What happens when you obtain a book that grants you a system and allows you to travel through different worlds?

We were all walking towards the house of Mr. Yamashita. It was obvious in his name that he's Japanese. 

How did he see this book before? What was his role in this world? Was he a protagonist or an antagonist? What did he do for this world? Did he succeed? What more does he know about this world?

I have a lot of questions about his life in this world. I know that he is the only one who can answer all of the questions I have in my mind. I know that I will be satisfied once he starts answering all of my questions.

The three of us aren't talking while we were following Mr. Yamashita. We also knew that he had powers when he explained a while ago that he made illusions so that knights could see other kinds of creatures to scare them away so they couldn't find his location. He said that he did it because he wanted people out of his business. 

But what makes us special that he allowed us to meet him?

He told us that only the three of us passed through his magic because Dionne had greater magic skills than he does. Even the weird machine we just fought a while ago was far more superior than the common machine that we encountered earlier in the morning. Mr. Yamashita also explained that those machines came in the forest once in a while to come look for the songstress if ever she changed her mind to go back to the tower.

Which is happening right now and maybe the machines are alerting its master. 

"Mr. Yamashita," I called out to him because I couldn't help but speak. I grew a little impatient in talking with him.

"Nani," he asked in his own language and I knew what he meant because I also learned Nihongo during my free time when I was in high school.

"How did you learn the English language?" 

Japanese people find the English language difficult. Those people who can speak the language commonly have high occupational jobs, or maybe they learned ESL or IELTS, or may have immigrated to other parts of the world that speak the language.

"I was an English teacher before in Japan and I also taught in universities in other countries so I had an edge compared to other Japanese teachers," he said and I nodded as acknowledgement. 

We reached his house and he got a key from his pocket and unlocked the door before we all went inside. Despite being alone in a forest, his home had a welcoming vibe to it. 

The moment we went inside, he lit up the lantern to brighten up the living room and motioned for us to sit on his couch near the fire place. We looked at his place and noticed that it was a very simple, yet a homey kind of house. In front of us, there was already hot chocolate and we thanked him before we started drinking it. He really knew that we'd come here.

He was really expecting us. 

Mr. Yamashita grabbed a chair from his dining room and sat in front of us. "So you were chosen by the book; chosen by the goddess," he started then sipped from his hot drink. Now he got my full attention.

"Sir, how did you—" he did not let me finish because he suddenly spoke.

"How I saw the book? The book can teleport anywhere. It can travel around the world on its own. I came from Japan, and you came from the USA, maybe," he started off then continued. "And I also know that you want to learn more about this book and how I spent my life here," he finally said and Dionne, Klein and I looked at each other before we returned our look to Mr. Yamashita.

I now know that he is the person that we needed in answering the questions we've been meaning to ask. 

"I know all of you and what is happening in this world. You're the warrior, Klein, you're the songstress, Dionne, and you're the synergist, Cevin." He told each of our names and roles as he pointed us with his finger one by one. 

How did he ever know who we were? What does he mean?

And I'm called a "synergist"?

Everybody was training and enjoying themselves. Continuous dings from system were ringing in the head of Stonexia, signifying experience points generating non stop from three different sources apart from his own generated from Condors. Soon enough he reached Level 13. And went through the news again, and found another important piece of World News from OPS.

**Pakistan and Chinese government have conducted secret meeting in order to tackle the growing economy of India. Plans have been setup to destroy Yrrah's Endless Supplies business on the name of a temporary war with fake excuse for the river water distribution of the two countries conflict with Indian Government. The date of declaration of war is still not set. Various terrorist organizations are interested in the plans setup by Pakistan and China and supporting them**

"No coordinates are provided by system this time so i don't know who and where is this being planned. So date is not set I don't have to worry for now then. Let's check remaining news then.."

I should be checking this Mammoth news but i will need to travel there first as I don't have teleportation access to that place. He thought of booking an air ticket to russia immediately and was about to call Mr. Han Yrrah, but system started speaking :-

**Host can travel to Russia via teleportation. As Tofu Yrrah is disciple of system as well, so system has recorded all the places visited by Tofu Yrrah, although many of them are still out of bounds (Anything out of asia is still not copied by system) from System's range but Russia is within Asia so it's possible.**

Mr. Tofu Yrrah had traveled whole world already due to his fame. Stonexia felt rejoiced on seeing that even his dumbo dad could be of some help sometimes. Stonexia still called Mr. Han Yrrah and informed him that he himself has to deal with all business issues from now on as all Yrrah Family is on vacations. He gave all powers to him and also told him to feel free to hire new managers in case if it's tough on him. Stonexia wasn't worried about anybody betraying him or his business as he will know about any such event with the help of system world news.

