Jade never even saw the bus that hit him, until the system replayed the footage from a nearby traffic camera.

As early as 7:30 Dreamer slowly woke Peter up. One of the benefits of having a symbiote was that he could wake you up without making you feel groggy. Waking up without feeling groggy was a new experience for peter, he always felt groggy when he woke up. That was also why he was either late or just in time everywhere he went.


He slowly got up from his bed and walked to the washroom. Brushing his teeth, after that taking a dump, he started showering. After showering and drying up he went back to his room and started dressing up. Taking his bag, he went downstairs for breakfast.


"Hey, Aunt May, What's for breakfast?"
"Wha-! Peter, you scared me. Why are you up early, generally you don't wake up till the last 15 min before the bus arrives."
"Well, you know trying to follow a schedule"

"Hey Good Morning Peter, It's nice to see you wake up early," said Ben coming down from upstairs.

After eating breakfast during which he drank some milk which he did not like due to a craving created by Dreamer.

<That was a horrifying experience for me, I knew on some level that I hated Milk but the craving overpowered the hate. I wonder if this is what Vampires feel like when thirsting for blood.>


As Peter arrived at the Busstop chatting with Dreamer all the way. What he didn't notice was that compared to yesterday his coordination of doing things while talking to Dreamer was drastically improved as he adjusted to talking to Dreamer and doing work at the same time.


Peter arrived at the bus stop at which point he saw some of the other kids of his neighbourhood. Then slowly encouraged by Dreamer he started to talk with them, with tips from Dreamer he started chatting with them forming a basic acquaintance.


Slowly as his school bus came Peter said them goodbye as he quickly boarded the bus. As soon as he boarded the bus his first challenge came for the day. Who to sit Next to? In the end, despite persuasion by Dreamer, he sat at an empty window. Well, Dreamer guessed you can't win every time.


At the next stop, one of Peter's few friends got in,'Flash Thompson'. It was a Bizzare experience for Dreamer to know that 'Flash Thompson' was a friend of Peter.
<So, How did this guy become your friend?>
<Huh? Oh flash, Well when we were in fourth grade he used to come to me for help in his work.>
<Oh, then you slowly started a friendship with him?>

Dreamer was dumbfounded on Peters evaluation of friendship, no wonder this guy got bullied a lot. His definition of friendship was wrong.

So for the remaining travel, with the help of Dreamer Peter talked a lot with Flash and slowly got to understand a lot about Flash. It was also during this time that Dreamer found a possible flashpoint at which Flash changed into a Bully. Flash's parents were fighting all the time would probably go for a divorce. He guessed if Peter helped Flash through his parent's divorce he would probably become one of peters Best friend.


Dreamer felt very guilty for planning to manipulate a middle school kid, but then he consoled himself that as long as the result was a positive one it wouldn't be a huge problem, but he thought to himself that he should better control his manipulative tendencies, just in case.


Once in school, Peter took his stuff from the locker and headed to the Homeroom. There he saw Peter's best friend Harry Osborn. This time Peter didn't need help and chatted up Harry. From this Dreamer understood that it wasn't that Peter had bad communication skill but he just didn't dare to make new friends. Well, with dreamer's help he would probably make a lot more friends.


Peter talked all about his day yesterday and all the changes he was making, Harry was looking curious as to if he was wondering if peter could do it but he just shrugged and let it go and told peter his events yesterday.


For the rest of the day Dreamer help, Peter learns a proper and efficient method for note-taking and organising the information during the lecture. He already taught peter how to organise information coming from an article, papers and stationary media yesterday. Now in the class, he taught Peter how to organise and properly take notes in a lecture.


This was one of the points Dreamer was disappointed in the education system. No one taught the children how to take notes. From Elementary to even college, no one taught them to take notes. They just wrote down things haphazardly. If one wanted to learn he had to teach himself and that what he did in his last life. But aside from the rest of the day went similarly, With Peter chatting up Harry when he got bored.


For the rest of the entire school year which was 3 more months, By this time Dreamer and Peter had become a team and helped each other out and slowly Dreamer was teaching Peter to have normal human social interactions and mentoring in his mind techniques and all the learning skills and tricks he amassed in his last life.


Dreamer was blown away when Peter learnt and incorporated and habituated all his skills and tricks for learning except the mind arts in 2 months. It didn't mean that he didn't learn his mind arts, it was just that unlike the other skills, the first time a mind palace is made it has to be made step by step brick by brick otherwise you risk causing damage in your personality.


It was also during this time that Peter started offering tuitions and selling copies of his notes. It started with Flash and Harry but the word spread around and many people started taking the offer.


At one point he was almost tutoring at least one guy in every class, but this was also a boon in disguise as this improved Peter's understanding of learning capabilities of the human mind furthering his progress in his understanding of the technique.


