In short, the problem was what sort of part-time job Wang Ling could get.
To not be able to use Heavenly Dao… It was going to be a bit difficult to earn this money. Otherwise, he could use his Heavenly Hearing to connect to other parallel dimensions and earn tens of thousands of yuan in minutes simply by selling some music rip-offs. But copying music actually wasn't a great plan, since the readers would suspect the author of padding the chapter.
Although Wang Ling couldn't use Heavenly Dao, he could still rely on his physique, and had thought about hawking himself out as someone else's punching bag; after all, no matter how he was beaten up, he couldn't get hurt. The problem, however, was that if the backlash killed the other person, then it would be for nothing! He still vividly remembered when the Shadow Stream assassins had attacked No. 60 High, and how the assassin captain was killed by a backlash.
The grass on the man's grave was probably dozens of meters high already… 
After some serious thinking, Wang Ling started to seek out the opinions of Super Chen and the others in their private group chat.
"A part-time job?" Super Chen replied in the group right away. "Then, Wang Ling, forget about becoming a waiter."
"???" Wang Ling.
"You can't even smile; there's no way you can do that sort of work. Also, you'll probably get complaints. I heard that your pay will be docked if you get a complaint in that sort of place. If you and your stiff face work there, you might have to compensate the boss several hundred yuan every day."

"You be quiet. Given what Wang Ling's like, I know a job that'll be a pretty good fit for him." At that moment, Dopey Guo suddenly came up with an idea.
"What is it?" Little Peanut was curious.
"You can be an extra at the cultivation film studio. It's hard but solid work, and they need student actors. I introduced plenty of the guys from the other classes to it, but none of them lasted long."

In the afternoon, Wang Ling arranged to meet Dopey Guo at Songhai Film and Television Studio. Film studios were actually common nowadays, but Songhai city's film studio triumphed in terms of scale. Songhai was an international hub of cultural exchange, and its film studio was naturally favored by many domestic and international production teams as well as numerous famous directors.
Given its large scale, there were plenty of opportunities.
When cultivators shot films, there already wasn't any need in many cases to rely purely on special effects; when two cultivator actors fought in a scene, they created a lot of the explosions themselves… The point was that it looked a lot more realistic than cheap special effects! There was no need to invest so much into special effects anymore – only a little brush-up and fine-tuning was needed to make the explosions and fights more striking.
Wearing his school uniform, Wang Ling waited for a while next to a stele with the words "Songhai Film and Television Studio" on it, and soon saw Master Dopey Guo waving at him from afar. As for why he had to wear his uniform, Wang Ling still wasn't clear on this point. Since he was about to make some money, however, it wasn't a big deal. Furthermore, Dopey Guo himself was also wearing the school uniform.
"Let's go. I'll bring you in." Dopey Guo took out the actor ID tag which he had prepared in advance and stuck it on his chest; Wang Ling was a little blank when he glanced at this thing.
"It'll be fine. There'll be an audition later after you enter. Just muddle your way through it – I have an uncle who works in the audition department. Once you get the actor ID tag, it'll be very easy to get into the studio. With the tag, you can bring one person in, sort of like a recommendation." As Dopey Guo introduced the studio to Wang Ling, he explained the rules at the same time.
Just as Wang Ling was about to ask why they had to come in their school uniforms, it was Dopey Guo who brought it up first. "It just so happens that my uncle is planning to shoot an online movie with a school theme, and he needs two more people. He wanted me to bring someone over, and I was just about to ask someone else. In the end, you just happened to be looking for a part-time job! Hahaha!"
"School theme?" asked Wang Ling.
"That's right, this film is pretty awesome – it isn't just a school movie, but is also based on our own school! It's a story about Senior Zhuo! Hang on, l'll DM you the script."

Because of a confidentiality agreement, the script couldn't be made public for now, so Dopey Guo couldn't send it in their small group. But since Wang Ling was now part of the studio, Dopey Guo thought that letting him take a look was fine. Thus, he created an exclusive group for him and Wang Ling, and sent him the script inside this two-man group called: Oscar Film Emperor.
Leading Wang Ling over to get an actor ID tag, Dopey Guo explained the script to him.
Wang Ling opened the file which Dopey Guo had sent, and the massive film title at the very top jumped out at him.

Because the film title was: Birth of the Demon Child Odd Zhuo[1].

Wang Ling heard from Dopey Guo that the production team hadn't contacted Odd Zhuo about this matter, but instead directly asked Headmaster Chen for the filming rights. Considering that No. 60 High was going to be upgraded to a key city high school very soon, Headmaster Chen felt that they could seize this opportunity to promote the school, and thus agreed. The most important thing was that it was a famous director who would be directing this film, called Feng Yiwei.

Vincent Ricklin unbelievably went on for about ten minutes on the importance of manhood in mechs. He really believed almost all mechs were gender neutral. As a bona fide man, Vincent hated the thought of mentally castrating himself whenever he piloted a mech.

Naturally, someone immersed in mechs such as Ves had no problem with the lack of gender indications. Mechs were only designed to emulate the human form in order to perform better as a war machine. Adding unnecessary extensions such as hair, skin or gender expressions did not add anything to a mech's battle performance.

Frankly, only an extremely vain pilot who cared more for his looks than his battle record could demand something like this. Ves had the misfortune of making a mech for this kind of person.

"This is an extremely complicated addition. Let me think about it for a day or two. It's not easy to add mass in the front part of the waist."

Actually, Ves wanted to ditch Vincent and go back to Marcella and demand they drop him as a client. Vinnie was only up to his third request and already the envisioned mech turned impractical.

His comm beeped with a priority message.

Ves halted Vincent's rant with a raised palm. "Ah sorry Vincent, I set my comm to notify me if there's something extremely urgent going on. Can I take this call?"

"Sure. I'll just mix another drink." Vinnie said casually as he turned his back and grabbed a couple of random bottles on the shelves.

His mail did not receive a message from Marcella, Melinda or any other acquaintance. Instead, he received a plain text message from an account named The System.

Description
A mech designer never cowers before a challenge. To be a successful designer is to be adventurous in testing new concepts. To complete this mission, you must satisfy your client's wishes and deliver a mech he can cherish as his personal war steed.

Reward: Random attribute candy worth 0.5 attribute points, 3,000 Design Points

The mech designer's eyes bulged when he read through the message. The capricious System proactively gave him another mission. While that might not always be bad due to the generous rewards it always offered, but this time it meant continuing to work with the Ricklin boy.

He really needed the rewards. he'd regret it for the rest of his life if he passed them by in his haste to avoid a troublesome client. That 3,000 DP looked very tasty considering Ves would need to spend months just to accumulate that much.

Ves slowly relaxed his body. He couldn't always run away from his customers no matter how unseemly they behaved. It was better to take on the challenge as best he could and treat it as another training exercise.

He took a deep breath and faced Vincent again. "Did you suggest this idea to any other mech designer?"

"Pfff." Vincent spat out disgruntledly, spilling out a few drops of alcohol in the process. "I got a hold of Patricia Schneider. When I tried to impress her of my genius plan, she straight up shut her comm! Now, she won't even answer me back after a million calls!"

