this is NOT a book so don't complain about wasting one's time ?

I wonder how many will read this. It is but the words written by a madman lacking sleep. Written only in the middle of the night for extra crazy.

Will this book be read I know not. But I can assure you I am probably mad.


I also wonder how people find this. By accident? Definitely not on purpose. Do they read it and laugh, do they read and say this person is an idiot? I wonder.


The Cocker Spaniel that Meng Li brought over was well trained, and didn't bark or wander around everywhere. It lay quietly on the floor, sniffed, blinked its big eyes, and stared at the kitchen of the small restaurant, where the aroma of cooked food was coming from. 
Zhang Zian took a few sips of his orange juice, then thought silently about the letters on the napkin.　　
Since they were talking about science fiction, he remembered a fiction story he'd read in the past. He asked, "Professor Meng, I'm wondering if you've read a short fantasy story, called the Book of Sand?"　　
"Book of Sand?"　　　　
This time, it was Meng Li's turn to feel shocked. He was bending over to comb out his Cocker Spaniel's fur. Cocker Spaniels had naturally curly long fur, which easily tangled and needed frequent combing. Otherwise, they would look sleazy. Besides from studying, his graduate students had another assignment to comb the dog's hair, which made them joke that they were working at a cotton mill.　
Meng Li thought for a while and was certain that this name was unfamiliar. He hadn't read it.　　
"Like I said, I rarely read science fiction. Most of the books I read are about math. You have to keep learning these days, otherwise you'll get outdated very easily." He smiled. "Is this Book of Sand an interesting read?"　　
"No, despite the fact that it's called Book of Sand, it's not an actual book, but a short fantasy story with only 2000 words. The author is the Argentinean writer, Jorge Luis Borges. This is his most recognized work," explained Zhang Zian. He'd read the story a long time ago, but he still remembered it because it was so mind-blowing.  
"Oh?" Meng Li was slightly interested. "In math, brevity is beauty. A story of 2000 words is somehow this author's most recognized work? It must be deep in thought and artistic. What is it about?"　　
Zhang Zian recalled this science fiction story and began retelling it.　　
In the beginning of Book of Sand, the hero was an ordinary man living in an ordinary house. One day, a stranger visited him with a suitcase. The stranger was selling the Bible, but the man was not interested, as he already owned a few Bibles. Then the stranger took out another book. It wasn't a Bible, but the cover read The Holy Book.　　
After flipping open The Holy Book, the protagonist found that the page numbers were odd. They weren't in sequential order, but completely random. Most importantly, the page number of the book was endless, and he could never find the beginning nor the end. New pages always appeared out of nowhere, and the book had pictures like a dictionary.　　
The stranger said that he bought this book from a village. The salesperson called it The Book of Sand, as it was endless like sand.　　
It was a very strange book, but the stranger was willing to sell it to the man at a relatively low price. In fact, he'd wanted to get rid of it for a long time.　　
After getting this book, that man also became its slave. He stopped going out, for he loved the book so much that he couldn't step away from it. He studied it all day and night, because of his obsessive interest in it. He could no longer sleep. And even if he did sleep, he dreamed about it all the time.　　
Like the stranger, the man suddenly realized that his life would be completely ruined if he continued on this way. So he decided to get rid of this nightmare just as the stranger did.　
After getting this far, Zhang Zian suddenly started acting mysterious and asked, "Can you guess how the hero got rid of the book?"　　
Meng Li was completed drawn in by this odd story. He stopped combing the Cocker Spaniel's fur and took a guess. "Did he sell it to somebody else, like the stranger did?"
Zhang Zian smiled. "He did something smarter. He hid it like a tree in the forest. When nobody was watching, he hid the book on a bookshelf of a national library with 0.9 million books, and tried not to remember which shelf it was. He never even visited the street where the library was."　　
Meng Li knocked on the table with excitement. "Great idea! If he did so, this Book of Sand could no longer be found, unless some extremely unlucky guy picked it up, with a chance of 1 out of 0.9 million!"　　
Zhang Zian smiled bitterly.  This extremely unlucky is sitting right in front of you, and offered you a glass of orange juice.　
He remembered that when Pi first arrived at the pet shop, it would make a gesture of slipping sand out of its hand. Back then, he thought that it was referring to the sand of Ganges river. Could he be wrong?　　
"So is the story is over?" Meng Li was looking forward to hearing more.　　
Zhang Zian nodded. "It's finishes with an open ending. Professor, is this Book of Sand similar to The Hyperwebster Dictionary?"
Meng Li said, "Indeed. But the Hyperwebster is more rigorous, and it does have a beginning."　　
