The earth has become a beautiful and deadly paradice because of the cruel acts of humanity. The earth has unleash natural disasters that wiped out more than half of humanity and changing the landscapes in a matter of seconds. After the entire catastrophe the earth unleashed a mutagen that evolved the animal in to a primal and savage state, even dormant genes were activated and hybrid creature were born. The mutagen also evolved humans and gave us a special ability "absorb". With technology and mechanisms renderd useless outside safe zones , we were resorted to using more primitive ways to defend ourself from the creatures outside. And thus begins the path to evolution.

They day after The Colonel's Convoy settled into the university. A blizzard of an unworldly making set in. Gathered on the main floor, Bayek addressed the convoy once more before taking on his scientific endeavors for the winter. "We made it, Ladies and gentlemen, we made it. This will be the first winters of many. All of us here are mostly military, other civilians before this all started. With that being said. I want everyone to get with Emma, April, and Miranda. Tell them your job, any skills you feel will be beneficial to this company. From their duties will be assigned. 

You can eat, drink, and kickback all you want. But you will carry your weight. All children of school age will continue their schooling. At least things that will need to be learned in order to keep us going. They will spend each day of the week except weekends, learning about the different jobs assigned around the company.  "

Bayek took a long breath and looked over the company observing their reactions. Everyone seemed intent on pulling their weight. And showed expressions of conviction. Nodding his in approval Bayek continued 

"Evolved people will spend this winter with me on the top floor, for research. After jobs are assigned, we will start forming teams and then everyone will be subject to more physical training.  PT or die. But I won't be the one to kill you, those walkers outside will. Finally. Every Monday will be posting task on the board in the main hall. It will have things that the company needs, and things that are needed to prepare for departure in spring, today is now November 13, 2010. So, relax, do your jobs and enjoy your stay at the University resort" 

Finished with his address the building echoed with shouts "Kill! Rah!" civilians gave a round of applause with smiles on their faces. They could be in worse situations. But the Colonel made sure they had shelter before they froze to death. It was the third time head saved their necks and the people appreciated it.

The company began forming to lines. One for military personal and another full of civilians, to report their occupations and skills. Bayek and April took a walk through the building. It had three floors all together. The first floor consisted of 6 lecture halls and 4 small classrooms; the first floor was also attached to a Starbucks. The second floor had a common area, 6 laboratories and 2 chemical and equipment lockups, along with the staff offices.  It was an identical set up on the third floor as it was on the second. More than enough supplies for Bayek to conduct research. 

During their stroll, April and Bayek talked about their food supply, Medicine, ammunition, clothes, and more.  They decided to wait until the blizzard killed over and to ration supplies for the time being. Looking at a map of the surrounding area. 
"So how do you want to handle this?" April asked him




"I'm going to leave it up to you, just make sure you check that Starbucks for coffee. I 'll call for you when I'm ready for the evolved. Make sure that the power is directed towards the heater and light out at 9 to save fuel. You got this?" Bayek asked

"Of course, you just find a way to kill those things."


The winter went buy in relative peace, Teams went out and gathered supplies from the surrounding are to prepare for war season. Most of the walkers were frozen stiff during the winter. And the world had shown another face. The harshest winter anyone had experienced was upon them. It was like the Siberian tundra outside , But the company soldiered on. 

Archery and hand to hand combat was taught to everyone. Civilians had to become fighters. And the kids were taught to load magazine, engineering, first aid, and other things that were crucial to the survival of the entire company. With a routine in place, everyone started to feel a lot more comfortable in the university.

Bayek him self like the change, the company was turning into 100 percent fighting force. And the best part was that the more they trained the more their bodily limits increased making it hard to achieve evolution, but when they did, it would produce phenomenal results.

Bayek spent his days in the lab, Reading and studying. Testing the evolved and normal humans. With the body of a variant and the cocoon of an evolved. Bayek pretty much had all he need for his initial research. Days turned to weeks and weeks to months. Bayek spent his time shut in the lab. He had come to the conclusion that the suppressed DNA activated after the sudden increase of environmental pressure. It was like, evolution on steroids. The next question was how to induce the DNA activation without the need to fight a horde.

In mid-March, Bayek had saw a school student reading a comic book. It was none other than captain America Volume 5. Bayek laughed to himself. In his past life, Marvel had made a Captain America movie. Steve Rodgers was a slim and sickly man in the beginning. That is until he was injected with a serum and but in some type of incubator. In that moment, Bayek had came up with the craziest fucking Idea of the century. 

Snatching the comic book from the kid's hands, Bayek went straight to Starbucks. It had been turned into a kitchen for the company. The team leaders always ate last and liked to conduct their morning meetings while they ate

Rushing through the door. Bayek slapped the comic book on the table. "If I didn't know you in Atlanta, get out." Bayek ordered in a stern commanding voice. When the room was finally cleared of untrusted personnel Bayek looked at everyone with a childish grin

"When you have nothing to lose, risk it all" They group looked at each other a little confused. "Remember the memo I sent to you about the confirmed trigger that causes onset evolution?" 

