I had a thought what if I made random titles and/or intros that people can use to make fun novels.
I was thinking of making novels but thought to myself that I don't really have the talent to make novels to the end or realy capture the audience attention. I could capture the attention for a short while but not for the whole novel.
I just hope one of my ideas can become a good novel.

How do you attract a girl when you are a girl cross-dressing as a boy?

Nam Ji Yeon has done her homework. She watches a lot of romantic drama. She follows the most popular idols and models and studies their styles. She works out the dialogues and situations. Making a girl fall in love with her wasn't as easy as she thought.

She had planned to steal her ex-boyfriend's clothes. Then, she abandoned that plan. Her ex-boyfriend's clothes won't fit her because he is shorter than her. Stealing is not good anyway. Besides, who would want to wear her ex-boyfriend's stinky clothes? Luckily, her elder brother is away for college. So, she borrows her elder's brothers clothes instead. 

She buys a wig and some makeup items. She spends hours on online videos to learn makeup skills. She needs to look handsome and beautiful at the same time. She must swoon the girls by her looks. She doesn't even realize that she could just swoon the boys too and have revenge in other ways. 

Lastly, it's important to learn about her targets. So, Nam Ji Yeon follows (stalks) her target in both the online and offline world. She feels like slicing Gong Ae Young and Kim Si Woo into small pieces each time she sees them together.

Nam Ji Yeon is dressed in faded jeans and a loose black t-shirt. Her fake hair is short and wavy. She wears brown lenses and a slight makeup on her face. Her chest is bound into a flat runway. There is no one who could say that she is a girl. 

She picks up the magazine at the book store and pretends to read. From the corner of her eyes, she observes Gong Ae Young and her friends.

Today, she will make a move.

"Ae Young, this quiz tells how much your boyfriend loves you. Do you want to take it?" Gong Ae Young's friend asks her.

"I have a copy of this magazine at home. I already checked the quiz." Gong Ae Young looks sullen. "It is 82 percent only."

"Oh, that is good, right?" Her friend asks while looking up at the other magazines.

"How is it good, Yu-ri?" Gong Ae Young frowns deeper. "Why it wasn't a hundred percent?"

"Ae Young, these quizzes are so stupid. Si Woo broke up with his girlfriend for you. I heard from Yoon-Seo that they were in the relationship for five years. I think, Si Woo really likes you." 

Nam Ji Yeon has complicated feelings in her heart when she hears these things. She doesn't shed a tear when Kim Si Woo broke up with her for Gong Ae Young. 

"What do you know? His ex-girlfriend is a horrible person. She knows martial arts. Si Woo told me that he was always afraid of her. He didn't know about her real self before he started dating. He wanted to break up long ago, but she was forcing him to stay in the relationship. He got the courage to confront her after meeting me."

Nam Ji Yeon grits her teeth in anger. 'Afraid of making me angry? He is making me angry now. Forcing him? Is it? Let me teach you a lesson, Si Woo. Don't worry. I will make you cry the tears of blood.'

She has enough of it. She walks toward the girl in a nonchalant way. Her every gaze is calm and aloof. It is the friend who noticed her first. Her eyes widen in awe. She elbows Gong Ae Young and says, "Ae Young, look."

When Gong Ae Young's face is turning in Nam Ji Yeon's direction, she drops her magazine near Gong Ae Young's feet. She picks up the magazine. When she stands up, she smiles casually at the two girls.

"I am sorry." She waves the magazine. She doesn't wait for the girls to speak. She goes to the counter and pays for the magazine. She leaves without sparing another glance at the girls.

"Ae Young, who is this? He looks like an idol." 

"Why Si Woo isn't handsome like him?" 

"Ae Young, don't be greedy. Si Woo is handsome and cool."

"But compared to him, he is nothing. Did you see his smile? My heart skipped a beat."

"Mine too...he smelled nice."

"You sniffed?"

"You can't help but notice things when handsome boys are near, Ae Young."

"I agree...I wish I could meet him again."

"Me too."

Behind them, Nam Ji Yeon is listening to their conversation. She comes through the back door and hides behind the bookshelf. She grins when she hears Ae Young's words. Step one is complete and successful. 

That's how the evil couple breaker Nam Ji Yeon is born. 

After two days, Nam Ji Yeon meets Ae Young again at a coffee shop. She pretends not to know Ae Young. Gong Ae Young comes there with her friends. Her friend Yu-Ri is helpful. She notices Nam Ji Yeon right away. Nam Ji Yeon is quietly drinking tea and pretending to read from the book.

"Ae Young, it's him again," Yu-Ri whispers to Ae Young. "It is fate, right? Should I go and talk to him?"

"Yu-Ri, don't be overconfident. With his looks, he might have a girlfriend already." Ae Young sounds irritated. 

"What are you two whispering about?" The third girl asks.

"That Oppa is so handsome, Nari." Yu-Ri points at Nam Ji Yeon. She pretends not to notice.

"You are right." Nari pushes her glasses on the bridge of her nose. "Yu-Ri, you should talk to him. It is the twenty-first century. You are the only one who doesn't have a boyfriend."

Nam Ji Yeon sighs in her heart. 'Girls, you have no idea.'

"Ah...but it will be awkward...if I go to him like this suddenly," Yu-Ri says nervously.

"You can say that you really liked the book that he is reading," Nari suggests quietly.

