Climbing inside I stand inside a quite large room, around twenty by twenty feet with a table in its centre, a desk to port and several shelves to starboard. Still resting on the table were a few nautical maps, and strewn around the room were a bunch of curios seemingly thrown off the shelf when it sunk. As I stare at the room I get the distinct feeling those maps should be rotten into oblivion, but they look pristine. Furthermore inspecting the room further I find a few books, all of them strangely untouched by time and sea. 
I gather everything in the room at the central table. A total of seven books, two dozen maps, navigational equipment I don't even know the name of, and a dozen of curios, like a horn or sealed glass with a preserved heart. But the most exciting finding was a dark-silvery harpoon, about the length of my arm and seven barbs. Seems slightly excessive but what do I know.its handle was seemingly fashioned from some kind of leather that has mostly rotten away, but along its entire shaft and on each barb it was ornately carved, resembling waves and wind flowing along its body.
As I play around with it, I find that it seems to move far faster and heavier than it looks. At first, I even almost threw it out the window as it slipped my hands from the unexpected acceleration.Putting the harpoon aside, I started to look through the books. As I open the first book and start to read or try to, I notice only unfamiliar symbols, without any means of deciphering. But after I stared at it for a while, slowly, letter by letter the symbols start to make sense. After some changes of the light, I was able to read the books. At least some of them.
Of the seven I was able to read three. 
The first were some kind of navigational instructions, orienting themselves by searching for some kind of patterns in the great blue. 
The second was some kind of notebook. It almost seemed like somebody used it to record different equations and formulas, but different and as of yet undecipherable.

One day I tried to solve one of the equations in the notebook that was left unfinished. I took a piece of wood from the lower decks and scratched it onto its surface with the harpoon. It turned out to be really difficult, as I got stuck several times and took me a long time. But I made it. I think. 
I have nothing to compare it too. Which made me sad.

Today I decided to head out and explore again. I gave up on the equations since I think I have them solved but can't actually test it.

    Kroen reacted with an 'ah' noise as he was puzzled. He knew that Dudian had chosen Neuss because of his golden hair. But he couldn't understand why he would take on one-fifth of total as medical books. Shouldn't it be better if he got more? 

    He didn't ask because he was aware that Dudian wouldn't answer such a simple question. He had to come up with answer by himself. 

    Kroen brought few medical books that were on the shelf to Dudian. 

    "The splitter's scythe had pierced my body. Although Scar's corpse had blocked the most of the attack but I was wounded. It had cut out a big hole in my waist. The wound was infected when my body with mixed with the corpses of other monsters. So everyone who has had 'ice blood syndrome' in history had one way or other had come in contact with monsters...at least most of them... "

    Initially, Dudian had the magic marks from juranzhi and he was immune to most diseases. So nothing strange had appeared. However after changing it with the magic marks of the splitter his body had changed too. He felt cold when he came back from the giant wall the last time.

    "What's happening with Mellon consortium?" Dudian asked Kroen as he put away the medical book. He was checking medical books day and night to find clues about the disease and ways to solve it. There was no time to read newspapers and think about situation. 

    Kroen replied: "Master, Mellon consortium fell apart after the old patriarch of the Mel family George was sent to prison. The Mel family business also plummetted. The industries under their command have suffered boycott of public and other businesses. They are making losses everyday. Hotels and entertainment centers they own have been smashed by mobs. They wouldn't be able to hold on for long"

    "Tell Old Fulin to seize the opportunity finish them for good. If its dragged for long then the anger of public will quell. We will need to use much more resources to completely defeat Mel family at that point." Dudian commanded.

    Kroen nodded. He knew that Mel family was a famous aristocratic family in the outer wall. It was reduced to ashes at this point.     Dudian felt like he was struck by lightning.

    Kroen saw Dudian's strange reaction as he read the book. Kroen's face changed as he realized that something bad was found by Dudian. He carefully asked: "Master, what has happened?" 

    Dudian was silent for a while: "Nothing. Go out now."

    Kroen was hesitant as he left the room. He stayed by the door. 

    There was a trace of confusion in Dudian's eyes as he stared outside the window.

    The time got late and outside darkened.

