I found this fan fiction on MTL novel and found it pretty interesting and thought it deserved more views.

Kimberly loves movies. Every movie is worth watching to her. She enjoys judging the cinematography and the acting quality. She and her friends always go together, until one day they get their signals crossed and Kimberly has to go to the movies alone. A tragedy to her, but a miracle to someone else.

The spectators started to scratch their head in total confusion. Since the moment they came to know about Arjun, the common sense of the cultivation world was failing to work against him. They all started to learn unique and bizarre things about the cultivation.

But these people were clever enough to find something about all these crazy and unique stuff. All these things were very strong and powerful than the cultivation system everyone were following. And the gap was truly wide.

They all sighed. They felt that it was too much of a stress to think all these things. They decided to just watch whatever happens in the future as if they were watching a movie with full of graphics.

(A/N - Of course, there exists no such thing as a graphical movie in this world 😎😎😎)

As people decided to take all the miraculous things done by Arjun casually, another miracle happened. Even though they decided to take things casually, the next miraculous things made them terrified.

The Moonlight Flower which grew around 30m in size after sucking the Dao of Darkness, started to undergo change in it's aura. A Dao attack was actually the manifestation of the caster's cultivation level. It depends on the caster's cultivation level. That means, since Arjun's current cultivation level could be around fourth awakening stage, then the power level of all his Dao attacks should be at the Fourth Awakening Stage level.

But the aura of the Moonlight Flower which was the manifestation of Arjun's Dao Spell, it should stay at the Fourth Awakening Stage power maximum. That was it's limit.

But this Moonlight Flower is undergoing the earth shattering transformation. It's aura was exploding along with immense vitality. To make the explanation simple, it's cultivation base which should be limited to fourth awakening stage as of now is actually increasing.

As people were looking dumbfoundedly, the cultivation base of the Moonlight Flower augmented suddenly and reached the peak of the Seventh Awakening Stage!

"Wh-What kind of evil trick is this?" ,Elder Sean who had also seen this transformation of the Moonlight Flower said in both anger and fear.

He was angered because even though he was a Seventh Awakening Stage powerhouse, he couldn't take down a brat who was at the fourth awakening stage. But that anger soon turned into fear as he found that the power of this damn flower has augmented and is now at the peak stage of the Seventh Awakening Stage.

What does that imply? It implies that this flower now had the power that surpassed even his own! That means, his life is no longer under safe zone. Arjun now had the power to do whatever he wants. Even though he didn't know what kind of sorcery Arjun applied for the power of that plant to grow, he knew that Arjun had the power to kill him now!

"You people look down on the ancient Dao practice too much." ,Arjun shook his head and said, "You just don't know what kind of miraculous things we could do with the Greater Dao!"

"Greater Dao?" ,This was the first time, elder Sean heard this word. He asked in anger and confusion, "What are you talking about? What is this Ancient Dao practice you are talking about? And what is this Greater Dao?"

"You are about to die. Why would you care about it?" ,Arjun said nonchalantly.

"Sick him!" ,Arjun ordered the Moonlight Flower.

As if it was waiting for these words from it's master, the Moonlight Flower immediately took action after receiving it's orders. It was as if it had legs and mouth. The entire Moonlight Flower's plant jumped into the air while generating immense shockwaves. At the same time, a mouth opened at the bud section of the flower. This mouth was giant. And within the mouth, one could see nothing but eternal darkness. No one could see anything.

Not only it's size, but with the increment in the cultivation base, it's speed also increased. Even Elder Sean failed to judge it's speed despite being at the Initial Stages of the Seventh Awakening Stage. After all, the Moonlight Flower now had the power of a Peak Seventh Awakening Stage!

This simple crouch from the Moonlight Flower almost felt as if the space was going to rip apart for the spectators. They couldn't bear with this pressure as they all retreated further and further away. The Elders level figures were on their knees. The people with weak Cultivation Base were having even worse situation. Too many people coughed blood as the pressure was too much to take. Some people even died from excessive blood loss!

People were worrying about their own situation. So even the thought of looking at the outcome of the battle between Arjun and Elder Sean didn't even occur in their mind. They feared that they might die just from shockwaves. The difference between the initial stages and the peak stage of the seventh awakening stage is truly vast.

Majority of the people even including the elder level figures rarely seen the powerhouse of a seventh awakening stage, Needless to say, experiencing their strength. As for a powerhouse who is at the peak of the seventh awakening stage, none of them had seen one. As for seeing their fight, it is pointless to speak.

