Dageer stood aiming his NT-242 at the spot Aurra Sing was for about four minutes. Then, he confirmed what his instincts had been telling him. She wasn't there.

He threw the NT-242 away, and grabbed the blaster pistol that the bounty hunter he just killed had.

"She is gone, Thire! We need to go after her!"

"But, sir... your leg!"

Dageer drew in a long breath when he felt the pain on his leg. The vibroblade had stabbed deep, although it missed the vital veins and arteries.

"I can deal with it. Commander Thorn! Sing is running! We are going to the nearest exit!"

"Bossk also ran. I received a report that a clone was found dead on exit JL-3. You are closer, go there! Sergeant Hound!"

"Yes, commander?"

"You are also close. Grizzer could be of help."

"I'm on my way, commander."

Dageer was about to go down the stairs - it would be quicker than taking the lift - when he saw the vibroblade embedded into the Aki-Aki's chest. On a whim, he pulled it out, and took it with him.

Dageer and Thire arrived at the exit quickly, but aside from the dozens of civilians, they saw no one. Thire bent over and checked the dead trooper, and shook his head. There was nothing they could do. The lieutenant picked up the WESTAR-M5 that the dead clone had, and threw it to Dageer.

The sub-commander accepted it, and gladly threw the pistol away. He felt much more comfortable with a real blaster in hands.

It was, however, useless, since they had no clue to where Sing escaped. Dageer looked at the wounds that the Coruscant Guard member suffered. He wasn't killed with a blaster. And there was something familiar about his injuries...

"Grrrr..."

"Sir!"

Dageer turned around, and saw Hound running towards him, followed closely by his massiff, Grizzer, and six other clones. He noticed that there were more massiffs than clones, and he could imagine what happened to their owners.

"Hound! Can you find to which direction they went?"

"I can't, sir, but Grizzer can. Come on, boy. Find. Find. Find. Find."

The massiff sniffed around for a few seconds while Hound gently stroked it's back. Then, suddenly, the animal stopped, and looked directly north.

"He found it! Now, Grizzer... Go!"

And the massiff took off running.

On a dark alleyway, four people were quickly conferring together. Well, the truth was that one of them, a woman, was giving orders while the three men listened carefully.

"We will separate here. In two weeks, meet up in Dantooine. You will receive the rest of the credits there."

Bossk and Castas nodded. Aurra Sing was a deadly, treacherous and cruel bounty hunter, but even she knew she couldn't betray her partners so easily. If she did so, right after they rescued her, on top of that, she would lose all of her prestige as a bounty hunter.

But the new guy they hired on their crew, Hiigi, a huge mon calamari who never talked, had a different opinion.

When Sing was trying to leave the alleyway, Hiigi punched the wall near her, blocking her path. Dust and small debris fell off the wall, and web-like cracks started spreading on where he punched. After training under Count Dooku, Hiigi might not have gained Force powers, but he became much stronger.

Bossk hissed, and Castas backed away with small hints of fear on his face. They had already seen what Hiigi could do with his vibro-trident, and they both knew they weren't good enough to fight him, at least not in such a closed space.

Sing, on the other hand, just frowned. Hiigi didn't speak a word, but he gave her a dangerous sensation, one she only felt when she was hunting Jedis.

"Hiigi. I don't know why you became a bounty hunter, or why you came to me. But if you want to be part of my crew, you will follow my orders. Now, step aside."

Hiigi faced her angrily, and didn't move. Sing looked him right in the eyes, and both saw murderous intent. Bounty hunters always had problems like this when discussing payments and rewards. It wasn't the first time Sing decided to kill a fellow bounty hunter, and it wouldn't be the last.

She wiped her leg, hitting Hiigi on his ribs, but the mon calamari didn't even budge. He used his big hands to grab her leg, and lifted her before smashing the bounty hunter on the ground.

Sing wasn't to be outdone, however. She might be physically weaker compared to Hiigi, but she was much nimbler. She wrapped her other leg around Hiigi's torso, and pulled out a blaster pistol. A round was fired at point-blank, and Hiigi released her, while at the same time, pulling out his vibro-trident. Blood was trickling down from a wound on his arm.

Bossk and Castas were nowhere to be seen. Whatever problem Hiigi had with Sing's payment method, it was not their's to worry about. And such a commotion would attract the authorities, even more considering that it was close to the docking zone, where a huge battle just happened.