That night Heidi went to bed later than usual as Lord Nicholas had introduced her to the library in the mansion which was usually locked. It was a narrow room where the three sides of the wall was covered in a rack of books. The library was dark like the passage they had used before getting in to the library. 

The candles that were on the chandelier and the ones near the walls had melted, drops like structure solidified. Stanley, had helped in lighting the candles up. All the books that was in and out looked old. Older than her. She had later thanked the Lord for bringing her here to which he had done nothing but smile. As she had taken her time to look at all the book titles, her eyes had caught sight of a section which was encased in a glass case. Even though they were older than the others and ragged in appearance, it seemed like they were being treasured. The book titles read Feudal of rivals, Origins, Tyrany of humans and vampires, gardening witch and there were few others which were unrelated to another.

Seeing the dark ink splattered on the book she asked, "You have strange collection of books, milord. There are few with ink spilt on them," she moved forward to look at the Lord.

"That isn't ink," murmured Nicholas.

"What?" Heidi asked, who hadn't caught what he said.

"I think its rather late. You can come by another time to the library. Stanley," he called the butler, "Why don't you see Ms. Curtis to her room."

"Yes, master. Ms. Curtis," the butler asked for her and she wished him a goodnight before she left the room with the butler.

Once the butler had seen the lady to her room, he had returned back to where his master was, who was still in the dark library. His Lord was holding a book and reading it whilst he stood in front of the unlocked glass case.

"Humans are strange, aren't they," his Lord spoke, eyes still stuck on the book he had picked to read.

"Yes, milord," the butler replied promptly.

"They have such strange books that hardly makes any sense. How do you think she would react if I told her the truth about this?" he ran his fingers over the uneven book cover and then handed it to the butler

"Ms. Curtis, is honest with her opinions," the butler added as he bent down a little, to push the book back to where it was kept previously.

"Indeed she is. Knowing her she would probably have something to say," he smiled and then continued, "If she plans to visit the library again, which she will undoubtedly, make sure it is in your presence and lock this up," he said looking at the glass case.

"It has been so long since I last brought a book back here. How long has it been?" Lord Nicholas asked thoughtfully.

"Must be four years, milord," and the Lord hummed in response, "If I may add, the black witch's book is one of a quality."

"That's right. Getting the witch's books are somewhat difficult as they aren't sold in every market," the butler smiled at his master's words. 

Black witches books could never be sold, be it in the human land or the vampire land, their very existence was frowned. Any one trying to sell it in an open market would meet the same end as the black witches. But that didn't mean they were never sold anywhere, the most illegal and unethical objects could be found in the black market. Though his master had strings in the black market, the one in the library wasn't obtained from there. Like many other books that were in the glass case, they were picked from the people's house his master had killed. Few years ago times weren't as peaceful as it was now. Bloodshed in public was common and with the witches causing massacre, his master was usually out on a lookout to find the culprits who were causing disruption. It wasn't ink but spots of blood that was etched on the cover of the books. As deranged it sounded, his master was one of a kind and he was proud to be serving him.

"Milord, is it alright for Mr. Lawson to leave Ms. Curtis here for such a long time? Forgive me, but I haven't seen them spend enough time together."

"That's alright. Warren is a little slow but," Lord Nicholas paused, "Have someone follow him. He has been visiting the council and up to the north very often. Cousin or not, I wouldn't want to take risk."

"Yes, milord. Consider it to be done," Stanley bowed his head, "By the way milord," he pulled out two envelopes from his pocket and handed it to his lord.

"Who is it from?" Nicholas asked while taking them and as he read  the name on one of the envelope a smile formed on his lips, "Is it already that time..."

"You have been invited to the celebration of Hallow which is going to take place in less than three weeks." 

"Hm?" Nicholas saw the next envelope was from his friend Rhys Meyers. After reading the contents inside, he handed back the envelope to the butler and left the dark library.

The next day, Heidi sat in the carriage on her way to the Meyers mansion. Mr. Meyers had requested for her attendance at the mansion to accompany his wife only if she would like to. Meeting Mrs. Meyers at the mansion, the lady looked the same as she had seen her before. 

Her black straight hair was tied in a white ribbon. Heidi and Lettice went out to town as the lady had wished to go out shopping.

