The Thunder Valley, no one knew the origin of the valley's name, and no one knew how long the name had been passed down. For a long while, the Thunder Valley had been the habitat of the thunderbirds. Other than the lush foliage covering the peaks, the valley had characteristics that were completely different from the other places - the skeletons of various holy animals could be found everywhere.
In the nearby area, there was hardly any holy animal that could pose a threat to the thunderbirds. There were lots of Thunderbirds, they could always divide into a group that hunts and a group that defends their home. Thus, they could build their nests on the ground, generously exposed to everyone.
Perhaps it was because the thunderbirds flew up and down too frequently, no big trees could be found in the center of the valley. There were only some very low shrubs scattered around, and there was also grass growing from the cracks in the skeletons.
A female thunderbird laid about four to five eggs at a time, but not all the eggs had the opportunity to grow and hatch. The thunderbirds' nests were built on the ground, made with stones and bones, only covered with a shallow layer of bellflowers. Whenever the thunderbirds flew back to their nests, it was extremely easy for them to accidentally crack or crush the eggs. Also, the thunderbirds would never feed their own offspring. At most, they would drag their prey next to their nests. Ever since the first day in the real world, the baby thunderbirds needed to rely on their young beaks to tear up their prey, and thus the mentally or physically weak offspring would be eliminated. In the end, in a nest of baby thunderbirds, at most one or two of them would grow up into adults, and sometimes none would survive.
The sun had just risen, it was not yet the time for the thunderbirds to begin their hunt. Each of their members were in the valley, some were combing their feathers, some were screaming, and some were carefully tending to their eggs. To them, it was a very ordinary morning.
Suddenly, a figure rose from the ground like a ghost, reaching for a thunderbird nest, and the large white eggs disappeared in an instant. Each of the thunderbirds turned quiet at once, all their eyes concentrated at one place, they still had not fully realized what had just happened.
Moments later, the figure sank back into the ground again. After a while, he jumped out at the mouth of the valley and hurried into the forest.
Each thunderbird was instantly angered; one by one the thunderbirds arose from the ground, flapping their wings and chasing after the figure desperately, their angry screams echoed one after another.
The figure on the ground escaped extremely fast, but the thunderbirds soared even faster. At that moment, a very sharp and long whistle sounded, followed by a giant thunderbird shimmering with a faint red light. The sound was made by the thunderbird.
The thunderbirds gradually slowed down. They made a U-turn and flew back towards Thunder Valley. Only two of the thunderbirds continued to chase. The taunt of the figure had provoked all the thunderbirds and made them all leave their nest. This move made Thunder Valley undefended. Obviously, compared to getting revenge, they were left more worried to see Thunder Valley left empty, so most of the thunderbirds gave up their chase.
After a long while, Thunder Valley finally returned to peace. The two male and female thunderbirds lost sight of their enemies and had to return to the valley, hovering in the sky and releasing cries of grief.
Suddenly, the figure appeared once again, snatching all the eggs under the eyes of a female thunderbird. The figure then swiftly turned to avoid the female thunderbird's peck, and then disappeared underground.
This time, each of the thunderbirds entered into a crazy fit of rage, their not-so-smart minds realized that if they did not kill the enemy, all their offspring would be robbed sooner or later. One by one the thunderbirds entered into the air, like numerous golden clouds hovering, as they searched for any trails left by the enemy.
Han Jin appeared outside the valley running straight forward, the thunderbirds swarming up behind him. Seeing that the distance between the two was getting closer, Han Jin swung out the green radiance and stepped on it, then darted diagonally into the sky. Although the thunderbird's lightning was powerful, they could only lock onto enemies who were within 200 meters in range. Yalina estimated that even the thunderbird's king's attack range would not exceed 250 meters, but for safety reasons, Han Jin set the warning line at around 300 meters.
The swarm of thunderbirds was filled with anger, desperately flapping their wings and chasing closely. Within seconds, both parties had covered more than ten miles, then Han Jin suddenly dived down into a magic array, where he stopped and leaped out of the green radiance.
Yalina, who was hidden in the forest, immediately activated the magic array, causing numerous lines of electricity to envelope Han Jin.
Why the enemy had stopped was not a matter that the thunderbirds cared about, but they did realize it was a rare opportunity for them to attack! With the huge faintly glowing thunderbird in the lead, the group of thunderbirds swooped down, and countless pairs of eyes all filled with hatred locked onto Han Jin.
Yalina did not want to fight the thunderbirds because her lightning magic power would be severely weakened. Similarly, when the thunderbirds used lightning to attack the magic array set by Yalina, their power would also be greatly reduced.
The deafening booms filled the area as lines of lightning struck the magic array one after another. Although the thunderbirds did not have any unified command, their rhythm of releasing magic was irregular, and they did not understand the art of teamwork. However, their attacks still sent currents of tremors towards Han Jin who was standing in the middle, and the light curtain of the magic array was also trembling wildly.
Han Jin narrowed his eyes, observing the light curtain of the magic array nervously. The thunderbirds were each circling and desperately releasing lightning attacks one after another. Finally, the magic array could no longer withstand the nonstop attacks. Suddenly, the curtain bursted with a bang, and the electric light poured down. The explosion created a big hole in the ground.
The thunderbirds finally quietened down. The thunderbird's king swooped down with a few other thunderbirds and hovered at a low altitude of a dozen meters. They could see clearly that a big pit had appeared in the place where the enemy used to stand. The thunderbird's king then made several cries of relief and flew back to the valley with the swarm of thunderbirds.
When the thunderbirds originally left their nest, they were in hot pursuit of their enemy, thus they traveled at extremely fast speeds. On their way back, they were naturally slower. However, just as they entered the valley, each of the thunderbirds noticed a scene that made them instantly freak out. Not only had the enemy not perished, he was still boldly stealing their eggs from their nests! Nearly half of the nests were already empty.
