Star was named after the shooting star her mother wished on to have a child, Which came true.

Stars dream is to become a baker and her best friend Penelope plans to become the best chef in the world. Combine it togeather you have two dreams that can become one amazing restaurant.

As the sun was setting and the grass was swaying in a rural area, a young man in his 20's could be seen taking a break after finishing the last touches to his house. The young man was looking at his house in all of its glory as it shined upon the setting sun. 

The as he looked up at the sky the young man saw a shooting star which was brighter than any he'd seen before and shed a tear, thinking the universe was praising his hard work but when the shooting star didn't go away and instead got bigger and brighter he didn't even have a chance to react and he died instantaneously by the meteorite.

After dying he was immediately overwhelmed with 360 degree vision and he couldn't feel his limbs but after a while he finally got used his newfound sight enough to not make himself as overwhelmed.

"Ugh.. why do I suddenly have 360 degree vision? This is so annoying and I can't even close my eyes.. wait... where is my house?"

Although he was tired he was trying to think back to what just happened to him but he couldn't understand where his house that he spent years on went, then it clicked.

"Ohhhh this must be a dream! Huh it feels nothing like the dreams I've had before since i'm not usually this lucid... WAIT IF THIS IS A DREAM THAT MEANS I CAN DO ANYTHING!!"

He couldn't do anything.

"Wait.. so if this isn't a dream does that mean...I died? No there's no way that can be right but if it was, what could've killed him then??"

Thinking back he did remember that in his last moments he was looking at a shooting star which grew bigger and brighter before he died.

"Ah.. maybe someone assassinated me when I was looking at the shooting star..."

But who would want him killed? He didn't have any enemies and had lived an enjoyable quiet life this all didn't make any sense to him and then he realized something.

"No...there's no way I could've died to that shooting star...Right?! I even finished my dream house.. this can't be happening.."

Still in denial he observed his surroundings.

The sun was setting as the grass swayed to the gentle wind and the clouds enveloping around him. It was probably the most majestic scenery he had witnessed.

Blankly looking at the scenery he noticed some text which read.

Looking closer at the text he noticed that the system that he got had almost nothing useful to him now unlike the system's in most of the novels he read.

"Hahahaha... I guess luck was really not on my side today huh?.."

He stayed in his position for a while contemplating his past life until it became night.

He didn't feel cold but he could still feel the grass under him.

"At least I don't have to worry about the cold I guess.. thats probably one of the only good things that happened so far. Oh yeah there was a timer that I haven't checked that came with the system. I guess I'll check that out."

Looking at the dark sky he could see a moon but it was a lot bigger than the one on Earth and it barely had any craters on it. He also noticed that there were thousands of bright stars in patterns which he would've never seen on Earth.

"Wow.." He was speechless the night sky was so beautiful he didn't even know that it could be like this.

"Well maybe being here isn't all that bad... I could just build a new house here with the beautiful scenery- wait I forgot, I don't have any limbs.. What am I anyways?"

A young man in his 20’s died right after finishing his dream house by a meteorite and was brought to an unknown place in a completely new body. How will he survive?

"My name is Kim just a normal 15-year-old high school student. I have a big build or you can call it fat. Having 180 cm height with 110 kg weight well I'm severely obese."


Despite being young I live alone. I go to school during the day and work at night. good thing it's a public school and I don't have to pay for tuition. My hobbies are reading it watching anime manga novels.

Just like any normal night, I was going home straight from work.



The road only has a few cars passing by it's really quiet. 



Suddenly I saw a dreamy colored shooting star. Is that weird? The shooting star was beautiful. I made a wish. "I wish God would give me something which could change my life."




 Then the shooting star suddenly changes its direction and the direction was directed at me. 


I thought it was just a coincidence when suddenly the shooting star became faster than the speed of light. 



It's going to hit me I thought. "The heck I don't want to die because of a falling rock."



 I started to run away from it but it continued chasing me until It finally landed on the ground. 



My vision was filled with dreamy colors as I saw the shooting star shine.



When the dreamy light ended I saw a stone about the size of a marble. Filled with curiosity I touch the stone with my fingers.



The stone suddenly shone dreamy bright again, then suddenly the stone entered my fingers it wasn't painful but instead, it feels comfortable. The stone traveled till it reaches my head then the light slowly faded.




