Now back in the capital city and kingdom of the Hecatia Realms, Evelyn ran out of the Portal Station and onto Spells Parade, and ran down the street, the auburn girl noticed a cafe and ran inside it and towards the counter, where there was a female barista with tattoos and a blue pixie cut hairstyle serving.

Barista: Hi, welcome to the Brews Cafe, what may I get for you today?
Evelyn: Did you see a girl pass by? Blonde hair, pale to fair skin, she was wearing a star jumper and boots? 

Luckily for Evelyn, she had the memory of an elephant and remember anything that she thought of. In some ways, that was a perk of autism, especially now.

Barista: Oh, yeah. I think some girls took her to Lady Hera Hospital.
Evelyn: Where's the Lady Hera Hospital?
Barista: It's on Wand Avenue. Take a map, it's free.
Evelyn: Thank you.

The auburn haired woman walked towards a stand to take a map and leaves the cafe. As soon as she was outside, Evelyn looked t see if anyone was in earshot, but the streets were empty, and the Australian woman spoke softly to herself.

Evelyn: *quietly* Okay, Spells Parade..... go up and turn left on Mirror Drive, then turn right onto Wand Avenue. Claire, here I come.

Evelyn ran in the direction she observed on the map and slowed down as she approached the hospital, which was identified by the huge sign saying LADY HERA HOSPITAL. It looked like any modern hospital in a capital city. Evelyn noticed a doctor and ran towards him.

Evelyn: Excuse me, was a blonde girl admitted here? Claire deLuna?
Doctor: *shakes his head no* No, no one here was admitted here by that name.
Evelyn: She might've had two girls with her? Please, it's important.
Doctor: Look, I don't have time to worry about some kids, okay? I have to heal all sorts of injuries and cure illnesses.

The doctor walked away, making Evelyn growl loudly and angrily as she sat on a bench by the hospital's bus stop.

Evelyn: Where did you go, Claire deLuna?

All of a sudden, the citrine star began to glow brightly, almost burning Evelyn's hand as she yanked it out of her pocket and looked at it.

Evelyn: Claire deLuna's whereabouts.

The star glowed brighter as Evelyn got up and began to walk, following the glowing of the star.

Evelyn: Where are you leading me, little star?

Evelyn walked from Wand Avenue to Potter Lane, where there was a shop with a sign reading CALESTE MAGICAL ANTIQUITIES, the star glowed so brightly, Evelyn had to put it back in the pouch and back in her pocket, before entering the shop to see a kind well-dressed gentleman standing behind a desk.

Owner: Hello, what may I do to assist you today?

He was probably hoping for a sale as it hadn't been visited by a shopper for ages, judging by the dust and cobwebs... at least Evelyn hoped they were forgotten Halloween decorations.

Evelyn: *politely* Would you happen to sell little hand mirrors, the ones you can hold in the palm of your hand?
Owner: Yes! We do sell those. Finally, I've been wanting to sell those little things since I purchased them from a dealer. How many would you like?
Evelyn: Give me... 2. 
Owner: Okay... and would you like them in a pouch? 

This was his big sale of those mirrors. 

Evelyn: *nods her head yes* Oh definitely.
Owner: I've never seen you here before? Which kingdom are you from?
Evelyn: Earth. 
Owner: *looks interested* Oh, Earth. Lovely land, they have some nice stuff there.
Evelyn: Yep. Great land, although this place is trying hard to top that.
Owner: What part of Earth are you from?
Evelyn: Australia.
Owner: Oh, Australia! What is with those hats with the bottle lids?
Evelyn: Keeps the flies away, saves your hands doing all the work with the unofficial Aussie wave. How much?
Owner: $10 dollars.

Evelyn looked at her small purse that she hid on the inside of her jacket pocket her mother had sewn into for safety. Evelyn opened the wallet and was relieved when her mother taught her to keep a small amount of money. The Australian did indeed have ten dollars in her purse and she took it out of her wallet and handed it to the shop owner

Evelyn: You accept Earth currency? It's all I got.

The owner looked at the girl before him and could tell she was distressed, but at least was gracious to still be polite.

Owner: *speaks softly and smiles kindly* Keep your money. It's on me.
Evelyn: Thank you so much. Caleste Magical Antiquities.

Evelyn began of memorise the name for reference and perhaps future shopping. She smiled before walking outside and pulled out one of the handheld mirrors, and looked at it intensely.

Evelyn: Show me Claire deLuna.