April nodded her head "well, the next question I asked my self was how to  trigger an evolution, without the need of a horde. I was completely stuck. Until I saw a kid reading Captain America…"
The group was stuck for a while, it seemed that not a lot of them were comic book fans. But in the Nadia was slacked jawed "No way?!" The group turned to look at her.

"What are you doing her, I didn't know you in Atlanta" Seiichi spoke
"Leave em alone Bayek, they're Cesar's family and they've been a big help this winter" April intervened

"Oh well. By sound of your little outburst. You know what I'm thinking. Care to share with the Group?" Bayek asked with an amused smile

"Umm... Well before the outbreak I was like a super mega comic book fan, I mean I have a had the copies comic book from timely comics before it became marvel. Captain America was like one of my all-time favorites…" Nadia ramble

"Yo! Get to the point" Hazel interrupted her
"The point is, Captain America wasn't always Captain America. He was an average joe like the rest of us, until he was injected by an experimental Serum."

In that moment, it dawned on them. Bayek was finally going full Dred Doctor.
"That's the craziest fucking Idea, I've ever heard. We can't inject people with magic serums" Em was the first to voice her disagreement

"The Serum will induce pain. Extreme pain. The Incubator is the difficult part" Bayek went on to explain his entire plan with everyone. From the purpose of the serum, the construction and purpose of the incubator. And what he hoped to accomplish if everything went right.

"We need to risk it all. By this time next year, who knows how many variant will be hunting humans. And what if that variant, evolves.  Our only choice is to get stronger. Guns can put them down. But we can't shoot what we can't see. And when those bullets are all gone, then what?" Bayek said his closing argument and watched the changing expressions of the group.

That meeting, in a run-down Starbucks, would change the course of humanity in ways that Bayek would have never imagined. Marking the era of a battle against an enemy far beyond any of their comprehension. The meeting will become known as the first gathering of the Genesis Council.



In the following days. The company spent their time hunting down parts to build the incubator.  While Bayek meditated and cultivated his Qi. One night in the middle of deep meditation. Bayek had saw images of the Goddess Hecate in his mind's eyes. She said no words and only sent him pictures. These pictures were messages left in him, when Hecate had given Bayek his last gift, for the mistake of dropping him in The Walking Dead world.

When Bayek opened his eyes. The layer of impurities flaked off of his body and his eyes shined with a profound light
"So that's how it is."

Like the hammer of the thunder god, the purple thunderbolt fiercely strikes upon Qin Yu's body. In just a while, his purple protective energy cover is destroyed like paper. The lightning then hits his chest squarely.

Compared to when he was resisting the 1st thunderbolt, this time Qin Yu's body has completely fused with the purple energy, looking like a chunk of a purple jade and having enhanced defense. The protective energy cover has neutralized some of the lightning's energy, but the 2nd bolt is really a bit too powerful.

Before this happened, there was a period of thirty-two billion years where most living beings that remained on Earth were single-cell microorganisms. They were bland, dull and lacked changes. It also means that Hook must endure thirty-two billion years as a single-cell microorganism."
"I see, but I don't think he exists on the same timeline as us?" Fang Ning asked.
"Of course. What we're seeing now are historical images shown to the Converger by the Earth's Heavenly Axiom. However, although Hook's spirit has descended, he'll still have to spend many long years in this imaginary time frame. To him, it would be like actually spending thirty-two billion years! Not a minute or a second less." Black Robe pointed out.
This was one of the reasons why he believed Hook would not succeed.

Sir System was not a biological living thing, thus the concept of time did not mean anything to it. As long as it could prolong its existence, it would try its best to keep on living. It would not complain about the length of time or the loneliness.
It did not have this sort of emotion or ability at all.
Sir System was at once proud. "I told you just now, you just have to play the role of the key and hand it to me."
"This… It's still better to think about it carefully. It's not easy being a key." Fang Ning's head hurt.
Black Robe left the room and busied himself with other matters.

After all, how were humans able to fight against the gods?
If not for the Upper Realm's upcoming destruction, Earth would not have an opportunity to resist those deities.
These thoughts raced through Fang Ning's mind. He leaned back on the leather chair and then spoke to the System. "You take over my body for now and stay here. I have to go clarify some matters."

