What is the most terrible aspect of effort? It is the most underrated part as well, it is that effort is accumulative, meaning, one man's effort can be enough to dig a grave, but a group can do it as well or even better, efforts have the gall to be additive and cumulative, meaning the more people making an effort, the bigger the achievement that can be made.

This thought lit up the darkness in Yunan's sea of consciousness, that is always how it looked when he meditated on the oversized effort divinity. He always thought that the effort in his divinity was always his own, but that thought took his meditation to a new path.

It became painfully obvious to Yunan that all his efforts were not always solitary, there were many times when he was guided, helped and inspired, all those bits of foreign aid and contribution also helped, therefore, Yunan felt that effort was an amalgamation of many different sources and origins. Another jolt rushed through Yunan as he understood another side of his little reflection. If his effort could be influenced by others, is it possible to influence the efforts of other people, if it were possible, is it plausible that he could feed his divinity with the efforts he influenced?

Going deeper into the rabbit hole of this simple yet mind-shattering idea, Yunan dove even deeper into the meaning behind the effort and for a moment, he saw why it was so overbearing. An effort is beyond simple trial and error, every act and thought towards a goal, regardless of success, is an effort, it is one of the most neutral concepts of them all, it needs neither orientation nor requires a system. Effort is just effort, that is it, deceptively simple yet deep and hard to probe into. It is also why Burkan had no god for effort and hard work, no one on the verge of ascension would choose to work even harder, the little bit of effort needed to take that step is; to some, a hurdle that can never be overcome.

As the owner of the divinity of effort, Yunan worked as hard as ever, not to mention simple understanding of the divinity, what little control it required needed an unshakable will; just to withstand the amount of divinity and faith stored in there. Will and effort went hand in hand, to the point Yunan almost thought that effort and will were the same domain, his will was tested so regularly that he felt a divinity of will forming inside him, thankfully, that feeling only translated to a strengthening of the sea of consciousness, nothing more.

As Yunan grew more in tune with his divinity, he found that it was not as idle as he thought, it was syphoning the efforts of the people around him, especially his wives and pets, the link they had made with the master brand became a two way channel, they grew stronger passively as their efforts were harvested from them, even without stepping foot in the dungeon, they were growing to be as strong as Yunan, depending on how much effort they traded with Yunan, the amount of power gain was determined by the divinity itself.

It took Yunan the better part of 5 years to stabilise and attune into his divinity, control it perfectly, as well as harvest the related faith passively from the ambient energy in the Dreamscape.

Dreamscape has become the main way to contact the outside world for Yunan, it was used as a channel to receive the worship of the masses as well as the faith from dreams and effort, the harder people worked, the more he could gain. Dreamscape was not only a way to Burkan but to all the other planets in the universe, it was closest to Burkan due to the creator himself. Yunan found that humans were not the firstborn of the gods as they always fancied themselves, according to the energies of Dreamscape, Burkan was the latest life-bearing planet in universe Hosana, other life forms are older and more mature in both faith and technology than humans.

The Dreamscape was the domain of the first god, a god born from the first dream the creator had inside universe Hosana, it is the place where the dreams of the creator were stored, and from those dreams, one could see his plans for his creations. To gain access to other worlds, Yunan had to actively seek out the connection, doing so would give him authority over the dreams of the planet he connects to, but it would give the deities of that planet a warning to his existence. Resistance was inevitable, no god would allow a stranger, god or otherwise to just come to their planet and enjoy its faith without repercussions, hence the delay in getting contact with those worlds.

5 years later, all the gods would meet and be exposed to each other, by then Dreamscape would be used as the gate to connect all those worlds, and with all gods imprisoned, no one will stand in Yunan's way if he sought to invade or influence other planets, he could do as he wished, and with only 5 years left, it was time to start making ripples everywhere.