"That was weird, What just happened?" Like nothing happened I just continued walking to get home while thinking about what happened.




It was already set eleven when I reach home. After reaching home I change my clothes to my pajamas. I lie down to my bed and pondered a bit about what happened then sleep.



"System Activating..."

"System Activated."

"System is about to scan host would host like to proceed Y/N?"


"What's this? I thought in my mind but I just proceed and chose Yes."


"Host hast chose to proceed..."

"Beginning to scan..."

"Scanning Host..."

"Scanning Successful."

My alarm clock is now ringing, doing its everyday work and I gotta get up.


"Yawn.." I yawned as I stretch my arms and legs. 


Something wrong I feel light my body feels light. I looked into my body and what I saw shocked me. 'Did I become thinner?"


I stand up then quickly went to the bathroom and look at the mirror. I take my shirt out and looked at my body.



'I really did become thinner! Though still fat it's not as fast as before!" I said with my face smiling.



Then I suddenly remembered that event and dream last night. 'Was this because of that?"


Just as I was thinking about it suddenly I heard a metallic voice in my head.


"Hello, host," said the metallic voice.


"Ahh!"I was surprised which made me scream and thought am I going coco crazy? Fuck.


The metallic voice then talks again "You're not crazy host. I am a System made by the Creator and you are chosen as the first user."


What I heard made me think again then something came to my mind. "Does that mean I have a system? Like those in the novels I read?


"Affirmative"


That reply made me almost lost my mind.
After a few minutes, I calmed down and asked. "What can you do? Explain everything"



The System has 6 main functions.

-This is where the host could see his current status.

-This is where the host could take a mission to earn some points or lottery tickets.

-This is where the host is gonna use the lottery tickets. The lottery has 3 levels. The Normal Lottery, Super Lottery, and Mega Lottery.

-This is where the host could store his items space is infinite.

I was happy with the system functions till I saw the Multiversal Travel function which made me dumbfounded "I could travel worlds?" I asked stupidly.


"Yes Host," Said the system.



"Haha, I hit a Jackpot." I just stood there smiling like an idiot. 


After another while, I asked the system to show me my status.

"So far no changes in that aspect but we have people monitoring him."

"But Sir according to the report Mikayla Bell did not show that he inherit a fallen heritage. His symptom is more towards the normal."

"Tell our man to investigate more about Mikayla Bell. His father is an anomaly so it probably affects the heritage."

Mikayla has been isolated in a special ward. He knows it is probably because of his eyes. He told about his eyes to Kyle because he wants to know why did he have these changes. He has a lot of question and he feels that he can trust Kyle.

"What is happening to me, Kyle?"

"Nothing is happening to you. Don't worry."

"Mmmm. Kyle...did you know why is my father dead?"

Kyle did not answer directly to Mikayla question and he seems shocked hearing the question.

"That... your father died in an operation during ambushing a criminal hideout. Why did you ask?"

"Nothing, just asking." Mikayla shakes his head. ("Then, what about the dream that I always see? Should I ask Kyle about it?")

Then, a knock is heard from the door. The door is opened and a group of children runs in. They are about ten to fifteen years old. 

"Miiiikaaa! we come to visit you." Joane runs and jump towards Mikayla.

"Wow! Easy, I am a patient here."

"What are you fussing about isn't just the inheritance process? After cleansing the mark you will be fine. I have been through it so I know." Joane say with smug at her face probably thinking how lame Mikayla for making a fuss.

"Eh! You also had been through this?"

"Of course, at first it will be a little hurt but after that, you will be fine."

"The mark will be cleansed? What happens if the mark is not being cleansed?"

"Gee, did nobody told you about this, Mika?" asked Harry.

"Nope, nobody tells me about it."

"Kids, we come to visit Mikayla, behave yourself. Probably the officers did not tell him yet."

After being reprimanded by Mr. Dana, the children "behave" a little. The children are having fun. Laughter can be heard and those children talk many things happens at the orphanage and how they miss his singing. 

"Mika, sing that song, the Shooting Star" ask Cecile.

"Yeah! that song" say Leon.

"Yea!Yea! that song." All the children are shouting.

"Everyone! this is hospital" says Mr. Dana

The room becomes merrier with those shouting dan laughter. Even Mr. Dana can not control them anymore. Luckily that this room is far away from other patients. If he knows this would happen, he will not bring them here. He will not lose to those cute teary eyes anymore, probably.

