Goblin Riders merupakan pasukan elit bangsa Goblin, dan mereka adalah salah satu pasukan yang akhir-akhir ini telah membumihangsukan beberapa desa di kerajaan mataram.  Mereka handal dalam serangan jarak jauh maupun serangan jarak dekat, karena sejak kecil mereka telah dilatih menggunakan panah dan pedang.
Goblin Riders mempunyai kulit berwarna hijau kecokelatan dan postur tubuh yang terbilang kecil, sedikit lebih besar dari seekor Goblin Fighter yang hanya mempunyai tinggi sekitar 1 meter.

"Sial!  Keluarkan perisai kalian!  Jangan biarkan mereka menembus pertahanan kita!" seru MrAkik, mengeluarkan perisainya dan bergegas menuju ke barisan belakang.
Para Guardian berbaris menyamping, menghadangkan perisai mereka dan memblokir jalan, membuat para pengendara menabrak dinding perisai.
"BluePanda, bantu aku!" seru JT, melompati barisan para Guardian dan menyerang kawanan Goblin yang formasi depannya telah hancur akibat menabrak dinding perisai.  Ia memukul kepala Wild Boar yang menerkamnya dan kemudian mencekik Goblin yang menunggangi monster babi tersebut.
"Jangan bermalas-malasan ditempat.  Aku duluan!" kata BluePanda, melewati JT dan menyerang kawanan Goblin Riders bersama dengan bayangannya.
Para anggota BlackStone yang lain juga bergegas membantu mereka dan melancarkan berbagai macam serangan kearah para Goblin tersebut.

Kawanan Wild Boar yang sudah kehilangan tuannya menyerang siapapun secara membabi buta, tak peduli jika itu Senshi maupun Goblin.  Sedangkan barisan belakang para Goblin terhenti, mereka menembakkan anak panah secara brutal, tidak peduli jika anak panah tersebut mengenai sesama Goblin.
Para Guardian yang telah berhasil menghadang laju dari para Riders bergegas bergabung di barisan paling depan untuk membantu teman-teman mereka dan menjalankan tugas mereka sebagai tank.

Para Senshi berada diatas angin, membantai para Goblin dengan cukup mudah, hingga pimpinan dari pasukan Goblin muncul dan menghempaskan para Guardian yang menghadang jalannya.
"Jangan paksakan keburuntungan kalian, manusia rendahan!" kata seekor Goblin berbadan kekar, menggenggam kepala salah seorang Senshi yang sudah sekarat dan kemudian melemparkannya ke samping, menabrak tembok.

Peperangan terlihat sengit.  Ledakan terjadi dimana-mana.  Kematian pun tidak dapat lagi dihindari.  Banyak korban yang telah jatuh dari ketiga belah pihak.

Suicide Goblin mempunyai kecerdasan tingkat rendah dan bukan tergolong sebagai Goblin tipe petarung.  Jenis Goblin ini memiliki ukuran tubuh lebih kecil daripada Goblin Fighter dan mempunyai ciri khas kulit yang dihiasi oleh cat warna.  Mereka sangat menyukai ledakan dan selalu berlomba-lomba untuk dapat menciptakan ledakan yang dahsyat.

"Sial!"  Para Senshi terlihat kewalahan melawan pasukan Goblin yang mereka hadapi. 
"Kami akan memancing sebagian dari mereka untuk menjauh!  Kalian urusi sisanya!" teriak salah seorang Senshi, berlari menjauh menuju ke lorong, mencoba untuk memisahkan pasukan Goblin yang mereka hadapi. 
Separuh dari pasukan Goblin tersebut bergegas mengejar para Senshi tersebut, menyisakan separuh lainnya bertarung dengan para Senshi yang masih di tempat.
"Sial!  Aku tidak akan kalah dengan makhluk aneh seperti kalian!!" teriak salah satu Senshi, berlari menyerang, membantai Goblin Fighter yang menghalangi jalannya.  Namun usahanya untuk membantai para Goblin terhenti ketika Puluhan Suicide Goblin berlari mengepungnya dan kemudian meledakkan diri mereka, membuat tubuh dari Senshi tersebut meledak berkeping-keping.
Pertarungan di dalam labirin semakin terasa sengit.  Jumlah besar dari kedua belah pihak sama sekali tidak berarti karena medan perang tempat mereka bertarung yang cukup sempit.  Namun begitu, para Senshi masih lebih unggul di beberapa titik medan perang yang ada di dalam labirin.

Gina berlari menuju ke penjara dan bergegas mencari kunci kandang yang mengurung para budak.  Ia terlihat sangat panik ketika suara dari para Goblin yang tadi mengejarnya terdengar mulai terdengar.
Saat Gina akhirnya menemukan kunci kandang yang ia cari, salah satu Goblin yang sedang mengejarnya menarik tangan kirinya dan berkata, "Grr... Apa yang sedang kau lakukan disini?!  Kenapa kau lari dari kami!!"

Goblin Warrior memiliki ukuran tubuh sedikit lebih besar dari Goblin Fighter dan hampir sebagian besar dari mereka memiliki kulit yang berwarna sedikit gelap. 
Goblin Warrior memakai peralatan tempur lengkap seperti armor dan perisai.  Mereka juga mampu menggunakan berbagai macam jenis senjata seperti pedang, tombak, cambuk, gada dan lain sebagainya.  Walaupun jumlah mereka tidak terlalu banyak, namun satu pasukan Goblin Warrior sudah cukup untuk menhancurkan sebuah desa.

Gina terlihat sangat gugup dan tidak tahu harus berkata apa.  Selain karena ia sadar telah mengkhianati mereka, Gina yang seekor Goblin betina tidak seharusnya mendekati wilayah penjara bawah tanah yang menjadi tempat larangan untuk seluruh Goblin betina kasta rendah.
Gina tidak akan mungkin menang jika ia berusaha untuk melawan para Goblin yang mengepungnya, namun ia juga tidak mungkin untuk menceritakan yang sebenarnya kepada mereka, karena ia sendiri tidak mungkin bisa untuk mengkhianati Shiro.
"Grmm?"  RJ-Kalong terbang mengitari mereka.  Gina memandangi kelelawar tersebut dan mengira jika pergerakannya selalu diawasi.

Kael, who was observing the goblin on the sidelines, was busy sifting through his memories of his past life as the Invoker. He had never seen the Whitemoon Goblin before, since the Hundred Realms was so vast and big a place, with many planes crossing and intersecting with each other. Though he had vast experience, it was inevitable that he didn't have knowledge of a common creature in the lowest tier realm.

However, he was able to identify two important points. Firstly, the goblin heavily depended on its claws. It didn't have any external weapons, presumably because it was unsuitable to have claws holding onto weapons. That meant that it was susceptible to long range attacks.
Secondly, it didn't possess great evasive abilities. When the cultivators attacked it, it always parried the attacks instead of evading. Their characteristic short stumpy legs of goblins made it hard for it to be agile.

Kael was just a normal person who didn't even reach the Commoner Rank. Long range attacks belonged to cultivators who were Herald Rank or above, when they could actualize their magic power into material forms outside of their bodies. Commoner Rank cultivators could only feel magic power coursing through their meridians and execute attacks that required physical contact. For someone like Kael, the best he could do was to execute basic spirit arts that didn't require a harsh requirement on his cultivation level. Based on this point, he wasn't able to capitalize on the first weakness, unless he had a long range weapon like a bow and arrows.

