Lucien started to draw the mysterious patterns surrounded by many circles using the blood and flesh from his broken arm. The patterns looked very creepy and it seemed that they contained the ultimate myths of the human body, the world, and the whole universe.
Carina stared at the magic circle that Lucien was building and murmured, "The three symbols represent spirit, consciousness and their carrier… They are at the same level, probably stands for the soul. The five symbols in the outer ring are the traditional symbols in the school of Necromancy, representing blood, bone, flesh, organ and life force… They might stand for the body. And the rest of the four symbols… sun, silver moon, stars, and darkness represent the world where an individual lives in. Is this a magic circle combining Necromancy and Astrology? And it seems that the different positions and lines have different functions…"
This was a very precious chance for Carina to learn about an advanced magic circle.
When he finished drawing the basic patterns of the necromantic magic circle named Miranda 12 Circles, Lucien turned the rest of the bone, blood, and flesh into some thick liquid. He used the liquid as ink and drew several special lines for connecting the twelve circles, surrounding the mysterious symbols.
Then he used the rest of the liquid as the magic conductor in the power passage of the magic circle. Using the flesh and blood from Adam, Lucien rebuilt the symbols standing for darkness, blood, and consciousness.
Lucien's spiritual power lit up the lines in the magic circle, and it felt that the light was full of life force. Very quickly, the circles were all integrated together, and the light was suddenly restrained within the area of the magic circle.
The magic circle now looked more organized, and every part had connected to each other as if the magic circle was alive. From some angles, the magic circle looked like a three-dimensional structure.
Carina saw the magic circle as a piece of artwork.
At this time, Lucien said to her, "Carina, when the energy pool starts to boil, you use your spiritual power to activate the symbol representing darkness."
Carina suddenly pulled her thoughts back.
Lucien repeated his words, and Carina hurriedly nodded with her flushed cheeks, "I will, Mr. Lucien."
He nodded, as trusting Carina was his only option right now. He had not managed to learn simulacrum spells to use a duplicate.
He turned to the two knights, "Alva and Bullard, you two protect Carina. Don't let anything distract her."
"As you command, Mr. Lucien," Alva and Bullard responded seriously.
Lucien nodded. Finally, he said to Adam, "Let's go to the central section."
"Yes!" Adam was very excited, as he had been waiting for this moment for several decades!
...
Bang! Bang!
Two steel golems fell onto the ground. Their limbs were still twitching.
Looking at the golems, Adam said to Lucien sincerely, "If I was all by myself here, it would be very difficult for me to finish even one golem because of the limited space. I have to say that you sorcerers are really powerful."
"This is the power of knowledge," Lucien answered briefly. He stared at the patterns of the magic circles on one of the golems and slightly shook his head, "Most things usually have their advantages and disadvantages. Without the magic circles, building a stronger layer of a metal shell for resisting magnetic field interference would be possible, but if that was the case, on the other hand, pure steel could not handle the power of a grand knight or the elemental spells. The solution could only be provided by the next evolvement of knowledge."
Adam did not really understand Lucien's words. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "You probably want to crack the protection magic circle first. The old witch might come back at any time."
The magic circle at the center of the tower was way more complicated than the one in the energy core. Fortunately, it still followed the mechanism of most senior-rank magic circles. It took Lucien about an hour and a half to crack it.
This an hour and a half were beyond torturing to the prison breakers. Even Adam, the determined level five grand knight, could not avoid walking back and forth, feeling extremely anxious.
Lucien knew that Carina, Alva, and Bullard might also have reached their limit. At this time, even a common flesh golem could break their nerves.
However, because they were too far away from each other, Lucien could not contact them using Telepathic Bond. He had to trust them.
Seeing that Lucien opened the black gate, Adam released a long sigh and said, "This is the longest half an hour in my whole life. We're lucky that the old witch hasn't come back."
"Let's go. This isn't the end." Lucien stepped on the stairs behind the gate.
Having no idea what was waiting for them in the front, and also when the old witch would come back, Lucien too felt very nervous and anxious.
Adam's body was again covered by the dark mist, and he carefully followed Lucien to the stairs.
Suddenly, the stairs started to wriggle!
The gray wall and stairs quickly became as red as blood and flesh and they started to produce white and green acid. As soon as the acid touched the absorbing wall protecting Lucien, it made very disturbing sizzling noises.