The start was inside Tartarus, breaching the final levels and reaching the control room was too easy, it was recorded in the guild that the highest floor available for adventurers was the 94th, mainly because one needed to be a pseudo deity to pass to the 95th floor, hence leaving the ranks of adventurers, and condensing a divinity shard would immediately let one know they are inside the divine realm of Hephaestus. Most of the pseudo deities end up failing to ascend, and instead of leaving the dungeon, they are offered places to stay and work.

In the divine realm, they can still try to ascend as long as they do not give up, but once they leave, they have to find a faith source just to survive as demigods and that was by no means an easy feat, most demigods die out of age or by war, gods and other demigods would hunt them down, sharing faith was not something deities were known for. This way, most demigods would rather stay in the divine realm as workers, slowly building up faith as pseudo deities, leaving the thrice accursed life of demigods to those who have resigned themselves to it.

Welcome to the world of Burkan, a place shapped by mana and magic for endless years, its main attraction is Tartarus the dungeon where all those who seek fame, power and wealth delve into its depths, in this world a lucky boy, a goofy bunch of teachers, and some friends, join hands to enjoy the life of adventure. They will save the world, fight the villains, learn all about how beautiful and ugly the world can be, there are monsters and awakened, there are ascended gods and even half beasts. Join the lively bunch to have fun, play with romance, hunt monsters and learn the secrets to power and greateness. Why should you read this? Because its a novel that will brighten your day, give you a laugh or maybe help you drop a tear or two, but all in all its a novel that I have fun writing and you will feel it in each and every chapter. Also for those who really want to know, there is fluff, there is growth, there is detail and general skiming, there time skips, there is method, its has very few filler material and the main point is having fun growing into the one man army the lucky boy can become, also the guy is so lucky he gets a dragon as a pet, a goddess as a wife and his harem ... Why are you still reading this synopsis get to reading the novel you are wasting precious time. the novel might start a bit slow and deliberate but will pick up pace as you read along, also grammar is not the best it could be  Enjoy

CHAPTER 402

THE LIMITS

 

A man clad entirely in black was silently sitting on his knees, observing the youth above him with the corners of his eyes. The youth sat with one leg crossed over another, leaned against his arm, the other one busy tapping against the armrest of the stone chair. In front of him, spanning nearly two meters across, fluttered a screen depicting speedy blurs and flashes of light that made it nearly impossible to discern anything.

Yet, despite that, the youth seemed to have reacted at every point of contention with one expression or another. There was a faint smile of amusement on his face throughout, only vanishing once the screen in front of him faded. Silence tapped over the two for a long while as the young man turned to his thoughts, his gaze dulling somewhat.

The black-clad man sat and waited patiently, never making a sound or even moving a muscle. It was nearly four hours later that the youth had finally come to, lowering his gaze to match the man's.

"... invite the Empyrean to see me." the youth said.

"... Y-your Grace? Didn't... didn't the Empyrean lose?" the black-clad man asked, clearly shocked.

"Oh, yeah, he got smacked proper," the youth chuckled. "But, he hardly lost. He got played, at best."

"... are... are we really going to go into open conflict with the Descent?"

"It was only a matter of time," the youth shrugged. "Besides, it won't be our conflict, anyway. We'll just sweep in for the easy pickings afterwards. Five years -- no, two... two years is all it will take. In two years, Great Descent will cease to exist."

"Huh?!"

"We only need give the Empyrean the assisting hand for two years, giving him some space to breathe."

"..."

"You think I'm overvaluing him, don't you?"

"I--"

"It's fine. Just say what's on your mind."

"..." the black-clad man took a deep breath before replying. "All our estimates certainly underrated the Empyrean severely -- but, he still fell under our general framework. He has failed to become a macro variable. If anything, he just confirmed that rumors of Two's weakening were hideously wrong."

"... no, rumors of her weakening are correct." the young man said, startling the black-clad figure. "She relapsed, most-likely, and failed another Origin Awakening."

"... h-how... how do You know?"

