Jake is a fresh graduate who worked hard and eventually excelled in his classes. But outside of academics and into the realm of relationships, he will always get a failing remark. Things went south fast after confessing to his crush that turned him down and gets knocked unconscious when he got hit by a car. But what was bad turned to something unexplainable: he mysteriously wakes up in a world wherein he is seemingly the protagonist of a romantic comedy. Having his heart broken recently, he took advantage of his situation, as well as the tropes of a rom-com film. But not everything is all fun and games when he realized his mistake of swerving from the original plot of this story.

200 years ago man created the greatest AI known but this Machine eventually grew a mind of its own and evetually it's own body, it rose up with others like it against the human race this battle went on for about 20 years and nature and most resources were dieing off cause of the continuing battles but the final battle it released a large blast but is wasn't a bomb it was something else entirely, the machines had something hidden down their main base, something that wasn't human or machine something not of this earth, the blast brought back nature it changed it along with the humans and Machines closes to the blast.....both of them went a evolution of some sorts and because of this both sides where able to form a peace ending the war

Hello, My name is Andrew I am average height, I am bulky, I have a little bit of muscular definition, I have short brown hair, and brown eyes with a slightly defined jawline, I personally am a very logistical person and I am introverted and play no sports the stupid skinny looking guy next to me is my cousin, his name is Rialey he is very pale, has brown hair which is darker than mine, brown eyes which is also darker than mine, is very stupid, has more muscular definition than me but hes way skinnier, and he has a very defined jawline, he is also taller but not by much, he's a hothead and is very stubborn, he does wrestling and sadly we are both virgins with no girlfriends. We are around the same age. I am 16 and  Rialey is 15. It will be Rialey's birthday in a month. We are both from the United States. We were standing in a dismal forest that neither of us have ever seen. Before the events that unfolded that put us here, we were just your typical weebs. We have watched a variety of anime but even that wouldn't protect us from the classic tropes that we would face and much, much more...

"The other day I picked up another generic isekai, it was probably the worst one yet." Said Rialey.
"Didn't you say the same thing last week and you also enjoyed it I presume?" 
"I did, but this one is worse by multitudes, it's just so unoriginal. These two guys were walking and got attacked and killed by a man with a mask, then got isekaied." 

We kept walking so we could get to the nearest place where they sell amaazoon cards so we could get more manga and light novels. While we were walking we were attacked by a faceless man, now don't misinterpret me, he wasn't wearing a mask… he actually had no face! well it was more like his face had been burnt off by something. There was no trace of his eyes nor his nose. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. I heard Rialey mumble "What the hell?" 
We had to look at his body to figure out why he was facing our direction and standing there. It looked as though his right hand was squeezing something in his pocket. Meanwhile his left arm was resting at his side. With his left hand, he pointed at us then ran his thumb across his throat. We both readied ourselves for a fight.
He pulled out a knife and we both started to panic. I broke out into a cold sweat. 
"What do you want from us?" Rialey shouted. 
Ignoring his question, The man came and attacked us.

First he went after Rialey. He replied to the faceless man's action by pulling the hand that held the knife past him. Using the faceless man's momentum against him, he punched him right in the gut. 

The force that was applied was enough to knock out anyone. I heard the contact from where I was standing. 

"Nice dude" I called to him, but the faceless man, who for some reason wasn't knocked out, pulled out a second knife that was hidden, and slit his throat right in front of me. I just stood there, awestruck and confused. 

As soon as I registered what just happened I readied for a battle to the death. He came at me thrusting his knife. I swiftly dodged the attack and countered. I slammed him into the side of a building, which didn't seem to affect him at all. He then used this opening in this fight to slice my throat. Killing me, there alone for no one to hear nor see.

One night two typical boys went out to get an amazoon card so they could get a larger collection of manga and light novels when out of nowhere they were attacked...

This is a book done by me and my cousin. We switch writing every other chapter. (Now every other Arc)

Firstly, let's get the definition out of the way:

{A kuudere, sometimes written as kūdere or just kudere, refers to a character who is often cold, blunt, and cynical. They may seem very emotionless on the outside, but on the inside they're very caring — at least when it comes to the ones they love.} -Ripped straight from Google.