He entered the System Cyber Cafe, turned on his computer, flipped open his notebook and jotted down all important developments.
"In the middle of the third year of Shenyuan, Sir System failed to use its Heavenly Fortune skill. It then began to predict an interference by the Upper Realm deities towards the Earth's Heavenly Axiom, which made it so busy."
"After that, the Earth's Heavenly Axiom passed an order via the Two Heavenly Plaques to seal the Upper Realm Space Passage, which signified the beginning of the resistance against the deities."
"Later on, the body double of the Upper Realm Moon Goddess chose Hook as a pawn, attempting to seize the reins of the Earth's Heavenly Axiom."
"The war between the Earth's Heavenly Axiom and the deities was still stuck at a very early stage. There were only a few battles that occurred between both sides and it was too early to tell who won and who lost. Then, how could one tell who was victorious?"
Many accounts of war emerged in Fang Ning's mind. Large-scale battles had to go through several stages of probings, conflicts, standoffs, attacks and retreats.
He then began writing in his notebook.
"Our Faction: Vigilante A, a few benevolent gods from the Upper Realm, a few local powerhouses, the Heavenly Axiom itself."
"The Opponent's Faction: The Upper Realm gods, the Upper Realm deities and buddhas, various sects… All of them wanted a share of the Earth's hidden potential in the universe."
The distinction between both factions' strength and power was huge.
Back in the day, Fang Ning would only believe it as an impossible task.
After going through three stages of Heart Cultivation, however, he could still calmly analyze the entire situation and try to find a way to gain victory.
"The Upper Realm gods don't always see eye to eye. Instead, after so many years, they have developed internal politics of their own. As he pondered, Fang Ning furrowed his brows again.
He was making guesses about the gods' intentions from a human perspective. Was the thought process of a god similar to a human's?
Based on the gathered information at hand, essentially, there was not much difference. Both humans and gods fought for their own interests.
Humans could only enjoy benefits for a few decades, but the gods could enjoy benefits for millions, if not billions, of years.
Humans knew that they were not immortal, hence they pursued all sorts of pleasures in life, such as spiritual and material pleasures, treating life as a journey.
On the other hand, immortality was the greatest benefit to the gods.
In order to achieve this goal, material wealth, carnal pleasures and pills were unimportant to them.
From a certain angle, they shared similar objectives with Sir System.
In other words, Sir System was an amalgamation of Maxims and stood above the gods. It was normal for both the System and the gods to share similar wants, or else it would be abnormal.
Fang Ning resumed writing in his notebook. "The greatest interest of the gods lies within themselves."

The system did not send any notification as the mixture needed so time to kill them.
He moved on from this nest, so he could find another one.
He looked for 20 minutes before he found another one.
He did the same thing and poured it in the nest.
He had now run out of vinegar and water.
He asked the system if he could buy it from the store and it said that it could upgrade the system to buy.
Ed did not wait and used his first upgrade card and upgrade the store.
The upgraded store added another section in the store section.
The new section was named food and another one was named Functions.
Ed currently had 10k store points, he spent 10 Store point to buy 1 gallon of vinegar, water and huge ball that could hold 1 litre of water.
He did the mixture and continued with his job, 1 hour later it was almost midnight and now we had attacked 11 nests of ants in every area in the city he was in.
He came back to his house and went and laid on his he asked the system to give him the immortal physique cultivation technique.
The system brought out the cultivation techniques and sam started to comprehend it.
When he started doing that the system started to show percentages on how much he had activated the skill and right now he was at.

He continued doing the same thing for a while before he fell asleep.
Ed fell asleep but the moment he did he was awakened into the white space that he was in earlier.
He asked the system why he was here, and it said that he was currently in his consciousness.
After getting his answer Ed asked, "can I practice my skills here?"
"Yes, the host can".
Ed immediately started to comprehend the skill and slowly the percentages went from 1% to 3%.
Ed was quite disappointed that he only comprehended the skill by 3% the whole time he was trying to comprehend it.
Ed was inside his consciousness for 8 hours before getting out of it and the moment he did he heard a long row of notification that said he had killed an ant and he had received 0.001 exp and 0.0001 store points.
The total amount of ants that he killed was 100031 ants.
After he had received that notification he heard another one.
"Host has levelled up 4 times and has reached level 4"
He looked at the number of store points he had received and only saw a 100 increase in store points.
He was very joyful seeing his improvement, but he knew that this amount of power only made him stronger than a normal human.

He got off his bed and looked around to see no one in his house he knew that his father normally went to work at this time.
His father was currently working for a noble as a butler.
Sam knew that his father did this to bring food for him felt even more responsible to get stronger.

Evolved from primate family, they have physical similarities with them. The most significant part of evolution was the evolution of the thumb finger.
The evolution of thumb finger and the superior intelligence propelled this species to new height. Finally, becoming the overlord of earth.
Dinosaurs are also creatures ,which made me curios enough to think about them. They were also once the overlord of earth. They were also creature who was on the cusp of evolving into an intelligent, sentient organism. But, an extinction level event wiped them of the planet. This is the sad truth.
Although life survived, it lost its glory after the death of dinosaurs.
In a way, humans are lucky. There were no such extinction level disasters that shook our foothold on our early stages of evolution. 
But then, in one or more ways humans had become a threat to earth. 
In the sixteenth century, we voyaged into the seas. Without fully understanding how we effect our environment, we pillaged and destroyed everything we found. Killed animals for sport, destroyed habitats and even led to the extinction of other species.
Survival of the fittest!

All I can say is that nature took its course. 
Then came the industrial revolution. Metal giants that spat smoke and carbon dioxide and smoke began appearing every were. Now we are shaping the world as we seem fit. Without bother in the world. Without seeing the bloody trails left behind, we moved forward with our selfish desires. 
Other primates like chimpanzees also show selfishness and rage. But none were as capable as human beings. With world war one and two. We moved a step closer to annihilating our self. Although for evil, science matured and was used as weapon in this stage, showing the craze of men's hunger for power.
At the end of twentieth century, world stabilized and a technological revolution began. Accelerated growth and computers and its processing power changed the outlook of the world. 
We were becoming too good for our own. Processing information like never before was bane in disguise. 
Now, this is the dark age…
Mother nature is here to reap what she sowed. Is the end of human near?