No wonder she rejected Vincent to the point of ignoring him. Besides the obvious, the mere suggestion that a mech designer add some mass to a mech's front waist was an idiotic idea with no possible merit.

Yet Ves started to consider it seriously. In fact, he changed his entire mindset and suppressed his skeptical viewpoint. He had to throw away pretty much all rational thoughts in order to entertain Vincent's outlandish ideas.

"While it's difficult to, ahem, enhance a mech's endowment, it would be easier if it's made of flexible material. Are you amenable to using fluids or a sponge-like material? It will be much easier to realize, and you will have the flexibility to… vary the size while you're piloting your mech."

"Fuck yes! That's a fantastic suggestion! Just don't make it too soft or fragile. The last thing I want to happen is letting my manhood deflate like a balloon."

"Alright, let's settle for these points." Ves hastily said, trying to push this little session to a close before Vincent mentioned something even more outlandish. "After all, you don't want your customized mech to be too burdened with bling."

Vinnie blinked a little as he finished his latest drink. He burped loudly, allowing the raw alcoholic smell to waft over Ves.

"Uhm, whatever you say man. Adding all of what I've mentioned so far is pretty good enough. It'll surely pump up my personal mech up there at the top of the cool chart."

The increasingly drunk playboy started to drift off as he grew increasingly drunk. Ves tried to disengage himself from the conversation several times, only to be pulled back as Vinnie vented his frustrations about what he thought were uncool mechs.

It took well over an hour before Ves hurriedly stepped out of Vincent's mansion. He heard more than enough opinions about how mechs should really look like according to the Ricklin scion. At least he came out of the lengthy exchange with had a very good picture of Vincent's aesthetic tastes.

He wished he could get on the next passenger shuttle back to Cloudy Curtain, but he reconsidered after a moment. If he wanted to complete the System's mission as best as possible, then it was crucial that he frequently consult with his client in order to avoid taking a wrong turn.

Thus, he called up Marcella on his comm and asked her for a secure workplace where he could customize his design in peace.

"Absolute security doesn't exist, you know, but I can tell you that Dorum's MTA branch rents out the most trustworthy design studios. It'll cost you a bit, but I'll call ahead and cover the cost for you as a favor. Just don't let Vincent down. It won't do your reputation any good if you dropped the ball with your second produced mech."

"I know. Despite Vincent's many eccentricities, I'm determined to make it work. Just make sure you charge him enough to make it worthwhile."

"Oh, don't worry about that Ves. As long as he's happy, he'll bleed his credits until he's dry."

They both chuckled at each other. Ves and Marcella were of one mind when it concerned earning as much credits as possible.

Ves rerouted his shuttle to go on a straight path towards the MTA. It only took a couple of minutes to reach a sprawling complex an entire neighborhood wide. Security was extremely stringent here. The shuttle automatically descended and landed on a security pad. Bots led by a human inspector meticulously searched the shuttle and him for any dangers. It was a bit unpleasant, but necessary.

"You're clear to go."

Ves resumed his trip as he looked around. This was his first time visiting the MTA's main branch in the Bright Republic. The tiny outpost in Cloudy Curtain paled in comparison to the might and resources of the Bentheim branch.

A great number of mech stables dotted the area. He imagined the MTA likely possessed the second most numerous mechs of any single power. Only the Republic's Mech Corps had stationed more mechs on this planet.

When he finally reached the reception hall, he hopped out the shuttle and took a constantly curious Lucky with him into the structure. The entire building was built to impress. Built in a refracting glass and crystal style, it seemingly emanated that the MTA was an open place where knowledge was shared freely.

However, some might interpret it more nefariously and suggest that no one could hide anything from their watchful eyes.

In any case, besides the System, Ves had nothing to hide. Though the System still nested deep inside his comm, he wasn't too worried about keeping it a security. No casual security sweep could ever detect it and its remarkable properties.

"Ah, good evening mister Larkinson. I see you are registered in Cloudy Curtain. How can I help?"

"I'm here on business customizing a design for a client. I'd like to rent a secure design studio. I'm sure an associate of mine has already booked one for my use. Can you check it out?"

"Hmmm. Ah, I see. Mrs. Bollinger has just registered a secure suite for you." The secretary swiped her hand, allowing a small green projection to emerge from the reception desk. "Please follow the virtual guide to reach your assigned destination. Have a good evening."

The ball slowly hovered away from the desk and out the hall. Ves followed leisurely after the green ball as it led deeper into the MTA's periphery. The core areas were all closed to outsiders, but the outer areas of the complex was already sufficiently large that it took fifteen minutes of walking before he reached his destination.

He clearly reached a section specialized in providing services to mech designers. He saw plenty of interesting structures such as a library, a financial services consultancy, a junkyard filled with spare parts and more. The structure that held the design studios on the other hand looked fairly plain in comparison.

After another security scan, Ves finally entered the enclosed hallways and entered his assigned studio. The electronically isolated room was fairly spartan in appearance. Besides a seat, a desk and a terminal, it held little else. Ves could only barely spot the high-fidelity projectors in the walls and ceilings that allowed him to look at his designs in utmost detail. These systems were leagues ahead of the cheap consumer projectors in his own workshop.

He turned on the terminal and swiped the design of the Marc Antony into its temporary storage. The professional projectors turned alive. A grand mech came into existence in the middle of the room. The resolution and fidelity of the projection astounded Ves. He even touched it experimentally, and could feel a soft resistance from his fingers. The degree of this simulation exceeded his expectations.

A small smirk appeared on his lips. "The MTA sure is extravagant in everything they do."

Witnessing this small wonder helped Ves adjust his mood. After learning an important lesson from designing the Speed Demon, Ves knew he could not keep dwelling on what he couldn't do.

Designing a mech was a labor of love. If he didn't love it as he built up its design, then it wouldn't be brought to life as a happy mech.

He considered the design process to be akin to raising a child. The so-called child in this case was just a mech, but it was still somewhat capable of inheriting the mental disposition of the designer. If he hated the design process and constantly cursed in frustration, then his mech wouldn't have a good future, just like a child who grew up to be a troublemaker.

"Alright, enough adjusting. Let's get to work."

Ves wanted to address the easiest points first, so he started with the cape. In essence, Ves could finish the job in a minute by just picking a random fabric, dye it red, and affix it onto a mech's shoulders.

Merely, the cape was too fragile to last more than a few minutes of intensive mech piloting. As multi-ton monstrosities, mechs were often subjected to high-powered stresses. If the mech ever stepped on the fabric, it would tear apart as easily as a child ripping a piece of paper into half.

"It's got to be a short cape, with supports added to its length to make sure it doesn't get entangled in the mech's frame."

By stiffening and straightening the cape's lining, he could prevent the fabric from flapping into anything dangerous. While it might make the adornment lose some of its organic liveliness, Ves thought it was a worthwhile sacrifice.

"I need to search for a suitable material."