With that, he came up with a battle strategy.

"Who's next?" Patten Eagle asked, infusing his voice with a spirit art to project it louder.
"Me." Kael came out of the crowd and waved his hand.

"Huh? You aren't even a Commoner Rank. Thus, you are unqualified." Patten Eagle replied dismissively.

"It doesn't matter, as long as I can defeat this goblin right?"

"Didn't you see the two previous cultivators? Even they couldn't defeat this goblin. Aren't you estimating yourself too highly? Go back. Don't waste everyone's time here." Patten Eagle nearly wanted to sneer, however he represented the City Lord, thus he was still reining in his temper when facing this ignorant young man.

"I will submit myself to slavery if I can't defeat this goblin. How about that? Is that enough of a bet?" Kael was extremely confident in himself.

"Oh? Such a huge price? Alright then. Let me see what you are capable of. Be prepared to be enslaved though." Patten Eagle was caught surprised by this man's recklessness.

Kael proceeded and ambled casually towards the inner ring where the Whitemoon Gobin was. He picked up a stone from the ground and casually tossed it up and down.

"A pebble? What is this joker going to do? Hey! Just go home already! Don't waste our time!"
"That's right! What are you trying to play at? Even a sword can't compete with its claws. What are you doing with a common stone off the road? Piss off!"

An eerie smile crept upon Kael's face. The Whitemoon Goblin snarled at him too. Apparently it was able to see through Kael's cultivation level, thus it was looking down on Kael too.

Unperturbed, Kael suddenly rushed towards the Whitemoon Goblin. The goblin thought this man was suicidal and wanted a head-on clash, thus it brandished its claws to parry against the incoming attack.

When Kael was in proximity of the claws, he channeled 10% of his magic power into his legs.
"Spirit Art: Spirit Steps!" Kael suddenly veered off towards the goblin's left in a 90-degree direction. Following that, he didn't stop. When the goblin turned to its left, Kael turned once again to the goblin's left.

The goblin kept turning left in a circle to face Kael. However, Kael kept avoiding frontal confrontation with the goblin, instead circling around the goblin. Because he used a Spirit Art, his speed of encircling was many times of the previous two cultivators.

After 3 rounds, suddenly Kael switched directions. He veered to the right of the goblin. The goblin was taken aback and wanted to turn right to catch Kael. However, its short and stumpy legs wasn't able to turn agilely.

Kael then channeled 10% of his magic power reserves into the stone in his left hand and flicked the stone towards the goblin's short legs.

When the stone hit the goblin, it tripped itself and fell over to the ground.  

Kael took the opportunity and channeled 20% of his magic power reserves into his right fist as he pummeled the goblin's head. The goblin was falling to the ground and wasn't able to block the attack in time.

In that split second, when the goblin was caught off-guard, Kael's fist made contact with the goblin's head.

"Octane Blast!"

"Smash!" Dark blue blood spluttered everywhere. The goblin laid down dead and lifeless on the ground.

There was an awkward silence in the air. In just 10 short seconds, Kael, a person who didn't even reach the Commoner Rank, had disposed of a goblin that other cultivators found hard to deal with.

Kael broke the silence. "So Leader, am I qualified now? Sorry I killed this goblin. You'll have to find other methods to test the other candidates."

Patten Eagle's mind wasn't able to connect the pieces together. How did this normal person kill this goblin so easily and effectively?

"Alright… ye- yes… I suppose you pass. However we have to be in the mine for 3 days at the very least. With your cultivation level, how long can your magic reserves last you?" Though shocked, Patten Eagle still retained a calm mind befitting of a leader and saw through Kael's weakness immediately.

"That's right. I used up 40% of my magic reserves. Thus I can't fight goblins continuously. That's why I'm applying to be the tactician of this expedition!" Kael replied earnestly.

Immediately, there was an uproar in the crowd. They finally responded after the initial shock.
"What is this guy saying? He wants to be the second-in-command?!"

Kael was a powerful wizard known as the Invoker in the Hundred Realms. After failing in the war between the Radiant Faction and the Dire Faction, he lost his life as the Fountain of Essence no longer granted him revival chances when the Radiant Ancient Tree fell to the hands of the Dire Faction.

He was reborn in a slum in the lowest tier of realm in the Hundred Realms, in the Myriad Domain.

This is a story of Kael, leveraging on his past memories, to forge a new path for himself on the road of cultivation to become the strongest existence once again so that he can challenge the gods in the Defense of the Ancients, a cataclysmic event. Only through that would he be able to claim true eternal life amongst the planes of the Hundred Realms.

P.S A lot of the novel emphasizes on team tactics and battles, quite different from the usual one man show of similar genres. This is to stay true to the spirit of the game, DOTA 2, itself. At the same time, the MC is still a very powerful, charming and smart person, giving a balance to individuality and teamwork.

It took Marcus a few hours to really get us to his new body. With the boost in strength. While Marcus was still adjusting to his new body be looked at the remains of the bear. 

The hide, horn, and bones were all that was left. Now that Marcus's body was double its size he needed new armor and weapons. 

Marcus used the horn to craft a new spear and the hide to craft a full set of armor.

Now Marcus felt like a true warrior. Once again Marcus began to travel through the forest. For the most part, Marcus didn't find anything of interest a few rabbits and fox here and there but he made quick work of them gaining two levels. 

Marcus began to notice that it was beginning to get dark so he backtracked to the bear cave. He decided he would use this as a temporary home. Marcus used his fire magic to make a small fireball that hovered over the palm of his hand. As he got deeper he began to see bones and rotting hide over the floor. The cave wasn't too deep but was still enough for Marcus to spend the night in. 

Marcus used his fire magic to incinerate bone and hide in a small circle making a clearing for him to sleep. As soon as Marcus laid on the ground he passed out. 

The next morning Marcus felt better than ever. Marcus decided he would head back to the goblin cavern. 

Marcus began to make the trip back. Marcus wanted to head back mainly just to see if his brothers and sister have changed within the last day. 

As Marcus traveled through the forest he noticed that with his new body he could easily travel through the forest. Within an hour Marcus was nearing the Goblin cave. 

Marcus was almost there when he came upon a small group of goblins. There was five of them the highest level is 6 and the lowest 3. 

As soon as the goblins saw Marcus they all went on guard. They all had loincloth on and we're gripping stone spears. 

Marcus just stopped and stared at them the lower leveled ones were acting very skittish. Marcus being twice their size frightened them. But the level 6 goblin realized that it was 5 to 1 so he thought that they could easily kill Marcus. 

Marcus on the other hand notice that they were younger looking goblins so they must be his brothers. He didn't want to fight them just talk. But before he could try to say anything the level 6 goblin said: " we outnumber it, kill".
The other goblins realized what the other goblin said even tho it was pronounced very brutishly. 

 Marcus of course herd this as well and before any of the goblins could start attacking Marcus activated {Charge}. Marcus aimed for the level 6 goblin. Marcus collided with the goblin head on, his middle horn pierced right into the middle of the goblin's chest driving it into the ground With the added damage from Marcus's strength points he killed the goblin without breaking any sweat. 

Marcus dislodged his horn from the chest of the goblin. He got a good look at what was left of the goblin that could be accurately called a pancake goblin now. 

Marcus looked at the other goblins and before he could activate charge again the goblins all dropped their weapon and dropped to their knees with their arms straight out in front of them. Almost like they were worshiping Marcus. 