Slowly as summer started Peter lost a lot of work and pressure because there were no tuitions and no schoolwork. But still, Peter hanged with some of the new friends he made after the help of dreamer and old friends like Harry and Flash.


But still, as Dreamer reminded him every time he had free time, reorganize everything you learnt before into new notes. Finally now a week into summer vacation Peter completed all the organization.


<I finally understand why you keep fussing me over to reorganize all the information I learnt up till now. Some of them that flew past my head at that time makes so more sense now. Also I now really understand the concept inside and out>

<First, You have to help your Aunt and Uncle in the spring cleaning, also use this to practice your organizational skills. Then now that you have a healthy body maybe you should try to teach yourself self-defence.>
<So much work, but I guess it won't eat up a lot of my time I can just wake up early in the morning to practice and chill out the rest of the day I guess.>


So, for the next week, Peter helped out his uncle and aunt in the complete cleaning, maintenance works like painting, plastering, etc and organization of the house. For which Peter did 3 hours of research before to make it more efficient in doing and learnt lots of tips and tricks to make it cleaner and also the proper way of storage to keep them in good condition.


It was OCD for Dreamer to have stuff organized and having clean and organize the entire house felt like getting an itch scratched. He felt wonderful, and as connected to Peter he also felt the same. It was natural for most of the people to like cleanliness but some people were just lazy.


After helping Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter started to take notes on all of the fighting techniques and why they work and how they work, why they were effective etc. After working on it complete possessed scientist mode for over 2 weeks he gradually formulated a plan to train for mixed martial arts.


He just didn't learn one technique, he learned from all of the techniques and formed a hodgepodge of technique, which was unique in such a way that it covers of the weaknesses of the techniques in the next chain of action, so on so forth. Thus he started practising the technique in the park in the neighbourhood.


One day, he was training when a bulky Asian man came over to him and said...

One day, during a tourism visit in Japan I got visited by the almighty Truck Kun. This is how I became a Klynta.

God, I could kiss Bruce, at least if it wouldn't cause him to punch me through a few walls. The contacts combined with Wolverine 2.0 just made life so much better that I almost hated remembering it before them.

Augmented Reality was amazing. Having a full, hi-definition, record of everything you saw and heard wasn't quite as good as a photographic memory but it was close. And that was the least of the benefits. I now had an honest to god video game people tracking radar and mini-map floating in my vision, and courtesy of my access to the various social media platforms Raith Industries owned along with the various government databases I even got to run facial recognition in real time and get little name tags floating above their heads. Using a computer? I got to use my entire field of view as a screen, or whichever bit I wanted and could type on thin air or pull off the Tony Stark hologram manipulation from the movies (even if only I could see it).

Business meetings? I had the data literally floating before my eyes and thus looked massively more prepared and competent than I really was. Not to mention the vocal stress and visual analysis programs that ran in real time and gave me a good idea when people were lying.

This set up had freed up an average of twelve hours per week from my schedule simply because I was always effectively sitting at a computer and could instantly respond to things like e-mails while doing other, more important, stuff.

Then there was the Chi release system which allowed me to steadily and continuously be bathed in neutral chi. Sleep? That was nice but now mostly unnecessary. Physical endurance? Not quite limitless bu close. Healing? A cut would be gone in minutes.

It was thanks to this system that I got an instant alert when a Chinese reactor caught on fire while I was in the middle of a business dinner. A subtle finger twitch and blink combination and suddenly my cell phone was ringing, a glance at the screen and I said "I'm sorry but I have to take this Obadiah, it should only take a minute though." as I excused myself from the table where I had been in talks with Obadiah Stane about our joint push to get the laws regarding genetically modified organisms changed.

"Of course Octavian. Believe me, I understand what it is like always being on call." he said as he stood and pulled out a cigar, "I'll be in the smoking lounge when you're done."

I gave a nod before answering the phone and leaving. Pretending to hold a conversation with one of my executives as I made my way to the restroom. Once in a stall I closed the door, opened a portal, and stepped through to Mars before grabbing a foot long, six inch wide, metallic canister, typing a few commands in thin air, opening a portal to the vicinity of the decommissioned - and currently flaming - Wan Tai nuclear reactor in China, and pushing through the canister before closing the portal.

From that canister emerged hundreds of bird sized drones which each contained hundreds of far smaller fly drones. They started flying around the area and deployed a fly to follow everyone within a twenty mile vicinity even as I was stepping back out of the bathroom stall and heading out to finish my conversation with Stane.

