A working man tackling some twisting situations that unfold in front of him, when he discovers that his wife is in an affair with someone. 
Alex works as the senior hacker in one of the most famous private intelligence agency. His wife Catherine seems to have an affair with a random guy, Steve. Or, that is what it seems to be happening. Alex is a brilliant guy, who faces his problems wisely. He finds that Steve targeted him, by using his wife as a bait.

In any case, he had to bear the consequences of his own decisions.
Steve kept the manul out of sheer stubbornness, but in all honesty, it didn't bother him. He didn't have to make any special arrangements for the manul permission when went out, unlike Li Du, who had to keep the six little ones happy wherever he went.
Li Du didn't understand what market there could be in this small polar town, but he saw Steve and his entourage smiling and eager as if looking forward to a really interesting event.
By the time they got to the area where the fair was taking place, he guessed what it was.
There were crowds on the street, which answered Li Du's unspoken question as to why the city streets were so empty. He knew now that the people were all gathering there.
The middle of the road was full of people who spilled over to both sides of it. The centerpiece of the fair was a group of beautiful young women in pageant dresses.
Steve got out of the car and smiled. "Welcome to the Vorkuta bride fair!"
"So this was your attraction to Vorkuta?"
Steve said, "Yes. Don't you think it's an eye-opening custom?"
Annual bride fairs were a newly established custom in several Russian cities. It was a fun opportunity for young women to show up and parade in their most dazzling attire, hoping to catch the eye of eligible bachelors. 
That sounded a little disconcerting, with the local men flocking from all over the region to ogle the pretty young ladies. To the Western eye, it would seem like a ripe ground for gender discrimination and sexual harassment, but none of the spectators appeared to be bothered. 
The annual event was held in Vorkuta in early May and attracted not only local residents but also people from surrounding towns.
Li Du had read about the local fair in the tour guide he perused on the plane when he was traveling to Vorkuta, but he didn't expect to witness it, so he merely skimmed the paragraphs that mentioned it.
Steve knew he wasn't familiar with this custom, so he told him, "Don't you know? It's the local annual carnival and one of the most colorful events out here in the far north."
Li Du squinted at him and said, "I wasn't aware we were going on a meet-Russian-women tour."
Steve laughed. "Lighten up, Li. We're only having a bit of fun."
Vorkuta was once a penal colony, with poor conditions and poorer families. It was hard for people to get enough to eat, and even harder for them to find a suitable husband for their daughters.
Consequently, the bride fair came into being, and back then it wasn't as benign as it was now.
Every year the local families took their daughters of marriageable age to the fair, where they paraded in their prettiest dresses, desperately hoping to catch a husband. Marriage was the only respectable career for a young woman from a good family, and the pressure to get married quickly and at a very young age was high, as it was almost a matter of survival.
By now, this tradition has changed a lot. Girls were no longer desperate to get married and had other goals such as higher education and career. Nevertheless, Russian women, especially in the provinces, were usually very family-oriented and most of them dreamed of finding a good husband.
The bride fair operated like a fast-moving mill of blind dates, where prospective couples would get to know each other for a few minutes, and had the option to continue the acquaintance if they liked each other.
Of course, like other large-scale events oriented at dating and marriage, the Vorkuta bride fair, too, attracted shady characters and unscrupulous people, who attempted to charge money for introducing shy bachelors to the "best quality" prospective brides. 
With the event being a big tourist attraction, the local administration chose to turn a blind eye to its less savory aspects. 
While it was chilly in Vorkuta in May, brides were mostly clad in skimpy, low-cut dresses of thin, clingy material. Some of the girls were actually wearing real wedding dresses, rented or borrowed from friends. Most of them sported elaborate hairdos and heavy layers of makeup.
Steve elbowed his way in, and Little Ford laughed and said, "Pick and choose, right? If we find a girl we like, we can wave a few hundred-dollar bills in front of her. The weather in the Arctic is cold and it would be nice to have a pretty lady around."
Li Du shook his head. "You go ahead. I'll just look around. If Sophie knew I was here, she would not let me get out of the house anymore."
The Ford brothers sneered at him, "Yo, family man!"
Li Du looked around. In a large measure, the event resembled any open-air market, with people chatting and haggling.
Not long after their arrival, a blonde girl nearby struck up a conversation with a tall young man in an expensive suit with a gold watch on his wrist. She clearly had a knack for spotting rich bachelors and was not going to miss her chance.
Li Du was amazed at the rapidity of the proceedings.
In fact, behind all the fun and smiles, some girls came to the bride fair because their families were poor and their life was too hard. Despite the newly open possibilities for women in the modern era, finding a good husband was still considered the quickest and surest way out of poverty.
However, there was no guarantee that every man who attended the event was honest. Some of them were only interested in fooling around, and others were actually married already.
The event was so popular that people were squeezing through the crowd and elbowing each other. Someone pushed Li Du, and he frowned and said, "Hey, watch your step."
The man paled and pointed at him. "Get lost!" he said. 
Steve stopped Li Du, who was angry, and said, "Let them pass, Li. It seems they're looking for a girl who received an expensive gift from a suitor and ran off with it."
Li Du said, "Ha, that's too bad."
"Either way, it's an interesting event. Maybe in a few years, it will no longer be the same," said Steve.
Li Du kind of hoped so. With the increasing awareness of women's rights, he couldn't help but think that in a generation or two, young women would think it demeaning and degrading to look for a husband this way.
"It's not just about feminism, either. It's actually a lot more serious. The market is increasingly controlled by pimps, giving a cover to prostitution," explained Little Ford.
He pointed out a few transactions to Li Du. Some girls were obviously prostitutes. The suitor would come up to them and after direct inquiry, both sides would exchange a few words. Then the man would give the girl some money, and they would leave together. After a while, the woman would come back and wait for her next client.
There were people who genuinely wanted to find a bride and had the best intentions. Others were looking for a trophy wife or even a short-term companion, thinking money entitled them to anything they felt like having.
Some girls couldn't stand being ogled and sometimes groped that way, and would turn around and leave. 
However, some men would not take no for an answer. Li Du saw a tall girl who was the target of a nasty-looking man. The girl was shaking her head and waving her hands, but the man kept pestering her and even grabbed her arm.
Li Du felt that this was going too far, so he stared at them with a frown, wondering what he had best do. When the bully turned around and found him looking, he shouted angrily, "Hey, yellow dog, go away, I have no bones here!"
When Li Du came to Russia, he found that racial discrimination was a real thing in that country as well, and the attitude towards Chinese people was often worse than in America.


