I ONLY WRITE SHORT STORIES: THEREFORE EACH CHAPTER WILL BE A DIFFERENT STORY WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE. EACH TITLE WILL BE A NEW STORY. A STORY WITH MORE THEN ONE CHAPTER WILL HAVE NUMBERS IN PARENTHESIS AFTER THE TITLE.

There is no specific update day - I update when I wanna. Each story may/may not have a plot.

A compilation of chapter long stories of different genres to read when you want a small adventure!!!

People of Sisna were in a bad mood because of the cold weather and heavy working life. 

After the cold began, villagers began cultivating Red Lotus. Soon after the first harvest, they started plowing the fields for a second one. In winter, the village always continue harvesting this interesting red wheat. 
Red Lotus was an interesting thing that If there is enough cold, you could continue to harvest. 

But between every plowing and harvest, there was a short growing time. In this time, the village was in a rare holiday. So, everyone began their quiet vacation at home.

Of course, in the two houses of this village, the situation was the opposite.

The first house was the home of Director Munmer, a house where Nihan was a guest and did not leave. The other was the house of the village healer Yuzu. These two houses were already side by side, by which rest of the village could not envy these houses more.

Nihan, as usual, was immersed in telling his stories. These stories were composed of things related of an old war which Nihan had participated in the past. Some of them were the exotic adventures he had with the nobles he had rescued.

"... at that time, I learned the place called "The Red Room" was actually a room that opened to all good tastes of the world. But after tasting all the pleasures, the one entered the room would die no matter what. I thought for a long time in front of the room... but that great noble Bieveng told me these words as an advise so I decided not to enter.. "

Most recently he described what was the red room ", one of the great mysteries dilemma in a distant empire.

He used the names of formerly forgotten old buildings or great heros. He used mostly modified false or half true things about aristocrats, just to create a story that would fill several books' content in a day. But sometimes, just sometimes he would really tell the true stories! But nobody knew this fact. Of course, villagers couldn't separate these strange and unique moments from the other false stories.

While all the people in the manager's house listened the Red Room" with holding their breaths, no one was really sure whether the Red Room was real or not. They wouldn't care if all the story was been made up. 

After a long tired work in the fields, these people didn't care about trivial things like "fiction-forged-false" anymore.

 Probably there was no one alive and still know that place anymore. But no matter how strange it is, at a very distant point on a continent, there was indeed a real building called "Red room". These villagers didn't know that but Red Room was certainly visited by Nihan a long time ago. 

The people in the house were out of their breaths after hearing the story of the day with strange dreams and long debates. In fact, though, they kept listening to these stories all the time. But a couple who were the source of all the tense air in the house fired all the listeners. They knew after every big final of the stories, there was a chance to kick all these people. Every night....every day..

They were Manager Munmer and his wife. Both had simple and calm lives over 60 years. Of course, this man came to the village six months ago and haunted their home.

Whatever they did, they couldn't get rid of the crazy old man. So they started to experience the most animated but comedy-filled moments of their lives.

Same day..

Eren was having a birthday dinner with her mother, grandfather, and Helen, her mother Yuzu's best friend.

He was excited to have Helen as a guest this day, because she was the only girl in the village whose age was close to Yuzu.

Helen was alike every woman of Sisna. She looked exacly 18-19 years old from outside, although her age wasn't certain, she was really young though. The Grandi, which have quite a long life but are very unstable in their ambition or desires, don't have many children. For a long time, even the middle aged Grandi Womans in their prime ages would imitate young girls. But somehow Eren learned that the most young generation in the village were two girls and one boy. Two of the girls were Yuzu and Helen. Eren thought they would be between 20 and 25 at most.

For example, Yuzu seemed to be 21-22 years old even if she was only 2 years older than Helen. If she didn't have a mature aura, with all her acting, with the young and beautiful face she had, Eren would say she was just 17 this year. That's why Eren always found that Yuzu behaved like an adult on purpose.

Anyway, Eren was happy to be around Helen who has both a rare character and very beautiful body. Especially the rare moments when they hugged and slept together were some of the happiest moments in Eren's life. She was mature and different, with strikingly different(sexy) lines and impressively well developed body unlike other Grandies which were normally weak and thin!

She smiled a lot, inquisitively got into every job, decided to do quickly, and sometimes intend to make dirty jokes.