Stonexia took his time sight seeing Russia before going to the laboratory in invisible mode to take a look around the secrets of Moscow's top secret laboratory. After his covert spying operations, he was shocked to know that this resurrected Mammoth is not for the goal of bringing back an extinct species, but to use it for war purposes against USA. Various nano-technologies were implanted on the real body of Mammoth, then a newly discovered element's metal like coating was poured on it allowing it to become indestructible by ordinary bombs. Thus this mammoth has far surpassed the power of ordinary mammoths. A mind control chip was installed in its head as well to keep it under control, or otherwise it can become a calamity for Russia itself if not controlled. As per OPS scouting, the level of this Cyber Mammoth is at Level 15 and even nuclear bomb can only damage it little. Stonexia doesn't want to involve himself with politics of other countries so he didn't mind much and decided to use the Cyber Mammoth for just his training purposes. But this mammoth is like a robot, that's why cheatcode of Love-cum-hate wasn't applicable on it. 

"System, is there any way to control this mammoth?" asked Stonexia.
**OPS can do anything. It can control this thing by hacking its mind control chip easily. But host is really idiot. Host can simply keep slaying the mammoth as it is in demo mode using 'Overpowered Sword', as it is currently deactivated. Experience points will be little lowered but still they are good enough for host to level up easily. Host can use disciples to farm this thing fast as well later when they are strong enough.**

Stonexia felt embarrassed on getting scolded by system, but he was happy with the suggestion as well. He immediately switched to demo mode and started farming on this mammoth. 

Currently only Level 15 stuff can hurt the thick skin of this cyber mammoth, so he can't use mom, dad, Gordon and Tutanka for farming this mammoth. Even he himself was incapable if he didn't have the 'Overpowered Sword' with him. He continued his training and reached Level 15.5 himself, he sent the shared experience towards mom, dad, gordon and tutanka as well thus all of them have achieved level 10 as well, and they are getting more and more efficient. 

Then Stonexia sent them back to Delhi to take care of worldly affairs. Everybody was astonished to see the new looks of all Yrrah family members. All of them were at least 7 foot tall weighing around 500 pounds with muscular physique. Even the youth has returned on the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Yrrah. They were 50 years old, but with level up to 10 the vitality in their bodies is automatically raised and thus their maximum age is increased as well. At level 10 they can easily live for 300 to 350 years of age. At level 15 Stonexia was capable of living up to 500 years, if not dead unnaturally. If it wasn't Stonexia telling his uncle about their identity then even Han Yrrah wasn't able to recognize them.
Later he instructed his mom and dad to keep farming in their free time. Through system they can contact each other anytime. Gordon and Tutanka continued their farming and were not brought out this time.

Now it's time to choose next target. He asked system whether is there any way to sort news based on his capabilities as well so that he doesn't accidentally went to some location where he can't handle the opponents and end up dying instead because now the levels of creatures should be beyond human's imaginations as he has already cleared the level of nuclear bombs. Although demo mode can help him resurrect but still pain from injuries and temporary death are painful.  

**As per host's request list will be sorted on the basis of danger/risk rates of the event locations.**

Dark forest ancient book news and Mutant research news from Dubai appeared on top of the list of news. Without wasting more time Stonexia moved towards Dark Forest as it was not a place already registered as teleportation point. It took a month in live mode to find the location. He was not in any hurry so he traveled the Madhya Pradesh state as well before finding the ancient book. The ancient book itself contained knowledge of various basic methods for ancient and foreign alchemy and blacksmiths supposedly from the mysterious aliens. But currently it was of no use to Stonexia, as the basic requirements for alchemy and blacksmith profession were sentient fire as mentioned in the book. And it is not easy to find such fires, and maybe it is not available on Earth at all. However method to acquire such fire is written in that book, which made this exploration worth. So Stonexia will just have to wait for the OPS to copy more planets or solar systems and then the news of discovery of such fires should automatically reach to him via World News of OPS.