They love gold, and they love silver. Even more so, they love gems that dazzle, like stars across the skies. 
Firearms, jewelleries, and precious metals; A collector’s world will not be complete without antiques.  
Storage auctions, old goods trade, re-estate sales and gold-digging. But the truth is, if one wants to make money, then the supreme way is through searching for the legendary treasures. 
Holding the fort, there’s an ocelot, a wolf, and an Andes condor. At the side, there’s a loyal hound, an irascible ape, and an African honey badger. Who said that you can only rely on humans when treasure hunting?! 

"Your majesty, you should leave her here"
Before leading the way, Uncle Steve looked at Arrora and said. Uncle Steve read the sickening duel challenging scroll himself and he knew already Don took enough displeasures from his family and he didn't want Arrora to hear the contents of the scroll and think less of Don when or if he declines the challenge.
Because someone from master-level facing a great master was nothing but suicide and he didn't want Don to face Prince Jowan in an impulse.
"She's coming"
By any chance King Harold pulled any tricks, Don needed Arrora to be there with him if he didn't want to reveal his true power. Also until now, they had no idea of Arrora's true power either.
And by seeing Don's face, Uncle Steve realized that he wouldn't leave Arrora behind so he could only sigh inside and nod.
"Follow me, your majesty"
The thunder rumbles and downpour became worse by each second as Don and Arrora followed Uncle Steve to the throne hall.
Along the way, Don noticed many leaks in the walls and water drops falling through the ceiling which showed the castle's old age. Unlike Everlight's castle, Don reached the throne hall from his room in just a couple of minutes.
And the moment he entered the hall, he noticed Uncle Steve frowning looking at Kate and Darlene standing beside King Harold in the hall.
Seeing Don, Uncle Steve, and Arrora, Darlene walked towards Don and handed over the scroll to Don. As he opened the scroll, Don noticed the writing similar to a drunk chicken scratch on the scroll and started to read the contents.
While Don was reading the scroll, Arrora noticed everyone in the hall staring at him differently as Kate had a sneer on her face, Darlene looked at Don without taking her gaze away from him while Uncle Steve looked more and more nervous and uneasy for some reason.
Don would have given the man who wrote this scroll a trophy if he's here since any man would have accepted the challenge for duel after reading this scroll. Clearly the Agorians spent enough time thinking many insults, rhyming words, and all kinds of abuses that could make a man's blood boil before writing.
However, Don and Knight had heard and seen worse, much worse than this while they were in the divine continent so the Agorian's effort to make Don accept the challenge was nothing but a waste of their time and Don's.
"I decline"
Kate almost coughed up blood when she saw the calm look on Don's face when he said that even after reading the scroll in front of all the girls.
She expected Don to accept the challenge in rage or at least tear the scroll to pieces before declining yet he looked calm and cool like he didn't care about the insults at all.
Just like Kate, Darlene was shocked too seeing his face. There wasn't even a hint of anger in his eyes. And even though he didn't have a chance at beating Prince Jowan with his cultivation level, Darlene expected some sort of reactions from Don before declining the challenge.
"Aren't you at least a little bit angry?"
Kate couldn't keep her mouth shut seeing Don's calm face as Don handed over the scroll to Uncle Steve and shrugged
"Don't be crazy Kate. Don't you know what'll happen to Don if he met a great master in a battle?"
Arrora knew the great master she meant wasn't anyone but herself and it was clearly a warning to Don if he tried to double-cross her.
Every time Don sees Darlene acting cocky, he could understand that Darlene didn't really want his help because no one would behave like this to a person who is helping her and he couldn't wait to know more about the person or people who are behind Darlene.
"Do you know what this means, King Don?" King Harold asked.
Suddenly a loud sound of explosion reverberated throughout the castle and everyone standing on the throne hall felt the castle ground shaking a bit before Don could answer King Harold.
"What's happening?"
King Harold knew it was not the sound of thunder but the sound of an explosion coming from nearby.
The guards immediately came into the throne hall and formed a defensive formation around everyone especially King Harold and his daughters.
While the guards were standing in their formation, a servant girl drenched in rain rushed into the hall with a panic stricken face.
"Your majesty, Riya...gone"
The servant girl couldn't form a proper sentence even in front of her king in fear and shock as Uncle Steve stepped forward and patted the girl on her head 
"Relax, tell us what happened"
She was still shivering and shaking mostly because of the shock rather than the cold as she took a few moments before answering to Uncle Steve 
"The explosion...it happened in Riya's room, my lord"
"What?! You mean Prince Nikalas's room"
The girl nodded as Uncle Steve's muscles went rigid and felt a sudden coldness hit his core
"Steve!"
King Harold's shout brought back Uncle Steve from his shock as he quickly turned to look at King Harold and 
"Your majesty, she says the explosion happened in Prince Nikalas's room"
Hearing Uncle Steve and looking at the shivering girl, King Harold rushed towards Nikalas's room followed by his guards and the princesses disregarding Don and Arrora who were standing there.
"Let's go and see what's happening"
Don looked at Arrora and followed King Harold with Uncle Steve and the servant girl.
Prince Nikalas's room was located at the far end of the castle near the servants' quarters away from the members of King Harold's family.
To get to Nikalas's room, they had to step out of the castle in the rain and go through the gardens. As they got closer to his room, the smell of burnt wood and smoke started to fill the air. Don could see in the distance that the orange flames were still engulfing the room and surrounding area despite the heavy downpour. The maids, servants, and guards were running around and pouring buckets of water onto the flame to stop it from growing.
"Useless"
Darlene said when she saw the efforts of the maids, servants and the guards as she raised both of her hands towards the fire.
"Aqua blast"
The moment she cast the spell, a huge ball of water formed on her hand as she threw the water ball at the burning building. Aqua blast was much more effective than the downpour and the buckets of water combined as the fire was put out by Darlene's spell with a loud hissing sound.
Since the fire was put down the only light source they had was the lighting but fortunately, some guards arrived with a bunch of torches. Seeing the burnt place nobody could guess how the explosion happened. The old brick walls still stand, blackened around the empty openings that were once doors and windows before the fire.
"Your majesty"
King Harold heard a guard calling him as Uncle Steve rushed towards the source of the voice. The explosion was so powerful as there was no more a distinction between the second floor from the ground floor, except a couple of steel window frames and doorway there was nothing.
While navigating through the ruins, Uncle Steve saw a couple of guards lifting something from the ground but when he stepped closer, he was welcomed by a dreadful scene.
"Prince Nikalas"
The guards were carrying Prince Nikalas or his burnt body with his wheelchair but before Uncle Steve could breathe again, he saw another group of guards carrying a second body then the third body. He could only assume that the small body was Riya, the maid girl and the other one was Vivian since their bodies were completely or mostly burnt. 
"Poor souls"
Uncle Steve never expected that this would happen to these three good people 
"Place them there" he pointed at the empty place away from the burnt portion of the building while Uncle Steve turned back to go to King Harold and tell him the unfortunate news.
"Steve"
Seeing Uncle Steve coming towards him King Harold shouted at him because of the sound of thunder and downpour.
"Your majesty, they are gone. Prince Nikalas, his mother, the servant girl all of them"
"Oh, did you see how the explosion started?"
Don and Arrora were surprised and shocked to see King Harold's reaction to the grave news that Uncle Steve just brought. Not only King Harold, but the princesses too seemed very calm and it was clear to Don by looking at their faces, they couldn't care less about Nikalas or his mother or Riya.
"No, your majesty I didn't"
There was a hint of anger and frustration in Uncle Steve's voice as he said
"That guy might have drawn the wrong rune"
Prince Kate said to King Harrold as he nodded his head
"What a bitch"
Fortunately, the sound of thunder prevented Kate from hearing Arrora but Don did and he thought the same
"Let the guards be on full alert tonight I don't want this to happen to my family"
"He's your family too"
Uncle Steve mumbled under his breath as King Harold shouted at the guard beside him
"I want a full report on what happened here tomorrow. I want to know this happened accidentally or someone did this"
"Well I'm going to bed now" as she said, Kate walked away from the scene with few guards following behind her without even noticing the bodies lying on the ground just a few feet away from her path.
"As far as I can tell, it's them"
After Kate left Princess Darlene went to take a look at the bodies and after a few moments she came back and said
"We should go inside Darlene before you catch a cold"
"They are something else"
Arrora said when she heard King Harold and saw the father-daughter duo leaving the scene without a hint of sadness or remorse on their faces.