Gong Ae Young looks in Nam Ji Yeon's direction and says, "That book? Ah, I have read it. It is a horror novel." 

"A guy who reads a novel...he should be a romantic guy, isn't?" Yu-Ri giggles.

"I will go and talk to him. I know about the book. Then, I will call you two to sit together if things go well."

Gong Ae Young doesn't wait for others two to reply. She gets up and boldly makes her way to Nam Ji Yeon. Even Nam Ji Yeon doesn't see it coming. 

"Hello." Gong Ae Young puts the hair behind her ear flirtatiously. "I have read that book. I didn't think that there is someone else who also likes this book."

Her sweet voice and blushing looks could make any man's heart flutter. It doesn't affect Nam Ji Yeon. 

In reality, she picked up the book after she saw her picking that book a week ago. Gong Ae Young always picked horror and thriller novels from the bookstore. She also knows that Kim Si Woo was not much of a reader. That's why she considers the 'romantic book guy' approach toward Gong Ae Young.

Nam Ji Yeon stands up with a thoughtful look. "Please don't mind, but I have seen you before...somewhere..."

"We met at the book store." Gong Ae Young feels lucky that Nam Ji Yeon still remembers her face. "The Reader's Crossing bookstore?"

"Ah, yes!" Nam Ji Yeon smiles at her. "Please, sit."

"Thank you." 

Nam Ji Yeon gives her the book. "You have read this book by this writer? This book isn't popular. Usually, girls like romantic novels."

Gong Ae Young blushes a little. "He is my favorite author."

Nam Ji Yeon leans toward her with bright eyes. 

"My name is Choi Ji Min."

"Gong Ae Young."

"Beautiful name...for a beautiful girl." 

"Thank you." Gong Ae Young looks down at her hands shyly. Nam Ji Yeon notices that her friend Yu-Ri is glaring at them.

"Are those your friends?" She asks Gong Ae Young.

Gong Ae Young doesn't look back at her friends. 

"They are waiting for their boyfriends. I came to talk to you. I didn't want to be the third wheel in their dates."

Nam Ji Yeon tilts her head at an angle that makes her face appear most handsome. She has practiced her expressions and 'angles' in the mirror at home. 

"I see...do you want to visit the bookstore?" 

"Sure, Oppa!" Gong Ae Young stands up with great enthusiasm. 

Nam Ji Yeon smirks internally. So easy, got you!

Day 22 Month 7.

I woke up so early in the morning, before the sun even rose. Or would it be suffice to say that I could hardly fall asleep last night?

Today, my entrance exams result should be delivered!!

Since I couldn't sleep anyway, I decided to wake up and walked down only to find that Chloe was already awake as well, and she seemed to be in the middle of doing a morning clean-up.

 

"Ara? Lyra-sama? Why are you up so early in the morning?"

"Chloe? You're already awake, too?"

 

I was being so rude! Not only did I not answer her question, but I even returned her question with another question! Where are my manners? Where have they gone to?

 

"Ahaha, yeah, I'm used to wake up so early even without the help of any alarm. I guess it's my biological clock. I usually do minor chores in the morning before it's time to prepare for breakfast," Chloe didn't seem to mind my earlier rudeness at all and answered my questions first.

"I see… Ah, uhm, I can't really sleep because today, I should be getting my entrance exams result. So, I decided to wake up early."

"Is that so? Do you want to eat something or take a bath first?"

"I-it's okay, I will just walk around or read something while waiting for my parents to wake up…"

"Read something? Then, I'll be making a hot cocoa for you! Wait a bit, Lyra-sama."

 

Before I could even refuse her delicious offer, Chloe quickly dashed over to the kitchen to make the hot cocoa.

"You can't sleep well? You should have knocked our rooms, Mommy and Daddy will accompany you to sleep," Mom added.

 

…oh, right. It's normal for a six-year-old kid to do that! It didn't cross my mind, with my mental age and how I had no recollection of doing that in my past life.

"Yes, of course!"

"T-thank you, I will do that next time!"

 

Hearing their quick and positive answers, I resigned myself to the warmth I felt growing inside my chest and a genuine smile quickly formed on my face.

After taking a bath and having a nice breakfast, I went on stand-by in front of the house, waiting for the sign of a letter arriving, or anything of the sort…

 

"Lyra, you can actually access it on Provice…"

Dad murmured something, but Mom stopped him before I could even understand what he was talking about.

 

"Don't kill the joy of waiting for the manual result to Lyra!" Mom quickly warned Dad—and I was wondering… manual result?

"Lyra, let's play some games first," Alt-nii tried to tempt me, but I was in no mood to play!

 

When I squinted into the distance, I saw a figure approaching in a simple bike… that person… could he be the long-awaited postman?!

When the figure of a young boy on his bike approached, I decided to walk even further to the gate. Obviously, my parents and Alt-nii who were standing next to me quickly followed.

The boy descended from his bike, repositioned his hat, and took out several mails from his bag.

Among the letters, I saw one familiar-looking envelope with a familiar-looking wax seal. That's…!!

 

"I've been waiting for you!!" I impatiently held my hands up to the letters he was holding, and he looked back at me in confusion.

"Uhm… yes?"

"Hurry, hurry!" I shook my hands which were floating in the air, impatiently gesturing him to give me the letters.