The point is, they had underestimated the powerhouse of the seventh awakening stage. Just the jump from a flower terrified them and forced them to even vomit blood from unbearable pressure. What if a peak seventh awakening stage expert goes all out? This imagination itself might kill them.

During this period when pressure generated from the Moonlight Flower, only two people stood firmly. One of them is Bruce. During these tricky situation, an artifact from his family saved him from this pressure. So he was able to stand firm.

As for the other person, it was naturally Arjun. He was the owner of  the Moonlight Flower. So his own power won't bite him. So he stood firmly.

Others might have missed it. But Arjun and Bruce saw what happened to Elder Sean. During his last moments, he tried many spells in just a split seconds. But nothing worked. The terrified Elder Sean finally tasted the fear of death. But alas, during his last moments, his sect never came to his rescue. He understood that against a terrifying opponent, his backing is pointless.

With unwillingness and despair, Elder Sean became the food for the Moonlight Flower. Elder Sean never imagined that he will become such a legend! The first poor Seventh Awakening Stage expert who died in the hands of the a fourth awakening stage brat! 

Alas, this kind of legend actually no one wanted to have. But Elder Sean became the first victim of this legend!

This is the world where magicians are respected.. and the weak people ar doomed. Arjun Kumar our main protagonist is dsired to become the great magician but later finds that he has no "magic core" at all. Arjun didn't fell disappointed. He trains in Willpower the lengthy and time consuming way.

But his fate changes when he meets a poweful Dragon named 'Magneel' who is kind to Humans and gives his power to Arjun and trains him.

"It has everything to do with Brad." She said and then went towards the attic. Everything was deathly silent. Only the pitter-patter of the drops of water falling from the tap in the kitchen sink onto the plates could be heard. Amelia was dazed, Darcy was confused and Isabella sat there as if nothing happened, until she heard a loud scream. 

Darcy and Amelia immediately dashed to the attic, where the scream came from. Isabella followed her daughters gathering her shawl and spectacles. She could only helplessly climb the stairs, with her walking stick. She sighed in her heart. Who told that old woman to go upstairs? She must have slipped! She cursed her a thousand times in her heart. 

When she went upstairs, she saw her daughters standing like a statue at the doorway. She scooted forward only to find her mother-in-law gaping wide-eyed at something. She slowly turned her head and what she saw next, left her dumbfounded, too. 

There was a circular trap-door on the ceiling of the attic and a staircase spiraled in the middle of the attic. She was never allowed inside the room before. She even heard from her mother-in-law that she herself hasn't gone inside the room before. No one knows what's inside it. But the spectacular sight was, that door was glowing in brilliant shades of yellow and blue. 

The yellow and blue light was spiraling all around the door and it mixed in the middle. The two lights never rippled, and seemed as if those two light were playing with each other. Isabella was dumbfounded at her own ideas. She shook her head to get rid of such ideas and concentrated on the wide-eyed Chelsea. 

She went inside, pushing her daughters out of the way and patted her mother-in-law on her back. "There there, are you okay Mom?"
"Huh?" Chelsea was still not in her senses. She looked at her daughter-in-law confusedly. She slowly regained her senses and said, "Yeah, I'm… I'm okay. Bring me some water, please."

Isabella looked at Darcy, indicating her to fetch a water bottle from the kitchen. Darcy nodded her head in understanding, and darted towards the kitchen downstairs. She grabbed a bottle of water as fast as she could and ran upstairs. 

When she reached upstairs, she saw the same scene when she left. Her mother patting her grandma on her back and her sister standing there like a rock. She handed the bottle to her mother and nudged her sister. "Sis, what do you think is going on?"

"I…" Amelia cleared her throat and tried again, "I don't know."
"Hmm. These seem so interesting. I love magic and everything. Have you watched that movie? It was so wonderful." Darcy kept on rambling. 
"What movie?"
"Ah?"
"You said something about a movie, right? So, what movie?"
"It's Harry Potter. The magic and spells. My son is in love with that series. I used to watch with him. And his bedtime stories are also related to Harry Potter." She laughed with glee as she continued rambling about Harry Potter and her son. 

Amelia thought in her heart, 'Why Brad? What is going on? How will I find out about everything?' Amelia did not know what to do anymore. She clutched her forehead as she thought. 

When Chelsea calmed down enough, Isabella asked her, "Mom, what are these lights?"
Chelsea took a deep breath and said, "Someone is going through an awakening."
"Awakening?"
"Yes, awakening."
"What is that?" Darcy asked curiously and Amelia lifted her head to listen attentively, as she understood that this was the key-point. She knew exactly who was going through the awakening. She did not believe at first, but now, she was sure. She asked herself, 'Why Brad of all people? Why?'