This story takes place in a world ruled by the humans after winning the war against the other races and every single race has been hunted down like prey by humans ever since.

However, everything's going to change when another worlder steps into this world with only one goal, to destroy everyone who wronged him in the past.

But no one realized, there's an evil force from ancient times that has already started to wake up and the only hope to win against this evil force is DON.

Laura locked eyes with her again as she brushed her nose with her knuckles. *Sniff* Her eyes slowly went to the door leading into the room and pointed at it. "The same way I know there are 3 men standing outside the door right now." 

Natasha was surprised for a second, but not as surprised as the people hiding outside. The door was opened just a crack and swung fully open as Tony walked through the doors looking at her in amazement. "How did you know?" Laura just shrugged her shoulders. "The nose knows." Tony was skeptical. "Riiiight…"

"Maybe an acute sense of smell due to her mutation…" he started to talk to himself as he went to look at the scans of to the side. While he was doing that, Clint and Steve walked into the room. Clint was still a bit tired having been the person of watch duty just before Natasha. 

*Yawn* "Jarvis notified us when Jane doe here woke up, we came down as fast as we could just in case, but we saw you had everything under control." Laura cut in before he could continue. "Jane Doe has a name. Laura, Laura Kinney"

Clint raised his hands in apology, but sent a look to both Steve and Natasha about the name. Steve spoke their thoughts. "Daughter of Laura Kinney?" Laura was shocked for a second. "How did you…?" She looked around the room she was in again and quickly noticed Tony at the side, looking at medical readings shown on some type of holographic screen. 

Realizing what happened she retreated a bit, putting her guard back up. The others saw her reaction and tried to calm her down before something else happened. "Hey, hey, no need to panic. We only scanned you to see if there were any internal injuries. That's when we found out about your heritage." Steve's words did nothing to assure Laura, she was still on edge, she didn't like people doing tests on her. 

Steve and the rest saw this, but it was Clint that couldn't help but ask. "Who did it? How could someone do that to a child? I want to rip them apart right now!" Clint's voice turned dark as he thought about his own daughters. 

Laura looked at him for a few seconds but said nothing. They might have wanted answers but Laura wasn't going to give them anytime soon. Clint looked at the distrustful gaze and couldn't help but feel more hate towards whoever experimented on her.      

An uneasy tension filled the room, before Laura tried to move the conversation on. Though she may not be as trustful of the 'heroes' before her anymore, she knew it was par the course. They didn't seem to hold any nefarious ideas towards her, or wish her harm. 

But she still wouldn't talk about her past with them. "So when are we going to find Peter." Addressing Natasha, the red head looked at her for another few seconds before responding. "We'll go and look for him…" *Growl* She didn't get to finish as the sudden noise filled the room.
 