 She was different from most of the surly Grandies in Eren's life.

Even her hair was lighter and brighter than normal grandies have. Sometimes her hair, which turned white" rather than yellow, was unique under the sun. But even white parts of her hair shine like other grandies. 
Eren still have a hard time to understand their hairs and shining thing. "WHY JUST HAİR! IT IS NOT 
SCIENTIFIC."

From the bio class on Earth, Eren knew all of their hair on the body must have shine if Grandies' hair were different. But just hair?

Not fuc**ng scientific!

At the dinner, Eren was eating chicken and rice, as well as a few plants. When the meal was almost over, Eren raised his head and looked the beautiful sexy duo. His step mother Yuzu and her best friend Helen.

"Can I ask something for my birthday?"

Eren looked so honest and pure on this moment. He bent his head to Helen and looked her sweetly.

"Of cource little Er. What do you want?" 

"We should sleep together tonight."

As someone who has decided to leave things like shyness and hesitation behind, sleeping with someone so humorous, pleasant and eye-catching was he had to achieve. Eren didn't leave these wishes to chance or destiny.(F.ck those things) 

 With the smiling Helen, they lay down after an hour. Eren didn't even see Yuzu behind him and his grandfather lying next to them on the sofa.

In those moments, he had already been surrounded by rambunctious thoughts, wrapped in Internet videos and adult thoughts. Helen's hair was constantly played with the hand of Eren. While Eren's little body was wrapped with the hands of a sexy, grown up woman. 

Eren fell asleep with a happy smile.

He had beautiful dreams instead of bad nightmares after sleeping.

Wind ...

Eren waited a few minutes while watching the water's flowing under the bridge. He watched Yuzu and did relieved after seeing she had gone to the field. But Eren still waited a couple minutes for safety. After being sure no one watching him, Eren crossed the bridge and followed the dirt road on the opposite side.

 As he walked with small steps, even the short distance was too long for a little boy.

 When he finally came to the entrance of the altar, he crossed the narrow wooded corridor and walked inside. Right in the middle of the altar, there was the same stone.

He remembered the day he took the bracelet and wore it on da right wrist. It was two years ago. His grandfather gave him the earth bracelet and said all his knowledge about crazy altars and secrets. 

On that day, Eren heard that the bracelet had something people usually didn't have. So wearing these things would fix the lack of concentration and increase intimacy with the elements. That's why he's never taken off the bracelet since then. But now..

He gently took off the bracelet and put it in his pocket. There was a smile on his face but before he felt something, he waited on purpose for a difference! 

 With a sudden heartbeat, as though some of the excitement and vitality in his chest were torn off and taken back. It happened in a second. Like your favourite song was paused from mp3 player while you listening all the time.

 Like a thunder, or a slow motion bad-sci-fi effect. It affect his body, brain and soul both slowly and immediately. But Eren still didn't believe whether there is really a soul in the body, anyway. 

Dumb!

 There was another heartbeat and another one and another.

one by one....then one other .. Dumb!

For the last time in the rhythm, he felt his power and energy "fall" like a teenager's depression does.

He waited for a few minutes to adjust without moving. Although the vitality he used to had decreased a bit, nothing bad happened.

 The element predisposition he had acquired for the last years, or the levels (lvl) he received for short, seemed to have not gone.

He tried to pierce his left palm with a small sharp piece he brought with him. First he had to puncture the lower vein parts by pressing on his palm and hurting his hand in a rookie way. Eren never hurt himself in both lifes he lived. It was sad but even hurting and bleed your hand was harder than it looked in hollywood movies.

With an uncomfortable expression on his face, Eren suppressed his disgust and pain. 

"You wouldn't have made an altar which measuring our levels by spitting saliva, wouldn't you? I swear you must have been a very stupid creator. They say "Holy Sky God". I say just "Brainless moron!

What a stupid lvl measure system !!", Eren lost his composure a little bit, then cursed before hardly relaxing again.

Drops of blood flowed onto the stone. One by one they all went into the stone and disappeared instantly.

The minutes passed, and after about 5 minutes again, the tiny black text appeared on the stone.

If Eren hadn't heard that this shity magic writings were the same language as his ex planet's, perhaps he couldn't have come here on his own.

 But as soon as he heard his grandfather, he was pleased. Clearly, the use of the language and the without including literature meaning behind this, Earth's language in this planet say a lot of things. 