Adam, although having turned himself into part of the darkness, was still slightly hurt by the acid, which was totally out of his expectation.
"Damn it!" swore Adam, "The acid shouldn't be able to hurt me!"
Lucien answered him through the telepathic bond, "It's the witch's special spell, not some common acid! It can corrode and digest one's soul!"
As he was saying, Lucien started to run as fast as he could. There was no way to deactivate the magic circle. Every time the old witch came back, the magic circle would work, but she must be always prepared for this.
This was one of the most effective ways for many sorcerers to protect the places that were important to them. Fortunately, both Lucien and Adam did not lower their guards, instead, they had equipped themselves with all kinds of protections very well.
The red stairs were wriggling like crazy, like a human being's intestine digesting food.
Struggling, Lucien and Adam climbed toward the way out crazily.
Like an open mouth, close to the exit, there were lips and teeth. However, right now the mouth was closing, as if there was a time limit for one to leave this place!
Using the spell Speed, Lucien and Adam moved very fast. The exit was closer and closer to them!
However, at this time, the absorbing wall had reached its limit and in the next second, it collapsed into shining pieces.
Lucien did not waste his time on casting Douglas' Absorbing Wall again, instead, he grabbed Adam's arm and used Short Distance Teleportation.
Following the flashing, Lucien and Adam appeared on the stairs a few steps away from the exit!
The spell could not move them far enough!
Lucien knew this well. Regardless of the sharp pain in his skin, he shot out like an arrow. Rushing through the teeth, he fell onto the thick carpet. He quickly dodged to the other side as Adam followed right behind him. Lucien felt a bit relieved and then started to look around.
That place should be the old witch's study. On one side, there were several rows of bookshelves. On the opposite side, a couple of beautiful statues of women were placed there. In the middle, there was a fancy desk, on which center there was a crystal ball. Inside the crystal ball, the mini model of the whole magic tower was displayed!
However, the old witch wearing the red robe was sitting right behind the desk!
Her skin sagged horribly and wrinkles covered her whole face.
Both Lucien and Adam were startled when seeing the witch!
When Lucien was about to cast spells, he realized that something was wrong here. So he hurriedly stopped Adam and said, "It's okay. It's just a mirrored reflection."
Adam was still very nervous, "Reflection?!"
"This is a sixth-circle spell that produces a mirrored reflection of the caster. The reflection could move and speak under the control of the caster as well, however, it cannot use magic. If we attack it, the witch will know," said Lucien, trying his best to slow down his own beating heart.
Then, Lucien started to cast spells to cure the wounds on himself and Adam left by the strong acid.
Adam complained, "The bloody witch looks crazy, but she's still very insidious."
After that, Lucien cast a few defensive spells on himself and then walked to the crystal ball, trying to analyze the controlling hub.
About almost an hour later, when it was already close to midnight, Lucien finally finished his analysis. He put his right hand on the crystal ball and started to cast the spell. He pierced his spiritual power into the crystal ball like a needle.
In order to control the crystal ball. Lucien must not only crack it but also remove the spiritual imprint in it left by the old witch!
His spiritual power swam around in the crystal ball through many obstacles and finally reached the core part, where the old witch's spiritual imprint was in.
Feeling the threat, the crystal ball suddenly lit up like a shining sun.
All the magic patterns and symbols in the crystal ball were shining, concentrating the power of the entire magic tower to kill the intruder.
In the energy core, Carina saw that the energy pool started to boil. She instantly activated the magic circle left by Lucien.
The twelve circles lit up at the same time, and the darkness from the magic circle suddenly filled up the whole space. Everything seemed to have been frozen.
Being very decisive, Carina, Alva, and Bullard hurriedly turned around and ran toward the gate in the darkness.
The energy flow had been cut off. The crystal ball lost the protection!
If Lucien failed to remove the spiritual imprint, he would die from the great energy that would bounce back.
Ten seconds… That was all Lucien had.
At this time, the mirrored reflection behind the desk suddenly started to become alive. The angry voice came from afar, "You two nasty flies! I'll turn you two into dried bodies!"
The life force in the reflection was getting stronger and stronger. Within a second, the old witch had come back!
The sixth-circle spell, Position Exchange!
After using this spell, the two preset targets within the range of five hundred meters could be connected together. Within a second, the two targets could switch their positions! This was probably this old witch's unique magic!
No one could ever look down upon a sorcerer, even if he or she was an ancient sorcerer!