Everyone looked at Laura as she turned red in embarrassment. Looking down at her stomach in accusation she didn't look any of them in the eye anymore. The Avengers cracked small smiles at the situation before Steve got them moving. 

"We'll look for him after we've got you some food young lady." Laura gave a bit of a stiff nod, before they all left to the common room. It was almost lunch time. After they were done they would get to finding Peter, with the one lead they had.

(Xavier Mansion)

Delicate hands slowly reached for the metal helmet on her head before dragging it off. A smile blossomed on her lips as she got up from her seat and turned to Charles and Logan behind her. "I've found her professor; whatever was shielding her has suddenly retracted."

Charles looked up a Jean as she delivered the news, her excitement was clear to see. Logan next to him gave a clear nod, raring to go find Laura as well. Seeing the small flicker of red in her eyes, as she looked at him, still created a small sense of doubt in his mind, but he shook it off. 

"Good, Wolverine after lunch I want the main team gathered and ready to go. I'll be coming with you guys this time, I have a feeling that something is going to happen on this mission." Wolverine gave a nod as he stood behind Charles and began to push him towards the exit. 

Jean started to follow behind them, a small spring in her step. "Jean, please have something to eat before we leave for the mission today, though whatever was hiding her has disappeared, if it comes back while looking for her we will be relying on you."

Jean gave a nod just as they reach the elevator to the main floor. "Yes professor. I'll go get my gear ready now!" Before Charles could say anything else Jean sprinted off into a different corridor and was out of sight in seconds.

Charles still had a frown on his face as he watched her leave, something Logan took note of. "Something wrong Chuck?" Charles looked at his friend and could only shake his head. "I don't know my friend, I don't know."   

Getting into the elevator Logan reassured him. "Don't worry, me, Hank, Ororo and even that dick Gambit will protect the kids." "Logan language." Charles reprimanded him in good humor as Logan just shrugged his shoulders. 

 As the elevator reached the ground floor and they rolled out, heading for the headmasters room, Charles spoke his worries again. "I know that Logan, but something is coming on the horizon, something big and dangerous. I can't tell what it is, but we will have to be ready."

Logan rolled his eyes at the foreboding in his words. In his eyes whatever was to come, the x-men would take it down, if not them then other super heroes, more and more had been popping up recently. The rest of the trip was spent in silence. Once Logan dropped Charles off in his office he had to go inform the others that they had a mission.

Peter Parker, Spider-Man has lost it all. All he has left is his Duty. He will protect the city, till his dying breath.

Peter Parker has lost it all, his home, his aunt, and his friends. All he has left is his duty to the city, his presence keeping crime at bay. 
A few months after the battle of New York, Peter gets by living on the streets. His only friend a red haired woman named Natasha. 
With people from his past turning up, new Super Heroes appearing everywhere and mutants on the rise, will his life continue to spiral out of control? Or will something turn him around and make him the man he always was?

I’m writing this novel for fun so there is no release schedule. All chapters will fluctuate in length depending on many factors. I am writing an original for my main story and this is just a side project so there is no overarching plot going forwards just an imagination of the marvel landscape with different changes. 

This novel will follow the MCU timeline with changes such as the introduction of greater marvel characters and groups, fluctuation in ages, and comic alterations.

I hope you enjoy this re-imagining.

In the deep dark void was there to figures wrapped in a vast whiteness. 

A masculine silhouette and a femini

"It's good to see you again," whispered a deep, gruff, masculine voice.

"En," replied a soft, meek yet commanding voice.

The man was tall, close to 1.8m tall, with black crew cut hair that was white at the temple and streaked horizontally. He was wearing what navy blue Tibetan monk robes with bandaged straps on his wrists and just above the ankles and 10cm (±4 inches) below the knee. He had a long crimson-scarlet cloak with a standing collar long enoung to stretch from just the sole of his shaolin monk martial arts boots to the halfway mark up the back of his hand. The most peculiar thing is that he had this eye-like amulet hanging around his neck that draped down to chest below his chest from a chain. All in all he looked like a... A.... I dunno... A mage? Wizard? Sorcerer? Anyway he had a stoic expression that immediately melted when his gaze landed on the woman.

The woman on the other hand was what we would call mesmerizing. He figure was tall, she was just shy of 1.7m, and lean. Her skin firm yet soft. She had a black full-body leotard as the base of her costume? On top she had golden gladiatrix boots, what appeared to be a golden wrestling title? Over he abdominal area with a glowing golden orb in the center. The leotard emphasized her mighty bosom. She had a thick golden necklace from which a mighty golden ankh hung. Her face would be mesmerizing! You're probably wondering why "would be" rigtt? Well that's because she had a golden Roman-gladiator styled mask-helmet with no openings except for the eyes. The eyes which you could not see – all there was whitish-gold light shining from them. The light was endless but it felt like it could see through your soul. 

These two beings could be said to be of the most powerful in most omniverses, they, however, choose to hide their power because their job requires them to look after their designated zones. And due to these designations they are restricted to how much power they can exert and even when the threat is big enough that it requires more power for them them to exert they need to manipulate events and other beings jn order to counter the threat because they are that powerful. 

And after more than a millennium's worth of millenia their horrific schedules of saving and protecting and keeping order they found time to see each other again. 

"Oh my dear Steve, how I missed you!" sobbed the woman with a quivering voice.
"I've missed you dearly too, my little mother of backwards-magic. Haha!" the man's voice boomed into the deep abyss. The man moved to hold the woman but she slightly resisted. The man gazed into her eyes? Light? Nevermind! The point is he grabbed her firmly and with movements so slow that a snail that could overlap him a couple hundred times but that's irrelevant because it seemed as if space and time were removed from his path and slowly but surely removed the mask-helmet. Showing the women's goddess-shaming face in all her glory. Whom does she look like?... Well that's for another time. 