The thunderbirds were furious, their cries seemed like a tidal eruption blasting straight into the sky. Han Jin then turned his head back and smiled, as he plunged back to the ground.
The thunderbirds swooped to the ground one by one, they were each in a state of chaos. Especially those who had lost their children, desperately flipping their nests with their beaks hoping to find an egg that had survived, but Han Jin was too careful and would not leave anything behind.
"Hey..." Han Jin stood at the mouth of the valley and shouted loudly, juggling a thunderbird egg in his hand. At that moment, 'accidentally', the thunderbird egg dropped to the ground, turning into a pool of yellow and white liquid. Moments later, Han Jin took out another thunderbird egg, gently shaking it in his hand, as he turned and ran.
The completely insane swarm of thunderbirds did not stay still for a moment longer, fighting to rise into the air. Before, whenever the thunderbirds flew or landed, there was still a certain order. The thunderbirds in the back would wait until those at the front had taken off before they did the same. However, this time, they all turned crazy, slapping each other with their wings, and bumping against each other, some even fighting to be first in the air. The uproar only stopped when the thunderbird's king screeched with a loud warning.
After all the thunderbirds had entered into the air, they discovered that their enemy had already traveled hundreds of meters ahead, so they hurriedly reacted and bolted in the enemy's direction. Each of the thunderbirds had exited their nests, even the thunderbird's king, who had forgotten the need to protect their nests. Their original silver pupils had turned blood red, staring intensely at Han Jin's back. There was only one thought left in the minds of the thunderbirds. They ought to use lightning to tear the abominable human into pieces!
Moments later, a magnificent scene occurred in the sky. The first thing that came into the onlooker's sight was a ray of green radiance, which sliced through the azure sky like a meteor, leaving a long trail behind. This was followed by an overwhelming number of thunderbirds that were unwilling to fall behind, the pairs of huge golden-yellow wings were spread out like huge golden carpets, covering up half the sky.
"This is too dramatic!" Gibran gasped as he watched, astounded. He believed they only needed a few ninth-grade magic crystals, so he was curious why Han Jin would make such a big scene.
Han Jin carefully controlled his speed. If he was too fast, the thunderbirds would not be able to keep up. If he was too slow, even if they were more than three hundred meters away, he would be in the range of the Thunderbird King. The lightning power of the Thunderbird King was not something that could be taken lightly.
Soon, Han Jin reached the second magic array set by Yalina. He then swiftly controlled his green radiance to dive down. Before Han Jin's feet touched the ground, the magic array started operating under the control of Yalina who was hiding in the distance. Above Han Jin, a thin layer of light shrouded his figure.
Yalina deserved the name of a genius magician, her timing was just right, Han Jin praised her in his heart. However, before he steadied himself, a pulse of electricity as thick as a bucket followed, striking the magic shield forcefully!
Immediately after, countless flashes of lightning struck down from the sky, and within the time of several breaths, the magic shield had already started quivering vigorously, about to break apart at any moment.
Han Jin was shocked, why were the attacks much fiercer than previous ones? He swiftly threw out his charm and sank into the ground.
The thunderbirds that were blasting lightning were not able to see the scene inside the magic shield. They continued to bombard the magic array below with lightning. Just a brief moment later, the magic shield finally shattered with a loud boom. After the explosion, a huge pit appeared in front of the thunderbirds.
However, this time, the thunderbirds were not fooled. Their intuition told them that the human was not the kind who could be killed so easily. Under the leadership of the Thunderbird King, the swarm of birds hovered in circles over the pit on the ground.
Han Jin's figure appeared on the ground hundreds of meters away. First, he leaped onto the green radiance, then he waved his hand, throwing something in the direction of the birds, leaving a trail of faint white light.
One of the thunderbirds in the front first spotted this white light and quickly darted after it. At the same time, it released a flash of lightning. To its own knowledge, no matter what the enemy threw, the lightning could not possibly harm itself or its companions.
When the white light collided with the lightning bolt, the white light smashed apart, with some sort of juice splattering all around. Seeing the scene ahead, the thunderbird's eyes popped out in shock; it had finally realized what it was actually attacking – it was a thunderbird egg!
At that point, the thunderbirds were even more enraged, including the Thunderbird King; Han Jin was using thunderbird eggs to attack thunderbirds! Was there anything more despicable?
Staring into the distance, Han Jin laughed out loud, "It wasn't me, you're the one who broke the egg!"
Just as Han Jin finished speaking, he found that the white spots of light had begun forming into the bodies of all the thunderbirds. He then quickly controlled the green radiance and jetted away in the opposite direction. In the next moment, each of the lightning attacks released by the thunderbirds converged at a single point, forming a huge electric ball. With thunderous roars, the ball chased closely after Han Jin. Though Han Jin's speed was already very fast, the electric ball was flying even faster. In the blink of an eye, it was already less than 20 meters away from Han Jin.
Han Jin made a sharp turn and dove towards the ground. The huge electric ball followed Han Jin's movements and made a turn. Seeing that it was impossible to lose the ball, Han Jin forcibly broke through the obstruction of the tree branches and landed on the ground. The electric ball immediately followed, and exploded where Han Jin had disappeared; the turbulent winds uprooted the surrounding trees, causing countless broken branches and shattered leaves to rain down. Sand and rocks instantly filled the sky, leaving behind an enormous pit with a width of more than ten meters.
Han Jin leaped over a hundred meters away, then jumped into the sky, onto the green radiance. He was secretly surprised by the size of the explosion from the lightning ball. Since the situation had already evolved, if he gave up on the plan, he would be wasting everyone's efforts. Now, his only hope was that his original judgment was not wrong.

