language, Human Language for Dummies!, Lul wut, why is there the for dummies series even in another world?? Hehehe.
But If they put it like that, does it mean that Chinese is the language of the human race in this world? Interesting. Looks like the other races will have different languages as well.

"Whew~!" I wiped my forehead and looked at the books scattered on the floor.
"...I should probably organize this." I said to myself and started stacking the books in order.

"So divination at the bottom, then botany, taming, cooking, talisman, formations, medicine, alchemy annnnnd forging. I'll read the body tempering one first." I thought out loud as I separated the Introduction to Body Tempering book from the pile.

'Hmm... I see a very tiny amount of extremely faint light green Qi on the books... Is this the Wood Qi from the wood used to make the paper...?' I mused as I opened the book and caress the pages.

The Body Tempering Realm is usually done early in a child's budding years, before every child's growth spurt happens. This is because a child's body is the most pliable.

'Ahem... Feels a little off-putting... or is it just me...?'

Training, for a child, easily improves their body's physical aspects, giving twice the results for half the effort. After the growth spurt ends, wanting to train the body truly is more difficult for the typical adult, only giving half the results for twice the effort.

The stages of Body Tempering has been passed down since ancient times. It is separated into 3 large phases, each with their own minor stages.
The First, is Strength Training. The human body, when born, is naturally weak. It was made that way by the Primordial Gods, but that is another story. However, the human body, though weak, was made to be very adaptable. Hence, a system of training was set up to improve the physical capabilities of the human body.
The Strength Training Phase is about making the muscles stronger by placing burdens on your muscles, by doing strenuous activities, like running for your life, or hunting for your life, and the like.

'Pffftt. The author is like purposely making jokes or something. Most kids have low attention spans unless they are interested, soooo, makes sense, I guess. Assuming kids even get the joke.'

The Strength Training Phase, like many other realms, is split into 3 minor stages, and a peak. Early, Middle, Late, and then Peak. The Peak is a very special, so-called minor stage, as it is used to describe a maximum, of sorts.
When you begin strength training, you officially enter the beginning of Early stage Strength Training Phase. At this moment, an average 5 years-old kid would be able to lift 10 jins, depending on how old you are.

'Jins? If I'm not mistaken... 1 jin is half a kilogram, so 10 jins is 5 kg... that is pretty good, I guess.'

When you have trained enough, you would slowly move into the actual Early stage of Strength Training Phase. By now, an average kid would be able to carry about 50 jins, which is when you would officially enter the Early stage, or, 1st stage of Body Tempering Realm.
When you can carry about 100 jins of weight to above your head, it is a sign of you truly entering the peak of Early stage Strength Training Phase.

Since I have explained the gist of it, I will shorten my words and proceed to the goals to aim for. Your strength will incrementally increase with training, and when you become able to lift a certain weight above your head with your arms straight, is signs you've reached a certain level.

'Is the author getting lazy? I mean, he has to write it with hand sooo, maybe? No printing press? I mean the words I've seen so far are all written by hand, with each having their own various quirks.'

At the peak of Middle stage Strength Training Phase, the 2nd stage of Body Tempering Realm, you should be able to lift about 200 jins above your head.
At the peak of Late stage Strength Training Phase, the 3rd stage of Body Tempering Realm, you should be able to lift about 300 jins above your head.
At the peak of Peak stage Strength Training Phase, the peak 3rd stage of Body Tempering Realm, you should be able to lift about 400 jins above your head.

Please note that there may be discrepancies depending on age, gender and body size. A younger, female, with small body size, at the peak of Peak stage Strength Training Phase, may only be able to lift 350 jins above their head, which is good, considering all factors. Females are usually weaker in strength compared to males. It is a natural difference in bodies, and is nothing to be ashamed or sad about.
A male at the same age with the same body size, as well as at the peak of Peak stage Strength Training Phase may only be able to lift 300 jins, or 375 jins. It varies a lot from human being to human being, so just train hard, and you will be rewarded.

'Hmm... The author is very decent. Quite objective. Perhaps, it was written by a true seeker of knowledge similar to I. I see little of the usual male superiority and stuff commonly found in worlds of 'less advanced civilizations' in this introductory book.'

The second phase of the Body Tempering Realm, is the Bone Forging Phase. This phase is about forging your bones, so that your bones can withstand the impact of the fights you will have, whether with other humans, or beasts, brought forth by the strength of your stronger muscles.