"A falling star has brought the chaos. The throne of fate has lost its master. The nonbeliever who walks in light and darkness will make his debut."
In this magic world, knowledge is power.


"Swoosh!"

Transparent blue orbs were seen zooming over the grass as it avoided the trees around them nonchalantly.

Within these orbs were Lester and the others who all sat in lotus positions, concentrating on their destination.

"How magical this is…" Lester murmured to himself as he was inside of the orb. He was surprised at how agile and fast the orbs were, in addition, he was happy at how easy it was to control these things and how comfortable and convenient it was. Shame that it was a limited use item, "If they mass produce these they must have a way to create it…" Lester thought to himself as his orb continued to move

As he sat in the orb there was not a single movement on his hair and robe as the inside of this orb was completely calm and unbothered by the outside movement.

"These symbols…" Lester murmured as he noticed small transparent symbols on the orb. These symbols were quite hard to notice and would require extreme focus to be noticed. 

Lester felt as if these symbols looked quite similar to some of the symbols used for the manipulations he had, "I need to research this more in-depth, I could gain something from this."

The four had just reached Sunderban National park and were amazed at the scenery that was before them. There had been many stories of the world-changing due to the fact that humans were no longer being destructive in them and QI being a huge factor in the way nature was able to evolve. 

The national park had a mixture of green and blue as there were waterways everywhere, and occasionally they could feel the orb they were in traveling at high speeds transition above the grass to the water and vice versa. Everywhere they look was a beautiful scene deserving of a picture, however, they knew that despite this beauty there were dangerous beasts that lurked in the shadows.

After a few more minutes of traveling the orbs began to slow down and eventually they popped like bubble gum, returning to their original necklace appearance.

As the four analyzed their surroundings a strange eerie feeling overcame them. Although their surroundings were filled with gorgeous nature, there was something strange about knowing you might not be the apex predators anymore. 

"This place is beautiful!" Patrick explained in a low voice as he looked around with glowing eyes.

"I agree but please stay alert. We are looking for a beast that should be a few miles west from us, stay vigilant and prepared for combat." The Holyman spoke with a serious tone.

The four of them agreed and began walking towards the West, with high alert.

Using his Qi Divine Sense, Lester was able to spot something not too far away from them. It was a high concentration of Qi. The Divine sense allowed Lester to be more sensitive to Qi around him.

"Guys." Lester stopped in his tracks as everyone stopped to look at him.

"There is a high concentration of QI towards that way…" Lester pointed to his North," It doesn't seem to be a monster as the concentration isn't too big and in addition, it's only one."

Everyone here understood that this could be extremely dangerous, but there was also that realist thought that nothing good comes easy, and if they want to progress and become better, they must pursue opportunities despite the dangers.

"We could check it out… It could be a Power Fruit that has been trending worldwide at the moment!" Patrick said.

"Powerfruits aren't that easy to come by, besides although there has been talking no one has been able to acquire a so-called Power Fruit yet." Said the holy man as the Hair Witch walked next to him nodding her head.

Lester knew about power fruits as the internet had been going bonkers for them the past few weeks. It is said that there have been some fruits around the world blessed by the heavens that can store a huge amount of qi within them. Those lucky enough to eat one would be able to rise in cultivation lever instantly. Although no one has seen a human consume it, a drone was able to spot a strange eel-eating one that had grown beside a lake, The Eel proceeded to grow four wings and fly into the sky like a powerful dragon.

As they began to move towards the location that Lester could feel the Qi concentration from, they were shocked to notice something far ahead.
There was a tree in the middle of a forest. The tree wasn't big, in fact much smaller than the surrounding trees, however, this wasn't the only thing setting it apart from the other trees. This tree was also slightly yellow in color as there was not one leaf on it and instead, the tree just arched downwards with fruit hanging from it.

"That's it!" Patrick pointed, as everyone looked towards the fruit.

The fruit was almost transparent as there was a light blue shine to it making it look completely desirable.  The eyes of the four of them glowed with greedy light as they focused on it.

"Wait! There has to be a catch, why is it just sitting there unbothered? Surely beasts would come to take it." Lester said with caution, realistically this was way too good to be true.

"Maybe it's just-" As Patrick was about to share his thoughts, the trees above them began to rattle as a small figure darted out of the branches towards the fruit.

"What the hell is that?" Patrick explained.

A small monkey jumped from the trees and began running towards the fruit, the monkey was dark as the only distinguishing features were the strange blonde lion maine it possessed as well as a blonde lion tail.

"A Lion Tailed Macaque!" Lester said, "Stop it from getting the fruit!" 

Lester quickly began summoning some Qi Needles, and the others began using their abilities, however, it was for naught as the little macaque was quite fast.

"Swoosh!" 
"Swoosh!"

Two needles flew out as well as hair strands from the Hair Witch who had taken off her black witch hat. Despite the quick attacks, the monkey was too agile and evaded their attacks as it jumped up and snatched the fruit away.

The small tree that once held the fruit began to decompose strangely and disappear as if it was never there before.

The macaque with fruit in hand ran into the trees as it fled, making the four humans chase it for the fruit. 

Patrick was the fastest as his golden eyes were locked on the macaque, all four of them both worried and excited about finding such a natural treasure.

An alien spacecraft crashes into Earth, exposing the world to something they never thought possible: Cultivation. As humans begin to embark on the road of cultivation with newfound powers, the world rapidly changes as heroes rise and fall in pursuit of strength.

Chapter I: Summoning 

Deep in the thickets of the forest stood a lonely cottage bathing under the silvery light of the full pearly moon. The cottage is small and bore not many decorations but it is lovely and peaceful, though it is not as grand as the extravagant houses down the village it has a homely feel to it and child-like charms making it radiate a comfortable aura. 