The terminal had a direct connection to the MTA's internal market. As Ves searched for advanced fabrics, he only received a couple of dozen results. Naturally, none of them were used in making stupid capes for mechs. Instead, they served other purposes such as enhancing a cockpit's upholstery.

He straight up filtered out all the delicate materials from his search results. The list was left with more robust materials, all of which different from each other in many ways. Ves went over the products one by one, but found very little that satisfied his needs.

Though some fabrics were designed to withstand rough use, that only applied to human use. Scale the forces applied to the materials up to a mech and they'd part as easy as a spider web.

"Hm, this is a fruitless search. No matter how strong these advanced fabrics are, they were never designed to handle the stresses from mechs."

His search for a suitable material required a different approach. Instead of getting hooked on the traditional meaning of capes, he should instead consider whether Vincent even cared if his cape was made out of real fabric.

"Hm, a technically illiterate meathead like him won't even be able to tell the difference."

With that in mind, he searched for a different kind of material. It had to somewhat resemble the thinness and malleability of a sheet of fabric, but it should be much more resilient.

The list that the terminal spat out was a lot more extensive. From thin sheets of flexible armor to reinforced padding for delicate cabling, Ves found the selection to be a lot more extensive. He carefully refined his results and combed out the unacceptable choices.

Thicker materials such as flexible armor did not flap at all when a wind blew through them. On the other hand, the thinnest materials could withstand some damage but not too much. It took Ves a bit of time to whittle down the extremes and end up with a small selection of products that possessed the right characteristics.

"Hm, instead of making the choice on my own, I can send it to Vincent and have him take care of the procurement."

After all, the products left on his screen all shared many similarities. Their toughness was derived out of a clever weaving of specialized synthetics and thinly threaded metals. A tough matrix support kept the fabric from getting torn too easily, though they did cut back on the material's fluidity. Nevertheless they met almost all other requirements, so Ves hoped Vincent would find them acceptable.

He composed a short message to Vincent and added the links to the materials for him to see. After sending off that mail, Ves turned to his next task. His face already took on an exasperated expression.

Somehow, he had to turn his mech into a light show.

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

Meanwhile, there was another little boy out there who definitely wasn't feeling safe. At all.
     "Help!" Colin left Katrin another voice message and wondered whether any of his calls or messages were getting out of this box at all, much less reach another Dreamworld.
     He couldn't get through the padding. He'd been scratching and scratching at it trying to claw a small hole in it, something large enough for him to batter his unextended staff against, just to make some sort of sound so people out there would know someone was inside.
     Trying didn't help. He scrabbled until his fingers were sore and he felt sure that if this was the waking world, his fingernails would be been torn off by now. There wasn't so much as a scratch in the padding.
     He tried calling everybody. Katrin first, obviously, then Dad, May, and Scarlet… he tried Satrox, Abby, Rita, Henry, even Lynn, Iylara, Michi, Aoi, and Larissa… he went so far as to try calling Jonah, Alicia and Larry.
     But nobody responded. At all. Jonah's contact actually disappeared from his contact list before the call so much as connected. Alicia's didn't even ring. Larry's rang and rang, but nobody picked up.
     It was like that for literally everybody in his Traveler Watch's phone book. There wasn't a single person left he could call that he hadn't already.
     {If I can't even get Dad, who's probably right here on this Dreamworld… then something about this box must be blocking off my comms.}
     Despair weighed in. Colin leaned his head on the padding and felt strengthless. He closed his eyes.
     {This feeling… it's familiar.} He thought. {I've felt it before, haven't I? Locked away without hope of escape or rescue…}
     A chuckle. Colin wasn't sure if it was from his lost memories or from the present, didn't think of how a chuckle might come through the padding in the present when all his yelling had been to no avail.
     {"You didn't think we'd die for real, did you? Of course we respawned. We may have lost a battle, but we haven't lost the war."}
     There. That voice. Another part of his memories that he had lost. It was coming back.
     {God help me… help…}
     Something about this situation and its familiarity was jogging his memories. Colin felt sure now. He'd been captured like this before. The padding… it felt familiar.
     {"Get yourself out of this one. We've given you the power."}
     Power. What power?
     Colin's eyes snapped open. As if by an instinct he could scarcely remember, his left hand touched the scar on the back of his right wrist. 
     "Word." He said, hardly knowing how he knew what to say.
     And Something responded.
     He felt it happen though he could not see. Something came into being, or perhaps was Warped In from a distance place. It covered his right arm from scar to elbow…
     {The bracer. It's appeared.} Colin felt a growing excitement. {Great! Now… what do I do with it?}
     He thought about it. He thought about it for a long while.
     What {was} he to do with the bracer?
     "Fire." He ordered it, hoping it would shoot something. "Um… cut? Hello? Is there an instruction manual?"
     The bracer didn't respond. It just sat on his arm like a dead weight. Well, it wasn't really heavy or anything, but it wasn't exactly saving the day either.
     {How do I use this thing? I'm sure this was supposed to be that 'power' that could save me…}
     But for the life of him, he couldn't remember.
     He felt at it. The curvatures, the lines… it felt like there were places in it that would open up or something. But there were no switches, no buttons of any sort.
     "Um… activate! Switch on!" Colin tried voice commands again. What was it he'd said to Warp it in? "Word!"
     But there was no further response. The bracer just stayed still on his forearm. 
     "Uh… help?" Colin tried at last.
     The bracer stayed silent.
     Something else, however, sheared a corner off the box.
     Colin blinked at the sudden light streaming in from above. {Somehow, I don't think the Gaians would cut a piece off the box like that. They'd just open it normally…}
     "Colin?" the voice that called his name was a girl's.
     "Katrin? May? Gracie? Kate?!" Colin guessed wildly, unable to place the owner of that voice.
     "Colin!" the voice was heavy with relief. "Hold on! I'll get you out of there!"
     "Wait! Who…?" Colin paused. "Um…"
     "Shut up." She barked, and suddenly Colin recognized it.
     "Alicia?!" Colin gasped. Of all people, she would have been one of the last three he'd expect a rescue from.
     "Colin, can I just {kill} you?" Alicia barked. "Would you respawn somewhere…?"
     "Uh… I don't know!" Colin said.
     "I mean, you wouldn't just be stuck there screaming in pain if I stuck a sword through your chest, right?" 
     Colin gulped. "I really, really don't know! Please don't! That really doesn't sound like a good idea!"
     Where'd she get a sword from, anyway?