All my notes, made low those many eons ago when I first realized what universe I had been reborn into, said was that Scorch got his powers by being in the vicinity of a flaming nuclear reactor in China. Thankfully flaming nuclear reactors were not a common occurrence, in fact, this was the first one in more than a decade. My solution to finding Scorch was just to have spy drones follow around everyone in the area until whenever I did find him, with Arc Reactors those drones could last effectively forever and once the bugs target had been identified it would follow them regardless of where they went.

I had just gotten back from my dinner and was looking forward to relaxing with Natasha, we were both so busy and with such odd hours that having unscheduled downtime was a relatively rare occasion and it was nice to curl up with a good book and read with her sitting next to me as she read her own book. Just being able to sit in quiet peace with someone else without having to worry about anything was nice. And god was my life fucked up if I thought that was a nice way to spend time with a beautiful woman.

Sadly it was not to be as Elektra sent me a message saying that she needed a portal to Mars. I locked onto the tracking spell that was part of the enchanted communications relay inside her own Wolverine 2.0 upgrades and opened the portal. I noted that it was her meditation chamber in her quarters at Wolfram & Heart and a quick time check showed that it was 3 AM EST. She came through immediately, clearly agitated, and barely before the portal had finished closing she started speaking "I know what the Hand are after."

I rocked back on my heels slightly and said: "So you managed to access your progenitor's memories then?"

"Yes, finally. But it is almost seven thousand years of memories. Thankfully Chi doesn't forget, unfortunately, I need to view them before they become really part of my Chi in some fundamental way that I don't understand. Once I do that I can access the memories just like they were my own but until I do, nothing." she explained, before saying "But that's not the point. Dragons are real!"

I nodded "I'm aware."

She looked stunned as she said "WHAT?!"

"I'm aware that dragons are real. The Iron Fist becomes the Iron Fist by punching the molten heart of a dragon, after all, I believe its name is Shou-Lao." I calmly explained.

"Ok...why have you never mentioned this before?" she questioned.

I shrugged "It never really seemed all that relevant."

She sighed and muttered something about idiot men and dragons being real being important before speaking more clearly "Well it is, relevant that is. The Hand's resurrection substance is made from the bones of dead dragons and they are running low. They believe there is a dragon skeleton somewhere deep under New York City and that is what they are searching for."

I gave a nod "It's locked in a vault forty stories underground that only the Iron Fist can access; given that he never leaves K'un-Lun and would never help the Hand even if he did come to New York, I consider it quite secure. Shame for the Fingers that they don't know about the Vault though, all those resources they will waste digging for bones they can't access."

"YOU KNEW?! And didn't SAY ANYTHING?" she screamed out, fury lacing her voice.

I sighed, cast a quick spell around the both of us, and then opened a portal to the L1 Lagrange point and pushed her through.

With a few finger twitches, I manipulated the spells around us so that we were both facing Earth.

The sudden shock of being in the vacuum of space without an environment suit, and of not being dead (thank you magic), derailed her anger long enough for me to start speaking.

"Look at it Elektra. Earth, it looks beautiful from out here and I consider this one of the true privileges of being me. But the power I have comes with costs."

I glanced over at her before saying "Imagine that you are walking down the streets of New York tomorrow and see an out of control bus come barreling around a corner and about to crash into a building. You are in your armor so you have no risk to your identity and could easily stop it, saving the lives of the ten people on board. Will you do so?"

"What's that got to do with anything Raith?" she said
'ouch, using the last name, yup, she is definitely pissed.'

"We will get to that, but please answer the question." I calmly said.

"Fine, of course, I stop it." she ground out.

"And suppose that you also knew that one of the ten people on that bus is a terrorist who is going to blow himself up in a crowd the next day and kill a hundred people. What do you do then?" I continued.

"Assuming I can't just kill the terrorist, I let the bus crash. Sacrificing ten to save one hundred is the right call." she said promptly, her moral pragmatism shining through.

"Ah, but what if you knew that as a result of that terrorist attack a man would be gifted with great power and go on to save the world years later?" I said, finishing the hypothetical.

"I save the bus and let the terrorist attack occur, it's the same as above. All else being equal, you do what saves the largest number of people. What's this have to do with anything?" she said, the anger slowly coming back.

"It has everything to do with my life Elektra. It's probably the reason that Alkasha and I get along with one another so well, we understand something that the rest of you never really grasp. I have to make those kinds of calls every single day Elektra. I have allowed, and will allow, truly horrific things to occur that I could *easily* prevent simply because it will have some positive outcome years down the line that I consider worth the sacrifice. Do you want to know what your future held if I hadn't intervened in your life? If you had chosen not to walk through the portal when I gave you the option?" I lectured

"Wh.." she started to speak but I interrupted her "You died in Matthew's arms before Alexandra had you resurrected as the Black Sky. You would go on to be the Hand's weapon, although you would bite the hand that made you later and take Alexandra's head. Then, down forty stories under the city, you would fight with your love, Matthew, and his friends along with the remaining Fingers. Only for the explosives that Matthew had planted in the building above to collapse on all of you, burying you, him, and the rest of the Hand leadership.