Zhang Zian agreed on this. The Hyperwebster was a theory of science, but the Book of Sand was a fantasy of literature. They shared some similarities only in certain aspects.
"Either the Hyperwebster or the Book of Sand, if they do exist, would be very precious. Aren't they? They would be the most impressive books on Earth. Or if there are other civilizations in the universe, could they come up with better books?" he asked.　　
He remembered that Galaxy once said the nameless book was the most impressive book on the earth, but not in the universe.　　
Meng Li asked, "Impressive? Of course. Except that both books have limitations, which is because they're written in English, and are limited to the 26 letters. Some ideas can't be expressed by just 26 English letters. If some civilization in the universe has a more comprehensive linguistic system, they could theorize a better version of the Hyperwebster."　　
Zhang Zian nodded. This confirmed Galaxy's remark.　　
"If you got a copy of the Book of Sand, or the Hyperwebster, what would you do?" He tentatively asked again.　　
Meng Li was drinking his orange juice. He stopped after hearing these words.　　
"Get a copy? Neither of these two book are supposed to exist in real life. How would I get a copy?" He pushed the question back with a scientist's rationality.　　
"In theory, let's suppose you had one." Zhang Zian clarified.　　
"Well..." Meng Li thought about it. "If I got the Book of Sand, I might read it. If I would end up getting obsessed over it like the man from the story...I'm not sure, maybe. A lot of people crave knowledge, after all. But if I got the Hyperwebster, well, it's hard to say. The words might be in random order. I wouldn't be able to read even if I try. Perhaps I would give it to the government." 　　
He was half joking.　　
"This is my other question." Zhang Zian ignored his joke. "If the words in the Hyperwebster are in random order, how can you know that it contains all knowledge and all of the great writings?"　　
Meng Li murmured, "This is theoretical. Theories are theories, after all. They never consider the obstacles of actually reading it."　　
Zhang Zian continued. "Have you heard this quote: My life has an end, but knowledge is endless?"　　
"Yes. I may be a mathematician, but I know this famous quote." Meng Li smiled. "It means that, our lives are limited, but knowledge is limitless. How is this related to our discussion about the Hyperwebster and the Book of Sand?"　　
"It is, in fact, very much related." Zhang Zian spoke firmly. "Professor Meng, do you know the second half of this quote?"　　
"Well..." Meng Li had no idea.　　
The first half of this quote was well-known, but the second half was often ignored. A lot of famous quotes were like this. People only took the parts that they needed, and twisted the original meanings. Such as the quote: When your parents are still around, you travel too far. It was often used to teach people to treat their parents properly. However, in the original text of Confucius, the second half was: If you travel, you must have a plan.
"The second half is: Chasing the endless with the limited is dangerous!" Zhang Zian answered his own question.　　
Meng Li considered the second half of the quote, and compared it to the first half. Then he said with uncertainty, "I'm not an expert in ancient literature. The second half means pursuing unlimited knowledge with my limited life is doomed to fail?"　
"Correct."　　
"Our ancestor's words still make sense today," exclaimed Meng Li.　
"I agree," said Zhang Zian half-heartedly. This was all his self-reflection. He understood something, more or less.　　
That untitled book, whether it was the Hyperwebster or the Book of Sand, or some other imaginary book of another civilization in the universe, was endless. But human beings were still limited. Pursuing the neverending with the limited was destined to fail. Therefore, nobody could read the nameless book on their own. As he flipped open the nameless book in attempt to understand it, he was making this mistake.
The man from the Book of Sand, out of his thirst for knowledge, was making the same mistake as well. He didn't realize that knowledge was without bounds, but his time was limited.　
It really was true. My life has an end, but knowledge is endless. Chasing the endless with the limited is dangerous!　　
Unless...　　
Meng Li realized this at the same time. "A limited person cannot read an endless book, unless there are endless numbers of people. If an infinite number of people are reading the Hyperwebster at the same time, and each person is extracting meaningful words and connect them into lines and articles, then they are pursuing infinity with infinity."　
"But how can there be infinite numbers of people? It's still meaningless." He shook his head and sighed.　　
No, it is meaningful, said Zhang Zian silently to himself.　　
He understood why Galaxy could read the nameless book. It had been through an infinite number of reincarnations, and had the infinity feature.　　
Famous was going through reincarnations with Galaxy in the Imagined World, and touched the border of infinity. That was why it could see blurry words.　　
Pi could read it, as it must have also possessed the infinite feature.　　
One could only understand the nameless book by pursuing infinity with infinity.