" We follow" 

Marcus was dumbfounded. He couldn't decide what to do. He didn't know if he wanted a following of these ugly little bastards even if they were his brothers. In the end, Marcus decided that the numbers could help out if he came against a threat he couldn't handle by himself. 

Marcus said one simple word that the other goblins treated it like it came right from a God. "Follow".

The goblins immediately jump to their feet and got behind Marcus. Marcus continued towards the goblin cave. He now had a plan and thinking of it brought a huge grin to his face.

A Man named Marcus lived his life in greed, using up almost all off the money his parents left him when they died eventually becoming homeless. After a couple of weeks of being homeless Marcus told himself he would finally make something of himself. right after Marcus was killed by Jeff the construction worker. The next thing Marcus knew he was a baby goblin in a strange fantasy world with some kind of mystery system.

As soon as I stepped in the fourth room, the genderless voice of the tower sounded to my ears. A dozen of cold weapons floated in front of my eyes.
'I don't remember the tutorial very well, but I do remember having to choose a weapon after receiving basic training with instructors.'
"Things are finally going to get interesting. Human, do you need any advice on choosing a weapon?"
I glanced at the source of the voice and smirked. It was the annoying fairy, once again trying to swindle some points out of my pocket. "No thanks."
And without hesitation, I grabbed onto the wooden staff. I did not spare a glance at the sword I took in my previous life. Just like for the spells, there were no official limits to the number of weapons I could grab. However, taking more than one was very unpractical, even if it was just a small dagger. The weapons did not come with any storage item and needed to hold at all times. The blades had no sheath and the other weapons were all quite heavy since they were made of metal.
This was the main reason behind my choice.

The following challenges were not going to be limited to simply facing certain enemies. The weapons themselves did not have any stats or magical effects; they were basic weapons. And as a result, I decided to choose a simple wooden staff. It was a rather light weapon that could double down as a walking stick.
Furthermore, because of the situation on the upper floors, a wooden weapon was more valuable than a metallic one.

[Your first task is about to begin.]
[Task 1: Defeat the goblin]
I closed my eyes as I felt my surrounding change. I hated watching the scene transitions taking place in the rooms; I would always feel dizzy by the swirling colours.
'Defeat the goblin… Does that mean there is only one goblin? My memories of the tutorial are quite blurry, but I do remember that the monsters were not that strong.'
'However, my situation is different this time. I chose the Healing element, not the Fire element. Hopefully, the difficulty of these battles will take my element into account.'
When I opened my eyes, I found myself staring at a large tree. I was in a forest, surrounded by trees, bushes, and even small animals running away from me. I was momentarily blinded by the bright light shining through the foliage.
'What a realistic illusion. It does smell just like a real forest. I can even hear the rustling of leaves and the cries of the animals.'
I closed my eyes and enjoyed this moment. I was not worried at all by the presence of a goblin in the forest. A goblin was a weak creature. It had an iconic green skin and was generally as tall and strong as a child.
'Alright. Enough time wasted.' 
The forest felt peaceful and I wanted nothing more than to sit down and take a nap. Unfortunately, now was not the time for that. Holding onto the wooden staff, I carefully observed my surroundings.
I was not given any direction and knew I simply had to wait for the goblin to show up. Fortunately, it did not take long for me to notice the green-skinned creature stepping out of a nearby bush. He was short and ugly, holding onto a sharp stone hatchet.
"Ghrrh"
The goblin groaned threateningly and raised his hatchet.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. I don't remember how I reacted in my past life but this time, the goblin did not represent much of a threat to me. In fact, he seemed weak and pitiful.
"I'll take you out of your misery."
Without further ado, I lunged toward the goblin and swung my staff. The staff gave me a much larger range of attack, allowing me to keep a safe distance from the goblin. It smashed against the goblin's head, sending his whole body flying. The goblin crashed into a large tree and died instantly. It did not even have time to scream or fight back.
I stood in the middle of the clearing, unfazed by the death of the creature. It all went as I expected.

[Task 2: Walk 500m North]
'Just like I expected. The next task is to enter the forest where I will probably encounter more goblins…'
I placed my wooden staff over my shoulder and turned my attention to the goblin's corpse. There was one more thing I needed to do before leaving. I did not have any storage item to take the goblin's body with me; it could be sold for one mana stone at the cities. However, there was one part of the goblin's body that I could use right now: his mana stone.
Every living being of the tower held a mana stone somewhere on their body; even I who was now a resident of the tower had a mana stone. It was the very reason I could use magic.
I did not have a blade to properly dissect the goblin and therefore, the only method I could use was to smash the goblin's head until the mana stone in its brain would fall out.
The task was gruesome but eventually, I saw the familiar cold bead rolling out of the goblin's skull. It was covered with a green musky fluid. I felt repulsed by it. Nevertheless, I grabbed the mana stone and tossed it in my pants' pocket.
'I will need to find a river or something consuming the mana stone.'
"Levi. You're still here?" For the first time since the start of the tutorial, I called for the fairy myself. I knew he hasn't left me; he was not allowed to.
The fairy immediately appeared to my side. "Yes, human. Did you call my name?" He seemed pleasantly surprised.
"Yes. Which direction is North?"
The fairy's eyes lit up. An opportunity finally presented itself, the d*mn human was not omnipotent after all and still needed his help to get the correct direction.
"The North direction? I can, of course, help you find your way through the forest but as I said before, there is a small fee I would have to ask you for my help." Levi excitedly rubbed his hands; he was salivating at the fees he could charge to give me the correct direction.
To that, I simply shook my head. "Nevermind, I will find out the correct direction by myself." And so, without further ado, I chose a random direction and disappeared behind the dense bushes.
The fairy froze in place and watched my disappearing back in disbelief. He quickly caught up with me and spoke anxiously. "What are you doing? Are you not worried about picking the wrong direction? Your task is to head North. How irresponsible can you be to pick a random direction because of your pride!"
I chuckled. "It's fine. Eventually, I will end up at the appointed location. There is no time limit to this task."
"There is no time limit but what about the dangerous creatures lying in wait in the forest. If you choose a random path, you may end up in one of their lairs. The tutorial is meant to adapt newbies like you to the harsh reality of the tower. However, it is only true if you follow the instructions. If you step out of bounds, you will be exposed to a lot more danger than you can handle."
The fairy kept speaking next to my ears. "Look at the odds; only one direction is the correct one. Are you willing to gamble your life over just a few points? I did not even set a price for the information yet; we can discuss it. How about a measly fifty points?"
Levi spoke with a calm and rightful expression. He looked at me pitifully as if he was lending a hand. However, I knew better and would not be fooled.
"First of all, my most precious possession right now is this wooden staff and it is not even worth one point. How do you expect me to pay you back fifty points afterward?"
"Second, when did I ever say that I wanted to head North? I asked you for the correct direction to precisely avoid going there. Why would I want to leave this perfect training ground? I would rather roam around and look for goblins and other monsters to harvest their mana stone. Using your own words, the odds are in my favour, aren't they?" I smirked as I watched Levi's confidence crumble.
"…"
The fairy found himself unable to retort. "You… Are you really planning to hunt down the monsters here?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I? This is a rare opportunity to hunt weak monsters. Furthermore, maybe I will find a treasure hiding in this forest. The tutorial has no rules."
"… Why did I become the guide of such an unconventional human? Could you not just act normally and pay the consultation fees like everyone else?"

