Lisa woke up with a start! She stared at the unfamiliar ceiling for several seconds before finally remembering that she had moved into her new base. She sat up on the two old couch's and stretched stiffly. The room was a bit chilly, but it felt good to have had a full night's rest. Even at Joan's house she couldn't sleep in because Richard got up every morning before the sun had even risen. He had to tend to the garden or collect firewood. 

Getting up and ready for the day, she started off with two carrots for breakfast. Not an ideal breakfast, but it was far tastier than nothing. She decided that leaving the coffin in her 'room' would be alright. All she needed was her weapons and food for now. 

Her first task before checking to see if she could get this old dam running again was to stock up on food and water. The water wasn't that hard to get. The river, on the topside of the dam, was very high and only a short walk down a slope from the road crossing on top of the dam. 

Food was a bit trickier to get. She could go to buy food from the market, but this option had two problems. One, was that her funds wouldn't last long, as she had no current income. Two, if someone was to follow her back to the dam, they might figure out her plan and cause her trouble. 

Another option was to grow her own food. This also wasn't currently possible. She didn't have any seeds, time or knowledge of farming. So, her only real option was to hunt. 

She decided to cross the dam and go into the woodlands on the mountain. There she intended to set up snares for squirrels and rabbits. Small game was much easier to gather that bears or deer. She knew how to as well from her military survival training. She took from her coffin several strong thin wires and headed of towards the dam's road. 

Now that she wasn't focused on fighting, like last time, she could really take in the scenery. The road itself was in great condition and its dark black asphalt was perfectly smooth with no visible cracks. On either side of the road the guard walls were chest high and only where two areas of the walls met in that space a large tuff of weeds grew. 

Looking over the wall on her right she could see the town on both sides of the river. The dam was really high up in the mountain compared to the town on the plains below. The side she had been on clearly was larger and from the gray smoke that rose from scattered fires all around, proved it was more populated. 

Whereas the on the east side it looked like it was at one point an area of industrial power. Tall and complex looking factory's, warehouses and office building dominated much of the area. Only from the middle of that part of town to the area closest to the ruined highway bridge had smoke rising showing that people lived there. 

Then leaning over the edge, she took a quick look at the dam wall itself. Thankfully she saw no cracks or damaged areas. Only five huge water pipes, out of twenty, could be seen spewing muddy water into the river. She was so high up she couldn't hear the water splashing at all.

The other side of the dam was beautiful. The lake the dam had created was nestled in between the mountains. On either side was a steep but short cliff, with tan and gray rocks scattered at the water's edge. Above the cliffs was a sea of evergreen trees and poplars. A hawk glided across the lakes surface in silent glory. 

The wind was gently blowing her hair as the newly risen sun warmed her skin. She smiled happily enjoying the pleasant morning. Soon she reached the cool shadows of the forest and started to set up her snares. 

The snare is simple in design and function. Simply find a path through the tall grass made by rabbits or a branch leaning against a tree. The make and tie a small loose loop on one end of the wire, no bigger than a fingers width. Then thread the other end of the wire through the loop to form a slip knot. Take the slip knot and place it ten centimeters above the ground or five centimeters above the branch. Finally, secure the loose end to a nearby tree or stake. Now leave the snare there till dark or the next morning. The animal will enter the trap and it will tighten down onto some part of the animal and prevent it from escaping until one was to come get it. 

Lisa set up a dozen of these snares before heading back to the dam's powerhouse building. By the time she got back it was nearly noon and the sunshine was warm as it reflected off the asphalt road. 

Rekindling last night's fire, she boiled and ate some corn on the cob. Then it was time for her to get back to business. How to get the dam running. 

Using what little power the laptop still had, she studied the power lines leaving the plant and electrical lines that traveled the entire dam itself. When the power reached ten percent remaining did she finally close the laptop. Fortunately, she had a relatively great memory and knew exactly what and where to look for her objectives. 

Her first goal was to ensure that all of the power lines, exiting the Powerhouse towards the town, were all disconnected. If anyone else knew that electricity was running again, they would immediately try to take over the hydroelectric dam. She could not let this happen, otherwise her goal to make some money would be destroyed. 