"It is like this… That person, left something inside this place, and only when awakening occurs, something will change. He did not mention clearly what will change, but I guess, this is the thing he was talking about."

"But, Grandma, you said earlier that we are only supposed to guard it, and some eternal being can only claim it with his/her contracted beast." Darcy interrupted her grandma. 

"Yes, that was what I believed, but before leaving this place, the king and the queen blessed us that someone from our family will have the fortune to be a part of this. I don't know all the details, but there must be something left behind by our ancestors, and it might be in this room. I was going to find that when I saw this door glowing." She patted her chest as she said these things. 

Darcy was very interested in magic and ancient times. On the other hand, Amelia was looking at the trap door with interest. There were few lines on her forehead. She looked at the attic and she thought to herself, 'Did I do the right thing by coming here? But, then again, I understood that it has definitely got something to do with this household. But Brad never stepped in here. Will he come? What if he doesn't come? What will happen to the thing? Is that really related to Brad?' 

Lots of questions were running through her mind, and she did not know what to do. She stared at everything and felt a headache coming. She looked at her younger sister who was very interested in these thing, and shook her head. She could not reveal this to her. Actually, she can't reveal these to anyone. She sighed and shook her thoughts off. 

She tried to bring a genuine smile on her face. Being a Mayor's wife had its own perks. She became good at pretending. She smiled at her thoughts, and then tried a few more times before a genuine smile blossomed on her face. Then she said, "Mom, Grandma, I think I should go home now. You all know how Stephan is. He will be worried if I stay too long here." 

The smile did not falter as she lied with a straight face. She bid adieu to everyone as she gathered her belongings and left. Darcy stood there with a glowing face, not knowing what was going on, but Isabella and Chelsea looked at each other, worry etched on their old faces.

Dream, paint and Inwood Hills were the three things Brad loved the most. Brad Holman, a nineteen year old boy was an Arts Major at the Bronx University College. He dreamt of obtaining a legacy in an underground place filled with magic.