I was sent back in time to fulfill my wish of living peacefully. I returned to the day it all started; the day the humans first entered the tower of hope. I was the chosen one; the only human with the knowledge of the upcoming events. And yet, I chose a different path. I am tired have no intention of joining the frontline. I earned my retirement and shall live peacefully at the cities as a healer. But first, I need to get through this tutorial and shall squeeze out all the benefits I can from the zeroth floor.

Three days later, Zhao Fu and his team had nearly wiped out all of the other Goblins. His team had now expanded to 32 Goblins, and because the battles in the last few days had been quite intense, some of his Goblins had been injured or killed. Because of this, he added some more Goblins to his team. He now had five blue Goblins, seven red Goblins, and 20 Hobgoblins.
This was now quite a big team, and Zhao Fu led them towards the inner regions of the historical remnant. Zhao Fu had also received some information from his subdued Goblins about this historical remnant.
The region he had been in before was the outer region, while the true inner region was guarded by a group of Minotaurs. Minotaur was a special military profession for Tauren, and Minotaurs were especially violent. The Goblins could only stay in the outer regions of the historical remnant because they feared the Minotaurs, and they did not dare to venture into the inner regions of the historical remnant.
From what he heard, Zhao Fu knew that the inner region of the historical remnant would be even more dangerous, and he understood how powerful the Minotaurs were. However, he still wanted to take a look – after all, riches and honor were found with danger. Good fortune very rarely came easily, and it usually took risks to obtain.
The Goblins who were familiar with this area led the way, and Zhao Fu followed behind them. They passed by more and more structures until they arrived at a ruined castle.
The castle was quite large and majestic, and it was a western-styled castle. However, it had fallen into ruin, and most of the walls had collapsed. Weeds and grasses had also grown all over the castle, making it look quite desolate.
What’s more, Zhao Fu saw a stage with four grey stone steles that were about 1 meter tall, which seemed to be Profession Change Stone Steles.
Zhao Fu walked over and found that they were indeed Profession Change Stone Steles, and they corresponded to the four types of Goblins he had found in the historical remnant.
[Goblin Club-Wielder]: E+ grade Military, Description: Goblin soldiers who wield clubs, Effect: Receives skill [Blunt Attack].
This first military profession somewhat surprised Zhao Fu. This was because it was E+ grade, which was slightly higher than Great Qin’s E grade Soldier profession.
However, Zhao Fu’s Great Qin Soldier profession did not have a limit. An unlimited number of people could obtain that profession, while there was a limit of 1,000 Goblins for this profession. However, because of the Great Qin Town’s bonus stats, he could have 2,000 Goblin Club-Wielders.
At the same time, Zhao Fu suddenly felt that the Great Qin Soldier profession’s grade was too low and wouldn’t be enough for future battles. However, Zhao Fu did not know how to raise its grade. Following this, Zhao Fu looked at the other Goblin professions.
[Rock Thrower – Goblin]: E+ grade Military, Description: Goblin soldiers who have terrifying rock-throwing abilities, Effect: Receives skill [Rock Throwing].
[Hobgoblin]: D grade Military, Description: Powerful Goblin soldiers who wield sharp swords, Effect: Receives skill [Sword Essentials].
[Blue Red – Goblin]: D+ grade Military, Description: Goblin Mages who can cast powerful magic, Effect: Receives skill [Ice Fire].
These three professions also had limits: the Goblin Rock Thrower profession had a limit of 500, the Hobgoblin profession had a limit of 200, and the Blue Red Goblin profession had a limit of 100.
Zhao Fu stretched out his hand and found that the Profession Change Stone Steles could be moved, making him quite happy. He immediately put them into his King’s Ring; with these four Profession Change Stone Steles, the Goblins would have a complete set of professions.
Next, Zhao Fu turned his gaze towards the castle. He told his Goblins to wait outside while he went inside to scout out the situation. With his Assassin profession, he didn’t need to worry. However, if he brought too many people in, it was likely that they would be found out.
The Goblins heeded his orders and remained outside – after all, they were quite afraid of the Minotaurs. Zhao Fu entered the castle from a hole in a wall and suppressed his aura as he ventured inside.
At first, Zhao Fu did not find much, and his surroundings were quite normal. It was very quiet, but as Zhao Fu advanced, he started to hear sounds from ahead.
There were loud snores, the sound of things being smashed, and loud roars. The various voices all sounded like they came from cows.
Zhao Fu slowly climbed up a rather tall structure and looked ahead, and he saw roughly 50 or so Minotaurs.
These Minotaurs had the body of a human and the head of a cow. They also had muscles all over their bodies and a piece of beastskin covering their waists.
However, these Minotaurs were exceptionally big, about 4 meters tall, and they were easily angered. When they went berserk, their eyes would turn blood-red.
Furthermore, apart from the normal Minotaurs, he also saw the Minotaur Chief standing in front of a pair of exquisitely-carved doors.
This Minotaur Chief was 6 meters tall and had a pair of sharp horns that gave off a dark light. His muscles were well-defined, and he gave off an incredibly powerful aura of suppression.
After observing these things, Zhao Fu left and thought about how he could deal with these Minotaurs. They possessed a profession that had powerful, explosive strength, and with how easily they went berserk, they were even more dangerous. After all, their strength increased by many times in their berserk state.
With how terrifying these Minotaurs were, it was best to not confront them in a direct fight. Rather, using strategies and tricks would be much more effective.
Zhao Fu thought of something and found a tree that was 10 or so meters tall. He took out a chain that was two fingers wide that he had prepared a while ago in the Great Qin Town, and he found a large rock.
Whether this plan could work depended on cooperation.
Moreover, because of the existence of the Minotaur Chief, Zhao Fu had to be careful. After all, the normal Minotaurs would obey the Minotaur Chief, and if the Chief detected anything, the entire plan would fall apart. Right now, Zhao Fu’s strength wasn’t enough to take on the Minotaur Chief.
Following this, the plan went into motion. Zhao Fu took a few Goblins into the castle and chose a Minotaur who away from the rest of the group. He threw a rock at him before pushing out a Goblin, who continuously provoked the Minotaur.
The Goblin pushed out by Zhao Fu felt wronged because he feared Minotaurs. However, he was unable to resist Zhao Fu’s threats, and because Zhao Fu had guaranteed his life, he could only reluctantly provoke the Minotaur.
Facing a Goblin from outside, the Minotaur wasn’t too wary. If it was Zhao Fu provoking them, the Minotaurs would have been very wary of him, and many Minotaurs would have come to kill him.
Very soon, under the Goblin’s repeated provocations, the Minotaur became angered, and its eyes became blood-red as it breathed out steam and rushed at the Goblin.
It was a success! Zhao Fu hurriedly picked up that Goblin and turned and ran.


“Ding! Soulbinding has been successfully completed; you will now head to the Heaven Awaken World.” After hearing this, Zhao Fu’s vision darkened as he fell to the ground.