"That was supposed to be your future Elektra, so by your own logic, I should have sacrificed you and Matt to permanently die with the Hand. Is that what I should have done?"

She was floored and didn't seem to know what to say "You knew I was...? Matthew died because of...? Wha...?" she shook her head "Why did you save me then?"

"Because I saw potential in you and chose to believe that I could ensure the Hand's destruction another way and that your value would outweigh the benefit of their destruction. I chose to put faith in you, just as I trust you to put faith in me. I didn't know what you being the Black Sky actually meant, nor did I know your parentage or about Stick, but neither would have changed my decision.

"The point of all of this though, well that... You know the Oaths we swore when we bound ourselves to the Covenant. What is the first Oath?" I said.

"To do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival of humanity." she said, before continuing incredulously, "Are you implying that this was necessary to prevent the destruction of humanity?"

"Refraining from telling you what the Hand was after in New York and letting you find out on your own increases our odds against a future threat, yes." I said. 'because I knew it would cause this conversation whenever you told us about the bones and I could use the opportunity to build your trust in me, but you don't need to know that'

"What could scare you and Alkasha Octavian? What could scare her?" she asked, her voice much calmer and the anger mostly gone.

"Things that you can't know about yet. We will have a very slim opportunity to shift things in a direction that will dramatically improve our odds of survival but she and I are threading a needle while being thrown about by a hurricane trying to pull all of this off. The next five years are crucial, if we manage to hit that shatter point just right then everything changes. And so I let you learn about the Hand's objective on your own." I answered, thinking again about just how much I had tied up in ensuring that Loki's invasion came off just so. It was the one chance to deprive Thanos of the Mind Stone, and for that, I was willing to pay virtually any price.

We floated there, staring at the home we had been called on to protect, for a while before Elektra finally said "Ok, I guess I understand. It's just, frustrating. I'm glad I'm not you though, trying to tango with time is not something that I ever want to deal with. I like cause and effect working in that order, you do something and it has an effect is how things are supposed to work. Not the other way around."

I laughed before opening a portal back to our base "You don't know the half of it."

'A conceited man?'
Those words followed Chu Ningyi the entire way.
'Chu Ningyi, you've always faced everything with logic but love and logic are complete opposites. You'll keep using logic and you'll never find love.'
Chu Ningyi stared outside the window. Uncle Chu was not driving very fast so he could clearly see the passersby and the cars outside. It was now mid-afternoon and office workers were stepping out from their offices in twos and threes to have a meal together on both sides of the road. There were also small stalls at the side of the road selling fruits under the sun.
Usually, he would not bother looking at these things.
"Young Master, do we go back to the office?" Uncle Chu stopped at the intersection. One was the way home and the other was the way to the office so he did not know which way to go.
"Stop in front," Chu Ningyi replied. He continued to look out but his eyes were no longer sharp and penetrating. His gaze was at a loss.
Uncle Chu was in a daze but did not go against his orders. After the light turned green, he drove the car forward and stopped in front of a public transport station.
Chu Ningyi opened the door and got down. He then asked Uncle Chu to go home as he walked along the bustling street alone.
At this time, Chu Ningyi was no longer that high and mighty overlord. He stood on the bluestone terrace as he watched the crowd come and go.
Logic and love were complete opposites. To him, who had always used logic to deal with things, this was an all-new definition. He was used to using logic all the time.
"I've told you so many times... I don't want to eat this now. Why are you still giving this to me?"
"Baby, I've been busy so I only have time to make sushi. Just put up with it for a little while. I'll make something delicious for you tonight."
As Chu Ningyi was in his daze, a pair of young lovers who were sitting on the bench behind him took out their lunch.
"You don't love me at all."
"How could I not love you? Dearest, please eat quickly. I snuck out to give you your lunch. I have a meeting at the company at 1:30 pm. so I'll have to leave first."
"Aren't you eating?"
"I'll eat along the way. Remember to finish eating before going back to work." The man said before he quickly jumped up onto a bus that had just arrived.
The girl held the lunch box, stood up and cried out, "Remember to eat!"
Chu Ningyi did not know if the man had heard it or not. All he saw was the girl who was holding the lunchbox and smiling. It was something that he had never seen on Shu Anluo's face.
When Shui Anluoe faced him, if she did not have a fawning smile on her face, it was an awkward smile. Otherwise, it was the kind of smile from yesterday — a smile of mockery.
He was suddenly plunged into loss. 'What was love?'
'The man had a meeting in the afternoon. If it were me, I would have ordered lunch for her and sent someone to deliver it to her. I would focus on preparing for the meeting.'
This was the most logical method.
The girl holding the lunchbox was about to leave but suddenly bent down to pick up an access card. "What a scatterbrain," she grumbled. She stood next to the bus stop, clearly waiting to catch the bus and made a call. "Sister Li, I have a sudden emergency. Can I have half an hour off this afternoon? Just half an hour."
The girl asked carefully and the person on the other end gave an unknown answer. She happily thanked them and jumped on the bus that had just arrived. 
Chu Ningyi watched her leave but before she left, he noticed the access card in her hand. So that had been an employee of the Chu Group.
Chu Ningyi looked up and watched as the bus disappeared completely from view. He, who was standing on the street, was lost in a deep reverie.