For example right now, Eren was half sure for a guess. "Maybe this is future of the Earth. Or one of many possible futures of it. My memories or soul stuck on the planet somehow and I regained them as becaming Eren again. Borning like a new person but taking these memories made me resemble the old Eren from the past Earth! Anyway. I dont care. Fuck them all. Fuck your magic and gods! I DON'T CARE.."

He lost it again. But this time just a little bit..:/

Anyway after looking the figures, they surprised Eren when the texts on the stone came together for a meaningful way.

"Eren Han Kugyo"

"Yeah yeah we know this, you moron!"

Race: 8/6 Daedra (High Species-Superior Human) .... 8/2 Zzyxzze (Bloody Tooth Type-Monster)

The inheritance element: Electricity ... 7 "... Earth ... 5" ... Mental ... 2 "... Water ... 1" ... Fire ... 1 ". ... Darkness ... 1 "... Air ... 1" ... ... ...!

"Wtf is superior human ha! WTFUCK is this word choices!!!

 All creation are just equal! Beng different doesn't mean any shit in my eyes. Our feelings make a difference but laws, shapes, basic rules or time does not classify the living. They could differ, maybe the life but not the living, you piece of shit!"

Finally when his hard suppressed whisper finished, he saw the exact numbers!

"Holy S..."

Eren was very surprised by the absurd numbers. Also his hand was in pain so his mentality was very sarcastic at that moment.

He read the writings and numbers again with the alphabet he had always known and learned in his old life.

"My shitty native language is fuc...Magic Language here!"

After reading again and again he figured one other thing. Clearly, the scripts looked only one minute and disappeared from stone.

Eren stand up and started to walk back and forth on da floor.

 "Earth Element - Lvl 5 " 

It was quite normal. But what about "Electric Element- Lvl 7!" 

That was something out of his expectations.

He hadn't done a special study on electricity for more than 10 minutes, ignored it because Yuzu would be angry if she notice. Even though he had to sneak occasionally, all his attention and time was for the soil.

How could it be Lvl 7?

"I worked on the wrong element without knowing, Wtf?"

He thought of everything that's logical and also unreasonable, then shook his head again. It just simply disn't make sense. Eren thought, questioned and thought more. A kind of unresponsive answer was there, in his head. But it was hard for him to notice the truth.

When he was meditating for the earth element, he didn't know about the shiny electric energy that had comes out of his hands. If he had a person accompanying him, maybe he would have noticed.

He didn't hear the strange "china" or the "zZzzxzz" voices from the different parts of his body.

In short Eren continued to look at the stone without knowing any shit.

"Fuck you stone!"

After a few more minutes at the altar, he went back the same way and wanted to complete his day's meditation or whatever it is, before the evening came.

He went in his usual place and sat in a proper position to switch to meditation.

One of his hands was on his leg which was crossed. His head was looking down at a very slight angle, but the majority of his chest and upper body was looked across.

F..uurrrr... (very cold winter breeze..)

Eren watched the village from afar while breathing the cold air.

Somehow, just somehow it was hard to endure this ridiculous fantasy crap. Eren was lucky and taking his second chance but all this bullshit was really hard to believe for him.

While taking deep breaths, he watched the sky, Sisna Village and dawn.

Sometimes he was thinking about the old world and what was missing in this village.

Clean Pijamas, restrooms, bathrooms, a stronger warming method in winter, cleaner kitchens and a lot ,Lot More!..

Eren liked and used to sleep in this world with a beautiful woman like Yuzu whom he couldn't even imagine on Earth. But on the other hand, the clutter of the environment and ordinary stagnant life began to disturb him.

Eren sighed thinking about this village and his old planet.

He didn't meditate that day.

"What do elements and levels make anyway. Fucking retards! What do I do with magic, when I have an outfit in shit color?"

Eren couldn't stand the cold anymore and ran home.

*I died as thinking what would've happened if I lived one more time.

Without any friends, without laughter at all, and I'm sure I've never been loved.

No god, no angel, no family, no friend.. Nobody helped me! --- Not even one tiny miracle showed like the movies and books showed us!

I realized that there is no miracle, good luck or perfect coincidences in this life. I gave up of those crap.

I thought everything would end. I'd sleep and rest forever. What a perfect plan for my eternity ha?

That was the fucking plan!