Moving through the dead trees there were only dead plants. After a while he got to the end of the forest. On the edge of it there were no more grass or dead trees. Just barren waste land until the eye could see. Far away in the edge of the visible world there were mountains, but before it there wasn't even a hill. It looked like someone ran the whole place over with a bulldozer and destroyed everything in it's way. Or actually almost everything.
To the left from where he was standing in a few hundred meters away there was a small village. Several streaks of smoke came out of the place, like some people lived there. But after closer inspection he saw that the houses were decrepeted and really old. The villagers were little green people, which he assumed were goblins.
'Oh no! I can't let them see me!'
He hid behind a dead tree and than looked around. He did not see or hear anything around him so he started to look into the wasteland once more.
To the right from where he was far away from the forest, there was a fort of some sort. But it looked barbaric and "evil", with all sort of symbols made from red substance, which he assumed was blood.
'Not a place, where a sensible man would live at.'
The last place he saw was sort of in the middle of the two places he looked at before, but further away. It looked closer to the mountains, than the forest. It was a castle like building, but he wasn't sure about it. Above it was a giant moving dark cloud, which looked like, it was made out of several hundred creatures flying in circles.
'A hard no on that one. It is a castle straigh out of a horror movie!'
He looked around again looking for an other place, but there was nothing more.
'This won't do it at all. At this rate I have to turn back! ... But the wolves!'
He turned back and looked at the forest. His stomach rumbled.
'Ahhh... It's still better than a wasteland without food!'
Before going back he inspected a few dead wood and searched for a few branches that would suffice for spears. After a few minutes of searching, he found 5 which were good enough. He spent some time making them sharp and than went back to the living part of the forest with the spears in his hands. He searched for bushes which had elastic branches and made some quiver like item from them, than placed the spears into it.
'Ths should hold out. Now for the food.'
He ate some of the berries found on bushes and thought were good, than continued on his journey.
After walking for a while he saw a goblin in the forest sitting between the trees and doing something. He did not see what it was doing, but he did not wanted to disturb it.
'It should be fine, if I would just take a route around it. '
'...'
'Or wait! I could kill it and gain some exp!'
Than he shivered at the thought.
'Killing a creature, which was just minding it's own business. Why would it be ok? Even if this world has a game like system it's still killing. Those things are not humans, but they have "high" intelligence and feelings. Just killing it without a reason would be a sin.'
Than he stopped with this line of thought.
'Sin? There is no sin in survival. If I kill to survive, it's not sin.'
Fortunatelly the goblin was immersed in whatever it was doing. So he went a little closer, as sneaky as he could. He looked at what the goblin had.
'A crude stone knife, a spear and really gross pants. Nothing? Not even food, or water? Than I guess I should just leave.'
Just as he had these thought, the goblin seemed like felt his presence and started to look around. He quicly hid behind a tree and looked out through the leaves. Than he saw what the goblin was doing. It was eating an other goblin. His mouth and hands were filled with *omited*. He quicly pulled his head back behind the tree.
'OMG! This is a cannibal! It's eating it's own kind!'
Though he did know that some races even ate it's own kind for food, if there was nothing else, but it was just too much for him to handle. He started to sweat and looked out once more.
'The goblin is gone? Where did it go? It didn't make any noi...'
He couldn't even end the thread, he fellt pain in his back.
'He got behind me?'
He jumped forward and turned around. The goblin looked at him, like it was suprised.
'Why can't I see my health, or his, or his level? What is wrong with this system?!'
As he pulled out his makeshift spear and hit the goblin's, he got suprised as well. Even though the goblin didn't looked like it, it was strong. His spear couldn't move the goblin's.
It quicly stabbed back, but he was far enough, so that just stepping back got him away and the spear missed him. Than tried to stab the goblin, but it was to fast. After they both missed the target, they froze for a moment, but than the goblin charged at him angrily.
"You little piece of XX!"
He jumped aside and the goblin barely missed him. Than hit it with the spear as he was turning around to face the goblin again. It made it even more angry and it threw the spear at him. The spear landed in his shoulder, causing incredible pain. It was even worse than the stab in the back.
"I'll kill you for this!"
He was just as angry as the goblin and charged at it, but the goblin grabbed his spear and twisted it out of his hand. Than jumped on him and tried to bite his neck, but he was just fast enough to stop the goblin in midair and held it in his hands.
"Now I got you!"
But the goblin instead of despair felt only more anger. It digged it's nailes into his hands.
"Aaaahhh...!"
He let go of it because of the pain. It took advantage of that moment and jumped on him and started to strangle him.
He tried to hit the goblin, struggled with all his power, but it wasn't enough. Than he realized, that something was in his pocket. He grabbed it and stabbed the neck of the goblin.
The knife went in deep without a problem. Blood flow on his face, but instead of letting it go, he started to move it through the goblin's neck. It had no time to respond and fell on him dead.
Joseph caughed for a while and took deep breaths. Than pushed the body off of him and sit up.
"This... it must have been... a high levelled one..."
He looked at his wounds, but surprisingly all the wounds got better, there was almost no signs of the wounds, except for that, his skin was red on the spots. After a little break collected the spear of the goblin, it's crude stone knife and cleared as much blood of of himself and his pocket knife, as he could. He looked at his status and was really supprised.

He started to caugh again from the shouting.
'Was it just a level one mob? Than why was it so strong?'
Than he looked below it.

'Health 50 and Constitution 5? Why did they change? I did not level up! ... Maybe I got points just doing stuff and not levelling up?'
And he finally saw the new ability as well.
'Oh yes! Some usefull ability! Though it is still low levelled. Let's see the description!'

You can examine everything you come across. After examination, you can see all the information about them that you got from somewhere, even if you only read it once and forget about it.
"This is useless! All the abilities I got are useless! I'm gonna cry! Every part of my bodie hurts! I got only useless abilities and I have to survive in this wild world!"
Than he realized what he should've as soon as he saw all the new informations.
'Wait! Actually my stats are getting better, even if I don't level up. Maybe I could get some more with excersises. Also this ability, even if it seems useless, I might actually get some good things out of it, if I read more books, or just listen to new things.'
Than he looked around and got depressed.
'Where would I even get new information, when there is nothing around me, just this forest?!'
He sighed and than looked at every items description he had.
'First the makeshift quiver.'

'Of course... Now the spears.'

'Is it mocking me or something?'
He took out the crude stone knife.

As far as you know, it is made from stone and it lookes like a knife. It was made by rubbing two stones together. It has a sharp edge, but it has a really bad durrability.
'"As far as I know"? Is it a person who is making these? Also the informations are a lot more than the other stuff had. Though I got all this info from some TV show, but that one part was actually usefull. I did not even looked at how it was made. It was basically grinded with a grinding stone. Huh.'
Last thing was the spear.
Crude spear
Made by goblins, for goblins, of goblins. This spear has a tree as a handle and a goblin bone was used for the head of it. It is well balanced, though a little bit short for you. Still far better than the ones you made.
For some reason he got angry at the last part.
'It is definetly someone making these descriptions! If I find them I'm going to slap them!'
He did not realize, but the one who was making the comments on the stuff was actually his subconscious...
'Sigh... I should look for a place to rest for the night. Also I'm getting really thirsty. All these berries help a little, but I need something more nourishing and some water.'
After a little while he has found a tree he could rest on and climbed on it. He did not realized it, but it was the same tree he rested on in the morning. He made a circle in the forest, just to get to the same point, he started on.

After a comical death he starts a new life in a wonderfull new world. Or not! The new world he was reading and dreaming about was not fantastic, not even good. Strugling for survival against almost everything, he soon learns that he has to adapt, or he will perish.

The little fun was over when Jessica used her wand. The wand shot a blob of water to clean the goblin. And Hagrid was sitting near the track as he wasn't feeling well.



Harry ignored the raged goblin and went to Hagrid. The goblin wasn't pleased as to how all of them treated him, but Harry didn't care about him at all. Jessica altogether ignored him.



Harry placed his tiny hand on Hagrid's huge back and asked, "Hey, are you alright, Hagrid?"