Their cautiousness paid off, because moments later nine clones arrived, one of them limping. The massiffs started to surround the two bounty hunters, who had now stopped fighting, and were eyeing the clones carefully. The gigantic mon calamari was holding his vibro-trident, and Sing had two identical pistols.

"Hiigi? Sing."

Dageer looked surprised at the mon calamari. The last time he saw him, Hiigi had killed dozens of clones, but all of his men died, leaving him alone. He didn't expect to meet him ever again. And Sing was his target. Meeting both of them at the same time might be a headache, but it would give him the chance to take out two dangerous criminals at once.

"You... you are the clone who captured me. Your armor is different."

Hiigi said nothing, but Dageer didn't know he couldn't talk. To him, Hiigi was just being tough. 

"Put down your weapons and come with us quietly."

"That is not happening, sweetheart. I can't wait to destroy that new armor of yours."

Dageer grinned.

"I was kind of hoping you would say that."

Ten seconds went by with both sides facing each other without moving. And then Dageer saw Grizzer tensing up behind Sing, preparing to jump.

The moment the massiff moved, Dageer pushed Hound to the side, just in time to save the sergeant from two lasers shot by Sing. Grizzer jumped on Sing's back, while two other massiffs bit her legs, dragging her down. Ironically, it was this that saved her from the volley of blue lasers that the clones fired.

Hiigi, on the other hand, didn't dodge the lasers, but blocked them. Using a spinning movement that looked remarkably similar to the Jedis', all the lasers were absorbed by the vibro-trident.

Hiigi advanced, and kicked Dageer on the stomach. The clone flew back two or three meters, hitting another clone, and knocking him on the ground.

While Sing was trying to free herself from the massiffs, Hiigi slashed his vibro-trident, cutting the throat of a clone. A massiff, presumably his, cried in sadness, and jumped on Hiigi, but the mon calamari impaled it on his weapon.

Then, Hiigi used the blunt side of his weapon to smash a clone in the face. Dageer tried to get up, but Hiigi saw, and moved towards him. He grabbed another clone by the throat, and threw him over Dageer. Just when the mon calamari was about to stab both of them, a green glow passed by, and blocked his vibro-trident.

I had a sudden moment of inspiration, and decided to write it down.
I am not doing this to became an author and I might stop at any time.
Anyway I am very grateful to anyone who reads and gives his or her support. Also, I do accept suggestions.

PS2: There will be no harem or romance whatsoever, essentially because it would be too different from the lore, and also because I don't like it very much.

PS4: The first chapters are small, but it gets bigger as the novel go on. As such, the first chapters are in a process of revision to make them more adequate to the rest of the novel. However, the novel doesn't stop because of this.

About the story now. 

Clone trooper CT-4063 is a fresh and shiny trooper directly from the clone facilities in Kamino. 
He is also one of the thousands of clones that take part on the first battle of the Clone Wars.
Go with him as he carves his path to the high comand.

Ye Han opened his shop like the usual, and the first customer today was Kobayashi with her newly hired maid. He smiled as he said 

"Welcome to Panda's cooking, what would you like to eat?"
"Umn, Panda?"
Tohru tilted her head as she thought Ye Han was a magical panda who was using magic to turn himself into a human. She tried to use magic with her eyes but she could only see that Ye Han was a human, Kobayashi was busy thinking of whether she should try the Fried Calamari or the Takoyaki. In the end she picked Calamari as she rarely tried Italian cuisine, Tohru picked Takoyaki as she had tried fried squid before but not the chewy Takoyaki. While they were waiting for their meal, Tohru kept looking at Ye Han as she could feel the her instinct was telling her that this dude was a dragon. Kobayashi just looks at Tohru and said 

"Tohru?"
"Ah, Miss Kobayashi! When will you eat my cooking?!" -*Crying Tohru*
"I will eat your food, when it is not your tail!"
"Tsk...*muttering* what's so delicious with this restaurant than my tail?"
Ye Han eyebrow twitches as he heard her whisper, he immediately finished his cooking and serve them his cooking. He continue to serve other people as Tohru took a big bite of the takoyaki, she felt that her surrounding became happy as the color became bright colored. The cute squid reaches out to her and let her follow their line of dance, Tohru's eyes brighten as she found a new things to improve while serving her wonderful master. Kobayashi was enjoying the fried calamari with mayonnaise sauce, it was perfection at its finest.