They stood there silently in each other's tender embrace. When the women finally looked up she gazed into the mans storm-gray eyes and spoke, "I need you Steve. Even for people as powerful as us, a thousand's worth of thousands is long a time for us. And that's how long we've been separated! Do you realize that?! Do you?! Do you?!" The woman questioned with an unsteady voice but a firm tone. 

The man responded with a gentle tone," of course I do. Did you forget that I also missed you? And I need you too so for the next century we're going to be together every second of every minute of every hour of every day for 36500 days (excluding leap years👀). And so 90 years past and the man and women were lying in a bed with nothing but a thin silk blanket that separated their name forms from the external environment. The woman got up to got the bathroom to go freshen up before moving to the kitchen in the  to make breakfast. 

As she got to the bathroom her magic fluctuated distorting the vast whiteness and ripples through the deep black void. The man appeared from nowhere and caught the stumbling woman.. "Are you okay?! The man asked with a voice oozing anxiousness solemnity. The woman gave him a weak smile and closed her eyes. After half a minute she opened them and whispered something. 

"What was that? What did you say?" The man struggled to keep calm. The women spoke again – a little louder but still inaudible. 

"I still didn't hear you! What is it? Did one your zones get attacked? Destroyed? What is it?" The man was getting frustrated now. The woman in her own frustration due to the man's constant nagging screamed:

"I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!" 

"Wait! What?!" the man was stunned and only after a minute of blankness did he recover and looked at her and picked her up screaming, "I'm going to be dad! Woo-hoo!!!!"

He started pampering her even more after this.

9 centuries later on a planet far far away, was a man that was preaching up and down outside what appeared to be a hospital room. Inside you could hear inhuman screams and another voice saying, "Push! Push! And last one!"
"AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!"
After that last horrific scream a nurse came out and called him in.

Inside were people dressed in greenish turquoise outfits. The man's once panicked expression faded away and soon became one of love and care when his gaze landed on the women and the child, his child, THEIR child, in her arms. She was slowly rocking him back and forth. "What are you name him?" The doctor asked them whilst staring at the couple.
The man gazed at the woman and she stared back as well. She slowly nodded.

"He's shall be: Faust Xenos!"
"It's a lovely name my dear. Hi there little Fausty! Hi there!" The baby stared at his mother with eyes the gleamed with intelligence as she spoke childishly to him.

"Thank you everyone for your assistance but we must be on our way," the man gazed around him and gave a slight nodd and before the doctor and nurses could realise what was happening the couple along with their new born child vanished with the memories of them. Only a feeling of accomplishment inside them.

As soon as they arrived both of their expressions turned but melted as they saw their minutes old son trying to imitate their expressions. They gave a little laugh but once again turned solemn.

"This poor child. One who was not supposed to exist. Due to us being his parents he is highly intelligent. I checked now he is as intelligent as a toddler but can't speak due to undeveloped vocal chords he can't speak or else in sure we'd have a full blown conversation with him. By the time he's 5 he's IQ will be over 9000," as the man spoke the women interrupted him,

" But with such a high IQ doesn't that mean–"
"Fear not my lovely. Due to our powers, our domains per say of Protection, Order and the Mystic Arts and Balance he's EQ will match he's IQ. Perfect right?"

"That's a relief, and if it's like that I expect a lot of daughters-in-law and grandkids alright? But for the main problem..."

There was a long and deafening amount silence. After a couple of minutes of this silence the spoke, "We can't raise him or he'd die within a matter of days. We have enemies far more powerful than these foolish readers can imagine."

"I agree with you but what can we do?!" The women replied with all the anxiousness in the unknown universe. 

The man responded stoically, "I know this is going to hurt but we need to send him away so he can grow and become strong enough to protect himself and those he loves. But where to? I don't know!" 

"I think I do. I say we send him to that wizarding world with all those schools. He could build a foundation there for he was magic and gradually make his way to us." 

"Perfect! We could send him to a family of ascendants that live there! This is great but we must not dawdle. We must send him away now before *They* get wind of this." 

"En. Let us begin." 

They started chanting in indistinguishable languages and this carried on for a good few minutes. 

"Be good my boy! Grow up strong and come find us when you're ready! And don't worry about the family you're going to, I've already contacted them. They'll take good care of you!" The man's voice boomed as the Cosmos was warping around the baby boy. 

"Be safe my little Fausty! Bring lots of daughters-in-law when you see me! I expect lots of grandkids! You here?! Don't over do it okay? Now we've both left you some things that you'll discover along the way! Now go my liitle boy! Go and become the Greatest there ever was!"

And with that the Cosmos warped completely around the baby boy and he vanished in a flash!

Anna: I know that's why I have been leaving these two alone since some days to spend some time together. I mean Yush I can see it he really does care about her.

Kiara: Ya, but with Rose's shy nature it can be a little difficult.

Saira was getting more overwhelmed with how Phillip had been behaving. Phillip badly wanted to make her forget everything that is why he was showering her with lots of love. Saira was getting dressed for her date, Phillip had asked her to have a lunch date along with him in a nearby cafe.

She sweeped her hair at the back and entered the room.

She saw a tall bald man standing in front of her. She couldn't believe it she expected a really handsome man but anyways.

She forwarded her hand.

Anna: Hi I'm Anna Josh.

" Hello, I am Steve Harvey, Reyansh Roy's personal bodyguard here's sir "

Anna: Huhhh...

A man was sitted on the chair but was facing the windows, when he turned himself.

Anna gasped, her eyeballs could have pop out. This guy was beyond handsome, he did look familiar but his face was so perfect.

"Hi Reyansh Roy"

Anna composed herself, she felt just like a person who was going to cheat on her diet, she doesn't care if he has had multiple flings but she was going to attain him.

Anna: Hi, Anna here.

Reyash: Please have a seat, Steve step out for a second..... So, Miss Anna I have met your brother and he told me that you are a professional tech expert. I have some issues, I don't demand qualifications only if you manage to see who has been hacking my systems.

