Let´s turn the clock back a little before Irene released the seal.
Tia, Wendy and Grandeeney were waiting at the edge of the village for the arrival of the two dragons.
"Don´t you two want to see the release of the seal with the others? You don´t have to wait with me.", said Tia to Wendy who stood beside her and was holding her rope.
Wendy looked up towards Tia with a smile and said, "If you are not going then I will not go as well."
She became quite attached towards Tia, which made Tia at the same time happy and worried.
Happy, because that meant that Tia could spent time with her only living relative and worried, because she would only stick to Tia and Grandeeney, which meant that both of them had to be near Wendy at all time.
Which in itself was no problem, but Tia had also a lot of work and responsibility in the village.
Tia was responsible for inventory management and their trade management.
The biggest problem in all of that was the massive amount of food that the dragon slayers, including herself, ate every day.
They needed so much that the majority of their money was spent on food alone.
As for the wildlife, they needed to plan on the long term if they wanted to rely on the forest, which is why that hunting in the forest was strictly regulated, with Challot, Emrissen, Aversia and Zeldaris being the only exceptions and mostly because they were hunting the top predators or so far away that it didn´t influence the area around the village.
But nonetheless the job was taxing.
As for why Tia was waiting for the arrival of the new dragons and dragon slayers, because the dragons were able to feel their precense and said that they would arrive shortly.
They were already waiting for almost twenty minutes.
Grandeeney, who was sitting behind them, said," Is it really such an interesting thing to watch. I mean it is just watching two kids being lit on fire."
"In theory it is not much different, but it is still interesting.", said Tia.
"Well we might be able to see the ending, because they are here.", said Grandeeney, while pointing at the sky.
A few moments later, two shadows appeared at the horizon and became bigger with every second.
It took another 5 minutes until they landed before the three.
"May I introduce to you Weisslogia and Skiadrum.", said Grandeeney.
Weisslogia was a white dragon that had a long beard, two antlers growing on top of his head and hair growing down his spine and his tail.
His wings were feathery and resembled those of an angel.
Skiadrum on the other hand was a black dragon.
He had a short beard made out of shadows, two horns growing on top of his head and a mane made out of shadows growing between his horns and growing down his spine and tail.
His wings were also covered in shadows, but the most bizarre thing were his eyes.
They had no pupils and were just read.
On top of them were two children and a figure clad in ropes.
The child on top of Weisslogia was a boy around the same age as Wendy.
He had blonde spiky hair and wore brown pants and a white shirt.
His name was Sting.
The child on top of Skiadrum had black hair that covered his right side.
Everything he wore was black and no matter how you looked at him he gave a depressing feeling.
His name was Rogue.
The third person discarded her ropes and revealed a young woman.
She had long blond hair that was kept in a ponytail.
Her body was comparable to Irene, Challot and Emrissen.
Her clothes were that of a scholar, wide ropes that covered her entire body.
This was Anna Heartfilia, member of the Heartfilia clan and user of all twelve Zodiac keys.
"My name is Tia Marvell and I welcome you all to our village. I am sorry to say that lady Irene was needed somewhere else and was unable to welcome you. Your journey must have been long and residences for you all have been prepared, but I would like to suggest that you should first pay a visit to the town square. Your comrades are waiting for you there and we should be able to see the rest of …."
Tia was interrupted by two loud roars that filled the air.
Sting, Rogue, Wendy, Anna and Tia held their ears in agony.
Tia tried to use an enchantment that would nullify the effect on them, but she needed multiple tries, because she couldn´t concentrate properly.
After at least a dozen tries she finally managed to pull it off.
Tia and Anna inspected the children, to make sure that they were ok.
"The origin comes from the town square. Tia what is going on?", asked Grandeeney.
"It´s the worst-case scenario. You all stay back and watch the children. I need to go back to lady Irene and help her with confining their energy, or we will all die."
"We can help.", said Weisslogia.
"Challot, Emrissen, Belserion, Igneel and Metalicana are there, together with Vulcan and Irene. We don´t need more dragons, what we need are enchanters and even if we needed more dragons. Almost every dragon slayer on this world is in this village. I believe that should be enough and I need you to watch the children.", said Tia in a tone that didn´t allow even the dragons to talk back.
"Let me assist you. I am not an enchanter, but my celestial spirit magic may be helpful.", said Anna.
Tia thought for a second and nodded.
As the two were starting to run, used Tia an enchantment that made them move much faster.
Even with the enchantment, it took the two almost two minutes to arrive at the center of the village.
What they saw, surprised them.
Belserion, Challot and Emrissen, in their dragon form, were surrounding the platform together with Igneel and Metalicana.
Irene, Vulcan and a few other enchanters were maintaining spells that protected the villagers.
And in the middle of all that stood two dragons made out of grey flames and surrounded by a inferno of grey flames.
Normally that would not be enough to shock Tia, Irene or anyone else that watched the previous releases, but this time the eyes of the dragons were glowing golden and the dragons had a bipedal stand.
The last times the dragons had no real eyes and were not standing on two legs, which was never seen with dragons.
But the most important difference was the power that the two dragons radiated.
It easily surpassed the previous times put together.
"Lady Irene, what happened?", asked Tia when they arrived at Irene´s side.
Irene took only a short glance at the two women, before returning to her spell.
"Everything was peace full. The two of them were engulfed by their flames and that´s it. But suddenly, the flames expanded rapidly and covered the entire platform and formed the current dragon forms.", said Irene.
"We underestimate the power of them and Belserion, Challot, Emrissen, Igneel and Metalicana said almost at the same time that something is wrong. They said that they can feel an ancient entity inside the flames and now we search for a way to seal it again.", said Vulcan.
Anna and Tia wanted to say something, but the yelling of both Aversia and Zeldaris could be heard.
The flames started to flow towards the flaming dragons and they themself started to dissolve.
They struggled franticly, but it was to no avail.
As the dragon kept struggling, a pair of wings appeared out of both dragons.
"BEGONE!!", yelled two voices and scattered the flaming dragons, reveling Aversia and Zeldaris.
Both Aversia and Zeldaris continued to absorb the scattered remains of the dragons and the see of chaos flames.
The energy flowed like rivers towards and around the two.
Everyone could only watch in shock and awe as the energy was absorbed by the two half dragons.
Challot and Emrissen, who were finally relaxing, started to laugh out loud in relieve.