Now, why add this sort of character to a story? The answer is that Dere tropes exist. People just really consistently love certain types of female characters that fit their fetish. The Dandere (Silent Lovestruck) is for the dom's type out there~

As for those who like Cool Lovestruck type of female character, they are normally the type who want to see the eccentricities of said girls. The Kuudere's deadpan face and awkward way of expressing herself matches some dudes out there in their high school days where they thought having an expressionless look was totally cool~

It isn't in real life, by the way. When trying to handle this trope, try to imagine a character who isn't an alien but more like a girl who internalises 'love' in a different way from others thanks to her upbringing.

Although some find her defenceless figure with her naive optimisms or straight up ignorance of the protagonist's thought, it needs to be said that someone would have assaulted her already if she was cute and doesn't know frickin' social distance.

Writers love to get away with 'but she only does this with the main character (who is unable to commit himself and is shockingly 'virtuous') so it's fine'. But really... it's not. The Kuudere does not have a cosmic detector for her future life partner.

If you want her to seem like more of a person that can exist in reality, give her some cautiousness and portray her 'Lovestruck' antics in a more personal way. For example: Through their blunt attitude.

The appeal of a rare girl who is emotionless on the outside but sweet and caring on the inside is a fantasy for Otaku who want to believe that the deadpan classmate they likes also likes them back.

Some think that Kuudere wants to be that way.

But in real life, people are idiots only in high school and become more well-rounded as individuals after gaining enough experience and becoming proper adults. The Kuudere's bluntness and cynical way of talking isn't welcomed in more 'normie' groups.

That's why it's up to the main character to be there for her and be the warmth in her otherwise 'cold' life. The only requirement for a character to be shipped with a Kuudere is either that he could break her trope-y attitude or make her feel at home when they are around. Make it look like they compliment each other through their daily life.

Of course, there are other ways to do this as well and I don't see why writers can't be creative when using this. Just don't use the trope as an explanation and more of a point of reference, as it will stop your character from looking like a walking Dere Trope who has a background attached just for making an excuse for her behaviour.

In order to stop and explanation sounding like an excuse, make sure it comes early in their introduction why they act a certain way. As long as the reasoning is understandable, no one will point fingers and say you are making a flat character.

Just be sure that unless it has a slice-of-life added into it, don't make personalities the man focus.

Keep things in the background if you want to be subtle and focus more on driving your plot.

If not, I highly recommend you at least make sure there are other characters she can bounce off of coldly. After all, if you only show her being nice to her loved ones all the time (even if it's the main character), then the trope will become forced.

There doesn't need to be a big explanation for her being blunt and cynical, all she needs to do is be herself and let the other characters be themselves too. It is fine to show the unpleasant side of such a trope-ish character, as it makes them more 'real'.

The bluntness of a Kuudere is almost like the bluntness of a muscle brain sometimes but you can always decide how snaky they are on through the things they say and don't say. The deeper level of their character is expressed in their choices.

And to characterise someone, express the way these character's see others through the eyes of others. After all, going from her perspective alone would lose the air of mystery around her.

Is she caring towards kids? Does she hate the rainy days? When does she empathise? Or be ignorant?

Character choices play a big part in showing what a character is about, and Pet the Dog and Kick the Dog moments are good material to use (I mean the tropes. Look the two up). Either way, how they react to circumstances say more about them.

The Dere Tropes are only surface level judgements on characters anyway, so making a character with the trope as a guide rather than a reference would make an equally shallow character. Don't add mystery aspects to her if there is no payoff.

Remember that the Kuudere is 'cool and sweet', not antisocial. You can picture her as the heroine of Yamada and the Seven Witches as she is the one who can totally live without the main character.

Even if they didn't meet, she would still be a fully functional 'cool' girl who may be misunderstood by some but best friends with others. The caring side she shows to the main character might not be a side she only shows to him but all those she loves.

Contrarily, there may also be a Kuudere who is truly emotionless on the inside and needs a lot of lovestruck therapy before she can open up even a little to the main character. Even when the Male Lead hugs her, it might take some time before she's able to bring herself to hug him back and really show her affection. Though this is sometimes flipped with her instantly wanting children the moment she realised her own feelings for him.

I'm not a fan of the 'You are so kind = I suddenly love you' scenarios as makes my jaw drop whenever girls instantly fall for our Eroge Protagonist MC just because he's a little bit nice.

I mean, have some creativity or at least make the reasons girls like the Male Lead at first something shallow so you can slowly unravel the romance as she gets to truly understand his deeper emotions.

There's nothing wrong with liking a guy for his looks, money, fame, or just because the character is his fan. Anything is fine as for the beginning of a romance as long as they start to 'want' each other's company and like having them around.