Checking the lines was actually much easier than one might think. It is very clear to see the power lines suspended on poles leading to each side of the river. There were four lines going in opposite directions from the Powerhouse and each line was an Ultra high voltage (UHV) long transmission line. A transmission line having a length more than 250 km is considered as a long transmission line. These (UHV) lines are capable of sending electrical power to nearly an entire state, a fact that excited Lisa immensely. If she did manage to spread her influence into other towns it would take no time for her to rake in so much cash! 

But for now, she had to sever these lines temporarily. Luckily, she didn't have to cut them but rather uncouple them from the transformers inside the Powerhouse. Normally it would take several workers with tools to do this, but Lisa had her military grade cybernetic prosthetic strength that was more than enough to uncouple the lines.

The next step was to go to the control room and flip on the switches to the transformer number one and to generator number one. Even though there wasn't any power yet she had to do this so they would activate after she manually started the turbines inside the dam. 

To start the turbines two things needed to be done. The first was to make sure that water from the lake was able to travel down through the intake pipe and spin the turbines underneath the generators. This led to the second issue. Lisa had to go into the dark tunnel the manually turn the valve open to allow water into the pipes. 

After seeing the darkness and cold of the tunnel the day before Lisa was not looking forwarded to going in there. It wasn't that she was scared but going into such places alone was always unsettling to anyone. 

She got together materials to make two torches to light her way through the tunnel. She found old rags and flammable liquids in the storage rooms on the first floor to accomplish making the torches. Along with her sword and just for good measure, her handgun, in case she returned to find someone in her base. Soon she was ready to go.

Standing in front of the two big metal doors leading to the tunnel of the dam, she took a big breath for no real reason to relax. Then removing the chain and dropping it to the floor she pushed open one of the doors. Yet again damp cool air rushed rapidly out from the dark maw of the tunnel. The sounds of metal on concrete screeched annoyingly together. 

Taking a match from her pocket she lit the first torch and it immediately started to burn brightly. The fire light lit up an area of forty meters or so ahead as she walked towards the first set of magnetic generators. Luckily, they were not far from the entrance. 

Her shoes scrapped softly on the concrete floor as she walked checking the walls for where she remembered where the switch was. She quickly spotted the big red and round manual switch on the wall behind the first generator. Before she turned it on, she inspected the generator itself. Eyeing it carefully she determined that there was no signs of major rust, cracks or warped parts. This was surprisingly great news considering how long the dam had likely been dormant. 

Satisfied Lisa turned to the round wall switch. She set her torch down on the floor next to her and it dimmed slightly but everything near her was quite visible. Gripping the switch tightly she rotated it. It groaned in protest loudly and she could hear the mechanisms inside the intake pipe raising to let the water back in the pipe. The gurgling of water was audible as it flowed down rapidly before making contact with the turbines under the generator. 

A dull thud echoed slightly as the turbines started to forcibly spin the shaft leading to the generator, which in turn creaked as it started up. The process was slow, and it took nearly five minutes before the generator started to make a humming noise. Hearing this Lisa got excited. 

Now for the moment of truth, could it power the dam's lights and provide her the chance to earn wealth? Thinking about this she picked up the torch from the floor and hurried over towards the breaker on the opposite side of the tunnel. The breaker had on the outside of it a big lever that was currently lowered. All she needed to do was lift it and see if electricity indeed was being generated. 

She reached towards the leaver, when a slight sound came from further down the tunnel. 

Pat, pat, pat, pat!

It was the sound of bare footsteps coming her way in the dark! She was not alone down here!

Several years after major nuclear events, followed by the rise of robotic armies, have caused the world to become post-apocalyptic. The year is 2276 and Earth is now full of anarchy, corruption and death. A lone woman carrying a large backpack, in the shape of a coffin, comes to a small post-apocalyptic town in the middle of Utah whose only existence rides on the Colorado River. There is a dam which provides water, food and transportation to the several thousand people who have been congregating in the re-growing town. Many had hoped to fix the hydroelectric station to rebuild their lives, but corruption brews. 