Picking up his smartphone Shaheer answered the call that came moments ago disturbing the flow of his newfound Qi channeling throughout his body.
"Aren't you comin' for swimming? I've been waiting for you outside for quite some time now." A familiar voice spoke out from the phone.
"Today is not a good time for me" Shaheer replied with a carefree voice. 
"At least inform me when you call quits!" the voice said sounding annoyed.
"I would keep that in mind, although I've never asked you to wait for Me." Shaheer said, reminding him that his request was absurd.
"That's true but still, well, if you not coming then I'll be going ahead. Bye! 
Shaheer cancelled the phone call as he also cancelled his routine swimming because he decided to go at a library. Shaheer occasionally visits the library whenever that he feels he need a break. In addition, he is a knowledge maniac. He knows that knowledge is not a product of schooling but of the like long attempt to acquire it.
Sorting out his plans, he went downstairs and called out Jiya to tell her that he would be leaving. Shaheer also informed the babysitter they hired to look after Jiya day and night, as there are times when both the adults in house are out just like a similar situation here.
After that he excused himself promising Jiya that he would have the pastry when he comes back home who was giving him a hard time to leave telling him they would be ready soon.
Shaheer started his bike wearing the helmet that completely fits in style for him, zooming down the roads like a fish swimming in water. He choose a motor bike as his personal vehicle as this experience for him was the calmest of all. He often took off on a road trip with his bike to focus or get inspiration. While riding down the roads with unimaginable speed, he feels calm and the moment becomes vivid and clear like seeing the world from a different perspective. The experience Shaheer was having now was calmer and he could see a lot more than he used to. He was focusing on all the things even the slightly unbalanced roads, taking in the information, zipping between the cars. It was a feeling that cannot be describe in words and could only be share with the motor bikers when they enter the zone whilst driving. The clearer perspective and the calmer experience than before was all because of a notification Shaheer cancelled when he started his bike's engine.

He came to a halt in front of the Defence Central Library and took off his helmet while locking the bike in the parking lot.
Shaheer has always felt good buried in books gaining knowledge. He had an extremely good memory; close enough to the ability many called photographic memory. He can remember a lot from the book he read once but cannot actually recall it word by word. This being the reason he was not crown by the title of photographic memory holder. This did not bothered Shaheer, as he never started to read to be good at memorizing. It was more like a hobby he developed due to his curious nature for the worldly stuff, which he fulfilled with books and books filled with knowledge.
He entered the library after showing the guard his membership card he held on with since he was ten years old. That makes this card seven years old itself.
The thing he admired the most about this library was that it was constant and never changing. They have kept their interior the same as when he first came here with a few non-visible changes. The only change that ever occurred around here was the people and the new library books. This provided Shaheer a nostalgia feeling which he was not able to feel anywhere else as his life has been ever changing. 
He went around the reception and started to walk around the bookshelves trying to search a book for a good read. He went to the encyclopedia section, as these books were the most relaxing read and extremely knowledgeable he found out of all. He was going through the books in which most of them were already been read by Shaheer. After surfing around a bit, his eyes caught an imbalance. A book, which was extremely thin that it could only be a ten pager, was between two huge books called encyclopedia of the sociology and governance. 
The book was place in a way that only the eyes actively searching for this particular book would be able to notice it. Shaheer had already visited this aisle and even read one of the book called encyclopedia of sociology, so chances of him missing this book was very slim but there was always a possibility of it being a new addition, but his instincts tell otherwise.
He draw the book out and read the title, which he found interesting. "Meditation"
'Why is it here?' Shaheer practically had no use of this as he has more proficiency in meditating then most of the monks who meditate for almost their whole life. However, his curiosity was at its peak and his instincts were yelling him to read this book so in the end he sat down deciding to give this book a chance to present itself worthy.
He opened the book with expectation in his eyes, but it felt as the world had pranked him and holding in its laughter because of the silent sign hanging everywhere in the library. It was the basics of the basic manual provided to kids in meditation classes. After two pages Shaheer even looked back to see if there was an author for this book but there was no name to be found, neither at the back nor in the front."
This library is not a place where they would keep books without an author name. Even if they did take a book like this due to its increasing popularity, at least they would make sure that 'anonymous' is written under the author's name. However, there was not a single word of author as if it was a brochure of meditation for kids.
Shaheer was not ready to believe that this was all there is to it as when he first saw the book, the first thing he noticed was it was planted in a way that it would become an irritation for a person who possess a keen eye and he would eventually notice it. Also never have his instinct failed him before and he was still sure there is more to this somehow so he continue from where he left.
Throughout the book, his face had a disappointed look, which anyone can clearly point out, until he reached the last line. Before reading the last line, Shaheer noticed that it was a quote.
Remember, "The goal of meditation isn't to control your thoughts, it's to stop letting them control you"
After few seconds of comprehending those lines, realization struck him as a face that screams 'I knew it' came into view. Shaheer was looking for this cliché moment from the start. It was obviously words of someone with deep profound knowledge about meditation. His mind went numb and clear at the same time. In his head, the whole book was revised again with a new and different perspective. It became clear to Shaheer as to why the book was the based on the basics of the meditation as he connected the dots, because after reading that quote, anyone would get enlightenment and they would like to review the meditation from the very start disregarding whatever they already know.
After the flashback of the book, a familiar sound went off in his head.