After one year.....

Meanwhile system has copied Europe, Africa and Australia and some part of Antartica as well alongwith oceans in them. Now only North and South America were left that were out of bounds from system's range within the Earth. Various news popped up during this regarding Yrrah's business, various secret spying operations towards their business and assassinations attempts but everything was now reported in heads of Mr. and Mrs. Yrrah as well due to linking with training module and system. So they kept themselves and their business safe and sound and took care of their enemies with their own strength and money power, and didn't disturb Stonexia in his search for ancient book. They have further expanded their business to Europe, Africa and Australia as well. 

Pakistan and China scheme to destroy Yrrah's Business was still ongoing and news regading it were usually flashed by the OPS World News. But still nothing serious is planned by them. Now they are gathering support from other countries as well. Yrrah's Endless Supplies are no. 1 enemy of every country's governments. On the other hand, it has raised the economy of India to No. 1 already so it's like most precious gem for Indian Government. Moreover the people living abroad also supported Yrrah's Products only so even if governments of their countries are against India, they themselves won't support any war declared against India, and especially if Yrrah's Business was to be damaged. Indian Intelligence Agencies have already learnt about the hostile plans of Pakistan and China against them after investigating in the spying and assassinations attempt towards Yrrah's. So even government is providing full security support to not only the Yrrah's family but even the employees and workers of their family and business, so that economy of India keeps flourishing. One God Temples were great success in abroad as well, and 'Oneys' can be found all around the world now.

Various news from around the world popped up on the system during this year and Stonexia kept training and exploring secrets from those news zones. The mutants were also taken care of by Stonexia who were at Level 16 and were researched up by UAE government for war purposes. He went to the place with dinosaurs intent as well and found that someone resurrected T-rex and further mutated it with other prehistoric creatures to create a brand new dinosaur named  as 'Godzilla'. This was an tool of destruction too at level 17. In fact the news of hidden ruins of prehistoric era and dinosaurs intent was inter-related. The ruins were the place where scientists of Russia found the DNA of various species of dinosaurs and then managed to mix them all to recreate 'Godzilla'. Now the level of Stonexia has reached Level 19, due to non stop experience points from disciples. Now system has allowed sharing of experience level lower down to 10 percent instead of 33 percent that is used for disciples restriction growth. Therefore all disciples reached level 17 as well. Now it's time for mission supernatural and outer space explorations.

Stonexia Yrrah who was an poor simpleton loved reading novels with op characters and playing games. Rest of his social life was totally dull. He rarely stepped out of his house. Even his neighbors don't know about his existence. Of course the reasons for this is  society itself which used to bully him when he was kid. When he became adult he was bullied by college mates. Being poor even his parents couldn't support him or protect him from his bullies. After college, which he barely passed by minimum grade he had hard time finding a job to earn money. Even in job he was bullied by seniors and once he was forced to resign as well by a senior who wanted to use him as a stepping stone. After losing job, he has nowhere to go, nowhere to live, he was afraid to do suicide as well being a coward, so he simply pleaded to lord and asked for the reason of his existence? He just demanded one thing if their is no reason for his existence then simply provide him a painless death. 

"There is a reason for your existence. Here you go."