During singing, everyone stay silence and hears him. They love his singing, it brightens their mood. The children and Mr. Dana in the room did not notice anything but the Kyle notices the magic power around the room is increasing and he able to sense the energy is making him excited and confident. He unable to calm himself and only when Mikayla finish singing he able to collect himself and starts to calm down.   

A nurse knocks on the door and says that the visiting time is finish. Every child waves him goodbye and the noisy room suddenly become silence. Mikayla is happy to see his friends come to visits him.

"Fuh! Finally, those children are back."

"Thank you, Kyle, for arranging for them to come here."

"Hahahaa. It is nothing, staying here alone is quite boring. Besides, I do not know who told them about me, they keep pestering me at the station."

"Hahahahahaha...It is their style. By the way Kyle about what Joane and Harry told me. They seem to know more about my condition."

"Mikayla, it is not I do not want to tell you, it is just not the time yet. It is better for you for not knowing anything."

Every time Mikayla falls asleep, he will dream of his father and sometimes he dreams to be surrounded with colourful light. He did not know what is it and if he touches it feels like touching water. The colour, when he touches it is always different. If he touches the red one it feels hot and warm and if he touches the blue one it feels like his body is cold and calm. 

This night, the moon is full. Mikayla body glow with a soft light, all The Knight are alert with these changes. Then, he floats and beautiful wings emerge at the back of Mikayla's back. The wing has a soft yellow colour resembles the colour of the moon and it also glows like the moon. 

"He is not awakening the heritage but awakens his Wings. How is this happen? Impossible!"

The Knight that monitoring him are shocked, it is unbelievable. Unless you are born as The Wing Tribe, one unable to awaken a wing.

During the awakening process, the black mark on Mikayla chest is glowing with black light. The black lights slowly change into black feather and integrate into the Wings. 

"Stop it! Everyone starts the cleansing ritual."

People are born as white sheet, later the world will leave some colour to it. Black or White? Salvation or Destruction?

5 years after...Time passed, many things changed. Ray's family heritage was broken up as a results of business rivalry. Yi Ren and Ray maintained a close distance but respected each other's choices to focus on their career. Ray was dedicated to rebuilding his family business and in that had made many good friends along the way. He had groomed a team of young and vibrant talent, a promising management team who is able to drive the company with innovative ideas that was key in diversifying their portfolios and generating diversified revenue stream. Their family business under his oversight expanded beyond just music and entertainment but ventured into retail and consumer goods including designer fashion, jewellery and bags as well as food and beverages. 

"Ray you are really talented, I heard these were hand designed labels that you made. Tell us a bit more what made you venture into this space" Ray was at an interview session with the reporters covering his recent launch on the latest design series. 

"I'd always wanted to try my hands on fashion as my aunt use to own her own line and it provided space to play, create and simply just broadcast your ideas for people to wear.

"Were there any specific inspirations behind some of the designer series that you like .... we do observe you have quite a unique series that was launched in the last one year... perhaps tell us about these few ones."

Ray was interviewed as part of an international designer's magazine and they were referring to some of the series he had launched asking for further clarification what was his idea behind some of these design. 

There were a few specific designs which intrigue them; a single rose version, a shooting star, firefly, an eternity sign, all of which had hit the market setting the trend and seeing the beautifully hand crafted designer wear from clothes to bags to jewellery ranges. They wanted to know the inspiration behind it. 

In addition he had also officially launch an art lover's hang out place where it blends in an art place into a common working space where art lovers can hang out working on their pieces while enjoying hand crafted coffee and tea with home made recipes for some light snacks with a reading area for quiet reading and writing. 

The revenue collected from this place including art pieces that were contributed for charity auction help fund local schools. It also offers selected scholarships for promising student into performing art schools. 

It was always his dream to be able to do that. 
"The designer series I had launched was based on some thoughts I had while ago while I was traveling sometime back. I like creating some of these ideas in my book and when I look back at it I realised perhaps it's time to let this ideas come to live. 

"The single red rose represents  "I love you" simply saying it in different languages can also be represented differently in colours, drawing, painting, song, melody, dance not necessarily in words.... I thought sometimes when a person hope to express it out beyond just words, it could in a form of a gift or simply just wearing it. Going on a date and showing it , expressing it in what you wear together or singularly  it would be quite sweet or even just as a gift to a good friend or a partner." Ray explained 

"I see and how about this the shooting star, or star or night skies series?"