     "Is anyone else with you? Dad? Mom?" Colin asked hopefully, then grimaced. {What am I saying? Of course there'd be Jonah and Larry with her…}
     "Just the Prayerman." Alicia said. 
     {The PRAYERMAN?! What the…?!} Colin didn't know what to think. "What's the {Prayerman} doing here?!"
     "I needed help." Alicia said crossly. "Now, shut up and let me cut you out…"
     "Careful!" Colin winced, trying to get as far away from that sliced corner as he could.
     There was a jerk, and a short, two-edged sword slammed through the box's top, just inches over Colin's head. It got stuck halfway, leaving him to stare at the razor-sharp edge that still couldn't quite cut through the whole box and all the padding. "What {is} this thing made of?!"
     "Careful!" Colin said again, trying his best to crouch lower and away from that blade. He covered his face with his bracer, thinking that at the very worst case, it could at least be good for something.
     Alicia hacked at the box repeatedly, missing the first opening at least half the time, but after four successful hits at the same spot, managed at last to clear away the top of the box.
     Colin scrambled out as fast as he could, and looked around for any sign of the Green Men.
     But there was nobody there. They were in Gardens Dreamworld sure enough, with a small picnic area in the distance, a broad lake at the side, and grassy rolling hills all around… but no Green Men. 
     And no Prayerman either. Just Alicia, a short sword in her hand, and a boy with blue eyes and brown hair wearing a winged costume behind her.
     "Who's that?" Colin asked, still glancing around for the cultists. "That's not the Prayerman."
     "Who are you talking about?" Alicia blinked.
     "Your friend there." Colin pointed. "Nice costume, by the way. I didn't know there was an Import Link that could give you wings."
     Alicia jumped, turning to her friend to exchange wide eyed looks. Colin didn't bother them, instead, inspecting his little prison for a time. "Ugh. This looks like a coffin. Thanks, Alicia. I was really getting…"
     What? Scared?
     "…{worried}, there, for a bit." Colin shifted uncomfortably. "Just a little. And your friend too, assuming he helped?"
     Alicia glanced at them both carefully before answering. "He helped. The Prayerman did too; but he's off chasing the Green Men away."
     "Trust a Prayerman to deal with religious goons." Colin grimaced. He held out a hand to Alicia's friend. "Thanks for helping. What's your name?"
     Her friend shook Colin's hand cautiously while Alicia stared. He introduced himself politely. "Hazael."
     "Nice to meet you, Hazel." Colin answered, not quite able to mimic that little twist at the end of the name. He turned back to Alicia. "What happened to Jonah and Larry?"
     "I… sort of left them behind." Alicia trailed off. 
     "How did you find me?" Colin asked next, looking around. "I don't even know where I am."
     "The…" Alicia paused. "Hazel. He showed me."
     Colin turned back to Hazel. "How did…"
     He trailed off. Hazel was gone. 
     "He does that a lot." Alicia offered by way of explanation. "Disappears on me all the time."
     "I… see." Colin didn't see at all, really, but he left it alone. The important thing was… "Let's get out of here before any more Green Men arrive. Where's the nearest Tram?"
     "Blossoming Gardens Mall." Alicia pointed. "Back two hills over that way."
     They ran for it. There were people picnicking around, but nobody commented on one boy and one girl running across the grassy hills together. That sort of thing happened all over this Dreamworld, usually with older kids, even with adults.
     They reached Blossoming Gardens Mall near where the two quarreling boys had finally gotten their dads involved in their argument. 
     "Daddy! He says his daddy is going to beat you up!"
     "{He} says {his} daddy is going to make you cry!"
     The two dads met, both large, well-built men, one tanned, one fair-skinned. They held out a hand each in greeting and shook. "Hello."
     "Hey." The other dad said. "Any idea what this is about?"
     "Probably just some bragging." The first dad mentioned. "You're not really going to start a fight just because your son says so, are you?"
     "My son does what I tell him to do, not the other way around." The other dad mentioned. 
     "I was thinking the same thing." The first dad agreed. "What say we teach them a little lesson on getting along?"
     "Sounds about right." The other dad said.
     The fair-skinned son pouted to his dad. "Aren't you going to make him cry?"
     His dad turned on him just as the other dad turned on his son. The fair dad said, "No. But you know what? If you boys don't behave yourselves and be good from now on, {both} of us are going to make the two of you cry!"
     "UWAAAA!!!" screaming, the two boys ran away together, no longer quarreling in the least.
     Meanwhile, the two dads turned to each other. "Coffee?"
     "Sure."
     But the screaming had already done its damage. The boys ran right past Colin and Alicia, dragging with them the attention of every adult around the mall…
     ...including quite a few Green Men.
     "Oh great." Colin groaned as the Green Men started towards them. "Alicia, you better get out of here while you still can. I'll draw them off."
     "And waste all my effort coming all this way? Forget it." Alicia snorted. "We have to run."
     But when Colin ran, he ran towards the side entrance of Blossoming Gardens Mall. "We can't outrun them! Even if we made the tram, they'd be able to catch up or stop it. We need to lose them first!"
     "In the Mall? But there are more of them in there!" Alicia protested.
     Colin didn't hesitate. He dashed in the side entrance, Alicia trailing after. {Have to… get away…}
     [Must get away.] A voice stirred within and beyond.
     Colin almost tripped. {Who…? What…? Where…?}
     [Get away from… the Gaians…]
     Colin felt it. A young boy running into a mall to get away from the Cult of Gaia…
     {Cody.}
     "What?" Colin stared as a Gate appeared right in front of him. 
     Alicia barely managed a yelp before both of them went tumbling right into it.

     They walked into a hazy world that was not quite… complete. Colin glanced around, and found everything around made of half-formed images, there but not quite {there}, as if made of smoke, or damaged holo-projectors.
     The only things here that seemed fully solid were himself and Alicia.
     "Colin…" Alicia whispered. "Where {are} we…? How did we…? Gates don't just {open} in the middle of nowhere! Things like that don't {happen} in Dreamworlds!"
     But even as she said it, her face went white. She, too, had to remember what their parents said.
     The night Colin disappeared. The night all of this began… when he'd vanished for a few hours, and lost his memories… it had begun like this. With a Gate that appeared out of nowhere, right in front of him, too quickly for him to avoid.
     "Am I going to lose my memories too?" Alicia whispered, frightened.
     "I don't know." Colin answered honestly. "I can't remember anything. But I think… I think the Cult was involved somehow. And where the Cult's involved…"
     "Kids lose their memories." Alicia shivered. "I did too."
     Alicia, Colin remembered, had been nabbed by the Cult quite recently, grabbed from Nakama World along with Jonah and Larry. All three had been returned with gifts and apologies… and no memory of what just happened over the past few hours.
     {And I… even before the Green Men started hunting for us Eight, I already had a few missing hours. A few hours I couldn't remember… after I ran through a Gate just like that one. A Gate that appeared out of nowhere.}
     Colin's thoughts were going round and round in circles. He shook himself to clear it. "Well, there's good news and bad news."
     "What's the bad news?" Alicia got straight to the point.
     "The good news…" Colin said, still trying to cheer her up for some reason. "Is that the Green Men definitely won't be able to find us here. The Gate's shut."
     Alicia turned around and saw it. Once the two of them had run through the Gate, it had vanished behind them.
     "And…?" Alicia waited, not willing to ask the same question twice.
     "Well…" Colin gulped. "I don't know how we got here or how to get back."
     "In short…" Alicia took a deep breath. "We're lost."
     Colin winced. "Actually, it's worse."
     "How could it get worse?" Alicia demanded, fright now turning to anger.
     "Thing is… this place… it doesn't look quite… {finished}." Colin said. "So… well… I don't see any way out."
     Alicia's face went from white to near-transparent. Colin didn't think something like that was even possible, but it seemed that in Dreamworlds, or at least this half-formed Wherever/Whatever, it could happen.
     Colin summarized it for her. "We're stuck."