Old Time Tea heard that Pi was not going to Germany with everyone, but would stay in the shop to update its novel.
"Pi, are you staying in the shop? Our trip to Germany is long, and you'll be alone in the shop…" Old Time Tea asked in surprise.
Zhang Zian also wanted to say that the Germany trip would last at least one week—or even two—including the time on the road. During this time, Pi would be fine during the day, as Wang Qian, Li Kun, and Lu Yiyun were there downstairs to run the business and do the daily cleaning. At night, however, after they had finished their shifts and returned home, the only intelligent creature in the shop was Pi itself. The regular cats and dogs were its only companions in the empty shop. 　　 
Pi had reasons to insist on staying. Zhang Zian had not read many online novels, but he knew that one of the characteristics of online writing was the need to update on a daily basis. It was fine to take breaks occasionally, but one or two weeks off was not an option, especially for a new author. The reader might think that the author had given up writing and would give up out of disappointment on reading the book. It would be a total disaster to the popularity of the book.　　 
It was unrealistic to carry a laptop on the trip. People could open up their laptops and type anytime, regardless of waiting for the bus, on the flight, on the dinner table, or while drinking tea, but Pi had to pay attention to other people and could not do the same thing. It could make itself invisible, but not the laptop, nor its book.　　 
Pi didn't need food, which was an advantage. Zhang Zian didn't need to worry that it might get hungry, except that leaving it alone was not completely reassuring. Plus, it might feel lonely if it was left alone in the shop.　　 
"Eek." Pi nodded calmly, then shook its hands and grinned, telling everyone not to worry. It then circled its index fingers and thumbs of both hands to make a QQ shape, meaning that it would not feel lonely with the readers from the Book Friend Group with it.　　 
After seeing that it was determined, Zhang Zian stopped insisting that it follow him.　　 
In fact, after careful thinking, it was fine to leave Pi in the shop. Its life was extremely simple. It started typing after it woke up every day and took breaks when it was tired from typing, then resumed its typing again. In its free time, it read the online novels written by other authors as entertainment. At night, after it had finished writing, it jumped into the basket hammock to sleep. It didn't even need to go downstairs, so there was no danger.　　 
Communication channels were so well developed that Zhang Zian could check on Pi any time through the internet, urge it to not sit there for too long, and to take breaks at the appropriate intervals. There should not be any problems.　　
"Fine. Pi, stay here then," he agreed. "A few days will pass by quickly, and we'll be back very soon. Don't go downstairs in the daytime, and do not let other people see you."　
He didn't need to remind it of anything else. Pi had always been a good, obedient kid, unlike Richard, who was a trouble-maker all the time.　　 
"Eek!" Pi nodded continuously to tell him that there would be no problems. It didn't go downstairs during the day, anyway. 　　 
After dealing with Pi's issue, Zhang Zian turned to Galaxy. "Galaxy, are you going to Germany with everyone?"　　 
Galaxy was playing hide-and-seek with Wendy and was busy running and jumping around.　　 
"Meow." It stopped, stared at Zhang Zian with its blinking, big gray eyes, then looked at Pi and asked, "Germany… is it a populous place?"　　 
Zhang Zian laughed. "Compared to China, nowhere else is populous… except India, maybe. In the foreseeable future, though, I don't have plans to bring you to India."　　 
"Quack! Even I cannot understand the curry flavored English!" Richard was unwilling to be left alone and interrupted the conversation.　　 
Zhang Zian said, "Be careful. Maybe the Indians will pluck all your feathers, then turn you into chicken curry stew while singing and dancing." 　　 
"Meow. Can we play hide-and-seek over there?" Galaxy asked expectantly.　　 
"Yes. After the film festival is over, we can travel there for a few days before heading back. You'll surely have a lot of fun…" As soon as Zhang Zian spoke these words, he suddenly realized that Pi would be staying home and waiting for their return. He didn't know what to do.　　
"Eek." Pi waved its hands, meaning that he didn't need to worry about it. It waved again to say that they could fully enjoy themselves before coming back.　　 
"Meow. Isn't Pi going?" Galaxy blinked its big eyes and stared at Pi. The silver-gray light twinkled in its eyes.　　 
"Eek." Pi shook its head.　　 
Zhang Zian didn't think too much and explained the situation to Galaxy on its behalf.　
"Meow. Galaxy is following then, to play hide-and-seek in Germany!" Galaxy exclaimed with excitement.　　 
"Okay. The meeting is adjourned. You guys are dismissed. I'll do some packing. I have to pack early, just in case I forget anything." Zhang Zian looked at the time, then gave the order of dismissal.　　 
He went upstairs and took out a luggage bag from the storage room, which he used earlier on the USA trip. He stuffed some clothing inside, along with other things that he might need.　　 
The so-called dismissal meant continuing to sleep, play, and horse around with the elfins. Pi might be the only one with serious business.　　 
It jumped onto the swivel chair, sat straight in front of the desk, then put on its pince-nez and browsed the content in a Word document that it was writing earlier before going downstairs. It was trying to pick up where it had left earlier.　　 
The QQ icon at the bottom right screen was blinking—somebody was looking for it, but it didn't click on it to check the message. Zhang Zian would help deal with those later.　
Regarding the Germany trip of Zhang Zian and others, despite that Pi acted as if it didn't care, there was some pity and reluctance in its heart. It wanted to follow everybody, just like the last time they went for fireworks together, but it could not. Now was the first month that its novel went Premium. This was a crucial period, and a long-term interruption of updates would undo all the hard work in the past. It didn't want to disappoint the readers who had been supporting it all along. 
It was fine. There would be plenty of opportunities in the future.　　 
In fact, it was also an Otaku at heart.　　 
Pi quieted its mind and picked up the interrupted train of thought; it had already planned what to write next. It then placed two index fingers on F and J, naturally resuming the correct typing position that Zhang Zian had taught it. It no longer needed to work on resuming the position anymore, for this had become its instinct.　　 
"Meow." Pi was about to press the key when it heard Galaxy meowing behind it.　　 
It looked back. For however long, Galaxy was sitting around 1.5 meters behind Pi, gazing at it while blinking its silver-gray eyes. The light in its eyes was as dazzling as the galaxy.　　 
"Eek?" Pi made a questioning gesture, then pointed at the computer screen to indicate that it needed to work and had no time for play-and-seek. 　　 
Galaxy didn't look like it was inviting it to play hide-and-seek, though. It spoke seriously, "Meow. Pi, when you are home alone, do not go downstairs!"　　 
Pi paused, then nodded and pointed at the storage room, meaning that Zhang Zian had already reminded it earlier.　　 
"Meow. Do not go downstairs at any time, either during the day or at night!" After saying this, Galaxy swung its tail and left, leaving Pi confused.

