"My face…" Liu Jiayu whimpered, both appalled and aghast. 
The pain was agonizing; Liu Jiayu felt as if her flesh had been peeled away, and as she opened her mouth to speak, she felt a breeze blow into her throat, but it didn't enter from her parted lips. 
It felt like the air came in sideways…
Several sharp intakes of breath could suddenly be heard from the spectators in the front row.
"How terribly grotesque…" 
Liu Jiayu overheard them whispering.
It was not just a feeling, Liu Jiayu realized then and there, terror seizing her heart. 
Li Meirong had actually torn the skin from her face!
To the spectators, the left side of Liu Jiayu's mouth was visible through her cheek. Her bloodied gums and teeth gaped through the newly-formed hole in her face.
Li Meirong reached Liu Jiayu and grasped a fistful of her hair, a cruel smile curving her lips as she observed her handiwork.
"I personally think you look much better with a permanent smile. At least this time it does not seem too fake."
Liu Jaiyu's chest rose and fell rapidly with her panicked breaths. She glared at Li Meirong, feeling as though she was staring the devil in the face.
"This daring tongue no longer seems necessary," Li Meirong continued, voice cold. "Since you appear to have no good use for it, shall I pluck it out for you?"
"Stay away from me!"
Unfazed by her opponent's cries, Li Meirong ruthlessly clamped her fingers down on Liu Jiayu's jaw until the latter's lips were forcibly pried open.
"No! Let go! Let go of me!" Liu Jiayu was helplessly rooted to the spot. Her eyes nervously darted from side to side as Li Meirong slowly began to curl her fingers.
From the corner of her eye, Liu Jiayu discovered her salvation, glimpsing her last hope. The Blood Sucking Parasol was there, near her feet!
In spite of Li Meirong's hold limiting her movement, Liu Jiayu reached out to grab the parasol, fighting against Li Meirong's painful grip with all her strength.
Against all odds, the edges of Liu Jiayu's fingertips scraped the parasol's handle.
Yet fate refused to lend Liu Jiayu a helping hand. Li Meirong's inhuman strength kept squeezing her jaw, in a single-minded pursuit to tear out the tongue which dared speak ill of her. 
Li Meirong held Liu Jiayu just far enough away that Liu Jiayu could not make the extra little push to properly grasp the parasol.
Finally, Li Meirong pried Liu Jiayu's mouth wide open, dug her fingers inside, and then began to viciously tear her tongue out.
Liu Jiayu tried to cry for help, but her anguished screams were muffled by the hand shoved in her mouth and partially down her throat. Tears welled up and spilled over, an involuntary reaction to the agony she was suffering.
The salty liquid dripped into the open wounds of Liu Jiayu's cheek and mouth, adding to the stinging, burning pain.
The Grandmaster of the Armament Division felt his heart contract in his chest as he watched the violent display. Although the tournament rules forbade ending the battle before the announcement of a winner, he nevertheless rushed to his feet at the torture his disciple was undergoing.
An intense loathing burned through the Armament Division Grandmaster as he glared at Li Meirong. There was a saying that a person's true character was revealed in the face of adversity, and after all the years he spent taking care of Liu Jiayu, the Armament Division's Grandmaster was well aware of his succeeding disciple's personal flaws. 
However, he hadn't expected that junior, Li Meirong, to be an opponent so bold, so fearless, that she would not be willing to give a grandmaster at the nascent soul stage any face!

'This loathsome girl!' The Armament Division's Grandmaster gnashed his teeth. He regretted listening to the Sword Bearer's Grandmaster. Because of him, his precious student had been humiliated in front of everybody!
"I announce Li Meirong as the winner!" The Armament Division's Grandmaster immediately called out, gritting out the words. 
Even though the Armament Division's Grandmaster knew he broke the rules, he nevertheless interfered with the battle in order to save his disciple. The moment a winner was announced, the participants were forced to cease fighting.
"Oh, very well…" Li Meirong muttered, obviously unsatisfied by the outcome.
She slowly withdrew her hand from Liu Jiayu's mouth, having released her grip on the other woman's tongue. Her nose scrunched up in disgust as she produced a handkerchief with which she could wipe the saliva and blood from her hand.
Liu Jiayu's eyes locked onto the loathsome girl before her. She forced herself to ignore the crippling pain of her torn tongue and ripped cheek, and used the exact moment Li Meirong was distracted to direct the Blood Sucking Parasol at her open wound.
"Die!" bawled Liu Jiayu.


Just as Li Meirong thought her life couldn't get any worse, she transmigrated into an abused body of a servant girl being sold at a brothel in a completely different world.

Although, I could not help but feel a bit sorry when the boy died of a heart attack from overworking when he was 24. 
I reached out to the soul of the boy.
I could not offer him much.

His soul shook when I spoke.
"Are you... God?"
- I am a god, but not of your world. 
"So you are God?"

Why did he only have a chance at saving the world? Why was humanity already on the brink of extinction? Most gods summon heroes early enough to guarantee their world's protection. I, too, attempted to do so. If his line of thinking reached this far, he could easily connect me to his "accident" ten years ago. The chances of him being willing to help me out at that point would be slim.
What was hardest to explain was my own behavior. Why did I allow him to recover from the crash ten years ago? I could have just finished the deed then and there. Manipulating electricity in this world is easy enough. Equipment malfunction, power failure, power surge, there were these options and plenty more. If I had just done that, I could have brought him to my world in time.
Why?
I was... confused.
Why did I want him to live?
Why did I watch him all this time even I turned a blind eye to my people suffering?

Although such an attack can cause a lot of damage, the enemy Army isn't completely dumb nor frozen in fear to the point of being target practice.

A new wave of arrows reached for the sky and then towards their targets. Although the first round caused an uncertain number of deaths, this time the story is different. 15 men are dead due to the arrow attack, they were either shot on the face, neck or faced a head penetration. Unfortunately, the victims weren't anyone from the illustratian Alliance. Pameres Kingdom's Platoons are the Victims! That's the sacrifice of war after all, you can't always win or escape without losses.

But the battle goes on, King Michael did notice those men being killed already that's why he yelled an order once again. "Don't cease Fire, keep shooting at the same direction! If you are certain that you spot an Archer, try your best to shoot him down!"

Afterwards with the little power he had, King Michael walked his way towards King Zar and tried to pull him back towards the other edge of the wall. "You shouldn't be here, exposed to arrows. The Kingdom needs their King to be alive after we win this Battle!"