Yani city itself was situated on a large desert island. the island itself was about the size of a small country. The daemon horde usually came from the far south east region of the island where there was a vast jungle that had not yet been consumed by the desert. While the inhabitants of the city could leave whenever they wanted, the island happened to be rich in one thing: minerals, and lots of them. This is what had drawn humans to the island and forced them to stay. Now the city was thriving and it was too late to turn back.

As Kit scanned the horizon all he could see was sand and trees until the point where the sky touched the ground. But there was no doubt about it, the horde was coming. He turned around on Valo, to face his men.

"Listen." He said, calmly. His voice was loud and clear, and as the archers on top of the walls were all cultivators he knew he didn't have to speak very loud for them to hear him. "Can you hear it?"  as the wind faded into the background the sound of a horde the size of which none of them had seen before charging towards them could be made out. "What does it sound like to you? Most men would say that it's the sound of death, come to take us all to the next life. Most men would tell us that it's the sound of our doom! That it's the sound of our demise!" Valo was now pacing up and down the front lines, making the horses somewhat uncomfortable even though over time they had grown accustomed to her menacing presence. She could hear the horde coming better than any man there, and she could smell it in the air. Daemons are widely varied creatures. They are also hard to understand. The eastern island hyenas were high up the food chain in the eastern islands. They were known for ferocity and an odd intelligence. Sometimes it seemed as though they were as smart as humans once they had reached a certain cultivation level. Valo was currently letting out a low growl, ready for anything.

"But we aren't like most men." Kit continued, "No, we are the shield that guards the realms of men! (AN: Sorry for that, game of thrones fans.) We hear the horde approaching and we do not fear it, for we know that it is not death or our demise that approaches. It is the sound of Glory from glorious battle!" Kit raised his spear to the heavens. The sound of rampaging daemons was growing near, but kit and his men steeled their resolve.

Out in the horizon a faint dark border between the ground and the sun formed. Kit knew the severity of the situation, but at the moment he felt confident. Even if all else failed, he had one epic trick up his sleeve.

Now the horde could be seen. This was only the first wave, but the daemons were still so vast in numbers they formed a tidal wave of destruction riding hard with no other intent than to annihilate anything in their paths.

Now that he saw them clearly a frightening thought crossed his mind. There were only two types of daemons in this wave. Usually, there was no order, pattern or tactics to an attack by daemon hordes, and if it weren't for the daemons Kit saw before him he wouldn't have noticed anything out of the ordinary. Now, with the enemy in his sight he realised something about this was wrong. 

Thunderbirds. Countless thunderbirds soared toward them. They were large with streaks of colour that made them stand out from most daemons. Being too large to actually fly they relied on the fact that they are wind elemental daemons. Bat-like and monstrous their skulls were the size of carts with a set of serrated jaws that were more like swords. The flap of their monstrous wings was thunder. The creatures had no eyes, so they felt the wind, any displacement by anything that was alive and they would attack in a twisted frenzy akin to winged piranha.