Soojin leave to the USA for foreign study. Really... For study... well actually No. She leave Korea because she can't handle emotionally blackmail of her family.

As the eldest miss of yong, They want to introduce her as CEO of yong and that's what she didn't want to do most.

She wanted to enjoy her life freely. She want to travel, study and read. She don't want to live like working donkey. Soojin wasn't aways same like this.

Before she want to be perfect, rich and well known. She wants to take over yong co-operation so her family can relax and when her brother gets ready enough she will return him everything. She always think about money and money but....things got changed after that accident.

Soojin didn't remember anything. She knew that she got into accident. As her family and friends it was hit and run case. 

When soojin wake up she realized that she might have lost some part of her memory... She feel different from before but she really doesn't care.

For some reason she feels good that she had accident... Her family got everything that she wished.

One day she asked her Family if she can go to USA for study. At first they refused but some attempt to pray her family she got permission to go USA.

It has been a while since she lived in the USA. It wasn't hard to live in the USA as her parents prepare everything for her.

They arranged apartment and her parents live with her for a while to make sure that she didn't get any trouble.

Soojin went out to stroll around. It was normal day for her. She feels lonely a little because her parents return Korea yesterday and she didn't have any class till next week.

She was about to cross the road when she got hit by car. Soojin want to barg for rash driving but she doesn't want to spoil her day so she decided not to say anything but when she heard the driver shouting and his master to barg about his money she loose her temper.

Soojin almost gone crazy and lost her mind, She almost hit him hard. "Rich baster like you don't know value of live.... Take it and keep it Change.... Go and see to doctor... Just live a good life rich bastard and don't ever let me see your face." Soojin spill everything and leave the scene.

When she loved him eternally, He never cared about her and her loved. And now when she forgot about him and all his memories, He wanted her back!

year 2024 a parallel world where civilisation is several times more advanced then ours. Mechs and exo suits are the norm in militaries. Nukes? No we use G-bombs aka graviton bombs which are mini gravity distrtion bombs.
However behind the scenes mystic masters called yin yang masters rule the darkness and call upon spirits or dead hero or villans as their familiar. Magic, curses, blessings, alchemy can all be considered available to them.

1-4)stone bronze iron steam age

5)colonolisation age. Air, land and sea vehicles development.

6)modern era. Capable of sending unmaned stations to space. (current day USA and world in general)

7)mecha age. use of mechs and some form of light technology. Energy pollution from fossil fuels should also be solved and alternate eco friendly highly sustainable energy sources should be potentially found in the later stages of this tier. 

8)intersteller age capable of cross galactical travel at speeds ranging from mach 1 - light speed travel. Terra forming engines should also be potentially found in this tier.

9)gravitational age. capable of gravitational control and folding space time, generally dimensional control such as teleportation or creating miniature dimensions. (Unlimited blade works can be considered at this tier)

10) Unknown requirements but research has shown that beings at this tier can potentially evolve from their natural constraints and reach higher dimensions, or disrupt the flow of time.