I suck at writting a synopsis, so I am going to explain the premis of the story.
The story has two Mc´s Zeldaris and Aversia, both of them are half dragons and are born a few years before the dragon king festival and the creation of the dragon slayers.
They will travel with Natsu and the other dragon slayers into the future and will also join Fairy Tail.
This is my first time writing, so iwould appriciate if you could point out my mistakes.
Updates will be 1 chapter a week.


Prologue

Evolution. That is what scientists called it when a child at the age of 10 exhibited supernatural abilities. The child was capable of jumping twenty feet into the air and land without injury. That was the extent of the child's power, but that in of itself shocking to the world. Many people over the centuries shown strange levels of strength, but nothing of this magnitude. This caused an uproar all around the world, and after further investigation, many other children started producing random powers. Scientists came to the conclusion that any child born in the year of 2020 or later would possibly be part of the next evolution of humanity.
These powers brought out the best and the worst in people around the globe. Many countries started piling up data on people with powers and listed them in ranks from F to S in strength. Many countries fought over people. But thankfully, none went to war with another simply because the risk would be astronomical.
After several years, people with power would have their own children. Most of the time the children would inherit one of their parents power, sometimes a combination of the two. This ended up causing even more strife amongst the population of the world. Many people resorted to a life of crime and labelled themselves villains. They would sometimes for syndicates to amass like minded individuals to help them try and rule the world.
Then came in the people who saw themselves as equals to not only people with power, but to those without. These people were called heroes. They had equal strength, sometimes even more, than that of the villains and would do anything they could to stop them in their tracks. The heroes would fight tooth and nail to protect the societies they grew to love and care about.
This brought about the Hero Association. They worked with the local governments to protect the citizens. If average police officers couldn't handle a situation, a hero would be called to take care of it.
When the year hit 2070, schools were formed to help children become heroes. After 28 years had passed, there was a ranking system built into the schools as well. The top tier schools would only allow the best of the best to participate since they would be taught be former top heroes.

This is where my story starts.

PART 1: My name is Levin Vera

When I hit 10 years of age, I was overwhelmed with joy. My power finally awakened. I was with my parents, we were at home since it could have been dangerous if I awakened something dangerous around many people. The first thing I noticed was that I could feel electricity in the air. I waved my hands and felt it. I could feel the course of electricity that was moving around my hands.
The next thing I did was picking up a bat and baseball. I put them together and felt a weird connection. I let go of the ball and it stayed connected to the bat. This was the magnetism that my father was capable of. Even if the item wasn't capable of being magnetized to something, this power forced it to. I couldn't keep it up for long, but the excitement I exhibited caused my parents to smile in response.
"That's amazing! He has both of our powers, isn't that amazing, dear?"
My mother, just like usual, was fawning over me. I loved it though.
"It's incredible. With his high test scores on top of that, I bet we could see our son attending one of the top schools in the United States."
Of course my father had high hopes for me. "Mom, dad, I want to make you proud. I applied to the one in California. It is the only one that accepts academic performance over abilities."
"Let's celebrate! We can go get your favorite food and buy a movie or two! I'm so happy that you have both of our powers! Now if you are accepted, then that will cause for an even greater celebration!"