Inside the small home deep in the basement, where certain oddities can be found littering like humanoid hands, blinking eyeballs, petrified pixies, and many more equally grotesques specimens all contained in pickle jars, a crimson glowing circle with symbols and letters long forgotten by time lies in the middle of the room. It was crafted with perfect geometry and well-drawn glyphs that all seem to bare ominous yet omnipotent powers making the air itself vibrate with a dreadful aura, however, it is not yet complete as a petite girl knelt before it applying the vibrantly scarlet blood of beowolves she had slain on the ground to complete her pictograph. 

The girl appears to be in the bloom of her adolescence given by her average-sized bust that is still under development as well as her small stature however the elegant way with which her hips curve gave her a beautiful womanly look. The girl had gentle features that one would label as cute or even beautiful. She had a shining pair of golden eyes with the left one obscured by a blue and purple butterfly that matches well with her clothes. Her skin is milky white like the petals of a lily and just as soft while her hair is the color of the silver moonlight that curls in beautiful hoops. In contrast with her light features are the dark garments that accentuate her beauty. The girl wore a purple dress with thick golden accents and white frills. The sleeves were black and gold that blooms like a flower except for the shoulder part which is puffed and purple. Bordering the colors of her sleeves are the golden armlets with glowing sapphire stones. Two glowing blue dress tails protrude from the top part of her skirt adding to the aesthetics of her cute Gothic dress. Her perfectly serene marionette look was ruined however by the tired scowl which decorates her mien.

Ruby wipes the sweat from her brow and huffed after completing a drawing of a Cthulu symbol inside her circle. Thick black bags hang under her tired golden eyes and her face was paler than usual. Her head hurts like a battle-ax was splitting it open and her shoulders and legs are aching after prolonged hours of sitting on the ground and focusing on drawing the symbols. 

She stood from her seat to get a better view of her complete pictograph and forced her lips to produce a proud smile at a job well done. An odd creature that seems to be a hybrid of a black cat and a bat flew towards her also inspecting the work. The small creature was ill-proportioned having a head too big for its body and limbs too small to support its weight however it seems to be in perfect physiological and physical functioning. The creature nodded like a teacher approving of a mathematics problem done by an average student as of saying "it will have to do thought it could be better". Ruby ignored her familiar to wipe her hand on a dirty rag and immediately retrieved a brown leather book from a nearby table. She flipped through the decaying pages of the book until she found the page she was looking for. 

"I'm very nervous about this Manticat¹. My whole fate depends on the hero we will summon. I wish we could summon a Saber or a Lancer, boy that would really make all the difference but since we don't have many resources to get a decent relic of a real hero we can't be too picky. Can you get the relic Manticat while I start the chant?" The said creature only nodded and fluttered away. 

"I have a bad feeling about this but I can't back down now. My freedom depends on this. If I succeed in this, I'll finally have a chance at leaving this place." Ruby smiled reassuring herself. 

Manticat soon returned carrying a red gem and placed it in the middle of the circle. " Mreow, merow, meeeeeerow. " the familar said to its master. 

"Of course I'm sure of this. Now let's begin." Ruby held her palm out over the glowing circle and closed her eyes. 

"Let silver and steel be the essence. 

Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation 

Let red the color I pay tribute to 

Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall

Let the four cardinal gates close.

Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate."  Unbeknownst to the witch, the crimson gem her familiar placed in the middle of the circle started releasing vein-like violet tendrils that started crawling all over the circle like a poison slowly crawling up the nervous system and corrupting the body with only the thought of doing something sinister. 

"I hereby declare.

Your body shall serve under me.

My fate shall be your sword.

Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail 

If you will submit to this will and this reason…Then answer!" The once crimson circle turned into a foreboding violet. The symbols that Ruby inscribed started changing into different runes of a different language. Dreadful icons were added to her pictograph completely changing her work while she continued with her chant, ignorant of the changes.

"An oath shall be sworn here!

I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven. 

I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell! 

From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power,

Come forth from the ring of restraints,

Protector of the Holy Balance!" 

The ground bearing the circle released a turret of purplish-black light and the sheer force of the power sent the witch flying to the ground. Her familiar tumbled with her but she luckily caught it before it can hit the wall and attain serious damage. She groaned and looked at her work.  Her eyes widen at the displeasing result. She followed the incantation, drew the circle exactly according to the picture but this clearly isn't right. Something or someone is messing with her spell as she doesn't need logic to tell her that something is coming out of that turret. Fear gripped her heart in anticipation of what might come. Her hands are shaking and her spine feels like it wants to shot out of her back. 