Ray smiled and said "well this is an interesting one...I used to have a very good friend which I hang out with in my younger days and when we were young we used to talk a lot about our dreams and sometimes we would be talking through till late nights under the night skies sometimes filled with miraculous glittering stars. 

Back then the entertainment industry which I was personally involved in had many expectations but we were bold to dream about how we see our future lies a ahead.... I remember, we look up at the sky one of those night and there was a shooting star and we both made a wish together. We are both successful in our own areas as we look back and I wanted to just commemorate that into a designer series as my spring board" Ray responded

"Wow ... so this person must have been with you through thick and thin and important factor to your success?.... the interviewer tried to probe further 

"Mmmmn, very much so" Ray responded and moved on to the next designer series of firefly. He pointed on the design and thought for a bit before continuing. "This series .....well it was an inspiration from one of my dreams"

"That's interesting... what sort of dreams if you care sharing?" Now the audience start to perk up their antenna paying attention to Ray seeing Ray hesitated for a bit, they waited for an answer. 

"Ahhh it's a dream that I had when I was quite down at some point in my life and in my dream I woke up I was afraid, and I was lost in this place.... it was dark when I woke up, it was as though I lost my sight at that point but then I heard a familiar voice asking  me to follow the light... I tried to adjust my sight looking for it and started to see little small lights and as a familiar hand guided me to it - I was relief to see fire flies lighting up what I thought was an enchanted magical forest surrounding where I stood. 

The pitch dark area suddenly became really beautiful... serene and calm, I stayed there for a while. I enjoyed the sound of nature, the smell of wild flowers, the serene sound of calm waters running nearby and the fire flies that flew around .... that image stayed fixated in me and I had always this impression that this place exists in my dream do exists somewhere for me to find it here as well. The fireflies in the night were really beautiful and it gave me a lasting impression so I decided to paint in down one day and made it as part of my work."

Ray looked up and smile as the audience were all captivated silently listening to his explanation and the photographers took shoot of his expression when he explained it. 

"I'll catch it for you if you like it Ray...." Yi Ren said as they move around the river bank.
"Can we come back here again? It's so beautiful" Ray asked... "sure whenever you like" Yi Ren said as he wrapped his arms around Ray.

Ray shut his eyes as he controlled his emotion bringing him back to the interview, burying the past. 

"Ray so we've seen so much of your work in the last few years and you have expanded the business helping your family but is it true that you moved out on your own branching out from your brothers" 

"Mmmm, yes. Well we are still connected somehow but I pretty much run and decide on the portfolio that I am growing on separately" Ray clarify

An afro-sporting head popped through the window. It was none other than the scoundrelly Trendy Taoist Master.
As he stared at Shabby Taoist Master, his eyes sparkled.
In the room, Shabby Taoist Master suffered the shock of his life.
He nearly cursed out loud when he turned around. 'F*ck, does he have dog ears? Why does he always hear me? He can't be always eavesdropping on me, right?'
"Huh? Shooting a movie? What movie?"
Whoosh! Another head popped in from another side and bumped Trendy Taoist Master's head.
Both of the Taoist masters' eyes were sparkling.
"Another one with dog ears?" Shabby Taoist Master cursed under his breath.
"Who's shooting a movie?"
Thud thud thud!
A flurry of footsteps rushed toward Shabby Taoist Master and the door was kicked open with a bang. A tall and powerful-looking Taoist master came in with an ax in his hand.
"Hey, hey! What are you doing? Put down the ax!
"Also, don't kick the door like that next time, OK? You're gonna break it."
Shabby Taoist master gulped hard and said nervously.
The commotion spread in all directions.
"What? Shooting a movie?"
"Who's shooting a movie? What's it about?"
"Hey, Xuan Ling, are you moonlighting behind us? Tell us the truth."
One Taoist master after another came from all directions and surrounded the door.
Their eyes were sparkling as they looked inside.
Shabby Taoist Master broke out in cold sweat when he saw that.
He gulped hard and said, "Fellow Cultivator Tang... said that he wants to shoot a movie based on my novel. Also, he said that he wants me to star in it."
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone fell silent.
It was so quiet that it was almost terrifying.
Then, everyone wailed sorrowfully.
"Oh, heavens! Is there no justice in this world? I'm more handsome and cooler than him. Why won't he let me star in it?"
"How could that be? That isn't fair! I want to star in it too!"
The Taoist masters started shouting.