Eight months had passed since my birthdate. In that time I had graduated the 5th grade, and was training my new powers. I had been accepted to the Magic Academy of Arts in California. In the ranking system, they were placed 7th on the list. They were in the top ten, not only for academic success but for the strength of their students. Every few years they would have a class that would surpass the other schools in competitions.
 I would be starting my first day of school there soon. I had finished unpacking everything in my dorm room. I talked to my parents for a few minutes, got into my school clothes, and left my dorm and headed towards my classroom. I was heading for class 1-F. The classroom of misfits. The group of students who didn't excel with their power, or those who were just not cut out for the classrooms of their ranks. I was ranked F based on my ability. I was weak. I knew that, but I wouldn't let my weakness control me. I would excel in my academics and become stronger. I would hone my abilities and show everyone that someone who is ranked F can surpass someone who is ranked S.

I arrived at my class and walked through the door. I looked around the room and noticed that there were only 7 other people besides me. I stood at the front of the class not knowing exactly what to do.
"Hey kid, state your name, rank, and reason for attending this school."
I nearly jumped out of my skin. I was nervous and forgot that there was a teacher in the room. He looked at me with eyes as sharp as a hawks. I collected myself and smiled at him and did a small bow before facing the rest of the class.
"It is nice to meet you all. My name is Levin Vera. I am rank F. I am attending this school for two reasons. The first reason is to become academically successful. The second reason, is probably a little ambitious, but I will do it. I will prove that a rank F student can achieve and surpass S rank."

The year is 2088. It has been 68 years since supernatural abilities in people started showing up.
I was born to parents who had weak abilities. My mother had the power to conduct and control electricity, but it was quite weak. My father had the power to magnetize most objects, but just like my mother, his power was weak.

After I turned 10 years old, my power finally blossomed. I had a combination of my parents power, but just like them, I was weak. I didn't have the control like my mother, or the magnetism strength of my father. It seemed as if my power would do nothing but hold me back. I was what many would call a misfit. Not many people would want to associate with me simply because of that.

My name is Levin, and this is a story of how I became the strongest person on Earth!



4 – The Cave (1)


 

Of all the types of training that had happened so far, none were quite as cruel as this one .

It was precisely because of the mental and physical fatigue piled on with wariness amongst the other children . It was the first time they had been pitted against each other in anything like a competition .

Among all the peaks in the Cult of the Heavenly Demon, the mountain that was selected this time, was one of the steepest in the entire domain .

It was so high up, that it seemed like the very peak of the mountain was about to pierce the heavens themselves .

Not only that, but the road was one of the most dangerous ones for the children to climb . The rocks were hard to grip and had no real solid footholds .

"Hoot . hoot . "

For any 10-11 year old climbing this mountain with lumps of metal on their limbs and not using any internal qi, this was a nigh impossible task .

But, not everybody here was average .

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

A boy next to Woon Seong had just lost his hold and rolled off the slope and landed on a patch of ground a few feet below .

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Although he was not seriously injured, his wound looked serious .

Woon Seong looked back and silently started to climb the mountain again .

In fact, he felt like he was about to die, too .

He refused to use his internal qi as a shortcut, and the body of No . 900 was still incredibly lacking despite the small changes he had undergone through the Heavenward Soul Earthen Body technique .

"Hoo- hah, hoo- hah . "

His hands and fingers were bleeding a bit, as the blisters on them popped . His lungs felt like they were burning .

The hem of Woon Seong's clothes was drenched with sweat, which only restricted his movement even more .

He really wanted to take a break right now .

'No, I can't rest right now . '

Woon Seong knew that if he rested here, his mind and body would get so relaxed, that he wouldn't even continue to climb after he stopped .

Therefore, he steeled his mind and decided he would allow himself some rest once he reached the top and got a flag first .


Woon Seong just kept the image of his master in his head fresh every time he took a step up the mountain, and gritted his teeth with determination .

However, being strong-willed and suffering from physical exhaustion were slightly different issues .

Woon Seong climbed the mountain, biting his lips to the point of bleeding . As he was getting close to the top of the mountain he was almost crawling on all fours .

It wasn't just him though .

Almost all the children who were near the summit were at the point of climbing on all fours .

It was that difficult to endure .

The one silver lining in all of this, was that Woon Seong had fulfilled his promise to himself and not stopped once for rest until he would reach the top .