"Her last attack," the young man said, smiling as he once again began tapping the armrest. "Wasn't merely a warning -- it was a full-on effort to at the very least cripple, if not outright kill the Empyrean. However, he took it squarely... and survived. Not just survived but avoided any sort of a long-term injury. Now, even I would have to admit that if it were Two at her peak, she would have splattered him across the skyscape. So, she's definitely weakened."

"..."

"But, not to the point a budding flower barely fourth decade into life should be able to contend against it. If I can throw out an estimate without judgment... I'd wager that the Empyrean's Vitality at the moment of impact breached sixty million."

"W-what?!!" the black-clad man cried out, shooting up to his feet. "T-hat's impossible!! Th-that... that would put him near the very top!"

"... I know," the youth nodded, sighing. "And, though in my heart I wish to attribute his survival to luck or some item or another, it's true. I imagine most of it comes from the bonuses of his items, but even still, it would mean that his base Vitality is around ten million, and I garner he could hit a hundred million if he truly went all out. There are perhaps only two beings with the capacity to deal that much damage in a single blow."

"..." the black-clad man fell to his knees once more, his shoulders slumped. "I've still much to learn..."

"Don't chastise yourself," the youth chuckled. "I'm merely making assumptions with some basic calculations. The Empyrean's growth is not unprecedented," the youth added somberly. "If anything, he only really hits the 'upper talents' category. Eldon, by the twenty-fifth year of being an Empyrean, had already undergone his Origin Awakening. Eve, had she lived longer, would have undergone hers in at most twenty. Even outside the Empyreans, there are thousands of figures throughout history that had speedier climb than him. I wager that the Sword Maiden had already shot past all our expectations, but, well, she's an exception, after all."

"..."

"The reason why I'd rather stand on his side... is his Will."

"His... Will? Your Grace?"

"It's already become Unbreakable."

"..." the black-clad man had seemingly no energy to react past the gaping mouth.

"Realms, Arts, Cultivation... these are just shallow reminders of our own narcissism. In actual battles, they account for less than ten percent chance of a victory. My guess is that, in terms of Cultivation, the Empyrean is probably currently undergoing his Fiendish Awakening -- yet, he fought against those who had with ease, nearly wiping them out. He then contended with five Descenders, all of which at the very least underwent the Universal Awakening, and then managed to take a full-brunt attack of a Quasi-Origin Awakened."

"..."

"We're talking difference in Levels that reaches hundreds of thousands, Y. And though his items definitely played a role, not so much that they'd allow him to bridge that gap -- it was his Will."

"--I've once again failed to realize it. My apologies, Your Grace."

"I don't blame you," the youth said, smiling lightly. "After all, it doesn't sound physically possible... and, truth be told, even I'm having trouble reconciling it with the conditioned set of beliefs in me. In his case... as long as he isn't killed... he'll never cease becoming stronger. That's why I said two years is all he'll take. The problem for the Empyreans was always the beginning stage of their life -- any time an Empyrean managed to live past it, they became the horror of the world. His time has come. Within two years... you and I and billions of other souls will witness something that hasn't been witnessed in a long time -- Age of Empyrean."

"--won't One prevent it?" the black-clad man said. "After all, I imagine he has vested interest in keeping the Descent running."

"Though I've praised the Empyrean, I've never said he alone will achieve all that, Y."

"... ah. The Sword Maiden." the black-clad man chuckled faintly.

"Elanor..." the youth mumbled. "I already rated her as a cosmological variable when she was six, Y. Six. There is something... off about her. Though Origin Soul individuals always dwarfed the rest of the world in terms of quick progress... it was never quite the same as with her. They all would usually flare out by their Universal Awakening, as they simply beat their bodies too much for them to handle it. Yet... her..."

"... do you think she will persist further?" the man asked.

"She has to," the youth said. "After all, she knows far better than the Empyrean who One is, and just how strong he is."