Anyway, that's all I got. Just remember she is who she is and slowly unravel her character. Peace out!

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

Have you ever thought that your date was a little clingy? Well, if you did, I think that you really shouldn't relate to my deepest secret!


    Summary


Some say that true love doesn't exist, but Emma sure has proved them wrong! Despite all the odds, she found her real-life prince in the form of Elios, a guy who is somehow head over heels, over the moon crazy about an average girl like her. Only one problem, they are both holding a deep dark secret that could consume them both, and everyone around them.


    Characters


    Emma: A young woman with a mysterious past that hasn't been revealed she is someone with a chip on her shoulder. While she is friendly and kind she can stand up for herself whether it be from verbal and physical attackers. So far, Emma's biggest weakness is her self confidence as she will often worry about even the smallest of things when it comes to Elios and has often held him as a top priority.


Elios: The very definition of perfect bf, Elios, is charming, calm, and polite to others. However, like Emma, he also has a bit of a tragic past as his tough life has caused him to be fiercely independent and overly protective of the few he cares about, including Emma.


Yohan: An eccentric brainiac with a heart of gold Yohan is in a highly resourceful and intelligent guy. While he originally interacts with Emma out of intrigue, he has grown to care for her and respect her boundaries. Yohan is always getting himself into trouble but usually has the will and the smarts to get himself out of it. With criminal activity following Emma everywhere it's his job to get to the bottom of this conspiracy as a self-proclaimed detective.


Overview


My Deepest Secret is incredible, despite having a somewhat dark tone it is freaking hilarious. Its comedy uses a lot of anime tropes and sarcasm to give a sharp jab at the expense of another character. This series also has a great understanding of a healthy relationship. Both Emma and Elios are to blame for the problems of their relationship, and the series captures that perfectly. The show also displays the signs of abuse and how it affects people in and out of relationships. Scars sometimes aren't always skin deep, and this story shows that fact off well. The first season is currently over, so I hope that they keep these themes running throughout the series.


Epilogue


My Deepest Secret is a very popular story, and for a good reason. I think that a lot of people, both young and old, can use this story as a way to move on from the tragedy. I hope to do another spotlight on it, but until then, let's see where the spotlight takes us next.

Just a simple person is trying to shine a little light on the beautiful world of webtoon. With a splash of sarcasm, narration, and spitfire along the way.  And who knows I might have other segments just for the hell of it.

The rest of Kong Fang's conversation went as he expected. His biological parents were on the run but in exchange for giving themselves up; they would allow baby Bradley Addams to live. 

Su Hong was chosen as the adoptive father because he was close friends with the couple who previously saved his life.

The enemies who took his parents away? Su Hong refused to tell him until he reached a certain cultivation level. In this case, it was the Core Formation level. 

According to VICKI, levels 1-21 were Qi Condensation. Levels 22-45 were Foundation Establishment, and levels 46-63 were Core Formation. 

Even with the Trope System, it would be a while until he reached level forty-six. He decided he wouldn't attempt to resolve his parents' issue until he reached the Nascent Soul realm which was levels 64-75. 

VICKI informed him that the first thirty levels were the easiest but after that, the XP requirements would sharply rise and he would need to put in a lot of work to reach his goals. 

Kong Fang knew he couldn't just rely on the System to get him where he wanted to go. It was time to utilize his knowledge and the genius resources from the Bridge Project to develop some suitable weapons. 

He decided he would try to create a version of his armored battle suit in this world. The problem was the difference in available materials and energy resources. 

At best, the boys and girls back home could only theoretically develop these weapons while he would have to actually make and test them. 

As the head of the Bridge Project and the tether keeping Kentucky from flying off into unattached in that little dimension; he needed to guarantee his own survival in before they could move forward on stabilizing the Bridge. 

All of these things were for later, right now he had to meet two more people, first Su Xiong, Bradley's little girlfriend, and next he would find the fatty. 

Kong Fang knew Xiao Xiong would be working in the clan's herb garden at this time. She was a gifted young herbologist with hopes of becoming a pill master. 

Approaching the herb garden he suddenly heard a girlish voice call out to him from behind. "Naughty Brad, you've forgotten all about me!" said Xiao Xiong. When Kong Fang turned around he saw a twelve-year-old girl with an adorable pouty face looking at him, she was holding a herb basket and digging utensils. 