Convinced partially about Victory but mostly trying to make King Michael sit, King Zar didn't hesitate too much and aided him to walk. "You really think we have a chance of victory? These are a lot more than 300 Soldiers, or at least where."

Drowsy enough to not notice that fact so far, King Michael at least had a valuable explanation. "I think Eric miscalculated the size of the Army, they were a lot more than 600!" Trying hard to take a peek at the battle field behind King Zar, he added with as much seriousness as a deadly tired man can have. "If we are lucky enough, this should be the entire Army. Pray to the Source of Fire or whatever you believe in that there isn't a second round of Soldiers."

While on the battlefield, the enemy Soldiers have broken a huge close combat battle against Woldemir's Platoon, for a moment it seemed like most of the Army is charging at them. The waves of Soldiers did not stop coming! Kill one, another appeared! Kill 10 more, 15 more rushed into battle! A huge hassle. Possibly because the four most powerful men of this Platoon attracted a lot of Soldiers, seeing this small group as the strongest they chose to execute them first.

Close combat is proven deadly and on this day it was proven once more, half of Woldemirs Platoon is gone! Dead! Nothing can undo life loss! As much as it pains me, they didn't make it. As for the Calidum Lutum and Woldemir, they were still deep in battle slashing and smashing against as many enemies as humanly possible.

Losing nearly 100 men so far might sound bad enough, it is over ⅓ of the current available Guards! But the kill spree didn't stop there! Arrows flew once more towards the sky and the enemy Archers had no intent of hitting the ground, they were targeting the Archers on the walls who proved more than troublesome to this illustrarian Army.

An Arrow broke near King Michael's feet and a Guard fell after it too! It was clear that he was shot in the head with a penetration of at least 3 inches deep, apparently it was enough to kill the man! They can't do anything to help this Guard with foul luck.

It was a disturbing scene without thinking twice, after this day King Michael became quite used of slaughter. An arrow on a man's head was nothing but a mildly disturbing scene, but it hurt more since this Guard died trying to protect his own Kingdom. He wasn't the only one, 10 more Guards were shot dead and 5 others were injured, 3 of which have fatal injuries.

"Shit!" Whispered King Michael and took a more analyzed glance around to see if Eric is shot or at least still Alive, this shower of arrows ended up as very impactful and they don't seem to stop with one round. "We need to get you down from here. It isn't safe!" Urged King Michael, trying to drag King Zar off of these walls but he is just as powerful as a newborn Deer at this very moment, he can't walk properly. So he almost fell down from the wall!

"Forget me, we need to get you down from here. We can't loose a Grand Master!" Little did they know, while King Zar was accompanying King Michael down the Stone Stairs, some Guards from the two Pameres Kingdom Platoons already sneaked their way around the battling men and caught the Archers off Guard.

The enemy Archers used to be around a Hundred when they reached the Kingdom but now their numbers dropped around 60! That's still a large number compared to the 10 Guards who managed to sneak around them and slay 10 of them before the rest noticed.

Once the rest of the Archers acknowledged that these slick enemies are close, 2 Guards from Pameres Kingdom ended up with several Arrows from their head to their chest and even as low as their knees while the remaining Guards took the opportunity to strike while the Archers were reloading.

5 more Archers were slayed before 3 more Guards were shot dead! These Guards are working against all odds and are partially succeeding, even if their success led to their own death. They gladly sacrificed themselves for Pameres Kingdom, died in battle with glory and pride knowing and feeling it with their heart that they fought for the right Domain.

On the other side of the Archers, the strongest Calidum Lutum started slicing through once he noticed how much of an impact these Archers are causing in this battle. Fighting an enemy through close combat is hard enough, but having to deal with unpredictable arrows too? It's a big hassle.

The remaining Archers shot one last time against the wall, and now since their numbers are lower, they only managed to kill around 4 Archers on the wall while 5 others were just lightly injured, not enough to stop fighting though.

It is fair to say that all of the Guards that stand with Pameres Kingdom, don't have to worry about arrows anymore throughout this battle, their odds of winning are still slim though. The 10 foot tall Calidum Lutum killed each and every Archer even though his torso was covered with one inch deep arrows! There has to be at least 20 arrows on him! How much can one man take before collapsing out of pain?! We get that he has rough skin but, isn't this overdone? Good enough, out of 10 from those Guards who managed to attack the Archers, ended up with only 2 more remained. Obviously the lost lives will be missed, but there is no time to feel sad now.

The strongest Calidum Lutum was sure under a lot of pain but he showed no sign of stopping, no sign of victims but quantities can prove dangerous. Once he killed all of the Archers, he continued to attack the Swordsmen from blindspots, commonly hitting two men at once. And with every successful swing, he swiftly pulled an arrow out of his body since the arrow tails slowed down his swings.

Every hero however can meet a foul end, he was a bit cloudy minded to the point of not paying attention to his surroundings. While he was slaughtering some men from the side, more men surrounded him from all sides and struck many blind blows. Primarily hitting behind the knees until they managed to completely cut through! They cut his leg off!

Howling in pain, the 10 foot tall Guard fell to the ground and received his fate. Tens of swings were already thrown against him once he hit the ground, he faced a horrible painful death but he died as nothing less but a Battle Hero. Such a kill however, raised the ego of these foul illustratios, they will boast about killing such a beast if they make it out of here alive.

Woldemir's Platoon lost 50 Guards so far and their losses wouldn't stop there, Pameres Kingdom's Platoons lost 100 men on the battlefield and 15 more Archers were killed on the walls. This only points out one thing, there are around 80 men left and nearly half of them were on the walls!

As for the illustratian Army, there are nearly 200 of them still alive! At this rate, Pameres Kingdom has a slight chance of victory but all the Guards will die unless they retreat in the Kingdom, we don't see that happening.

Out of a sudden, it seems like their fate changed! Louder screams were heard from the back of the Army as if a Source Bear attacked from behind and was chewing through its Victim!

Eric's hands dug in a Black Wolf's chest for the sake of self defense, a Fireball howled from his palms after out of pure fear, splitting the Wolf in half! That's where his Destiny began!

Fire? Ice? What's one magic when Eric as the Electus can use all 8? At the end of the day, what is magic? Is it really magic? Do Demons have anything to do with this?

Continent of Ignis! Going through racial cleansing, land wars, an economical collapse too! But it's still nothing compared to the "Peaceful" Demons who want Ignis and the rest of the 13 Continents gone, tearing their way through everything to achieve their goal!