After cleaning themselves, they sat in front of the mirror and began to trim their beards and comb their hair.

Some even sprayed themselves with cologne.
Instantly, those people changed from Taoist masters to hipsters.
Eventually, the news spread through the entire Mao Mountain.
Even the white-haired elderly Taoist masters could not resist the temptation and began to groom their appearances.
When Tang Hao arrived at Mao Mountain, he was stunned.
Everyone from Mao Mountain was gathered at the foot of the mountain gate. Many of them began to pose when they saw him approach. Many people began to flaunt their kung fu moves. Some even swallowed swords and performed other acrobatic stunts.
It was a lively scene.
Their eager gazes seemed to be saying, "Pick me! Pick me!"
Tang Hao covered his eyes, trying to spare himself from the second-hand embarrassment.

As he spoke, he walked toward Shabby Taoist Master.
At that moment, a figure squeezed out from the crowd and walked in front of Tang Hao. He placed a large box in his hand on the ground.
Tang Hao looked closely at him and was stunned.
The person in front of him sported an afro and was extremely fashionable. He was none other than the scoundrelly Trendy Taoist Master. 
He looked at the box and saw that it was filled with CDs.
Trendy Taoist Master dragged heavily from the cigarette in his mouth and blew a cloud of smoke. He seemed melancholic and profound.
"What are you doing?" Tang Hao asked, surprised.
"I'm different from them!" Shabby Taoist Master said in a deep voice.
"How are you different?"
"They are… vulgar. They only want to act in movies and be famous, but... I'm different. I want to be a director. A director is the soul of a movie."
His tone was deliberately low and hoarse.
"Huh? Director?"
Tang Hao was completely dumbfounded.
"That's right, a director! I've always dreamed of being a director. However, my responsibilities as a Taoist master have prevented me from pursuing my dream.
"Now, the world is much more peaceful than before. We Mao Mountain Taoist masters no longer need to wander the earth like before. I can finally pursue my dream without reservations.
"I have been researching over the years. These CDs are only part of my collection. There's more in my room. I have studied every frame and every scene of these movies.
"You can say that Spielberg is my spiritual mentor, and Stephen Chow is my idol."
Trendy Taoist Master blew out another puff of smoke as he spoke.
The wrinkles on his face accentuated his melancholy and the vicissitudes of time.
Tang Hao was stunned. Somehow, he was convinced.

On a cold and dark night In a huge and bustling, the whole city was lit up in lights as many cars went by on the roads..  
 A young man stood atop the roof of a tall building as he overlooked the whole city, a cold gaze in his eyes.
  After graduating from high school Li fan was only a normal person, fated to get a normal job, nothing worth notice in his life, yet due to a lucky chance he had actually managed to become a superstar that had millions of supporters, even though he wasn't the best, he still felt helpless..

  I till he realized something, there was no one who he could blame, not even the heavens could be blamed for this, he could only blame himself.
  Why would someone like Li fan, who was a rising superstar suddenly lose everything?, his girlfriend had actually took all his song lyrics and everything he had worked hard to release in an album, what made him lose his mind was the fact that she had given it to the man she was with, almost as if they had planned this for a while now..
  They actually released the song soon after stealing it, no matter what Li fan said no one believed him, after all his fan base wasn't even enough to go against that man, even his fans started switching up on him as time went by..
  They kept asking for a new song the whole year, and many people started losing interest, Li fan could have created the songs again, but they wouldn't be at the same quality and he would even get copyrighted or fined a large sum of money..
  It was only then that he hated this life and career he had, having to live by what people think of you, a few novels popped in his head, if he had the strength to control his life and instill fear into anyone he wanted without caring about what they think, he truly wished for such a life.
  In a matter of weeks Li fan had learned many great lessons, he even felt extremely regretful for leaving that carefree and peaceful life with his parents, becoming a Star was always his dream since childhood, it was only because of the fame, money and admiration he would receive that left him to think that a superstar was the best career in the world.
  Tears overflowed his eyes eyes as he thought about his whole life, he didn't know when but his whole heart had become cold and surrounded by hatred and evilness.
  A cold gale swept by the huge building which Li fan currently stood on, he shuddered as he tightly held his suit together, he currently felt like the whole world hated him, all because he didn't release any new music this week?
  He tightly held his head as another cold gale swept by, a blinding light seemed to fill his vision as he looked up..
  A blazing star shot across the void as it lit up the night sky, creating a wonderful view..
  Li fan felt comfortable inside as he gazed at the shooting star, a sudden thought popping in his head.
  "I should make a wish" he reacted instantly as he prayed deeply in his heart, he slowly opened his eyes thinking the shooting star had long swept past earth..
  The huge shooting star had actually turned half way and was currently flying towards him..
  "Oh shit" Li fan stepped back unconsciously as he looked around, the shooting star was so huge that it's light surrounded even the whole building, he knew there was no where he could escape..
  "Maybe this is better" he said as he gazed at the shooting star hesitatingly, he had already planned on killing himself today to leave this world, he laughed at the fact that a shooting star had actually changed positions in the air and was currently shooting towards him, even though it felt like an illusion he truly wished it was real, so he could leave this harsh world earlier, it was better to Rest In Peace in heaven or hell than to continue living here..