The black light started to slowly fade until it completely disappeared into nothingness leaving behind someone that nearly terrified the witch to her death.  A sudden cry erupted from her lips as she felt something burning over the flesh of her chest. She looked down upon her bosom and saw an odd symbol burning a vibrant violet hue just above her breast. Her attention was snapped from her chest and back to the circle where a dark figure now stood. She saw a man, or at least a creature with the built of a young man complete with robust arms and a pretty stomach lined with incredible abs but his other qualities made the witch think otherwise. The boy seemed to be about the same age as her with a very lethally handsome sharp face that can enchant even the heartless corpses living under thousand-year-old tombs. His skin, however, is a light shade of purple removing the thought of him being human. His otherworldly characteristics are the large curving horns that protrude from his head as well as the massive dragon-like wings hanging behind his back. His appearance enchanted her but not to the point of love at first sight. He's just...

"Mystifying..." she whispered under her breath. The demon's eyes finally met her and a tingling sensation just went up her spine due to his intensely penetrating gaze.

"You look familiar." the demon trailed gazing at her with inquisitive eyes. "Like something I used to play with. Tell me, have I tortured you in hell?" 

"I, I... Who are you?" the witch managed to say as her jaw trembled due to fear. 

"I don't really remember who I was but my minions call me Dyrroth, Prince of Hell and I'm finally free from that shit hole from which I've been imprisoned for a long long time. Thank you by the way for letting me out. You can't possibly know how boring that place is only filled with chaos and nothing good to fight or eat or kill. Speaking of food I'm starving. What is that thing flying by your shoulder?! Can I eat that? Is it edible?" Dyrroth pointed towards Ruby's pet Manticat who cowered and hid under her skirt. 

"Oh no! He's my pet and he's dirty and so thin you might probably get indigestion if you eat him." The witch reasoned making the familiar babble more meows under her skirt in offense. 

"Then can I eat you?" The demon licked his lips and stared at her with curious eyes. The witch gulped and quickly answered. 

"Definitely not. But if you really want to I can prepare a meal for you upstairs." 

The demon seemed to contemplate this for a while. He stepped out of the circle and walked towards the witch whose teeth chattered in fear. He stopped just in front of her and inched his face closer towards her. Ruby closed her eyes and turned her head sideways to prevent their faces from touching. The witch stopped herself from gagging because the demon smelled repulsive. He reeks of death like thousands of tombs opened at once. Where ever he came from is certainly not hygienic. She heard him sniffing her neck before pulling away. 

"You're right I can't eat you. You smell like fruits and I'm non-vegetarian. Such a shame, you look quite appetizing." the demon mused taking a step away from her. 

"Thanks, I guess." Ruby said awkwardly. "Uhhm, do you want to come upstairs for a late dinner slash early breakfast. I think I still have beef in my freezer or are you more inclined to pork and mutton?"

"I think I would like to have beef. Richer flavor." the demon answered as he picked up a jar containing eyeballs that seem to blink curiously at him. 

"Yeah, sure. Let's come upstairs?" Ruby invited gesturing towards the door to indicate where they are going. 

"Lead the way."

She was once a Princess...

In an attempt to summon a strong familiar, Ruby, The Witch of The Dark Forest, created a spell to bring forth an other worldly entity only to end up summoning a Demon Prince with no memories of his past. She managed to convince the demon to leave however they parted after he gave her an oddly familiar kiss.

When she finally thought that her life was going back to its witchy normality, her visitor returned only to claim that he's going to reside with her due to a master-servant curse that bound them on his summoning. Ruby was forced to live with a very flirtatious demon who seemed to want to bed her so she tried finding a way to break their curse. But what if his presence only attracts trouble?

Deep in the thickets of the forest stood a lonely cottage bathing under the silvery light of the full pearly moon. The cottage is small and bore not many decorations but it is lovely and peaceful, though it is not as grand as the extravagant houses down the village it has a homely feel to it and child-like charms making it radiate a comfortable aura. 

Inside the small home deep in the basement, where certain oddities can be found littering like humanoid hands, blinking eyeballs, petrified pixies, and many more equally grotesques specimens all contained in pickle jars, a crimson glowing circle with symbols and letters long forgotten by time lies in the middle of the room. It was crafted with perfect geometry and well-drawn glyphs that all seem to bare ominous yet omnipotent powers making the air itself vibrate with a dreadful aura, however, it is not yet complete as a petite girl knelt before it applying the vibrantly scarlet blood of beowolves she had slain on the ground to complete her pictograph. 

The girl appears to be in the bloom of her adolescence given by her average-sized bust that is still under development as well as her small stature however the elegant way with which her hips curve gave her a beautiful womanly look. The girl had gentle features that one would label as cute or even beautiful. 

She had a shining pair of golden eyes with the left one obscured by a blue and purple butterfly that matches well with her clothes. Her skin is milky white like the petals of a lily and just as soft while her hair is the color of the silver moonlight that curls in beautiful hoops. 