"Huhu, Hahaha . "

Woon Seong finally had reached the top, pulled out a flag and laid sprawled out on the floor to rest his body for a bit .

Fortunately, it was a large space at the summit to rest and about 50 other children were sitting or lying down resting their exhausted bodies next to their flags .

'I definitely feel like I'm dying again ahah . '

Woon Seong started to regulate his breathing and regain his stamina as fast as he could .

As he finally was at the summit, he could feel the cool breeze hit his skin and start to cool down his clothes .

It was good to rest, but if he stayed too long his clothes drenched in sweat would get cold .

'I have to go down quickly . '

There was even a time limit for this test, so he couldn't afford to rest more than a few minutes .

During the time he gave himself to rest, Woon Seong stretched his limbs that were sore and tried to regain as much stamina as possible before heading back down .

As Woon Seong was examining his body's condition, he darted his eyes to see how many flags were left .

There were about 30 flags left, excluding the one already in his hands .

'If the amount of flags gets thin, the last ones to reach the mountaintop will fight for the flags . '

It was just another reason for Woon Seong to leave and go down the mountain quickly .

If he stayed here, he would get caught up in a fight .

Sure enough .

The flags quickly ran out, and the children who came up late started to fight the ones with flags in their hands, trying to steal them .

Of course, Woon Seong had just slipped out before that started .

'Hm… . '

Perhaps because Woon Seong took a short break, it felt like his muscles were a little rejuvenated and the way down was much easier .

What was even more interesting to him was the way he was descending down the mountain .

'Long flags are a problem for other kids to carry, but not for me . '

If the mountain is steep, it was harder to go down than to go up since you could slip and seriously injure yourself with your exhausted muscles .

On top of that, if you had to take a long flag in addition to the iron bracers, it became increasingly difficult to maintain one's sense of gravity .

However, this common sense was being broken by Woon Seong . It was quite comical if one looked at him going down the mountain .

He sprinted down the mountain using the flag like a spear, flipping, turning and gliding through the air multiple times as he speedily moved down the mountain with ease .

Tadak-Tadak-Tadak-

Woon Seong maneuvered the flagpole brilliantly and used the swiftness to cut some of the branches and twigs that hindered his view .

Woon Seong cut in from one of the side routes he was taking and went down the open road inbetween .

In a situation where one could have slipped, the only thing that could be seen was circular imprints from Woon Seong's flagpole as he flew down .

Toong-

He used the rebound of the force in the flagpole to propel him even faster .

It was absolutely incredible just how nimble he was . Anybody watching could tell Woon Seong in the body of No . 900 was incredible with a spear in his hand, just based on how he maneuvered with the long flagpole .

'It shouldn't be that hard to get down . '

It was natural for a smile to hang around the mouth of Woon Seong as he felt free like a bird with something resembling a spear in his hand .

However, the smile soon disappeared from Woon Seong's lips .

It was around the time he was about to arrive at the bottom of the mountain where the instructor was .

"Hey, leave your flag behind and get lost!"

A sudden voice shouted out at him in Woon Seong's direction .

Woon Seong slowed his movements and gradually came to a stop .

Comparing No . 900's body to the body of the boy who had just shouted at Woon Seong was hilarious to most if they saw this . The boy was a head taller, wider and had a much deeper voice than Woon Seong in No . 900's body .

As Woon Seong stopped in place and glanced at him with indifference, No . 185's face contorted in anger and pointed with his two fingers at Woon Seong .

"Didn't you hear me? The flag in your hand, leave it and buzz off you mongrel!"

Woon Seong's look of indifference disappeared and he looked at him, like he was looking at a fool and laughed .

The children gathered in the Cave of Latent Demons were in the ages between 10-15 years old

To Woon Seong, a mere height difference and deeper voice was a complete joke to him .

With a flagpole in his hand that could be used like a spear, it was borderline insanity for No . 185 to try and pick a fight with him .

But, it wasn't like No . 185 could possibly think that the boy in front of him could be the worst choice to try and rob . He, No . 185, who was used to intimidating others with his size and weight thought this would be easy even if things had to get physical .

In the Cave of Latent Demons, the children brought there didn't have such easy lives before they came there, so it wasn't as if No . 185 didn't know how to fight .

'I bet you've probably grown up thinking size and intimidation is the easiest way to get the things in life that you want . ', Woon Seong thought .

He wasn't wrong, seeing how No . 185 was acting right now .

"Oh, this is funny to you?"

It seemed No . 185 had his pride hurt, as Woon Seong blatantly laughed at him .