After the events in Unlimited blade works, Archer dissapears and heads for his final resting place but instead ends up in the body of a fat otaku who nearly dies due to choking of water..........parallel universe? No problem,spirits? curses? masters of mystic arts? wth even heroic spirits taking over others? no problem I'm a counter guardian.

Ang Gate ay patungo sa isang kweba sa Lumber Woods.
Hindi naman nakakagulat na sina Professor, Kangen, at ang iba pang mga Metallic Dragon ay naroon.
Nakahinga nang maluwag si Professor nang makitang lumitaw si Marvin.
Matapos sabihin ni Louise na dinala niya si Marvin sa Elemental Plane of Water, bahagya siyang nag-alala.
Dahil kahit ang isang makapangyarihang Dragon ay magmumukhang isang butiki sa harap ng Elemental Sovereign, paano pa kaya ang isang mortal?
Kahit na si Louise ay kaibigan ni Kangen, mahiram masabi kung ano ang iniisip nito. Kaya walang nakakaalam kung ano ang posibleng mangyari.
Ngayong nakabalik na nang ligtas si Marvin, nakahinga na sila nang maluwag.
Dahil sa nahuli nang dating sina Kangen at Professor, nalaman nila na ang nabago na ang destinasyon nila nang pumasok sila sa Teleportation Gate.
Imbis na sa Nightmare Boundary, napunta sila sa ibang lugar.
Mabuti na lang at ang dalawang ito ay mga pambihirang powerhouse, at kahit na hindi madali ang interplanar travel sa kanila pareho, nagawa pa rin nila ito.
Pagbalik nila sa Feinan ay nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon mula kay Louise.
Kapag pinagsama ito at ang nalaman nila, siguradong ang pagtitipon na ito ng mga Chromatic Dragon ay nagresulta sa delubyo.
Tanging ang kalagayan lang ng Ancient Red Dragon na si Ell ang hindi nila alam.
Sa natitirang apat na Dragin, si ikarina ay napatay ni Marvin habang ang tatlo pa ay naging Evil Dragon na, at naging bahagi na ng Evil Dragon Cemetery.
Pero hindi pa rin itong magandang balita para sa mga Metallic Dragon.
Pagkatapos nilang mag-usap, para mapigilan nila ang plano ni Hartson na gamitin ang underground temple bilang lagusan, nagdesisyon sila na was akin ang Teleportation Gate sa ikatlong palapag.
Hindi madali ang pagsira sa isang Teleportation Gate na ginawa ng isang God, pero mabuti na lang at maraming tinatagong alas ang mga Metallic Dragon. Maraming mga artifact at ancient treasure ang mga ito.

Maganda ang relasyon niya kay Louise at kahit paano ay masasabing kaibigan niya ang Water Elemental Sovereign, kaya malaya siyang makakalabas at makakapasok sa Elemental Plane of Water.
Nang binanggit ni Marvin ang pagliligtas sa kaluluwa ni Tidomas, sinabi sa kanyang hindi na ito kailangan.

Isa itong pambihirang pangyayari. Lalo pa at inagaw ni Dragon God Hartson ang kanyang katawan at kinulong ang kanyang kaluluwa. Namuhay siya sa paghihirap habang ninakaw rin ni Hartson ang kanyang pangalan at ginamit ito para maghasik ng lagim sa mundo.
Pero sa huli, nakakagulat na walang masamang naramdaman si Tidomas.
Ang tanging paliwanag lang nito ay, kahit nang mamatay na ang tapat na Dragon na ito, isa lang ang iniisip nito: ang pagiging tapat sa kanyang Dragon God.
Napukaw naman nito ang kanilang mga damdami.
Lalo na si Marvin, na nalaman na ang epekto ng Dragon Teeth, isa pala itong nakakatakot na Dragon Restraining skill na hihigupin ang galit ng isang Dragon para gawing kapangyarihan ng sino mang gumagamit nito.
Pagkatapos alisin ni Professor ang Dragon Teeth, nalaman niya na ang kapangyarihan ay hinihigop pala ng Evil Dragon Cemetery.
Hindi man lang pinakawalan ni Hartson ang kaluluwa ni Tidomas nang mamatay ito, lalo pa niyang pinagsamantalahan ang kaluluwa nito.
Ang tanging pagkakamali niya lang ay walang poot o galit si Tidomas, kaya kaunting kapangyarihan lang ang nakuha niya.
Pinatay niya ang pinakatapat niyang taga-sunod at naisipan pang kunin ang lahat ng maaari niyang makuha mula rito, pero masyadong tapat ito, kaya naman kaunting lakas lang ang nakuha ni Hartson. Kung titingnan ay nakakatawa ang sitwasyon na ito.