The lone woman stops at one of the bars and gets into a fight with some local gangsters who were mistreating a young girl outside. Causing her to become at odds with the gangs of the town. This is the instance that first roots our heroine, Lisa Cunningham, to save this town and prompted her to grow her Black Market Empire here! 

However, gangs are the least of her worries! Robotic army’s, rebellion militia, mutated monsters, mad cults, competing companies and lustful men ogled over her all the time!! Not to mention the strange events that slowly begin to happen around the girl, Hanna, that she saved. 

Yet there is more to Lisa than good looks alone. She has come back from over 200 years ago and is learning more about what has happened while she was in cryogenic sleep. How will she be able to survive in a hostile world and reach her own goals?

It was the next day, a Friday. Issei was in school sitting in his homeroom while the teacher was busy teaching. However, the P.A System turned on and a male spoke up.

[Today is the day we celebrate excellence. For all those students who have a 90% or above in all their classes, we are giving you a free day... You will be able to go home or go on a field trip to America! We have prepared a special trip to a Nuclear Power Plant out in the desert of Nevada! This is a once in a lifetime trip! This nuclear power plant is brand new and they want to show it off to students around the world. It is using new technology and it would provide power to the entire west coast of America, with just one plant! So, if you are interested in the trip, please, come down to the Gym. We will be providing lunch for everyone. This trip will be for the entire weekend, so check in with your parents as well.] The announcement ended, and Issei got up from his seat. Koneko did as well and they walked out, waving good bye to the teacher.

About five minutes later, Issei and Koneko arrived at the Gym, meeting up with Rias and Akeno. Rias smiled and waved.

"So you guys are also interested in this trip?" Rias asked.

"... Nothing better to do." Koneko said.

"Of course. I am also going to bring Satan along. I think he should see this. I have always wondered what the inside of a Nuclear Power Plant looks like." Issei said before leaving the gym and running home.

About twenty minutes later, Issei came back to the gym, sitting down with Rias. The only people attending the Gym was Rias and her peerage, and the Student Council president, Sona Shitori.

"Ah, Rias. Is that your new servant?"

Issei turned his head.

"Yes Sona. This here is Issei Hyoudou."

"Oh, so that is the guy who beat Riser for you? I have to say, you have quite a strong one."

"Yes, I am quite proud too."

Issei blushed. "So Sona is a devil as well?"

"Yes Issei. Her real name is Sona Sitri." Rias said.

"Well, it is nice to meet you Sona." Issei said. It was then, Sona saw Satan climbing up Isseis back.

"S-spider! EEEEEK!" Sona said, attempting to swat at it with a newspaper.

"HEY! HEY! This here is Satan! Don't try to hit him!" Issei said, backing away.

"W-what? You named it?! THATS DISGUSTING!" Sona said.

Issei rolled his eyes. "To you maybe, but I think he is adorable."

"Ick, I hate spiders. Creepy as hell! It better not be coming with us."

"Of course he is. He should get to see a nuclear power plant too."

"Keep it away from me then!" Sona said, hiding behind the vice president, Tsubaki.

Issei and Rias chuckled a bit, trying to not blow out in full laughter.

It was then, it was time to go.

"Alright, it is time for us to get going." Rias said. "Sona, shall I do the honors?"

"Yes... please." She said, still terrified.

Rias prepared a large teleportation circle, prepping to jump. A red flash happened and poof, they all poofed.

When they next appeared, they were in a small building. They all left the building and what they saw was amazing. Japan does not have these, but it was a massive desert. It was hot, the sun was boiling, and you could just hear the vultures in the sky. It was Nevada. ((I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. It fucking SUUUUUUUCKS))

They came out and met up with a group if little children, from kindergarten to Third Grade. They were with a bunch of teachers as well. One of the teachers turned and smiled.

"Sona!" She said with a very cheery voice. It was a beautiful woman.

"W-what are you doing here?!" Sona demanded. "Aren't you supposed to be doing Maou business in the underworld?!"

"This is my business So-tan. What's wrong? Do you not like your big sister?! Why are you so mean?!" The woman began to tear up.