"Ah…?" The young postman showed a confused expression instead, and that grated my nerves!

"Now, please!"

"…I understand."

 

My eyes sparkled when the young postman said that he understood—but then, he put away the letters back and… positioned himself to carry me…?!

Wait… No!! Nooo, you've misunderstood my words!!

As I closed my eyes to the approaching figure of a dazzling young postman seemingly in his 15-17 of age, resigning my fate to whatever came, I noticed that I was snatched away and was flying on the air, in the familiar arms.

 

Familiar… arms?

I opened my eyes to see what was going on and saw the young postman standing dumbfoundedly in front of me, and noticed that he wasn't the one who carried me.

I turned over and looked up at my savior.

The one who saved me from such an awkward situation was none other than… Dad.

 

"Can you explain what did you just try to do to my daughter?" Dad smiled, but cold air emanated from within his smile.

"Eh? Ah, n-no, Duke Hartmann, I wasn't… The little miss seemed like she wanted me to carry her out of a sudden, and to answer her impatient request, I…"

 

…Whaaaaat? How did you perceive my gesture as that?!

 

"What, there's no way she would do such a thing to a stranger!"

"Stranger, me? But I've come here a few times to deliver the mails… yelp! N, no, I mean…"

 

The young postman's sense of justice prompted him to correct my dad's memory, but he was greeted by Dad's fierce stare.

 

"D-dad, it's okay, I was at fault, too! I didn't speak my intention well! This big brother here is not wrong!!"

 

In a panic, I put my hands on Dad's chest to prevent him from getting angry at the innocent postman.

 

"…Lyra's defending him?!" Dad's shaken voice resounded.

"…Uuuh, what a kind little miss you are!" The young postman's overjoyed voice responded.

"…"

Yes, please, please end this odd situation and just give me the letter already!!

 

In the end, Mom stepped between Dad and the young postman after she enjoyed the situation wholeheartedly and explained the circumstances, apologized to the young postman and took the deliveries from his hands.

The young postman smiled at me and gave me his good luck after hearing how I was impatiently waiting for the exam result.

Dad discreetly shoo-ed him away… Dad… please stop destroying your image as the duke… ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )


"Quick, quick!"

Gathering in the family room, I impatiently asked Mom to open the mail that she was holding.

Looking at my childish behavior, Alt-nii and my parents all laughed.

Julie was deeply lost in the streets of Europe with Robert Langdon in one of those Dan Brown's thriller novels. Her face was covered by the hard back she had just bought the day before and was already half way through the 600 plus pages story. Her coffee cup was half empty, her croissant half eaten, her eyes nailed to the sheets.


"Julie?!" a voice called her name which she pretended to not hear, she was three pages away from the next chapter. The source of the voice didn't call on her again, instead he took a seat in front of her in silence. Her eyebrows furrowed as she was finishing a few more paragraphs before she slid her book to one side and startled at the sight of Nathan.


"Nathan?! I'm sorry I was ..." she was lost for words.


"In the middle of a chapter? Don't worry, I'm like that too ..." he laughed softly, showing a row of perfect teeth between his perfectly shaped lips. "Are you alone? Can I sit here?" he was direct.


"Sure ... " being an introvert, she didn't know what else to say after that.


"Why aren't you in class? I just dropped Kelsey at campus and thought I stop here for coffee," he peeked at the the coffee cup in front of Julie. "Do you want another one? I think we should get another one." Nathan was definitely an extrovert who was more than comfortable in his own skin. He had continuously spoken four sentences in a row without needing a reply.


Julie raised her eyebrows and said, "Okay," with a smile.


"Just the girl I need to talk to, sorry to bother your reading, is it a good time?" he asked as he settled in his seat.


She needed a break from all the running around with a police detective, a conversation with a new friend was a good one. "No ... no ... I can finish it later, what's up? Anything I can help you with?"


"Actually, there is ... you know about my business in Bhorma, right? I was thinking if you'd be interested in taking your internship at my restaurant, I offered Kelsey but she said she won't be able to take an internship 'til next year," he was eager to get a favorable response.


"What would the job description look like for an intern?" she asked.


"I was thinking, it'll be good for you to come up with ideas for my company and the chain I'm building ... maybe we can sit down and work on a map so you have an idea of what I'm working on and the vision that I'm trying to achieve," he was down for business.


Julie was intrigued, it was the kind of learning experience she was looking for. "Alright, my internship will be for three months starting December, I'm going to put in my application for the campus to go over it and get an approval, so I'll need a letter from your company to state that I will be doing an internship there." She deliberately chose to start in December because she didn't really want to spend winter holidays with her family. That way, she can finish even earlier and start working as soon as possible.


"Does that mean you'll do it?" Nathan was hopeful.


"I don't see why not? If I can put in my ideas in a new business and help you get everything rolling, that would make my report more comprehensive, and I'll be learning a lot more than if I join an already successful establishment, in which I would probably fill in a post as an assistant or administration job, that would suck for me," she said truthfully.


"That's awesome, December sounds perfect, I will be down on staff on holidays, and you can even help me recruit interns ... well we should start mapping when you have time," Nathan was fired up with the idea.


Julie picked up her backpack and reached inside it, she took out a pen and a notepad, "How about now? I have time now, I'll just take notes on the information I need from you and then I'll map it out on my laptop later and we'll see from there," she was excited.