Hindi lubos na mauunawaan ng pangkaraniwang tao ang taglay na bilis ng mga Ancient Dragon. Dalawang oras lang ang tinagal nang lumipad ang Silver Dragon mula sa Lumber Woods hanggang sa Supreme Jungle!
Matapos magpasalamat ni Marvin kay Stein, naghiwalay na sila at pumasok na siya sa madilim na bahagi ng Supreme Jungle.

Ang Supreme Jungle ay matatagpuan sa hilagang-kanlurang bahagi ng mga bansa sa Norte.
Kabilang ito sa kagubatan na umaasa sa Millennium Mountain Range, umaabot ito hanggang sa Far North at mayroon pa itong tatlong bayan sa dakong silangan nito.
Nasa paligid lang din ng Supreme Jungle ang Lavis Dukedome, hindi ito gaanong malayo, pero hindi rin ito gaanon malapit kaya hindi sila nagkakasalamuha.
Wala naman nang masyadong nabalitaan si Marvin tungkol sa Lavis Dukedom.
Sa araw ng Great Calamity, sinindihan ni Daniela ang Source of Fire's Order. Iyon lang ang alam niya.
Pero pagkatapos nito ay nakaranas ng Demon Invasion ang Sorcerer Country na ito.
Normal lang ito dahil maramng Sorcerer na nagmula ang kapangyarihan mula sa mga Demonic Contract. Kahit na ang bloodline ng Lavis Royal Family ay nagmula sa mga Devil. Maraming mga paksyon ang nagmula sa mga Demon. At ang ilan sa mga tao sa loob nito ay nasuhulan ng Demon Overlord at palihim na kumilos.
Sa madaling salita, sinasabi na ang Abyss Gate ay direktang nasa kapital ng Lavis Dukedom.
Mukhang matindin ang kanilang sitwasyon.
Hindi malinaw kay Marvin ang mga detalye. Hindi naman humingi ng tulong si Daniela kaya maayos naman sigro ang kanilang kalagayan.

Once we got home, we joined Mom and Dad at the table for dinner. Noah was quick to air his complaints about the loss we suffered. He gave them a rundown on the beating we took.

"It felt faster than that." Noah frowned. 
"60mph in softball is almost equivalent to high 80s in baseball." Zeke explained. "I would say she could have been better than Marie in her prime."

"How do you know?" Noah looked as confused as I felt. 
"She looked to be in her late 20's. And it's not like she plays as serious as a competitive team."

"Looked pretty competitive to me." Noah snorted. 
Zeke rolled his eyes. "There aren't any pro softball leagues. After college, she has even fewer choices. If she's playing in a rec league like this, then it means she couldn't make the national team."

"What?!" Noah exclaimed. "That's crazy! I couldn't imagine a better softball pitcher except maybe Marie."

"Is Marie a candidate for the national team?" Mom asked, surprised with where this conversation is going. 
Zeke shrugged. "How would I know?"

"You seem pretty knowledgeable about softball to me." Noah told him. 
Zeke sighed. "I know the minimum. I could tell when I was batting that Cassie was good. The end."

"Her name is Cassie, huh?" Mom lifted an eyebrow. 
"Yea, she even spent some time teaching KJ about pitching." Noah missed the suggestive look his mom was trying to give to Zeke, and explained how we waited for KJ to learn a little from her. 
"That was nice of you." Dad told Zeke. 
"I wonder what it takes to make the national team..." Noah mumured. He looked to Zeke. 
Zeke shrugged. "I wouldn't know."

"How can you not be invited?" Noah asked. 
"You have to put yourself out there." Zeke told him. "I didn't sign up to do anything with them. I have my own goals. If you're interested, take some time to look it up. Too bad you missed the 15U team."