"That's too difficult," Xiao Qi responded. "And it's too dangerous. The throne-claiming battle is a matter of life or death, are you really going to go against King Jing and King Ping?"
Chu Li replied, "One step at a time. I'll have to think of a way to do it discreetly, it can't be on a grand scale."
"That's even tougher," Xiao Qi said.
Chu Li smiled. "Wouldn't it be boring if it's easy? Life is only interesting when there are challenges, it'll be dull if we simply stay in our residence. We still have a long way to go in our lives."
Xiao Qi reminded, "Going against Lu Yurong will be difficult, she's too smart."
Chu Li chuckled. "It'll be great if I can rope her in since our odds of success will increase if we join hands."
"It's actually a piece of cake for you to rope her in." Xiao Qi smiled faintly.
Chu Li was curious. "How?"
"You should know." Xiao Qi put on a smile so striking it was as if the snowfall on a winter's day had cleared.
Chu Li burst out laughing. "Haha, you'll be jealous!"
"It's not jealousy." Xiao Qi pursed her lips together. "I'm certain she has feelings for you."
"You're taking it the wrong way," Chu Li responded.
Xiao Qi expressed, "You don't have to explain. I know that you treat each other with respect, have similar minds, and are confidants."
Chu Li reached his hand out to pull her onto his lap. He took a moment to enjoy the incredible softness of her bottom cheeks, as well as the delicate fragrance of her body. "How can I have such thoughts when you're around!"
Xiao Qi uttered, "Men and women have different natures, you can be fond of two people at the same time."
Chu Li switched the topic as he asked with a smile, "Does the High Duke's Public House have an ancestral rule that states that one must not participate in a throne-claiming battle?"
Xiao Qi answered, "There's no need for the High Duke's Public House to get involved, it's a hard but thankless job. Regardless of who becomes the next emperor, the High Duke's Public House remains as it is. While the emperor's a variable, the High Duke's Public House's a constant!"
Chu Li then said, "That's great, I've decided to make Xu An the emperor."
"It'll be difficult," Xiao Qi stressed again.
"It all depends on our effort," Chu Li explained, "It's better than helping another person with no benefits for myself in return. Nevertheless, this mustn't be rushed, we'll have to wait until Xu An's a few years older."
"The emperor's throne waits for no one," Xiao Qi reminded.
Chu Li grinned. "We just have to create confusion and inform King Ping about it now."
"King Ping wants to claim the throne too, why would he agree!" Xiao Qi furrowed her brows.
Chu Li commented, "I know what King Ping's thinking, he doesn't intend to become the emperor, he only wants revenge!"
"He won't pin his hope on you," Xiao Qi said.
Chu Li smiled. "I'll try to convince him otherwise."

The next morning, Chu Li left King An's Imperial Residence and headed to King Ping's Imperial Residence.
After the protector at King Ping's Imperial Residence passed the message, Chu Li entered the residence and was personally welcomed by King Ping. The two of them went to the lake in the backyard.
Chu Li noticed that King Ping seemed calm, unaffected by the rumors.
They settled down in the gazebo over the lake. Once the maid who served them tea left, King Ping asked, "You're here to comfort me, aren't you?"
Chu Li shook his head. "That's irrelevant. If everything goes well, the emperor will appoint King Jing as the crown prince within two days."
King Ping nodded as he looked at the glistening lake.
Chu Li added, "Your Highness, I'd like to let Xu An join the throne-claiming battle."
King Ping turned to look at him, clearly dumbfounded.
Chu Li continued, "I don't want to be under anyone's control anymore and I no longer want to be restrained by the emperor."
"You're not going to help me claim the throne?" King Ping asked.
Chu Li sighed. "The odds of your success are too small, Your Highness."
Previously, he could not make sense of why the Emperor was not going to pass the throne to King Ping. He thought that it was merely because of the Emperor's personal preference. Now, he slowly began to understand the Emperor's helplessness.
"Xu An has an even slimmer chance, doesn't he?" King Ping was confused.
Feeling betrayed, King Ping was rather annoyed as Chu Li was supposed to help him claim the throne.
Chu Li exhaled. "Although Xu An's still young, he has a higher chance of succeeding the throne. If the Emperor really wanted you to inherit the throne, he wouldn't have insisted for so many years to appoint King Jing as the crown prince. In terms of contribution to Ji Dynasty, King Jing did way less than you, and in terms of the relationship between a father and a son, the Emperor's more fond of you too."
King Ping nodded with a frown.
Chu Li added, "You know the Emperor's concerns."
"Uh…" King Ping smiled bitterly as he shook his head.
"It's different for Xu An." Chu Li smiled. "Xu An's a Buddhist from Titanium Temple, he's good-natured and quick-witted. He won't conflict with Fu Dynasty's existence and it'll be the best for Ji Dynasty if he governs by doing nothing that goes against nature."
King Ping stated his concern, "But Xu An's a generation younger, he has no advantage against Sixth Younger Brother."
Chu Li mentioned, "If Xu An has your support, Your Highness, he'll come out ahead of King Jing."
"Me…?" King Ping frowned then kept quiet.

Years ago, just three generations back, there were 5 tribes of shifters that ran the land of the Frost. We had no true government. Each tribe had a leader, and a council made up of the elders of every family. Back then, Frost Locals were all nomads then, they hunted for food and moved as the food did. We didn't have the ability to grow food, it was before the SnowDrop Flower was implanted in Crystalsa's chest. 

There was only one problem, a few of the other nations wanted to try and conquer the Frost Lands and bend them to their will. The tribes individually had no chance of truly succeeding against those odds. So, the Frost lands decided to become a kingdom. The thing about becoming a kingdom is, we had to decide what type of government we wanted. Everyone expected an empire with Emperor, Empress and Kings. However, we decided on a kingdom, like Shadow Vale. One King, One Queen  and a council of elders to help keep the pulse of the people.All that remained was deciding on a king and queen. You see, we didn't want to start our new kingdom in blood. 

So the tribe elders gathered and debated. In the end it was decided that there were two main tribes that could have been our Ruling class, the Wolves and the Bears. In order to be fair, the decision was made to take the Bear Cheif's son and have him marry one of the wolfelder'as daughters. You see, the bear clan Son Krin was renowned for his intelligence and integrity. He was fair, and very very strong. The wolf clan had 4 daughters and 2 sons but their sons were not known for their ability to lead. They were both Omegas. So it was decided Krin would be king and choose his bride of the four daughters.