"Could it be that the Empyrean knows too, and he played along to get Your Grace on his side for that reason alone?"

"No," the youth quickly dismissed the idea. "I imagine the Empyrean is aware of theoretical limits of strength, though I can't imagine the Maiden has told him much of it. At most, he'd see the strength as a curving axis that loops over itself inside an infinite grid. Meaning that, theoretically, there can't be a limit to strength, since reaching omnipotence creates paradox -- so, we forever chase that vestige, only to never reach it."

"--I don't think so, Your Grace." the man mumbled, seemingly surprising the youth for a moment.

"Oh? How so?"

"Though I didn't realize the extent of his Will, I did manage to notice something strange. I was unable to put it together until You have mentioned his Will is unbreakable, but I think I've managed to understand it now."

"Understand what?"

"He most-definitely knows there is a cap to strength, both potential and actual," the man said. "As strength, effectively, is just raw energy channeled in a fixed form. In his Will, though still immature, I found trace amounts of Entropy."

"..." the youth frowned for a moment, thinking back to the screen. "That blurb... was Entropy?"

"It is still very much in its embryonic form," the man said, "And he doesn't quite have the grasp over it, but it indicates that he understands underlying problems of the curving axis... and is trying to solve them."

"... you're saying he already understood that Chaos and Entropy and, in extension, their Laws... aren't the same thing?"

"... yes. I think he did."

"Interesting... quite interesting indeed," the youth said, stroking his chin. "If he, indeed, understood that difference... and is trying to childishly reconcile the fundamental problem every single living being since the Dawn of Cosmos has encountered... he certainly is a creature full of surprises. Extend the invitation," the youth said. "And hand him a redacted copy of the 'Cosmological Questions'. We can't have him traveling astray and wasting his time, after all."

"Yes, Your Grace."

"... little Empyrean," the youth mumbled as the man in front of him vanished, leaving him alone inside a room lacking any form of decoration past the glowing gem of light and a single chair. "Will... I'm afraid... isn't the answer to it. It's just like Qi... or any number of 'em... just a form of energy made up of base particles. But... perhaps you and the Maiden may truly be the key to unlocking the Cosmos' oldest question... perhaps indeed..."

This is a Classroom Of The Elite fanfic. I've been searching on multiple websites, and there are barely any fanfics of this series, and I've decided to write one!
I like this series, and I think that it is underrated. I hope that by writing this story, I will encourage people to check out the original series, cause it's a great series (This is my opinion. I don't expect everyone to agree with it)