Classroom Chaos: So in 8th grade I used to read during class a lot. At the time I was reading an Artemis Fowl book, and for some reason I had two copies of the same book. So one day in my English class we were reading this other book (which I had already finished reading three days earlier), I was reading my own book and when it was finally my turn to read, I had no idea where we were. So the teacher took my book away, I found my spot, read the part and passed it to the next person to start reading.

So after I read my part, I took out my second copy of Artemis and picked up right where I left off. Skip a few minutes ahead, gets back to my turn to read, and again I don't know where we are. So teacher takes a look at me, sees the book in my hands, then back to her desk obviously confused for a second. But shrugs it off knowing it's me she's dealing with (I've caused similar problems like this before), takes my second book and puts it on her desk, and makes me read my part.

Now my friend that sat two chairs down from me was also reading Artemis at the same time as me and with a quick look to him he knew exactly what I was planning. He took it out and passed it over without hesitation. I opened to a random spot and just pretended like I was reading. (At this point it was just to mess with my teacher.)

So skip forward again and my teacher sees me with the book again and says, "How many of those do you have?" I gave my smartass remark as "enough." She took away that book, too. But now at this point I was out of books, and the rest of my class knew it. But the teacher didn't know I was out. So she continued with her lesson and another friend of mine took two of her books and switched out two of the Artemis books on her desk to make them look like they were still there.

He passed the books slowly around the room, one at a time, until they were back to me. Then I took one out, opened to a random spot and just kept it open, waiting to get caught. I silently signaled to a few people in class and they started laughing. The teacher looked at what they were laughing at and saw me with yet another book. She looked at her desk where there were seemingly 3 Artemis books and saw me with a 4th. She took it, walked back to her desk, put it down, turned around, and saw me with the second book that got taken back on my desk!!!

The teacher thought she was going to win this game but underestimated my teamwork with my classmates. So the second she came over to me to take the seemingly 5th book, another classmate took back the other two books from her desk and split them up—sending one to me one way, and the other another way.

The teacher was very flustered and laughing hysterically at this point and there was no more teaching going on. The entire class was also going ballistic trying to see who would win. It was just a game of "How many books does this one 8th grader have?"

So at the end of the class she thought she had taken 11 books from me. I took pity on her and told her what was really happening. I told her that I had already read the first book, and all the teamwork that went on. We were both laughing and making jokes. In the end she agreed to let me read my own books as long as I kept track of the actual book we were reading. (Meaning, I ask the person next to me tell me when it's my turn and they point out my spot to read so I don't actually have to keep track.)