Hagrid waved his huge hand, "I am fine. My head was spinning a little, that's all. Cause, you know, I am not a fan of height." 



Harry was speechless by Hagrid's reply. 




It took five minutes for Hagrid to recover and the goblin to calm down.



They finally went to the vault.



When they reached near the vault, Harry realized that there was no keyhole!




He looked at Jessica, and she looked confused too.




"What lock you are supposed to open?" asked Harry through a soul-link to Jessica.




"I am not sure either. I only know that it requires the members of our family to open with the key, which I got, well, that is what he said," replied Jessica. Harry knew that by 'he' she was referring to Nicolas Flamel. He nodded his head and waited patiently.



"Stand back," said the impatient goblin importantly. If it was within his power, he would definitely throw the giant inside.



All three of them were looking at the door with no keyhole while ignoring the goblin, so he spoke impatiently, "I need to open it, and anyone but Gringotts goblin tried this or stand near them, they would be sucked inside and trapped there, safety measures, until guards do their checking, and trust me when I say it is only once in ten years. You can still try and stand there." The goblin gave a nasty smile.



Harry was studying the door when he heard the goblin, and so he irritably steps back. With every passing moment, Harry was hating this goblin more and more.



Harry could feel the magic oozing from the door, but it was a weird kind of magic that he never had felt.



Harry's magic sense was better than anyone, as he has support from the system, and so he had upgraded the magic sense to the maximum.



He intently stares at the door and the goblin, lest he misses anything.




The goblin moved near the door. He pointed his finger at the door and gently stroked it. The door melted away like it was never there!




Harry was shocked!



There was another reason for his shock too — the notification from the system!

Everyone knows that the goblins have no magic power, but the system says otherwise.



People thought that the goblins were using some kind of mechanism, not magic.



The goblins were no threat without the magic, but this discovery changed everything!



Harry looked at the goblin with a serious face.



Harry knew that goblins had tried to coup many times and they were defeated every time. That led to the rule that only humans could have a wand, and non-humans are not allowed to have a wand if they are found with a wand, then death!



The problem was that Harry didn't know much about goblins than they tried to revolt some times.




So he couldn't come to a conclusion, as he needed more information. He remembered that he was going to school, so it was one more thing to look forward too.



The goblins were dangerous to wizard kind from the beginning, and now, Harry found that they were developing the magic of their own kind, secretly, and deceiving everyone!




Harry smelled a conspiracy here. He knew something was wrong, but without much knowledge and information, he couldn't do much. He couldn't be sure what goblins wanted to do exactly.




The only good thing was that the magic was far weaker than human magic, so that was an upside.




Harry put the thought of 'goblin's magic and their past revolt' aside, as he saw another door, this time with a keyhole, and there was handprint there too.




"All yours," said the goblin, and step back. He looked at the giant nastily the last time and moved to the cart.



Jessica and Harry came forward and Hagrid stood in his potion, behind them.




There was another door there with keyhole and hand imprint in front.




"Maybe you need to put your hand on the door and the key, to open it," suggested Harry, the obvious.




Jessica nodded her head in agreement and placed her hand. The red light passed through her hand and then became green as if it had checked and approved Jessica!



She then opened the door of the vault with the key. She was looking inside.




Harry was looking inside too. 



The inside wasn't as big as Harry had expected. It was just around 1 square foot. At first glance, it looked dark and empty, but Harry knew what to expect from inside, so he looked attentively, and saw a grubby little package wrapped up in brown paper lying on the floor. 




Harry grinned for a moment and went back to normal. He didn't even need to ask the system, as he could feel the magic impulse with his high sensitivity of magic. He knew it was the philosopher's stone! 




Harry's heart was beating faster and faster. He tried to act normal as much as possible. Though he knew Hagrid might not be able to find it, better act along until the end.



"Oh, let me help you with this," offered Harry his help, and bent down to pick it up.



"Hehe, what a gentleman! Thank you, then, " replied Jessica shyly, acting her part well. She had her doubts but she followed Harry's lead.



Harry bent down to pick up the parcel from the floor of the vault. Just before he picked up a package, he took out a fake stone he prepared a long ago and replaced with the original. He placed the original stone in his Spatial Ring just as he had taken out the fake stone.



Harry was so fast with his move that it was a blur, hardly visible, and his body was between everyone's vision and the package, so no one was able to see when Harry made the swap.



Jessica only knew that Harry was up to something, but wasn't clear on the matter.



Harry, with a smile, passed the package with brown colour to Jessica.



Harry was confident that no one could tell it apart from real to fake. One could only found out about its fakeness after three days of using it.



That was enough to prevent Voldemort from getting it. And it was stolen than three days buff would be enough to find the culprit, as he had placed some countermeasures, and something 'special' for the final surprise whoever uses it.




She smiled, and said, "Thank you, gentleman." Harry then gave her a humble bow of a gentleman.



The mission to swap the philosopher's stone and prevent any unnecessary thing in the future was complete.



It wasn't that Harry was being paranoid, but many things had changed about what he had known about the original world, so it was better prepared than sorry.



He restrained from smiling and stood aside as if whatever happening here, he had no interest in it, and he genuinely wanted to help, nothing more.



Jessica took the package without opening and went near Hagrid. "I was told to pass this to you, take it and my mission is done here."


Hagrid too didn't open the package. He put the package in his inner pocket, near his heart, very carefully. He also did the double check.



"Alright, all done. Now let's go to Harry's Vault to take out gold for the shopping," said Hagrid. He walked toward his cart.



Harry and Jessica went toward the second cart. Harry was anticipating what was in the Vault left behind by his parents, and what changes might there have, as lots of things have changed from the future he knew.

Deciding that, this where I'll be making my first kill. I picked up a stone from the ground and Blinked to the nearby tree branch to get a better view.

The goblins I saw, had their characteristic green skin, short height of about 3 feet, read eyes and, pointy nose. Classic goblins.

They were walking in the direction, where I had detected the runes. One on the left side had a wooden club on its shoulders, and the other one was bare handed. Done thinking, I initiated the plan. Let's say, the bare handed goblin is 'Goblin 1' and the one with the club is 'Goblin2'.

Calming my really fast beating heart, I took a deep breath, I was already drenched in sweat but, my mind was completely calm, all thanks to my addiction of stealth based games. I knew, I couldn't wait anymore, given how much I was sweating, they were bound to pick up my scent soon, because that huge nose wasn't just to make them uglier than they already are, I reckoned. 

I initiated Dark Vision, which gave me all the information I needed about, where their blind spots were. After that, I readied myself to throw that stone I picked up earlier, my aim? The head of 'Goblin2'. Done with that, I activated Blink and aimed the exit point at the tree branch 13 meters away, which also happened to be the Goblin1's, eight o'clock.

Once everything was ready, I threw the stone towards 'Goblin 2' and Blinked. By the time the stone connected with the back of 'Goblin2's' head, I had already disappeared from where I was. I didn't put much strength into my throw so, it sustained no injuries. The only thing stone managed to do, was to alert both the goblin's attention towards where I was a second ago.

Turning around, both the goblins started growling and spouting gibberish, while the one who got hit, 'goblin 2' was growling, scratching the back of its head, as its red eyes were darting in their sockets, looking for 'me'.

After looking around and finding no one, they did just what I thought they would. The armed goblin, 'goblin2' went towards the direction I was before, hoping to find 'me' while the 'goblin1' stayed back, watching the armed ones back.

