The witches noticed that, so they tied them all up and they first killed all the grounders, the people that were still alive and were on Marlos’ planet captured by the witches were: Yassin, Amy, Tom, Rex, Ellen, Josh, Maria, Rick, Bassel, Mike, Liam, Jordan, Kella, Kallee, Eyad, Martha and Taline, but Taline wasn’t captured because of the cloaking spell that Maria did, the witches threatened to kill the mutants, then Oliver came out of a room, they were all surprised that Oliver was still alive as they saw him getting shot in the head. The leader of the witches was the strongest witch and her name was Fiona, Yassin asked Fiona how they were still alive as all the witches were supposed to be dead and how Oliver was still alive and what did they want from Taline, Fiona said: “I think you all heard the story that Ava told you, the story that Ava’s father told her, the story that Ava’s mother told Ava’s father (Eyad), the wrong story. Thousands of years ago, witches created mutants, mutants started killing witches, but that wasn’t enough for them, they tortured all the witches over years, until Maria’s mother, our old leader decided to end that by making a planet and putting a cloaking spell on it, Maria’s mother left Maria because she was half mutant and half a witch, so she was scared for her that we would harm her, but when Maria’s mother and Ava’s mother were on the witches planet, they decided to end all of that and kill us all because we wanted to capture Taline and use her against all the mutants in the world to kill them all, but Ava’s mom and Maria’s mom weren’t more powerful than me so I killed them, and I became the new leader. Oliver is alive because of a spell that I did that brings the dead back to live”. Amy asked: “Why isn’t he on our side? Why is he helping you? And why did you bring him back?” Fiona answered: “When I get a person back to life, they become sired to me and I brought him back to show you that I could bring your dead friends back to life if you helped me getting Taline. POSITIVE REVIEW :

Tl;dr - Reincarnated mechanical engineer brings about industrial revolution in the Medieval Era (imagine going on an invention spree in the 14th century introducing steam engines, Newton's laws, Einstein's theories etc. Become the greatest scientist in the history and rule over the world), with the help of witches that are falsely called the devils incarnate by the Church. The world building is great, the translator is amazing and this story is a must read!!

The first thing I will say is that the title doesn't justify the story. If I was to sum up the story till now, it would be 'Engineer in Another World'. An interesting theory XD
The MC is level headed, smart, and he thinks like a student of science, and not like some stubborn and foolish idiot. He is nither arrogant nor a coward.
This is a story of an engineer being reincarnated in another universe, as a good-for-nothing prince and will fight against his siblings for the throne. And he uses science and stuff from his previous life in this world, which is still in the era of kingdoms using swords and crossbows, and becomes the overlord of the world.
Imagine you being reincarnated in 1500s. I will invent electricity, machines and everything I've learnt, and name then all after me. I will become the God of the masses and get worshipped by the whole world XD. Our MC is not that arrogant. He is humble and respects everyone, unlike a lot of novels. And there are witches in the story. From the sypnosis we get that the witches are hated by the whole world and our MC fights for them. I won't spoil it for you guys.
From the story so far, I think there will be lots of scheming, planning, plotting and conning others in the future chapters. Till now there has been no mention of things like cultivation levels or anything such. I don't think it will be a story where the MC is nuts about cultivation and becoming an immortal, which is different from a lot of xianxia novels, and I think this is one of the really good points about this story. The author is doing a good job at building the world, and I would recommend this novel very much

CRITICAL REVIEW :