Trying to come up with ways to fight the instructors made me very hungry. We still had 20 more minutes to go until it was time to eat.
"Heejin, what's on the menu?"
"Enna sage."
"Enna sage?" I repeated.
"Vienna sausages."
"Oh!"
Oh yes! I love Vienna sausages, with ketchup and seasoning piled on top. Break time was soon over and we immediately headed over to the mess hall.
We reached the restaurant. It was dinner time, the best time of the day. Everyone else was gone. Since we were filming a show, we were the last ones to eat. Also, the food was free. We can eat as much as we want, which is why this is my favorite time of the day.
"Hehe."
There were so many Vienna sausages left, so I used the spot for soup to pile more sausages onto my tray. Heejin was worried that I might have took too much, but I was worried that I might have took too little. Anyways, we all sat on our table and began to eat. Everyone was tired, but the food was always amazing.
"This is good," I said, eating one sausage after the other. I've never eaten sausages as good as this before. I'll have to tell Jinwoo to buy some since it's time for me to fill the fridge anyway.
"Good job today, guys," Joo-ran said as she ate. We all answered back.
"You, too!"
"Good job, everyone!"
"Joo-ran, you were amazing today."
That last one was on me, and it made Joo-ran smile.
"I'm not just an old lady, you know. I'm an actress. A veteran female actress at that."
At that, we all smiled not long after. That was true. She was an actress. But, when you look at her, you wouldn't think so. Who said you have to be gorgeous to be an actor? Anyways, after our delicious meal, we showered, got ready for bed, and laid down. The day passed quicker than I thought it would, but it was still annoying. There were still two days. I seriously miss the lovely members of Lovely Girlz.

The bugle sound rang again, signaling another morning. Today was ranger training day, which would take up the entire day. Not to mention, the instructors are out to get me. It's going to be an extremely shitty day.
"Every morning is a surprise."
Seriously, I wasn't going to get used to this. Their bare faces were such a great shock. It's always a surprise to realize just how much makeup does for a person.
"Ugh…my whole body hurts…" Heejin whined next to me, but she wasn't the only one. Everyone was holding a body part and complaining. Then again, they all pretty much got beaten to pulp yesterday. When you get an intense workout after not exercising for a while, it's very hard. Especially so on the hips and on the sides.
"Do you want a massage?"
"Yeah…"
Heejin laid down on her stomach and I began to massage her. Shoulders, back, hips, even the legs. I guess it felt good because I could feel Heejin completely melting into my hands. But wow, she was skinny. She was just all skin and bones at this point.
"Can you get my butt as well?"
"W-what?"
I didn't know what to say. She wanted me to massage her butt? I mean yeah, it does feel good but…what am I going to do? Am I really allowed to massage her there? Of course, I'm physically a woman, so there won't be any issues. But remember that mentally, I'm a man. I have a conscience as well. Unfortunately, my hands were already traveling to her butt. Her butt was like a beacon. It felt so nice in my hands. I began to massage her butt. Well at least, Heejin was enjoying it. 
We took roll call and headed for the training center. The bulldog instructor was already waiting for us.
"Don't you think she's scary?" Hyunjoo asked. 
To be honest, Hyunjoo's natural face was scarier than her.
'Your face is scarier.'
Of course, I didn't say that out loud.
"A little."
"Right?"
"But she's a caring person."
It's true. You'd never know that with how aggressive she can be, but considering all the way she looks after us, I'd say she's pretty caring as well. Anyways, speak of the devil. The instructor just stepped in.
"How was breakfast?" she asked with a smile. Something put her in a good mood this morning. Maybe it was the idea of us suffering lately.
"Good!" 
"That's good. I hope you enjoyed it."
"Yes, ma'am!"
"You guys sound energetic this morning. Did something good happen?"
"No, ma'am!" we all replied energetically, though there was nothing good going on. Why would there be when we're about to go into training?
"Well, you guys are honest. We're now going to pass out the clothes you'll be wearing today. Feel free to get dirty today, it was designed for that."
"….."
None of us knew what to say, but she kept going.
"To be honest, it's better if you can have all the soldiers do it with you so you can get the full load of it, but you will only get a taste of the real thing, so it won't be that hard for you."
That's what she said, but no one believed her. Especially me. Not after what I heard the other instructors say about me yesterday.
"What's wrong with you guys? Don't tell me you're scared?" 
"No, ma'am!"
"Good. There's no reason to be. If you get scared this easily, there's no way you'll be able to survive out there in the real world."
"Yes, ma'am!" Joo-ran answered. 
"Good for you, Officer Jeong! One point for you!"
"Thank you, ma'am!" Joo-ran answered loudly again.
Soon, the tanned instructor showed up and he passed out the uniform. They were clearly low-quality. I could throw these in the garbage and no one would notice at all.
"After you change, bring your helmet and bandoleer, then come to the gymnasium. You have five minutes. Understand?" the bulldog instructor said.
"Yes, ma'am!" we all replied. The instructor soon left.
"These are too big," Heejin complained as she stood next to me. Why does she keep complaining? What is she? The grouchy smurf?
"Let's see."
Hmm, now that I look at it, they are really big. Or perhaps, Heejin was just really skinny.
"You need to gain more weight, Heejin."
"No way! I need to lose more!" 
'Are you crazy?' I asked myself. What fat did a girl who weighed 42kg have to lose? Even now, she looked malnourished.
"You know, thinking like that can lead to eating disorders."
"That's fine."
"You're insane," I said. Out loud.
"Huh?"
"Oh, nothing."
"Did you just insult me?" 
"Of course not," I said, helping her with her bandoleer...but that just made her waist look even smaller. I put the helmet on her. Didn't help to be honest. How could her head be this small? The helmet was so big that it covered her eyes.
"Is this okay?"
"I can't see."
I have to say though, the sight of her helmet hanging over her eyes was pretty adorable.
"Let's try and add more padding."
I took my own helmet to take off the padding on the inside…or at least, I planned to, but then I stopped. To be honest, my head's not that big either. If I take this out, my helmet will definitely be too big for me. I looked over at Joo-ran. Her head was pretty sizeable.
"Hey, Joo-ran."
"Yes?"
"Could we have some of your helmet padding? Look at Heejin."
At my plea, Joo-ran looked at Heejin and the sight of her too-big helmet covering her eyes must have hit Joo-ran hard.
"Oh my…her head is too small. What do we do?"
And with that, Joo-ran began to take out the padded lining out of her own helmet and gave it to Heejin.
"Thank you," Heejin said with a bow as she began to stuff the padding into her own helmet. Then, she put it on again. Now, it was much better...at least, it wasn't covering her eyes. To be honest, it still looked uncomfortable though. And that's when Jae-yoon spoke up.
"What's with that tiny head of yours? Do you even have a brain?"
Heejin's face fell at that. She was still scared of Jae-yoon and didn't like being around her. Jae-yoon did have this tough aura about her after all. Once this episode airs, she's going to get a lot of heat for it. She hasn't done a single good thing on this show since we started filming, especially during the gas chamber portion. Wasn't she the first one to run out? If they don't edit this properly, she's definitely going to end up looking bad.
"Hey, Jae-yoon," I said, looking right at her. Jae-yoon looked back at me. Huh. Yesterday, she could barely look at me in the eyes but today, she seems to have no problem. I guess a good night's sleep was enough for her to forget. 
"What?"
"Give us your lining."
"Why should I?" 
"Your face is too long. Like a horse."
It was true. Jae-yoon had an incredibly long and oval head. So, even without the padded lining, the helmet would sit on her head just fine.
"What did you say?" Jae-yoon suddenly shouted. What was wrong with her? I didn't mean to insult her. She looked like a horse, so I said she looked like one. What's so bad about that? How are other people who look like a horse supposed to feel? She basically just insulted everyone with a long face like hers.
"Just give it to me. Don't you feel bad for Heejin?" I asked, approaching Jae-yoon. She instinctively took a step back. Then, she began to shout.
"I said no! It's uncomfortable without it!"
At that, I stopped. If I continued on at this point and forced Jae-yoon to hand over her padding, then I was no different from her. Of course, that could backfire on me badly. So, I quickly smiled.
"Okay. I guess it can't be helped. Oh, but your helmet is crooked."
I walked up to Jae-yoon to help her fix her helmet. As I did, I leaned in to whisper into her ear, "You should hand it over while I'm talking nicely. Unless...you want me to get ugly."
Jae-yoon stiffened, probably because she could feel the murderous wrath in my voice. Works like a charm every time. I could make an entire world buy from me on the home shopping channel if I wanted to. I'd be incredibly rich if I did that.
"Got it?" I said loudly, giving Jae-yoon a playful punch in the shoulder. With a look of fear, Jae-yoon ripped off her helmet and basically tore out the lining from the inside.
"H-here! Have it!" 
And then, she opened the door and ran out. She must be embarrassed that she's so scared of me. Poor girl.
"Here Heejin." 
I handed her the padded lining that Jae-yoon had (un)willingly gave. Heejin put it inside her helmet. Now, the helmet only came down to her eyebrows.
"How is it?"
"Much better! Thanks, Sian! Thank you, Joo-ran!"
We all headed for the gymnasium.
"If you need to go to the bathroom, go now," Joo-ran said. I went in. As I did, I could hear a couple of the male instructors talking in the men's bathroom. They seemed to be doing some sort of weird riddle. I paused to listen.