If it weren't for Jin Liwei's quick reflexes, the damn girl would have already bloodied and broken his nose.
His hands reacted before thinking and caught her fist. His eyes contracted, silently shocked at the power packed behind the dainty fist.
"Be good," he growled.
The damn girl, no, the damn young woman jumped off the couch the next second and moved far away from him. Her eyes looked fierce as she glared at him, looking like a tigress about to bite his head off.
He raised an eyebrow, walked around to the front of the couch where she was sitting just a second ago, and picked up the Russian book she dropped on the floor.
"I was just going to ask a question. No need for such overreaction," he said, flipping through the pages of the book. He frowned. He couldn't read a single word.
Feeling like she really overreacted, Iris Long forced herself to calm down but didn't let her guard down.
For some reason, she felt that the man was dangerous. He wore a sharp business suit, looking powerful and handsome.
Her heart beat faster. Huh?
Jin Liwei sat down. "Long Xiulan, can you even read this thing?"
She inhaled sharply, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. How did this damn man know Iris' birth name?
"Who are you?" she asked, suspicious.
"Do you even know Russian?" he asked, completely ignoring her question.
She frowned. "What I read or what I know is none of your business." Then she added, "Sir."
She cautiously approached him, intending to take her book back from his hands and her purse on the couch and then run far away from this suspicious man. Dom should be arriving soon.
Jin Liwei rummaged inside his briefcase and took out a folder. "Let's see if you can read this." He pushed the folder to her.
She slapped the folder away and tried to take her book back. The damn man, however, took her poor book hostage.
"Read the folder first and tell me what it's about. Then maybe I'll believe that you can really read this Russian book," he told her.
He was mocking her, right? How dare he? She didn't give a whit whether the damn man believed her or not. Besides, who was he anyway?
She considered abandoning her poor book and leaving immediately, but her eyes caught something familiar printed on his folder. She grabbed the folder and started reading.
Jin Liwei watched the damn girl—no, she looked like a young woman now—looking so serious as she read the Russian business proposal. He smirked but maintained an indifferent expression on his face.
Did she really think that she could impress people by pretending to know Russian?
He already investigated everything about her. She started working in showbiz from a young age, barely attending school. If not for her father's influence, she wouldn't even graduate from senior high school. Her grades weren't impressive either.
So unless she secretly studied on her own, which he seriously doubted, he wouldn't believe that she knew any foreign languages aside from English, much less Russian.
He was also inside the restaurant earlier attending a business lunch with fellow investors. Like everyone else, he turned his attention to the young woman singing and playing the piano.
He thought that she looked familiar, later realizing that she was Long Xiulan, or more known by her stage name Iris Long―the damn girl he ordered to be monitored.
Reports about her kept on mentioning how she acted very differently to how she was before the accident, but it was only now that he understood when he saw her with his own eyes. However, he didn't believe that someone could change just like that. The damn girl must be acting.
Like her, he was also waiting in the lobby for his assistant to pick him up. He wouldn't even bother speaking to her, but he couldn't stop himself when he saw her pretending to read a Russian book.
He just tapped her shoulder to get her attention when the damn tigress immediately went into attack mode.
"You're Jin Liwei of Jin Corporation?" she finally talked after reading for a few minutes. "You plan on partnering with Galaktika?"
A trace of surprise appeared in his eyes. Galaktika was the Russian trading company who prepared the business proposal, wanting to partner with his company to enter the Chinese market. The business proposal was written completely in Russian, so how did this damn girl know?
He couldn't even read it and had to read the Chinese translation. Could she actually read Russian? Her next words surprised him even more.
"I don't think it's a good idea to partner with Galaktika. If you're really interested in partnering with Russian companies, there are a lot of other better choices. Galaktika's higher-ups are involved with an international prostitution ring, human trafficking, and the smuggling of weapons. Jin Corporation is the number one company in the country. I don't think you would want to tarnish your company's reputation by getting involved with this kind of company, do you?"
Jin Liwei looked at her deeply. His eyes showed suspicion. "How do you know all of these?"

Chapter 61: Curse


"Levvy what are you doing?" A shrill cry of an elderly woman comes from behind Liberaine.

Liberaine tilt her head, she is holding a book and now looking at her nervous master, "..Master? I am only reading." She said with a smile. 

The elderly woman quickly grab the book in Liberaine's hand, which makes the latter pout, "Where did you get it?" 

Liberaine is not answering, she looked at her master feeling wronged. 

"Levvy don't act like a child, you are already 14 years old." Without chanting the book in her hand disappear and look furiously at Liberaine. "Tell me! Who gave you that book?"

Liberaine anxiously look at her master. Her master really spoiled her and this is the first time she saw her master get angry like this. She timidly answer, "The witch of the west..." The witch of the west always give her different things and her master is okay with it. 'Why is master angry now?'

Suddenly a wand appear in the hand of her master. Swirling it to the left after that a brown vine emerged in the ground, charging at Liberaine and strangling her from her waist. Liberaine is now scared, she looked at her master like she is a stranger. She struggle to answer, "Mas.. ter.."

"Did you already read it?" Her master is looking at her looking angry but at the same time her eyes is showing hope. 'Please don't.'

"Mas...ter" After hearing the struggling voice of her only apprentice, she felt a stab on her heart. The vine stop strangling her but it didn't let go Liberaine. 