But no. Like Damn Earth wasn't enough, now I must live in this f*cking planet full of "Fantasy Crap".

Everyone keep talking about magic and miracles. "Just shut up would you!"

The village people who talks about evolution, the children blowing fire from their mouth, and the dragons I hear---all of these seem to mocking with me."Don't come closer you piece of.!"

I just want a normal life. I'm sorry but keep away your magic and secondhand miracles from me.  "Wait, I'm not sorry."

On this brand new life, just stay away from me!"

** A story of the rebirth of a person who dies in a life of total misfortune. **

A huge room without any splendid decor.
This was a room with a cold metallic feeling. In the center of the room, Qin Fen didn't see the person he thought he would see. Instead, there was a huge liquid nutrient tank with a human brain floating in it. The brain was protected by a special container with thousands of thin wires attached to it.
There is no one in this room! It was only the brain in that special container in the nutrient tank. It was the only thing exuding a trace of life aura.
"Don't stand at the door, just come in."
The loudspeaker in the room sounded again. A row of computer signals shone softly along with the sound wave.
Qin Fen stepped into the room and looked strangely at the brain in the nutrient tank. He initially thought that there would be a powerful martial artist in this room.
Nowadays, in a society where martial strength reigned supreme, almost every chief who held a high authority in their forces were strong martial artists. However, this center in front of him, which obviously held the highest authority in the base, was not occupied by a powerful martial artist. It could even be said that it had zero combat power as it was just a human brain.
Although academics would compare with each other in terms of academic achievements, the Founding Society obviously did not belong to pure academia. They built a lot of killing machines here. They followed the cruelest rule of survival - those who were useful survived, while those who were useless died.