"Cheolsoo and Younghee are having a 50 meter race. But when they reached the finish line, their genders are switched. What happened?"
"Gender, huh? Hm…how? I don't get it."
"Idiot. They won some titties. Get it? Titties instead of titles?"
"Oh! Hahahaha."
"It's funny, right? Hahahaha."
 Well, those two are having fun.
"Fucking bastards."
I walked into the women's bathroom, clicking my tongue in disapproval.

When I get to Scar club I'm escorted to the back where a gym and boxing arena is set up.

"Hey, Beat." I call when seeing Beatrix killing a boxing bag.

"Hey, Adira." She says back. "Clothes are already prepared in the changing room."

"Okay." I walk through the door on the side wall which is a small changing room. I look at the duffel bag on the bench and change into the clothes in it. "Do you have a hair band I can borrow?" I ask Beatrix after changing.

"On top of the locker."

"Thanks." I grab one and tie my hair back into a tight French braid. My fringe is pulled back in the braid so that it doesn't block my sight.

"Hey, Adira." Theodore says when walking into the room with Damien behind him. "Are you going to train now?"

"Planning on it." I smile at them while putting a glove on without the padding. I walk up to a boxing bag and punch lightly to feel how it is.

Bam! Bam! Pak!

I punch twice before kicking the boxing bag. I smirk when it tears in two. "Damien, do you wanna fight? The bag ripped." I look down at the inside of the boxing bag.

"Not again!" Damien sulks.

"Oops." I shrug. "Let's go." I change into gloves with lots of padding so that it's not my hand hitting Damien or else he'd be seriously hurt.

Damien also grabs boxing gloves with padding. "Don't hit my head." He says and steps into the boxing ring.

"I know, I know." I nod repeatedly. "You can take the first hit." I offer.

"No thanks. We start at the same time like a normal match." Damien rejects.

"Theodore start the match." Beatrix pants, stopping for a moment before going back into punching the bag.

"Ready. Start!" Theodore yells starting the match.

Damien and I circle each other before going straight for the punches. I'm quicker so I punch first which I choose his shoulder. Damien uppercuts my gut and does a side kick. I punch him on his waist before sending another to his shoulder.

"I didn't know that we were doing kick boxing." I say when stepping back.

"Well we are or else I don't stand any chance of winning." Damien goes for another kick but I block it with my arm.

I kick him in his left waist before sending a high kick to his right shoulder. "I wonder how far I can go." I mumble and do a split leg kick sending Damien flying into the corner. "Use your powers or else I'm beating a child."

"Fine." Damien agrees and he becomes quicker and stronger than before. He also can endure a lot from before.

After three hours Damien and I stop sparring and go for a run.

"Nicholas went back to Spain!" Damien exclaims in disbelieve.

"Yes. Loren might get another seizure so Nicho has to be there." I nod. I slow my speed to run beside Damien and not ahead.

"Wow!" Damien shakes his head. "He said that no one can make him leave Japan yet a simple threat could."

"What can I say, I have a way with words." I chuckle.

"Theodore is going for a supply run in a couple of weeks and should be back before Benjamin arrives. Silver and wolf bane are in the supply. If you want some you can take it."

I smirk. "That would be great." I gasp when thinking of something. "I could film it and send it to the pack!"

"When you say you'd film it you mean us right?" Damien frowns.

"Yup. Can't show my face or else we'd all be in deep sh*t."

We finish our run with a race which I won by a long shot.

"Haha Dami you still can't beat her with your werecat race." Beatrix laughs.

"Oh shut up." Damien snaps.

"it just means that he has to work on it." Theodore comments. He throws a towel at the both of us.

"Thanks." I say and begin wiping the small beads of sweat from my forehead. "Seems like I need to work on my running but nice try Dami. You nearly made me go all out."

"Yes!" Damien exclaims lowly.

"Nearly. Don't forget nearly." I hurriedly say so he doesn't get ahead of himself.

"Next time I'm going to win." Damien declares.

"Sure. But do remember that most of my powers are sealed including some of my speed and strength."

"Meh! I'm still going to win with the little power you have."

I roll my eyes. "You better keep that promise then." I go to a boxing bag and start beating it but not as harsh as before so it still keeps intact.

An hour later Beatrix stops me from punching the boxing bag.

"You have a call." She says holding my phone in her hand.

"Thanks." I say and grab the phone from her. I walk to the changing room while accidently accepting the call without seeing who it is. I change into my former clothes and grab everything before bidding goodbye to trio and leaving. I look at my phone to see that the call has been connected for a minute. "Hello?"

"...."