Krin decided he wished to marry the youngest daughter of the arctic wolf family, Crystalsa. She was not very… well loved because she was not a fighter. She was a hunter, and she helped take care of the young. A mother figure, just as she always has been. She was considered an Omega, rather than an Alpha and less than a good match for Krin, but she was the one he chose. He made it clear he wanted to marry her and despite attempts at changing his mind, he remained firm. The Clan agreed that it was Krin's choice and if he wanted no other wolf another clan would give him choice of their daughters. Unwilling to give up that power, the Wolf Clan agreed to marry her off. 

Krin and Crystalsa made many changes to our kingdom. They built the Palace, and became good partners, even if somewhat dysfunctional. Under their direction the nomadic territories began working together and becoming one clan. It was an amazing time for us, trade and order became commonplace. 

They had several children and The Frost land Royals made friends with the Shadow Veil family, who also refused to play the games the three Empires. During one of their trips there, Mordrin's Great Grandmother had given Crystalsa a gift. A handwritten book, the history of the Shadow Veil kingdom. 

This book had started something totally new for Crystalsa. A love for reading. She began gathering books from her travels, and Krin assisted in hiring many storytellers to pen their tales and add to his wife's library. He may have been a gruff man, but he did care for her happiness. They spent much of their quiet time reading together or to their dear children. Eventually, Crystalsa began writing the history of the Frost Lands. She also encouraged her children to write as well.  Eventually, they compiled quite the group of books, they had named them Vilorn Fior. Vilorn means life learning and Fior which means Memories. These books act as a guide for learning what our Predecessors already knew so we may not make the same mistakes they had. Every tribe has their own group of these books, written by their elders one copy of which is always copied upon the author's death and added to the Queen's Own Collection.

These books were written by every royal since. The book given by the Shadow Vale Queen was the turning point for the Frost Born Children. We became creatures of knowledge and understanding, rather than driven by our instincts and emotions. When Krin was killed by an assassin, Queen Crystalsa raised their children and ran the kingdom herself. She was Queen of the largest shifter community in existence, and determined we would be our own people. 

In a world left with scars from a great war, the humans rejoice in their victory, but also weep at the cost. Unaware of the blind hatred that led to the slaughter, an entire race was nearly erased from the face of their lands. They believed they had wiped the shifters from the face of the planet, little did they know very few lived on in the very forests they visited, and in the villages they traded with. Forced into hiding, the shifters built a new clan, and lived by the old rules, hiding from humanity.

Rubbing her burning eyes Jayde cursed everyone — the humans who had driven the silver dragons to extinction, the Direwolves for harming Yinxin, the shitting Protoss Divine System for sending her here. She had never felt so helpless in her life.

Damn it, NO! She thought she refused to allow this to happen. She had fought bigger battles before against tremendous odds — if she had to take on death himself then she damn well would she swore to herself.

There was one last thing she could do, it was damn dangerous but thankfully Isha wasn't there – if he knew was she was about to attempt he would be screaming in her mind. Entering her body she rushed to her dantian, looking at the sealed-off area where the powerful energy from the fire spirit was still safety warded off, she took a deep breath, then without hesitating she directly her mind and energy into the ward, and tore it open.

All the energy stored within the ward, poured into Jayde body, the overpowering Qi burned as it tore through Jayde, closing her mind off from the pain, Jayde watched as her dantian filled up, as she reached the barrier to breakthrough to Knight of the 2nd Class, she resisted the breakthrough — with no where to go the energy within her dantian began to overflow, like before with the fire spirit, the energy began to turn on her, spilling into her meridians and veins.

Her blood was starting to boil from the pure energy invading her veins, watching Jayde could see her veins bulging, using her magical sensing, Jayde directed her magical tendrils to grab that excess energy and she directed it to her hands. 

The energy refused to move, but Jayde refused to give up, concentrating every once of her power she commanded the energy to obey. 

Initially, the energy fought her command, Jayde didn't give up, she sent more and more tendril out – her magical senses where stretched to the absolute limit.

Finally, the energy capitulated and followed her command, it surged into her hands, Jayde could feel her hands starting to heat up, but she did not dare break her concentration to look, forcing the energy in her hands to exited through her skin she directed it to enter Yinxin.

Jayde could feel the energy leaving her and entering Yinxin, her hands were burning like she was holding molten metal, but Jayde ignored it and carried on directing all the excess energy to Yinxin.

While Jayde was battling the energy, Reiko had no idea what was going on. He had felt Jayde despair through their bond, then the next thing he had felt her unwavering determination. 

A couple of seconds later, he felt a split second of pain shoot through their bond, then the bond suddenly shut down. 

Scared and worried about Jayde, he stood up and rushed to her side, all of a sudden Jayde hands started to glow first, it was faint, but the light kept on getting brighter until he finally had to shade his eyes.

He wasn't sure how she was doing it, but somehow she was succeeding, she was transferring energy to Yinxin.

After what felt like hours, Jayde had managed to transfer all the excess energy in her body to Yinxin, opening her eyes tiredly she looked at the dragon in front of her, Yinxin scales where shining brightly, and her breathing was normal.

She had done it! 

She had successfully transferred the energy stored in the seal to the silver dragon. With that thought, Jayde finally relaxed, and with her relaxing the terrible pain in her hands registered. Looking at her hands that were still cupped to the side on Yinxin face, Jayde saw that they were shredded, not a piece of skin remained —just raw meat showed.

Jayde's blood coated Yinxin face.

[Jayde, your hands] Reiko horrified voice echoed through Jayde mind.

[It's okay Reiko] Jayde tried to reassure him.

Lifting her raw hands away from Yinxin face, Jayde let her arms fall limply to her sides. She knew that she had to take out a healing potion from her storage ring, but the pain in her hands was making it difficult to concentrate.

She could feel her eyes going dark. I must not faint, she thought. If she did she would most likely bleed to death.

Fighting to stay awake, she tried to clear her mind so that she could enter her storage ring to get one of the healing potions stored.

[Jayde!] Reiko called anxiously.

Reiko's voice helped Jayde to clear the blackness crowding her mind, quickly before she lost consciousness Jayde directed her mind into her storage and grabbed one of the intermediate healing potions she had, then clenching her teeth, she used her left hand to lift the bottle to her mouth, the pain was excruciating, Jayde felt like vomiting from it.

Somehow she managed to pour the potion into her mouth, but it took the last bit of energy that she had. Jayde face paled even further — even her lips looked as they were barely there anymore as the color drained from her face. Then she fell backward as her world went dark.