  In a desolate realm, on a dark and rocky planet, millions of souls lined up as they got ready to get their memories erased to reincarnate..
  Li fan was startled as he gazed around, he knew he had truly died, he became speechless as he gazed at the huge towering figures in front, there were many beasts lined up that seemed to be only heard of in fantasy's, in front of him was a tall and bulky human with a horn on his head..
  "Move faster" a demonic voice was hear behind him as he turned around subconsciously, a huge demon held a long whip as it gazed at him.
   Bam!!
 li fan was scared so much that he had actually fell, maybe dying wasn't better?.
  A blinding light lit up around his body as his body disappeared, the demonic figure stared at Li fan as he disappeared, he shook his head in confusion.
  "Did he get sent to another hell gate?" The demon said before walking away from the area, after all being sent to another hell gate was common, the demonic figure decided to forget about it..

Li fan, an ordinary and powerless mortal who chased after fame and power, abandoning those who were close to him and had raised him since his childhood..
  His entertainment career which was at its peak suddenly all came collapsing on him as he lost everything due to the betrayal of his own wife.
 This betrayal had made him realize to treasure those around him and have a strong heart, even though he wished to meet his parents again, due to a shooting star he was instead given a divine system which transmigrated him into the world of immortal cultivation.
   In this new world of immortal cultivators, our protagonist was born in the small Li clan situated deep in the mountains.
  This was the start of a heaven defying adventure, watch as Li fan sweeps throughout all the realms as he challenges even the heavens..

"Ok fine let's eat! All the mushiness is making me barf." we all laughed. 

We partied after that disastrous welcome back party, the first time in my life I saw my mom laughed, I think I'm pretty much like her. We both tend to bottle up our feelings and keep them to ourselves. 

I saw James, Kim,  Liz and Harry talking together, Khan is nowhere I sight, I had the urge of pulling Harry out but I realized that James needs his advices right now. 

I left the house and went straight to our front porch; I sat in the swing that my dad made when we were little. I felt the breeze brush my face and I closed my eyes, for that split second I felt normal. It's as if yesterday is only a dream, a dream where in I wished some parts are not real. I wished that the parts about Harry and James and Kim were all real, and just having leukemia is just a dream.

Please, God, please. If I'll be able to live as long as I needed to, for the people who loves me God, please give me a sign, that when I open my eyes I'll see your answer in that bright horizon. Please, if I'll be able to live through that, would you please say yes through a shooting star?

That's the first time I asked Him about signs, I never believed in it. But I need assurance, I need something to hold on to, I need some proof that all of this, that my still holding on would all be worth it. 

I opened my eyes and looked up; the inky blue sky that has been blanketed by millions and millions of stars that I wish in this moment would show me the sign that I was asking for. Is it possible? That out of millions of beautiful stars one would fall magically fall just to fulfill my only wish? I waited. No star fell from the sky. 

"Emotional much?" he asked.  Interrupting my deep thoughts.

I looked at Khan and just smiled, maybe I should give it some time, some kind of deadline. What are the rules in asking signs anyway?

"What did you wish for."  he asked. 

"Shooting star." I whispered. 

Khan didn't answer after that, I can hear his quite breathing and I felt the Khan that I had fallen in love with then, how silly did I acted back then, I used to get his attention in a different way. I smiled at the silly memories that he and I made.