Release that Witch is a surprising read in a sea of webnovels. It isn't perfect, and I'll elaborate on that, but it's above the garbage often seen. There won't be plot spoilers in this review except the obvious "Yeah he helps witches" so continue with that in mind. Enjoy my mini-novel review.
Unlike most CN webnovels, RtW distances itself from Wuxia and enters the magic flintlock genre. With a setting reminiscent of medieval times, you've got a cast of knights and nobles and peasants. This isn't a new concept. In fact, it's old and worn. But it's how it's done despite the tropes, and for the most part, the author managed well. The twist is that the protagonist comes from our modern day, and this twist carries the story in both obvious ways and more subtle ones.
Had the first chapter never mentioned the origins of the protagonist, it would've been hard to realize at a glance. The name of this regular guy is soon forgotten as he takes upon the role of Roland, the fourth prince, and you will probably only know him as such. The previous Roland was a fool, as often these stories make them be, so when our modern day hero takes over, it becomes a familiar journey of climbing to kingship. He no slave or farm boy, but his status as nobility begins low relative to his siblings, and gives us, the reader, something to cheer for.
This brings up the advantages of a modern day man in a period lacking knowledge. But as you can imagine by the title, what keeps this in the fantasy genre is the inclusion of witches, giving Roland cards to play on his path to glory, literally and figuratively.
Witches are ostracized as devils and killed. Their powers are clearly seen and isn't mystical voodoo no one believes. And our protagonist becomes their friend. Whether it's because he's interested in a scientific standpoint or he's a friendly guy isn't important. What's important is the role witches play in the grand scheme of things.
Roland's Border Town becomes a bastion for them. His kindness and acceptance toward witches attracts a flock who aid and make possible things that would otherwise be impossible. Like many novels in epic fantasy, it becomes too much, and details become lost. Because of the story's scope, beside a select few witches, many of them take a backseat and are reduced to tools to help Roland grow his empire. This is a shame because the cast of said witches is fun and varied. Unfortunately you'll only familiarize yourself with certain ones, and the rest are non-existent until the protagonist has use of their power.
Those powers have an important role, and it's here that magic and technology mix. Roland's ability to rise up depends on magic, boosting his ability to quickly reach the industrial age of guns and manufacturing. You'd think one might overwhelm the other, but balance is kept in check. There are clear advantages to witches, yet they're no army. By helping witches, he's given the chance to command an army unlike any seen before, and with his knowledge, the overwhelming advantages he has crushes the opposition and gives Roland a legitimate claim to the throne.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, he should know things others do not. On the other hand, he knows too much. Roland was a mechanical engineer before, but apparently he knows chemistry, biology, the education system, war tactics, shipbuilding, and who knows what else. Basic knowledge is fine. What this guy has is unacceptable, however.
"Hey, I'm going to write a chemistry textbook telling you every formula in the world. By the way I'm going to jot down a 500 page manual on how2biology. And I'm going to rewrite an entire play or three, by memory, perfectly. But wait there's more! I'll add in a physics course for free. Did I mention I'm a master plumber, farmer, and blacksmith? Hell, have some music theory too, because I'm a mechanical engineer who took some GE classes and we can all do that while governing an entire city as a full-time job."
Like, what? Some defend this, but there's literally nobody who can do this. Stop trying to "logic" it. Can anyone recite every country in the world by heart, right now, and every state and city and province? Can they list the periodic table in its entirety 20 years after they've long forgotten their high school chemistry class? Do they have seven phDs and a photographic memory? Literally autism. And if you don't want to admit that, then Roland's a Mary Sue, period. Frankly, being overpowered is fine. But let's call this story what it is and not pretend it's anything otherwise. Release that Witch is a power fantasy for teenage and young adult men.
Only in foreign webnovels do protagonists get a pass for being overpowered, which is called bad writing anywhere else. Even Superman has his Kryponite, whether it's a rock or vulnerable friends he must care for. Millions are enthralled by something like Game of Thrones because the characters are human. They are flawed and morally gray men and women who may not survive to the end. Protagonist-chan? He might as well be an alien, because nobody is perfect.
And this is an issue because I've never been concerned for Roland's well-being. He's perfect, and thus boring. While he's no fighter, he doesn't need to be. He is in no danger because he's not one step ahead but twenty steps. I'm quite certain that a witch introduced hundreds of chapters ago, who has never done a damned thing, will suddenly become relevant at a critical point. Then he's going to say, "Just as planned." But because the author didn't give our hypothetical witch any show time, it'll look like our prince pulled it out of his behind. Rest assured, Roland has his bases covered with a plethora of beautiful women surrounding him. He doesn't need to worry about them, either, since they're also ridiculous.