The succeeding days went in a blur. 
The sports fest at Xue Shipping continued successfully until the teams had collected respective points and wins.  Expectantly, the yellow team – Xue Guangxi's team – had been on the lead towards the championship.
In one of the Xue family's dinners, Zhao Feiyan had been happily and proudly bragging about it, only to be shot by Master Xue with such a hurtful, sarcastic comment. "If he's that capable, then he should have done it with more serious matters other than just games and sports!  In the company, for example!"
Xue Guangxi could only let it pass since he valued peace.  His father was right, anyway.  So he thought to himself while fisting his hands under the table, 'Just wait and see.  I will make something relevant out of myself.  I will prove myself.'
During one of the games, the young master himself attended the event.  It was not announced beforehand and utterly random, and everybody was taken by surprise.  He took the time to engage casually with the employees.  He inquired some of them who were seated near him on the bleachers how they had been doing as if he was an old friend that had not been in touch with them for a long time.  He was too casual yet still managing a certain degree of self-preservation but enough to make the employees easily share with cheerful faces their pleasant experiences in the company.  He could feel their sincerity in their words; however, he couldn't be certain if they were simply being polite.
After that impromptu attendance at the sports fest, the Xue young master attended the company meetings almost daily.
He had completely embraced his position and authority. Clad with a crisp, black suit, slacks, and leather shoes, every morning, the view temporarily lit whenever he passed by the foyer, smartly and confidently walking into a brisk stroll towards his office suite.  All the ladies stopped whatever they were doing involuntarily as they froze on-the-spot and used that precious fleeting moment to take a good glimpse of the outstanding president.  At first, they thought that his presence would be rare and so they secretly took photos of him as some sort of souvenir.  Little did they know that the young master was there to stay. 
The ladies fawning over him cheered in glee, but their happiness was short-lived when a company rumor had spread that the reason why the young master was staying in the country was to be available for his pregnant wife.
Oh, how it broke the ladies' hearts, no one could fathom.
Yet, they still admired him from afar because they were convinced it was harmless anyway.
Other company gossips sprouted like mushrooms after the first one – such as his absence was due to elopement with a flame, and because if this, he had been estranged from his family, even if he was the heir, and all this mess he had fixed with marriage and the conception of another heir his family could not neglect before coming back.
Some more romantic variants mutated and were spread among the employees, often shared and talked about at the ladies' powder rooms where all the gossips seemed to originate. 
And so, in the eyes of the ladies, he somewhat wore the hat of a hopeless romantic, a true prince charming who would fight against all odds for the one who owns his heart.
Nothing could be confirmed, though. But the ladies prefer to be dreamy over some fairy tale than believe in harsh realities of life. 
Xue Jinxu, being a lady herself, and a user of that venerated gossip focal point – the restroom, had, of course, heard about the rumors which she had brushed off with rolling of her eyes and some rants to the husband.  The indulging husband patiently waited until her temper simmered because most often than not, her annoyance regarding her twin brother's sudden return with a lady was quite ephemeral and would only last a few breaths.
Because of her twin brother's presence, Xue Jinxu had taken a lighter workload.  She could even afford to take leave of absence now, which was good because she's finding herself more and more inclined to doze off.  She usually got teary-eyed from all the yawning, and even lightheaded from the sleepiness.  Chen Linyun who had always accompanied her nudged her incessantly to take a nap or go home or both.  At least now that her twin brother was finally here, she could take it easy.
With this luxury, she often opted to simply stay at home, read a magazine in her free time, near the glass windows where the sun would reach her and where she could be surrounded with the lush greens of their plants.
It was a quiet life which she learned to love and crave for whenever she needed to step outside for work or with duty as a wife.  Soon after all of her duties, she would return to this indolent life while she waited for her bump to show more of itself.
Mother Chen would often accompany Xue Jinxu at home who simply sat across her or adjacent from her, a few spaces in between.  Sometimes the ladies would chitchat about light topics about lifestyle, health, and wellness, and at other times, the more seasoned woman would give invaluable advice to the younger expectant mom.
They left all the crying and weeping behind them, together with the memory of the one night when the truth Mother Chen would want to bury had come out in the open.  At the bottom of their hearts, the truth still lies, but there was no reason to touch on it every single time the two ladies spend with each other.
They were in good terms, and their relationship had not changed after that discussion.
Same with Chen Linyun.  His relationship with his parents, Chen Lingfang and Jiang Biyu had not changed at all.  If anything, they had grown even more accustomed and grateful towards each other.  This was to Jiang Biyu's relief since one of her greatest fear was just that: Chen Linyun falling off with her.  It would have hurt her deeply.
She was convinced that Chen Linyun was indeed a good son who cares for his parents genuinely, whether they were blood-related or not.
Chen Linyun had even been too considerate with them to notify them about a patient named Han Lan that he happened to see in the hospital and the updates on the efforts to locate her.  Mother Chen had nothing against it if her son wanted to search for his real mother.  After all, the woman was her old friend.
Therefore, Chen Linyun juggled his corporate life while being a devoted husband, a good, filial son to Mother Chen, and a yearning son to a woman named Han Lan who left her more than two decades ago.  
As each of them lived one day at a time, another special event loomed at a near distance.  
In a month or so, Xue Guangxi and Kang Sola would celebrate their eighteenth birthday.  The Xue Family, led by Mother Xue, Zhao Feiyan, had been throwing a huge fuss over it, to the annoyance of Xue Guangxi, the celebrant.
Chen Linyun had asked Kang Sola how she would want to celebrate her birthday, but the girl wanted nothing elaborate.  She simply wanted to spend an intimate dinner with the family.
It wasn't hard of a wish to be granted, Chen Linyun contemplated.

“I better go now. I’ll be fine on my own now.” She grinned again while fixing her hair, tucking it neatly under the cap and turning up the hood to cover half of her face. Her guise was complete. She knew that she would pass as a boy with her current look. So she uncaringly opened the door. With one last smile she thanked him again and left.
Just like that.
Chen Linyun’s peace and quiet has been perturbed.
‘Take responsibility, somehow.’ He said in his mind, to the girl who just left, eyes glimmering.
He gazed darkly at her fading silhouette but did not do anything anyway.

Little did he know this short encounter will leave a mark in him, unable to let go of this woman who disappeared after that night. He was head-over-heels and had vowed to search for her in every part of the earth.

Five years later, they met again, but the woman he once knew wasn't the same as she was before. Just after a few years, she became a domineering leader of her own empire.