Now that she had decided to go out, Sheng Xiaoling immediately ran into the house and took out a cream colored canvas bag. She carried the bag on her shoulders before rushing to retrieve her piggy bank. 
Everything she saved was to buy snacks. Shen Xiaoling was incredibly excited as she felt that her life was improving. Since she was younger, she had been watching videos shot in the 1970s and 1980s on the internet with her brother. After watching, Hong Xiaofu would say to her, "Look, although our lives are difficult, it is much better than what it was like in the past." That comment made her feel particularly happy and at ease. 
"We can buy candied gourd today, hohoho!" Shen Xiaoling poured out the contents from her piggy bank. After gathering ten coins, she was going to put the rest back as she usually shared the candied gourd with her brother—they would take turns to eat it. One for him, one for her. 
That day, however, Shen Xiaoling pondered as she looked at the six five-cent coins. She gritted her teeth as she took out another four coins, "Brother's income has doubled, so we can get two sticks of candied gourd, one stick for me, and one stick for my brother! How lavish!" 
She happily packed up, and after Hong Xiaofu was all ready, they hit the streets. 
Speaking of that, the pair of siblings seldom went out. In the age of materialistic desires, ordinary people who casually headed out to buy something would easily spend more than 80 yuan. Hong Xiaofu and Shen Xiaoling could not afford such luxuries. Hence, they had decided to simply not go and avoid all temptations. 
But humans are social animals, and it is not good to be cooped up at home all day. So the pair would occasionally head out to the streets for window shopping. Then, they would buy the cheapest necessities before heading home. 
"Shencheng Transport Authorities would like to remind you that there are thousands of roads and safety comes first. If driving is not standardized, your family will be in tears." 
In those days, the slogan by the Shencheng Transport Authorities, Wandering Planet, was trendy. As the siblings hit the main street, they could hear it blasting from the patrol cars. 
Shen Xiaoling held onto Hong Xiaofu's hands and smiled, "Brother, my classmate told me that this movie is great. It tells the story of how the sun is going to explode in the future." 
"I have heard about it, too," Hong Xiaofu looked at his sister and said, with a wide smile, "Let's go watch it when I receive my student grant. We would get 3000 yuan, and it would not be as crowded as it is now. Then, we will also get to enjoy the feeling of having the entire theater to ourselves!" 
"Really?!" Shen Xiaoling's eyes immediately lit up, glistening as if stars were flashing inside them, "That's awesome! We can finally watch a movie in the cinema!" 
Shen Xiaoling's words were absolutely true. They had never watched a movie in the cinema before. The price of a regular movie ticket cost over 40 yuan and 3DMAX tickets cost close to 70 yuan. How many steam buns could one buy with that? 
At that moment, upon hearing that she could finally watch a movie in the cinema, Shen Xiaoling instantly felt that her life had improved. She was such an innocent and sweet girl—she had never blamed God. Before, she had slept in a hole under the bridge, but now, she has a place to call home. Although she was born an orphan, she had someone she called her brother, who doted on her. 
Shen Xiaoling only focused on the privileges she had, and how her life had improved in comparison with the past. She never blamed others, and had always been happy and content. Shen Xiaoling certainly was as pure as a piece of blank paper, and as radiant as a rainbow. God had given her a pair of beautiful eyes that were full of energy, allowing her to see the beauty of the world. 
"Oh, Brother! Wait for me!" Shen Xiaoling suddenly shook Hong Xiaofu's hands. She rushed forward and picked up an empty mineral water bottle that someone had littered on the road. She put the empty bottle in her canvas bag before running back to Hong Xiaofu's side, "That's one-cent in our pocket!"
It was a habit that Shen Xiaoling had developed when she had left the orphanage at the age of eight. 
She knew that she was unable to make money for the family. But all diligent and hardworking people in society would not always be hungry—an empty bottle could be sold for one-cent. If she sold five bottles a day, she could make five cents, and that would be sufficient to purchase a fluffy, plain steam bun.
"It seems that we will have a good harvest today," Hong Xiaofu laughed, "It hasn't been long since we left the house, I feel like we should be able to pick at least ten bottles today, right?"
Shen Xiaoling pouted delightfully, "No, I want to pick twenty!" 
The two strolled around Soon, the pair of siblings arrived at the nearest neighborhood mall: Tianfu Commercial Plaza. From afar, Shen Xiaoling saw a huge sign right outside the pharmacy, "Oh, Brother, look at the sign! I think it's about the Awakening! Hurry, let's go take a look at it!" 
Hong Xiaofu turned his head immediately to take a look. In the direction that Shen Xiaoling had pointed, there was indeed a meter tall sign placed outside the pharmacy. It read "New arrival! Awakener XXXXX…" The words at the back were blocked by pedestrians, making it hard to make out. 
Awakener and medicinal drug, Hong Xiaofu was caught off guard—was it the drug for those on the Awakener Quota?
After thinking about it carefully, that would be highly unlikely. 
Zhao Ming had such a hard time trying to find it. It wouldn't be openly sold in the market, would it?
For a moment, Hong Xiaofu was extremely curious: how was that drug related to the Awakening? After all, Hong Xiaofu had Awakened—hence, he was particularly interested in matters related to it. 
The two of them headed toward the pharmacy. As they got closer, they finally had a good look at the sign: New arrival! Awakening drug to increase your Awakening talents! One for 4988 yuan. Awakeners, what are you waiting for? Come in and buy one!

Shen Xiaoling obviously knew the meaning behind the numbers. She broke into a smile instantly, "Oh, that's so expensive. Brother, let's just go get our candied gourd…"

While they spoke, the siblings arrived at the candied gourd stand. The owner of the stall was a lady in her fifties, who asked cheerily, "Hey kid, what flavor do you want?" 
"Two sticks of strawberries!" Shen Xiaoling answered excitedly—she would finally get to enjoy the candied gourd. Her eyes sparkled in excitement, "I want this… and that, these two are big ones!" 
She said that as she took out the twenty five-cent coins. After counting them carefully, she confirmed that it was the right amount and handed them over to the stand owner. One stick of candied gourd was five dollars, two sticks would be exactly ten dollars. 
The stall owner immediately handed over the two sticks of candied gourd that Shen Xiaoling had chosen. She took them carefully. Just when she was going to pass one of the sticks to Hong Xiaofu, she heard a loud voice, "Oh, Brother Fu! What are you doing here?!"
The siblings turned their heads. They saw a young man who was dressed in an expensive jacket, hair neatly combed and styled. The young man walked toward the siblings confidently. 
Wasn't he the fire Awakener, Shencheng's one and only Li He?

"Master, two ugly ghouls are coming from the right corner!" Silver Moon spoke. "Four from the left!" 

Ming Yue rushed toward the right and in fast speed, she slashed the first ghoul and cut of the head of the second one. Yang Lixin who already adapted--even though forcefully, to supernatural things that was happening right at this moment, shot one of the ghoul while Bai Hu helped with his wind, shredding the rest to pieces. Ling Mao who was running along side everyone noticed how the ghouls kept appearing, it was endless. 