Ye Han closed the shop when the time turned 10 am, he heard some fighting going on in the nearby school. He thought of checking things out like the cat that been killed by curiosity. and his previous thought was correct, the wild beast smell was getting stronger as he walks toward the school sports field. He saw the red ogre he was trying to avoid, never the less he was curious if the newly improve Baki can last for a few second or immediately be unconscious after a single hit from his beastly dad.

Baki was super pissed as he could see his partner's head in a box, it made him remember the moments he was in the jungle. That giant ape was his friend and his dad beheaded it and fed it to the crows in front of him. Baki charges at him without a plan while Yujiro grinned as he could smell the dangerous scent at Baki, he used his fist and punch it toward Baki's fist. Baki was weaker as the moment his fist collided with Yujiro's fist, he flew away. His right hand was broken as he tried to gets back up, Baki charges at him angrily but Yujiro knew that the scent didn't came from his son either. He slaps Baki in the cheek which made the poor child fly away again, Baki didn't manage to stay conscious this time as his eyes blurred out. 

Yujiro then turned around and left the school, he didn't notice Ye Han shaking his head as he thought of Yujiro as a incompetent father. But he can't give them his opinion as this is their shitty hanma way of how to raise children, He left the school and drove his car to the university that his daughters enrolled to. He already checked their schedule which had an hour lunch break, he could see that the three became somewhat the flower goddess at school. Ye Han waived his hand which made his daughters walks toward him, some of the students whispered 

"Who's that hottie?" - random female student
"Is it their boyfriend?" - random male student
But they immediately shut their mouth as they heard 
"Papa!" -Lili
"Dad!" -Haruhime
"Where are we going to eat?" -Ais
All of the students who was at the scene only thought "That hot guy was their father?!". Ye Han just happily received Lili and Haruhime's hug while Ais was a bit shy hugging his father outside so she controlled herself and just ask about their lunch. Ye Han knew that she was shy so he gave her a head pat and said 

"We are going to eat at a french restaurant newly opened close by. Lets go!"
Ye Han led them to the car and drove toward the first opening of the restaurant called Shino's Tokyo , he thought that the restaurant was a bit familiar but Ye Han couldn't remember which anime it was from. When they arrived at the place, the lady butler politely said 

"Welcome to Shino's Tokyo, How many are there?"
"4 people..."
"Ah, Right this way~"
Gao Wei was very nervous as this is the first time she saw someone so hot that it was her type, but her imagination easily broke as she heard Ye Han's daughter saying

"Dad, what do you think they serve here?"
"Hmn, probably some high class meal like Beef bourguignon, Chocolate soufflé  and etc.."
The girls was already drooling a bit when they heard they have dessert in this restaurant, Gao led them to their seat and gave them a menu. She professionally did her job while she whined mentally "Why god?! Why?! Why are you so cruel that this handsome hottie is already a dad?!". Ye Han ordered a Ratatouille as he was curious how it would taste when a french chef cooks it, while his daughters ordered Nicoise salad, Cassoulet and a lot of the dessert such as apple tarts. Gao Wei wondered if they could eat it all, she didn't doubt them of not being able to pay as the family look so elegant like high end royalty. She politely said before giving the list of order to the kitchen area.

"Your meal will be served after 15 minutes...."

He Zhichu sneered but didn't speak again. Gu Nianzhi pursed her lips and rubbed between her brows to alleviate her mounting headache. She decided to not get involved. Biting her bottom lip, she gently tapped her phone to send out another text to the official account of Tan Dongbang's Office of the Prime Minister urging them to delete the post.
Ma Qiqi regarded He Zhichu with curiosity then looked at Huo Shaoheng like she was understanding something. Just as she was about to speak, a large hand suddenly came over to muffle her mouth. "Who?!" Ma Qiqi turned around and glared viciously. However, she discovered Yin Shixiong looking at her with a smile. Of course, he was still muffling her mouth. Ma Qiqi's anger quickly dissolved into nothing, like ice and snow under the sun. With a red flush on her cheeks, she looked at Yin Shixiong and gestured for him to move his hand away. Yin Shixiong chuckled before letting go. Suddenly, a phone rang inside the game room.
"Qiqi, it's time for dinner." It was Ma Qiqi's mom calling her.
Ma Qiqi seemed to come to her senses and jumped up to grab Gu Nianzhi. "Great! We can finally eat now. Nianzhi come here. You're the birthday girl today, and everything was prepared especially for you. We're just your escorts!"
Yin Shixiong folded his hands behind his back and couldn't help thinking about the sensation of Ma Qiqi's lips against his palm. This girl appeared loud and chatty, yet had a very soft pair of lips… Yin Shixiong suddenly felt his thoughts straying a bit.