In contrast with her light features are the dark garments that accentuate her beauty. The girl wore a purple dress with thick golden accents and white frills. The sleeves were black and gold that blooms like a flower except for the shoulder part which is puffed and purple. Bordering the colors of her sleeves are the golden armlets with glowing sapphire stones. Two glowing blue dress tails protrude from the top part of her skirt adding to the aesthetics of her cute Gothic dress. Her perfectly serene marionette look was ruined however by the tired scowl which decorates her mien.

Ruby wipes the sweat from her brow and huffed after completing a drawing of a Cthulu symbol inside her circle. Thick black bags hang under her tired golden eyes and her face was paler than usual. Her head hurts like a battle-ax was splitting it open and her shoulders and legs are aching after prolonged hours of sitting on the ground and focusing on drawing the symbols. 

She stood from her seat to get a better view of her complete pictograph and forced her lips to produce a proud smile at a job well done. An odd creature that seems to be a hybrid of a black cat and a bat flew towards her also inspecting the work. The small creature was ill-proportioned having a head too big for its body and limbs too small to support its weight however it seems to be in perfect physiological and physical functioning. 

The creature nodded like a teacher approving of a mathematics problem done by an average student as of saying "it will have to do thought it could be better". Ruby ignored her familiar to wipe her hand on a dirty rag and immediately retrieved a brown leather book from a nearby table. She flipped through the decaying pages of the book until she found the page she was looking for. 

"I'm very nervous about this Manticat¹. My whole fate depends on the hero we will summon. I wish we could summon a Saber or a Lancer, boy that would really make all the difference but since we don't have many resources to get a decent relic of a real hero we can't be too picky. Can you get the relic Manticat while I start the chant?" The said creature only nodded and fluttered away. 

"I have a bad feeling about this but I can't back down now. My freedom depends on this. If I succeed in this, I'll finally have a chance at leaving this place." Ruby smiled reassuring herself. 

Manticat soon returned carrying a red gem and placed it in the middle of the circle. " Mreow, merow, meeeeeerow. " the familar said to its master. 

"Of course I'm sure of this. Now let's begin." Ruby held her palm out over the glowing circle and closed her eyes. 

"Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill." 

"Let silver and steel be the essence. 

Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation 

Let red the color I pay tribute to 

Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall

Let the four cardinal gates close.

Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate."  Unbeknownst to the witch, the crimson gem her familiar placed in the middle of the circle started releasing vein-like violet tendrils that started crawling all over the circle like a poison slowly crawling up the nervous system and corrupting the body with only the thought of doing something sinister. 

"I hereby declare.

Your body shall serve under me.

My fate shall be your sword.

Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail 

If you will submit to this will and this reason…Then answer!" The once crimson circle turned into a foreboding violet. The symbols that Ruby inscribed started changing into different runes of a different language. Dreadful icons were added to her pictograph completely changing her work while she continued with her chant, ignorant of the changes.

"An oath shall be sworn here!

I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven. 

I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell! 

From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power,

Come forth from the ring of restraints,

Protector of the Holy Balance!" 

The ground bearing the circle released a turret of purplish-black light and the sheer force of the power sent the witch flying to the ground. Her familiar tumbled with her but she luckily caught it before it can hit the wall and attain serious damage. She groaned and looked at her work.  Her eyes widen at the displeasing result. She followed the incantation, drew the circle exactly according to the picture but this clearly isn't right. Something or someone is messing with her spell as she doesn't need logic to tell her that something is coming out of that turret. Fear gripped her heart in anticipation of what might come. Her hands are shaking and her spine feels like it wants to shot out of her back. 

The black light started to slowly fade until it completely disappeared into nothingness leaving behind someone that nearly terrified the witch to her death.  A sudden cry erupted from her lips as she felt something burning over the flesh of her chest. She looked down upon her bosom and saw an odd symbol burning a vibrant violet hue just above her breast. Her attention was snapped from her chest and back to the circle where a dark figure now stood. She saw a man, or at least a creature with the built of a young man complete with robust arms and a pretty stomach lined with incredible abs but his other qualities made the witch think otherwise. The boy seemed to be about the same age as her with a very lethally handsome sharp face that can enchant even the heartless corpses living under thousand-year-old tombs. His skin, however, is a light shade of purple removing the thought of him being human. His otherworldly characteristics are the large curving horns that protrude from his head as well as the massive dragon-like wings hanging behind his back. His appearance enchanted her but not to the point of love at first sight. He's just...

"Mystifying..." she whispered under her breath. The demon's eyes finally met her and a tingling sensation just went up her spine due to his intensely penetrating gaze.

"You look familiar." the demon trailed gazing at her with inquisitive eyes. "Like something I used to play with. Tell me, have I tortured you in hell?" 

"I, I... Who are you?" the witch managed to say as her jaw trembled due to fear. 