"Who is this beautiful woman?" Issei asked.

"This here is Serafall Leviathan, Sona's older sister and one of the Four Maou's."

"Power and Beauty. She must be popular." Issei said with a smile.

"She is very popular amongst the males in the Underworld. Probably the most popular." Rias said like it was just a thing.

"Aunty Rias!" Came out a male voice. It broke through the line of the children, and that is when a boy with crimson red hair like Rias came running and jumping right into her eyes.

"Oh my, you are getting to be a big boy aren't you Millicas? It is great to see you. So you are here for this trip too?"

"Yes! Ms. Leviathan was nice enough to take me!"

Serafall smiled. "Yes! I wanted to see this too, so I asked Sirzechs if I can go! He said yes if I protect his son!"

Issei walked over to Rias and Millicas. "So this here is your nephew huh?" Issei asked.

"Yes, this is my nephew. Millicas, this here is my new servant, Issei."

"Is this the guy who was in the spider costume?" Millicas asked.

"Ah yes, that was me. I made that costume you know."

"Wow! It is really neat!" Millicas said with stars in his eyes.

Issei smiled. Serafall then walked forward. "Ok everyone! Lets go to the power plant ok! Lets have fun!"

With that, all the little children cheered and said yes!

Issei laughed. "The Maou is quite eccentric."

Rias smiled. "Yes, she is quite a character, but she is very powerful you know."

"Ah, well that is good to know. We have a powerful Devil with us."

Rias just smiled.

About five minutes later, they were all entering the Power Plant, being led by one of the workers.

"As you can see, we here take safety very seriously." The man said. All along the walls, were many upon many shelves, containing Radiation gear. There was also very well lit signs, markings and other things that lead to the exits. "You here will be very safe as you tour our brand new plant."

An explosion in space above the earth. An asteroid was approaching the earth, its green glow a sight. Within the plant, was a man with evil eyes and an evil face. He had pointy ears as well. There was also a boy with blonde hair, Freed Sellzan. They were planting a large device in the middle of this room.

"Are you sure that they are going to be here?" Freed asked.

"Yes. My spy has told me they are already here inside. So lets hurry up and let this sucker go." The man said, typing in a code into the device. It read 25 minutes. Once the clock began to tick, they quickly left in a flash of white light.

"So, this plant began construction in 2008, with the plan of providing power to the west coast. This plant would replace several of the nuclear power plants in the area, allowing the others to be used for the military or whatever. They would be decommissioned. It was also cheaper to just have one running of course." The guide said. "This here is our chief engineer. He will tell you all about how nuclear power works."

The Chief Engineer began to talk, walking with the tour guide and the students.

The large asteroid exploded within the earths atmosphere, turning into a small meteorite, the size of a football, and in the shape of one as well. It was glowing green as well. It began to rocket towards land.

"So, any questions?" The Tour Guide asked.

"Yes. Where is the bathroom?" Asked a kindergartener.

The guide smiled and a young lady grabbed his hand. "This way."

The two left, heading to the bathroom. They were now in the middle of the plant, looking upon the massive turbine.

"This here is the turbine that provides most of the power. The other turbines help, but this one is our pride in joy."

The Meteorite was plummeting right towards the Nuclear Power Plant.

"So, any questi-" BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. The power plant shook. An alarm went off and several more explosions began to happen. "GET OUT OF HERE. NOW!" The Tour guide said, until a large sharp pipe was sent into his head, sending him to the ground.

The students began to scream and cry as Sona and Rias began to evacuate. Issei helped shoo everyone along, but several explosions began to seperate everyone. Falling pipes, turbines exploding and alarms going off. It was Chaos. All around, the workers were dying. Pipes skewering, fire burning them with intense heat, or falling debris. The Nuclear Power Plant was doomed.

From the meteorite, a black gooey substance began to ooze out and began to crawl out.

Rias and Sona finally got outside, with Serafall and Issei in the back, helping them along. Sona, Rias, Akeno, Serafall, Tsubaki and several others began to form a giant barrier over the nuclear power plant, attempting to control it. From the outside was a bright green light coming from the top. There was also fires and explosions happening all over, and screams.