Ma Qiqi took the guests from the game room downstairs to the dining room on the main floor. A large round table was in the dining room. It had a large Lazy Susan in the middle, much like the ones in restaurants. The table was already laden with delicacies made by Ma Qiqi's parents. In the middle was an ancient style clay pot holding lotus root braised with spareribs, which had been cooking the entire afternoon. This was the dish Gu Nianzhi always ordered in Hubei restaurants. Near the clay pot was a plate of shredded pork fried with peppers. Bright green pepper strips, coriander, and dried red chilies were fried together, and the pork was coated so that it was still tender and soft once removed from the pan. It simply melted in the mouth.
In the clockwise direction of the Lazy Susan, the table also laden with a plate of glutinous rice balls, fish smelling leaf with head cheese cold salad, a bowl of dark red sugar glazed braised pork, as well as pale garlic and vermicelli stuffed oysters, salt and pepper shrimp, and a bowl of mapo tofu that made one want to sneeze at the first smell. They must have used authentic green pepper. "Thank you, auntie." Gu Nianzhi nodded gratefully. Ma Qiqi's mother had Gu Nianzhi sit beside her, and next to her was Ma Qiqi and then her father. Huo Shaoheng sat next to Ma Qiqi's mom and was only one seat away from Gu Nianzhi. He Zhichu didn't want to sit too close to Huo Shaoheng, but if he didn't sit by Huo Shaoheng, he would be even farther away from Gu Nianzhi. As he was hesitating, Huo Shaoheng had already dragged Yin Shixiong to the seat next to his. He Zhichu could only sit between Yin Shixiong and Ma Qiqi's dad. This spot just so happened to be right across from Gu Nianzhi, so He Zhichu smiled instead and nodded to Gu Nianzhi before sitting down.

"Here, you eat some more. Why are you so skinny? You must not eat enough everyday. Are you a picky eater?" Ma Qiqi's mom spoke quietly to Gu Nianzhi as she served her food. "You can't just have meat. Eat some vegetables, too." She was a very gentle middle-aged woman, and Ma Qiqi's personality was completely different from hers, so she must've gotten it from her dad.
Gu Nianzhi had never been cared for by an older woman like that, so it felt like someone plucking at her heartstrings. Every time Ma Qiqi's mom spoke gently to Gu Nianzhi, her heart swelled. "Ok, thank you, auntie. I'll eat it." Gu Nianzhi ate every single thing Ma Qiqi's mom served her, and she even swallowed her most detested onion and calamari without hesitation. Although it made her a bit sick, she didn't refuse because she was too greedy for the warm and intimate feeling from Ma Qiqi's mom.
In terms of caring about her, Huo Shaoheng, Yin Shixiong, and Zhao Liangze, as well as He Zhichu, were people who were much more concerned about her than Auntie Ma, whom she had just met. But Gu Nianzhi thought that Auntie Ma's care was a different kind from Huo Shaoheng and his men's. It was like there was a spot in the bottom of her heart that she didn't even know was missing something, but Auntie Ma's care had discreetly staked a flag there to let her know that there was a deficiency. He took it out to look at and also stood up. "I'm going to take a call." The two men went out to the large tree in the backyard one after another. Huo Shaoheng held a cigarette, and it flickered as a tiny red light within the darkness.
He Zhichu walked over and said dryly, "Mr. Huo was looking for me. What can I do for you?"
Huo Shaoheng inhaled from the cigarette and flicked away the ash before finally saying, "He Zhichu, just tell me straight. What do you want in order to help Nianzhi find her parents?"
He Zhichu was momentarily speechless. Looking away, his shimmery, sultry eyes flashed briefly under the dark sky. "I don't understand what you're talking about."
"You've been plotting all this time and began looking for Nianzhi seven years ago. It wasn't until last year that you finally got news of her and suddenly came to our nation from the United States." Huo Shaoheng methodically laid out the cards for He Zhichu. "He Zhichu, I believe you wouldn't hurt Nianzhi and believe that you came here to find her. But you've found her now, so why didn't you ever mention anything about bringing her home? What about her parents? Are they still alive?"
"What are you trying to say?" He Zhichi frowned, appearing puzzled.
"You saw it just now as well. You should understand what Nianzhi longs for. She's been with us for seven years, and although she lost her memory, she's never mentioned her parents even once. A 12-year-old child must know what the word 'parents' means, even if she lost her memory." Huo Shaoheng continued urging He Zhcihu in hopes he would help Nianzhi.
After some time, He Zhichu finally responded icily, "Gu Xiangwen is her father, so what's wrong with that?"
"What's wrong with that?!" Huo Shaoheng threw away the cigarette in his hand and growled quietly, "Don't you tell me that you weren't aware that the comatose Gu Xiangwen isn't her biological father!"