"I don't really remember who I was but my minions call me Dyrroth, Prince of Hell and I'm finally free from that shit hole from which I've been imprisoned for a long long time. Thank you by the way for letting me out. You can't possibly know how boring that place is only filled with chaos and nothing good to fight or eat or kill. Speaking of food I'm starving. What is that thing flying by your shoulder?! Can I eat that? Is it edible?" Dyrroth pointed towards Ruby's pet Manticat who cowered and hid under her skirt. 

"Oh no! He's my pet and he's dirty and so thin you might probably get indigestion if you eat him." The witch reasoned making the familiar babble more meows under her skirt in offense. 

"Then can I eat you?" The demon licked his lips and stared at her with curious eyes. The witch gulped and quickly answered. 

"Definitely not. But if you really want to I can prepare a meal for you upstairs." 

The demon seemed to contemplate this for a while. He stepped out of the circle and walked towards the witch whose teeth chattered in fear. He stopped just in front of her and inched his face closer towards her. Ruby closed her eyes and turned her head sideways to prevent their faces from touching. The witch stopped herself from gagging because the demon smelled repulsive. He reeks of death like thousands of tombs opened at once. Where ever he came from is certainly not hygienic. She heard him sniffing her neck before pulling away. 

"You're right I can't eat you. You smell like fruits and I'm non-vegetarian. Such a shame, you look quite appetizing." the demon mused taking a step away from her. 

"Thanks, I guess." Ruby said awkwardly. "Uhhm, do you want to come upstairs for a late dinner slash early breakfast. I think I still have beef in my freezer or are you more inclined to pork and mutton?"

"I think I would like to have beef. Richer flavor." the demon answered as he picked up a jar containing eyeballs that seem to blink curiously at him. 

"Yeah, sure. Let's come upstairs?" Ruby invited gesturing towards the door to indicate where they are going. 

"Lead the way."

She was once a Princess...

In an attempt to summon a strong familiar, Ruby, The Witch of The Dark Forest, created a spell to bring forth an other worldly entity only to end up summoning a Demon Prince with no memories of his past. She managed to convince the demon to leave however they parted after he gave her an oddly familiar kiss.


When she finally thought that her life was going back to its witchy normality, her visitor returned only to claim that he's going to reside with her due to a master-servant curse that bound them on his summoning. The meal has finally been cooked. We began eating on the floor while surrounding the bonfire that gives us light and warmth. We talk to each other as we eat.

"So, Mr. Rick, how's being a scientist? Isn't it hard?" I asked.

"Every profession is hard. No job is really easy. Being a scientist is stressing, but I love it. So stress don't matter much for me, actually." he answered.

Marlon also enters the conversation. "I finished engineering years ago. Now, I am inventing my own technological devices. Although, I haven't made any thing successful yet." he said.

While they are talking happily, I heard a strange noise nearby. I can also feel that something is watching us. My hair stands up. I don't know the reason why, but suddenly, I felt it. I look around us, and they asking me what is wrong.

"Sorry, I felt something strange down my spines." I said.

John stands up and also looks around. Then, everybody alerts themselves. Rick used his flashlight to light up the bushes and trees nearby. I take out my weapon and prepare it to fire if any threat show up. We are attentively preparing for something. Then, an old hag, clothed in black, shows up. Her laugh is creepy. I can feel her insanity and wickedness just by hearing her laugh. She then quickly runs away. I fired my gun, but I missed. We follow her, but she's crazily fast. It's insane. We're in great surprise that an old hag was able to outrun us. We failed to chase her down. And besides, I think she knows pretty well about this place. Lisa and Anna panicked. We never expect that something like that would ever show up. Even I myself can't help shaking. I mean, an old hag? I only saw something like that in fairy tales, so seeing an old hag in true life is really shocking. Even Mr. Rick cannot believe on what he had seen. He's a man of science, after all.

After that, we decided to go back to our ship. However, we cannot find the traces that we've left. The flags that Marlon had planted are all gone.

"What the---?!!!" Carl reacted.

"What now? What are we going to do? We're lost." Lisa said.

"Calm down, everyone!" John shouted, "You guys don't need to panic. We just saw an old hag! That's all. I don't think that crazy old woman will be able to harm any of us. We just have to hunt her down."

"She's a witch! Don't you know what a witch can do? Have you read anything about supernaturals?" Anna mocked.

"We don't know if she's a real witch. We don't even know if she can use magic." John said back.

"Well, she just outrun us. I don't an ordinary old woman would be able to do that even if she's familiar in this place." I said.

"You have a point. She's really weird. This place is really weird." Carl added.

"Either way, we shouldn't panic. We just have to find her witch hut or the hell where she lives in. Then, we will fry ourselves a witch." John responded.