They ended up sitting there until lunch and another cup of coffee to discuss the basics of Nathan's business. He was thrilled to have her in his team, it was obvious that she would make a great addition to his company, or even a partner because she thinks like one. Even from the first time they sat down, she was absorbing all the information and processed it in that brilliant mind of hers more than anyone he had ever encountered.


Nathan on the other hand, had been working on building a whole chain of restaurant on his own. The task was a lot to carry for someone as young as he was and inexperienced. Even though he had some help from his parents who had their own successful chain of meat companies, he was determined to be independent and took as minimum handout as possible. He was more than capable, it was evident that he had the knack to be a dilligent businessman.


"I can't believe how efficient that was," Nathan's eyes were bright as sunshine, he knew right then Julie was the person he needed. In just one seating, they managed to map out the recruitment system, some purchasing system and already brainstorming about the computer system that the company needed to integrate all it's departments and eventually all their future chains together. Julie had a satisfied smile on her face, she too had just found an employer that she felt like she can work with for the long run.


Nathan couldn't shut up about it when he picked up Kelsey later that day. "That's wonderful news, babe, now you can leave all those tedious work to Julie and spend more time with me," she nipped his neck.


His eyes were still bright with ideas, he leaned over to her and kissed her mouth, "You're underestimating my skills babe, I can do both when I need to." And that was just the kind of comment that sends Kelsey tingling with desires.

SpicyGinger: In a story for kids... sure there is responsibility... but for an adults work... the writer can depict whatever he wants.

Truedawn: Plus authors should really think of what they're giving to readers. r-13, r-16, r-18 it doesn't stop young people from reading it at all even adults get affected.

The discord chatroom resumed their happy go lucky ways and another episode has ended…or was it?

A few days passed since that heated debate on the Writer's Discord Chatroom. Elyon was curious and asked the other authors who were not present during that debate the question "What is a Story?" The answers he got were quite tame, compared to the ones he had back then.

Elyon: What is a story to you as an author? *points imaginary microphone to a baby dragon*

Zehel2218: For me as a reader, novel is everything that makes me want to live on.

Cultivator_Requiem: But a story can be a ship to another world! Or a message from the past! Or a stupid creation of a 11-year-old edgy kid!

Longsun Fullmetal: There are many different forms of a story. All of them with a different purpose and goal. Some of them merely seek to entertain, others wish to send a message. 

Some are about inspiring while others seek to cause specific emotions of the readers, Many stories were made by people who are disappointed with the "real world", reflecting what's happening around them inside their story, maybe wishing to escape it or suggesting a solution to the world's problems. The list is endless.

There are so many different types of stories we could keep this up all day honestly. But I think we can agree on one thing. A story is either enjoyable or not.

Author's Thoughts

When I decided to start writing Writer's Chatgroup, this particular episode on the discord chat made a deep impression on me. If I remember correctly, It was just a week after I joined the server.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is their right, their choice and something that they need to decide on their own. Most of the time, arguments and debates are often caused by conflicting opinions. 

Even outside the boundaries of the discord chatroom, these conflicts happen. One good example of this is voting for politicians (President, Senators, etc.) You'd be surprised that sometimes your friends, family, relatives, classmates, acquaintances, co-workers (name it you have it!) will not always agree with you on your choice of candidates.

There are times when you get "heated discussion and debates" on why this particular politician is good, why he/she is bad, so on and so forth~

So why am I telling you this stuff? Mmm, it's because I don't want the authors of the discord chatroom to kil- *cough* I don't want the readers to judge their favorite authors for voicing their opinions and beliefs. 

We as authors write our stories so we can pass a message to you, so we can entertain you, so we can give you something to do when you're bored and have free time to spare. 

In turn, we get happy if people read our stories. Just like what the author PoeticPenguin shared in a comment in one of the chapters of Writer's Chatgroup.

"I can't make someone laugh so I have defaulted to make my readers interested. Also, I wholeheartedly agree with you. A comment is basically 300 dollars plus bragging rights. Wait no, more than that. It's also a glimpse of heaven on earth."

Ren Suo noticed that the opening sound played by the system when it was turning on had changed slightly. Previously, it seemed clearer and crisper as if a young lady was crunching tunefully on an apple; now, the sound appeared much more soothing, as if a young college girl was reciting a passage from the textbook calmly.
"As long as it doesn't sound gloomy and ominous..." Ren Suo muttered under his breath. He used to like watching the animation of "Thriller Paradise", but he would always end up skipping the OP (opening theme) as he was scared of hearing the different people saying "Welcome to Thriller Paradise" in various sinister and gloomy tones.
Ren Suo navigated to the safehouse inventory and heaved a sigh of relief when he saw his key still in the inventory, shining splendidly.

Regardless, Ren Suo soon found that it did not matter for now—his luck had not been sufficient for him to hit the 10% chance of receiving the reward.
He thought that it was better to believe that the promised rewards could actually be obtained rather than doubt the system. The game console could well be a holy treasure and would cut him some slack and increase his chances of obtaining the special rewards upon seeing that he was sincere and faithful. If licking the game console could earn him bonus points, Ren Suo was sure to do so to such a large extent that the console would appear to have been waxed.
Nervously, Ren Suo opened the treasure chest he had earned from completing the game [A Strong Warrior Ascends 10,000 Meters].