Gu Nianzhi had no idea how to get the aloof and handsome Major General to fall in love with her.

Although it was a weekday and not as busy as a weekend, finding a parking spot was still a challenge. Jin Liwei had to drive around the area several times before they were able to find a spot on the roadside. 

Iris was so excited that she almost jumped out of the car as soon as they parked. Fortunately, Jin Liwei was quicker and was able to stop her.

Colourful and vibrant food stalls were crammed together selling various food products. Vendors frequently yelled out, trying to attract customers to their stalls. Smoke was everywhere and different smells mixed in the air.

Iris pulled Jin Liwei all over the place, curious at everything. She knew that Dom, the glutton, frequented street food markets during his days off. She had always been interested but never really had the chance to go until today.

Jin Liwei held her hand firmly to make sure that he wouldn't lose her in this crowded place. On the outside, he had his usual cold and indifferent expression. Inside, however, he had the urge to vomit seeing some of the things being sold. 

He was about to suggest for them to go to the French restaurant after all but stopped himself upon seeing his baby girl's enthusiasm. He could only sigh and let himself be pulled along by her.

For lunch, he made safe choices like barbequed chicken and duck chops with noodles. On the other hand, his baby girl was more…er, adventurous. Skewered scorpions, black spiders, water beetles, and silkworm chrysalis were on her paper plate alongside the more palatable fried rice and calamari.

Holding one side of her mask to have enough space to eat, she took small bites of each of her "adventurous" choices before grimacing in disgust. Then she would offer them all to him.

It took him a lot of effort not to visibly cringe. He forced out a smile and took the skewers from her before placing them on the edge of his plate. He had no intention of trying them whatsoever. He tried ignoring that part of his plate but too late. His appetite was already gone. Giving up on eating, he just sat back to admire his baby girl enjoying her fried rice and calamari.

Finally, they left the market. He felt so relieved. This wasn't how he imagined their romantic lunch date would be, but what was done was done.

Once inside the car, their clothes stank of smoke. He activated the air freshener and hurriedly drove away from the place.

Next on his date plan was to watch a romantic movie at the cinema. He drove to an upscale mall. Parking was no problem this time.

The line-up at the box office wasn't long, so they took their time to choose which movie to watch. Of course, Jin Liwei already checked which romance movies were currently showing beforehand.

Jin Liwei: "How about we watch 'A Love Across Time'?"

Iris: "Hmm…"

Jin Liwei: "Or maybe 'Never Let You Go'?"

She frowned.

Jin Liwei: "I heard 'Where the Heart Lies' is getting rave reviews from critics. Would you like to watch it?"

"No. I want to watch that." She pointed at a movie poster.

The title read "The Hit List", a gangster movie.

Iris: "Can we?"

How could he reject her when she was looking at him with those beautiful eyes? He immediately bought tickets, then lined up again for a bag of popcorn and a big bottle of room temperature water. Although he preferred chilled drinks, his baby girl avoided them because she was a singer. But still he bought only one big bottle because he wanted the two of them to share.

When they entered the auditorium, there were only about twenty people in addition to the two of them. Most were males. There were only three females watching including Iris.

Iris and Jin Liwei chose seats at the very back. The movie started after a few minutes. Jin Liwei wasn't paying attention to the movie at all. This kind of gangster movies didn't interest him, unless they were rare classic masterpieces. Instead, his eyes were directed at his baby girl's expression for the entire duration of the movie.