What's also boring is how dull his knowledge can be. It drags the story down when the author harps on about molecules. Imagine a football fan yapping in your ears about his favorite team while the season is airing. Now imagine you not giving a shit, since you'd rather watch Rick and Morty or Futurama or something. This is what it's like when the author writes about details no one cares about. Your eyes glaze over and you skip entire paragraphs as terms you've never heard of are talked about. Please stop. Go back to the story.
Speaking of story, like many in epic fantasy, there are multiple factions with intrigue and espionage in the background. There's a cabal of witches, the church, and the princes and princesses vying for control. The writer touches upon all of them in a third person omniscient point of view, meaning you see what happens at a bird's eye distance and hear the thoughts of all characters. The reader is in the know of things our protagonist is not, and of events he doesn't witness. Possibly good, probably bad. Although we learn more about the world than Roland does, we don't get to experience the surprises in store for him in the future because we'll be in the loop. I personally lean toward this being a negative because this just becomes info dumping and telling rather than showing. Where's the mystery if the author introduces a new character, then immediately tells us his secrets? His life story, his children's stories, and the name of the gopher in his front yard--there goes whatever interest I have in said person.
Another negative is the grammar. For a translated novel, it's okay. But being readable doesn't mean it's correct, and if you're someone who understands basic grammar rules, little things will bother you. Punctuation and dialogue tags, for example, or the incessant use of passive voice. The editors could do a better job. For the last time, you can smile dialogue. When will they learn?
Now I'm going to talk about what this story is and isn't. Despite the roster of witches, all of whom are women, this is not a harem. It has the potential, but it isn't and hopefully won't be. This story is also small on romance. Because of the cast size, Roland doesn't have time to dote upon characters you may or may not ship together. It's present and there, but it's a subplot. Though some may praise the romance, I can't, because I don't see it becoming more than superficial. There's maybe one chapter focusing purely on relationships as of the 200s. How this is good romance is beyond me. RtW is and will always be about Townbuilding 101 and the politics that come with it.
If the main course of the novel is reaching a modern day quality of life, then witches and magic and such are like the side dish to add flavor to the meal. If one witch is salt and another is pepper, you'll get a lot of salt and pepper. But again, because of the story's scope, you're not going to get much paprika or garlic or chives. They're there, but only as one-dimensional additions. Let's not mention the named knight or three. Unfortunately, you may forget who half the cast is. But if you love the few characters that get the screentime of an A-list actor, you're in for a wild ride.
Anyhow, if I had to recommend a Chinese webnovel to a reader who doesn't like Chinese webnovels, this story would be my first suggestion. At the same time, it's so far away from the typical CN story that it almost doesn't qualify as one, yet technically it is. There's no saving face or retarded "can't see Mount Tai" or wow, he can't decide whether he should laugh or cry 100x. It's not a story of self-improvement by getting lucky finding an artifact, then senseless slaughter. It's a standard western epic fantasy that also suffers from CN webnovel tropes, and whether that's what you want or not, that's what you'll get. It's unique, but not unique. It's done okay, but certainly not groundbreaking.
I cannot get over the detachment I feel for most characters. I like the characters placed in the backseat, never to be heard from again. I like the subplots that'll never be brought up in the future. Instead I read pointless specifics on topics I couldn't give a rat's ass about. Instead I learn Roland paves some roads, and maybe adds a few more witches I'll forget exists. Worst, I'll never be worried about him because I know the fourth prince will pull through unscathed. Why, then, should I or any reader care what happens? The stakes aren't high. They're as low as the dirt under our feet. And when the hero doesn't struggle to achieve his goals, then he didn't earn those victories. Roland is given them on a silver platter, and suddenly, everything he accomplishes is diminished. Zero tension, because every battle is already won.
That doesn't mean I didn't like it. It's still enjoyable. But the fun factor degrades. So I have to ask myself why I should read this pseudo western fantasy. Why should I read RtW when I can read Patrick Rothfuss? Why should I read RtW when I can read Brandon Sanderson, or George R.R. Martin? These known fantasy authors have been picked up by publishers because their work are proven sellers, and have years of practice under their belt in writing. Release that Witch competes in the same genre, but doesn't have the same polish. So for a webnovel it's above average, but compared to published novels vetted by professionals, it has glaring flaws. By virtue of setting alone comes its own pros and cons.
Lastly, I want to say that the story really drags when the releases slow down. Because it reads differently, the pace is different and does not fit the norm of CN webnovels. If you binge read it, the experience is better, but the translators are not keeping up as of late, and my interest in the story suddenly tanked. And once I let the story sit in my mind for a while, I realized it's really as good as people say it is.
Tl;dr, Release that Witch is pretty good for what it is. Release that Witch is also pretty bad for what it pretends to be.