Finally, I would like to say that all of these numbers are from a study on children of 10 years-old. All of the same age, with various body size, and all of the body sizes each have equal amounts of male and female children. All of these children's results are then compiled and averaged out, to obtain the number you see. It was difficult to find many children of age 10 at the peak of Peak stage Tendon Transformation Phase, as such children have gifted bodies to be able to reach such levels of strength after a mere 10 years of living in this world.
Being able to use 1200 jins of strength at 10 years old is absolutely amazing, and it means that you have already entered the Peak stage of Body Tempering Realm, and have successfully fulfilled the hardest requirement, besides waiting until 10 years old for the dantian and meridians to mature properly, to be able to immediately try to sense Qi and enter the Qi Cultivation realm, the first step on the extremely long road to immortality!

'Phew. That wasn't too bad. Very informative, but doesn't say anything about methods to temper the body...But the 10 years old thing was interesting. So to sense Qi and enter the Qi Cultivation realm, requires waiting until 10 years old. Seems strange, considering I could sense Qi like, when I was just born...
It was short compared to the dictionaries, but then again, each page of the dictionaries are filled with words. This book is probably aimed at children, if they can sit down and read.
However, I feel like this Body Tempering Realm is missing a lot... The whole human body certainly does not just constitues the muscles, bones and tendons... What about the organs?
Since it was mentioned that these methods were passed down from ancient times, perhaps it was because the bodies of ancient humans were more formidable, due to the abundant amounts of Qi of Heaven and Earth. The wanton usage of Qi is probably dwindling the supply of Qi faster than the real Yin and Yang cycle can produce...
Sigh. Wherever I go, intelligent life will never be considerate of their surroundings, will they? Maybe a few, rare enlightened ones, but the majority probably don't think about it. Due to many reasons, but perhaps they just have too much on their plate just surviving. This should be a rather cruel world due to the dwindling resources.' I carefully mused and contemplated over the contents of the book.

Sunday is a perfect day to test my new skill, the skill of being a newfound mage. A fire mage, I really like the idea of that. Natsu would be proud, maybe even Happy would be too! Crap I'm losing track of my current goal. I need to be prepared to form this spell for the first time. 

Nice everybody is asleep! That's great for doing this in secret. The fame would be too much for me to handle at this young age. I leave the quiet room of my block and go outside to the yard. Carrying the book just in case of a mistake or emergency if it comes to that. The grin on my face is something that can't be broken. 

Putting the spellbook on a table next to where I can practice my shot. Okay think of the spell in your mind and try to harvest the thought to form the spell in my hands. 

Campfires and bonfires come to my mind. Skyrim pops out of nowhere with mages shooting fire spells at my character. The spitting image of Ghostrider on his motorcycle played by Nicholas Cage is floating my mind. Why now of all times?

The burning urge to fart comes to my body, I try to release it but nothing happens. Now it feels like something big is coming out. Please don't! Closing my eyes waiting for the death of my very cheeks. Nothing happens again. 

(A/N: When I was writing this I had to go! Im sorry!) 

The urge disappears and a third-degree burn of pain hits my hands and sends me to the ground gripping to my chest. 

Suddenly the pain decreases into a small wince and a flame lights up my shirt. The flame that is shaped into a ball, floating above my palm ready to be released. 

I stand still, aiming my shot down the short makeshift range and fire at a medium-sized boulder. The spell hits the rock and explodes it into a paste. The rock no longer exists. 

Holy Natsu Dragneel! Did I just do that? That was crazy! 

The ball of fire finds its way back to my hand and sits ready to be launch once more. The burning pain erased from palms, the feeling of holding the ball is there. I never felt something like this before. To do magic is something I thought would be impossible. Let alone see it happen in front of my very eyes. 

So magic exists in this world, which makes this a hundred percent confirmed fantasy. All the games and shows I watched can all be possible now. 

The Fireball is gone and is vanished from sight and the time is around eight in the morning, soon the other kids will wake up. Sneaking back into my bed and drifting off to a peaceful slumber.

(3 Hours Later in 3rd person pov)

The sleeping Jay is lying in a very uncomfortable position on top of his bunk. While the other kids are doing Sunday's activities. 