"I'm really sorry. Cheen" 

I looked at him and he is still looking up in the heavens, as if he is saying it to the stars and not to me.

"Why?" 

I said not looking away; I watched his serene face as he breathe in and out, in and out as if it's the most common thing ever yet different. 

"For not being able to notice your feelings for me way back then." he answered.

"That's ok." I smiled, I'm happy that after everything that Khan and I had been through he's still there for me. Unlike some guys that once they knew that they like you they'll act as if you can't live without them. 

"You know I never really wanted to hurt you." 

"I know." 

"Friends till hell freezes over?" 

"Till hell freezes over. I'm happy that Liz has you." 

"You have me too."

"You know what I mean." 

"I'm happy you are able to change Harry." I laughed, he never looked at me, he just continued to look at the skies as if I am there. 

"Look shooting star!" he said as he pointed vaguely at the heavens. 
I look to where he is pointing and saw nothing.

"You missed it. Let's go inside, it's your party remember?" 

I stood up and when Khan finally went inside I stayed behind a little, gazing at the sky where Khan had seen the falling star. 

Is it the sign that I was asking for? But why haven't I seen it? 
What are the rules in asking for signs anyway? 
Is waiting for Your answer worth it? 

I look back at the room filled with the people that I love, and turned once again to the skies and whispered the question that's been bugging me ever since. 
Is it worth it? Is it still worth to keep on fighting? 

Later that day,  I kept myself busy inside my room doing and thinking about things. 

Paulo Coelho once said that if you want something the whole universe conspires just so you can get it, when Khan saw that shooting star I felt somehow relieved, I still am not reassured that I'll live longer but I felt somehow that God heard my prayer, and he's just merely asking me to wait for the answer. 

I have been a whole lot different when I thought I was Cancer free. I rebel almost half of my life, the moment I learned about the meaning of rebel I immediately lived being one. It's fun at times, having that great feeling when you thought you had broken the rules and had gone beyond your limits. Still you have to deal with the consequences. 

Once I drank until my brain just turned into a fuzzy blur, James almost dragged me into the street screaming curses at me as if those will make me sober; those were the days I wished James were dead. 

Fortunately none of my wishes has been answered yet.

Days went by,  and still I have this sickness. But who knows,  I will be over this soon. I hope so. 

Everyone thinks it was the rain, when suddenly I woke up this morning and decided to cut my hair short. 

If there's one thing in the world that I love besides my life, it'll be my hair, but what will be the use of it if after years of having something to be pretty about is being snatched away from you? 

There is something in the rain that morning, that cold and soft pitter-patter of the raindrops that made me realized that there are certain things in life that ought to be sacrificed. Everyone thought that all of this is about the rain, I suppose, they are right. 

"James! Please go with friend" My mom begged, well mostly threatened James as if he is her son too.  She wants James to accompany me to the salon. 

I know how James hated having to wait an hour just because he hated waiting. 

"He doesn't need to mom. I can go there by myself." 

I tried to persuade my mom to just let James off the hook, he's been my personal slave since my stay at the hospital and mind you his work isn't easy. It's gross but yeah, I usually miss the basin and just vomit in him or Harry. 

My mom looked at my dad defeated, he looked at me and I managed to pull a smile. A reassuring smile that everything is just fine. 

"James, go with Cheen." 
James looked at me and I just shrugged. 

We went to the nearest mall just for the sake of it, when we entered some employee ushered me to an empty stool and she whispered, "she's the best stylist in town," she said pointing at a ginger-haired lady, "there are two girls waiting in line but here's the deal give me your friend's phone number and I'll just pretend not to notice them."

The perks of having a handsome friend. If only they know that his really gay and just act like a man "Sure," I managed with a smile. 

Just then the ginger-haired girl walked towards me and then smiled a little to fake, "What would you want?"

"Chop it off." 

She looked at me as if I had just landed from Mars or something. "You serious?" she asked amusingly 

"Yes please" I answered

"But your hair is so pretty!" She said trying to convince me then. 

"Well…" 

"Hey." She said cutting me mid-sentence, "Will you donate it to some cancer kids? I know someone who helps in charity and she's been coming here often to collect some hair and then she makes it into wigs, your hair will surely make a perfect one. It's for a good cause."

I just nodded at her. Yes it will be a big help indeed.