In the game [A Strong Warrior Ascends 10,000 Metres], it would have no big deal if he had just been a matchstick character jumping from one platform to another. However, it had been translated into reality by a female Seeker climbing the 10000-meter-tall Hyjal mountain, and it was highly illogical and unthinkable to have happened in real life.
Putting aside the last scene where the Seeker "Transcended Nothingness in accordance to Dao" (this was the explanation that appeared most frequently in the bullet comments on the screen, and this showed the increasing prevalence of online novels in influencing the spread of Taoist culture) for a moment, the fact that the Seeker could climb from 0 meters above sea level all the way up to the peak at 10,000 meters above sea level without any sleep or rest was sufficient to make people suspect that she could just as well be a robot devised by a mad scientist.
It is a known fact that no one on earth can survive without sleep, and only an extremely small handful of extraordinary people (less than five) can remain in a conscious state of full alertness for close to 24 hours. In actual fact, these people merely distributed their sleep times throughout the day, and thus they could complete one sleep cycle in tens of seconds when they closed their eyes for a very short amount of time. As such, it would seem like they could remain awake forever without sleeping. Regardless, the longest record for a human remaining awake without sleep was for 11 consecutive days.
It is also a known fact that no one on earth can survive longer than 2~7 days without water, and no one on earth can survive longer than 90 days without food. Nonetheless, these are extreme cases and in reality, these timings would be shortened based on one's physical and mental conditions.
Without a doubt, the Seeker's physical capabilities and mental conditions were those of the highest limits of humans. It did not seem illogical for the Seeker not to sleep or rest, nor eat or drink for five consecutive days...but as if!
In those five days, the Seeker was almost consistently expanding a large amount of energy as she climbed the cliffs and walked the forests. In contrast, those who held the records of not sleeping or eating or drinking for the longest periods of time would have been lying down to minimize movement and hence energy expenditure. Furthermore, there was no reason to doubt that the Seeker was fake for there was a video recording of her entire journey up the mountain, and there were even real people appearing in the video. There were absolutely no loopholes.
The Seeker had encountered people from Xuan Nation as well as those from other countries, and foreign video streaming sites on the internet were already bustling with the commotion about the Seeker. Some television stations had also conducted long-distance video interviews with people who encountered the Seeker while on their expedition journey. As such, there was absolutely no doubt that the Seeker was real.
The unquestionable fact that the Seeker was real was naturally the reason why people began suspecting that the Seeker was one of the group of special people who were termed as "Extraordinaires" or those who had "Awakened" and who were trending on the internet periodically. Furthermore, the last scene where the Seeker turned into a bright light made people's minds wander especially wild.
Now, with the ability [Unlimited Energy], Ren Suo figured that she was not a Practitioner but an ordinary person. The strongest ordinary person on earth!
"But this ability comes at a price...that's tricky," Ren Suo said as he scratched his head.
For every one second [Unlimited Energy] is equipped, one second would be deducted from one's lifespan. That meant that if Ren Suo equipped the ability when had 50 more years to live, his lifespan would be halved to just 25 more years when he might quickly age and die.
On second thought, Ren Suo figured that he may not even be able to live to half his original lifespan. Today, the probability of one dying of old age was low; instead, most people would suffer from geriatric diseases and die due to the immune system weakening with age. By this logic, after cutting his lifespan by half, Ren Suo thought that it was highly likely that he would grow into old age much faster and suffer from various geriatric diseases at a much earlier age and consequently die even earlier.
But I will still try it and see how it feels like first, thought Ren Suo.
Ren Suo opened the [Equipment] page and removed the currently equipped [Fighter Novice] ability. He then equipped himself with the [Unlimited Energy] ability.
The moment he equipped himself with the ability, Ren Suo felt that something was amiss.
He had felt lazy and slightly drained physically due to practicing the advanced breathing technique just moments ago as if an ordinary person feeling fatigued from a jaw ache after sucking on river snails. He also felt mentally drained as if he had just completed a three-hour-long comprehensive science examination and could not concentrate any longer. This was also why he had stopped practicing and returned to his game console.
However, after equipping the ability [Unlimited Energy], Ren Suo felt refreshed and alert, as if he had just finished reading a number of erotica books. He also felt physically energized like he had just ended work and relaxed like he had removed a few hundred jin of fats from his body.
Ren Suo stood up from the couch and started jumping around his house. He first did 100 push-ups and after realizing he was not tired at all, he started doing sit-ups while performing the advanced level breathing technique and continued practicing...