She took off her mask and sunglasses since nobody was paying attention to them anyway in this dark place.

Her expressions and reactions while watching the movie were amusing, especially her mumbled comments.

"Who shoots a gun like that? So stupid. And he's supposed to be a trained assassin?"

"This brawl looks too choreographed. Ill-choreographed at that. Very unrealistic."

"Hmph. What kind of criminal organization is this? They're all filled with stupid, brainless idiots. Disgraceful!"

Initially, he was already prepared to endure two boring hours sitting here but surprisingly, he felt entertained. The movie was boring as expected, but watching his baby girl's contempt for it was entertainment in itself. She was so cute! He smiled in amusement, popping popcorn into his mouth now and then. His eyes never stopped looking at her the whole time.

After the movie, Iris continued to grumble about the movie's stupidity. Jin Liwei had no idea what happened in the movie but he nodded and agreed at everything she said. 

There was absolutely zero romance in the movie. This wasn't how he imagined their romantic movie date would be, but what was done was done.

Next activity on his romantic date plan was to go shopping together. Although he knew that she could buy whatever she wanted with her own money, he still wanted to buy things for her. He also wanted for them to buy more matching outfits or any other matching things, especially now that they were living together.

Walking inside the mall, they heard her songs from her album "Rebirth" being played at various shops. He felt very proud of her, wanting to shout out to everyone that she was his. 

His good mood, however, was short-lived. Most of the men they passed by would ogle his baby girl's body. He put his arm around her shoulders to pull her closer to him while scowling and glaring at the lecherous men. 

How dare they look at his woman with their dirty eyes?! He felt the strongest urge to gouge their eyes out.

Similarly beside him, Iris' mood was also taking a dive. Her expression was hidden by her face mask and big sunglasses but her eyes were shooting daggers at the females ogling her man. She placed her arm around his waist, staking her claim.

The temperature around this gorgeous couple was like that of frozen hell. People subconsciously gave them a wide berth to avoid the threatening aura surrounding the couple. Even so, the people couldn't take their eyes off of them because they looked so beautiful together. Even though they couldn't see what the girlfriend looked like, they knew that she must be gorgeous.

The lechers needed some good thrashing, Jin Liwei thought, but he had a more important mission for today which was to have a romantic date with his baby girl. So far, they weren't able to accomplish anything according to his plan but he refused to give up.

Of course, he researched which shops sold matching outfits for couples beforehand. He was about to suggest going into one of the shops when…

"Oh, a pet store!" Iris exclaimed. "Liwei, let's go buy some stuff for Ice Cream and Popcorn."

Rayyan drove his car fast, after 45minutes they arrived at the restaurant near the hotel that they stay last night. When both Deandra and Rayyan enter the restaurant from far they see Ezwan, Hanni, Herni and Iyka already there. In front of them, bunch of foods is served. Butter prawns, fried chicken, steam fish with lemon, fried vegetable with calamari, fried squid, clam cooks with spicy chilies, and for drink the just order watermelon juice in jug so everyone can share it.

After do some simple pray they start to digging the food, as for Deandra and Rayyan they simply just eat the butter prawn as they already eat at McDonald.

After finish with their lunch all of they parted and promise to meet each other at Deandra residence. Deandra offer to drive Rayyan car as Rayyan face show that he got lack of sleep. "I couldn't sleep. I was so excited. It's been a long time since my last swim. Pool is noce but I still prefer the beach." his eyes were still closed.

"We still have time so take a nap. You'll have to drive later." I patted his head and then checked the stuffs on the table in case he forgot something. Wow there's his ever favortie fried chicken, rice and what's this? Oh its Calamari. I checkee first if his eyes are closed then I took one and ate it fast. It tastes good. It won't hurt if I took another one.

"Sachie there's a garlic mayo dip there." he chuckled. I pouted at him. "Just go to sleep!" I retorted and took three more. He can start his own cart soon if he would consider him. I bey a lot of girls would go on his cart. I stopped munching and shook my head. Cart business will be a big 'X'. I laughed a little which made him look at me.

"Why are you laughing? Does it taste bad?"

"Nothing. Go to sleep!"