With his own charm, his adventure to chase the girl and convince her of his love starts in this story. 

It's a reverse role that the MC is a bit soft and domesticated but smart, while the FC is the strong-willed one - playful and teasing.

Chen Linyun stood up. “One more thing.” He grabbed her hand that was resting on the table. He gently guided it for her to stand up. She followed her lead and stood up, confused.
The next thing she knew, she was enveloped in his warm embrace. “I missed you.”
She blushed. She tried to push him away. 
His left hand was cradling the back of her head while his right hand secured her lower back. She was held tightly in his embrace.
“Just a little longer.”
She was helpless. “I’ll sue you for harassment.”
“You wouldn’t do that.” He finally released her and stared at her blushing face.
 “This time I won’t leave your side.”

Dave reached the Bone Palace in a few minutes. The guards at the entrance immediately recognized him and opened the gate.
One of them still stared at Dave, confused.
Dave understood that the undead's confusion had to be concerning his current equipment. It was probably safe to assume that he had to be the first Doom Knight wearing a Death Knight's armor in the entire Dead Realm.
Dave nodded at the knights and quickly went past them into the courtyard. He was hesitating, worrying about what the King would think of his outer appearance. Last time they spoke, the Undead King had granted him an audience, but his worries seemed unfounded as he heard his voice calling for him for afar.
Dave walked up the spiral marble stairs. After a minute walk, he arrived in the throne room that was at the top of the palace.
Dagla and Samael were in the presence of the king, and they seemed to be in the midst of discussing something important.
Dave coughed as he entered, making his presence known.
The three turned their heads to Dave. Recognition, gratitude, and indifference faced him.
"Childe, you have come to see Us, welcome. Speak your desire," the King commanded, his voice monotonous, bland and far from the intimacy of the one who had recognized Dave as his Childe blessing him with his undead name.
Dave sighed and answered, "Andre has told me that something was going on in the world. Seeing how the Undead are moving, could it be you're preparing to go to war?" Dave questioned.
"Yes, War." The undead king answered cooly.
"The Ash King, I presume?" Dave asked.
"Correct. It is time to repay him for what he has done. However, Our strife with the Ash King turned out to be but a problem we need to solve. The more troublesome reason for Our march are the deities who seek to upset the balance of power."
Dave didn't fully understand  what the king meant, but he highly doubted it would be a good idea to ask the Undead King to elaborate. He didn't look like the person to repeat himself. Thankfully, Dagla noticed Dave's confusion and spoke, "The deities are gathering their troops. And the Demi-Gods want a place among them. According to Gafgar's reports, you have met with one of them already. Duradel Ashkar?" Dagla said.
"Yeah, he was way too strong," Dave sighed.
"There is no shame in being weak when one is young. Your time amongst us can be counted in months, whereas that man has lived for centuries. He used to be a disciple of a dear friend of mine. You have once ventured in his tomb. Unlike Ashkar, his son succeeded in gaining immortality and became a demi-god. Now his quest lies in obtaining the power fragments of lesser gods and imbibe them into his being."
"The Legacy items? The demi-gods are gathering the Legacy items that have not been discovered and those without a successor yet, I suppose," Dave assumed.
"Right. That ring of yours may also be in danger. However, fret not. The deity who guards you will not permit its theft, as it has already been bound to you. You should be safe… for now." Dagla said mysteriously.
"Meaning?" Dave asked.
"The Clash of Gods has begun. I believe you've already partook in the first wave. As long as you remain victorious then there is nothing for you to worry about. Yet should you lose, your grasp of the ring of true Undeath will falter, and you will become susceptible to losing it."
"Oh, I didn't know that. I thought losing will only exclude me from participating." Dave replied.
"It will, but this will be the least of your concerns at the time. Many demi-gods will come for the ring." Dagla informed him.
"We protect our own, Childe. Fight, and bring honor to the Undead. And if the day ever comes where you are bested, fall back to us. No matter half or full god we shall break them if they dare to go after one of Our own." The Undead King reassured him.
"Now, for the reason, we are fighting against the Ash King…" Samael pitched in and returned the conversation to the topic at hand.
"The Ash King is the Son of Asmodeus. The God of Hell. He is basically a Demi-God. His objective has always been to secure more divine fragments for himself. After obtaining enough, he will become a deity comparable to his father. Naturally We do not wish to see that come to fruition."
"Oh, so that's why you want to strike while the iron is still hot," Dave nodded.
It was easy math. The Ash King was strong, but not God-Strong. If he gets his hands on the fragments, he will become a far more dangerous threat to the Legion. Nick's stunt at stirring things up with the Clash of Gods appeared to have some drawbacks. This was one of them.
"Indeed. Our task is to finish off the Ash King before he gains enough power to overturn the balance. Our spies have informed us that he has sent out a few of his demons to recruit people to his cause. You are free to move among the ranks of visitors and are hereby tasked with destroying these Demonlings." The Undead King ordered. Then he waved a hand, throwing a crystal sphere at Dave.

Dave accepted the quest, and the king's lips curved into a slight smile.
"Go, Childe may fortune be with you."
The Undead King waved Dave away and continued his discussion with the two Abyssal Knights.
Dave left the palace and headed to his settlement. Andre had promised him that his weapons would be ready in a day. He didn't want to explore Conquest with low tiered gear. So he headed to revive his undead. Mainly the Tengu.
When Dave arrived at the settlement, a server announcement popped into the sky.
Dave looked up and read the announcement.

The Gods have started doubting their representative champions after watching their defeat!
From now on, all players can participate in the upcoming rounds of the Clash of Gods. If a player without a Legacy successfully defeats a Legacy Holder, the loser will hereby forfeit their Legacy to the victor. 
Players with a Legacy are allowed to refrain from participating in the Clash of Gods if they fear losing it, though they will no longer be able to join the Clash of Gods later.
Due to the expected increase in the numbers of players joining the Clash of Gods, the resting period of a week will be shortened to 3 days in game time.
If a player ends up inheriting a Legacy from another player, all the points the previous holder had accumulated so far will be preserved. The new holder is also able to upgrade the skill to the next higher tier for the same cost.
Victory against players without a Legacy Class will grant 1 point only.