"I am sorry for suddenly requesting you to come. I am sorry for the inconvenience," Lady Lettice apologized when they reached the town Heidi had previously visited with Lord Nicholas and Stanley.

"Please don't apologize. I am glad that you asked for my company and I wasn't doing anything except for studying with my educator," Heidi replied with a smile on her face.

"I see," she smiled back, her face relaxed than the time  she had seen during her birthday, "How has your stay been in the Rune mansion?" 

"It has been pleasant," Heidi replied as they walked on the sides of the road, "But sometimes it does get dull. Sitting in the mansion and doing nothing. How do you spend your time Lady Lettice?"

Lady Lettice laughed softly when saw Heidi's worried look, "I understand what you mean. In the beginning, I was finding it hard myself. To have nothing to do and spend time inside the mansion but you get used to it. Used to living the elite vampire life. You can call me Lettice. We are from the same background. I don't think we need to use titles."

"Then please call me Heidi," Heidi shared a friendly smile.

[Year 1847]

When the Lord took a step forward, she took a step back. Taking a gulp she said, "You know, what you're doing can be considered as terrorizing."

"Well, I call it persuading."

"I believe you aren't using the right wordbook, milord."

"You didn't answer my question," the Lord was too persistent, thought Heidi to herself. It didn't look like he would let it go.

The year 1847

Heidi was an adopted child, where one of the Duke had been generous enough to take her in.  A girl, who when grew up had no idea that she would be the political bridge between the two empires. A marriage with the East Lord's relative.

Lord Nicholas with his gentle appearance and behaviour made him the White King of the Empire. A man who was the kindest to the souls around him, with only a few who knew what laid beneath that beautiful mask. What happens when a girl is responsible for bringing out the worst and the best out of him? Especially when it's his cousin's fiancee.

seeing the big pile of books a strange feeling appear in naruto's heart, it was like something is calling him. 

he went there and start searching to find what it was. there were 100 of shelves in the left side section, naruto search them and while searching he came across many incomplete jutsus and some of them even shocked him.

there was a taijutsu similar to Hachiman tenkou (the eight inner gates) by the name 'inner chakra impulse'. 

naruto was surprised to see this since there was no mention of this jutsu in original series, he picked up the book and open I order to read the description. 

'INNER CHAKRA IMPULSE'

inner chakra impulse is a technique in which user need give impulses to his chakra by injecting his soul energy inside his chakra source.

soul energy what in the hell is that, this is the first time he has ever heard about it. 

naruto: " system do you have any information regarding soul energy"

[yes... soul energy is the most basic fundamental energy possessed by a human soul, this is the only energy which remains same in all realms whether it is immortal realm or modern world. it is sealed inside a human soul in a dormant condition and can be unlocked by soul enhancement technique. the technique host is holding now is partially a soul enhancement technique and partially a taijutsu technique, the one who created this technique must have been a who was well versed in issues related to the soul.]

naruto: " soul energy huh never thought there are occupations which were not mentioned in the original story"

naruto: " system can I practice this technique"

[checking the compatibility of technique with host's soul and body,....  host can practice this technique only to the second impulse]

naruto: " system can you complete this technique "

[system can fix it but right now system does not have sufficient info.  regarding taijutsu's and soul arts, so first host needs to help system in collecting all these info. ]

naruto: " this is feasible "

naruto knew that he has found a treasure.

he kept looking and surprisingly, he found another awesome technique by the name 'wind style: god of war'. naruto open and read, 

WIND STYLE: GOD OF WAR

this is a highly complicated chakra control technique, in this technique the user must have master control over his chakra, this art needs the user to transform his chakra into weapons by concentration and rotation. 

naruto: " system what about this one"

[analyzing....  analyzation complete.... incomplete s rank jutsu ...consume too much chakra, system does not have sufficient data to perfect this technique, asking the host to first collect data regarding wind nature of chakra]

right now naruto's eyes were shining with a strange light he kept on looking but did not find anymore remarkable jutsus but he did find some notes related to taijutsu.

after going through all the books and scrolls. naruto did not find anything else but there was strange feeling inside his heart that he missed something, so in order to confirm his doubts he recheck all the books but still did not find anything exceptional, seeing this he put his doubts at the back of his head and move toward the side which contain books related to world history.