"Where is Millicas?!" Rias exclaimed.

"Where is the little boy who went to the bathroom?!" Serafall yelled out.

Issei quickly ran into the Power Plant.

"ISSEI! What are you doing? Get back here!" Issei looked behind as he ran.

"Keep the barrier! We need you guys to keep the radiation from leaking! I will save them!" Issei yelled out, disappearing.

Issei was inside, avoiding the falling pipes and debris. The alarms were blaring and the fire extinguishers on the ceiling were going off, covering the ground in a thin layer of a misty material.

"Millicas! Where are you?" Issei called out. He heard a groan as he passed over several bodies, running to the sound now. It was Millicas. He was impaled on a pipe, going through his thigh, blood pouring out. Issei looked at him and knelt down. "Its going to be ok. I got you." Issei said, helping Millicas out of the pipe, which Millicas began to cry from the pain. "Its ok. I know it hurts, but you are going to be ok." Issei said with a smile, placing him on his shoulder and carrying him. Issei ran over to Rias and Serafall, handing Millicas over. "Get some medics here now Rias! Get help from the underworld!" Issei said, running back in.

"Issei! Come back!"

"There is still the other child! I will be ok!" Issei said, giving her a smile.

Serafall looked at Rias. "Your servant is very brave."

"Yes. He will be ok. I know it." Rias said, trying to remain calm as she help up the barrier.

Deep below, all around the device, was fire and explosions. Fall debris and whatnot. The clock had one minute remaining. 59. 58. 57. It was ticking down.

Issei was sent into a wall by an explosion, but he got right back up, hurrying to the bathrooms. When he arrived their, the young woman was unconscious, while the child was trapped under the stall. He quickly lifted the heavy stall up, noticing the boys legs were broken. Like snapped clean in half. The boy was crying. "Its ok shh. Its ok. I got you. I got you." Issei said, picking him up and putting him over his shoulder. He then went to grab the woman, but then he noticed she was dead. He made his way to the exit, but he felt his spider sense wig out. His eyes went wide. The black substance on the crowd crawled into his right shoe.

"Good bye everyone..." Issei said, throwing the child out of the power plant. Just as the child escaped through the barrier, a white light appeared... and the power plant went up in a mushroom cloud.

"ISSEI!" Rias screamed out.

"Keep the barrier up Rias! Please!" Serafall asked, struggling as the resulting explosion began to shake the barrier and was sending everyone to their knees with its massive power. The roar of the explosion was kept down, not being as loud as it was supposed to, thanks to the barrier.

Akeno was crying now, and Koneko was as well. Asia was on her knees, healing the injured but the tears would not stop. She was sobbing. Issei... was still in the plant as the explosion occurred.

Issei... was a hero... he saved two children... at the cost of his life.

Altan Yul who was sitting on a shed close to the ceiling in the auditorium for a long time. Since he was invisible, no one saw him. He had seen everything.
He was feeling sad, sympathy and sorry for Mu Lan who was in pain. She was bound and those evil men were looking at her as if she was some kind of object. They wanted to sell her. Seeing all those harsh treatments on his beloved child, his body was building anger slowly. He wanted to slaughter everyone instantly. However, he held his killing desire. Because they were instructed not to interfere with this until she awakened.
He knew that others were having hard times too when Kilimanjaro was reporting everything he was hearing. They must have been raging in fury and holding back themselves, just like him. They had to keep quiet till the time was right.
However, the moment Mu Lan opened her eyes, Al saw her red eyes; and his anger dropped to the minus degree.
Those eyes were bloody red. Those eyes were too calm and quiet. Her eyes neither held any arrogance nor politeness. Her eyes didn't show astonishment seeing the people before her. She wasn't curious either. She wasn't angry or amused. Her eyes held no emotion.
Al's heart dropped. Her serene look gave him unsettling feeling. He softly spoke, "She got red eyes."
All the Cobra members who were in Cairo and Shintaro from Tanzania heard his voice through speaker.
Juan Silva, the muscled man asked, "Then what the hell you are doing there? Get out of there immediately."
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Juan hadn't finished speaking, the doors and windows of the auditorium began to close down with loud sounds.
"I think I missed my chance just now." Al whispered. He dared not to raise voice for some reason.
"You think?" Mark gritted his teeth.
Al touched the closest window. It couldn't be opened. Wind was holding it back from moving. "It seems that her power is back."
"It only means that her memory is back." Carlo looked at Juan. "It looks like you plan worked."
"And she had to pay the price with her pain and blood." Romano said solemnly. He wanted to tear off those animals who tortured her.
"I cleaned the blood on the floor. They won't find even a drop of it." Al said quietly.
"Congrats!" Mark's tone was full of satire.
They all felt bitter because they didn't do anything to reduce her sufferings. And they had the guts to clean her blood. How heroic and ironic!