So intead of thinking of leaving, we decided to fight. We search for the witch's living place. It's dark and dangerous. I am expecting that something worse is about to happen to us anytime, so I have to be ready and well-prepared. All I think in my mind is how I am going to accomplish my first hunt of a witch. This is should be interesting, but there is fear inside my heart and I can't help myself to stop that. We've reached a place where we found a cave. Rick warned us that caves are usually the place where wild beasts live. But we have our weapons; we can take it down. With all my courage and bravery, I entered the cave with my groupmates. I turned on my own flashlight. We've saw various carvings and drawings inside the cave. There are also unknown writings and symbols. I am looking at the symbols and try to find out what it means. I ask myself, "Why did they draw a skull with a torch in it?" It is creepy.

Then, while I am gazing on the symbols, I heard a cry from above me. It is the old hag. I scream as I saw her clinging on top of the ceiling above me. She shows her long, creepy tongue. She then growls like an animal. Then, she jumps towards me, but I dodged her. I fired my gun to her; her leg bleeds after I hit it. John and the others came to rescue me. The old hag is helpless. We help each other in tying her up using the ropes. Afterwards, I still prepare myself if another witch like her ever appear. John tries to talk to her.

"Who are you? What are you?" he asked in a loud voice.

But the old hag cannot understand him. She is angry, really mad. She began speaking in an unknown language in which we cannot understand. Her eyes bleed, and she shows her fangs in front of us. Lisa and Anna scream. I'm a little bit afraid, too. I did not even think of this as true. Maybe I am just dreaming, and I just need to wake up to reality. I knock on my head, but this is real. This is really happening. That old hag over there, she really is alive. I alert myself. I decided to listen to what John and the others are saying.

Then, after a while, the old hag laughs manically. Her laugh is really creepy. She laughs like an insane person in an asylum. I want to shoot her right here and now to stop her from laughing. Carl and Marlon gun at her repeatedly. She falls down on the ground, and die.

At that point in time, I thought everything's finally okay, but I am wrong. A strange black figure came out from darkness and suddenly appear in front of us. Its claws tear the arm of Carl; he bleeds. I quickly fire my gun to the demonic figure. Its eyes glow in red as it looks at me. John throws the torch to the demon, but it just blows it away. I rushed on to Carl to help him escape. I put his arm on to my shoulders and carry him. Rick used his electrifier gun to attack the demon. It affects it, but did not kill it. He just angered the demon. It quickly rushes towards him and tears his body apart. Lisa and Anna panicked. John and Marlon cannot help Rick anymore. All we can do is escape from the demon, but I doubt that. I can't think properly. I can't even feel my feet anymore. It is just moving on its own.

"Oh my God! Rick died! Huhuhu!" Lisa cried.

We run as fast as we can to escape the demon. However, it chased us. Marlon decided to sacrifice himself. "Go guys! Escape! Get away from here! I will give you, at least, seconds to give you time to escape!" he said.

We all cried. "No!" I shouted at him. Marlon fights the demon with all his courage. Like Rick, it torn him apart. I can see it savagely reaping Marlon's body from afar. Then, an unknown man appeared in front of us. We're afraid, because who knows? He might be one of the crazy bitches in this island.

"Can you guys understand me?" he asked.

I nodded. "Who are you?"

"I will tell you. Follow me!" then he runs quickly.

We have no other choice but to follow that man whom we do not even know. Fortunately, we managed to escape from the demon. The man took us to an underground chamber. There are torches around that light up the entire chamber. I opened my bag and get my first-aid kit to heal Carl's bleeding arm.

"Are you fine now, Carl?" I asked.

He exhales deeply and answers, "Thank you." His face is turning pale. John talks to the man and asks him about his identity.

"I am Richard." he answered.

A woman shows up and meets with them.

"She is my wife, Sisanna." he added.

"How did you guys get here?" John asked.

"We don't know. It's just that, we suddenly came in here. You guys should know that this island is inhabited by a demon."

"A demon? That black demonic figure?"

"Yes. It is the demon. You guys are wondering why not a single of crawling animal is alive in here?"

I entered the conversation and answered, "Yes. Why?"

"It's because that demon ate them all. The tribe who were living in here has nothing to sacrifice anymore, so the demons also ate them."

"So that's why. A while ago, we killed an old hag. Was she one of those tribe people?"

"I don't know. Maybe? It is possible. That old hag might had sacrificed her soul to keep herself alive."

"Thank you for saving us. Two of our friends were killed." John said.

"Don't mention it. It's good to have new companies here. We only get out at day. The demon is lurking in the cave at that time, then at night time, it roams around for a kill." Richard responded.

Sisanna gets a medical herb to help aid Carl's arm. She said that it's truly effective. It was made from the plants that can only be found in here. While me, I can finally rest down for a bit. I closed my eyes, and I sleep.

A group of adventurers dared to set foot to an unknown island. In first glance, it is heavenly. But little do they know, the island is the home of a sadistic and savage demon. Now, they are the one being hunted. I'm telling you right here and now. This story is bloody and brutal.