"The only one who believes in me is a cute girl trope" has been activated.
"Powerful cultivating girl in a clan far beneath her and having a mysterious past trope" has been activated.
"I'll help you no matter what trope" activated.
"Because you were kind to me when I was young, I'll always love you trope" has been activated. 

VICKI sounded off four tropes at the same time. Kong Fang had already read enough Eastern Fantasy novels to recognize these tropes. It was interesting VICKI didn't have these already known tropes from Brad's past already active in the system. It seemed like he had to come in contact with the tropes in some way before he could benefit from them. 

After the activation of the four tropes, Kong Fang watched as his XP broke through two more levels. He was now at level eleven!

"Xiao Xiong, don't say it like that. I've wanted to see you before now, but frankly, it's been too dangerous!" Kong Fang exclaimed. 

After he finished speaking Xiao Xiong cutely stuck her tongue out at him and then rushed up to him and taking him by the arm. 

"Fine, but now you have to do something nice to make it up to me!" exclaimed Xiao Xing. 

"Look, I'm cute I just stuck my tongue out at you trope" has been activated. 
"I want an excuse to be with you so now I'm 'punishing' you trope" has been activated. 

"Congratulations, reaching level twelve," said VICKI.

"These tropes are amazing," thought Kong Fang.

Many people don't have the luxury for that.
Of course, there's work.
And yet...
People will always find problems, good or bad. Achieving one after another, we cannot satisfy ourselves.

If you're wondering why he calls me that...

Either it was an insult or a compliment, he calls me by the name 'Kaida' that literally means 'Little Dragon.'
But my name is Kaeda, you dumb-wit.
Why do people keep mishearing my goddamn name? It's Kaeda!
"Hello, criminal case."
He stared at me for a moment. 
He chuckled.
I pursed my lips a bit, as I narrowed my eyes.
My relationship with my uncle was like teeter totters, sometimes fine, sometimes not. We have this love-and-hate relationship.
Well, don't misunderstand our relationship please, it's not like that.
"Nah, little dragon is still better."
"Why do you call me that?"
"Because, you have the same crimson eyes like my sister's. She's the Dragon, while you're the Dragon Junior."
He widened his eyes up with his fingers. You look creepy, stop that.
"My eyes have darker hue, unlike yours, they're pretty damn cool." 
Oh geez. Spare me the flattery. You were totally insulting me beforehand.
He shoved a mirror onto my face. Dude, too close. 
"See? Your eyes resemble that of ruby."
He's right… I don't usually look at myself in the mirror, but my eyes are literally akin to that sparkling ruby stones.
I kind of felt a little superior, since his eyes had plain and boring red hue.
Like, akin to that blood.
Never mind about being superior. Since the deep-red hue of his eyes are somewhat related to bloody criminal cases, if you know what I mean.
"Why do you look sad?"
I asked.
He gazed upwards at the ceiling like he had gained wisdom from the Gods.
"What if everything in the world were a misunderstanding, what if laughter were really tears?"
He said.
"What?"
Of course, I heard that. Though, I'm not in the mood for deep talk.
"Oh, nothing. Wanna go outside?"
"I don't wanna."
In fact, I love staying at home. No need for that crap. 
Besides, I'm taking Vitamin D supplements, so my complexion stays healthy.
"How about chess?"
'…'
Seems fine to me.
As long as I'm at home, I can pretty much do everything I want here.
"If I win, you buy me an ice cream!"
"…But if you lose?" 
"If I lose, you still buy me an ice cream!"
God, I was even spoiled to my own uncle.
He chortled.

Bam. He slammed the chessboard on the coffee table for a dramatic effect.
5 minutes later.
Victory shall be mine. 
My uncle had been trying his best to keep his poker face. Little did he know, I can read even the tiniest hint of expression.
Of course, he wouldn't fall to my 'fake-expression' tricks too. 
"Ugh! You're suspiciously good at this!"
Nah, nothing suspicious about it. Unless if you're a proper detective, then okay.
"Checkmate." 
"Now buy me an ice cream!"
Well, it doesn't really matter either way. I'd probably demand a bigger ice cream if I lost, to compensate for my negative emotion.
He scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Fine."
Well, that was easy. 
After taking his own vacation, he went on ahead to fulfill his duties.
It does feel a little lonely here without him. Though, I still have my normal Dad, and my weird Mom. 
"You two seemed getting closer!" 
Ew. 
No.
Actually, I've been feeling weirded out whenever my Mom calls him 'Onii-chan'.
It gives me existential crisis whenever I hear her addressing him like that.
Err... Let's just say the word 'Onii-chan' is sometimes misunderstood.
"My Onii-chan's amazing ya'know!~"

Seriously, there's nothing really amazing about Uncle Hitzami, except that he's a little weird that's all. 
And I'm not really fond of weirdos that much, because I am utmost, a normal person.