I still need to do a better synopsis, but essentially, this story is about a vampire summoned in another world with his family.

This is a "satire" with isekai stories, and it will have our MC evil (or anti-hero) contrasting directly with summoned heroes.

My English is not good, and I am still learning not only the language but also to write a story, so expect something very amateur and misspelling mistakes in this story. I am developing this as my side project, and it is still pretty "raw." Then again, don't read expecting something incredible. I have edited and re-read these first chapters several times, but there are certainly still mistakes that I hope to correct over time. If any of you notice these mistakes, please comment on this, and I will correct them as soon as possible.

As I already explained that my English is not good, I will delete reviews that only complain about my grammar. If you are willing to read something that you know will not have perfect grammar and still complain about it, you are just toxic.

My intention in posting these chapters still "raw" is to get constructive criticism not only to make this a good read but also to know if anyone would be interested in reading something like this.

Ace fixed his eyes on the endless ocean outside the hovercraft. Surrounded by nothing but the open sea again, he sighed. It reminded him of Grandpa and Grandma and their vacations. What would happen to Grandpa's beloved pirate ship now? What had Grandpa whispered in Damion's ear? Did the witches get him? He didn't want to think about it.
He laid back in his seat and let his thoughts drift elsewhere.
The clouds cleared as he looked through the glass roof of the cockpit. Stars dotted the sky by the billions. They clustered together in an explosion of lime green, violet, blue, and yellow. Swirling, colliding, and illuminating the dark blanket over the sky.
"Nothing compares to the beauty of the open sea under a cloudless night," Rio said.
"I'll say," Ace whispered, head tilted, and eyes fixed above. He glanced behind at his family again to find them still asleep.
"Don't worry," Rio said, "the witches just snatched their memory from them. They will wake by sunrise."
Ace's head jerked to Rio. "What? How much of their memory?"
"Just the past few hours. When we arrived and fired our weapons, the witches cast a spell on your family out of panic. Their magic was neutralized before the curse could have spread beyond memory loss. But, whenever a spell is cast, with some exceptions, memory is the first to go. It might be the only thing working to our advantage right now. Keeping the witches a secret from your family is important to our survival. It's imperative we don't tell them what happened when they wake. Good thing for us witches want to be forgotten."
Ace tilted his head. "Why is that? I was." Ace shivered as he finished his thought, ".terrified when I had to face them. Don't they want that?"
The autopilot button glowed blue as Rio pushed it with his first finger. His seat rotated to face Ace. "Fear is only used after a witch has been caught and her disguise breaks free. Once they reveal themselves, they rely on fear and magic to control the situation."
"About that. What's with the weird little light balls that dragged Julie through the forest? In stories, witches turned kids to pigs and chickens and things like that."
"Those are stories, kid," the drake said with a hint of anger in his tone. He took a breath and calmed himself before he spoke again. "All witches don't have the same magic. I'm not exactly sure how all of it works, but some use their magic in different ways. There've been rumors of witches making water and trees and the wind obey their spells. I've never seen it though."
"Well, that sounds pretty intimidating. Why not use that? Seems like they could gain an awful lot of control with fear and magic."
Rio shook his head. "Deception."
Ace tilted his head with question.
"A witch's most powerful tool isn't magic, it's deception," Rio continued. "Witches and parcels have manipulated their way into power in Yutara for the past few millennia. And they've been doing it right under our noses." The wind howled as it grazed the slick surface of the hovercraft, and a familiar chill crawled up Ace's spine.
"Right. Parcel . . . What's that?"
"Parcels are male witches."
"If parcels are male witches, what does that make a warlock?" 
The drake's face turned cold and dark. "What do you know about warlocks?" 
Ace shrugged. "Just stories." 
"Warlocks are who witches and parcels report to. They started out as parcels and worked their way into becoming the most powerful sorcerers. They're so skilled with deception, one has never been seen before. We only know about them because witches speak of them often. They call them the council of warlocks." Rio leaned close and his voice darkened. "Witches say they have magic powerful enough to call fire, bring down buildings, and even cause earthquakes and storms. They say they can't be found or seen because they work in the shadows."
Ace's skin crawled. He shuddered and said, "So, you've never caught a warlock?"
The drake shook his head. "Never even seen one."
"What about a parcel?"
"I never have. Most hunters haven't, but it's happened only a few times before. Parcels are more difficult to catch than a witch. Most of the time it's just a witch controlling someone else's body, tricking a hunter into thinking they have the parcel, so the real parcel can get away."
Ace nodded timidly. He folded his arms and his brow wrinkled as a million thoughts buzzed in his head like a furious bee. "A witch captured Julie before you and your friends arrived. She told me I should give up and walk away, and if I 'defy the council,' they will never stop hunting me. Is that what she was talking about? Are there warlocks after me?"
Rio's webbed ears pinned back. He rattled his tongue a few times and leaned close, elbow on his knee, chin in his hand. "I doubt a warlock is after you."
"Why's that?"
"Because, kid, they don't want to be seen. Parcels take witches as their slaves and have them do their dirty work. By the time they're warlocks, all witches and parcels work for them. They stay in the shadows and rule by the hands of their slaves."
Ace's ears perked. Hearing Rio speak of shadows reminded him of a line in Grandpa's story. The inscription above the Emerson Stone when Oliver found it.
Eldest will the keeper be