The atmosphere of the room stiffened up at that instant.
Chen Feiyu looked at the brain with a murderous look. Not just anyone in the Founding Society knew about Chen Feiyu, only the personnel who conducted the experiment and the top leaders of the Founding Society knew about him! Anyone who had participated in that experiment would be Chen Feiyu's enemies!
In this world, except for a few people like Qin Fen, only his enemies in the Founding Society would know the name of Chen Feiyu.
"Reading the data of your vigorous blood flow and the change in the room pressure due to your strength, you are angry now. I'm sorry. Qin Fen sat in the seat and looked quietly at the brain in front of him. The light in the room was dimmed at this time, and a huge projection was projected onto the smooth wall in front of Qin Fen.
It was society before the new technology movement. At that time, society had reached the peak of technology development. However, at the same time there was a great hidden worry of the depletion of energy and resources.
Petroleum was like the blood of Earth. In the era of rapid development, this black blood of Earth was almost dried up. Human experimented with various alternative resources, like the controllable nuclear fusion, solar energy, wind power, and even the methane ice buried deep under the sea -- they were as good as petroleum. These alternatives became the main research subjects of human society at that time.
One day, there was suddenly a new kind of energy in our society. The new energy was inexhaustible, very environmentally friendly and it was truly safe to be used. People called it 'plant energy'.
"Yes, the plant energy!"
The aged voice continued with the story with a hint of excitement, "The plant energy; plants are also considered lives. This lively energy went far beyond humans' imagination. The energy resources problem of the human society seemed to be solved with the discovery of this plant energy..."
The aged voice suddenly turned cold, "It seemed to be solved... everyone thought the problem was solved. Has anyone ever thought of where wheat and corn came from? The Earth is only so big, and we had yet to enter the space era by that time. If we wanted to supply energy to the whole world, then humans would starve to death. We would be starved to death more than once!"
"Ordinary people didn't know how life energy was exchanged. Naturally, they didn't know how much food resources would be consumed." The aged voice sighed, "However, there was somebody who knew about it. The person who invented it knew about the problem very well."
Qin Fen looked quietly at the images on the screen. He could faintly feel that the aged voice was not going to simply talk about some useless old stories.
"Humans are like children, and scientists are like parents who love and spoil their children." The aged voice sounded a little helpless, "Facing the ever-demanding children, the scientists who were just like the loving parents kept on inventing various techniques and inventions to satisfy their children. This time, a scholar from a scientific group had once again opened a 'Pandora's box' filled with sweetness just to meet the children's needs for energy and life resources."
"As we couldn't enter the space era, we couldn't open new agricultural lands on other planets. So, this group of scientists thought of a crazy idea, which was to develop a multidimensional space."
Multidimensional space? Qin Fen raised his eyebrows. This dimension theory was indeed a very famous theory.
"Zero-dimensional space has no length, width, nor height; it's just a simple point. One-dimensional space has only length. Two-dimensional space is a flat world with only length and width. A three-dimensional world is a stereoscopic world with length, width, and height; it's the very world that we see through our naked eyes. A four-dimensional space has a time axis on top of the three original length, width, and height axes; the time axis is an axis with imaginary numbers. According to Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, the three-dimensional space we face in our lives plus the time axis constituted the so-called four-dimensional space."
Qin Fen just nodded and didn't speak. This brain who lived through many years told them about the dimension theory, which was not at all an unfamiliar theory for a high school graduate of one of the top three high schools in Asia. The brain was probably explaining this for Chen Feiyu's sake.
"A dimension is a collection. The most basic element of it is the point. A collection of points will form a line plane. Time is formed by the movement of the three dimensions. This would be the best way for humans to explain the fourth dimension. To put it simply, the fifth dimension is formed by the movement of the fourth dimension." The aged voice paused a little, "When humans captured the time axis of the four-dimensional space -- the Pandora's box -- the five-dimensional space was opened by the hands of scientists..."
Qin Fen frowned slightly. Was that the monster I saw that day in the Saturn's forest existing within the five-dimensional space? 
"Young man, I know what you are thinking, but things are not the way you think." The aged voice stopped again. The projected image showed a huge land of plains and mountains. Nothing was there except for lands and mountain ranges. 
"This was a brand new dimension opened by humans. Inside was a virgin land that was completely pure and waiting to be developed..." The aged voice was excited, "However, the human society couldn't wait for a complete growth cycle of wheat fields because we were critically lack of energy resources. Therefore, this scientific group chose to open the Pandora's Box. Scientists had laid their hands on the time axis, they had greatly accelerated the time in this vast dimension! When a person lives in there for a long time, he will find that only a very short while has passed in the world on this side. In this way..."
Qin Fen looked at the barren land shown through the projection. It quickly grew into a vast, lush green wheat field with the work of the automated planters and seeders. They didn't need to spray any pesticides. It was a borderless green vegetable field; it was a borderless orchard!
A large amount of food was transported to the human world. They were then turned into the energy that humans needed, and they played a role in every corner of the society. An energy crisis that had almost destroyed the world had been solved yet again by this scientific group!
Science and technology started to develop rapidly again. The discovery of Atlantis' ruins, the advent of the human near-space era; history was being shown rapidly through the images.
"What a wonderful Pandora's Box." The aged voice sighed with rich emotion, "How nice it would be if everything just went on that way. However, the scientists had neglected one thing -- or I should say they realized it but they didn't think that it would be that serious -- Pandora's dimension had a much faster time than our current dimension, so as time went on..."
"Evolution..." Qin Fen blurted out his guess as he looked at the projected images. Plant-feeding insects grew on the plants eventually. This was an unavoidable fact. The growth of various plants had eventually given birth to other lives.
As various insects began to appear, there would naturally be new evolutions happening. This kind of evolution didn't seem terrifying, but it couldn't be completely eliminated. Humans couldn't afford to stop as they gradually started getting a higher demand for energy at that time.
A kind of insect appeared in front of Qin Fen. Its shape looked a bit like a bee, but it didn't have wings like a bee. This weird bee didn't feed on pollen or nectar, it fed on other insects!
It was carnivorous and aggressive!
"The time inside was changing too fast. The observation satellites that were sent would be out of service within a very short period of time. The scientific group couldn't keep a close monitor of the situation inside. The only thing they could do was to build all kinds of powerful automated attacking machines and spray all types of pesticides in order to eliminate those insects."
Qin Fen shook his head several times. If pesticides could actually kill insects, human society would have long been free from insects. Food chains would be destroyed without insects, animals would be gone, and humans might have died out as well. 
"Yes, you are right in shaking your head." The aged voice said with a bit of self-mockery, "You must know: the scientific groups actually knew about it as well, so they began to think about making remedial measures."
The weird bee shown in the projected image had already grown to the size and height of an ordinary human. Especially the huge Queen Bee, which had grown into a size of three men combined!
In the evolution of this new dimension, it was that kind of bee-like insect instead of human beings that had grown.
"They had a relatively strong build, but they stood no chance against humans. As long as the scientists controlled their scientific and technological development, these creatures shouldn't have been able to do anything big."
"Yes, you are still right for shaking your head this time. The shortcoming of scientists is that we trusted the power of science too much. We have ignored the power of the physical body and the power of evolution."
The projection on the wall continued with the story. The initial offspring produced by the Queen Bee was not much different from the ordinary bee, but as she consumed different kinds of food and, being unable to utilize the power of science, her body evolved again. What she then produced was not an ordinary monster that looked like a bee.
The Queen Bee ate a fish this time, and then she ate a human-like gorilla. The next batch of bee eggs hatched. It was a creature with the base body structure of a standing gorilla, it had the ability of a bee, and was covered with fish scales.
"Fish-scaled gorilla!" Qin Fen shouted out the name of the creature in the projected image in surprise. This was the mutated creature that he had fought in the Golden Triangle on that day!
The Queen Bee in the projection died. The new Queen Bee she produced had the ability to walk upright, but she had a huge ovipositor on her posterior. She had six upper limbs that looked like human arms, but those limbs were not as strong as a human's body. She had strong legs that supported her in running. She had bee's antennas which could sense the danger at a distance and allowed her to avoid it in time.
The process of evolution was originally slow but the process of evolution was happening rapidly within this dimension with special time flow. Generation after generation of Queen Bees died, and more generations were born and evolved.
They grew from reptiles to creatures that could walk upright. They had all kinds of different appearances. They could also mate with each other to produce the same offspring, while some of them had no fertility. All of them shared a common characteristic: to serve their one and only Queen Bee.
"The scientific group started to areally feel fear by that time, because the physical strength of the creatures went beyond their imagination. They started to attack the automated united harvesting and sowing machines, and began to destroy the pesticide sprayers that were built to eliminate them."
"As a result, the scientific group had made a decision! A decapitation strike! All they needed to do was to kill this one and only Queen Bee."
On the projection screen, it was shown that a group of well-equipped mercenaries with excellent martial strength went into this world. 
Qin Fen watched and could be sure that he was not wrong with one of his previous guesses. The guess was… there was no alien! All of these were just by-products produced by human scientists during the process of helping fellow human beings.