Then, my Mom frenetically danced while climbing upstairs.

Dad! You're being infected by weirdness!
Dad is my role model, because everything about him is average too. But now, he's also spinning around, pumping his fists up in the air while climbing upstairs.

I was trying to make him laugh, not to insult him. He was sitting cross-legged on the floor, with his head drooping down in despair.

But, he ignored me instead. 
Right now, he's also the perfect definition of hopelessness.
"What happened Uncle—" 
"My co-detectives went in for the majority that the serial killer was some innocent lady."
Now, he was looking at me haggardly.
"Kaeda, your uncle is a useless piece of shit."
"No, you're not."

"I saw that look on his face, when we said that we would be investigating her wife. I knew that his wife was innocent."
Innocence…
"I even told him that I would help him and his wife to prove her innocence, but…" 
He clenched his fists tightly.

"Holding up a trial that I didn't know, so that they'd feel superior to our chiefs. Their screwed heads are too infected by the concept of promotion."

He was rather intrigued the way I speak, even as a five-year old immature kid.

"Why did you let them screw you up? Why did you let your problems take over you? You're the boss of your problems, so discipline them! Discipline yourself!"
I know, easier said than done.

"I'll take the case"
Hugo said after he had made sure Tim is not within the area to overhear what they will be talking about. Hugo settled at the guest chair and Darren was sitting at the swivel chair of the office.
It actually felt awkward to be sitting on the swivel chair when they both knew Hugo is the professional and well-achieved between them. Although if you consider Darren's success over the years, he may as well be as an achiever as the man in front of him who's leaning at the back of the chair with arms crossed and serious expression back on his face.
There's no remnant of the one who called him googoo and these changes of personalities are messing up his head. One moment his inner sluttishness is screaming to be let out and now, his guard's on the loose.
What other kind of Hugo is inside him? Darren's being nosy again.
But, did he say he'll take the case?
Oh. Thank Heavens. Thank everything. He knew the best things take time and eventually come when you have the heart to wait for it. He felt himself let out a smile.
Good things are starting to appear and he'll appreciate it if things go smoothly from now on. Like how smooth and clear his skin is. Flawless. Well-endowed. Well, he's not even sure if the last is applicable but you get the point, right?
Now, he should start the ritual to call on his guardian angels and summon every representation of positive vibes, good emotions, luck, and maybe a sprinkle of pixie dust and call on Cinderella's fairy godmother to ensure his beauty stays beauty.
He'll probably need the wrath of Maleficent too.
"Good choice, good thinking, and good decision. Now, let's start with Silen Corporation" Darren nodded and made the move to take something out of the drawer but Hugo stopped him.
"No googoo. Let's start with Henri"
There it is again. This time, there's probably butterflies and moths inside his tummy flying like it was on paradise. But there's also this dread of what Hugo can do with his words and how flowery and thorny his tongue is. He is, after all, a lawyer.
Darren knew, can see, and feel that this man can twist situations he wants to and can make it play his own made up moves. And Darren felt small. He was sitting at a bigger chair but Hugo's presence asserted dominance.
And Darren doesn't like it. Feeling small and incompetent. He's always berating Meyers being stupid and now, he felt like one himself.
"How about let's start with my name?" Darren negotiated like a professional business dealer and just dropped the grandest deal of all. "It's Darren Chu"
Hugo smirked and nodded at him, "Googoo"
"Da-rren Chu. Darren Chu" he repeated and Hugo smirked again, "Goo. . . goo. Googoo"
"You're just like him. Shameless and flirty" Darren rolled his eyes, starting to feel comfortable a little but he's still on guard.
"He can call you cutie and I fuckin' can't call you googoo? Man, double standards are real" he shrugged, "We're practically and physically the same. Excluding the eyes and maybe the tattoos"
Darren nearly opened his mouth to asked if he's got any tattoos but Hugo beat him to it and spoke again, "And maybe the way we're calling you"
Darren bit his tongue and stealthily played with it, he wanted to ask what tattoos he has. But like he said, he's a whole new person. He cannot go admiring one view and then going on appreciating its brother.
Like eww. He doesn't swing like that. Geez, there's no way he'll swing both ways. He knows he's worthy of people's hearts but they're twins. If he's looking at Hugo, he's seeing another version of Tim and if he's staring at Tim, he's seeing a different version of Hugo.
So, there's no way he'll admire both. Duh. Like can you imagine him being as delusional like before and going on drooling at gorgeous men?
And Hugo is his lawyer. He cannot be admiring a man who's offering his services.
And they just met. Calm down Darren.
He probably need to renew his mind, his feelings, his nerves, his brain cells, and everything that's making him think whatever he is thinking.
"Fine. But I'll have you know Hugo that googoo sounds like the one made by a drowning kid on pool"