The mirror's reflection went from Evelyn's face to Claire, kept unconscious in an abandoned shop front

Evelyn: Show me her exact whereabouts.

The mirror showed a map of Hecatia City, including where Evelyn was and how far away she was from Claire. 10 buildings away. Evelyn sighed and went back inside the antique shop and to the owner.

Evelyn: Hi. Me again. Are there any abandoned shopfronts in this street?
Owner: Yeah, there's one 10 buildings away. It used to be a pawn shop but it was shut after the owner committed theft and accessory after the fact. Why?
Evelyn: My friend is being held there
Owner: I'll notify the Imperial Police.

He grabs a phone and dialling the number for the Imperial Police.

Evelyn: Would you happen to have blueprints? Or anything like that?
Owner: Luckily for you, I'm an L-FAM graduate. Class of '88.
Evelyn: *smiles* That's super helpful, thanks.

The owner, who Evelyn noticed wore a badge with the name Leonard, pulled out a basic oak wand and conjured a blueprint of the pawnshop, tapping his wand on the small mirror as the blueprint now popped onto the mirror's face.

Evelyn: Thank you so much!

Evelyn exited the shop and looked further down Potter Lane.

Evelyn: I'm on my way, Claire.

Meanwhile, inside the pawnshop, Claire was still unconscious, hovering up and down, whilst Erica was searching her bag and pockets, including her wand, whilst Keriana was looking to see if any bystanders were looking in on the abandoned shop front.

Keriana: *gleefully* Six more stones and I will be the Empress.

Erica walked up angrily to her mistress.

Erica: She doesn't have the stone!
Keriana: *yells* What?!
Erica: The Citrine Star is missing! It's not anywhere on her!
Keriana: We need that to get the Grim Grimoire open, you idiot!
Erica: I know, I'm sorry...

The sound of a glass being smashed and a door opening stopped the two villainesses as a familiar auburn-haired young woman entered the room.

The owner of the office, Ren Ruofeng, looked thoughtfully at the report handed in by one of his subordinates.