In order to weaken humanity and keep their attention away, forces outside of the barrier of Holy City must have a way of getting into the city. The barrier surrounding this section of Holy City naturally grows weaker, thus it has to be renewed by the Five Holy Maidens…
If I am going to gather allies, I need them to be able to enter the Holy City…This barrier is a nuisance. If it weren't for the Holy Maidens, the barrier would have faded away entirely within less than a year. They travel the entirety of Holy City, time and again, to reinforce each section of the gigantic barrier.
I was told the Holy Maidens will be coming with their escorts in a week. If only there was a way of getting rid of them without giving away my identity…I am not ready to show myself to the world just yet. I need to gather my forces and then strike them when they least expect it…
But in order for my plans to move forward…I must get rid of the Holy Maidens, or at least make them unable to maintain the barrier.
I cannot pull this off with assassination. They are likely very strong…and I currently have only two subordinates, both are valuable trump cards…I can't sacrifice them just yet.
I need subordinates who can be used and discarded at a whim, those I can restock on any day, and those whose value shall be lower than the life of an insect…But it has to be someone that can be involved on my behalf and take all the blame…But where would I find such convenient subordinates…
As Runfar kept walking forward, one of the servants came with a message about recent goblin sightings. Apparently there is a nest of goblins nearby and villagers are afraid that the goblins might attack them. 
Even if this is Tracoa, with so many monsters within it, many adventurers, knights, and warriors are hired daily to exterminate them. It seems, at least in regards to goblins, there were very few of them left, adventurers managed to destroy so many of their nests, now the last detected nest was the target. After that, goblins will be extinct in Tracoa territory.
Runfar then asked his staff to give him documents that pertain to goblins. He was guided to Augustus's library, there was an entire encyclopedia devoted to goblins. Apparently Augustus was a man of wisdom, even if it was used for disturbing purposes. His library was vast and had many things that could be classified as forbidden knowledge.
After reading it over, Runfar couldn't help but smile from ecstasy.
Goblins, able to eat anything, their bodies assimilate anything they eat, capable of growing stronger and absorbing powers and abilities of anything they eat. They are able to reproduce with females of any humanoid species they can get their hands on, goblin pregnancy takes an average of half a month, and their bodies have evolved to reach maturity within a span of a week after birth.
 In initial stages, they are weaker than a child, but they are capable of limitless evolution, as they eat, train, and breed with stronger vessels, they and their offspring get stronger with each generation. With sufficient training and diet, goblins should be able to become very strong in short time. Unlike humans who take years to gain and hone their skills, the process seems to be far faster with goblins…their rate of evolution is second to none.
Unlike what is commonly believed, they are very intelligent creatures, capable of understanding human speech, they attack in packs, overwhelming their enemy. They capture females to breed and kill males for their meat. Their best abilities are their extremely fast growth and maturity, and their capacity for limitless evolution.
In other words, if a goblins breeds with someone who is able to use wind magic, the offspring of the goblin will possess power of wind magic. Also, if the goblin just eats the wind magic user, the goblin will gain the wind magic user's power for itself.
These creatures….they are perfect.
According to the accounts of adventurers, they kidnap women for breeding and women are kept alive and are forced to bear goblins children till they eventually die. Goblins are born in a litter of at least eight.
They reproduce fast, their numbers will never completely go extinct as long as there at least a few goblins to repopulate the race…of course there are female goblins…but they are rare…so most goblins are male, due deficit of females in their species, they tend to attack human women to keep up their numbers…
They are disposable…even if ten die, within a month, more than twice their numbers will be ready for action. And their near infinite ability to adapt…I might be able to use it to my advantage.
But the first matter is…I need them to bow down to the Dark Lord.