'Oh, this changes a lot,' Dave thought to himself.
Legacy Classes weren't omnipotent. Their wielders were still at risk of losing against a skilled player. There were a lot of players in Conquest, who were good, but hadn't been lucky enough to unearth a Legacy. It wouldn't be too surprising for them to win against the odds. With the new event, Dave immediately thought of a certain player with a mecha suit. He may not have a Legacy but he was still strong enough to contend with the most powerful players of Conquest.
Also, this didn't mean he was the only one with extraordinary ability, and there should be others who had chosen to hide their unique and hard-earned Skills. Something that could give them an edge in the heat of battle.
Dave looked at his ring and thought, 'This will make things very interesting. I guess trying to hide Deadra's Sword and Shield at this point would just be foolish. I'm gonna have to go all out."

Now normally, you'd need around two years at most to complete the first draft of a manuscript. However, there was no such leeway in this world-line.
- The system is losing its powers too quickly. If we miss this week, then I fear that we won't have enough persuasive power to launch the ark.
In the end, Han Su-Yeong decided to start the first wave of transmission after finishing up the second part of the manuscript.
The companions grew excited after hearing about the news of the manuscript's dispatch.
Yu Sang-Ah asked. "How will you transport the file? In a USB?"
"We'll prepare for various contingencies, but... Fundamentally, it needs to be taken in the form of a Fable," replied Han Su-Yeong.
"Who will deliver it, though?"
"Obviously me."
"No can do. If Su-Yeong-ssi leaves, who will look after Dok-Ja-ssi of this place if something happens to him?"
Even if he was only a shell, he was still Kim Dok-Ja. If something strange happened to him and Han Su-Yeong possessing the Bureau's Fable wasn't around, his main body might crumble away.
Yu Sang-Ah continued on. "Let me go. I know the exact coordinates of the world-line where Dok-Ja-ssi has reincarnated."
But that only prompted Jeong Hui-Won to try to dissuade her. "Sang-Ah-ssi, you need to defend this world, you know! Let me go. Give me the coordinates."
"No way! I'll go and meet hyung!"
"I'm ahjussi's Incarnation, so obviously I should go!"
"That's not right. I'm the foremost expert on all things related to the 'Demon King of Salvation', so it should be me....!"
Yi Gil-Yeong, Shin Yu-Seung and even Jang Ha-Yeong joined the fray, turning the inside of the hall into pure chaos. Constellations and Incarnations were arguing with each other, saying they should be the one to make the trip.
Yu Sang-Ah sighed while looking at them. "It's not as easy as you all think. Everyone here is aware of how dangerous it is to cross a world-line, yes?"
"Well, yeah...."
"If the coordinate I traced is correct, then the world-line in question is right at the outer-most edge of the universe."
"Outer-most edge?"
"Meaning, it's a world where 'scenarios' might not even exist."
No one knew what the world Kim Dok-Ja had reincarnated into was like. It could be fundamentally different from their Earth.
"The system's grace could get much weaker when you reach there. Which means, the powers of both skills and Stigmata will naturally weaken, as well. The length of the voyage will be quite an ask, too."
Anna Croft listening to the explanation nodded her head in agreement. She then looked up at the ark currently performing a test flight up in the sky. "As the vessel has been cobbled together as a single-seater, the equipment installed on board isn't the greatest. Especially when you're crossing the Dark Stratum, enduring the storm of aftermath will prove to be a massive challenge. Only the person possessing a very powerful mind is qualified. One mistake, and you may even end up as an 'Outer God', that's why."
The 'Outer God' – that term cast a dark shadow on the expressions of a handful of the companions. They had recalled the sight of 'Hounds Chasing After the Abyss' doggedly pursuing them, that's why.
Unfortunately, Anna Croft wasn't done with her explanation. "And there are far too many world-lines where his soul has scattered to, as well. At the bare minimum, you'll have to cross hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, of world-lines... Are you prepared for that eventuality?"
Hundreds of thousands. Even if you were to cross one world-line per day, the trip might end up lasting for hundreds of years with that estimate. Even if it was for Kim Dok-Ja, could anyone be able to last that lengthy period of time without losing their sanity?
"None of you are capable."
The man who could survive even when receiving the absolute minimum grace of the system.
The man who would not lose himself even when swimming against the boundless torrents of time.
And that's why, the man with the highest odds of succeeding in this mission among the companions.
"I'll be the one to head out."
The ark's passenger had already been decided.

Eventually, the ark's date of departure had arrived.
Han Su-Yeong observed Yu Jung-Hyeok currently getting ready to disembark from some distance away.
"I'm not putting on that thing."
"Conquering King, you must wear it. Don't forget that you're no longer the same as your past self."
Now, this was a spectacle she would've liked to show to Kim Dok-Ja of five years ago. If he heard about how the prophet was trying to ensure the safety of the regressor, just what would be the thoughts entering his mind?
"You're really becoming a bother."
"You might be saying that now, but this will definitely come in handy later on. Being a Transcender does not mean you're completely free from the system's influences. Transcenders are existences validated only through their opposition to the system. If the latter disappears, then the former's powers will, of course, grow progressively weaker in turn."
Yu Jung-Hyeok glared at Anna Croft with disapproving eyes, before putting on the offered equipment one by one.
"This is a cumbersome attire for combat."
"You are not going there to fight, so it'll be fine."
Yu Jung-Hyeok's new bloated appearance after putting on the spacesuit was truly a sight to behold. Han Su-Yeong began teasing him.
"That look really suits you."
"....You're being noisy."
"You should think this over. You really wanna do this?"
Even as the departure time crept ever closer, Han Su-Yeong still didn't feel confident at all.

The voyage about to take place this time was completely different from the regression or jumping between the world-lines. They weren't trying to change the past, nor were they trying to steal the right 'materials' to open the [Final Wall] of the other world-line.
This voyage, in some ways, was much closer to a pilgrimage. One where he was trying to commemorate that one person they had been searching for all this time.
"Hand over the manuscript."
"Your manner of speech hasn't changed even though you stopped being a regressor."
Han Su-Yeong sighed and opened her right hand. The power of a Stigma she had been developing until now was circling around the tip of her hand.

[Stigma, 'Cloud System', is on stand-by.]

This was a similar method to how [The 4th Wall] handed the text files over to Kim Dok-Ja in the past.
The Stigma itself was evolved from her [Predictive Plagiarism] capable of sending obtuse messages across the world-lines.
"It's possible for those possessing this Stigma to share the manuscript. Coming back to Earth several times for the new versions will be too difficult even for you, so I'll just keep sending you the manuscripts through the cloud."
"Are you telling me to learn your unique Stigma? We don't have the time to..."
"Right, we don't have the time. But there is a way to learn it super fast. You don't have a Constellation backer anymore, do you?"
Right away, Yu Jung-Hyeok realised what Han Su-Yeong was saying. "You fool, are you really...."
"You think I'm enjoying the idea myself?"
While furrowing his brows, he accessed his attribute window. When his Stigma [Regression] vanished, his Constellation sponsor had disappeared as well.