Did the stone have something to do with finding this council? He couldn't remember the rest of it. How important was the story Grandpa told him before he disappeared? His brain racked his skull as he recalled bits and pieces of the story. He had to remember the poem. He had to remember the story somehow! 
He faced Rio. "But don't the Indies want to destroy the council then? If so, then, eventually we will have to find these warlocks and destroy them, right?"
Rio nodded. "Well, that would be great. But it's impossible."
"Why?"
"Nobody knows where or how in Eathelyn Summers you find them, kid. It's hopeless. They're far too powerful. The Indies exist to protect the peoples of Yutara from the evils of the council. But destroying it will never happen," Rio said sharply. Ace sat back in his chair, not wanting to hear the drake any further. He was dissatisfied with his response. Grandpa wouldn't have settled. If there were such a council, Grandpa would want it gone. It must have had something to do with the stone. Did destroying the seventh realm mean destroying the council? He needed time alone to sit down, consider the story, and look for the clues he needed to accomplish the task given to him by Grandpa Marty. 
After the questions bothered him long enough, he couldn't resist the urge to speak again. "One more question." The drake nodded and rattled his tongue. "Why did the witches attack my family, but not me? Why didn't the witch just curse me and force me to give up? Instead she held Julie hostage and threatened me." Of course, he knew the Emerson Stone kept him protected. He just wanted to make sure Rio didn't know. 
The drake sighed. "Don't know. I was as shocked as you when I arrived, but the witches hadn't done anything to you. It does bring some things to light though." 
"Like what?" Ace leaned closer in. 
"Why your grandfather chose you. He had that same gift with witches." 
"What do you mean?"
"Marty, your grandfather. Witches never tried to cast spells on him. He had the most unique ability to pick out a witch and capture them without the slightest chance of one resorting to magic. He faced countless of them, but they never so much as tried to curse or harm him."
Ace's eyes widened, his mouth agape. Eldest will the keeper be . . . 
The stone protected him from the witches' power. But only the descendants of the keeper. The one who possessed the stone. It all came together. When Grandpa gave the stone away, he gave away his protection. But not just his protection. All his children and grandchildren. Cameron, Julie, Tamara, and all their parents. Of all the Halders left in the world, to Ace belonged the only protection from the evil after them. Which begged a deeper, more pressing question. One he feared he'd never find an answer for: Why did Grandpa choose him? Had he chosen his father, Colton Halder, all Grandpa's descendants would still be protected! 
"I.I'm." Ace stuttered. "I imagine this means the witches wanted my grandfather dead."
Rio nodded. "Yes. Your grandfather founded the Indies. His extraordinary abilities began to expose the deception of witches in countries across Yutara. Many civilians were persuaded by Grandpa, and eventually joined him. Witch after witch, your grandfather was a machine. He started a revolution. They became infuriated, not understanding why your grandfather was immune to their magic. They have wanted nothing more than to see him gone."
Ace's heart fell. The peaceful feeling of being safe fled once again. "And n.now that Grandpa is gone?"
Rio lifted his head, staring the boy directly in the eye. "I don't know. Honestly, when I first received the letter, I wasn't sure what to think. I still don't, actually." Rio scratched his head, sighed, and leaned back in his chair. "Many Yutarians thought your grandfather would discover this council the witches and parcels speak of. They thought he would bring an end to the evils that have taken hold of Yutara for so long. Now that he's gone, we realize that was a foolish dream. The council's hold is simply too strong in Yutara. Our only hope now is to fend off as many witches as we can and keep the Indies movement alive. But without Marty . . ." Rio paused and gave Ace a look of uncertainty. Ace returned the same look. Rio sighed, and he whispered hoarsely, "Let's just hope you have what it takes to be the next Marty Halder.