(A/N: Why does that sound like a tavern name? The Sleeping Jay)

Sakura a Ferrianese who is mopping the floor with a rag. Her brown hair is tied in a ponytail and her shirt sleeves are rolled up to her shoulders. Her face is beyond cute and has no marks of scratches or dust. For a ten-year-old, she is a model on Earth. 

Her race the Ferrianese are a form of Japanese that is ultimately the same in Teris. Palish skin with natural thin bodies. The Ferrianese live in large groups and have an enormous knowledge of the magic arts. Ferrianese come from the Empire of Ferrian that is to the east of the Kingdom of Baccus. 

It's uncommon to have Ferrianese this far west right in the middle of the Kingdom. 

While she is doing that Little Jax and Archon are washing clothes with a washboard. Both Archon and Little Jax are Ardian. The cream and the crop of the Kingdom. The Ardian are born in the region and is ruled by an Ardian known has King Parmenion. He rules as a great and noble king for the people living in it. He lives in the capital of Theo in the slight north of Cedarwood. 

Besides the bed of Jay is Valerie reading a book titled 'The Bard's Way' Valerie wants to become a bard by the name. She does sing every now and then, dancing with the tune coming from her voice. The other children love to play sweet little jingles with her like a band. The kids enjoy her being in the orphanage and so does Jay, as a boost to his day. Although she sure does worry about the powerful young boy and makes medicine for him when he's sick or exhausted. 

On the other hand, the quiet girl of Earlene an Ardian as well with her pitch-black hair. Looking through a window to the outside following the birds in the trees of the forest. Nature is her favorite place to be in with animals running around and birds chirping. With the same look she gives nature she gives Jay. 

The headmistress watches through a small window in her room so she can monitor every now and then. A book in her hands with an indescribable grin on her face. She knows the fact that Jay can do magic and do it at such a young age. It takes years to learn one single spell and he can do it in a matter of hours. She knows that Jay is a chosen one or a fallen one, which one is not clear to her but he is 'one' of them. 

Jay, who is still sleeping in an unfathomable position gets moved by the sweet Valerie into a more favorable place. She does this to care for him. Nobody knows why she does this action for him and him alone. But she keeps quiet about the whole matter entirely. Usually changing the topic of discussion when hearing about it. 

Shirring awake the sleeping Jay moves his head up straight into Valerie's face. 

*Mwah* 

*Slap* 

Not knowing what he just did got a nice hard slap in the face from Valerie. Opening his eyes to the pain from her titan of a slap, bangs his head on the wood furnishing of his bed. Knocking him out cold. 

Every kid looks at what just happen besides Earlene who saw the whole thing. Valerie has a deep blush on her cheeks about as red as her hair.  

"H-he took my f-first...k-kiss!" Valerie puts her hands to her lips. 

"He did what now!?" Archon speaks instantly in a rapid daze of his beat friend getting the whack of a century or from peer jealousy. 

Little Jax is laughing his butt off getting the floor wet from the still wet clothes in his hands. Making Sakura stop him from going to haywire. Earlene is blushing too with Valerie because she just took Jay's first kiss. 

And Zena does not give a rat's ass about this whole situation not taking a single glimpse. 

"Jay and Valerie sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Little Jax sings the famous rhyme and jumps up and down. 

Archon shuts his mouth before any more words can come out. Then Sakura starts singing the song. At this point, it's complete mayhem with no signs of stopping. Lucky for Jay who was knocked out is sleeping without any worry.

(2 Hours Later in Jay's pov)

What a massive headache right when I woke up. What even happened when I was asleep? And why is Valerie so scared of me now? Shit...did they find out about me doing magic!? Big Yikes!  Little Jax is not scared of me or Archon is, not even Sakura. 

Maybe asking Sakura about what happened will help me.

She is sitting on her bed relaxing writing on a black piece of paper. 

"Sakura can I ask you something? Walking up to her waving. 

"You kissed her!" Sakura just blurts out without looking in my direction continuing to write. 

Wait...I did what now!? I k-kissed Valerie! An underage girl! Im going to jail aren't I, why did this happen!? Hold up I'm the same age as her ain't I. No my mental age is 28 but my physical age is 10. So no crime! That scared me half to death. 

"When? Where?" Asking her with a dumb look on my face. 

"I would say around 11:30 in your bed." Still not looking up. 