Juan said to Al, "Romano will go and move you out of the building. Stay in the place you are in. If possible then figure out a way to get out of there. Also….."

Juan talked to Shintaro. "I cannot contact Al. What's wrong?"

"That's why you shouldn't have missed school classes." Shintaro replied mercilessly.
Mark said this time, "That doesn't explain how she is controlling positive and negative charges."
He didn't miss all the school classes but he definitely missed science classes when he was a kid. He didn't like scientific things.
Shintaro asked, "Do you remember that the layer of the atmosphere is magnetosphere?"
"I don't." Mark and Romano answered at the same time.

This outer region surrounding the earth, where charged particles spiral along the magnetic field lines, is called the magnetosphere, the last layer of the atmosphere."
"And so?" Mark didn't like this science lecture. He only wanted to know why Mu Lan could control electricity.
Shintaro frowned. "Didn't I already say it? The magnetosphere is a part of atmosphere and little princess has the power to control atmosphere and that means-"
"She can control magnetosphere and the magnetosphere has the electricity." Mark realized.
Carlo commented, "Her power is getting stronger."
"But she never did it before." Kilimanjaro said.
"Could it be that she knew how to do it all along but never did it before?" Mark asked, "Or is it that she just did it on impulse?"
Juan spoke up, "Maybe she knew how to do it but never used it because she didn't need it in the past."
Romano shook his head. "I really don't understand what you guys are saying." He didn't like to use his brain a lot.
"Go to school first, you illiterate hunky!" Shintaro scolded him.
"Sigh." Carlo didn't know how he got these people as his comrades.

Meanwhile, Al sighed as he couldn't talk to his comrades. "Well, I'm invisible. There is no way she will find me. I'm safe... or not." He was talking to himself. Who knew that Mu Lan's red eyes would directly fall on him. She was looking at him straightly.
Al froze on the spot. 'H-how is this possible? I didn't make any loud noise.' He shivered. 'Wait, she got the power of the wind, of course she would find me as long as air is around me. I'm such a fool.' He facepalmed himself.
He recalled that because of her power none of them ever won in any game. If it was hide and seek, the wind would help her to find those who were hiding. If it was poker, the wind would let her know what others had in their hands. If it was running, others would have hard time to move whereas she could run smoothly.
Mu Lan gazed at him for a few seconds and then moved her eyes to the people around her. They were all looking at her with curiosity. Though they didn't know why the doors and windows closed all of a sudden, they were a bit horrified and felt excitement at the same time. They were too focus on her. Their eyes were glittering as if they were some kids looking at a circus party.
After watching them, her eyes shifted on the person in front of her.
Mohamed Akram smirked seeing her expressionless. "I see your same old red eyes. I'm glad that you remembered everything, Ms. Lan."
Mu Lan was still looking at him and said nothing. She was unexceptionally calm.
Mohammed Alif didn't like her look. "Doesn't she look a little bit weird?" He whispered to the Horse Master's ear.
The Horse Master didn't answer. He was sweating. His heart was beating first. The moment the doors and windows closed abruptly, it was enough for him to give him a fright. And then, her 'little bit weird' attitude was giving him a very bad feeling.
Mohammed Akram smiled and asked, "Do you still care about your Mu Liang?"
Mu Lan calmly gazed at him. She didn't blink even once after opening her eyes. She asked him, "Mu Liang…. What is that?"