Woon Seong boldly walked right up to No . 185 and sized him up .

looking at No . 185, Woon Seong spoke with a cold smile .

"What a fucking idiot . You ever heard of picking on somebody your own size?"

It was such a cold laugh that Woon Seong's canine teeth were revealed .

Woon Seong glared at No . 185 .

He already knew why No . 185 chose to try and rob him .

The ones who came down earlier than him were the ones who had continuously proved themselves to be elites among the elites here, and he didn't want to fight them .

After those elites had passed, No . 185 was just waiting for the next person with a flag to show up since he was confident in beating them as long as they weren't at the level who had shown up earlier .

No . 185 didn't want to try his luck fighting against the other elite talents, even though he was technically an elite himself . He was just looking for an easy person to beat up, rob and get his breakfast .

And it just so happened the next one to come down the mountain was No . 900 .

To No . 185, No . 900 seemed to have non-existent talent, physique and strength . He assumed Woon Seong probably got the flag through sheer dumb luck .

'That's why he made a move on me . '

Because Woon Seong knew exactly what this bastard's thought process was, he couldn't just sit still and rather decided to beat him down here and now .

No . 185's morality and behavior was incredibly hypocritical . Bowing down to the strong and beating up on the weak, just because he could .

For some reason a bitter memory surfaced as Woon Seong thought of this .

"What did you say to me?"

No . 185 approached Woon Seong with an incredibly irritated expression .

From his point of view, meeting No . 900 was an absolute fortune .

Sure, No . 900 was doing alright these past few days, but he used to always beg and grovel like a bug half a year ago .

He was small and rarely talked to other children, so he was clearly an easy prey .

No . 185 didn't know how he came down quickly, but he pretty much knew that he must be exhausted .

So he had thought that if he threatened that bug a little bit, he would put the flag down quietly and obediently .

But what the hell was this?

Some half-wit who was ranked in the 900's was talking back to him? Him, who was ranked in the 100's?

Thinking about that fact, No . 185 couldn't hold back his anger and shouted loudly .

"What did you say? AAH!"

Cuckoo-

But he didn't know .

Even before No . 185 could process what was happening, the flagpole in the hands of Woon Seong was swung around .

It was a blow with the might of 7 . 5 kgs in both of his hands .

The wooden flagpole smacked the temple of No . 185 .

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

No . 185 was holding his bleeding temple, jumped to his feet .

"You bastard!"

Then he swung his big fist right in front of Woon Seong .

But there was something that  No . 185 couldn't possibly know . Sure the body was that of No . 900 . But the soul was from a person that had reached the Transcendence Realm in his past life, using the spear .

Boo-woong-

Woon Seong casually avoided the blows from No . 185 very easily by taking a step back and shifting his center of gravity just a bit .

Boomph!

The flagpole had moved so fast No . 185 couldn't even see the movement, and struck No . 185's ribs incredibly hard .

"Uh-Urk!"

No . 185 was beaten down and his ribs were definitely broken as he was forced to kneel on the spot and gasp for air .

But that wasn't even the end of it from Woon Seong .

Puck-

Taking advantage of the fact No . 185 was forced to kneel, Woon Seong mercilessly and brutally crushed No . 185's ankles .

"Ack!"

No . 185 fell on the spot as he stretched out his legs one after another and rolled his feet .

It was fortunate that he didn't hit his head against the big tree behind him, but... .

Thud!

Before No . 185 knew it, the flagpole in the hands of Woon Seong was pressing down on the chest of No . 185 coldly .

"I bet you felt good being beating up the weaker kids than you, didn't you?"

At the question of Woon Seong, No . 185  lips trembled and dared not open his mouth .

He was so afraid of No . 900 right now that he felt as if he were the one that was a head shorter in height .

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . "

Looking at his trembling expression, Woon Seong lifted up the flagpole in his hand .

Then, he grabbed the flagpole firmly as if he was about to drop it .

"No!! Please!!!"

No . 185  couldn't even move from his position and prayed to Woon Seong to spare him with a trembling voice .

No . 185 was only eleven years old .

It wasn't too young, but it was also not that old .

He wasn't at the age where he could clearly distinguish what it meant to be good or evil . He was old enough to pick on others and feel good about it, but he still had the chance to change his ways .

And trying to take Woon Seong's flag was not a sin worthy of death .

Of course, it was a sin big enough to warrant death if this was in another place and he was of a different age .

"I'll let you live . But . . "

That didn't mean Woon Seong would just let him go though .

Furthermore, Woon Seong was not a just man either . At least not in this life, he couldn't be . Not only that, but if it were the other way around, he might have been killed without being able to fulfill his revenge for his master .