In the camp, there were some witches that were surrounding her. She was someone that came from outside, brought over by Nightingale. There were always some that curious to those that just newly arrived, and a lot would ask for some stories. If nothing else, it was to relieve their boredom and broaden their horizon by sharing experiences with each other.

Tyre was very patient. She began telling them some stories as they wished. While it was unknown whether they were real, she managed to make those hearing her convinced. What she told them was not exaggerated, yet at the same time, it was not something so plain that they would get bored in the middle. She would constantly whet their appetite.

"You're from King's City? To escape from there, you're really good." Someone said with a sigh.

For witches, cities with a powerful church influence were simply a nightmare for them. While there were some witches that had history escaping from such places, it didn't change the fact that it was far harder than walking away from an obscure place like Border Town. Some older witches even had a horrifying experience or two from confronting the church directly, which made the story even more impactful.

Tyre quietly nodded to their comments, on her face was hanging a light smile and a tinge of blush would appear on her cheeks from time to time when she was praised. It was hard to believe she was deceiving them with such calmness, though, technically she was not really lying and rather leading them in the wrong direction by using their own imagination by purposedly blanking some parts of the story.

For example, she described her life in King's City. How she escaped from there by masquerading as one of the maids that followed Roland Wimbledon for his quest of throne trial. After a while, she gained his trust and became an attendant maid. The process was not particularly tense, but it was a rather unusual story for the listeners that it grabbed them firmly.

The story was not false but she omitted the part where she was actually a spy or she was not as simple as a mere attendant maid; she was actually the head maid. She also didn't include how Roland used to get attracted by her like a pig to feed which made her entry easier. Yet, for the witches, when they had their assumption that Tyre was one of their kind, the story became a rather heart throbbing journey.

She also made an attempt to sow seeds of their plan by making Roland the main character in her stories.

Gossiping the royalty was something that came naturally. Even though they were now witches, many of them used to be just normal citizens. With the majority of them came from the Graycastle Kingdom, they were more or less aware of the rumors about the infamous Roland Wimbledon, the black sheep of the royal family and had a great expectation to his detailed activities.

Tyre described him to be someone not only good looking, but he was also a homely type of person that unexpectedly very good at cooking unlike the regular nobility and never, to her knowledge, slight his subordinates on a whim. He also later emptied his personal saving shortly after he came to Border Town, and telling how he bravely placed himself in the opposite of Duke Ryan by decisively cutting the monopoly Longsong Stronghold always had that made the Border Town populace repeatedly suffered and even had the tragedy of mass death from starvation two years ago.

With her position as an attendant, it was inevitable that she would often talk about him. She covered her bases well by making his presence seemed natural in her story.

To make things not so obvious that she was clearly selling his face, Tyre also mixed in her descriptions of him with some glaring flaws. She deliberately slipped in a hint of frustration to her voice when she was talking how Roland was quite lazy and usually only waking up from his sleep in the middle of the day, making the attending maids' schedule completely unpredictable. While he was not lecherous, he often made her awkward because he seemed to be very appreciated of her butt. The prince also made his workers worked more than they expected, at some point even the knights had to do grunts type of work because his demands were a lot more than the workers available.

Because what she told them was basically the truth, her descriptions were vivid and said very earnestly. To make it even more appealing, her expression would also often changes along with her tones of voice, depending on which part she was talking about. 

After listening to Tyre, some of them had only disbelief written all over their faces. The notoriety of Roland had been engraved to their mind for so long after all. However, after thinking more of the rumors, they made up the reasons for that by piecing together what Tyre said. For example, Roland was known to be lecherous, but Tyre had said he was never being blatant about it. Regardless, whether he was appreciating them like a piece of art or not, it can't avoid that some would report he was being a pervert.

Someone called him a pervert gentleman that invited a string of laughter, everyone agreed it had a nice ring to it.

But what appealed to them the most was how he saved Anna from the unjust trial, treated her nicely and reprimanded those saying otherwise. As she brought up Anna's history, her character quickly garnered sympathy. She also quoted what Anna once said to Nightingale that she heard from, but regardless of the reason, the fact was that Anna didn't follow them to the camp despite Roland gave her the freedom to choose.

Tyre was in conflict whether she should tell them that Roland apparently never wore god's stone of retaliation or not, and ended up keeping silent on that part. While it might be the truth, it would be something hard to swallow and would bring a needless suspicion instead. Tyre knew where to draw the line before it became strange and she cleverly stopped just before the witches about to saturate from her stories.