Anna: Uhmm Ok.. right now

Reyansh: Yeah.

Anna: Ok, so give me your laptop, your username,email address,passwords, phone number basically all your personal informations.

Reyansh: Ok, if you manage to do it, you will be employed .

Anna: Ya, cool

Reyansh narrowed his eyes, he as if didn't trust the girl's capacity, she seemed too childish. Anna sat in the sofa and within seconds, she managed to find the people who hacked Reyansh's social media and everything. She was shocked to find out that her rumoured girlfriend, the famous actress Illeana Lane was actually not his girlfriend but was published on the net by some people. Well, she was happy this eye candy was single. She breathed heavily.

Finally, in the evening Ryan returned home and found his wife in the living room along with her parents and a face he could never forget.

Mr and Mrs Jind had just arrived and had brought along Sigan Kins. 

Mrs Jind: Kiara, we want to talk to you.

Kiara: Ya mom...

Mrs Jind: You do know that you are adopted.

Kiara: Ya but after such a long time, why are you...

After listening to everything..

A hush fell among the guests as they eagerly watched the confrontation between lady Titanna, Lord Taron, and Lord Deflin. Some of the guests started to form up behind Lord Taron and Lord Deflin, clearly showing their stance towards House Rothschild while others did the same for Lady Titanna. 

Her female friends, Lady Sophia, Lady Grace, and the young Lady Rosette from House Iris quickly gathered around her, standing by her side to show their support.

Soon the Great Hall was divided into three groups, one group lead by Lady Titanna, another group by Lord Taron and Lord Deflin and the last group consisted of neutral parties.

"If there is any lapse in my manners, I apologized," Titanna gracefully gave a curtsy. "I hope this does not strain the relationship between our Houses."

"Hmph!" Veins could be seen popping up from Lord Taron's forehead. "You are too kind, my Lady!" 

"We have some matters of great importance!" Lord Taron hissed. "We shall take our leave first!"

"In such a hurry to leave?" Lady Titanna purposely stood before him and blocked his way. "The party just barely started!"

"Enough!" Lord Deflin said from the side. "You are good... You have achieved your goals! We will not stay here any longer!"

With that Lord Deflin, leading his son, pushed through Titanna's supporters and left the Great Hall with Lord Taron and his son following behind. The rest of their supporters followed along, casting looks of disdain at the rest. 

Lady Sophia next to Titanna asked in a low voice, "What happened that riled them up so badly?"

"Hehe," Titanna giggled. "I just dealt a big blow to their businesses!"

Lady Grace turned towards the window and whispered, "You meant those fires...?"

Titanna nodded, "Don't say a word of this to anyone, our fight has just begun!"

Mills slowly leaned back and placed his rifle on safe from the hidden alcove on the second floor as the other faction left the Great Hall as an angry mob. He left out a sigh of relief as he watched Titanna giggle away with her lady friends, admiring her looks.

"Damn it, Mills," Mills spoke to himself. "You are a Marine! She's some kind of noble on an alien planet!"

"Fuck... what should I do?"

Lord Taron sat in silence as he pondered on his options while his son watched the glowing city in the distance. "Did they really burn down our warehouses and businesses?" Daniel asked. 

"It will appear so," Lord Taron growled. "Not only that, they attacked our Estate! Both the brothers were taken away!"

"What?" Daniel's eyes widened in shock. "How did they managed to do that? Our guards?"

"Bah! They are useless!" Lord Taron hissed. "No one even knew till the servants found the guards in the guest wing unconscious and everyone in the Rothschild brothers' room was knocked out!"

"How could it be?" Daniel sucked in a breathe. "Our household guards are almost on par with the Knights of Silver! Where did they get people more powerful than our guards?"

"This is an important matter!" Lord Taron said. "Go investigate it with all haste!"

"How about the matter of our properties?" Daniel asked. "What should we do?"

"Wait till we return to our Estate!" Lord Taron said. "I wonder why did no one come to inform us till... so late! They must have planned all these for quite some time ago!"

"And our men?" Daniel asked. "If they hit our stores, how will we feed our troops if we bring them into the city now? And where could we shelter them?"

"Put that off, for now, let the men continue to camp outside," Lord Taron said. "We find out what our losses are and also what losses did House Deflin suffered. Then we make new plans!"

"Yes, Father!"

Lord Deflin was in a similar state of mind as he rode in his own private carriage with his son. "That little upstart girl has played us well!"

"Father, why not we just kidnap her and force her into a marriage with me?" Steve Deflin said with a lustful look in his eyes. "Once she is married to our family, we can control the two Rothschild brothers with ease!"

"Impossible!" Lord Deflin brushed off his words. "She would rather take her life than be tied to our family!"

"If we do not try how will we know?" Steve said. "So what if she destroyed our warehouses and businesses?"

"If she is in our hands," Steve continued. "None of all these will matter! We don't even need to bring troops into the city! We can control everything if she is in our hands!"

"That is true..." Lord Deflin said. "But getting close to her is very hard, especially after that attempt on her life!"

"There are ways to lure her out," Steve smiled. "Don't she have her good friends?"

"You mean to take her friends as hostages" Lord Deflin's eyes narrowed in thought. "But... we will offend the Lesser Houses..."

"Ha, those low born Houses!" Steve waved his hand in a dismissal gesture. "What can they do to us once we hold all the power in the city?"

"Even the Emperor will ignore our schemes as long the tributes and slaves to the Capital continued without an issue!" Steve said. "And with the army in our pocket, what can the small time Houses do? We can easily crush them with a snap of our fingers!"

"Let us see what is the extent of the damage to our House before we decide on that!" Lord Deflin declared. 

"Yes, Father!"

House Rothschild

Several black painted carriages pulled by angry land dragons rolled up into the side gate and stopped at the marshaling yard with a screech of wood and metal. Dozens of riders accompanying the carriages came to a halt as well and the men unmounted. The doors to the carriages were opened and hooded and tied men and women were dragged out from the carriages and dragged off into a dungeon.