An immense, unending aching pain radiated through his entire body as if an octopus was attacking him. He felt as if his body no longer belonged to him; he was just a soul attached to a rotting physical body.
"Equip, quickly equip with [Unlimited Energy]..." Ren Suo thought Ren Suo. But he quickly dismissed the foolish idea.
After a good ten minutes, Ren Suo was finally able to straighten his waist slowly and crawled back to the couch like a baby. He looked at the ability [Unlimited Energy] in the [Backup] list on the [Equipment] page. A wave of fear rushed over him.
Ren Suo had never tried smoking before, nor had he ever tried using illegal drugs. However, Ren Suo knew that this ability had many similarities to those illegal items which were addictive.
They were both harmful and would lead to over-reliance. It would be hard to escape when addicted to them.
Ren Suo knew that if he equipped himself with the [Unlimited Energy] ability now in order to escape from the physical aching pain and mental tiredness, then he would become reliant on the ability for his entire life. He would never be able to escape from the grip of the ability and with it, his lifespan would indubitably be shortened by half.
With the ability, it was as if one escaped the hells and ascended to the heavens, and the feeling of a healthy body was naturally exceptionally tempting. Ren Suo even began to think that the ability could cause the brain to secrete more endorphins, for he felt that the ache and pain from his muscles seemed to be suppressed.
This was akin to having a tonic for a poison. If he did not want to age early, Ren Suo knew that he should only use this ability in times of emergency to save his life.
He understood that equipping such an ability just to last him through the night while playing games was a luxurious waste and he could only fantasize doing so.
After some time, Ren Suo figured that he still did not have the strength to head downstairs for his meal and decided to call the Jian Ji stall located downstairs with his mobile phone.
"Hello," Ren Suo said.
"All right," came the reply from the other end of the phone.
Ren Suo glanced at his phone and thought, did the telephone at the Jian Ji stall downstairs have a caller number display...?
Ren Suo sat up on the couch with some effort and opened the [World Store]. He navigated quickly to the [Free Game of the Month] section and exclaimed, "I choose you!"
After a night of contemplation and sleep, Ren Suo finally decided that the lucky game to be selected by him would be—
[Over My Dead Body]!

This was it. Today was the day.


For once, I was already in my office, sitting at my desk, when Ms. Kang came in. If she was surprised, she didn't let it show. Maybe she expected it, considering what we were here for today.


"How did it go with the thriller?" I asked, fiddling with my tablet.


"The introduction went quite well," said Ms. Kang. "The body was found a week ago at a certain cemetery in Tokyo, and the protagonist reacted just as planned."


"And?"


"No further developments yet, but it's been a week," Ms. Kang continued. "If she doesn't do something this week, then I'll consider the thriller storyline a failure."


"Let's hope for both our sakes that the protagonist is as interesting as you thought she would be," I said, standing up. Ms. Kang nodded curtly.


I walked over to the center of the room, and took off my shirt, revealing a body marked with tattoos. The black markings stood out against my white skin. I noted Ms. Kang's eyes going wide, and couldn't help but grin.


I closed my eyes, summoning my magic. I could feel it pulsing as I directed my magic outwards, forcing it into the shapes I had imprinted onto my body. It flowed smoothly into the ink, making it glow red. I let the magic settle, running through the shapes, learning its purpose.


I opened my eyes, and looked over to Ms. Kang. She seemed entranced by the entire thing, allowing her cool facade to slip a little. I grinned.


"Let's begin."

March 1, 6:04 am, Beijing, China.


Ding!


'Oh, level up,' thought Irade absentmindedly as she stirred from her sleep. Then she realized that made no sense.


She blinked in confusion and rubbed her eyes. Maybe it was a holdover from her dream. She remembered vaguely that it had something to do with gaming, but that might have just been the afterglow from yesterday's finals. It had been a hard won battle...


Nope. It was still there.


On the top corner of her vision, a small bar with the English letters HP written underneath it. Inside the bar were Arabic numerals reading 10/10, and above it was an Arabic script she could not read, with the Lv. 1 written in English next to it. Then, in the lower right corner of her vision was a flashing red exclamation point. No matter which way she looked, or how much she rubbed her eyes, they would not disappear.


'Maybe I should lay off the videogames for a while,' she thought, getting out of bed.


Irade's room was small, but neat. Then again, it was only neat because she didn't really have anything to display. A small bed, with a bedside table and clock on it, and a wardrobe and mirror on the other side of the room. She had a little window above the bedside table that looked over the city below, but it was too high for her to see out of without something to stand on.


At the very least, it provided some good light in the morning.


She got dressed in her uniform, – a traditional blazer and tartan skirt – brushed her teeth and face, and walked through the apartment into the kitchen.


"Ah, Zhang Wei, come quickly while it's- oh."


A middle aged woman stood behind a table, clicking her tongue at Irade. She was dressed to the nines; in a flamboyant red dress with matching heels, with enough make up caked on her face to make a mime look subtle.


Irade stared at the woman for a moment, wondering if she should rub her eyes again. Then before she could get scolded, she bowed to the woman respectfully, who in turn clicked her tongue.


"Your tie isn't straight, do it again," she said. Irade immediately undid her tie.


"Not here!" she said. "Take your food and go!"


Irade's eyes immediately went to the table; it was loaded with all sorts of food. She looked around until she found it, on the counter near the fridge. A small plastic bag, which she knew was full of leftovers. The lady had taken it out in advance. That was nicer than usual of her.


"Hurry up and go, you'll be late for your bus!" the woman hissed.


"Bus?" said a young, male voice.


The woman's demeanor instantly changed as she saw a boy, no older than ten, walk into the kitchen, still in his pyjamas.


"Zhang Wei!" she cried, as if she hadn't seen the boy in years. Irade couldn't help but roll her eyes as she rushed out of the room with her food. Cold dumplings, bought from the stall outside the internet cafe on her way back from home yesterday.


Irade made sure to have her jacket on tight while she took the elevator down, then opened the bag of food once she got out. The smog wasn't too bad today, so she forwent the mask.