"Levvy.. did you read it?" Her master looked at her sincerely. Liberaine felt wronged she doesn't know what did she do wrong. She can only answer her master and nodded honestly. 

A wand from her master fall. "Did.. you already try to practice it?"  All of a sudden the vine tighten which cause Liberaine to shake her head quickly. 

"No.." The vine let her go after answering and gently put down Liberaine on the ground. Liberaine is still choking and holding her tummy. "It's hurt.." She sat down then positioned to hold her legs with her both arms not wanting to look at her master. Liberaine comfort herself by doing this. 

"Levvy.." Her master voice is soft and gentle it makes Liberaine's eyes moisten. "Listen to me.. forget what you read okay.." Her master didn't get an answer from the child and she left without looking back. 'That witch.. so all this time she is looking for a chance to stole my apprentice. Why give that devil thing to my apprentice.' 

"Boss Levvy!!" Griffin is calling Liberaine with his loud voice, all of the people surrounding them look at him suspiciously. 

The officer raised his eyebrow and gazed at Liberaine who is standing frozen and looking at the two villain without blinking.  The officer glanced left Liberaine and looked weirdly at Griffin, "Boss? Do you know each other?" 

Alvis smack the head of his brother for being an idiot and look at the officer while scratching his head, "Is it bad to call a cute girl boss?" 

The officer is disgusted, clicked his tongue and left them. He walked to the little child who is staring at nothing now because elder Galvin and Anna already left. "Little lady are you okay?" 

Liberaine still didn't answer. The officer looked at Liberaine with pity, he thinks that maybe the little girl is under trauma when she saw elder Galvin. 

Lilibeth is already gone, Lefina call her friend in the church to help Lilibeth in her injuries. The church have a healer but it can only heal outer injuries. Lilibeth still need a doctor or physician to check if there are internal damage. 

Liberaine didn't even noticed that Lilibeth is gone and she is still in daze. 

The officer didn't left her, caressing her hair gently he said, "It's okay, it's okay! Everything will be fi-"

Before he could finish his sentence he gasped, "Call, call someone immediately." He shouted. Liberaine is just standing in daze but her mouth is full of blood. 

"Kyaaahh!! Elder Galvin and young miss Anna just collapse." 

All of them are in chaos, and soon Liberaine collapsed too with her mouth full of blood.

It's been four days since her master left Liberaine, her master didn't gone back to their hut that is isolated from the eyes of a human. All her food is herbs from the forest which is her master garden. It makes Liberaine lonely,  she really miss her master at the same time is scared if her master abandoned her because of what just happened.

"What did I do wrong? I just.. accepted that book.. it looks cool that's why I read it.. what is wrong with that book?" She mumbled. 

"That book contradicts my teaching Levvy." 

Liberaine widen her eyes, she turn around to see the person in the door and welcome her, her blonde hair waves and she looks refreshing like a teenage child. "Master.. I am sorry..."

Her master looked at her for a minute and sighed, she walked to the window and gazed at the sun for a second. She is thinking that Liberaine is still a child but she needs an explanation because of what happened.

"Levvy what do you think about that book when you read it?" She gestured her hands to a chair so Liberaine will sit down.

After Liberaine sat down, she lowered her head while answering, "There are new chants and spells.. that is new to me.. when I looked at the cover and saw a crown symbol I found it cool.. then.. when I began to read it..  I felt funny inside.. and makes me want to read it more.. there are cool spells too like calling a pet.. then making the others follow you.. It is different from what master always teach so I become curious." Her master thought her the gods of every nature and all about elements. Although she still didn't master it. Liberaine still strive for new knowledge. 

Her master sighed,'That's not a pet Levvy!! That witch even change some details so this child will like the book.. it just shows the devil inside her wants this kid talent', "Levvy that book is used for hurting people." She straightforward said. 

Liberaine just tilt her head, "Isn't the elements can hurt humans too!?" 

".. It is but.. The nature and elements are not devil, it depends on the witch if she will used this for good or evil." Her master sat too then looked at her seriously, "That book is purely evil, all it can ever do is to hurt. All the witch that study and practiced that book forget themselves, they forget the feelings little by little... please... forget all of what you just read in that book... all the witch that practiced it... all of them didn't have a happy ending."

"The humans are always scared of unknown.. they always panicked when something unexplainable is happening in them. We witches lived in nature but... some witches strive to learn that book and use it for evil. Forgetting their identity and become one of a devil. They dare hurt a human without reason and they do not feel guilty, only satisfaction and that satisfaction is like a drugs to them, they.. are addicted in that feeling.. a feeling of hurting someone.. do you want to become like that?" She remember all the innocent witches that had been burn just because they are a witch. Humans condemned them and in their eyes they are all evil. 