The blind and gagged prisoners could only stumble and cry in their gags as they were roughly dragged into cells before their restraints were removed. Cries of injustice and declares of innocence echoed after the departing soldiers who slammed shut the thick wrought iron gates of the dimly lit dungeons.

Tyrier jerked his head at the two bodies dumped on the side of a stone guardhouse and said, "I got the two brothers. Both sleeping like babies."

Knight Captain Judis nodded tiredly as he rubbed his soot covered face. " Great work!"

"Put them in separate cells," He ordered his men who carried the two brothers away. "Keep them away from the rest of the prisoners!"

"Hard night?" Tyrier eyed Judis's appearance. "You look like shit!"

"Look like shit?" Judis looked down on himself and frowned at the phase. "You mean I look bad?"

"Yea, something like that... " Tyrier grinned. "Got everyone on the list?"

Judis nodded. "Some resisted and we kill them. Cost me two men and several others wounded... You?"

"Bah... Like taking candy from a baby!" Tyrier boasted. "We went in without a sound, knocked out the guards. Found them both in some kind of orgy... knocked everyone out and grabbed them both without alerting anyone."

"Very nice," Judis nodded in appreciation. "Say, do you want to work for me instead of this... United Nations Empire?"

"Haha, thanks for the offer," Tyrier smiled. "But no thank you. We are after still enemies, even your Lady is allied to us for now."

"Such a pity," Judis sighed. "Even if I offer all the power, gold, and even land if you join me?"

Tyrier shook his head. "There are somethings that I can't give in to, especially when it's your Empire which destroyed my home and made my family slaves."

"I see," Judis nodded in understanding. "Than we shall not speak of it anymore."

"Well, then, if that is all, I will leave with my men to rest," Tyrier said. "Good luck with your enemies! After what has been done tonight, I assure you, all bets are off!"

Judis watched the strange soldiers packed up their gear and walked off towards the guest wing and frowned wondering how long will they be House Rothschild's 'friends'.

"Judis!" Titanna suddenly appeared with several guards in tow. "How is everything?"

Judis smiled at the pretty sight of Titanna in her ballroom dress. "We managed to get almost everyone on the list. There were some deaths but we should have dealt a heavy blow to House Taron and House Deflin and their allies tonight!"

"Good!" Titanna's eyes glowed fiercely under the light of the lamps. "And my brothers?"

Judis gestured towards the dungeon entrance. "We placed them inside private cells. They are still knocked out."

Titanna nodded. "Inform me when they have woken up!"

"Yes my Lady!" Judis gave a bow. 

"Good job," Titanna patted Judis's shoulder. "Thank you for your hard work!"

As the rising sun rays cast its light over the city, the night's destruction of several businesses and warehouses became more apparent in the morning. Charred structural skeletons stood out among other standing structures. 

Dozens of figures could be seen poking around the ruins either trying to salvage or discover something useful or clues of how the fire started. Soldiers bearing House Taron and House Deflin crests stood grim faced as they shooed away any curious gawkers. 

Lord Taron and Lord Deflin stood on the pier where they looked at the remains of one of their trade barges which laid half sunken on its moorings. "She is really vicious." 

Lord Taron nodded at his counterpart's statement. "My House had six warehouses burnt down with four months of supply and fourteen thousand gold crowns worth of trade goods destroyed."

"That is not counting the buildings and compensations loses," Lord Taron said. "And also on the damages from your side and our allies! She even had both her brothers taken away under my nose!"

Lord Deflin's expression was ugly as he turned to Lord Taron. "We lost a couple of trade ships, two warehouses, and several businesses..."

"We have to delay the moving of our forces into the city," Lord Deflin declared. "Without adequate supplies to feed the men, our chances of success has dropped quite a lot."

"How did she know which warehouses and businesses to target?" Lord Taron said. "We underestimated her abilities."

"Yes, we did," Lord Deflin said. "Well, take it as a learning lesson. I suspect that it is due to the help of the Lesser Houses since most of them deal with food merchants."

"What is your plan now?" Lord Taron asked. "We can't let something like this go..."

"Hmmm... I propose we take care of the Lesser Houses that support her first, to weaken her powers," Lord Deflin said which an evil gleam in his eyes. "Scare the rest of the Lesser Houses. See if they still dare to stand against us!"

Lord Taron nodded, "Yes, we should have done that at the start."

"Especially target House Canda and House Westlake," Lord Deflin said. "I heard the daughters of Canda and Westlake are good friends with her. Take them hostage."

Lord Taron smiled. "Of course."

"Without the two Rothschild brothers... we lost our chess piece..." Lord Taron added. "We should find them and 'rescue' them from her tyranny!"

Lord Deflin smiled. "Well, my son has this idea, if we hold her friends and loved ones in hostage, we can force to into a marriage with my son. This way, we can control the Rothschilds!"

"Marriage?" Lord Taron frowned. "It will not be easy to make her accept such a proposal!"

"I know, that is why we must find her weakness," Lord Deflin said. "We start with her close friends and loved ones first!"

"That sounds like a plan too," Lord Taron nodded before giving a sly smile. "But does your son have to be the one to be married to her? My son can sacrifice himself to take the burden away from you..."

"Haha!" Lord Deflin laughed. "You old forgey! Don't you dare steal such a position from my son! Hahaha!"

"Well, it doesn't really matter who she marries! As long she marries into one of our Houses! Hahahaha!"

~ Reno, White family villa ~
Elanor and Oscar are back home. They spent few days in Los Angeles with Jeff and JoAnna, giving them initial information about the world they will be exposed to. 
They are happy how the things went. Both Jeff and JoAnna listened carefully and took the situation seriously. 
On their flight back to Reno, Elanor and Oscar concluded that their successors are mature and ready for their new roles. They both believe that it will not take long until they complete their knowledge transfer. When that is done, they can take some well-deserved long worry-free vacation, or at least that is their plan.