"It's finally here!" said a young man as he saw the bus getting closer. That young man had black hair, with blood-red eyes. He was slightly taller than the average men, He was wearing a school uniform, consisting of a red button-up blazer, which he kept its buttons open, allowing the white dress shirt he wore beneath to be visible. It was paired with green pants, brown shoes, and a blue tie. That young man's name was Shinji Ayanokoji. He was a new freshman at the Advanced Nurturing High School.
The Advanced Nurturing High School is a school established by the Japanese government. It has a 100% employment and college entry rate, making it a very famous and very desirable by numerous students across the country.
"Kiyotaka, the bus is here!" Shinji told his brother, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Kiyotaka, who was at the same age as Shinji, 16 years old, has brown hair and eyes. He was of average height and wore the school uniform in the same manner as Shinji.
"I can see it" stated Kiyotaka with an apathetic expression, one he usually keeps on his face
The two stood up, as the bus stop in front of them. They quickly paid the driver and sat at the back
"A normal high school, huh? I would have never imagined we'll be able to enroll one. Let's just hope that Matsuo was right, and the Professor really can't reach us here. If he will, it will be quite troublesome" Shinji said, receiving a nod of approval from Kiyotaka. As the bus continued on his way, more and more people boarded on the bus, until it was full.
As they got closer to the school, Shinji heard a female student saying:
"Can you give up your seat please? You're sitting in a priority and this elderly don't have anywhere to sit?" the female student asked the male student that was sitting on a priority seat. She had a short beige-colored hair, with crimson gradient-colored eyes. She was of average height. As Shinji eyes trailed to the rest of her body, they landed on her chest, which gave him one thought:
'Damn! What I'll give to have my way with those melons!'
"Why should I give up my seat? No rule states that I have to give up my seat to an elderly, even if it's a priority seat" the male student said. He had a long blonde straight hair, with yellow gradient-colored eyes. He was above average height, and taller than Shinji.
"It's okay. He doesn't have to give up his seat if he doesn't want to" the elderly told the female student.
 The female student then looked at the rest of the passengers and said:
"Is there anyone who would give up his seat to this elderly?"
When Shinji saw that no one standing up, he thought:
'Well, there is nothing wrong with scoring some points with her early on' and then he said:
"She can sit in my seat!" Shinji said as he stood up
"Thank you very much!" the female student said and bowed. The elderly also thanked him as they switched places, and now he stood next to the female student
"Thank you for giving up your sit. My name is Kikyo Kushida, and I'll be attending class 1-D starting from today!"
"Well then, it looks like we'll be classmates, Kushida-San. My name is Shinji Ayanokoji. I'm also in class 1-D"
"Really!? Then I hope we'll get along, Ayanokoji-Kun!" Kikyo said with a bright smile
"So do I, but please refrain from calling me by my last name. My brother is also in our year, and it will be quite confusing if we both were to be called by our last name"
"But to be on first-name basis is a little..."
"We don't need to be on a first-name basis. I'll continue to call you by your last name. I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable"
"If you're okay with it, then I guess it's fine! Nice to meet you, Shinji-Kun!"
"You as well, Kushida-San"
They spent the rest of the way with idle chat, as getting to know each other. However, as Shinji was chatting with her, his thoughts were in a different place
'She's an amazing actor. A normal person would have never guess that she's acting, but I can tell. This girl's whole behavior is a big act, and it's obvious that she doesn't want others to know her true personality. I look forward to seeing her real behavior. I'll enjoy breaking through this act... She'll be a useful pawn' Shinji thought, chuckling inwardly. The bus finally arrived at the school, and all of the students got off at the station.
"The school is so big!" Kikyo exclaimed in shock, as she stood next to him
'Looks like she's planning on going with me to the hall' Shinji thought and then gave a side glance at Kiyotaka, who was talking with a black-haired female student
'Looks like he found himself a friend as well. I guess he'll be fine on his own'
"We need to make our way to the hall. We wouldn't want to be late for the opening ceremony"
"You're right!" Kikyo said, and they made their way to the hall
The opening ceremony passed quickly. The ceremony itself was boring, so Shinji didn't pay attention to what was said. Instead, he inspected his new classmates, one by one. When the opening ceremony ended, they gave the students some free time before the first lesson, so Shinji decided to take a look around the school. He looked at the cafeteria, pool, library, and the gymnasium. Now, he was about to go to the second floor, the second years' floor.
As he walked through the hallway, he noticed a group of second years in front of him. At the center of the group, was a male student with light blond hair and light blue eyes. As they locked eyes with each other, the student smiled at him and approached him.
"What brings a freshman to this floor?" the student asked with a smile
"I was just looking around the school. I hope I'm not disturbing you, Senpai"
"Of course not. There is nothing wrong with being a little curious. May I ask for your name?"
"It's Shinji Ayanokoji"
"Nice to meet you, Ayanokoji-Kun. I'm Miyabi Nagumo. I'll hope we'll get along"
"So do I, Nagumo-Senpai. If you don't mind, I have more places to look at" Shinji said, and walked past Miyabi.