They were already so enamored by it anyway.


In an even bolder move than what they previously thought of, Tyre joined both Nightingale and Nana to the camp. According to Roland, witches had a subtle difference in atmosphere and aura compared to those normal women, but as Nightingale supplemented, without those that have the ability to see the flow of magic, it would be still difficult to say with absolute accuracy whether someone was really a witch. Even if the appraiser was a witch herself.

She didn't have a supernatural ability, but she made up with her atmosphere forged by professional training. If one asked what she could do, she simply answered them that she had keen senses and enhanced physical abilities. This was not a lie and she could prove it because she had indeed better eyesight and hearing than most. While her sense of taste can be said normal, she had tasted so many exotic spices and rare ingredients she doubted witches living in the wilderness could challenge her in that aspect. As for something like her physical capability, it didn't even need to be said.

While it was not as exaggerated, like twice as powerful than normal, it was enough to mislead people in the camp after a simple display. Many witches were still young, they were quite naive even if they had suffered from some kind of oppression in the past. In fact, they were even more vulnerable to those they thought was from the same side.

Tyre took advantage of that, but she didn't dare to be careless and carefully wove each of her words after putting some thoughts. She might be able to deceive dozens of them, but she didn't count those with years as they grew and learned to be suspicious.

For example, the leader of the witches. Roland had said with a grave expression that Cara had lost sight of herself and was possessed with obsession. People with that tendency was very careful with anything foreign and would not hesitate to act first before assessing the situation later.

She had been watching Cara from the corner of her eyes from time to time. While the snake witch looked calm, she actually listened to her story with great attention. If she didn't hear the precaution from Roland, she would believe that she was simply curious like any other when in fact she was silently observing.

As for her observation, Tyre had no fear. While she was still puzzled by how exactly Roland saw through her identity, she believed her facade was at least a professional level. The only problem was whether there was another witch that could tell whether someone a witch and unknown to Nightingale. So long without such people present, with Nightingale's guarantee, she should be able to easily assimilate herself.

It might take some time, but like what Roland said to them as parting words, haste made waste.

Her, their goal was clear from the start.

Save the witches from Cara and her Holy Mountain and bring back as many witches as possible.

In the familiar, yet an unfamiliar world where witches were just a part of supernatural facts that ran along with the world, Chen Yan found himself replacing someone called Roland, a prince regarded hopeless by everyone.

Ever since the death of the former Grand White Witch, Grizelda, there was no witch that served as -The Grand Witch- for all witches. 
Many elder witch and experienced witch went missing and died right after Grizelda's death.
The remaining most qualified witch to take the role of Grizelda was Magdeline.
It made the community of the witches disarray, fearing for their own life.
There were rumors that all remaining allied witches of Grizelda were hunted down.
No soul could prove such a rumor to be true.
The position, -The Grand Witch- was supposed to be given to the most powerful living witch. It was a role that leads all witches and represents their community. An important role which unites all groups or order of witches.
A circle of witch pertains to a group of witch that serves the same ideology and practices.
Usually, each family of witches holds together as a circle of witch. But there were several cases that non-related group of witches bond together and form their own circle of witch.
Two factions amongst the community of witches, the [1] Light/White Witches and [2] The Dark Witches have struggled to gain the position of -The Grand Witch- through showdown and obliterating the entire circle. But ever since after the first great war against the hordes of darkness, the title of -Grand Witch- was passed down through kinship. 
No dark witch has become a grand witch due to their limited number.
There were more number of white witches than the dark witches.
This made other witches follow through the hierarchy of power from the influence of more known circle of witches.
But things changed when the former -Grand Witch- died along with the other influential circle of witches.
The Former Great Seer even died along with her disciples, obliterated with any remnants or possibility to find an immediate replacement for Grizelda.
Because it was said, that a great seer can determine the one with great power and the one would become the new grand witch.
Seers and witches were said to be supernatural beings linked together by fate.
Though, within the supernatural community, circle of witches and seers are all in hiding except for those witches serving as resident witch to a wolf pack.
One witch can become a resident witch in a wolf pack but a good relation with an Alpha is needed. 
Not all wolf packs have the opportunity to have a resident witch because not all witch are inclined to work with Alpha Werewolves.
Only those elder witches that have experience and great power had the confidence to even serve as a resident witch.
If only everyone knew that King Viktor was responsible for this dilemma.
He made sure that if the grand witch and great seer would not join his side, then he needed to eliminate his enemies.
Making sure that the supporters of the next chosen one will be less and close to none.