"Ari!" I say.

"Were you just changing?" The voice asks.

"Yup. Aiden is that you?" I ask.

"Yes." Aiden confirms. "Sorry but uh Aria wants to talk to you but she didn't want to pick up her phone. Anyway sorry."

"No worries. It's my fault for accidently accepting the call. Anyway how's school in America?"

"It's good. It's a lot easier than learning and controlling our powers."

"Are you fitting in? Had any fights yet? Got a crush?"

"I'm not like a human, Adi!" Aiden whines. "I don't get crushes easily and even if I did do you think that you or Ari would let me? The answer is no. Everything else is good I have made one friend so far and haven't had any fights or arguments with anyone."

I pout. "Okay. I believe you. Now are we just going to talk or are you going to pass it on to your sister?"

"I'll pass it on to Ari, you're too hard to talk with."

"Smart*ss!" I curse at him.

"Yeah, yeah but you still love me." Aiden refutes.

"Fallen angel!"

"You-" Aiden yells but the phone gets snatched away from him.

"When I say call her I mean call her and pass it to me and not when I go to the toilet." Aria snaps.

"Sorry." Aiden apologizes. "I'm going to eat Adi's emergency snacks in the lounge room!" He runs off before I can even yell at him.

"That brat!" Aria curses. "Hi Ads."

"Hey Ari. What did you want to call me about?" I ask.

"Just had to warn you to watch your back. Things are getting a bit chaotic everywhere. The Woods brothers packs just all got attacked in less than a week and although there aren't any injuries it's still a massive hit with destroying property." Aria pauses. "I think someone is trying to threaten you."

I momentarily stop walking. "Any guesses?"

"There's too many but we are trying to lessen it to a few but whoever did this has combined many races into one."

My eyes flicker. "Elders."

"We were thinking that too but all of the new elders are being heavily monitored as well as their family even the old elder is being monitored."

I breath in deeply. "Be safe and activate the islands defense."

"On it. Well that was all I wanted to say. The others wanted to also warn you but they were told not to as to not to make you worry but when Lemuel's and Lennox's pack got attacked I just had to tell you."

I nod but she can't see. "Okay. Thank you, Ari. I feel relieved knowing what's happening when I'm not there. Hope you all are safe and say happy birthday to the upcoming or already gone ones. Love you."

"Love you too and I will." Aria says before hanging up but before she hung up I could hear yelling in the background.

[Plans has changed] Astrid says.

'Yup. We have to move it up to the end of this year or beginning of next year'

By this time I have reached our apartment building. I put my phone away and begin to go to our apartment.

Three-four used a piece of white cloth to bandage Tech's arm. The clone had been hit during their last skirmish with the droids, but it was nothing serious.

Their journey up the elevator shaft had been almost uneventful. Two stupid droids had decided to look at them through one of the doors, and Ragout pulled them. The clanckers fell down, almost hitting Dab, who was in the middle of climbing up the cables.

Aside from that, the most dangerous moment that they faced was when Brain slipped, and almost fell, but then General Di stretched his hand, and the clone floated in midair. General Di moved his hand slowly, and the clone who was floating above a thirty meters fall quickly grabbed the cables again. Surely it wasn't a pleasant experience.

In the end, they made it to the upper level of the cargo ship, where a bunch of droids waited after every corner. Dageer didn't know how many droids were on the ship, but judging by the number that they already killed, he expected there were at least a few hundred.

Suddenly, Dageer heard metallic footsteps. Many of them. As one, all the clones turned back, and saw a myriad of clanckers. Unnecessarily, Cell yelled.

"Seppies incoming!"

The Droidekas rolled in first, setting up their annoying shields. B1 and B2 units followed closely behind. Taking cover on the sides of the corridor, Dageer turned to General Di.

"You go first, general. We will hold them."

"Denied. Ragout, you are a better pilot than I am. Go to the command bridge, and get us out of here!"

Dageer nodded. One Jedi would probably be enough to clear the command bridge of any hostiles.

"Tech, go with the general."

"Yes, sir."

Tech was by far the best pilot in Hell Squad, and could be of help when going over all the commands necessary to turn the cargo ship away from it's escort.

The padawan and the clone ran away, and soon Dageer heard sounds of combat. Not worried about them, Dageer turned to his own battle.

He saw at least one hundred droids, packed in the corridor. At least the clones had the advantage that not all the droids could fire at the same time. 

"Well, this is going to be fun."

Cell spoke with excitement in his voice, and all hell broke loose. The Droidekas in the front fired rapidly, forcing the clones to duck behind cover. Red lasers hit everywhere as the clones couldn't even respond without getting shot. 

"Brain! Remember what I said about only using droid poppers? Forget it!"

As if he was waiting for Dageer to say that, his second-in-command pulled out a thermal detonator.

"General! Cover me!"

Up till now, General Di had been deflecting the storm of lasers, and, although some of them hit the droids, most were absorbed by the Droidekas' shields. However, when Brain called for him, the Jedi increased his velocity, his arms becoming blurred as he swung his lightsaber in inhuman speeds.

Brain showed himself just enough to throw the detonator. The deadly metal ball hit the walls, rebounding around until it finally landed amidst the droids. The B1 units looked confusedly at it, as if wondering how did it get there. Then, the thermal detonator exploded.

Seven or eight of the droids became scrap metal. Usually, a single detonator wouldn't kill that many, but the clanckers were so closely packed together that not only the explosion hit them, but some also went down when pieces of their fallen comrades hit them.

The detonation made most of the droids stumble and stop firing for a brief second, except the Droidekas and a few clanckers in the front. Soldiers as experienced as Hell Squad wouldn't let this opportunity slip past them.

"Take care of the destroyers first!"

Dageer took out a thermal detonator, and rolled it on the floor. If he did it too fast, the Droideka's shield would stop it. He, however, had a lot of experience dealing with the rolling droids, and the detonator easily went through the shield, blowing the droid to pieces.

Two Droidekas remained, but then, General Di jumped on the wall, and ran. Literally. As if gravity had no effect on him, the Jedi ran on the wall as if it was the ground. The Droidekas tried to switch its aim to hit him, but the Jedi deflected the first few lasers they shot, and dropped on them.

The powerful shields might as well have been made of paper when the blue lightsaber went through it. The first Droideka flinched and fell went it was stabbed on the head, and then General Di spun, cutting half of the head of the already dead droid, and slicing the second one.

Even Hell Squad was stunned for a moment when seeing this unfold, but they recovered quickly. 

The sound of Cell's knew weapon as almost as loud Metal's blaster. He had modified a DC-15S to be shorter and more powerful, creating a powerful shotgun. At such close range, it cut down two or three droids with each shot.

The battle raged on for a few more minutes, and both sides suffered losses. While Dageer himself was unharmed, Dab had his hand pressed in a scratch in his leg, where a droid fragment had cut through the armor. Brain complained continuously about his damaged helmet, ignoring the fact that if it hadn't diverted the shot, he would be dead.