Fang Ning rolled his eyes. "I mean, we should learn to use these experts effectively. Different tasks need different people. You wouldn't understand anyway even if I said it…"
The System replied, "I understand. You just want to foist your responsibility on someone else…"
Fang Ning said defiantly, "How can this be called foisting? Can a boss doing his task be called foisting? Doing everything on my own is a sign of foolishness on my part."
The System continued, "Who do you plan on asking to do this task then?"
Fang Ning altered the direction of his thoughts. "That's it, use this as an opportunity. Next time anything strange and unpredictable comes up, hand them all over to Xue Ba. It's smart and powerful, and knows how to hide itself. Hidden, it cannot be found easily.
"It has learned the Atmospheric Morality Technique and also has extra Morality to protect itself; not to mention it has the ability of burrowing. Who else but it has this many advantages? If there's any sudden danger, there's still the Thousand-mile Assistance to help it."
The System "When Boss puts it like that, the yellow dog is really suitable for the job."
Then, the Yellow Dog Xue Ba, currently having a secret rendezvous with a white Labrador, suddenly had a light in his eyes.
The white canine asked, "Eh, Brother Xue, what's happening to you?"
Xue Ba said gleefully, "I suddenly had a sort of motivation. It must have been an important duty from the heavens. I have finally waited till the day when I could put all my powers to use."
The white canine looked at him adoringly, praising him, "Then Dan Dan would give her congratulations to Brother on getting a chance to put your great goals to practice and quick rise to the top."
At that moment, a certain Black Dog lying in a corner nearby named Brett was glancing covertly at them. When he heard it, he irritatedly stood up, shaking his head briefly before leaving.
'Why am I strong and able, yet no beautiful dogs admires me?
'That time while working outside China, I had met a gorgeous intelligent foreign dog. Why had her eyes lit up at the sight of me, yet she had hesitated before running off?'
With this question in mind, he found a patch of grass and started cultivating in order to release his confusion and sadness.
Zheng Dao, reading nearby, smiled with relief at the sight.
At least those Hundred-mile Celestial Hounds have good attitude. They never worried for long, but worked hard and cultivated every single day without needing him to answer any queries.
Truly, no matter human or dog; the more stupid ones could find happiness more easily.
Soon, the Venerable Dragon God called everyone for a meeting.
Fang Ning handed a picture to the yellow dog, together with the promised Space Bangle. That one had been found in Qi Mei's collection.
He then pronounced, " Xue Ba, this is the cause of the whole disaster. Get the details from Butler Zheng. When you have found it, make sure it no longer comes out to wreak havoc in the human realm. And after this, all cases of strange happenings will be handed over to you."
Xue Ba happily took the Space Bangle and wore it on one of its front legs. It gleefully showed it off to Black Dog, yet realized the other was distracted. It could not help but feel slightly disappointed.
It took a look at the strange picture, turned its pupils about then said firmly, "Sir, who else but me can do this sort of thing, a test of IQ and knowledge? I promise to finish this mission. Only, I hope to have some extra supplies in case of anything."
Fang Ning was a generous boss. He was not that sort of boss who wanted his horses to run fast yet never fed them (TN this is a Chinese idiom meaning a stingy leader who wants his workers to work hard yet does not give enough incentive).
He said gently, "Whatever you need, just ask. As long as it's in my power, I'll meet them."
The Yellow Dog observed his mentally-absent counterpart, then said, "Master, I don't need any expensive or luxurious things. I've heard that blood of black dogs is the best in warding off evil forces, so it'll be good if Brett could regularly supply me with some."
Fang Ning admired the dog. He had found so many advantages the dog possessed, yet here it was taking the chance to give itself insurance. The Black Dog shivered. 'What? Did I hear that someone wants me to donate blood?'
It shot a look of resentment at the Yellow Dog, using its gaze to send a telepathic message "Yellow Boss, why are you so cold-hearted? You are a winner in both love and business of canines, yet you can't even let me go?"
The Yellow Dog said with gravitas, "Serving our master is a god-given duty. You had always eaten and cultivated well here, not to mention you're an aristocrat of the Earthly Hound Clan in the Upper Realm. Your blood can definitely ward off evil. Sometimes, you are even stronger than me with my Morality. This is me giving you a free shot at achievement. Your hematopoietic ability is strong, and your donating blood every year can make you strong and healthy.
"Agree of your own volition, and Master will be very happy; it may be helpful in the future. Who knows, he would get you one of those Spirit Fox gals."
The Black Dog thought it sounded pretty logical, and nodded its head bemusedly.
It then stretched out a paw, saying voluntarily, "For the sake of supporting Master's great vision, I won't stop at anything, even having my organs crushed and smeared onto the ground. My blood is nothing? Leave it to me."
He thought for a while. "Oh yes, I have had Chef God Fang to make meals out of the great serpents for Chong Daqing. You can eat with it, and any required extra food can be supplied by me. Go rejuvenate your body."
The Black Dog was exultant. 'Well, Old Yellow did not lie. That broth made out of the great serpents is a very rare dish indeed, and no ordinary person can have it.'
Having arranged everything accordingly, Fang Ning re-entered his System Space contentedly. He believed that with Xue Ba's IQ, it could definitely solve this problem and find the source. And then, all he needed was to send out Sir System. That was what a boss would do.


Procrastinator extraordinaire, Fang Ning, had lost his consciousness after banging his head on a night of celebration. He woke up to a realization that he no longer had control of his body, as a System had taken it over. Will he eventually regain control of his body or will he be trapped in his body forever? How does he maneuver this situation? What's in store for Fang Ning?