Beijing wasn't too cool this time of year, but neither was it warm. Irade felt her fingers slowly freezing as she ate her dumplings on her way to the bus stop. She expertly dodged the people around her,  used to the morning business.


Soon, she reached her stop, and sat down at the waiting area next to the old lady that smelled of tobacco, and the young office-worker that pretended to look at his phone while ogling her. In the past, he had tried to make conversation with her when they were alone.


"Your Chinese is really good!" he said once.


"I'm Uyghur," she had replied.


Ever since, he hadn't attempted to talk to her, which suited Irade fine. She didn't mind the sneaky looks, as long as he didn't try to touch or talk her.


It's not like she could actually do anything about it.


She ate in silence, finishing before the bus came and doing her tie up once she got onto her seat.


On the trip to school, she looked around the bus. Old lady sat at the back, office-worker at the front on his phone, and there was the pregnant lady who had started taking this bus to the hospital a few months ago. She was coming along quite well it seemed, as she looked tired, but happy.


Above them all were their names, with Lv. 0 next to them.


'Feng Guo,' she noted the name of the pervert, before looking out the window. Usually, she liked watching the people go about their lives as she made her way to school, the roar of the bus' engine somewhat comforting. Today, however...


That blinking exclamation point at the corner of her vision was getting annoying. It didn't seem to be a hunger meter or anything, as it was still there after eating breakfast. She wondered how she could open it.


As soon as the thought of opening it crossed her mind, a message appeared.


[Congratulations, you have Leveled Up!]


[HUD unlocked!]


[Daily Tasks unlocked!]


[Stat Points rewarded!]


Irade blinked as the lines of dialogue popped up. Miraculously, they were all in Chinese, instead of English like she was expecting. She read it all carefully, brow creasing with each line.


Stat Points? Daily Tasks?


What did that all mean?


Well, the HUD was probably just this whole...vision thing that was happening. But level up? Everyone else was at level 0, but it did show that she was level 1. How did that happen? What did she do to level up?


That probably wasn't the best question to ask right now. A better question would be to find out what her stats and Daily Tasks were.


Irade frowned, fighting the urge to swipe the image in front of her. That would definitely be a weird thing to do in public.


How had she opened the message before? She had thought about 'opening' it...so maybe, to open her stats screen she should-


And there it is. Stats screen.


[HP: 10/10]


[Strength: 4]


[Speed: 9]


[Intelligence: 10]


[Agility: 5]


[MP: 20/20]


MP? She had Mana Point, aka Mana, aka Magic? Did that mean she could use magic? For the first time since that morning, Irade felt a twinge of excitement about this strange impediment to her vision, but she quickly quashed them. No, she shouldn't get too excited.


First of all, what the hell was this? Level up? Stats? What was all these game-like terms invading the real world like this? Sure, there were stories about ordinary people getting game-like cheats in real life, but they were all stories. Fiction. In the real world, if something like this happened, it would be more likely to be some sort of mental illness manifesting.


That's right. Irade calmed herself down. There was no way this was real. It was probably just her mind's way to cope with stress. School was getting rather tough lately. This was just a way to deal with stress, nothing at all. It would be better if she did not interact with the delusion any more; better to let the delusion go.


As such, she ignored it as she got off the bus and started her school day.


Her school was a decently-sized building, though it only had six stories. That said, the ceiling was quite high for each floor. In turn, that gave it large windows, making practically everything inside visible. Irade thought it looked like one of those modern dollhouses, where you could see the insides without opening it up.


She went by her day as usual, keeping her head down and focusing on anything but studying. She managed to get until lunch before thinking about the HUD again.


As usual, she sat in the cafeteria alone, eating her lunch, when a boy suddenly sat next to her. Irade narrowed her eyes. What the hell was going on? There were literally dozens of other empty tables he could have sat down at. Why this one?


"Irade, right?" he asked.


Irade nodded, mouth full of noodles. She noticed his name on the HUD: Fan Mo.


"I've noticed you around for a while now," he started, which made Irade narrow her eyes. How? When? She was never in school if she could help it. Where would he have noticed her?


The only place Irade hung out was the internet cafe near the food district. But she never noticed him there, ever. And according to her stats – not that they were real – her perception was her best trait.


"Do you want to go out with me?" he blurted out, causing Irade to choke on her noodles. Instead of helping her however, he simply burst out into laughter.


It was only after she coughed up her noodles did she notice the other students recording the whole reaction on their phones. Her ears burned with embarrassment as she stood up.


"No thank you!" she yelled, causing everyone to laugh harder. She rushed to the bathroom before she could make an even bigger fool of herself.


Stupid. Why had she even said anything? He was obviously asking her out as a joke in front of his friends.


Part of her, however, was simply bewildered that this was even happening. Sure, she had heard from other people that this sort of bullying happened, and it was always shown in dramas and novels, but Irade never actually expected it to happen in real life.


Then again, she never expected to suddenly gain a game-like cheat ability in real life either. Not that it was much of a cheat. It was just a HUD, with her lack of stats on display for everyone. She didn't even have any skills.


At the thought of 'skills,' another, glass-like square popped up.


[Skills: Flight: Lv. 0]


She stared at it for a second. Seriously? A Skill? Flight?


From the Skill name, it sounded a little too good to be true. If only there was something like a description she could read...


Ah. Description.

Well. That seems to check out. Not that she could do anything with...


Wait a second.