Even though they didn't concede an inch and continued to bicker, they still finished signing the [Sponsor Contract]. Both of them knew this was the most optimum method available, that's why.

"Once I make my way back, I'll kill you first and cancel this ridiculous contract."
"Try it if you can."
After their exchange came to an end there, they stared at each other for a little while.
"Don't forget. You must not destroy the other world-line. You just have to spread this story there. So that Kim Dok-Ja of that world will get to read it," said Han Su-Yeong.
"I know."
"Don't die."
"I'll be back soon."
He might never come back. Both of them knew that, but no one deliberately tried to bring that point up. With the exception of one person, that was.
"Oppa." The tearful Yu Mi-Ah held onto Yu Jung-Hyeok's spacesuit. "You're lying! You aren't going to come back! You can't, even if you wanted to!"
"I won't abandon you and die."
As Yu Mi-Ah continued to shed her tears, Han Su-Yeong tightly held her shoulders. Yu Jung-Hyeok slowly lowered himself and matched his little sister's eye line, then spoke in a gentle, loving tone of voice.
"I give you my word. I will definitely return."
As he turned around to leave, he sent Han Su-Yeong a message.
- Look after Mi-Ah for me.
He didn't look behind once and climbed aboard the [Final Ark]. And when Anna Croft gave her signal, the vessel's ignition was turned on.
The companions belatedly hearing about the news soon arrived and watched everything unfold.
The ark slowly rose up to the sky. The voices of the companions wouldn't have been able to enter the vessel's tightly-enclosed cockpit.
Yi Ji-Hye breathlessly running over here looked up at the departing ark.
"Aren't you going to say goodbye?" Han Su-Yeong asked her.
"If I do, I feel like it's going to be the last time I see him."
Despite saying that, Yi Ji-Hye's eyes were brimming full of tears. Other companions also looked up at the ark without saying anything.
Yu Sang-Ah broke the silence first. "Everything we wanted to say are in the novel, anyway. I'm sure Jung-Hyeok-ssi will read it later on."
"What's the point of him reading it? Hyung reading it, that's all that matters."
Yi Gil-Yeong, Shin Yu-Seung, Jeong Hui-Won, Yi Hyeon-Seong, Jang Ha-Yeong, Yu Sang-Ah, Yi Seol-Hwa, Yi Su-Gyeong, Gong Pil-Du. And then, the Constellations, too. Everyone stood there and watched the ark leave.
Shin Yu-Seung asked. "Will Dok-Ja ahjussi really read our story?"
That was uncertain. No one in existence would know that. This mission had high odds of failure, and the odds of Yu Jung-Hyeok coming back home empty-handed were also very high.
And their story could disappear as mere cosmic dust in some distant universe.
The departing Yu Jung-Hyeok should know about that, as well. Even then, he chose to leave. He left, for his own sake. Maybe, also for other companions, too.
"If it's Kim Dok-Ja, he'll read it," replied Han Su-Yeong.
At the very least, the people of this world would be able to carry on with their lives while waiting for his news – waiting for Yu Jung-Hyeok's return.
"He made a promise with me, you see."
The ark's flames lit up as it reached towards the distant galaxy. The companions endlessly looked on at the ark getting further away as if it was an expedition ship sailing towards another world. A story written through their lives was disappearing to a place forever out of their reach.

Yu Jung-Hyeok inputted the coordinates of the world-line Yu Sang-Ah told him. Even the coordinates of the next nearest world-line to it was incredibly far away. Just as she said, that place might not have <Star Stream> there.

[The dimensional acceleration will commence.]

[Portion of necessary energy will be substituted by the Coins.]

Coins amassed in the other world-line were injected as the energy source of the vessel. They had lost their value with the weakening of the system, but still, they used to be the strongest Fable in the world once upon a time. Before long, the planet Earth could no longer be seen.

[Entering the Dark Stratum to escape from the world-line.]

Yu Jung-Hyeok recalled what Yu Sang-Ah said.
- The world-line Dok-Ja-ssi has reincarnated into is located very far away. Meaning, I don't know how long it will take to get there if you leave the world-line through the conventional means.
The world Kim Dok-Ja had reincarnated into existed outside the 'Ways of Survival' – a place that had completely escaped from this world-line's influence.
- More than likely, you'll have to go through the 'doorway' that allows you to leave this world-line.
How long passed by like this? Things resembling bubbles began appearing far ahead of him. These bubbles of various hues expanded and contracted repeatedly within the ominous currents. He even sensed this faint feeling of foreboding, too. Yu Jung-Hyeok knew what caused this feeling.
Tsu-chuchuchu....
The 'vice-king' of the 'Outer Gods', as well as the master of the dimensional doorway between the world-lines. And the existence that opened the path to the 1863rd turn for Kim Dok-Ja once upon a time. Yu Jung-Hyeok unknowingly swallowed back his own saliva. This thing before him possessed more than enough power to make him nervous, the man who managed to clear the scenarios.

A massive eye could be seen within the sea of foams. Yu Jung-Hyeok increased the speed of the ark, not even trying to dodge that eye. In order to get to the world-line at the furthest edge of the universe, he simply had to go through this path.

"Doesn't matter. Step away, or I'll cut you down."
Yu Jung-Hyeok aroused every bit of his Fables and pushed the ark forward. The vice-king didn't try to stop him. However, it only spoke in a pitying, empty-sounding tone of voice.

The moment he collided with the doorway, the view before his eyes completely distorted. He gritted his teeth and fought back against the storm pouncing on him.
A violent storm of sparks began ravaging and devouring his entire body. He endured the urge to scream as horrifying pain akin to his whole body breaking apart took him over.
- There's one last thing I wanted to ask you about.
Han Su-Yeong's voice trickled past inside his disoriented head.
- Why are you going so far to save Kim Dok-Ja? You've lost many comrades by now already.
- Having lost many comrades before doesn't mean you become accustomed to the pain of loss. And also...
Explosions began going off inside the ark. Debris from the broken instruments began floating away in the universe.
- ….I have something I need to ask that fool.
Yet another explosion resounded out, and an object pierced into Yu Jung-Hyeok's torso.