"Okay... Okay..." he shifted into a sleeping position and placed his forearm above his eyes.

Well let me go back to checking. Looks like we will be doing some grilling. There's fish and pork. He even prepared the soy sauce, onion, garlic, tomato well it seems like everything is complete. Even Kenji's stuff are all there. I yawned and then my eyes felt heavy which made me took a nap on the table.

I woke up to some small taps on my head. When I lifted my head I saw my favorite boy in the world smiling at me. "We didn't want to wake you up but Kenji wants to go to you." Mihaela handed me the baby.

"How are you my love? Ready to swim?" he cooed and giggled. Reeve has dressed him in a white shirt and blue shorts together with his blue slippers. My baby is so cute. I hugged him tightly and I wanted to squeeze him so bad.

"I will go prepare now." Mihaela stood up with the towel already on her shoulder. Kenji is now grabbing my hand and wants to eat it. The baby is hungry.

"Here", Reeve handed me the bottle and it's still warm like it's newly prepared. He smiled at me and took all the things bringing it onto his car. I looked at him and Kenji back and forth. Somebody's on a matchy matchy outfit. He's really excited about this swim.

So I have to wear my old navy colored blue shorts to match with them. It's a little short but not like too short for my butt to show so I guess its fine. Once my cousin was done she took the baby from me which is still full of energy.

By the time I finished, Reeve is done pumping the floaters too as well as some swim rings too. I was like when did he bought all of this?

Mihaela encircled her arms around mine and then excitedly pulled me towards the door. She's such a kid really. No wonder my aunt still treats her as one.

We rode the SUV and Mihaela sat with Kenji on the back while on his baby seat. Reeve told me that he wants to go the resort with hot springs too and even rented a native room for all of us.

He showed me everything through his phone while he is focusing on driving. Good thing that we decided to leave early before the rush hour.

I was scanning the photos of the resort when I accidentally saw a photo of two little kids im matching outfit. One was a little taller than the other while the other was shorter and chubby. They both have the same blue eyes but their hair colors are different. I'm sure the other one was Reeve but who was the other one? Have I seen him before? Was it that guy? His cousin? What was his name again? But on the other hand it feels like its a different person here. Well maybe they sure do all lookalike since they were related by blood. Guess blue eyes runs in the blood. I don't want to ruin his mood so I closed the gallery and I was surprised with his wallpaper. It's the three of us at the beach during my company training few months ago. Actually he has this habit of just leaving his phone anywhere within my reach but its just that I respect his privacy and its not in my nature to touch someone else's belongings. I smiled and then returned his phone in the car seat pocket.

My cousin fell asleep as well as Kenji. Reeve yawned several times and me? I have to keep watch don't want to let him feel alone and to prevent him from falling asleep. 

After a few hours of driving finally we have arrived.

It was still Summertime here, folks and the winds tend to get a bit chilly sometimes as its nearing Autumn already and the sun would be elusive most times between the thick overcast. 

The green lush leaves in the orchard and also the forest had also turned slightly yellowish around the edges and borders and this signifies that Autumn would be here pretty soon.

When the cold winds start to strike, it would be another season of whiteness that covers the whole area. Animals would go into hibernation and only those super wild beasts such as the last mutated armadillo in the past 2 winters might appear.

It's not that I wished it to appear but then there hadn't been too much excitement around here, don't you think? We had the wild beast rampage, the Faceless visit and also the Wicca encampment. 

Other than that, maybe it was being chased off by the scouts or maybe there weren't any other intended people who wish to invade us at all. Hahaha.

We had 250 crop fields operating within our main cluster, another 250 crop fields on our westernmost second cluster. There are another 250 crop fields on the 3 unmentioned sides that would be worked on later on when we have the residents flowing in.

With 500 crop fields generating bumper crops throughout the seasons, we were able to garner up to an estimated grand weight of 450,000 pounds in harvested grains and such and another estimated 30,000 - 50,000 pounds of more than 15 types of vegetables.

The grains, as suggested by the farmers were rotated to wheat, then soybeans, barley and corn and back to wheat once again so the diet of the residents and citizens would vary.

Using Priestess Penelope for creating the bumper crops really helped the residents and citizens alike. Both grains and vegetables were at 2 coppers per pound. 

Which town could beat our price...!