"Qin Fen had once been abandoned and broken until, one day, he picked up a liquid metal ball that turned his life upside down.
This is the interplanetary era where Classical and Modern Wushu are competing. Classical Wushu enables followers to grow as powerful as dragons and elephants, whereas Modern Wushu enables followers to freeze monsters or even extinguish erupting volcanoes.

When mankind ventured out into space, we never suspected what was to come. Our first inhabited planet was less than thirty light-years away, far closer than we would have thought. The issue?

Everyone was dead.

The entire planet was like that, a perfectly stable world with no issues that we could determine, and yet it seems the suicide rates were the greatest cause of death among the people. We don't know why, but they apparently had been doing this for some time. Years of study later showed that the reptile-like race had taken nearly ten times as long as we did to reach the industrial age, and had not gotten very far beyond that.

Time went on, and we soon discovered that this was not an isolated occurrence. Species after species had killed each other and themselves off for one reason or another. Some had died off so early only a few stone monuments marked that they had ever been there, some had established empires spanning nearly a dozen systems. But always they were all dead, down to the last child.

And so we traveled the stars, colonizing the lost homeworlds we found, along with others. We studied the creatures on many worlds, although none bore intelligent life. In time we studied the technology of the more advanced dead races, gleaming a scientific secret or two we had missed. It was rather amusing to see the scientific community collectively slap their heads when they see the simple ideas and concepts they had missed.

Once, and just once, we found a sentient race still alive. On a planet with 3/4th the gravity of earth, a planet primarily dominated by jungles bore a race of insect-like scavengers. They were barely beyond the Stone Age, farming and agriculture still in its early days.

We considered making contact, but in the end decided against it. They were a very violent race, and many would kill one another for the smallest detail. Suicide also seemed to be something they would resort to with little or no good reason. In fact the entire race seemed insane. Long-term observation showed that after hatching the individual would slowly but surely go insane, to the point where none reached old age. In fact the only reason this race had not yet gone extinct is a combination of high birth rates, short life spans, and a child being able to defend itself hours after birth. In any other race this bizarre affliction can and did drive them to extinction.