It just keeps getting worse and worse, I have now slept with her. Holy mackerel I messed up big time. 

"Then she slapped you against the bed that knocked you out." Sakura finally looks up with a smile. 

That's where the headache came from and why is she smiling like that? This whole orphanage is full of weirdos! 

I should apologize but that is gonna be a hassle in a half. Valerie is a girl that forgets things very easily. In a day or two, she will not remember this. 

Now should be the time I do my daily tasks. Hang the clothes for drying and prepare dinner. 

The task was simple while the second was not as much. Vegetable stew with a small side of bread. I can cook ramen and mac and cheese but not a stew. Popping the carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes patches in the pot. 

After an hour or so of preparing the semi tasty stew, dinner time arrived. Everybody finds there respected seat and looks at my terrible plating skills with hot steam pouring above. 

Before anybody can start to take a bite, I start to say the prayer to the god of nutriment. The others do the same and dig in. Valerie at this point completely forgot the incident that occurred just a few hours ago. Sat right next to me munching on the stew. 

Small chat happens between us about the next day and stories of the witch. 

The dinner was fairly good to everybody's surprise. It was Jay's work after all. Getting ready for bed we get settled in our beds. 

Passing off into a night sleep.

(Later in the week on Thursday) 

Picking herbs in the garden that Zena maintains. Lavender and Ash Mint both used to make a type of healing potion. The purple of the Lavender and the white of the Ash Mint makes a clear white liquid that can magically heal the drinker. Not the traditional red color of a healing potion it still has the same condition. 

She asked for them so I had to go and get them. She mixes the herbs together in a mortar and the liquid forms, she pours it into a glass bottle. Making three more bottles of the healing potion, she hides them away in a small chest at the end of her bed. 

She does this every Thursday and one time when I snuck into her room while she wasn't here. I opened the chest noticing that none was left. 

I have thought about it for a while now, and the best possible connection is that she is selling them. Perhaps a drug dealer if that is the term to use for a potion seller. 

Anyways she is quiet about it every time I ask. By the years from watching her make the potions, I have learned the basics. Mix the herbs into the mortar and mix it with the pestle do form the liquid and pour it in an empty bottle and boom a potion. You just need the right herbs and spices to make the selected potion. 

She lets me craft it and that boosted my understanding of it to a max.  

After the potion making, I decide to hang out with Archon. He was in the backyard shooting a bow at a target. A bow that was gifted to him by Zena on his birthday last month. The makeshift arrows in his quiver are made of nice quality of wood and stone heads. 

"Hey, Archy!" I say picking up an arrow and inspecting it. 

"Don't call me...that Jay!" Archy hits the target straight on the bullseye. "Nice!"

"Good shot!" I pat him on the back. "Can I have a go?" 

"Sure."  He says handing me the bow. 

I grab the bow from his hands and take aim down the short range. Firing I hit the target and bit to the left of Archon's shot. My gamer instincts are coming in handy. 

"Nice!" Archon says giving me a high five. 

Of course I return the high five, who wouldn't. Taking aim once more. I fire with higher accuracy this time and hit right above Archon's arrow. 

"Im so good!" Picking up the arrows that are in the target. 

"That was awesome! How are you so good at everything?" Archon puts up his bow and takes the arrows away from me. 

"Gaming my guy! Its the true way!" I say with a grin. 

"Gaming? Like your playing chess or checkers?" Archon puzzling looks at me. 

"I guess you can call that gaming." I say now with an annoyed look. 

My mind now thinks of Archon has the annoying guy that says phones with 'games' are video games. Every time a person says that is at the bottom of my list of friends. But Archon said chess was a game so we are good!

"It getting dark! Wanna call it a night?" Archon says putting the bow in its storage along with the arrows. 

"Sure!" I say walking back into the orphanage with Archon. 

This last couple of days have been nothing but excellent, my swordsmanship has reached a point of beating Apollo. I learned magic and how to mix herbs together to make a potion. I also got my first weapon in this world. 

I wonder what will happen next? My first quest or journey!

Hello-Im Julian or Jay like my friends like to call me. I'm your normal High School student or I would have thought before I was reincarnated into a different world. I still can't believe it myself but it happened to me. I missed my family and friends on Earth but I'm sure that is no way to go back. After one year of searching for a way out nothing pop up.