When we were lost in our individual train of thoughts, a familiar voice boomed and greeted us. I looked up from the settee and found that our old dear friend Marcel had come back from his gallivanting with the mermaids in Flamborough. Hahaha. 

"Oi... Its been so long since you had been gone. You really had so much fun that you had forgotten how to get back here, don't you?" 

"So, how was your trip and thank you for all the supplies you had constantly gotten us for the wet Market section in the grocery store. Fortunately, Strongbow is there to guide the community on how to prepare the seafood into dishes." 

"How would we be able to recognise all those weird looking seafood that was brought in from the shores of the East Coast...!"

I was speaking so fast that it sounded like 'ratatatatatat' and Marcel was soon riddled with a lot of holes from all the questions that I shot at him. Hahaha.

Marcel looked at me and then he began to laugh hysterically since he thought he won't be missed by anyone as he knew I was too busy to notice anything. 

Even when he left town on the last trip, he did not inform anyone in particular except to Eagle as he was assigned with 2 escorts and had slinked off quietly in the night to make his getaway. 

Besides, he had to pass by Corral and make some business visitations to ensure that his relative had not been squirrelling away gold and silvers when he was one. To Marcel, business is business, blood and relative or any relations do not mix.

After he settled down at the settee area, a tray came with some Crispy flatbread, grilled calamari, some deep-fried battered buffalo wings, chicken heads and stomachs on skewers.

The tray had legs at the sides and it could be placed on the lap while sitting down at the settee. It was the kind of serving trays that the hospital had been amusing for the patients during meal times and somehow Marcel had got his hands and used them personally...!

Well, at least its more convenient to eat and also able to bring it around with him wherever he goes, innit?

"It's been hectic my friend, the Great Slump had already hit most of the areas around here and we are affected by it, I mean to merchants like us, externally."

"I will elaborate to you earlier in detail as this would affect the Treasury and also the way our gold, silver and coppers move right now. I was dumbfounded when Marcel mentioned about our treasury being depreciating and had no preparation on these at all. Besides we had lots of gold coins and silvers inside our treasury and all this was contributed by the sales made with Richard Rich, the Sheriff of London.

Heather, who was present at the settee had spoken up like, "WHHHAAATTT...?!" as she too was surprised at this shocking news that was brought by Marcel.

"Yeah, that's right. Depreciate due to the new conversion and exchange. Although it was in place some time back, they wanted to ensure the economy could get stronger but then, it didn't." 

"So, right now, our gold coins are not called gold coins anymore, silvers ain't silvers anymore and lastly coppers weren't called coppers anymore. Even the coppers were being divided into halves and quarters."

"WHHHAAATTT? Our coppers are being divided into halves and quarters. So how do we reimburse the residents and citizens and how are the internal trade would be done in the future?"

I was ready for this Great Crunch or the Great Slump that had been around about 10 years ago as it inches closer to us. Finally, after it had conquered the trade, then the farmlands and crops and now had successfully entered the gold bullions and the Treasury.

I didn't know how the deprecation would be affecting us as Heather hands me the accounts for the main Treasury that had been maintained for all the incoming and outgoing expenses of our town.

One look at the accounting journal gave me the assurance that our finances were high on the green mark, however, we would also be calculated based on the new currency rate that Marcel had mentioned.

"Alright, my dear friend. Come on, tell us what is the new currency was like and has it been confirmed by the Keeper of the King's Jewels and Treasurer of the Chamber?"

"It had been confirmed and all our conglomerates were affected by it. That's why in the first place, we had to gather up all the gold and silver first as suggested by the Marchioness and Marquees before."

"If we choose to ignore their advice, I guess our town and its treasury would collapse."

Marcel reminded us of the advice and how we accepted the proposal in having these conglomerates deal with them, and with the first 15 towns to supply bread, cakes and biscuits. 

At the later stage, we managed to have a deal with Richard Rich and gained another 10 more cities to supply health and beauty products to the rich and famous for 24 consecutive months as well as another 5 towns for another 6 consecutive months ending in December 1442.

Seeing I had gotten my journal ready and Heather was standing at the writing slate with her chalk ready, Marcel then slowly narrates the conversion of the denominations as well as the exchange rate.

During the period of 1337-1453, a terrible war broke in Medieval England and that period was called (Hundred Year's War) and a huge turmoil ensued between the England and France with the involvement of rebels as well as opportunists.