Then there was the largest herd of rhinoceros behemoths any of them had ever seen.  Each one was at least five tons of fury. They were rock elemental daemons which made them tough enough to withstand anything you threw at them. Fortunately, the cultivation levels for both were low, too low in fact to be ranked.  But what kit had come to realise was that the rhinoceros behemoths were meant to dismantle his ground forces, the same way his cavalry men would do to an opposing army. The thunderbirds would then ignore the battle completely, and proceed to the city. Certain daemons were known to be intelligent, but kit had to admit that whatever it was leading the horde had just left doubt in his heart as to if he would be able to defeat it as the only one in his army who had advanced to the last stages of the Foundation Realm.

As the first wave approached he raised his hand quickly brought it back down. In an instant his archers let their arrows loose. Countless red streaks flew over the battlefield, covered in fire qi. The temperature seemed to rise as a malevolent red glow cloaked the soon to be battlefield.

Hundreds of thunderbirds fell from the sky, but there must have been thousands of them. For each one that fell from the sky with an ear-piercing shriek ten more took its place, flying hard to the city. The battle had begun and there was no stopping it now.

"Hold the line and push them back!" he shouted as the small mercenary army charged at the stampeding herd of rhinoceros behemoths. 

The sound of arrow-lances bathed in bright red fire qi ripping through thunderbirds high above Tor faded into the background as without thinking he urged his steed forward, with his long-sword drawn at the ready. He was a middle fighter about to progress into an upper fighter. From what he had heard the first few waves wouldn't be much of a challenge for someone like him, but still…

When all the important animals and people gathered, I saw awe in the eyes of people gathered. Leta, the ever bubbly one, teased me, "I heard from Leafy you blew your roof as soon as you wake up. Will you make it rain again too?" I looked at her in confusion, and turned to the rational one from the lot. "Would you Tina, if you please, kindly explain what Ms. Lestrange here is implying? I blasted a roof, but I was casting a disillusionment spell on Leafy, thinking one of you came there to prank me." I comprehended the absurdity of the statement as I reached the end of it. But Leta, when she is not spitroasted by me and Newt, or bent over and fucked, is quite a charming and bubbly witch. She always has a grin on, when she plays a prank, and after teaching them all wandless magic, and various strengthening rituals later, which I have no need of, they all were about the standard of the asian wizards graduated from their Universities. They all picked an animal each, even the African tribal who live with us now. I made them all choose a good interesting animal, and told them all, that once someone chooses a animal, he won't be repeated again. That was so that I could have more forms. I thought making the animals who were obedient, or my familiar is enough to contend for the part of challenging the animal. But no, it needs to be a confrontation! 'Magic works on intent' spiel at play here! Anywho, there were no restriction on the age of animal chosen, and why noone asserted dominance over the newborn chicks of Thunderbirds and Phoenixes is a mystery. 
I had already made my elves prepare for a large scale expedition, where we would raid the asian magicals, as I in my Grim Form saw lavish treasures and animal pens in the royal houses. These stolen loot would need to be checked for tracking marks, and I need simultaneous attacks all over the world, to prevent any government from getting any wiser, and prepared for the attack. I know that Grindelwald is planning for an attack on the ministries in Europe, but I need to coincide my own raid with his, making it look like a synchronised event. During the death and destruction, I could have all the loot I so desire, including precious books, and records. 

But before that, I was stopped in my musing when I heard the voice of an amused Tina, "Why Lord Velaryon, it is exactly as she said it. You finished the ritual with a bright stream of light blasted on your forehead. The air around you was howling, and no one could approach you, as the ritual circle caught fire. The elves had complete faith in you, and stood there ready for you, but then all the air stopped howling, everything felt like it was drawn away from us. Newt and the elves told us, you were sucking in all the magic around you. You had put your ritual circle on a leyline, the earth pulsed as as the ground grew cold and you absorbed magic like a greedy little boy. After you stopped, the clouds thundered, and there was a rain storm. Taking that as the clue, the elves took you to the cottage, we waited for you to wake up, but you fell asleep. As soon as you started snoring, the walls crumpled and blasted away, and it started raining continuously over us. You were brought into the new cottage, and the elves cast a rune array for you, but your magic kept the clouds all gathered over you. Your cottage never saw the sun yesterday, and only today has the storm stopped." I look incredulously at them, and question my familiar about it. The nasty bugger, however snorted and replied in amusement. $What were you hoping for Speaker? Your magic is denser and coiled inside you, you are no longer human, even if you are, to our sight, you are more a magical creature, than a human, you do not have a distinctive taste of your magic, like any particular creature, but whatever you did, changed your very existence. Why don't you check how your animagus form feels like? There are always chances of something amusing happening, when it comes to you.$ I hate it, when I am a sense of amusement to everyone around me. I am an aspiring Overlord, and I will be treated as such! I still take my Grim form, and immediately notice, how I am bigger than before, much much bigger! After shuffling through all the forms, even the Dragon ones, I notice how I grew qualitatively, in body and strength. The plan is coming along superbly, if I may say so. I am now a magical source rather than sink, with my considerable magic. I decided to celebrate my coming of age, and spent the remaining time of my year to practise my control back over every single aspect I have learnt till now.