"The witch of the.. west.. is dead.." Her master lowered her head. "I go to her house after she gave that book to you. She killed herself by hanging. There's a letter in her table and I found out that she is fighting something devil inside her. Everyday is a hell for her. She don't want that evil to overcome her sense and hurt people in mistakes. She learned that book because she have no aptitude in the elements but because she wanted to protect her family she learned it thinking that ..she can fight it..  but still.." her master become silent. And Liberaine just listened to her, her eyes moisten too, her master emotion affects her. 

After a moment of silent. Her master look straight to her. "That's not a chant or spell... that's a curse."

Liberaine, In other people eyes, thinks that a woman has a dozen child because she works like a horse, having a different job a day with a different profession. 

Accountant, Doctor, Detective, Policewoman, etc.

People really wonder how did she have great achievements in a young age and if she ever sleeps.

But the truth is... she's a witch... a 590-year-old witch that lives in a skin of 25 years old, she even have a big company that she owns and that so-called 'working like a horse' is just her playing her boredome and satiate her curiosity of knowledge. 

She even masters the skill of the ancient witches and improvises it with her ability.

In the eyes of others, she's a superwoman that can do all the things that are impossible. 

she too thinks of that...
she even thinks every day that she is an 'immortal'... 

But...

when she wakes up with a white ceiling in front of her eyes, she wonders what happen.
She sits and sees a man in white kneeling in the ground kowtowing before her and wonder who and why.

While Liberaine is wondering in her own. The man speaks in shivering voice " you... died "

My name is Jacob Ito. I am average height, 20 years old male with black hair, a typical Japanese look if you will, and I am just your ordinary person in a world of 8 billion people. I always think life was just boring and everyone was just a collective matter that flows through the cosmos. I attended a little college called Kjin college near Kyoto. l wake up, eat, shower, brush teeth, then head out to attend class. I sit through class then I walk back to the lonely place I call home. Life was just not that interesting. 

During the weekends, I watch TV or read mangas. That is if I had time to kill. I always want to be like the characters in the stories I read. They are full of life and open to a new Adventure. "What if life was like that." Then reality hits and I am hungry. I am pretty sure that it is normal for a college student on a planet full of dirt and water with big imaginations. 

As final exams approach, I find myself in our local library studying more often. As I am trying to find books for studying, I came across this big dictionary-like, leather-covered, ancient book. This is not an ordinary book, it had a leather strap that keeps the book closed and on the top of the strap there was a keyhole, the title of the book is A World Beyond Imagination. This book caught my eyes because the title was somewhat unique, with the dust on top, it gives this old book a mysterious feel, and I begin searching for the key that can unlock this hidden book. After a long and hard search, I could not find the key so I took the book to the front desk to see if they may possess the key. As I approach the front desk lady, she looked at me with a welcome smile and said: "Hello there, how may I assist you today?" I reply: "I found this book in the library and was hoping you have the key to open this book?" She took the book and begin to inspect the outside of the book, "Sorry sir, it seems there is not a book number or a tag for this book, this book does not belong to this library." I replied: " OH! Then could you please put this book in the lost and found, thank you for your assistant." She replied with a kind smile: "I will, I am sorry that you couldn't read this book, on behalf of the owner I give my thanks." I walked away and went back to studying, ever since that day, I keep thinking of that book. The week of finals is here, I focused on every subject during the exam, Math 3rd section was especially hard, so was history. After every exam day, I walk home, heat some cheap meal and start studying for the next subject. I did not have any friends so I mainly study by myself. 

Today is the last day of the finals and I am so tired. I had big plans after exams first is a meal to celebrate the end of finals and the beginning of summer break. I went somewhere fancy like a good traditional Japanese barbecue, nothing beats a hot tasty meal after finals. But as the night approaches, I began to head home, unknowing that this would be my last day on earth. As I walk in my apartment I take off my shoes and head to the couch in the living room, I saw a box on my table, "this box wasn't there this morning?" I went towards the box. To Mr. Ito Jacob From. There was no name on who it was from. If this box has my name on it, then it's for me, maybe this morning I forgot I took a box out of my storage closet. The box was sealed and untouched, I grabbed my scissors and starting to open the box. "Ohh!" I bounce back on my feet. In the box was the book from the library. Then cool chill rolled down my back as I take the book out of the box, but this time there was a pouch on top of the book, and in the pouch was the key. Now I am confused and scared, a white letter was beneath the book like it was placed there on purpose. I prayed: "gods or God, whoever you are, please don't do this to me?" Then I picked up the letter and opened, there was a note inside. The note read:
To: Jacob
Are you bored? 
Do you wish your life was just a little more interesting? 
Is life hard? 
Have you done anything meaningful in the life you have lived?
If you were to disappear tomorrow, would anyone search for you?
Are you Happy?
"Am I happy?" These questions made me realize that everything I am doing right now I did it because I had to.