Miyabi watched the freshman making his way through the hallway.
'He'll be an interesting toy...' he thought and continued to walk with his other 'toys'
~~~ With Shinji ~~~
'He'll be a tough one. I hope that I won't have to make any moves against him until I'll be ready' Shinji thought as he made his way to the third floor
As he walked through the hallway, the student council president, who Shinji managed to recognize from a part he paid attention in the opening ceremony, approached him, with a female student with purple hair tied in two buns and peach-colored eyes.
"What is a freshman doing here?" the president asked in a firm tone
"Just looking around. I hope it's not a problem?"
"You're free to go wherever you want to. I recognize you from the freshmen files. You're Shinji Ayanokoji from class 1-D, right?"
"Yes I am. Though, why would you look at my file?"
"I just happened to see something unusual in your file. Despite scoring 100 in all of the tests, you still got into class 1-D, and the reason isn't stated in the file" the president said, narrowing his eyes. Hearing what he said, the purple-haired by his side gaped in shock
"That is indeed weird. I guess you'll have to ask the school about it" Shinji said with an innocent smile.
"You need to be pay attention to which class you're in" said the president
"Why would I? After all, this school has 100% employment and college entry rate, so it doesn't matter which class I'm in. Or perhaps, you're saying there is a deeper meaning for each class?"
Seeing the president not answering, Shinji simply walked passed him

"President, what you said now is true?" asked Akane
"Yes. Moreover, there are no records of what he did before coming here. He also has a brother, who scored the exact opposite. His brother scored 50 in all of his exams"
"Do you think it was intentional?"
"I have no doubt it is. We'll have to keep our eyes on both of them. Especially Shinji Ayanokoji. I don't like the look in his eyes" Manabu said, and both of them made their way back to their class

'Looks like I got my first clue about this school. Also it looks like the Horikita-Senpai has someone he cares about in our year. He wouldn't have to look at all of the freshmen files if there isn't someone he cares about in it'
'I guess I finished my tour for now. Let's head back to my class' Shinji thought and started to make his way to his new class

Shinji survived the White Room along with Kiyotaka, and was adopted by Professor Ayanokoji.

Now he'll enroll in the Advanced Nurturing High School along with his brother.

However, unlike his brother who wants to have a normal and quiet school life, all he wants is to cause havoc and have fun as he make his way to the top.

Watch as he conquers the school, and a few girls along the way!

Surya was one in hundred .He is always aware of his negativities and has a way to subside it for time being .He is from economically backward family so he couldn't go for a high range bachelor's college. His father was a sports player ,working in film industry and wants to make Surya have a stable life.
Surya was always interested in indian air force ,sports ,and thing that challenge his abilities. He is always interested finding solutions in things that trouble others.
     In over batch there is a girl named Tejaswini with a character opposite to that of Surya. She was calm , simple and very inexpensive in nature  but she is also dealing with same situation with her family like Surya. 
     We all students joined in this college  because we don't have idea about the integrated msc aviation (GDS), it's underrated value in Indian society and our college ways of certification which is not worth to get any job in any sector except in indian aviation.
So if anyone fails to get selected in aviation has no choice in life . By the time we could know these things , there where a number of events that took place to destroy our future .

internal frustration about Indian education system fixed into a romantic story

Hello there, nice to meet you.

Since this is the first time writing a fanfic, I'd like to present myself and do a little survey.

I'm 17 years old and goes to junior high school in Switzerland. English may not be my primary language but I'll try to write my best.

My name... well you can look at my profile for that.

The reason I did a Persona 5 fic is because first of all, I effing love the series. And two, because there weren't any persona 5 fanfics and since video game based fics are so underrated compared to anime/manga based fics, I decided to make one myself.

I do not have high hope for this fic to succeed but if it can, well I'll be happy if you take joy in reading it, and even more if it inspires others to write.