"You have to be punished . "

Woon Seong lifted the flagpole in his hand high .

"So far, You've done nothing but pretend to be strong and do what you want to do to those who are weaker than you . You were probably sure that you would steal a flag off somebody weaker than you today as well . But now, maybe you'll be able to know what it's like to be the one on the receiving end of being weak . "

"Come on, come on!"

No . 185 cried and pleaded with Woon Seong, but there was no mercy in the hands of Woon Seong whatsoever .

Qua-ric!

With the powerful impact of hitting his forearm, No . 185  lost consciousness .

But before No . 185 had lost consciousness, Woon Seong leaned in close and whispered to him some parting words .

"There won't be a second time . "

At that voice, No . 185  trembled in utmost fear before losing consciousness .

Some  said: I have always thought that this would be a commercial film that was wearing the facade of charity and helping the poor. However, I realised that I had made a huge mistake after watching it.
I hope that our country's films will be commercial films if they will be something like this. This film doesn't feature any love relationship. It doesn't even have a male protagonist. It also doesn't have any twists and turns of plot. It is so calm, and it is the exact reason why everyone is glued to the screen for it.
Some also said: I have always thought of myself as someone who doesn't cry easily. No matter how tragic the story in the film was, I would tell myself that it is fake. Then I wouldn't even shed a tear.
My eyes were stinging after watching "University Dream", though I managed to hold back my tears. The film captured the magnificence of the deep mountains. It portrayed the insignificance and hardship of the children living in the slums in the mountains better.
There were almost no negative reviews for the film. Was "University Dream" really that flawless?
Not exactly. It was because no one could bring themselves to criticize it. It was like a soft prick that prickled the deepest parts of the audience's hearts. They didn't dare touch it because it would hurt.
Not when they watched Xia Hong's whole life from start to finish. When they saw where Xia Hong lived in; when they saw the troubles that Xia Hong had to go through just to study; when they saw how Xia Hong kept moving forward no matter what was thrown at her; when they saw Xia Hong lose everything but still manage to achieve her dreams in spite of everything. However, she lost her life just as it was completed.

Eliot Lake was quiet as they drove down the empty main street.  A small town, only the Blue Moon Diner was open that late.  They continued toward Lake Miranda and the lodge, chatting as they did about nothing in particular, occasionally reaching to grasp one anothers hand.

As they approached the turnoff for Lake Miranda Lodge, Jackie noticed an odd glow on the horizon.  It struck her as unusual; their compound was the only civilization for miles in any direction, and with the lodge virtually shut down, the forest should have been dark, lit only by the moon and stars.

Jackies heart ticked faster, and tendrils of anxiety wrapped around her stomach as the truck rounded a bend and she saw flashing red lights reflected against the dark pine forest lining the lodges gravel drive.

Scott glanced at Jackie with a frown.  Whats going on?

Now the air was thick with wood smoke.  Around the next turn, they came face to face with a collection of emergency vehicles, all with their lights flashing.

To their left, amid charred trees and brush, they could see the smoldering remains of Cabin 1.

A firefighter in full turn-out gear moved into the middle of the drive, blocking their way.  We need you folks to stay back, he told them waving his arms.  

Stay back?  Where are my children? Jackie asked, starting to open her door.

Hang on a second, Jackie, Scott said, throwing the truck into reverse and parking alongside the drive a short distance from the first fire truck.

Jackie pushed open the door and marched down the middle of the drive, Scott on her heels.

Where are my children? she repeated, more shrilly this time.

Jackie!  Blake trotted over to meet them.  Black was smeared across his face and his shirt was covered in soot and ash.  

Blake, where are the kids? Jackie shrieked, unable to work out why no one would answer her question.

He placed a hand on her arm.  Theyre fine, he soothed, Amy took them to the island.  Theyre absolutely fine.

I want my children!  She looked wildly from Blake to Scott and back again.  

Its okay, Jackie, Scott murmured.  Lets go get them.

As the firefighters attacked a few remaining hot spots, the trio made their way to the dock where they selected a skiff and got in.  Blake started the motor as Scott cast off before he joined Jackie on the middle seat.  He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her rigid body tightly to his side, as she struggled to keep herself together.  

How did this happen? she demanded over the sound of the outboard motor.

Blake shrugged, his lips a grim line.  Those trespassers came back.  I caught them just outside the lodge.  I made them leave, but they must have tossed out their cigarette butts again.  With everything as dry as its been  He shook his head sadly.

Looking to Scott, he added, Cabin 1 was the first to go up.  Im sorry, man.  I couldnt save anything inside.

Jackie felt him hug her more tightly to himself as Scott shook his head.  Thats the last thing you need to worry about.  Ill be fine.  Im worried about you all.