I am now in the freezing cold out here, and I am faced with a tired, weary competitive familiar. I performed the ritual for magical animagus, as is required. I chose my first familiar to be my first true animagus form. I challenged my basilisk, and we had a bout, there were no spectators, because each one of the humans here on the Sanctuary has chosen a young one of an animal. From Little Nundu, little Dragons, little Phoenixes, little Thunderbirds, little wampus cats, one even chose a little Horned Serpent we found. I am so happy, that everyone of my trusted minions-uhh comrades, nonono that's too communist, friends, nonono that's too japanese, um people yeah, people. Where was I? Oh yes, I finally am getting close to my dream of every cool creature being my animagus. That is so much exciting. And if the ritual didn't work right, I'll simply obliviate their memories. I love it when I get to have backups, makes me feel like a genius! Wait! I am a genius, oh yes, I finished the bout with my competitive snake, the bastard did not pull his punches. He even did the death glare on me, but apart from it draining me just a teeny tiny bit, it did not even faze me. He told me, an old creature stores magic just like me, and when a attack like that happens, it simply drains their ridiculuous reserves a little bit. That is what makes a creature magically resistant. He told me, even before the ritual with my Lesser Wood Elf physique, any curse cast on me, would have simply been converted to pure energy and absorbed into me. Now even killing curses would empower me, not stop me, let alone kill me. I did not let this get to my head, but decided after the few wrap ups, I need to begin my legitimate jumps to the plan I made before I even knew, a multiverse jump blessing is possible, let alone attainable. I am going to update my know how with technology and gain cool powers too. 

But for now, I take one or two drops of blood, I received from my Basilisk, and begin the ritual. Different from the other card forms, here I felt the magic at work as it sinks into me, drawing in some intangible energy inside me. I know this is the soul energy in the world, and greedily soak it in. I did my ritual first, so I could be ready to help everyone at a moment's notice. I feel myself elongate and extend as I grow in size. I don't know how long I am, but I look at my basilisk, and he is in awe. $How long am I?$ He just shakes his head, and replies $Longer than you should be Speaker. What did you do this time?$ $What do you mean?$ $You are thrice as long and twice as wide, and I am 1000 years old. We snakes can only grow with age. That is why I asked Speaker, what did you do? Are you practising your abilities again?$ I replied in negative. I changed back quickly, and there was not even a noticeable drain on my reserve. I know how tiring and draining taking the animagus form is, and yet I do not feel tired, at all. 

I then go around, helping all take their forms, and it seems my idea to do the ritual with a young one is a success, I let everyone take forms and pulse my magic in the air, to saturate the magic in the air. I notice as intangible energy noticeably flows, and in the spirit of experiment, I bring out the only purple item I have. The Artefact known to Potter fans as Veil of Death. I put it out, and I notice how every one visibly gains more saturation of soul energies. I quickly extract everyone's cards, after they gained them. I went to my ritual circle, allow the Veil of Death outside my Circle and transform my Patronus into Thunderbird Card, the first one I want the most, and use the card. I see the veil giving out concentrated soul energy, and from its name I speculated the connection to souls, but truly never tested it before. I absorb tremendous concentration of soul energy and it seeps into me and I trill at the sky, I felt the lightning in the air, the so called precognition Thunderbirds have, and sensed no trouble. Good! So little time, so much to do! I then started turning into each animal;Phoenix, Thunderbirds, Dragons of different breeds, Nundus, Erumpents, Wampus Cats, one even had a Unicorn but no Threstral. No worries! I was gaining fantastic Animagus forms. I thought my soul would be fatigued, but no! It felt energised. I think the blessing from that R.O.B. is at play here. Great! I enjoy the feeling of these powerful forms, and after each form, I feel the magical drain, as I am gaining strong creatures and the compensation for it would be equivalent. I saw the different small birds, and animals everyone turned into, but not many elder ones. I know they are going to feel the drain, so I made them all go in a magically saturated chamber each, so they can recover quicker. I turned into my Thunderbird, Phoenix and Dragon Forms and just can't hold back my excitement. "Greetings, Vishanti! Welcome to SOLHEIM!" I say, spreading my hands apart in invitation.

In front of me, standing as tall as me, were the Vishanti, Gods of the Sorcerers. Elder Goddess Oshtur, her son born out of her tear drop that fell on the ground, Agamotto, and Oshtur's companion for millions of years, Hoggoth. 

Hoggoth actually did look a lot like a tiger. He had the body of a humanoid, but mostly tiger features. Claws in his hands, a tail behind him, and even the head of a tiger.

"Lord Baldur." Agamotto says, greeting me with a smile. I have no idea if this Agamotto is the same as the one from that Universe, or they are different beings, but I'm giving him the respect he deserves.

"Lord Agamotto. It is nice to meet you in person." I say, bowing a bit in respect.

Agamotto nods, and Oshtur cones forward, "Lord Baldur. You have surprised us.. which we are usually not. My name is Oshtur, and this is an Elder God of another long gone planet, Hoggoth. We, are the Vishanti."