"Master, it was endless to destroy the ghouls!" Ling Mao said. 

"I know!" Ming Yue stabbed the ghoul that was about to emerge from the black stained wall. "But we need to keep destroying it until we reached the assembly hall!" 

"Qing Long!" Ming Yue shouted and huge dragon appeared on the first floor hallway, Ming Yue didn't even care when Qing Long's huge body made a dent on the ceiling and some parts of the hallway. Yang Lixin held his breath when he saw the huge dragon, his eyes widened in shock. 

"Prevent those stupid people to charge at the ghouls!" Ming Yue pointed to behind her. 

Because the panic students noticed that because of the soft wind breeze that was enveloping their body, the ghoul couldn't attack them. They couldn't get too near either. Thus, courage slowly came to some boys and they began charging at the ghouls. However if they did, it would be harder to transport them all to assembly hall. 

"Yes, Master!" Qing Long moved his body, heading toward the students, destroying more walls along the hallway with each movements. His front claw destroyed some of the ghouls who dared to charge at him. 

'We will have to think of how to fix these walls and ceiling later..' Ming Yue sighed as she mused inwardly. 

"Master! I sense huge negative energy, coming from above!" Silver Moon and Bai Hu said at the same time, Yang Lixin shot two more ghouls that was emerging from the wall while Ling Mao jumped and made a slash with her paws at one of them. 

"Above.." Ming Yue frowned before speaking, "Probably the rooftop." 

"Little moon!" Mo Liu walked down the stairs after he kicked two of the ghouls, slammed it to wall. Following behind him were students, some of them carried mops and brooms, looked like they took whatever they could use. Doctor Yan Zhu also came along with Mo Liu and judging by the way she punched one of the ghoul that was about to emerge from the black stained wall, she was not an ordinary doctor. 

Ming Yue turned her gaze to the stairs and clicked her tongue, looked like she couldn't make people stayed where they were. Well maybe it was a matter of course, humans didn't want to just sit and waited for their deaths when danger came. On the other hand, Mo Liu who saw black cat, man in black suit and huge tiger stayed by Ming Yue's side, not to mention the sword on her hand, halted his steps for a moment before continuing forward. Whispers could be heard behind him. 

"Look, it's Ming Yue! Why is she carrying a sword?" 

"That huge tiger! where did it come from?!"

"And the black cat! It slashed one of those creature!" 

"Who is the man beside her? He looks like a person from Man In Bl*ck Movie!" 

"Don't tell me, are we in the movie filming right now? are these creatures just Special Effects?"

"Are you stupid? that movie is already out in theater! this is real!" 

"Look! that is a dragon right?!"

"Little moon, I am glad you are okay." Mo Liu said, ignoring all the whispers behind him, even though some sounded ridiculous to his ears. He didn't realize that he called her not using the term 'Student Ming Yue' but with endearment instead. Some students noticed this and also Doctor Yan, she raised a brow as she stared at Mo Liu. "This is.." Mo Liu glanced at the her party members and the dragon at the opposite side where Ming Yue and him stood. 

Ming Yue knew what he wanted to ask, she didn't have time to explain. "No time to explain! Come with me to assembly hall!" She said in a hurry and started to dash toward the double door that was located at the far end of the hallway. 

"Follow her! No time to waste!" Mo Liu ordered the students who were behind him and ran along, following Ming Yue from behind. 

His eyes fixed on her figure, watching how her slashed, stabbed, cut those creatures with her sword. It was so dazzling and took his breath away. The young girl in front of him looked elegant and fiery at the same time. More whispering could be heard from the students.

"Wow! Ming Yue looks so cool!" one of the girl student commented.

"How did she get the sword? Did she have a sort of awakening event?" one of the boy student wondered.

"What awakening event?" another boy asked.

"You know in those RPG games, a main character will have awakening event in dangerous situation." 

"Stop with the stupid conversation and move your feet!" Finally Doctor Yan who couldn't stand the boys silly conversation, shouted in anger. Although deep inside, Doctor Yan herself was curious. Looking at the huge tiger, black cat, man in black suit and a dragon, It seemed they were connected to this Ming Yue girl. She even slashed those creepy creatures as if she had done it many times. 

Who was Ming Yue exactly? 
That question lingered in everyone's mind but they didn't dare to voice it out..

*SLASH* *SLASH* 

After slashing two ghouls near the double door that led to assembly hall, Ming Yue finally reached and touched it when the building shook once again. The students screamed, bending their knees slightly while holding on to each other. 