Divorced, disowned, and down on her luck, Shui Anluo was determined to move on and live a peaceful life… Unfortunately, her ex-husband somehow found out about the baby and insisted that she should move in with him again. Soon, he realizes that he cannot live without her… But the road to marriage is bumpy and Shui Anluo is unwilling to go through heartbreak again. Can she take back everything that had belonged to her and will she find the courage to jump in and fall in love again?

Jason's form could be seen dry heaving on the barren ground as he emptied out his stomach. Even though he knew that it was a zombie, he still felt horrible as if something was squeezing his heart tight. The scene of the zombie's skull bursting open like a watermelon was looping in his mind making him retch unceasingly. A notification had come upon the system HUD indicating one kill status on the starter mission. Arya's condition was no different, she too was puking in while taking the support of the bus.
"What the fuck happened here!" Harry exclaimed on seeing the dead zombie surrounded by brain matter. He came back as fast as he could upon hearing Jason's loud voice. The view was too disgusting for him, he put his hand on his mouth to force stop the upsurge inside his stomach.
These zombies sure were more dangerous than their slower counterparts shown in movies. Jason and Arya composed themselves, they knew that time was of essence in such precarious conditions.
"The bus is this way" Jason dusted himself, he had to compose himself keeping all the dark emotions aside.
The trio of best friends walked towards the bus with pale faces. As they reached the bus Jason opened the driver cabin with the key and sat inside while the other two sat inside near him.
"Do you even know how to drive?" Harry asked skeptically.
"I checked online, it's not much different from driving a car, it's just like a long car" Jason spoke with a smirk on his face.
"Vroom!" the thunderous sound of the engine came as it came to life.
"Let the journey begin, hope we all stay alive" Jason spoke out aloud as he revved up the engine creating a gallant ambiance.
The loud sound attracted weird hungry screams to form the zombies near the bus stand as they rushed towards the bus.
"They aren't human anymore" Jason whispered to himself to appease his moral compass. He shifted the bus to drive mode and pushed down the accelerator lurching the bus forward startling the two passengers.
"Sorry, my bad" Jason said with a sheepish look as he looked their way and loosened up the Accelerator.
 "Concentrate on driving, idiot!" Arya screeched.
"Ok Ok"
The bus zoomed out on the main campus heading towards the main door. There were numerous zombies roaming inside the campus but upon hearing the loud engine of they rushed towards the bus with green saliva dripping from their dangling mouths accompanied with crazed hungry looks.
Upon seeing the incoming zombie hoard the look on Jason's face hardened as he floored the accelerator.
"Brace up!" he shouted out loud as the bus smashed through zombies creating loud impact sounds on the bus front.
The zombie kill indicator went up unceasingly as the bus ripped apart the zombie hoard. There were no humans outside, if there were any survivors they would be inside classrooms or other relatively safe places.
"Another one" Jason Shouted as he saw that the main gate was half-open, they would have to crash it apart as there was no other way out.
"Dang!" the deafening sound of the bus crashing apart the main gate made them wince. The front of the bus was critically damaged but fortunately, the front windshield was still intact.
"We need food and water, and fuel too," Jason said as he accelerated through the main road swiveling left and right to avoid hitting the stray vehicles. There were zombies everywhere and occasionally he would hit zombies creating dull impact sounds.
"yes, maybe getting better weapons from a police station would be a good idea. But before that I want us to find our parents." Harry spoke with a sad tone. Nobody knew how their family members were both Arya and his parents lived in this city and finding them was their priority.
"of course, we'll first head to Arya's home as there is a big food mart there, we'll be able to get enough food there" Jason agreed with harry and set course to Arya's home. He had to trample over many stray vehicles worsening the bus's condition.
Seeing that they were out of imminent danger he turned his attention to the system panel to see what he'd won for completing the first mission.
The countdown for the mission had long stopped as it had been more than 30 minutes since the start of the apocalypse.