I stood in the threshold to the next arena. I could feel Angandriel's presence behind me. It felt huge and ominous, but also full of light. I pulled my mind away from his distracting aura. Ahead of us stood another circular arena. At the center was another stone statue, but this one was closer to our height. I walked forward with Angandriel at my back. This arena was lined with mirrors on holders. They could be tilted up and down. They all pointed at the figure in the center.
As we got closer I could see the figure more clearly. Snakes protruded from the head with their mouths open showing their fangs. The figure had a female bosom and a snake like tail. Her fingers were raised with claws sticking out at them. In front of her another pedestal held a new weapon. I looked down the shiny edge of the axe blade. I remembered the stories of Medusa from Greek mythology. Don't look directly at her or you turn to stone and cut off her head to kill her. This was going to be fun.
I grabbed the axe and ran to the side. I looked in the mirror back at the snaky bitch. She sprang to life. Instead of staying stone like the last monster, her snakes turned black and her body turned green. She hissed and slithered towards me. Angandriel took to the sky. In the reflection I saw her shoot snakes up at him. I hoped he was okay, but I needed to watch out for myself. She slithered towards me incredible fast. I ran along the mirrors keeping my eyes glued ahead. I needed to figure out how to come in at her. 
She chased after me. This wasn't getting me anywhere. If she tired me out before I got a chance to even swing, then the battle would be lost. I skidded to halt and held my ground. I kept my eyes on the mirror as she approached. I raised my axe and swung, but I wasn't practiced at using depth perception in a mirror. My blade missed and cut a few of her snakes off. Their heads flew. As they did, giant snakes grew out of them. When they landed, I was looking at two ten-foot tall snakes in the mirror.
I took off. That was bad. That was very bad. The snakes chased me as the medusa look-a-like cackled. I hoped they couldn't turn me into stone. I gritted my teeth and spun. I whipped the axe around at the nearest one chasing me. I looked it right into its red eyes. I didn't turn to stone and it almost looked surprised as I split in two down the middle. The other snake snapped at me, but I danced out of the way. I brought the axe around, but it dodged. It went in for another strike, but Angandriel was there, pulling me up into the air.
I let go of the breath I was holding in. That was a little too close.
"Don't you ever have a plan before you just go running into things?" He asked. He dodged a snake projectile flying at us.
"Shut it. I killed the last monster, didn't I?"
He readjusted me in his arms so he could reach into his pocket and hand me back my knife. With my free hand, I slid it into my pocket. The axe I carried in my other hand hung over his shoulder. I was doing my best to keep it from cutting off his wings. As much as I got the sense that he didn't like me, I reveled being saved by him. There was something in his presence that made my insides kind of jump. He was well built for a fifteen-year-old and I assumed all that jumpiness was just my hormones when I was pressed against his hard body. I fought against that now as I tried to focus on the gorgon.
"Any ideas on how to fight her?" I asked.
He leaned back to look at me. His face told me everything I needed to know. He couldn't interfere.
I huffed out a breath. "Just put me down. I'll figure it out on my own."
He swooped low and set me on my feet before flying off. Medusa slithered towards me as did her giant pet snake. I ran towards the snake first. I at least had a fair chance of taking it out before they teamed up on me. I sprang into the air and did a flip to avoid the lunge I knew it would take. I swung the axe out as I flipped over the top of it slicing into its black scaly skin. Dark blood spilled out where it's back split open. It tottered forward before falling in a pile.
I looked in the mirrors at the snake bitch. She was headed for me. I needed to be careful not to make any more snakes. I had to be precise. Running from her and then spinning hadn't worked. How could I get in behind her? I darted behind the mirrors. She followed after. I couldn't see her in the mirrors anymore, but I could hear her slither across the ground. I slipped between the mirrors once more doubling back. Just as she poked her head out, I slashed down with the axe. It caught her tail.
Her cry pierced the air. I pulled the axe back, looking at her through the nearest mirror. The skin healed, but as it did it stretched. The gorgon grew larger. She was twenty feet tall now. The mirrors all tilted to include her new height. I stumbled back away from the snake woman. That wasn't good. Not at all. I got my feet back under control then turned to run. 
Obviously, attacking her up close wasn't working. I ran across to the other side, keeping her in the view of the mirror straight ahead of me. She started slithering towards me. I could still see her shooting snakes off at Angandriel.
I had one more idea up my sleeve. I held the axe out and started to spin. I went round and around like an ice skater. I watched her in the mirror and tried to time it right. I let go of the axe just as I came around to her. The axe flung through the air straight at her. She put her claws up to stop it, but the axe went straight through cutting off both her hands and her neck. Her body toppled to the ground followed by her head.
From the mirror I saw the snakes break loose and come straight for me. They grew in size until there were a dozen ten-foot tall snakes. More grew up behind them where the snake projectiles had landed. Twenty more of them started towards me. I didn't know what to do. I spun to face them then I froze. My hand gripped my little silver dagger. I would have to fight, that's all I could do.
Just before the first snake reached me, Angandriel flew in from behind them. He gripped the shiny axe in both hands as pumped his white wings towards me. Snake heads flew in every direction as the axe separated them from their bodies. Black blood spurted up in geysers as he passed until he was scooping me up in his arms again. He held me with one arm as my arms clung to his neck. I didn't realize how scared I was until now. Gratitude filled me, but I would never tell him that.
We flew above the arena. The remaining snakes looked up at us. Angandriel pushed the weapon into my hands then spun me around to face them. He held me out in front. I hefted the axe up in both hands and hacked at their stupid snake heads as we flew by. In just a few minutes, all of the snakes were dead.
He set me back on the ground. I righted my shirt, which seemed to have two giant holes near the shoulders. I didn't realize how close that first snake had gotten. Both of us were spattered with dark bits of blood. I couldn't seem to level my eyes at him.
"Thanks," I muttered still looking at the ground.
"It's my job," he said.
"Right. You're just doing your job."
"Right." But his answer didn't sound truly convincing. Maybe that was just my imagination.
I brushed off some of the sand from my hoodie then turned to the next threshold.
"Last one, right?" I asked.
"Let's hope so."