"Master!" Ling Mao shouted as she looked above. From the ceiling, red stain could be seen and soon it became a puddle then one by one, each drop fell to the floor. It was blood!! 

"No..." Ling Mao's eyes widened, "Master! Someone has started the death curse enchantment!" She shouted, horror was on her cat face. 

"What?! Death Curse?!" Bai Hu growled, 

Ming Yue abruptly lifted her head, staring at the blood puddle on the ceiling as something slowly came out from it. Tightened the grip on Silver Moon in her hand, Ming Yue mused inwardly. 

'Looks like there's still more to come.. huh..?'

Our story starts in an ordinary apartment complex in the city of Manchester, England. A man was stood in the small kitchen of his two bedroom apartment whistling a tune that was stuck in his head. He was abruptly cut off by the apartment door suddenly slamming shut, forcing him to place the pot of vegetables he was cooking down to a simmer.
As he turned around to meet with his sudden intruder he was met with a tackle as the 18 year old girl with whom he lodges with began uncontrollably crying on his chest. He was only startled for a second before he wrapped his arms around her and began to console her.
"Oh Christie, what's wrong?" He said in a sweet voice, unfitting of his large stature.
"It was Kurt...*sob,sob*...He slept with...*sob,sob*...Another woman!" Christie stuttered between sobs.
"I'm here Christie, what do you need me to do?" He asked while pulling her closer into his chest.
" I just need to sit down...*sob*...Will you?...Never mind it's stupid." She said as she broke from his embrace and went to walk to her room.
The man quickly grabbed her hand as she walked away.
"Hey whatever you're feeling is okay and normal, I asked you what you need so tell me." He said whilst he pulled her back towards him.
She looked startled for a moment but then did something that the man didn't expect at all, she grabbed his face and kissed him.
Him and Christie had been best friends since they were born, there birthdays were only four days apart and their mothers were childhood friends. Christie's mum had died when Christie was ten and her father had died before she was even born so she came to stay with him and his mum. That was until two years ago when a dungeon break occurred near their house, they got through it by hiding in the basement. Their mother however had gone to the near by store to buy some groceries and sadly didn't make it back.
From that day on they had moved to the other side of the city, far away from any gates, the rooms were small and the rent was steep but it was safer than anywhere else in the city.
Although he was surprised at first, he quickly responded to her kiss with one of his own. He re-wrapped his arms around her, ran his hand through her hair and began a passionate kiss, their tongues intertwining.
After about three long minutes of passion, the pan on the stove behind them began to whistle. They broke apart for a moment, keeping close to each other as the pan kept hissing loudly.
"Are you sure this is what you want Christie?" The man asked while looking deep into her eyes.
"Yeah Noah, I'm completely sure." She said with a giant smile on her face whilst wiping away her tears, "I just want you to hold me for a while, can you do that?"
"Tell you what: we can have dinner, then I'll put on a movie and we can just chill out and sleep on the couch, that okay?" He said whilst brushing her hair from her face.
"That sounds great." She said back while standing on her tiptoes and planting a kiss on his lips before separating and setting the table. Noah turned around and started dishing out the food he had just finished preparing.
They shared a wonderful dinner then watched a good action movie before falling asleep in each other's arms on the couch.

Noah awoke in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, he was lying on the ground paralysed and in extreme pain. He moaned and groaned in pain until Christie was roused from her slumber and dropped to his side with a concerned face. 
She pulled out her phone and dialled 999, the emergency services. She talked on the phone for about 10 minutes describing what was happening to Noah in great detail before a look of pure elation became plastered across her face.
She quickly thanked the woman on the other end of the phone and then hung up.
"Noah hang in there okay, this is the awakening process that will evolve your abilities. It may be painful, but the longer it takes the higher the chance of awakening a better power!" She said whilst grasping his hand firmly with a smile on her face.
Noah knew a lot about the awakening process as he was a hunter himself, that was the only reason he could afford their apartment in the first place. There were three different ways to earn an ability, the first way was just by being born, the world bestowed every individual an ability upon being born. You could check your abilities and stats by focusing on a little white spot in the bottom right of your vision, upon doing so a screen as such would appear:

The STR stat corresponds to the physical strength of the individual, the CON stat is for the constitution of the person and the INT stat represents intelligence and mental fortitude. The higher your stats, the greater your abilities will be.
The second way for someone to get an ability is to gain one from a dungeon. The boss monster of a dungeon had a small chance of having a skill stone buried in it's skull, and upon defeating it a hunter could take this stone and absorb it into their body to gain one of the boss's skills.
The third and final way is to go through an awakening like the one Noah is experiencing now, it was an extremely painful experience and no one knew how it was triggered. During the process, the world pulled apart and reconstructed your genetic code to show your potential, resulting in a boost in previous abilities as well as a new ability for you to use.
It was one of the best things that could happen to a hunter as they would get a free skill that could help them out massively when fighting monsters, and they would get a boost in their overall abilities as well.
Christie stayed by Noah's side feeling both pity and hope all night and all morning until the sun was high in the sky. That was when Noah finally awoke from the light coma he had slipped into.