Even General Di didn't get out unscathed, as his shoulder had a nasty wound where one of the B2 super battle droids hit him with two continuous shots. Usually, the Jedi would have been first priority on Three-four's medical list, but now, the medic was leaning over Metal.

It was only when the battle ended that most of the clones, and General Di, saw that the heavy gunner had been wounded. There was a dark spot on his armor, just under his chest. It was clear that he had been hit hard. Dageer walked over to Three-four, careful not to hinder the clone as he worked, removing the Metal's chest armor and helmet.

"How is he?"

Three-four gently patted Metal's face. Hell Squad as a whole closed their fists, as the clone didn't appear to be breathing. But suddenly Metal opened his eyes, and gasped for air, scaring the clones who were surrounding him.

"Stay still. Your ribs are cracked."

Three-four usually was a calm and quiet clone, but now he spoke with such a commanding tone that even Dageer was impressed. Metal stood quietly, as he was ordered, breathing heavily, his face showing pain each time he exhaled.

"You were lucky. If it wasn't for the blast padding, you would be dead."

Blast padding was a new sort of armor, too expensive to be given to all troopers. As such, only commanders and important units were given it. That is why Hell Squad's armor is thicker than normal. Blast padding was part of the armor, and covered the chest, stomach, and back, offering protection from common lasers from a certain distance. Still, the impact from the lasers could crack or break bones, and even rupture organs.

There were many injuries to cover, and little time. General Di only waited for Metal's condition to stabilize before moving on.

"Three-four, Dageer, carry him. Cell, help Dab. Let's move to the command bridge. We are too exposed here, and I doubt those are all the droids the ship had. Once in the command bridge, we can set up better defenses."

"Yes, general."

As quickly as their injuries permitted, Hell Squad moved along the corridor, leaving behind more than a hundred dead droids, and a corridor that could hardly ever be restored to its original appearance.

Hello guys, hope you are all having a very nice day! There are a couple of things I want to tell you.

Firstly, I got some comments in the last ten or so chapters saying that Hell Squad had been getting injured a lot lately, and although I understand why you say that (well, its actually true), I want you all to know that I never planned on making Dageer or Hell Squad (too) OP, so they can't face a hundred droids and be unharmed (example at hand)

That being said, please understand I am not criticizing those who made the comments or think like that. Its things like this that helps me understand what are your thoughts on the development of the novel.

Secondly and most IMPORTANTly, I have a question for you all. The thing is, I've become a much better writer than I originally was, and my chapters became much longer and the quality much better. That being said, I was thinking of revisiting my old chapters from the start, and rewriting them.

Of course, the story won't change, but I will make them about as long as the newest chapters, and they will much better, be it in writing quality or details. I just want to know your opinions on this, and if you think I should do it, so please leave a comment about this.

Of course (again), this will take some time, so I will have to first leave a lot of chapters done and on a timer, so I can dedicate myself to rewriting those chapters without leaving you without updates.

Anyway, this is all I wanted to say, if you are confused, have a question or a suggestion, not only about this, but about the novel as a whole, don't hesitate to ask.

Clone trooper CT-4063 is a fresh and shiny trooper directly from the clone facilities in Kamino. 
He is also one of the thousands of clones that take part on the first battle of the Clone Wars.
Go with him as he carves his path to the high comand.

I was staring at the man's face like I've just heard the most ridiculous thing in the world.

The man looks at me with confusion, and there's hint of anger flashed in his eyes even for just a second.

"Zen? What are you doing?" He asked.

What the f*ck. I don't even know his name and he just like 'I like you' and then wanted to take advantage from me? Hohoho! Sorry but I'm not going to fell for that trick.

And...

What do you mean 'what are you doing'?! Your whole family is shrimp, you're shrimp you assho**.

I hold back my anger, "I'm sorry but I can't do this. I don't even know you—"

But my sentence got cut off by him. "—Yet" he said, "I know you are cautious of me. And I'm really sorry for picking up a beautiful lady such as yourself so late. I'm really sorry and please don't regard me as stranger. My name is Chen Lou." he said while his eyes getting misty.

Okay, this thing is so awkward.

"Okay? But I think I'm tired, I need to go home now." I said

"I could send you home but... Well the thing is that I don't want to send you home... yet" he smiled dangerously.

With that, my vision got black.

I woke up with sharp pain all over my body. I tried to move but couldn't. So here I am, chained, my mouth got stuffed by handkerchief, badly bruised and scratched.

I looked around me and founded that I'm still in the same room and there's no one here. Only heard sound of shower being turned on.

Someone is on the bathroom. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to kick his ass** after I got out from here. I see my bag on the table counter next to the bed.

I touch my clothes's pocket and find a bobby pin I've always carried with me cause sometimes, my hair got in the way while I was working.

I started to try unlock the lock chain. And lucky me, it was unlocked. Seems like that youtub* channel really useful sometimes.

I took my bag and opened it, finding my portable baton which I covered with padding. Yes, padding. You might find me weird, but I did it for my safety, and I only take it out for emergencies. Me and my genius mind...

I started to look the situation outside from the door eyehole. There's two guards outside. I just hope my skills don't get to rusty, otherwise, I'll be dead for sure. I take off the necklace that I got to the trashcan.

I heard the shower getting turned off. I waited the culprit to come out, holding out my baton sword.

When he comes out the bathroom— gosh! look at that six pack abs!! Wait—! There's no time to drool.

I slashed his back while stuffing his mouth with the my stocking. Take that son of— 

When suddenly the room door burst open.

Fuc*.

The two guards attacked me and lucky me, my karate skills still stick with me and with the baton sword, I successfully kick their asses.

I run and run until I bump into dead end. It's the deck. I'm in the middle of the sea. Just my luck.

"Now, now, we wouldn't want to leave that pretty face of yours got damaged aren't we?" The man who bought me here said.

Wait—! Isn't he dead just now? Did I mistake him for someone else?

"The one you stabbed is client. But I'm quite sastified. That means I have no need to share you with anyone else anymore. But you got me a little disappointed with that escape attempt of yours so now I'm going to teach you a lesson." He said.

I feel someone creep to me from behind, I spun and kick his jaw, "In your faces!!" I said 

Then he told his men to straggle me.

Of course I could hold them back for some moment but my stamina is getting low.

In the end I got straggled by eight people who's badly bruised. I tried to fight back but— my baton sword got to far away, it was on the edge of falling into the sea.

"Still stubborn I see?" He said, amused by my attempts.

"What's your goal? Why are you doing this? Who told you to do this?" I asked.

"Shhh! Don't get to impatient sweet heart! I'm still excited how you will beg for me for more~" he said, holding my chin up.

"Fuc* you" i said.

Then he nodded to eight man. They started to stripped me naked. I tried to struggle but the man on my left kick me on my stomach.

I crunched down, holding my stomach. He licked his lips, he motioned the bodyguard next to him to give him something. It looks like whip.

I'm doomed.

I trust my aunt words and it turns out that the guy is psycho.

How can I be so stupid?

After days torturing me inside out, my mental finally give up. I look at him with my emotionless faces.

"Since you're such a good girl past this few days, I'm going to answer your question!~" he smiled sweetly.