A plan crystallized in her mind, but still she hesitated. Could she really trust the HUD? What if it really was all a delusion? Would there be any way for her to check-

The HUD said his name was Fan Mo, right? She had never met him, never seen him before. So if she could just get a hold of she school yearbook, look up Fan Mo…


That would mean her HUD is real, and that it isn't something her mind is making up to deal with her stress.


All she needed was a yearbook.


If only she had a yearbook.


Or a friend who would lend her a yearbook.


She glanced at her phone for the time, and washed her face. Still some time before class. Maybe if she asked one of the teachers they could lend her one?


'It couldn't hurt to try,' she thought, leaving the bathroom.

"This world is truly...boring."

The Mage King, overthrown and killed by his own people, escaped via one last spell. Reincarnated in the body of a weak baby, he sets off to conquer the world once more.

Kais

Age: 20

Physical description: Short silver hair with red eyes which give him a strange appearence as no one on earth looks like that.An extremely athletic body that could put into shame most of the pro athlete.Way too much scars on his back that make him look like a war veteran while he has a single scar on his torso which is hidden by a spider tattoo. An incredibly handsome and innocent face that is often spoiled by a smile a little too empty to be truly innocent.

Personnality:Kais appears to be pretty calm and friendly but his real personnality is different.He is a sadistic and cruel man who love to mess with pretty much everyone except for his twin sister.While he seems to be some sort of evil character, he is in fact loving and caring when it comes to his precious people sadly they are too few to actually count.He can become a monster when his sister is in danger or when something truly piss him off but those times became less and less when he grew up.

Job: Actor(Assassin)

Favourite food: Everything made by his parents.Other than that he can eat pretty much everything.

hobbies: Murder, torture, video games, reading, listening to music.(mostly rap)

Story(just a quick summary):Kais grew up with a loving family in France but he quickly saw that he was 'different' while his sister loved normal things, he loved to torture animals and to mess with everyone.Fortunately for him it seems that his sister was just acting since she was afraid of what would happen if anyone knew how...Special, she was.They grew up being always together as if nothing could separate them but a problem soon appeared.Their parents began to fight way too much and when their 16th birthday came, their parents told them that they want to divorce.Instead of being sad or angry the twins just said that they were okay with it  since they wanted their parents to live a happy life, but something made them extremely angry.Their father wanted to take Kais with him while their mother wanted Sana(his sister)Naturally the twins wanted to stay with each other but they had to obey to their parents since they weren't adults yet.They lived separately for 2 years and during those years Kais became an actor even though it was quite difficult giving how young he was.He also became an assassin but it was just a side job to gain money.When he finally became an adults he immediately took the first flight to miami and moved in with his sister.He lived a happy life for 2 years before he was suddenly teleported somewhere during his sleep.It was then that the most interesting part of his life began.


Sana

Age: 20

Size: 6'1

Weight: 88 kg

Physical description: Long and curly silver hair and red eyes.An athletic body with some baby fat left but an overall impressive build for such a young woman.She has an even more beautiful face than her brother and contrarily to him her smile is real, even though it's a dangerous and way too seductive smile.

Personnality:Sana appears to be an energetic girls who's happy no matter what may happen to her but again it's nothing but a deception.She is a seductress who love to use her 'talents' and looks to manipulate everyone around her and treat them like slaves.She is also extremely cruel but she's not a sadist like her brother, event though she still can become a monster for the same reasons as him.Her love for her brother is extreme and can easily be described as a brother complex.She knows him so well that she acts depending on his mood , after all she knows that even with how much she loves him and most importantly how strong she is, there's still a side of him that can easily change her into a sobbing little girl unable to do anything.

Favourite food: Anything expensive.(The more expensive the better it is)

Hobbies: Video games, reading mangas and novels, seducing people and using them as slaves to gain money or advantages, buying expensive things.


Story:It's pretty much the same as Kais but the 2 years she spent with her mother were different than the 2 years Tsarck spent in france.Since she wasn't the type of woman to work, she decided to use her incredibles talents to seduce a female singer who lived in miami.After 2 months which was extremely big considering that she could seduce anyone with only a look, she finally gained the love of the woman.She used her as a slave but this time to ensure her love she stayed with her most of the time and continued to act like a loving woman.Unfortunately she had to stop when her brother came back since she became too busy spending all of her time with him.Contrarily to what she thought the female singer was incerdibly affected by her departure and fell into a deep depression as she really loved her.Not wanting to have the woman pursuing her , Sana just ignored her and acted as if she never even existed, which made the female singer even more sad.Finally the woman couldn't take it anymore and decided to kill herself by jumping from her hotel roof.She left a letter where she detailed how much she loved Sana and how much her departure had left a scar in her heart, she mentioned that a life without Sana(Who actually forgot about her after just a month)wasn't worth living.The female singer was Shakira.

The situation is pretty simple.You pick the two most interesting twins on earth and put them in differents world to see what happens.

Unfortunately it seems that they weren't gonna act like many before them.

"Hey Sis!That Shark guy is fighting with the good guys!"

"Oh!It's Little Kisame!Let's help him and kill them all!"


Maybe sending them in those worlds wasn't a good idea.....Nah!!It's gonna be funny!


(Just to be clear the twins won't go only to anime worlds.They will most certainly go to Dc or marvel or even to totally new worlds created by me.)