Halfway between the mainland and the island, Jackie could see Amy and the children huddled together on the dock.  She took a deep cleansing breath.  One cabin is not a tragedy.  Well just rebuild it.

Blake blinked.  Jacks  We lost six cabins.  And were lucky thats all it is.  The woods went up like dry tinder.

Jackie began to shake and mentally cursed herself as the night spiraled further out of her control.  The last thing she wanted was for Scott to see her as a needy female.  

He hugged her to his side again.  Its going to be okay, he murmured, kissing the top of her head.

When they were close enough to the dock, Jackie stood and bounded out of the boat, rushing to embrace Emma and Grant.  

Mommy, there was a fire, Emma cried, hugging her mother tightly.

How ya doing, little man? Blake asked Grant, whose eyes were as big as saucers.

I wasnt scared, the boy said, but he clutched at Jackie anyway.

Blake reached down to ruffle the boys hair with one hand, and reached for Amy with the other, pulling her close.

Oh, Daddy, I was so worried about you, she murmured.

I know, kitten, Blake responded, but Im fine.

Scott approached Jackie.  How about we get you and the kids home?

She looked up to him gratefully.  Yes, she nodded, lets go home.  Its way past bedtime.

Scott stepped into the skiff theyd just arrived in and held out his hand to Jackie.  Blake handed her the children one at a time, and she and Grant and Emma settled on the center seat as Scott took his place at the stern and started the motor.

Blake held up a hand in a wave.  Well take Amys boat back and see you there.

Pulling the kids to her side much as Scott had done to her on their way to the island, Jackie thanked the heavens that everyone was alright.  She blinked back tears as she looked to Scott who gave her a grim smile.  

Once back at the lodge, she left Scott in the kitchen as she hurried the children upstairs for quick baths and an abbreviated bedtime routine.  As exhausted as they were, they didnt even complain about skipping a story.  She switched on the nightlight in each room, tucked them into their own beds, and stopped in the hall, where she leaned against the wall and gave in to the tears that shed fought to hide from the kids.

A few minutes later, she pulled herself to together and made her way downstairs.

I just cant believe it.  Jackies voice was raw from sobbing.  Weve lost six cabins.  Cabins that are booked three weeks from now.  And we cant even rent out the others until we pass an inspection.

The insurance will come through.  Well see how much that will pay and well rebuild.  Blake was calmly pragmatic.  Hed taken a quick shower to wash off the smoke and soot.  His damp hair hung to his shoulders.  Amy hadnt stopped clinging to him since hed sat down at the table.

But Blake  Start over?  Were losing the entire summer.  What are we going to do?

As her tears returned, Scott wrapped a protective arm around her shoulders and murmured to her softly.

Let me help, Amy blurted.  

No.  We cant borrow money from you.  Jackie was quick and decisive.

Im not talking about a loan.  I want in.  Make me a partner.

A partner?  Blake sounded surprised.

Amy reached across the table and took Jackies hand.  Remember all those things you said youd like to do with the place?  Now is your chance.  We could start tomorrow, get architects and contractors on board, start planning the revamping of Lake Miranda Lodge.

Jackie sniffed and sat up, feeling a ray of hope for the first time since shed arrived home.  I did want to make a few upgrades.  But we lost all those cabins.

Amy shrugged.  So, we rebuild them, better than before.  We could even build a bunkhouse for the wilderness school clients.  She looked at Scott.  That way, they dont take up guest cabins, and theres always room for them.

Blake leaned back in his chair as a slow smile stretched across his face.  Im beginning to like this idea.  Youd really want to partner with us?

You guys are the family Ive never had.  I still cant think about when I have to leave here, but, her voice broke, knowing that Im part of the business, knowing that I belong here  She trailed off.

Blake pulled her onto his lap and wrapped her in his arms.  I love you so much.

To partners!  Scott lifted his bottle of Labatt in a toast.

A slow smile spread across Jackies face as she considered Amys plan.  Partners.

It just amazes me that Marinah doesnt see it.
      She drives her elbow into my neck, and a loud grunt explodes from my chest. She lifts her waist and scissors my legs between her legs, bending her knees and pretzeling my lower body. I twist and bring one leg up high and push it into her crotch while pushing on her shoulder and grabbing her opposite arm.

"What was that?! did an ancient beast come to life?!" She asked and I shook my head. "Your probably scaring yourself, you don`t wonder in this place filled with corpses." I said smiling, she maybe not feel it comes to me, after all she`s young and inexperienced in battle, all her life she only fought those beasts.
"Your too young to understand few things, stay the way you are for now." I said in my head before I rub her head and look at what the Little Dragon`s gazing and I saw two bodies near each other and looks like sleeping.
"They are the Goddess of Ice and The God of Water and Sea, the husband and wife who tried to kill each other with passion." The Little Dragon said, this corpse has their own story but it doesn`t matter to me.