Oh well... Let's talk about the survey a little bit.

Here's a basic plan of this fic:

- Guys dies and reincarnates in Persona 5
- He realises that instead, he's transmigrating into "The Protagonist's (Joker)" body
- He lives the game while trying to change some events ("what events?" is a question in the survey)

So here's the survey:
1. Ren Amamiya or Akira Kurusu?
2. Is Shiho gonna be in the phantom thieves? If so, which persona and arcana?
3. Love interests: Who should be in the Harem? Cause every Persona protagonist needs one (even though Atlas disagrees) Personally, I like Futaba and Makoto
4. Do you have some events that you would like to change? If so, which one?

As our main protagonist went home, he suddenly died while saving a girl about to get crashed by a truck.

In his death, he met "The Supreme One" and asked what he wished to do now. Our protagonist decided then to go to his favorite universe, that of the persona Series.

Sitting in the living room looking at the ring on my finger. I couldn't help but think of the potential for what I can do. I can summon anyone I can think of from the afterlife. The best people I can think of to summon are the creators of Hogwarts. Salazar Slytherin the founder of Slytherin House a parselmouth and master Legilimens. Godric Gryffindor the founder of Gryffindor House a powerful duelist. Rowena Ravenclaw founder of Ravenclaw House known as the most brilliant witch of her time. Helga Hufflepuff the founder of Hufflepuff House she prided herself on fairness, loyalty, and hard work. Not much else is known about their strengths their's only one way to find out.  

 I pour magic into the stone and four transparent figures appear in front of me. A bearded muscle-bound redhead man dressed in Gryffindor scarlet and gold. A black-haired woman dressed in Ravenclaw Blue and bronze. A white-haired balding man with a long goatee dressed in Slytherin green and silver. Lastly, a plump woman with brown hair dressed in Hufflepuff yellow and black. They all looked around curiously until they saw me sitting on the sofa. 

 "Hello everyone I'm Harry Potter. I'm the one that summoned you here today sorry to take up your time." I said. They looked at me with curiosity. I felt a nudge on my Occlumency shields when I made eye contact with Salazar. 

 "I would appreciate privacy in my own mind if you don't mind." I say breaking eye contact with Salazar. 

(Author note: I could do old-time style voices for them but I feel that would be annoying)

 "So young and he can call upon the dead and bat away Salazar's Legilimency what are they feeding kids these days." Godric said with a chuckle. 

 "This is not a laughing matter you fool. Who knows why this child summoned us or if he's even a child at all." Salazar snapped annoyed with Godric and skeptical of me. 

 "Will you relax for once you old snake even in the afterlife you still have a stick up your bum." Godric grumbled. 

 "Will you two shut up and stop arguing so much. Honestly, you're like an old married couple." Rowena chided them. 

 "Alright lets all just calm down theirs no reason to be so worked up. Hello, Harry, I'm Helga it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. What year is it and why have you summoned us?" she asked looking around at my modern living room.

 "Yes I know who you all are. The year is 1987 and I called you all here to ask if you would be my teachers." I said as I stood up and bowed hoping to show my sincerity. I could order them to teach me but I might as well try the diplomatic approach first. 

 "Huh this kid summons the dead just to ask for teachers. You've got guts kid I'll teach you." Godric declared.

 "This idiot, we don't even know anything about the boy and you're already agreeing to teach him." Salazar snapped. 

 "Calm down boys. Where are your parents and why do you need teachers can you not wait until Hogwarts?" Helga asked. 

 "My parents are dead and I could wait until Hogwarts but why not get a head start." Rowena nods in approval. 

 "Also, many of the teachers at Hogwarts are incompetent. The divination professor is a known drunk that gives fake death readings to her students. The history class is taught by a ghost that only cares for goblin rebellions. The defense against the dark arts position is cursed so it's hard to find anyone capable who wants the role. Lastly, the potions master was a follower of the most recent dark lord. He's also known to favor Slytherins over the other students and from what I hear he isn't a very good teacher. A talented potions master yes but he despises working with children." I explained as I took my seat again. Many of my elves worked at Hogwarts so this information is accurate.