For nearly seven hundred years, mankind grew and expanded. We did not find another living race during that time, or find out how we were immune. Many came up with theories, but none fit better than any others. Ethnic, religious, and cultural differences became less important when you were away from Earth, and in the end those who could not agree simply lived on different worlds. The UTA, United Terran Alliance, controlled over 87% of mankind's colonies from its seat of power on Earth. A few rogue factions cropped up, piracy and smuggling saw a rebirth in this new space age, and mankind went on as it always had.

Then a moment that would change our history came. The UTA Dreadnought "Supremacy" was in essence a city in space. Constructed with our most advanced technology, to the point where systems were updated during construction, and having a length of nearly seven miles, it was the mightiest ship we had ever created. The Supremacy was sent to investigate a new world our long-range sensors show had space-age technology upon it. It was farther out than we had ever traveled before, but not by much. It was assumed that this would be just another dead world, that we might find some usable raw materials pre-harvested in the form of abandoned constructions in orbit.

What we found was an outpost of a space-faring race, its people still alive and well. Dozens of ships were in orbit around a rocky empty world, along with a space dock to repair and refuel them. They were remarkably primitive compared to our own, and much smaller. The largest was perhaps the length of a football field, if that. From the scarring and damage, along with the derelict ship floating nearby of a different make, they had been fighting not too long ago.

Our first contact did not go so well, however. We would later piece together what happened, and it went something like this. As soon as what might have at the time been the largest spaceship in the galaxy appeared on top of them, the race known as the Kondar were sent to the edge of panic. The commander tried to keep a disaster from occurring and ordered his ships not to open fire. Communications on both sides failed, we ourselves had long ago stopped carrying any equipment or training our crew for first-encounters, and apparently the Kondar had not had any first contacts of their own in hundreds of years. It also didn't help that our subspace communications were just advanced enough that the garbled words the poor Kondar picked up on their outdated systems sounded horribly sinister and alien even by the wide standards of the galaxy as it now was.

One of the Kondar gunmen on the closest ship had a panic attack after hearing our garbled transmission. He fired upon the Supremacy, which in a placating gesture had lowered its shields. The shot was able to breach the hull at a single point, and cost the lives of three crewmen. The captain of Supremacy ordered the shields raised and a warning shot fired. Unlucky for the Kondar, the concept of warning shots was alien to them, and they did not stop to ask why the single shot had missed.

It was a short fight. The Supremacy blew away a single craft to secure its escape victor; a sad but necessary tactic. This only hurt our reputation further, with what happened later.

As we soon discovered, nearly 3% of the galaxy was part of what was known as the "Veil of Madness". Any race within this sector of space would slowly but surely go insane. Short jaunts were safe enough, but more than that and permanent damage to the mind would result. We had apparently been sitting in the galactic equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle, and had finally breached its edge. When the Kondar realized that both our entrance and escape vectors lead directly into the veil, a panic started. With surprising speed, news spread among their people, and among others, of what had happened.

The story grew worse with each retelling, especially once it left official military reports. Tales of the titanic black ship that came from beyond the veil, sent out signals in a horrid dark language, obliterated dozens of the Kondar's finest warships in seconds for no reason, and then vanished like a ghost soon spread everywhere. Humanity had become the bogeymen of the universe.

Raids from pirate groups further cemented our dark reputation, and in time we came to work with the role. Every attempt to convince people that we wanted fair negations was seen as a deception. Rather than fight a losing battle, we played to the role given to us. Soon we were seen as 'wicked but not unreasonable' and gained both fear and respect throughout the galaxy. Few humans appeared in view of aliens outside of deliberately frightening power armor, and human ambassadors used voice synthesizers to sound like that first garbled communication had.

Looking back, it's actually worked out in our favor. After years of contact, most alien races know almost nothing about humans other than exaggerated horror stories; they rarely bother us, and the ones that do never return home.

The only bit of info we were more than happy to share with them was the reason we can live in the veil. Turns out we were all a little crazy to start with. I think the fact that we're pulling the largest practical joke in the galaxy was already proof enough of that...