I bow, and say, "Greetings, Vishanti. I am Baldur, God of the Sun, and Lord of the Solheim Realm. How can I help you?"

"We wanted to ask you to withdraw from the mortal Realm. It breaks the oaths we have taken, not to interfere in the mortal Realm." Hoggoth says, not blunting the blow.

I nod, and say, "I have already withdrawn myself from the Mortals, My Lords, Lady. I am aware of the laws."

Oshtur frowns, and asks, "And what of the Baldur currently roaming on what you call Avalon?"

I chuckle, making them guarded and say, "I know the laws, my Lady. There is no law, that says that I can't send an avatar to the Mortal Realm. You have done it before, Lord Agamotto has, and even the other Elder Gods have. But, unlike them, my Avatar has my memories to go with it. That's it. The Baldur you see in the Mortal Realm, is not me, and I do not control him. He is completely independent in his actions, and I am just an audience right now."

What I said was completely true. Shuma-Gorath, Dormammu, Agamotto, Oshtur, Balthakk, Cyttorak, Set, Chthon, each of them, and more, have had Avatar's in the past. I've seen them with the mirror.

I know I'm not breaking any law, or these same three Gods would have destroyed my Avatar already.

"You speak the truth." Agamotto says, surprised. Of course he can tell if I'm lying.

I nod and say, "Or course I am. I have nothing to hide from Honoured Gods such as yourselves."

Agamotto nods, making the other two agree too. Oshtur says, "Forgive me then, for my doubts. We shall take our leaves then. Welcome to Godhood, Lord Baldur."

I bow, a bit, and say, "I thank you, Lady Oshtur. And you won't have to worry. I will not try and invade the Mortal Realm. I love my planet too much to do that."

"Very well." Oshtur says, and nods at the other two. All three of them float out of there, and I feel them leaving my Realm.

I immediately give a sigh of relief. Usually, it's tantamount to suicide trying to face a Realm Lord in their own Realm. But these were the Vishanti. They've forgotten more magic, than I've ever known.

Sure, I could probably take one of them, while I'm being backed up by my Realm, and they're out if theirs. But it'll be a hard fight. When they're together? Nope. I'll die. Completely. Leaving my mortal Avatar to take the reins.

I close my eyes, and connect back to my Avatar, but something prods on my senses, and convinces me to open my eyes.

I see someone laying on the floor in front of me, a mortal human, in his astral form. Huh? A wizard? But I thought they're all dead.

His soul feels familiar to me, so before he can even open his eyes, I go inside his mind, and through his fairly formidable defences. Formidable for a human that is.

In a couple seconds, I view all of his memories, from his birth, to his death, to his rebirth, and the ritual he just went through, and I realize why I feel the wizard is familiar.

He's me! Meaning the soul is the same as mine, and the memories of his past life match mine! I widen my eyes at the revelation. Either he's a copy of me, or he is an alternate "me" from the past life.

"Interesting. You're me!" I rumble out, looking at the British wizard from another Universe, and future, open his eyes.

Seeing his eyes, which although a bit scared, are not that scared, I move my hand forward, and send a blast of Sun Dimension's energy at him, blessing him.

This will give him a healing factor comparable with Wolverine's, and judging by his already impressive pair of powers, it'll be useful. It won't give him the ability of coming to my Dimension again, but it will allow him to pull my energy if he trains in it.

Basically, I gave him a blessing, both a bit superior to the one I gave Merle.

Waving my hand, I send his Astral form out of my Castle, and into the Realm, so he makes a connection with it the proper way, and the ritual pulls him away.

"Heh. Alternate past me also got reincarnated. Makes me wonder how many 'mes' got reborn."

Is there a me in Naruto Universe? What about plain old Harry Potter? What about Star Wars, DBZ, and all the other fictional works I've read or seen? What about DC? God, I hope not. I know nothing about DC. My mortal self will die there.

Not my problem, anyway. I'm safe in my Dimension here.

1156 AD: 182 Years(17):

Keeping the Mirror down after viewing Ego's umpteenth visit some million years ago, I stretch myself. 

My Mirror viewing capabilities were increasing day by day. Just yesterday, the max I could see was about 900,000 years back. Now, I just saw 1.2 Million years in the past. But, I still can't see the future. I can see the present, and past anywhere in the Universe though.

Ego was on a distant planet planting his seed after making another woman pregnant. Thankfully, the seeds shrivel up and die, after some 100 years of no Ego Energy being provided. 

I can't call it Celestial energy, as I'm still not sure he's a Celestial. He's.. to weak, for a Celestial. Even I could destroy him, with just my fists, and no magic.

Anyway, stretching done, I call out, "Blinky!"

"Yes, Master Baldy?" Blinky says, popping in.

I ask, "Where did Sol go? She did not visit me since I've been awake, and it's been 2 days!"