On scrolling, through the wide array of guns, he chose a set of dual guns that came with a pair of holsters. The guns were full matt black with silver-colored trigger and aim tip and the holsters were also made of premium black coloured leather lined with thin silver threads creating a mesmerizing design.

Shocked for a second, Eric paused but then continued to training as to not raise suspicion.

'What is an artifact?' he secretly asked the system

As he slowly processed the information, he was started to tremble due to excitement. Because this single definition, told him that there is the existence of Magic and there are people who can control Magic.

While thinking what magic could possibly be, he checked for the definition multiple times to confirm he was not dreaming. 

[Detect location?] The system reminded him a third time.

Knowing that it could possibly dangerous as maybe the other artifact holder could possibly detect him too. Who knew if it was with some kind 'mage' that could control magic and kill him. Or maybe it might be just a random rank 1 artifact lying around that may help him. Thinking for a while he steeled his resolve and decided to try his luck. 

Eric ordered the system to find where the artifact was.

As the system carried out the order, he could feel his strength draining from him along with the stamina. With heavy eyes and trembling legs he forced himself to stay awake.

Thankfully there were many kids just like this all around him, lost in his thoughts he did not notice the passage of time. So as he sat down to rest on his exact spot much like the other kids around.

Only now, when he was looking around did he notice that the sun was about to set in the horizon.

The system soon notified him of the location. Unlike his expectations it was on his 'good friend' Ray.
Turns out his 'friend' Ray also somehow how noticed his probing too.

The two boys looked at each other with eyes full of distrust. Just as Ray was thinking of what to do, he heard the instructor dismissing the class of students.

Standing up slowly, Eric walked towards the castle while signaling Ray to follow him in. He needed to know if Ray was a mage or more importantly if he could be trusted.

Thinking about how to start the conversion both of them walked in silence towards his room. As any other location would be appropriate to start the conversion. After entering the room, and locking the door.

As Eric turned around, Ray asked him "Who are you?"

Also to the people who where reading Bloodline system, it's this but more improved and planned. It doesn't have the bloodline aspect cause it is overused and I want it to be more original and interesting.

Having packed all of their most prized possessions they looked around their home for the last time, this had been their house and now they were going to be moving away to a new home.

 While mother and daughter were relive memories of the past, Joseph went towards a window at the front of the house and as he moved the curtain ever so slightly he noticed movement happening outside. The city guards were moving in quickly and the street itself was being blocked off.

This is trouble thought Joseph as he watched the movements occurring outside on the street, he soon moved away from the window and returned to the two awaiting women.

"Do you have a back door into the house? Because we can't go through the front anymore" - Joseph had just reached the room when he questioned Ann's mother.

Ann's mother nodded. 

"The door in the kitchen leads to the small vegetable garden" - Ann's mother quickly answered wondering why her daughter's Young Master would ask such a question.

"We need to leave now, the commotion from earlier must have triggered something and now the city guard is surrounding us" - A serious tone emanated from Joseph.

"System could you show me any items that cause explosions? Or something that remove any evidence of our being here?" - Surely a system such as the Ascension Merchant would have something capable of doing so, well that's Joseph's thought while waiting for the system reply.

The first three items shown to Joseph aroused a certain curiosity within him, the vast differences in the prices of the three items displayed so he called for the system to bring up a short description to get a better understanding of what he was seeing.

(Item - Elemental Shredder - 25 AME
Definition: A small elemental creature from a distant world, it is playful in nature when in the company of other elemental creatures. If it finds itself with no others of its kind in its immediate surroundings it will trigger a hidden ability Rage. Rage causes the small elemental creature to forcefully evolve into an Elemental Goliath. Warning elemental death upon exhaustion.)

Definition: The epitome of goblin stupidity. The Goblin Star Bomb was created during the reign of Krianuil Ovzate III primarily to destroy his enemies, he ended up destroying his own kingdom instead. Due to the nature of goblin intelligence and shrewdness the size of the explosion may range from losing a couple of fingers, destroying one's kingdom and possible planet termination. RIP Goblins)

"......" - Joseph was left stunned reading what he was seeing, of all the items he had seen thus far he had been surprised the most by the Goblin Star bomb.

He definitely would not be getting that, far too dangerous.

Sure they may be in a slightly dire situation, but he had not gone brain dead so why risk himself for such a strange item. With that thought in mind, Joseph also started to wonder if there were any goblins still alive or if they had killed themselves all off by now.

"System I'll buy three Statue of Summoning please" - Joseph made a decision and risk to see what come from the summons.

He was not quite sure how dangerous the Elemental Shredder would be so better to go with maybe the least dangerous of the three options he first looked at. While he could have had a better look at other items, time was running out.