Beta Nolan read all the plans that are in process of implementation in front of the remaining audience.
Standing near the throne of King Viktor was only Persephone and Mia.
All Alpha Werewolves that he has given the task to protect and hold certain locations to counter any rogue attacks were preparing to leave.

A shock on everyone's face that a dark witch has become the new grand witch.
Mia stepped forward and started to thank Beta Nolan for his words.
But Beta Nolan had to hide his disinterest in knowing that Mia has become the new grand witch among the witches.
He knew that this will be a big issue not only to the community of witches but to the entire supernatural community.
For the first time a dark witch has gained the title -Grand Witch- without any circle of witches to defy or challenge her. 
Both King Viktor and Mia assured this when they murdered Grizelda and her allies. Of course with the help of elite vampires.
Unknown to the rest of the world that a big dark secret which King Viktor had.
Only Beta Nolan and Mia knew about this within the royal palace.
King Viktor has a secret pact with King Lionel, the king of vampires. 
Eliminating any threat to their own power. Both forces will work together in the shadows.

"Roland, this world and your actions here are all part of a story", said Steven.

Roland was taken aback. "Huh, what do you mean?" he stuttered.

"Your life is all described in a novel. Everything you have done is a story meant for entertainment. I have read this story and thus know everything about you. Your original name was Chen Yan. I know about your current plans, and I know about what will happen in the future." Steven smiled at Roland. "I can tell you all about what will happen."

Roland sat in silence as he thought about what Steven had said. It seems the infinite universe theory is correct. Still, it was rather off putting that he was fictional. "Wait, you said you know what happens in the future? Could you tell me about it?"

Steven told Roland everything he knew as Roland listened. "The story hasn't finished yet, so I don't know how it all ends", said Steven.

Roland rubbed his forehead as he thought through what he had just heard. He was glad that his plans had proceeded well, but there were so many challenges awaiting him. The Third Battle of Divine Will is his main challenge. The demons were not as simple as he thought and he would have to accelerate his plans. Fortunately, he now knows about the Taquila witches. The fact that there were survivors of Taquila other than Agatha was shocking to him. He hoped to get into contact with them sooner, but it would be difficult to find them. Knowing about the future witches was helpful, but a minor matter. What caught his attention the most was the information about the church. So this organization that hunted down witches was actually founded by witches and is even now led by a witch named Zero. If their goal was also to stop the demons, then perhaps there would be room to negotiate. The only issue was, the church was wasting valuable resources by killing off witches to make God Punishment Warriors. Roland was determined to save the witches and free them from persecution so he could not abide by their current policy.

Steven told Roland, "You have done very good work here. The standard of living has increased drastically and you have ended centuries of social conflict. You are a very good leader and I hope to help you in aiding humanity and allowing the people of this world to attain greatness."

"I appreciate your help", Roland told Steven. "Do you have anything else to tell me?"

"I think that will be all for today", Steven replied.

Roland told Steven, "I will arrange for you to be given a room in the castle. Your living needs will be provided to you."

After Steven thanked Roland and left the room, Roland asked Nightingale, "Did Steven lie at all when he was talking to me?"

"No, he did not tell any lies. But I couldn't understand a word he was saying." Nightingale looked confused. "How were you able to talk to him?"

"Gather the others", Roland said. "I have an important announcement to make."

"You still didn't answer my question." Nightingale seemed displeased.

"You will find out when all the others do", Roland replied.

Nightingale pouted before vanishing into her mist.

The witches were all gathered together. They were whispering to each other, trying to find out if any of the others knew what was going on. When Roland came into the room, they all quieted down.

Roland began speaking to the witches gathered in front of him.

"The time has finally come for me to tell you all about myself. You see, I am not from this world."

Murmurs of shock were heard throughout the room.

"I am from a much different world, one without magic. A world where mankind relies on technology. All of the advancements I have made are a result of my knowledge. One day, I found myself in the body of Roland Wimbledon. The old Roland is gone, and I was the one to replace him."

Tilly spoke up, "Does that mean that you are not actually my brother?"

Nightingale sighed before disappearing again.

Roland ruminated about what had happened today. The new information was a huge boon and he needed to take advantage of it. He had some plans for the future and planned to talk about it with Steven tomorrow.