I was upset, alright. She's my Phoenix, and she didn't come visit me?

Blinky hesitates a bit, and says, "Um.. Master Baldy.. Mistress Sol be.. Mistress Sol be on a date."

"Excuse me?! A DATE?" I exclaim, both in shock, and awe.

My Sol is all grown up!

Seeing I'm not upset, Blinky nods, and explains, "Yes. Mistress Sol be going out to roam on Earth, Master, with her mate."

"Who did she go with, Blinky?" I ask, because Blinky was dallying.

Blinky says, "He be a Thunderbird master!" and pops out before I can even react.

A Thunderbird?! A THUNDERBIRD?! What was wrong with the Phoenixes?! Phoenixes are pure, light and non hurting!

Thunderbirds throw thunder out of their wings and legs!

"CRUX!" I shout, sending a wave of magic to ask Sol's father to visit me. 

We have a young lady to talk to.

3 hours, summoning Sol and the bloody Thunderbird, and burning my hair, and Crux's feathers later, Sol said goodbye to the Thunderbird, named Bolt, (What kind of Thunderbird has a name like that?) Sol began attacking me again.

'YOU EMBARRASSED ME IN FRONT OF MY MATE!' Sol snaps out, while poking my head with her surprisingly sharp beak, and holding my hand with her talons tightly.

"I'm sorry, okay! But I was worried for you! He's a Thunderbird! Just look at Thor, and see how Thunder people are!" I say, shielding my eyes.

Crux trills out a laugh, so Sol glares and jumps at him, and leaves me alone.

15 minutes later, Crux goes home, and I'm holding Sol close, hugging her.

"I'm sorry, Sol. I was just worried for you." I whisper, while caressing her feathers.

'Forgiven. But only because you just woke up.' Sol trills out, and goes to sleep on my chest.

I sigh, cursing Crux for pushing all the blame on me. Like he did not have a 10 minute rant about her dating a Thunderbird.

Are Thunderbirds even immortal? Damn, now I'll have to make a bloody bird immortal somehow. Simply because Sol likes him.

Why oh, why, did Phoenixes have to mate for life? Couldn't they have just.. nah, that's worse. Mating for life is better.

I sigh, and go to sleep in the same position, absently noting Aora joining us too. Oh grow up, she's my daughter. Both of them are.

The MC will wake up in his crib, a few days after his birth. When in the timeline will he be born? Well, glad you asked. In this AU, Baldur is the younger twin of Thor, instead of the waaayyy younger brother.

For those of you who don't know, and are too lazy to Google, Baldur is the younger brother of Thor and Loki(in the mythos and the comics, he doesn't exist in MCU) by at least a few years. Also, while Thor is the son of Gaia, Baldur is the son of Frigga. 

He's the Norse God of Light, so beware of photon manipulation, and heat manipulation. These will be his powers, at least in the beginning. I'm fairly unimaginative, so it'll look about similar to Captain Marvel from MCU. 

I'm a new author, with 2 incomplete fics on ffn.net, and have suffered from writing blocks. This is my attempt at regaining my writing spirit.

The updates will be, sort of slow, but I'll try to post at least one chapter per day, but please be patient if I'm late.