"Ok ladies stay by the back door and get ready to leave quickly" - It was time to make a move so Joseph went over to make sure Ann and her mother were ready to leave.

"Were ready!" - Came a quick reply both excitement and a bit panic could be found in the voices.

Joseph approached the door and activated his Gaze of Deception and opened the door.

As the city guards and their commander had finished the barricade they all looked towards a single house.

They had only been told to set up the barricade and remain on high alert.

Suddenly the sound of a door opening could be heard and the house they were all looking at was slowly opening.

While the guards looked on, none could see the inside of the house. The house seemed to be shrouded in darkness, a darkness that seemed to devour any light source.

From this darkness several tendrils emerged and seemed to move outwards from the front door, fear could be seen on the faces of the guards.

There were many things that existed in the world, but most city guards mostly lived within their respective cities having never experienced the horror's their world and others had to offer.

From within the darkness a single man emerged and he took his time to look both sides of the street having been blocked.

"What is the meaning of this?" - A heavy and guttural sound emerged from underneath the hood of the cloaked figure.

*THUCK*

Before the city commander could reply, a clumsy and very afraid guard pulled the trigger on his crossbow and fired the bolt in the direction of the hooded man.

The female clerk said to Josh. Josh bought a coke zero and thanked the clerk before he followed her instructions through the woods. On the way he was assaulted by mosquitoes and flies, and after a bloody war he arrived at a grey, tall and wide building with shattered windows and broken bottles all over. Josh walked into the building and saw needles, cans, ashes, bottles and tubes all over the floor. Josh asked the System: "Can you take care of the waste? and start what you can of upgrades and fortifications?". The System didn't say anything, but suddenly a bright green light surrounded the building and the trash disappeared. And when the light disappeared, Josh saw that the floor was shining, and he could almost look at his own reflection. 

Josh asked the System while still looking around, surprised at how clean it was: "What did you do with the trash?" This time the System answered: [ I am currently sorting useful from useless, and recycling it, the fortifications become cheaper that way.] Josh thought that could be quite useful and walked up the crumbling stair to the second floor. Here, it was holes in the floor and walls, and there were signs of birds living there because of the nest with eggs in it, placed in the corner. Josh asked the System doubtfully: "Did you really remove all the trash?" The System said in its usual cold and nonchalant voice: [yes, the nest is there because canned food won't last forever, mutant meat taste good and you can train them to become guards for food here.] Josh was surprised at this answer, since he never thought so far, just considering that the factory had no security made Josh worried and happy at the same time because this meant he could improve, and that the System actually thought so far ahead made Josh wonder what more the System knew and could do. He asked: " Can you fix the holes and stairs while we are here, System?" The System answered: I would need concrete and steel in the building to fix and fortify it, I can't do anything without that, so i guess we should move ahead on the schedule when it is about earning money since you have used almost all you own on a few things. Go to the closest area where you can bet on horses, IL help you win more by gambling more dangerously.] 

Josh asked, surprised: "How can you be so sure on winning?" The System:… [Gambling and a few predictions.] Josh: .... I hope you bet better than you talk, let's go. Josh left the factory and locked the doors with the key he got when he bought the place and started to walk towards the bloody war zone once again. When Josh got out of the forest, it looked like he had lost half a litre of blood, as pale as he was. He went to the bus stop, pulled up his phone and searched for the closest horse racing area, which was apparently just 13 minutes away from him with bus. Josh decided to wait, and while he was waiting, he went on Spotify and listened to Beast in Black "Blind and Frozen". When the bus finally came, Josh got on, paid for the ticket and found an empty seat at the end of the bus. After a while he saw a big plain with fences around where a lot of people gathered and cheered.

What would you do if you had one month to prepare for the apocalypse? And where would be the best place to hide? Not a mall, a military base or your house, but an old factory. Why you ask? because of the Iron gate, fence, generator, the space etc

"Who I was before? I don't know. Should I worry? Maybe? Will I save the world? Yeah, not my problem. Good luck, though. My little sister is in trouble! Get outta my way! Big bro is coming to help! Even if I have to leave the world to its destruction!"