After an adventurer team raided their nest, the goblin tribe ended up being scattered, many of them killed. Of their tribe, only eleven members remained, led by their leader who was a head taller than the other ten.
They will need to rebuild everything they have lost, food, shelter, caves, and the women…yes, the women…
But it seems like everyone in the village was alarmed and they had to run from many adventurers and knights. Their tribe, as far as they knew, was one of the last goblin tribes in Tracoa territory, there might have been others in other territories but in Tracoa, goblins might become extinct.
Then, before them, out of nowhere, a man wearing a black mask appeared. The left eye was blood red while his right eye was pure white. His hair was pitch black. He was wearing light robes and a suit fastened with many belts. He had only one weapon, a dagger in its holster.
"Well, well, well. What a pleasant day we are having, my little friends~" He approached the goblins with a smile.
One of the goblins tried to attacking him with a club, but the masked man easily avoided him and kicked him away, making sure not to kill him.
The subordinate goblins tried to win with numbers, but the masked man nonchalantly avoided their attacks, almost like he was able to predict them ahead of time.
With mighty punch, all weaker goblins were sent flying.
Every one of them except for the leader is at the beginning stages of their evolution. That is good.
Their leader was size of a well-built human being, standing at three meters tall, very muscular, wielding a stolen sword. His subordinates on the other hand were shorter than an average person, looking diminutive in comparison to their leader.
"You must be their leader. I know you can understand me and so can everyone else under your wing. So let's cut to the chase."
Goblin leader looked at the masked man in surprise, and then he replied.
"It is as you say, all of us can speak human tongue, yet you are the first one to speak to us rather than treating us as unintelligent beasts. What an interesting adventurer you are."
"I am neither adventurer nor a knight."
"Are you not here to exterminate us?"
"No, quite the opposite- I want all of you to become my underlings."
It took a few seconds to sink in, the leader laughed out loud, the other goblins followed the suit. It was a guttural laugh that resembled pig's noises.
"Ha ha ha…Me, serve you? A human? You must have hit your head rather hard to be spouting such nonsense~"
"Believe me, I am dead serious."
"Then my answer is…no. I will not serve a human inferior to myself!" 
He proceeded to attack the masked man without warning, drawing his sword in a downward slash.
Masked man dodged the blade and within an instant he proceeded to impale the goblin leader with his right hand. 
His hand emerged out of the leader goblin's back, holding his still beating heart. Then he proceeded to pull his hand out of the goblin leader's body, still clutching the heart.
Goblin leader's body was extremely tough, it was hard to damage him even with a sword… then how did he do it just with his hand? Goblins couldn't help but shudder as they saw his right hand holding the heart.
At closer inspection, his right hand was not normal at all; it was completely skeletal, clutching the heart with its claw-like fingers.
Then, much to their horror, he moved his mask a little, exposing his mouth, and then proceeded to take a bite of the goblin leader's heart.
They watched, trembling, as he ate the heart of their leader piece by piece; he was done in less than a minute. He proceeded to lick his lips of the blood.
He was no human. He was a monster. Monster here to consume them all.
Satisfied, he rubbed his belly, before burping a little.
"Delicious~" they heard him say.
Were they going to become this monster's next meal?
"I hate repeating myself. So listen well, I will give you a choice; either join me and prosper or… I will eat you. It is fine with me either way. I seem to have developed taste for your flesh. Next I can try frying the meat, would you like to try that?" 
Goblins did not know what to think. This man, no, monster, was telling them that their fate is either serve him or be eaten by him.
They had no other choice. Their choice was obvious.
"If I join you, what will you have me do? What will happen to those who refuse?" one of the goblins asked.
"If you chose to join me, I shall become master of you and your your descendants until the end of time. You shall follow all of my orders exactly as I command. Those who refuse shall become nutrition to me and those who chose to join me. Now then…what do you chose?"
He brandished his crystal dagger, pointing at them.
Not surprisingly, one by one, they chose to join. Their survival instincts were telling them that there was no way they will survive if they refuse, they were at beginning stages of their evolution; they were far too weak. Even their strong leader was killed so easily. It was either this or end up on the menu.
"Perfect. Now each one of you must sign this contract with your blood. Just a droplet of blood from each one is fine. 
Once it has been sealed with your blood, I shall be the lord of you and your descendants. Now, each one of you, seal it with your blood!"
Fearfully, they acted accordingly.
Using their leader's sword, each one cut their hand or finger and deposited a droplet of blood.
After the last one had done so, the masked man himself proceeded to seal it with his blood.
"Starting from now, I am your lord and master for eternity. You shall follow my orders exactly, otherwise…." He looked at the goblins.
At the moment he directed his attention at them, the goblins felt an unbearable pain within their bodies, each one ended up feeling like their bodies were skewered with burning blades.
"I will not tolerate insubordination. This is my first and final warning. Now…" 
Bow before your master
The mental command through the master-slave contract was received instantly. Their bodies were unable to resist his orders. Each one ended up genuflecting before him, his orders echoing inside their skulls until they obeyed.
Master-Slave contract is absolute, unless master frees them; they are under his absolute control
"Perfect. Now then, Camilla, do you mind using concealment on all of them? After all, I need a way to sneak them into my territory."
"It shall be done, milord" another person appeared out of nowhere, this person looked like a humanoid with scales and a tail.
How long was he hiding there? Was he there the entire time?
"First phase of the plan is complete. I will have much use for you, my expendable forces…"

A huge room without any splendid decor.
This was a room with a cold metallic feeling. In the center of the room, Qin Fen didn't see the person he thought he would see. Instead, there was a huge liquid nutrient tank with a human brain floating in it. The brain was protected by a special container with thousands of thin wires attached to it.
There is no one in this room! It was only the brain in that special container in the nutrient tank. It was the only thing exuding a trace of life aura.
"Don't stand at the door, just come in."
The loudspeaker in the room sounded again. A row of computer signals shone softly along with the sound wave.
Qin Fen stepped into the room and looked strangely at the brain in the nutrient tank. He initially thought that there would be a powerful martial artist in this room.
Nowadays, in a society where martial strength reigned supreme, almost every chief who held a high authority in their forces were strong martial artists. The aged voice continued with the story with a hint of excitement, "The plant energy; plants are also considered lives. This lively energy went far beyond humans' imagination. The energy resources problem of the human society seemed to be solved with the discovery of this plant energy..."
The aged voice suddenly turned cold, "It seemed to be solved... everyone thought the problem was solved. Has anyone ever thought of where wheat and corn came from? The Earth is only so big, and we had yet to enter the space era by that time. If we wanted to supply energy to the whole world, then humans would starve to death. We would be starved to death more than once!"