"It's been a long time, brother," Grigori said.
"It has indeed," Mikhail replied. A hundred things he'd longed to say simply faded. He pulled his elder brother into a fierce hug. Two hundred years had passed since he'd seen Grigori, and in that embrace he felt every single day fade away.
"Now that you have the jewels back, tell me you will stop this exile nonsense and come home. Rurik and I miss you. Besides, now that you shall be an uncle soon"
Mikhail's lips parted in shock. "You mean you"
"Madelyn and I are expecting a drakeling. Should be here in eight months. Can you believe it? I'm going to be a father." Grigori's blue eyes sparkled like diamonds. He'd never looked happier.
Mikhail slapped his brother's back. "Congratulations." But then he sobered. "But how? Madelyn isn't a dragoness." Belishaw was sure Mikhail's brother had mated a mortal. He'd thought that Grigori wouldn't want to have to watch his mate die, and children wouldn't be possible.
Grigori's expression sobered. "No. Madelyn isn't a dragon, but she's not mortal either." 
Mikhail was confused now. "Then what is she?" 
"She's a Thunderbird. I think that dragons can mate with other supernatural creatures because of the way our ancestors bonded to spirits in the same way."
That wasn't possible. The Thunderbirds were extinct, weren't they? Their father had made it his life's mission to kill them to avenge the loss of his own father. But if there were still Thunderbirds alive, and one was here 
"Piper." Mikhail's gasp sounded more like a hiss than he meant it to. His brother tensed as he barred the path to the kitchen.
"Easy, brother, she's not going to hurt you."
Mikhail curled his hands into fists. "She's in the kitchen with my mate." 
"And Piper is perfectly safe," Grigori promised. "Sit, and let me tell you all that's happened since you left."
Mikhail reluctantly sat down and listened as his brother shared an almost unbelievable tale of how he'd met Madelyn when she'd discovered James Barrow's old journal in a library in Russia. Then he explained what had happened that fateful night when their parents had died. Only Mikhail's mother had survived the battle, and she'd lived long enough to tell Grigori and Rurik what had happened. Mikhail had known their father wasn't perfect, but to learn that he had tracked down and killed the last mated Thunderbirds on earth, when they hadn't even wanted to fight, left him feeling cold.
"It was Mother. She found Madelyn, who was just an infant at the time. Mother took her to safety before she died. It's all connected. Don't you see?" Grigori asked, his voice full of awe. "It was fate that bound our lives together. First as enemies, and now as mates."
"How did Rurik take the news?" Mikhail knew how hotheaded their younger brother could be. It was a trait in battle dragons to act rashly and without thought. It usually kept them alive.
"He was hesitant at first, but when we had to face the Drakors, Madelyn killed all of them. You should have seen it. They were all circling around this high mountain and coming out of these caves. Madelyn came screaming down from the heavens in her bird form and created a sonic boom that crushed the mountain down on them. I'm just glad that battle was in rural Russia or else the damned Brotherhood of the Blood Moon would be knocking on our door." Grigori chuckled as though recalling some memory. "After that, Rurik became a fan." It pained Mikhail to know he'd missed out on so much of his brothers' lives.
"So," Grigori said, focusing on him again. "Will you come home, brother?"
It was what he'd hoped to hear from his father, but he never would. Forgiveness from a dead man was not something he could ever get.
"I still need to talk to Piper. She's only just become a dragon. This is all new to her. She'll need time to reorganize her life. She might not want to move to Russia. So until she decides, I'll go where she goes."
Grigori nodded. "Wise answer. A good dragon puts his mate's needs above his own." It was something their father had said over and over again, a code he'd lived by, except the night he'd gotten himself killed, dooming their mother in the process.
"I'm sorry I didn't reach out," Mikhail said, his voice a little rough as long-buried emotions began to claw back to the surface.
"I know," Grigori replied. "I'm sorry too. Father put so much emphasis on duty, you never had a chance to learn that life was also about love and joy." Mikhail had never seen his brother like this before. Grigori's eyes were soft as he spoke. He had always been hard and strong, like their father, but now he seemed strong in a different way. More like their mother.
"You've changed." Mikhail smiled.
"We both have." Grigori glanced over his shoulder toward the kitchen. "Finding one's mate is like learning to fly for the first time. Excitement, fear, joy, love, and exquisite pleasure."
His brother had summarized it perfectly. Finding Piper, loving her, and almost losing her had shown him just what he'd missed out on by hiding away. He'd lost Elizabeth, and that had almost destroyed him. But Piper had saved him.
"How did you do it?" Grigori asked quietly. "How did you turn her into a dragon?" 
"I'm not sure. It all happened so fast. Piper leaped in front of Sinclair's blade and" The words died on his lips. It took a moment to compose himself. "She was dying in my arms, and I heard a voice that told me I needed to give her a dragon's heart."
Grigori frowned. "A dragon's heart?" 
"Yes, but not an actual heart. The Dragon Heart Stone. A fist-sized ruby that was imbued with magic." He curled his fingers into a fist, remembering how it had felt to hold the ruby and feel the power surging through it into Piper. "I held her as she breathed her last, and then the stone exploded with power and turned to dust. There must have been a dragon's soul sleeping in there, one that bound itself to Piper. I can't think of any other explanation, but I've never heard of such a thing before, have you?"
"The Dragon Heart Stone," Grigori mused, his blue eyes serious. "I remember Father telling us about it, how even the Belishaw clan feared to keep it in their possession. Yet none knew what power it held. But if this is true, if it did hold a sleeping dragon's soul, then it might not be the only stone out there with such powers. You remember our uncle, Vasili? He was searching for the Heart of Sorrows, a sapphire the size of an apple. What if it holds a similar power?"
"Did he find the stone?"
Grigori shook his head. "His mate died while they were exploring the Alps together, and he passed away shortly after her and failed to discover its location. We never found either of them. Father believed they were buried beneath snow after they perished."
For a long moment neither brother spoke as they thought of all the dragons long gone.
Then Mikhail smiled as a new thought occurred to him. "You and Rurik never got to see the hoard I was supposed to bring home all those years ago. Do you want to see it?"
Grigori shook his head. "Better not. I would end up spending all night counting pearls, and my lovely wife would be upset." 
The brothers laughed, then paused when they heard their mates' laughter coming from the kitchen.
"It's nice, isn't it?" Grigori asked. Mikhail nodded. For so long it had been just the three of them against the world. Now with mates and a drakeling on the way, the Barinovs would be a real family again. "All we need now is to find a nice dragoness for Rurik," Grigori said.
"Find Rurik a mate? I doubt that will ever happen." Mikhail snorted.
Grigori grinned. "Never say never, brother."