Elanor entered study room and found Oscar frowning at his computer monitor. 
She stopped in her tracks. "Work?" If he is busy with work, she will give him privacy. That is how it always was between two of them, unless he calls Elanor to provide her opinion.
"No." Oscar sighed and Elanor resumed her steps toward him.
She stood behind him and started massaging his shoulders while her eyes landed on the monitor. "You are going through the guest list for the wedding? Again?"
Oscar took a deep breath. "I can't help regretting sending invitations to some of these. The kids won't be able to enjoy… not with these people in attendance. They will be surrounded by wolves."
Elanor was always touched when Oscar openly showed care for their kids with his words. It was a rare thing, and it told her that he is concerned. "We talked about this. They all know that Jeffrey will take over your position. If we don't invite them, it will be seen as a sign of weakness… and we don't want Jeffrey to start with people thinking of him as weak. By doing it like this, we are showing everyone that he is not afraid and that we believe in him."
Oscar had to admit that she is right. This is work, more than work and they need to make their moves carefully. "I know, I know… We talked about this… But Wrights? Morgans? Both of those families are ready to kill to have their daughters be the next Madam. They prepared their girls since birth for that role, and now it's gone… I'm concerned for Anna."
"Anna can take care of herself. Jeffrey will not leave her side and her sisters will be there as well. Don't forget that besides our people we will also have Stella's people and Edward is monitoring communication and movements of all these… wolves. On top of that, kids are doing their own preparations. Anna told me that Sarah has drones ready and based on Anna's description, they are impressive." Elanor moved to stand next to Oscar, so that she can see his face. 
"These people…", she gestured toward the screen. "…will not make their move during wedding. Based on their behavior so far, their movements will be limited to investigation, and possibly networking. But not attacking."
Oscar nodded in understanding. If anyone can predict people's behavior, that is his wife. People don't call her the best strategist of White family for no reason. 
He wanted to hear more. "When do you think they will make their move?"
"After the wedding." Elanor was confident. "Most of them realized that Jeffrey seriously found his future wife only when they received invitations for the wedding. After all, he coldly rejected all those girls for such a long time that when they read about Jeffrey and a mystery girl in the newspapers few months back, they dismissed it as falsehood. There is more than 90% chance they will make their move during the event where we introduce Anna as next Madam. By then, they will have time to come up with some schemes. Edward will need to keep a close watch on them."
"How about Marcus?" Oscar is concerned that his older brother, Marcus, might stir up trouble. It would not be the first time. There is a reason why two of them are estranged.
"Your brother? You think he will try something? It's more than a decade how he didn't cause any trouble." 
Elanor thought that since they didn't hear from him for about five years, he will probably not come to the wedding. 
Both Oscar and Elanor were surprised when Marcus RSVP'd as a 'yes' for four people which means he is coming with his current wife and two kids. Marcus remarried few times, and always had few mistresses on the side. Since they are not keeping in touch, Oscar and Elanor are not sure if this wife is a fourth or a fifth one.
Oscar was troubled. He always found it difficult to talk about Marcus. "We know that he is accumulating support… and he never forgave father that he gave me the title of the Master of White family."
Elanor exhaled. "Marcus got what he deserved due to his incompetence. I will not allow you to feel like you owe him anything."
Oscar held Elanor's hand and squeezed it lightly. "I'm also concerned about his kids. They were always… ambitious."
"What Lukas and Samara have is incurable. Besides ambition, they are filled with recklessness and lack of common reason. But maybe they changed. We didn't see them in a long time."
Oscar pulled Elanor to sit in his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and put his chin on her shoulder, burying his face in her hair. 
"Thank you…", he whispered.
After some time, they moved to the sofa, and Elanor asked. "You spent few hours with Steve, did you come to a conclusion?"
"He is a good boy."
"But?" Elanor didn't miss that there is more to it.
"He is a Long." Oscar's explanation was short.
"You see that as a problem?"
"Soon, Jeffrey will not be able to separate his current responsibilities from new ones. He needs to have trustworthy people by his side. I'm not confident that having someone from Long family close by is a wise choice." Oscar saw Elanor's troubled expression and added. "I shared my opinion with Jeffrey as well as details related to the past dealings and connections we have with the Longs. Final decision about that boy is left to Jeffrey."
After a short pause, Oscar asked: "How about you? Did you evaluate Anna's assistant?"
"I spoke with the girl. She is very sweet. Did you know that she is Felix's sister?"
Oscar looked at Elanor while waiting for her to get to the point.
Elanor frowned slightly before continuing: "She is a very innocent child. I don't think she can be someone who can stand next to Madam. I shared my observation with Anna, but it seems that Anna likes the girl."
"On the other side, Steve and that girl are dating. And it seems serious, they are living together." Oscar reminded Elanor.
Elanor had to agree that this is not a small point. "Yes. Them being together will strengthen the loyalty, and they can support each other. But one is a Long and other is not mentally strong for what is coming. Do you think that two wrongs can make it right?"
Oscar always loved to hear Elanor's analysis of the situation. 
He shook his head indicating that he can't make that call. "That is up to Jeffrey and Anna to decide. Everything can be learned, but integrity is ingrained in the person while loyalty is directed toward someone specific. Our kids will need to decide if they trust these people or not, because that will mean that they are entrusting them with their lives."

"Destiny?" Aiden didn't expect such a question. 
"Yes. The thing that is meant to happen, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. And when it does happen, everything feels right." 
"Why would you ask me such a thing?" 
"Until few weeks ago I would say that there is no such thing as destiny. That we are all masters of our lives and that everything depends on our actions, or lack of it. But I can't help but wonder: why did I not push you away? ... Why does it feel like everything will be OK as long as we are together? ... You are a piece of me that I never knew was missing. Is this destiny?" 
"Mmm... if that is destiny, then I approve it.", Aiden lightly kissed Sarah's shoulder and rested his chin on it.