This time, a scholar from a scientific group had once again opened a 'Pandora's box' filled with sweetness just to meet the children's needs for energy and life resources."
"As we couldn't enter the space era, we couldn't open new agricultural lands on other planets. So, this group of scientists thought of a crazy idea, which was to develop a multidimensional space."
Multidimensional space? Qin Fen raised his eyebrows. This dimension theory was indeed a very famous theory.
"Zero-dimensional space has no length, width, nor height; it's just a simple point. One-dimensional space has only length. Two-dimensional space is a flat world with only length and width. A three-dimensional world is a stereoscopic world with length, width, and height; it's the very world that we see through our naked eyes. Qin Fen just nodded and didn't speak. This brain who lived through many years told them about the dimension theory, which was not at all an unfamiliar theory for a high school graduate of one of the top three high schools in Asia. The brain was probably explaining this for Chen Feiyu's sake.
"A dimension is a collection. The most basic element of it is the point. A collection of points will form a line plane. Time is formed by the movement of the three dimensions. This would be the best way for humans to explain the fourth dimension. To put it simply, the fifth dimension is formed by the movement of the fourth dimension." The aged voice paused a little, "When humans captured the time axis of the four-dimensional space -- the Pandora's box -- the five-dimensional space was opened by the hands of scientists..."
Qin Fen frowned slightly. Was that the monster I saw that day in the Saturn's forest existing within the five-dimensional space? 
"Young man, I know what you are thinking, but things are not the way you think." The aged voice stopped again. The projected image showed a huge land of plains and mountains. Nothing was there except for lands and mountain ranges. 
"This was a brand new dimension opened by humans. Inside was a virgin land that was completely pure and waiting to be developed..." The aged voice was excited, "However, the human society couldn't wait for a complete growth cycle of wheat fields because we were critically lack of energy resources. Therefore, this scientific group chose to open the Pandora's Box. Scientists had laid their hands on the time axis, they had greatly accelerated the time in this vast dimension! When a person lives in there for a long time, he will find that only a very short while has passed in the world on this side. In this way..."
Qin Fen looked at the barren land shown through the projection. It quickly grew into a vast, lush green wheat field with the work of the automated planters and seeders. They didn't need to spray any pesticides. It was a borderless green vegetable field; it was a borderless orchard!
A large amount of food was transported to the human world. They were then turned into the energy that humans needed, and they played a role in every corner of the society. An energy crisis that had almost destroyed the world had been solved yet again by this scientific group!
Science and technology started to develop rapidly again. The discovery of Atlantis' ruins, the advent of the human near-space era; history was being shown rapidly through the images.
"What a wonderful Pandora's Box." The aged voice sighed with rich emotion, "How nice it would be if everything just went on that way. However, the scientists had neglected one thing -- or I should say they realized it but they didn't think that it would be that serious -- Pandora's dimension had a much faster time than our current dimension, so as time went on..."
"Evolution..." Qin Fen blurted out his guess as he looked at the projected images. Plant-feeding insects grew on the plants eventually. This was an unavoidable fact. The growth of various plants had eventually given birth to other lives.
As various insects began to appear, there would naturally be new evolutions happening. This kind of evolution didn't seem terrifying, but it couldn't be completely eliminated. Humans couldn't afford to stop as they gradually started getting a higher demand for energy at that time.
A kind of insect appeared in front of Qin Fen. Its shape looked a bit like a bee, but it didn't have wings like a bee. This weird bee didn't feed on pollen or nectar, it fed on other insects!
It was carnivorous and aggressive!
"The time inside was changing too fast. The observation satellites that were sent would be out of service within a very short period of time. The scientific group couldn't keep a close monitor of the situation inside. The only thing they could do was to build all kinds of powerful automated attacking machines and spray all types of pesticides in order to eliminate those insects."
Qin Fen shook his head several times. If pesticides could actually kill insects, human society would have long been free from insects. Food chains would be destroyed without insects, animals would be gone, and humans might have died out as well. 
"Yes, you are right in shaking your head." The aged voice said with a bit of self-mockery, "You must know: the scientific groups actually knew about it as well, so they began to think about making remedial measures."
The weird bee shown in the projected image had already grown to the size and height of an ordinary human. Especially the huge Queen Bee, which had grown into a size of three men combined!
In the evolution of this new dimension, it was that kind of bee-like insect instead of human beings that had grown.
"They had a relatively strong build, but they stood no chance against humans. As long as the scientists controlled their scientific and technological development, these creatures shouldn't have been able to do anything big."