"It`s been ages since I use this power, Underworld`s Fire!" I said and pointed my finger to the ice and fire looks like a snake and attack the ice walls where they are frozen, I saw from the side of my eye how shock the Little Dragon is.
"Even my sister`s fire can`t extinguish those ice, how come you can melt them like that?!" She said and I smile. "The Minokawa has the same flame as this, the Underworld` Fire, only those who baptized by the flame of the Underworld can have this flame, it is also known as tribulation of the Underworld and when you complete the baptism of the underworld, you will become a Child of the Underworld, the cycle of reincarnation will lost it`s control to you, and you will become immortal, but dying as a child of the underworld means that ones you meet your demise there is not second life it`s a permanent death." I said then I stop the Flame and pull the two corpse and throw them in the Ice Dragon`s foot and look at it.
Their divinity is similar yet different to the Three World`s Gods and Goddesses, this is really a different world, of course since this bodies are precious I read their memory, although it was hazy soon it becomes clear and I shook my head.

"Your job isn`t yet over, my faithful children. Rise from your eternal slumber and serve your Lord ones more." I said and soon a mark appear in their head then they both open their eyes and start stretching their body.
"The Lord of the Demon Goats, and the Wrath of Hell, how are you my dear Satan?" I said smiling and he also smile and nod. "I am fine your majesty, let this foolish being serve you ones more." Satan said, Satan is like my butler, ones I rise to the Throne as the Demon Lord... No before I become the demon lord he always in my side always doing all my bid, you could say his the man who is like my shadow.
"Of course, Serving me that long is too short after all, serve me with perfection ones more." I said and he bow down and I saw how he his gripped become harder. "Yes, I will not make the same mistake in the past, I`ll protect his majesty to my fullest." He said and I look at the girl who`s still yawning and has a lazy look in her eyes.
"My most prideful creation how are you? Did I disturb you from your deep slumber?" I said and she simply shook her head. "Your majesty, this lady of pride will never think of you as a nuisance, your order is my top priority, as you named my Lucia, the Lady of Pride and the Legion commander of those who has fallen from heaven." She said and kneel to the ground, and even kiss my right hand to show her loyalty.
I look back to the melted ice and get the items the old God and Goddess probably owned and give them, the one is a sword and the other is a spear.
"I never Imagine those weapons of the divine can be given like it was your ordinary soon to rot cabbage in the market." The Little Dragon said and look at them both and she looked awkward. "You two take your real form, the other children is still in the town, they would probably rejoice in joy when they see you two." I said and they both smile and stand at my back.
"Time to go home now." I said but the Little Dragon tug my shirt, why is everyone love to tug my shirt anyway?! "You make a teleportation from this place to your town." She said and I sign, but that would be the best, soon from the melted part of the ice I am a Portal and Enter, soon we reach the town, Satan and Lucia look around and smile, whatever they are thinking, I don`t want to know.
"This is our new home, Micalagua and the other is here, they will fill you up, on all the event happened." I said and I start walking as always they follow me, god! I should give them job or else they will follow me like this till the end of time.

It was exactly like I remembered it. It seemed like I was here yesterday when it had been almost a month, I still couldn't get over that. I sat on the bed, my legs crossed while John sat close to be, his hand resting on my upper thigh. At that moment I knew what I should do (talk to him) and what I wanted to do (rip all of his clothes off). I pushed my hormonal thoughts out of my head. It was a serious talking time.

 "What do you want to talk about?" He asked I looked at him like he was crazy. "Ok, where do I start. He fact that you are the father of my children, the fact that I picked you up from jail, the fact that a raging freak tried to kill me and he knew who you were, the fact that I haven‟t heard from you in over a year almost two, the fact that your roommate has been pretending to be the father of my children. 

The fact that" He cut me off, by kissing me, just like he did before he left, back when I had just found out that I was pregnant. Instead of pulling back, or pushing him away, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him back on top of me.

 My hands went to his jeans and I smiled. This time we both remembered what we did, and it was pretty darn amazing. I woke up the next morning to something warm and heavy wrapped around my waist; I looked down and noticed that it was John‟s arm. I smiled and turned to kiss his cheek. He lazily opened his eyes, a sleepy grin on his face.

 "Good morning beautiful," he said, still half asleep. At that moment my phone went off to „Don‟t stop believing" form Glee, the TV show.