Noah blinked. "I did?"

Zeke nodded. "This would have been the summer for you, and Jake, to participate on the 15U team. You have to be 15 and under. Next summer you'll be 16."

"There's no 16U team?" Noah asked. 
Zeke shook his head. "It's 12U, 15U, 18U, Collegiate, and then pros. I think they started a 16U and 17U development program that feeds players to the 18U team. If you want to participate, you might want to do your research."

"I will!" Noah hurried through dinner. "I'm done! Can I be excused?"

Mom sighed. "Okay, but shower first before playing online."

"It's not playing! It's research!" Noah yelled as he ran up the stairs. 
"That boy..." Mom shook her head before looking at Zeke. "Is it really okay for him? Don't they pick the top players in the nation? If they didn't pick you, then..."

Zeke shrugged. "Again, it's about putting yourself out there. Go to their skill-development sessions and compete in intrasquad games to show off his skills. He might make it. He might not." He looked to me. "Interested?"

I shook my head. I rather play in the cages. 
Zeke's eyes narrowed, making me shiver. 
I subconsciously turned to Dad. 
"I was able to make a doctor appointment for you, Jake." Dad told me when he caught me looking his way. "Next Friday you don't have school so I'll take you."

"Next Friday?" I perked up, happy to hear that I have plans for that day. "What time?"

He blinked, surprised by how eager I was. "Mid morning. I figured we can have lunch afterwards."

"Noah wanted to do a pool party with the twins at Alisha's next Friday." Zeke explained to his parents about why I was so happy. He didn't even asked what kind of doctor appointment I had. 
"Well, the appointment is in Santa Cruz so we weren't coming back for lunch anyways." Dad said. "They can have fun at the pool, but you'll be on your own."

"We can have lunch together." Mom spoke up, talking to Zeke. "It'll be nice to have some one-on-one time together before you go off to college."

"Okay." Zeke smiled.

I looked to Mom, feeling a little guilty. "I'm sorry, I-"

"It's okay, Jake." She cut me off. "Wayne explained to me. You'll be more comfortable with him there than me. That's nothing to be ashamed of." She stood up and walked by me to rub my head gently. "I want you to be comfortable and happy." She went into the kitchen and started to do the dishes. 
"Guess we have most of the week planned out." Dad said. "Are you kids doing anything this weekend?"

I looked to Zeke. 
Zeke told him what we had planned out so far: nothing Friday, game Saturday, cages and arcade on Sunday. 
"That's good." He nodded. "I'm glad you're keeping the boys busy." He looked to me. "Any plans with Jeremy lately?"

I shook my head. It was hard to make plans when he plays almost every day, while I have my own stuff to do. I had class Monday-Thursday, and softball games almost every other day. Jeremy also had to travel for away games so it wasn't possible for me to see him every weekend. 
Dad understood. "It's a little difficult right now, but I'm sure you'll see him more in the offseason."

I shrugged. Maybe. 
I finished my dinner and took my empty plate to Mom in the kitchen. I handed them over and told her thanks for dinner before going upstairs. There, I found a freshly showered Noah hunched over his computer. He didn't pay any attention to me as I grabbed my pjs. 
When I came back, he had completely changed positions. He was no longer interested in his computer and was in bed, reading his Spanish textbook. 
"Did you already find out what you have to do?" I asked. That was quick...

"Yea, I figured out why Zeke wasn't picked." Noah told me as I got ready for bed. "Their primary identification event is the USA Baseball National Team Championship. So you have to be on a team. And our team..."

Oh. I shrugged. "Well, Zeke didn't do it so it can't be that interesting, right?"

"That's true." Noah thought about it. "I should focus more on improving myself than playing for the national team. It can't be that good if they didn't even invite Zeke. And you! They didn't send anything to you. So dumb."

I laughed.

"Maybe I'll aim for the collegiate national team when I get to college." Noah mused. 
"I thought you would want to enter the MLB right away?" I asked, getting into bed with my own book. 
Noah shrugged. "It depends. We'll see how everything goes. It's good to have multiple plans in case something or other doesn't work out. What would you want to do after high school?"

"I don't know..."

"Well, we've got time." Noah said, unbothered. "We can watch what the twins decide too. I'd like it if college coaches were scouting me first though."

"Maybe next season."

"Yea..."