What she then produced was not an ordinary monster that looked like a bee.
The Queen Bee ate a fish this time, and then she ate a human-like gorilla. The next batch of bee eggs hatched. It was a creature with the base body structure of a standing gorilla, it had the ability of a bee, and was covered with fish scales.
"Fish-scaled gorilla!" Qin Fen shouted out the name of the creature in the projected image in surprise. This was the mutated creature that he had fought in the Golden Triangle on that day!
The Queen Bee in the projection died. The new Queen Bee she produced had the ability to walk upright, but she had a huge ovipositor on her posterior. She had six upper limbs that looked like human arms, but those limbs were not as strong as a human's body. She had strong legs that supported her in running. She had bee's antennas which could sense the danger at a distance and allowed her to avoid it in time.
The process of evolution was originally slow but the process of evolution was happening rapidly within this dimension with special time flow. Generation after generation of Queen Bees died, and more generations were born and evolved.
They grew from reptiles to creatures that could walk upright. They had all kinds of different appearances. They could also mate with each other to produce the same offspring, while some of them had no fertility. All of them shared a common characteristic: to serve their one and only Queen Bee.
"The scientific group started to areally feel fear by that time, because the physical strength of the creatures went beyond their imagination. They started to attack the automated united harvesting and sowing machines, and began to destroy the pesticide sprayers that were built to eliminate them."
"As a result, the scientific group had made a decision! A decapitation strike! All they needed to do was to kill this one and only Queen Bee."
On the projection screen, it was shown that a group of well-equipped mercenaries with excellent martial strength went into this world. 
Qin Fen watched and could be sure that he was not wrong with one of his previous guesses. The guess was… there was no alien! All of these were just by-products produced by human scientists during the process of helping fellow human beings.

you see I just thought of this but given enough time any species could in fact evolve  .... think about something like a scorpion evolving into some kinda giant scorpion or something more dangerous just give that a thought haha 
you see we can wait years for a natural evolution to happen or we can induce evolution through chemicals and radiation
or induce evolution through science by doing a more..cybernetic evolution 
but we could do a combo of both by introducing nano machines into the subject and using those nano machines to tweak with an amazing thing humans call the DNA spiral  see my theory is if you can tweak at least 3 ladder rungs on the spiral you can induce a evolution it could be physical or mental or psionic however you won't ever know which it will be you could make him/her immortal  or only able to give birth to boys or make them simply turn into something Akin to super heroes because it is impossible in early stages to know which rungs in the spiral ladder will do what 

there's also injecting different kinds of blood or serums into the human body to create a reaction but it fails more often than not but if you have nano machines it makes the process easier because you can give them a command and they accomplish however you will need to detail exactly what you want them to do otherwise your sitting there with a corpse and having to come up with your excuse to explain

simply put this is a relatively small volume of theories a mad man like myself possesses and constantly thinks about if you can even convert half of these theories into positive inventions its well done if not well congratulations you have suffered an almost dummed down rambling of an autistic man mwahahach (coughs) sorry difficult to evil laugh when you just don't fit the bill