"Like I said, we're starting with Henri"
Darren's eyebrows creased and gaped at him, "Why are you adding that idiot in this conversation? Did he commit treason? Robbery in my house?"
"He's older than me by five minutes"
Darren nodded, "Alright. Let me grab my notebook and list this nonsense."
He said before he can even control what comes out of his mouth and thankfully, Hugo, didn't take any offense because he merely shrugged, "So technically, he's the eldest and so the heir of our father's title" he continued.
"Let me guess, he's like the runaway prince who wants to live normally?" he sarcastically said and Hugo nodded.
"He has this inclination to fucking tropes. So, yes. he's a runaway prince wishing to have his own life. Hungry for it, actually"
He slightly felt bad of all the things he had said when he was insisting to try the washer and have fun with it. Tim really had a childhood deficiency. He didn't have his own life and didn't have a control for it?
Ey, the blue bloods have some manipulations going on. Uh oh.
"And you're living lavishly?" he judged.
"My life is out of the equation" Hugo answered seriously.
Darren sighed, "What's the connection of him and and my case?"
"There's none obviously. But I am here to take your case and for you to take mine" he paused as they both stared through each other's eyes, "That fucker is definitely enamoured by your charm and I'm pretty fucking sure he'll listen to you"
"This is his life we're talking about. How sure are you that he'll listen to me?" he asked raising an eyebrow, ignoring his statement about Tim being enamoured because he's very much aware how charming and great he is but wouldn't indulge with the idea.
"He won't stay here and try to convince me to take your case if he's not charmed." there was something wrong in here.
This is a stab in the back. This is a betrayal. He realized he'll be holding a knife if he'll gonna accept this deal. He's hanging himself off of a cliff and this game is dangerous.
Hugo is playing his cards and Darren should definitely be using his own stack. He didn't order Lily and Lee to try to find him for this. . . proposal. He stared at Hugo seriously and tried his beginner skills in reading him, trying to uncover something but he was hard to crack.
He's wearing this perfectly sculpted mask and having to use it so cleverly and smartly have caused it to blend so perfectly in his face and actions. And for Darren, this is the difference between them both.
Tim smiles truthfully and is carefree with who he is , his eyes are intense but laid back and are hard to break into because he is assured of his own identity and is untroubled with people staring at him.  
While Hugo is serious and shifting between his seriousness and turns into mockery when necessary. Darren just met him yesterday but he has his guesses from having to depend on his judgment skills (and take note, Darren is mostly made up of water and his own conclusions).  
Darren can see it from his spot that his eyes are hard to read because he had mastered the art of hiding and have become his own charlatan when needed.
And he's not really sure he can agree to what Hugo wants when he can see how he is such a threat to society and in Darren's sanity and simply have become the own definition of hazard. And also, Darren might not possess the guts to betray someone who had tried to help him despite the lies he had said.
"I can assure your house arrest be lifted off in days and deal with your parents immediately after and in turn, I want you to convince him to go back to France in any and every way you fucking can"

What started off as an unexpected guest gradually became so much more. Darren Chu is under house arrest and fretting with a desire to win his case when a man came knocking on his door for a place to stay.

Timothee William is flirty, shameless, and sexy. He’s got this laid back aura and mouth-watering winks but a trashy mouth. It definitely didn't help that he was full of hot curses and mind-bending, lust-raising, sexy tattoos that obscure Darren’s view from what he should be really worrying about.

When it came to the day he has to choose, he was torn and yet he was moved. A character for a character. A man for a man. A challenge for a challenge. A love for hate and a prince for a prince. Will Darren be able to overcome things thrown in his way? Or will he find comfort in someone he did not expect?