After 'goblin2' walked the distance at which I was confident, that I'll be able to neutralize the unarmed goblin without having 'goblin2' interfering, I blinked towards the back of 'goblin1'. 
When I silently came out of my blink's exit point, at the back of the unarmed goblin 'goblin1', I made a slightly tilted, vertical slash with my short sword, aiming for the unsuspecting head, chopping it's head in two. I closed my eyes instinctively, the moment I made the slash, I felt cutting something followed by the sensation of having something warm and thick splashing on my face, because of my (waterproof) mask, I was spared from swallowing any of that and since, my eyes were closed nothing got into them as well. 

Because of Dark Vision still being active, they were only beings made of orange light, from my perspective, sparing me from seeing the half-brain lying beneath my feet, when I opened my eyes. There was also the matter of armed goblin running towards me in a mad dash.

Next up was a head-on clash, Dark vision has consumed 30% of my mana while, returning 10%, 5 seconds later, bringing me back to 80%, I managed to recover from the following blink so, I was still at 80%. After the last blink, my reserved dropped to 60% and I didn't have 4 seconds to get the 'refund'.

And if I initiated another Blink before 4 seconds, I won't be getting the refund of previous Blink, making my reserves go down by 20%.

Back to the battle, as the armed goblin 'Goblin2' was running towards me, I also got into the sword drawing position and activated blink, aiming it in front of the goblin. By the time I got ready, it was only 4 meters away from and it leaped in air, and I blinked at the same time. When I popped in front of it, it was already in mid-air, with its head reaching my shoulders and the club over its head, ready of a vertical slam.

Once again, instinctively closing my eyes, I made a horizontal slash with all I got and, the goblin was sliced in two from it waist. Because of its forward inertia and me standing in front of it, the goblin fell on me.

Not expecting any of that to happen, I lost my footing and fell on ground with a half split goblin on top of me. When I saw the hate filled eyes of the still twitching goblin, I froze in fear, not only that, by the time I realized what had happened, I was already covered in blood and gore. Panicked, I let go of my sword and pushed the goblin away, and tried to get up in a frenzy but, the ground below me was already covered in blood making it slippery. Succeeding in getting up on my third try, I got away as far as could from the corpse. Hurriedly pulling the mask down I started puking, while my passive skill Vitality kicked in with full force, my eyes were red, with tears coming out of them.
I was scared, panicked, disgusted, cornered and, alone.

Unsteadily channeling my mana into the clothes, the clothes released some sort of force field which pushed all the filth away, making me clean again.

Taking deep breaths I murmured between hiccups and tears "...that…was not supposed to happe... fhu*k…"

It took me around 15 minutes to calm down, still scared and spooked, i went towards the half split goblin to retrieve my sword. I found it lying on the ground covered in blood, near the dead goblin. The heavy metallic sent and the gory sight in middle of which my sword lay, I had thoughts of leaving it there and find myself a new weapon when I reach the city but, I still walked slowly towards it, touching it with my index figure I put it into my inventory and walked away as fast as I could, towards the direction, where I saw runes.

I was around 300 meters away from the runes, when I decided to rest and get myself back together. Sitting below a tree, leaning on its trunk, desperately trying to avoid thinking about, what has happened or, what could've happened, I once again checked my mana reserves which were still at around 60%. 

Since, I had vitality, I recovered in around 30 minutes. Looking above I estimated, it should be around 3 PM. I started walking toward the runes seemingly ready for anything. I was walking slowly toward the runes in a relaxed pace but alert, not to be caught off guard. 

Who knows, what will I see when I reach there. A part of me wanted to turn around and go straight towards the city but, I didn't.

"The whispers gotten loud enough, I need to find a vantage point, and see where exactly those runes are...mmm, this tree will do..." I murmured standing in front of a big tree. I was at my peak physical and mental condition because of the rest and, thank god I was. Because 50 meters ahead of me was a small clearing, with 3 crudely built huts built in the shape of a 'U' and, because of the 'settlements' shape there was a small space in front of the three huts, in which 2 dead humans were tied on a vertical pole.

Like I said, one of my best perks is my ability to easily adapt to any situation, and calmly figure out a way to deal with it.

Seeing the sight I front of me, I was scared and disgusted, but not to the point, I wasn't thinking straight.

The thought of retreating didn't even occurred to me, as I started cooking up a plan to get those runes. It took me 5 minutes to make a complete plan.

[If it worked, I'll get those runes and, whatever it is they have as compensation for my 'mental distresses']. Yeah, maybe I wasn't thinking straight.

After climbing down from the tree, I started looking for two fist sized stones, which didn't took long. Now was the next part of the plan, which was a little scary but, not the scariest.

I started walking toward the goblin settlement, stopping approximately 20 meters away from it, and threw a fist-sized stone towards the settlement. I managed to hit the hut on my right side, damaging it a little, and after 3 seconds, five goblins emerged from the huts. Two of the goblins were holding swords, which they probably looted from those humans and, the other three were holding crude looking clubs. All of them were growling, looking around, spouting gibberish. Seeing, everything was going according to the plan, I threw the 2nd stone while hooping it will hit one of them, unfortunately I didn't, but it did allowed goblins to spot me.

"Alright…you can do this buddy…" cheering myself up, I lifted my right hand up in the air and started waving at them. 

"Hey guys!! Have you seen two runes lying around?" I shouted, as a reply to question, they started running towards me, weapons drawn.

Not expecting, a civilized answer anyway, I waited until they were 5 meters close to me, and activated Blinked.

I Blinked at the tree branch, of the tree at my 11, ten meters away. Seeing I that just 'disappeared', they started searching for me, and well, goblins are dumb creatures, none of them looked behind. If they did, they would've found me entering the hut that was in the middle.

After I reached, that tree's branch, I waited for 2 seconds before blinking in front of that hut, 8 meters away.

As for my reserves? I was all out of mana, but I'll have mana enough for a single blink after 4 seconds. I had my Dark Vision, to pinpoint the exact location of the runes, which happened to be the hut in the middle. 5 seconds after initiating Dark Vision, I got 10% of my mana back, bringing me to 40% and the last 2 Blinks took that as well. The good thing is, I can practically use Blink infinitely in every 5 seconds.

Knowing, for the next 5 seconds, I am pretty much helpless, I hurriedly entered the hut. It was small like, really small, a single look around and I found my runes floating in the air. Seeing them gave me a pause, and they weren't the type of runes I found in the game, they were ethereal looking with white haze around them. The moment I touched them with my left hand, the runes disappeared into the Outsider's Mark, realizing that, these are the runes I'll be dealing with, which will only be visible to me, I started looking around. On the left most corner I found 3 pouches lying on the ground, picking them up, I threw them into the inventory.

It only took me 6 seconds to do all that, peeking outside from the entrance, I saw the goblins were still searching for me, they just split up into 'teams'.

There were no branches thick enough on my left side, but that was the direction for Orario, I had no choice to Blink on the ground, but I still managed to sneakily escape from there.

It was around 7 PM, when I was about to reach city gates. They were just 100 meters away from me. 
I was hungry, thirsty, tired, irritated and to top it all of, I was also have a mild headache. But I was still happy and excited, why wouldn't I be?

From the three pouches I looted from the goblins, I got 3,450 valis, an unknown green potion and, a mana potion which I already took, getting my mana reserves back up to 80%. I knew, when I felt the concentrated mana, that it was a mana potion, 

When I took the mana potion, my mana instantly got regenerated. It could be because of the Outsider's Mark or, God modified my body a bit.