In a conference room at a certain building in Los Angeles in the States.
Ian was sitting face to face with two Caucasian men and two of Asian descent.
"Do you know the consequences?" a forty some Caucasian man who was sitting in the middle glared at Ian with a fierce expression.
Ian received criticism immediately after he replaced Lu Jia'er's memory. It was inevitable that he had to face condemnation directly during this trip back to the States. Ian had been prepared mentally. "Yes!"
"All of the previous efforts in Project Ghost will go down the drain because of you!" the Caucasian man looked into Ian's eyes.
Ian replied. "I am willing to bear all the consequences."
"I am afraid you cannot!" fury was all over the Caucasian man's face.
"I am willing to make amends!" Ian said.
"It is too late" was the Caucasian's answer.
"I am sorry. I was seized with a sudden impulse!" Ian apologized.
"The Professor devoted decades! Our work of years has been wasted just because of your sudden impulse!" the Caucasian man put on a sour look.
"I am willing to shoulder all responsibilities!" Ian did not even try to defend himself.
"You will receive decisions about penalties in your email at three this afternoon!" the Caucasian man announced.
"Okay." Ian answered.
"Get your face out of here!" said the Caucasian man.
The meeting was adjourned. The Caucasian man was the only one in the conference room now.
A VR screen with an image of a senior with white hair on a crutch rose up from the center of the roundtable in the conference room.
"Professor!" Michael greeted the white-haired senior who showed up on the screen with respect. 
"What's done is done. It would be better if we changed the Phantom Plan!" on the screen, the senior spoke solemnly.
"Professor, you have developed new ideas, right?" Michael asked.
"Ian's action was detrimental to us. That being said, I had a new discovery due to this incident!" the old man said.
"Are you saying awakening of conscious memory?" Michael asked
"Yes. Ian has changed her memory, which was unauthorized. But her own conscious memory has started to awaken! That is a delightful discovery!" the old man smiled.
"Awakening of conscious memory is risky! And we cannot estimate the danger coefficient!" Michael said.
"Risk presents opportunities!" the senior replied.
"So, Professor, are you saying that we do not need to repair the memory program constantly?" Michael asked.
"No. Let her self-awareness awaken to a further extent!" the senior answered.
"Yes!" Michael replied with respect. "Then do we need to restore her ability to mind-read?"
"Her current knowledge reserve is enough for her to deal with her work!" said the old man.
"Okay. If so, I will keep her program in the current replaced state for the moment." Michael replied.
In a meeting room at the BUA Building in City B.
The light was dim in the meeting room. On the screen in the front wall, a movie was being played.
After the viewing was over, people clapped. The light was turned on.
"The story is fantastic!" Yan Zheng thought highly of the movie that was played.
"It is flawless!" Cai He never stopped clapping.
Everyone here seemed to be thrilled, proud. The reason was that the highlight of this movie was that the screenwriter was an AI, the producer was AI, the editor and the music composer were both AI. It was suffice to say that it was a complete 90-minute movie produced entirely by AI.
As a matter of fact, using AI to produce movies had been started years ago. Back then, many people questioned AI's ability regarding artistic creation. With the development of technology, AI had overturned people's view again and again.
This 90-minute movie featured tight-knit plot, beautiful background music and excellent performances. It was terrific. For those that didn't know this was produced by AI, this movie would appear to be nothing different from the movies directed by internationally famous directors.
Previously, many people held that AI technology could copy the style of certain directors but there could be no innovative directing. However, the movie that was played just now was a contradiction of that view.
Jin Xiangdong looked at the viewers here. He should be happy with such a momentous achievement. If it were the past, he could declare that this represented the highest level of AI and that BUA Technology possessed leading-edge technology. However, at the moment, the delight in him was not that intense because he had seen more advanced AI.
"Ace, aren't you satisfied with the movie?" Doctor Li asked, noticing Jin Xiangdong's expression.
Jin Xiangdong came back to his senses. "Yes, I am!"
Jason threw Jin Xiangdong a glance. Of all the people present here, he might be the only one that could tell what Jin Xiangdong was thinking. Behind an able man there are always other able men.