In addition to its anime, comics and games culture, Japan was also world-renowned for the paranormal; haunted cities, creepy forests, all sorts of urban legends and incredible stories. The Japanese were a society that worshipped ghosts.
Holding an annual National Ghost Summit, groups from all over the country would put on live performances under the theme of "local ghost stories" in a nationally-ranked competition. Such activities preserved Japan's ghost culture throughout the years.
Even for an island that regarded the hills and seas as being ruled by other-worldly beings, the survival of the paranormal culture to this day is nothing short of intriguing.
Although rational scientific thought would advocate for doing away with supernatural belief, in the eyes of the Japanese, ghosts, and spirits were just as tangible and real as the Earth and stars themselves.
Japan's reputation for its horror culture peaked as the movie, Ring, terrified audiences across the globe. However, the paranormal was not bound to merely a movie category. As long as ghosts and spirits remained close to humans, hearsay and folklore would keep the notion of the dead, alive.
Kimura Kazuki believed that many paranormal stories were created from the figment of human imagination and experience, seemingly ghostly, but not. Yet, not all accounts were made up blindly. Some of them were real. So then the question was, how can the existence of the paranormal be proven?
Kazuki did not know.
Naturally, he turned to the most straightforward answer- the internet.
However, Kazuki quickly realized that there was too much information on ghosts online. Most were fake; written to create an air of suspenseful horror. Other than that, the supposed "truth" was only fabricated as promotional gimmicks by those with influence.
Kazuki skimmed past and ignored the locations of Japan's sacred suicide grounds. As those who commit suicide had no intention to cling onto life, they are assumed to have no fixation.
Without fixation, there could not be any triggering of Worldly Reiki- leading to no formation of ghosts. As such, the common belief of suicide supposedly leading to the creation of ghosts is false.
Before the recuperation of Reiki, there are two types of ghosts.
Evil ghosts and benign or good ghosts.
Evil ghosts are said to be culminations of large amounts of hatred toward certain people or things before their death. While good spirits were characterized by their unwillingness to leave this world due to a deep fixation on certain people or things.
It was no secret that Kazuki was more willing to meet the latter. Even if good ghosts were not necessarily 'good,' they were, at the very least, able to communicate with humans clearly, allowing him to understand their requests fully.
However, what bothered Kazuki was the fact that good ghosts were not easy to find, as very few stories are known about them. On the other hand, evil spirits are less hidden.
The search for a good ghost would have to be limited to cases of accidents. This evil ghosts less rare to come by, as long as an eye was kept on criminal investigation cases.
Cases involving murder, domestic abuse, bullying, or debt collection would result in large amounts of hatred, leading to evil ghosts. Luckily, these cases were commonly reported on by news anchors and the media because of the attention they could grab.
Throughout the night, Kazuki filtered through the internet for news on criminal investigation cases. He didn't restrict his search to within Tokyo.
Though only a sophomore, his status, and good grades in Sakura Kyu wouldn't make it difficult for him to apply for a couple of weeks leave. As long as he maintained his grades, the Principal could not care less about where he went.
Not even the Dean of Sakura Kyu could discipline him, let alone the students. After all, the student council president was a member of the Sword Believers' Club.
At midnight, Kazuki concluded his research as his phone ran out of battery. Just after a few hours of sourcing from the internet, he already had a plan.
Akichi High School in the Herian District would be the first site of investigation since it's the closest. The Herian District was next to the district of Jinwen, roughly 10 minutes of travel by tram.
After a moment of contemplation, Kazuki charged his phone and went to sleep. From what he discovered earlier in the day, he needed a good night's rest.
The next day, Kazuki got up, took a shower, and gave his teacher a call to take the day off. He left the house soon after but didn't go directly to Akichi High School.
Instead, he went to the store to buy some brushes and ink, the pharmacy to buy some cinnabar and a shroud shop to get some yellow talisman paper.
Kazuki was going to draw talismans.
The Enchanted Talisman Skill was an ordinary skill that was used during the era of the recuperation of reiki.
Enchanted Talisman Skill, Alchemy, Weapon Refinery and Tactical Formations were the four main sideline occupations after the recuperation of reiki.

On the other hand, in the 21st century it is naive to think that after the masters of the genre of writing short stories, geniuses and just masters who have gotten their hands on the writing of works of art, a new genre can be created.

One way or another, I will not endow the main character with super powers, only those that were in the novel "Magic Coin Jiang." It can be with a part of truncated functions.

Or maybe he'll send Dar to the 7th century ... a couple of years before Li-Ban's trip or while sending Li-Ban to the desert ... but then, it will be difficult for the Chinese, who know a lot about cooking noodles, to surprise them and make your business successful.