"Whatever it is…I welcome it" I thought at that time.

There weren't many people lining up to enter the city, soon it was my turn.
And I was nervous.

[This is going to be the first conversation I'll have since, I came here!] I thought, while I came in front of a robust man wearing a sky-blue uniform with a spear in hand.

Guard: "okay kid… 1000 V and your ID"

Argus: "I have the money, sir... but not an ID." I said politely.

Guard: "hmm…you see that counter on my right? Go there, you can get a temporary ID issued." He said with a nod.

I went to the counter he pointed at and, saw a middle aged man sitting behind the window. Walking to him, I greeted "Hello sir, my name is Argus and, I need an id issued."

Max: "Good evening, Argus. I'm Max, as for your ID, you'll have to pay 500 V + 1000 V entrance fee, that will be 1500Vs in total, okay?"

Argus: "Okay, here's the money." 

After paying the fees and filling up the form, they gave a document signifying my entry from legal channels.

This ID will need to be renewed every month, until I have something else for an ID from inside the city.

Taking a deep breath, I walked into the city with an excited heart, awaiting a lot of adventures.

Upon a throne of stone sat a goblin king. Mountain of bones and rotting remains lay at his feet, scattered without order. Parts of corpses intertwined with randomly discarded weapons. Currently, four of king's five chins were shaking in delight. The fifth one was just too massive to sway.
He just sunk his teeth into a half-eaten limb. Goblin king's eyes narrowed in bliss. He felt no remorse. For him, there was nothing wrong with appeasing his hunger with the meaty flesh his own subjects. It was an acquired taste. And frankly, an atrocious eating habit did not cause him any harm. Eventually, they reappeared, ready to serve him anew.
Upon a throne of stone sat a lone goblin king. He was alone because he ate all of his goblin knights. His perverse eyes closed slowly.
Not far from where goblin king sat, a boy moved away from the door. Shin crouched and closed his eyes. He did it for the first time since he got transferred to the dungeon. It was one of the rare moments in his life when he decided to slow down and take a break.
He was fatigued. The fights had greatly exhausted his stamina. Of course, the feeling of growth after leveling up was great but he could not endure hostile environment for much longer. The boy was not a bold psychopath. He was bordering the limit of his mental fortitude and couldn't tolerate much more stress. Even though Shin has gone through a lot it did not help him much in the face of constant fear and violent, continuous fights. Despite the fact that his character toughened, he was painfully aware of his weakness.
"Ready."
Warlock opened his eyes only after twenty minutes passed.
The silver doors disappeared when he touched them. Beyond the door, an impenetrable darkness spread. The boy got used to the darkness by now but he still could not see even an inch inside.
Cautious, the boy decided to send the newer one of his undead to scout. The skeleton crossed the threshold and disappeared as if drowning in the dark, deep waters. Shin followed, sensing that skeleton was not attacked the moment it entered.
The fetor of decay attacked Shin's nose as soon as the darkness dispersed. The entrance disappeared, turning into unremarkable part of the stone wall. Torches flared, illuminating the round room. The undead scout was standing next to him, slightly to his left. The skeleton which wielded steel sword entered the room shortly after the boy and stood half a foot behind, securing Shin's right side. In the middle of the room, the source of the vile smell rested. When Shin took a step, something cracked under his heel.
[Encountered a boss.]
Boss is the title given to a powerful enemy standing in the way for the transition to the next act of the story. Boss is a strong foe and, generally speaking, a lot of effort or even group of people is required to deal with it. Usually, such fight is done in an accompaniment of specially composed music. This is to build tension and showcase the fact, that the grand opponent is unusual and one of a kind.
The music, which metaphorically sounded in the heart of Shin, was a sound of notification, spoken with a voice devoid of human emotion.

Old bones he had stepped on. Seeing what skill he obtained, he came to the sudden realization. Shin immediately knew what to do.
The goblin king opened his eyes. He was full and sleepy. He liked to nap after holding a sumptuous feast. Most kings did. Now, that the torches burned brightly, illuminating the room, he had to squint his, accustomed to the dim light, eyes.
Shin laughed like never before. He let out a laughter of a frantic madman and just could not stop. He got down, lying flat on the cold, stone flooring. Skeletons moved forward, shielding him with their bony frames. The boy covered his ears.
Boss did not even have time to be surprised.
[Exoplode]!
Mountain of bones shattered violently, sending fire and debris into the air. The powerful explosion shattered the stone throne. Its fragments flew out like a barrage of deadly bullets, hitting the walls with a series of bangs.
Dust and smoke filled the center of the room. It smelled of burned meat.
Necromancer picked himself up from the ground. The scale of the explosion exceeded his expectations, his ears were ringing. From what he could see, his skeletons were badly damaged. When the air cleared up Shin's eyes widened in disbelief. There stood the goblin king, impassive and unmoved. Smoke rose from all over his armor, but the huge monster stood erect.
"Just fucking die already!"
He cursed. The stay in the dungeon massively influenced his choice of speaking register. However, the waning of culture did not concern him now. The point of interest was how the damned abomination survived. The boy raised his hand, determined to suck the life of the monster up to the very last point.
At this moment, king of the goblins fell forward. Heavy plate armor rang dully, hitting stones. The fat was smoking. The lucky coincidence allowed to score an effortless win against a powerful foe.
Motes of light flew straight into boy's body.

100 points of missing mana detonated the nearby remains. Even shielded by the loyal undead guardians and spreading his body flat on the ground right next to the wall, the necromancer had lost 20 health points. The might of explosion turned out to be too violent to predict. The spell was truly too potent. Most importantly, the goblin king gave Shin a truly royal gift of one thousand experience points.

"This is broken. Way too overpowered. But still, there were just too many bodies to count. Seriously, I wouldn't have expected the skill I exactly needed to appear the moment I actually needed it. Moreover, the voice said that it generated randomly. Lucky me."
He said, putting on his hood. Timely deus ex machina had snapped him back into a good frame of mind and elevated his mood. The young man grinned.
Four glowing, regular octahedrons appeared next to the boss' corpse. However, the boy did not look around for spoils. He was looking for a way out. Despite his efforts, no matter how much he stared at the walls of the round hall, he did not see the exit.
As he was about to come closer to the center of the room and examine it, four red balls of pulsating energy manifested around the body. Next second, four, muscular goblin knights stepped out from within.
The fight lasted half a minute. As soon as the boy noticed that he was dealing with new monsters, he swiftly used [Drain] on the nearest one. His skeletons managed to block the other two opponents. Thus, Shin had to personally deal with two goblin knights at the same time. He got wounded but managed to steal their life to heal himself well enough. Since the new opponents fought much better than normal goblins, the undead lasted only a few moments before once crumbling into bone dust.
After the fourth knight fell lifelessly on the floor, Shin fell right next to him, completely spent. The dungeon taught him to run fast. Experience points entered his body and covered him with the beam of light. He advanced to the fourth level.

The giant Obelisks emerged, shattering the space and global peace alike. Proved to be indestructible they forever changed Earth's scenery, destroying cities, flattering mountains and agitating the seas. Towering upon the land, they bestowed those brave enough to touch their surface with wondrous abilities, granting them the talent to use magic or exert physical prowess far beyond scope of human limits.
Then, monsters appeared. Wreaking havoc on humankind, they massacred men of power and poor alike.