 "This can't be possible. Who is running my school for it to fall so far?" Salazar exclaimed.

 "Our school." Godric corrected. 

 "Albus Dumbledore is the headmaster at the moment but you shouldn't hold it against him. Yes, Albus is to blame for it but there are circumstances that made things this way. The divination teacher was only hired because she gave a prophecy of the defeat of the last dark lord. That dark lord made Horcruxes so he may come back which is why Dumbledore is keeping her close to Hogwarts."

 "I don't know why the ghost is still teaching maybe to save money? As for the defense against the dark arts (DADA), a man named Tom Riddle requested the job and dumbledore turned him down. That man cursed the position then went on to rename himself, Lord Voldemort the dark lord I spoke of. Now no DADA Professor lasts more than a year."

 "Now on to Severus Snape the head of Slytherin House and potion master at Hogwarts. He was a Death Eater which is what Voldy called his minions. He was a loyal follower until Voldemort killed the love of his life. Snape is now a spy for Dumbledore keeping an eye on Voldy's remaining followers and watching for his revival." I explained

 "If this is true we have a huge mess that needs cleaning. How did you come upon this information?" Rowena asked.

 "House-elves are underrated servants. Many people use them to cook and clean but why can't they be good little spies. You never question seeing a house-elf at Hogwarts they practically keep the school running." I said. Obviously, I'm not going to tell them how I know most of it. It's really not even a lie most of that information was confirmed by my house-elves. They all looked dumbfounded especially Salazar. Imagine the founder of the House of the cunning and ambitious with an army of house-elf spies. 

 "Hahaha there may be some Slytherin in you boy. I'll teach you as long as that information isn't false." Salazar stated with an approving look. 

 "~Thanks for the compliment~" I say in Parseltongue his eyes go wide. 

 "Are you a descendant of mine?" Salazar asked. 

 "No, I guess you could say I picked it up later in life." I said cryptically.

 "Well the only way to confirm it is to see it for ourselves." Rowena said getting back on topic. 

 "Can you still use your magic in the state your in?" I asked feeling dumb for not testing that with Lilly earlier. Rowena casts a silent and wandless Lumos brightening up the room. I may have to be careful with the more hostile souls I summon. 

 "Then this is easily solved. Apparate to Hogwarts unnoticed and ask the resident ghosts about the school. You should still be keyed into the wards, you created the school after all. I only ask that you don't mention me and swear them to secrecy." I said knowing Rowena's daughter is a ghost so they can easily obtain information.

 "Why should we not mention you?" Helga asked curiously. 

 "I guess you can say I'm a bit famous for 'defeating' Voldemort." I say making air quotes with my hands. 

 "How could a child defeat a dark lord?" Salazar asked not understanding my gesture. 

 "I didn't my mother did but the world somehow gave me credit for it. The prophecy I told you about pretty much says I'm the one who will be the downfall of Voldemort. Voldy found out about the prophecy and came to my house while I was an infant killing my parents then tried to kill me. My mother did some kind of sacrificial blood magic before her death. So when old Tom fired a killing curse at me it backfired and he died. I'm now world-famous for defeating a dark lord and being the only person to survive the killing curse." I explained. They all looked at me with pitying eyes. 

 "You don't have to feel bad for me I'm very resourceful. I may not have parents but they left me more than enough money and like I said house-elves are underrated servants and they take care of me well. Thanks for your sympathies though." I said. 

 "Alright we won't mention anything about you and any ghost will be sworn to secrecy." Helga said.

 "Good, before you go just know that the way I brought you here will slowly make you feel more irritable the longer you're in the living world. You probably already feel like you don't belong here am I right? (They nod) That feeling will probably slowly grow stronger the longer your here. So don't take to long get your answers and come back here." I said and they apparated away leaving me sitting on the couch letting out a sigh. Being diplomatic is hard but it's better to have willing teachers than unwilling.