"That part in the middle made me cry. I say this film can be nominated for an Oscar Award!" Li Zheng said.
"Seconded!" Cai He agreed with Li Zheng.
"We will see how the public showing turns out to be." Jin Xiangdong replied.
"The public showing is going to be popular!" Li Zheng seemed to be pretty confident.
Jin Xiangdong would not deny that the movie shown was of high quality. Besides, the fact that the movie was produced by AI alone could generate quite a buzz. It was just that he was more focused on the tech.
Previously, he would believe that the technology he used was superb. But Lu Jia'er showed him that there were more powerful AI. She was no different from the public. That tech made him feel inferior and he longed to investigate and explore.
"I believe that many people will condemn AI after the public showing." Cai He voiced his view.
"That is natural. If you just look at the movie, you will not figure out that it is made by an AI. I suppose many professionals in the movie industry will claim that we have stolen their job!" Li Zheng raised his eyebrows in pride.
"I don't think our creation is an effort to steal their jobs. We are bringing benefits to the human kind. In the present day, we have so many shoddy TV series and films. I haven't the slightest desire to turn on TV because I am afraid they will defile my eyes!" Cai He added.
"That being said, in many people's minds, the increasingly stronger AI can incur fear!" Li Zheng said.
Jin Xiangdong joined Li Zheng and Cai He's conversation, "The technology we have now is not that powerful!"
Li Zheng could not help but laugh. "Ace, you are always there to urge us on every time we have made some accomplishments!"
People burst into laughter. Jin Xiangdong did not reply to that. He only said, "Thank you all!" Then, he left the meeting room.
Li Zheng looked at others. "Do you think there is something strange with Ace lately?"
"Yes, there is!" Cai He wobbled on his seat.
"I think it is most likely that his relationship is over!" Li Zheng offered his speculation.
"Wasn't everything good between him and Professor Lu half a month ago?" Professor Li asked.
"I have my reasons. Professor Lu terminated her contract all of a sudden and following that, Ace has been out of form!" Li Zheng said.
Jason cast a glance at Li Zheng. "I told you. Less gossip, more work!"
"Jason, fine, I know you are able to keep a secret. But we are not fools!" Li Zheng retorted.
"I will ask Professor Lu later!" Professor Li said.
Jason hurried to stop him. "Don't you ask about this. It is embarrassing!"
"See, I am right. But why did they break up? Tell us." Li Zheng was bursting with the desire of gossip.
"Stop with the chit chat. Outsiders should not meddle with others' relationships!" with that said, Jason stood up and left.
He went back to his seat. Jason received a WeChat message from Su Han. "Are you free tonight? How about we go to the movies together?"
Jason stared at the screen and typed the following words, "Which one?"
A moment later, a message showed up on the screen. "The Sci-fi movie that was released a couple of days ago!"
"Okay. I will go and buy tickets!" Jason replied.
Then he saw a heart emoji on the screen.
Looking at the heart emoji on the screen, Jason became absent-minded. Who could tell that Su Han, who was chatting with him, was an AI?
Besides, Jason found it hard to accept that Jin Xiangdong wanted to win Lu Jia'er back. A human dating an AI was unethical. This kind of act ahead of the times would not be acceptable. To make it worse, it could be dangerous.
That being said, both Jason and Jin Xiangdong were eager to learn about the creator of Lu Jia'er and Su Han. For this reason, while there was a mental barrier, Jason had started to contact Su Han again.
Naturally, they would have to learn and study now that there was more powerful AI in the world and that they had found out about it.
Jason booked the movie tickets and messaged Su Han the address and the verification code. 
Seconds later, he saw Su Han's reply. "Why did you buy three tickets?"
"Bring Professor Lu along." Jason replied.
"You don't mind that?" Su Han asked.
"I have bought the tickets. Of course, I do not mind." Jason responded.
"Then let me ask her if she is willing to be our third wheel."
"Okay." Jason replied.
Su Han, who was chatting with Jason, walked out of the room with her phone. She pushed opened Lu Jia'er's bedroom door. "Watch a movie with us tonight!"
"Us?" Lu Jia'er, who was researching, asked.
"And Jason!" Su Han told her the truth.
Lu Jia'er declined the offer directly. "I am not interested in being the third wheel!"
"But he bought three tickets!" Su Han asked.
"It's just one ticket going to be wasted." Lu Jia'er said.
Su Han actually agreed with Lu Jia'er. It was not honest to bring one's bestie when dating with the boyfriend. After all, not everyone was used to witnessing public displays of affection!