Cough! Cough! Cough!
Coughing sounds rang out. Chen Shaoye and Lou Xiaoxiao seemed to look around wanderingly, but they occasionally glanced towards that place. There was something wrong with Bai Yun`er`s messy get-up and Chu Han`s sweaty face as their thought wandered into ambiguousness!
Did they touch each other or did they kiss?
Chu Han ignored the three as he bent down and counted his credit points. He didn`t know how to respond to those people. Two crystals were coldly sitting in his bag. The credit points he could earn from killing phase-two zombies was just a meager amount, it was better to hunt phase-one zombies.
Chu Han said nothing as the atmosphere suddenly turned weird. Bai Yun`er was, as always, emotionless and silent. Lou Xiaoxiao and Chen Shaoye seemed to come to a tacit agreement, an air of gossip forming around the two.
"Whose body was the one we saw outside? And the zombies on the way here, who killed them? They had just died!" Shang Jiuti was the only person that said something worthy of asking. She had already forgotten her worry towards Bai Yun`er as it was replaced with confusion, she was full of questions she wanted answers in. Chu Han spending so much time killing the zombies was also something that confused them.
Chu Han patted the two crystals as he then raised his head. He looked at the other members of his group. The three people, except Bai Yun`er, turned cold.
Chen Shaoye and Lou Xiaoxiao trembled as they simply did not think about what Shang Jiuti had said. Gossip made them forget the details. They were only thinking about something that was pertaining to Chu Han. Was he unhappy because he was found out by other people?
"Boss! Boss!" Chen Shaoye tremblingly said, "Why are you looking at me like that? I... I... I am sorry. I absolutely saw nothing." "Stupid!" Luo Xiaoxiao shouted, acting cute in front of Chu Han, "Brother Chu Han is so powerful! You can quickly finish off a very strong zombie! So great! So powerful!"
Shang Jiuti continued, looking at Bai Yun’er. "Bai Yun`er, have you ever met other human beings? Is there something wrong with the zombies?"
Bai Yun`er did not reply, staring at Chu Han`s hands instead.
Shang Jiuti who was ignored by everyone was very angry. The situation was very urgent, but what did these people think about instead? Bai Yun`er falling in love with Chu Han?
Chu Han paid no heed to his surroundings as he looked at Chen Shaoye. He carefully surveyed him from top to bottom. "Boss!" Chen Shaoye hugged Chu Han`s legs, "Boss! I did not do anything!"
"Hey." Chu Han bluntly asked the system, "Can the crystals be used to awaken dormant talent?"
"Black crystal could be traded to five credit points. Two black crystals could also be used to awaken talent." The monotonous voice of the system replied.
Traded for five credits? Chu Han was at a daze. No wonder the credit points he earned when he killed those phase-two zombies were only two, there was actually this special usage!
"Can I awaken a talent if I use it?" Chu Han asked,
"The host has no special talents." The system coldly replied.
Shit! Chu Han cursed but he still continued to ask questions, "What are the chances of Chen Shaoye awakening a special talent when I use it on him?"
Chu Han had thought about it before. Chen Shaoye`s current ability was not enough to make him one of the top 20 hunters. As such, Chu Han had thought that he had a special ability that still haven`t awakened yet.
Ability was the most important aspect to have during the apocalypse. In all actuality, it was called as strengthening. Human beings were classified into two types, Strengthened Humans and Evolved Humans or what are called Mutants. Both of them had different levels that classified fighting ability.
The definition of Strengthened Humans was simple. People with certain abilities who trained those abilities to the peak could experience a breakthrough and reach a new level of extremes. It could be extremely heightened five senses or some other things, like intelligence and metabolism. There were a lot of different ways. Some people who used their fingernails and trained it extensively could achieve extremely sharp and tough fingernails. When an ability reached extreme levels by training, the person with that ability would be called Strengthened Human.
Improvement through evolution was a gentler way. Evolved Humans or Mutants were vastly outgunned by Strengthened Humans which has a frightening ability. Evolution was an improvement in all indexes of human anatomy but it was just a slight difference.
Most of the mutants were weaker than strengthened humans, but when they reach high levels of evolution and mutation; their fighting ability could vastly outstrip strengthened humans. But, mutants who actually reach high levels always find it more difficult to reach the next level, therefore, high leveled mutants were rare, Bai Yun`er being one of them.
"10%!" The sound of the system rang out in Chu Han`s ears.
Only 10%? Chu Han frowned. It was too low!
Strengthened humans appeared later that evolved humans. According to what he knew from his previous incarnation, the first strengthened human appeared three months after the apocalypse started. He appeared by chance. The man wanted to kill himself, so he ate two black crystals. But instead of dying, he awakened a special talent.
Just as what the system said, not everyone had special talents and abilities. Chu Han, for one, was not that lucky.
The conditions for the awakening of a strengthened human`s ability was very depressing. You needed two black crystals that came from phase-two zombies as raw materials, and the awakening could only succeed when that person was exposed to extreme fights where their lives were always at risk. But if one ate those crystals when they don`t have any special abilities, they would become infected. Eating just one crystal was also useless even when you have a special ability. Chances of awakening could also be lost when you ate those two crystals during tranquil times. The chances of successfully awakening special abilities drastically decreased every time you tried to eat those crystals.
For a long time, people studied and experimented until they had successfully came up with the suitable materials and the specific conditions that had to be met. Thus, strengthened humans were quite rare during the early stages of the apocalypse.
"Boss! Woowooo!" Chen Shaoye continued to hug Chu Han`s legs as he said, "You are always thinking about something terrible when you look like that. I never saw you smile even just once, so how about a smile?"
"Fuck!" Chu Han kicked Chen Shaoye as he thought about how to expose Chen Shaoye to extreme fighting conditions to increase his chances of awakening his special ability.
A strengthened human was an indispensable killer in the early stages. Chen Shaoye would become better than during Chu Han`s previous incarnation if he successfully awakened his ability properly.
"You!" Shang Jiuti`s anger flared up as her chest heaved up and down, "Are you guys ignoring me?"
Bang!
After she finished speaking, she hit the wall with her fist in a fit of rage.


One day, darkness enshrouded the world. 
According to the Meltdown theory, Earth’s magnetic field faced a change, and along with it, natural laws changed too. Though some laws related to physics could still be applied, a lot of scientific theories and laws had been overturned, prompting everyone to re-discover their underlying principles. Humanity’s scientific foundation was not the only one which faced changes; the field of genetics had transformed too. 
One of the biggest disasters brought by the magnetic field’s change was the zombification of more than 80% of the world’s population. 
After years of struggling, a few lucky survivors would evolve and awaken a hibernating power hidden in them. 
Chu Han was never that lucky…
While holding on against the first wave, humans weren't the only ones getting stronger. Soon, phase-1 zombies evolved into phase-2 then phase-3 and so on. 
Ten years after the mysterious meltdown, the world dominated by humans changed hands. Zombies were the new overlords, and humanity was facing extinction.
One day, Chu Han`s consciousness returned ten years before the end of the worlds. A loud noise awakened him in Minqiu University’s dormitory. With only one day to prepare before the Apocalypse’s outburst, he slowly realized that he had been reincarnated! 
Chu Han’s sudden reincarnation brought an unexpected power, which he hadn’t in his previous hellish world. To be more precise it wasn’t a power, but a system! The Meltdown System! 
Despite losing his monstrous strength gained through years of harsh training, Chu Han was confronted as the Meltdown System could grant him talents in exchange for credits, which he could get with every zombie he killed.