Axell 

She came! She actually came! I felt happiness surged through my body. My smile reached my ears. The photographer noticed this and said. 

"This is the first time I've seen you smile like this!" I guess he noticed that i wasn't looking at the camera but rather something or someone behind it. He turned to look who was behind him and saw her. He smirks. "So that is why." Kaylie jumps in the conversation and says. "Yes, indeed." 

Maisie walks closer towards us and I decided to go closer too. I run up to her and she giggles. Sweet giggling. "I'm so glad you could make it!" I tell her excitedly. "Me too! Your dad allowed me to accompany you today." Her smile was as sweet as her scent. 

Okay, that sounded creepy. 

I offered her a chair to sit so she could rest a little while we continue the shoot. After the photoshoot, I went to my changing room and got into some comfortable but classy clothes. Classy enough to impress her. Then I walk out and saw Kaylie talking to Maisie. 

Kaylie better not be telling her that I have feelings for Maisie! 

Sometimes, I don't trust Kaylie. She's mischievous. 

"Hey, guys. Ready to go, Maisie?" I just wanna get Maisie as far from Kaylie as possible. "Yeah, I am." Maisie stands up from the chair. Kaylie butts in and asks. "Where ya guys goin'? On a date?" She's sly. I glare at her to make her shut up. She raises her hands in surrender. "It could be a date if he calls it one." Maisie winks at me. 

I was rendered speechless. I did NOT expect that to come from her mouth. All the blood rushes up my cheeks and I start choking on my words. 

"I-uu-hee-waa..." My mouth trails off. Kaylie laughs hysterically at me. "This-HAHA-is just-AHAHA-too good!" Maimai grabs my hand and I completely lose my cool. I feel like I'm melting to a pile of goo. "C'moonnn! I'm so excited for what you planned for our date." She's acting all cute, tugging my arm and it's goshdamn working! 

All I did was absentmindedly take her to my car as she bid Kaylie good bye. What a stupid move. Say something! 

I opened the door for her and she thanked me then I sat in the driver's seat. I stared still at the parking lot. I hear her giggle and she tries to snap me out of my trance. "Did you know the almonds are on sale in the supermarket?" My eyes widen. "Which supermarket?!" She laughs and wave her hands. "Sorry I just had to break your trance." I pout. I love almonds. She knows I'm crazy for them. "But we could go look for ones that are on sale." She suggested. Even though that was a thoughtful idea I still have to take her to lunch. "You need to eat lunch first." I say while poking her forehead. "We." She strictly emphasizes. "I'm on a diet." I try to argue but she glared at me so I decided we are eating lunch. 

You're lucky I don't want you to be unhappy. 

"Thanks!" She cheers and plays some songs in the car. 

We arrive at my favorite restaurant. "It's been a while since you ate here, right?" She asks. "Yeah, it has. The food here is amazing, I tell ya." I'm so glad I get to eat here with her. "You're so biased." She teased and got out the door. 

Wait! I didn't get to open it for you... 

Insert sad Axell noises. I'm such a failure. I get out of the car aswell and locked it. She walks by my side as we enter the restaurant. There were only a few people and that's one of the reasons why this is my favorite restaurant. 

"Ooh! Let's sit by the window!" Mai points to an empty table with two seats. I think she has a thing for windows since she likes looking at beautiful views. If she does though, shouldn't she have a thing for mirrors instead of windows? "Ofcourse, my dear." I coo in her ears and she just laughs. It's not fun when she laughs everytime I try to flirt with her. 

We shared a delicious meal and a meaningful conversation. This time I got to know a little about her past. Her father left her mother when she was pregnant with Maisie. Soon after, her mother died and Maisie was left in the care of her mother's sister then she moved out when she got a job. Apparently her first jobe wasn't at my dad's company. She worked as a tenant at the supermarket before stepping foot into the Alaire company. Which is pretty rad! I hope I'll get to know more about her soon... 

Wait. I have to ask her for her phone number!!! 

"Hey, let's switch numbers." I suggested cheerfully.

"I love her and she bears your grandchild!"

"I don't want her to."

"Then I don't want to be your son."

When she found out she was pregnant, she was happy. Not because she bore his baby but because this could be her ticket to escape. 

"Please. Please be with me."

"No no no... please stand up..."

"Not until you say you'll stay."