The jeep crashed to the back of the bus making the bus lose control momentarily. Jason grit his teeth as he tried his best to control the wobbling bus. The jeep, on the other hand, crashed to the side as it's hood spat up globs of white smoke. A middle-aged man came out of the offroad vehicle as he watched the bus finally stop wobble.
Jason heaved a sigh of relief as he finally stopped the bus. The bus was essential for their survival till they find a better vehicle. He can't be like others who can live holed up with enough food and water, he'll have to slaughter zombies to grow stronger. He can only forge ahead and kill all the zombies in his way to grow strong enough to guarantee his and his loved one's safety. 
He didn't even look back to see if the man was okay or not, it was his own mistake that he crashed into them. He fired up the engine and took off leaving the man in a daze as he watched the bus go leaving a trail of zombie bodies.
"Why didn't you stop to check on the man he could be hurt," Arya asked him in a blaming tone. 
"first of all it's his mistake he crashed into us and the second we are running out of time, we have to loot the food from the mall as once people come to their senses and get adapted to the apocalypse the first thing they will go after will be places with food and weapons," Jason said with a serious tone, trying to make her understand the severity of the situation.
"And the world isn't the same as before Arya it'll become crueler as law and order are bound to fall and you'll have to adapt accordingly and  become ruthless and calculative to survive. If we had stopped to check on the man he would either be our enemy or a burden to us. We want neither right now" 
Arya didn't really agree with him but she could understand his reason so she let it be for now. "we should also find some common medicines and basic first aid, we will need them if we get hurt or fall ill" She was a medical student and had some rudimentary knowledge of medicine and first aid.
This made Jason fall in deep thought as he had seen some medicines in the system shop. He thought about opening them in his mind to see what kind of medicines the system provided right now.
A list of tabs opened up with all of them blacked out with only 4 lit up.
1 Basic healing cream: 100 COINS
Heals external wounds.
2 immunity  shot:500 COINS
Prevents the spreading of virus trough zombie bites, it doesn't cure an already infected person.
3 healing pill:500 COINS
Heals internal ailments
4 Asura drug :1000 COINS 
It gives an instant boost to the consumer's body but leaves him in a state of extreme weakness for a day afterwards.
The descriptions were so brief that made him think that the system was just a lazy pig who hated describing things properly.
He looked to see the total no. of coins he had right now, it was  1150, meaning he had killed 50 zombies In total as the other 1100 came from his first mission. He also had to buy the gun as he had forgotten to buy it after the crash.
 He bought the gun which cost him 400 coins with a big box of ammunition. The best thing about the unlocked inventory was that he could load the ammunition inside the gun right after taking out the previous magazine without needing to manually insert it. This trick was quite handy but it was only reserved for emergencies as he didn't want to disclose his powers to anyone for now. His powers were something that made him different from all the other people and keeping it a secret will be beneficial to him in the long run.
They reached the mall as he finished his monologue, but they hadn't thought about one big problem. They couldn't take the bus with them inside, their turtle strategy wouldn't work inside the mall. The inside of the mall will be filled with zombies and they will have to kill them all to be able to move all the food inside. The other problem was that there might be survivors hidden inside and he didn't know how they will react. He will help them as much he can without hurting himself or his teammates as their own safety comes first.
He parked the bus at the entry of the mall attracting some zombies towards them, the zombies started banging and scratching the bus going crazy for food. 
The atmosphere inside the bus was so heavy that they could hear each other's tentative breaths.
"we'll have to slaughter our way inside as food is necessary for survival. The moment we step out of the bus we'll be out of the safety of the bus. Harry, you'll come with me and Arya you stay inside we need someone to guard the bus."
Both of them nodded their heads stiffly, all of this was still new and terrifying to them. Hary's legs were slightly quivering due to fear but he still stood strong as he said.
"We'll follow what you say bro, you are the only reason we are alive right now and you seem to know more about the apocalypse than us." 
"Hit the zombies on their heads and don't let them bite you. You won't have to do much just guard me as I deal with them." Jason said strongly invoking courage in his teammate's hearts. He showed his Hollisters to show his guns to his teammates.
The gun's made his teammate's eyes widen as they didn't know he had them.
"Don't ask right now just follow me, for now, I'll explain once we solve the food issue"
The statement stopped the barrage of questions that would surely come after the miraculous appearance of guns.
He took out one gun and gave it to Harry and taught him the basics about aiming and how to always turn off the safety in dangerous conditions to save both time and lives.
"Arya, stay on the bus and don't hesitate to use the baseball bat in case of emergencies."
"Okay" Arya nodded strongly.
'Bang' Jason shot a zombie trying to crawl at the drivers' cabin, he had aimed at the zombie's forehead but the bullet pierced the neck of the zombie making it fall down. Even though the system gave him the gunslinging skill the accuracy of his shots still needed a lot of Improvement. The bullet shattered the backbone of the zombie making it unable to move anymore.
"Lets go" Jason beckoned Harry as he jumped down from the bus on the zombies body making a bone cracking sound on impact as he caved its ribcage inside due to impact.

Jason Iroas awakens the system in the midst of an ongoing class, the system tells him that an apocalypse is heading his way in 30 minutes, and the only way for him to level up is to slaughter zombies without abandon. Read on as Jason finds out that the upcoming apocalypse will be the least of his problems in the future.