To the reader of this note, this book now belongs to you and you alone, this is one of a kind book, you can sell it, trash it, put it somewhere you will never look at it, or read it, the choice is yours. If you decide to open it and read the story, you will find yourself trapped and unable to escape the path you have chosen, which could lead to your death. But this book also offers new experiences and adventures, and a world greater than imagination. 
"This is just a book after all, what can go wrong?" I replied after reading the note. As I got close and put the key into the embedded lock I felt the deep bone chill and I opened the book. The first page was blank, then I turn to the next page, it was also blank. I had no words to explain how I felt, yes those pages were old, each page was turning yellow and wrinkled. But then I realized that the temperature was a bit colder than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. So I took my focus off of the book and looked up. "What the faewck!!" I was no longer in my little apartment anymore.

A 20 years old student name Jacob Ito, who thought his life was too boring, he was cast into a world called Izla, struggling to survive, young Jacob starts his adventure to find a way back to his previous life.

"Let's check what's inside that box," Karol mumbled under his breath as he opens the box and inside it was 5 books. He picked up the first book titled 'Limit Breaker Exercise.", and looked the book with a complicated eye and put down the book beside him as he picked up the second book and mumbled, "I will read this tomorrow." As he also put this book beside him and picked up the three third book and looked at with a confused face and just put it down too. "Huh, why is this blank?" Karol mumbled with a confused face as there was not a single word on it as put it down near the other three books and sighed loudly.
Then he picked up the last book and just as he read the title his eyes glimmered with excitement and he ran towards his table immediately. "Ow!" Karol groaned in pain as he stopped and mumbled, "Shit, my whole body is hurting." But he just shakes his head and started to look for something in the piles of books on his table. "Ah! Here it is." Karol should in excitement as he read the title of the book named, 'Basic Knowledge of Mana Formation."
Inside he read were, 'A mana formation is something very special and also one of the core reasons to what lead humanity to what it is today. It created 700 years ago in the time of…' "Not the Origin." Karol mumbled as he started to skim through the book, "Ah! There it is." Karol mumbled as he started to read the book once again. 'The gland that opened in the human in the process of the Bloodline Awakening is known as Mana Purifier as it absorbs from the surrounding and purifies the mana to a certain level to help a human to strengthen their body or mind but the organ has a huge flaw as it can only refine 50% of mana but only if that human had a level ten bloodline in half an hour.' Reading that part Karol sighed with disappointment and mumbled, "Looks like it will tough to grow strong fast with 10% of purification half an hour."
But he just shakes his head and with a determined face started to read the book once again. 'But there is a way that even those with a low level of the bloodline can gain strength fast and that with the help of mana formation. The Formation is divided into two parts that are manual one and auto one, there is not much difference between them as manual one needed some part of mind power to purify the mana whereas the auto one can work without any mind power to work and even will purify your mana without the human noticing.' Karol then immediately opened the Mana Formation and a smile appeared on his face as he mumbled, "Looks like my luck is not entirely run out as I have the auto one." And just laughed awkwardly and continued reading the book.
'Just like the Mana Purifier it's limit of purification is also 50% and also like its counterpart it is also divided into 10 levels and from lowest level giving the power of 5% purification to the highest giving the power of 50% purification.' Karol then looked into the other book and mumbled, "Well it's better than nothing that I got the level 5 one at least." And continued reading, 'You can learn the Formation by creating a distinct formation given in your book and creating it with purified mana in the middle of mana purifier.' Then he just skims through all the book until the last part where written was, 'But there is something strange about this formation as it is strangely complementing the humans and can't go over after it's maxed level like it was created by someone intentionally just for the humans. The reason it is a huge mystery because it was not created first by humans but was found.' And the book just abruptly just ended. "Even after all this year the only thing I remember from this book is this and still I wasn't able to find anything about it," Karol mumbled while laughing sluggishly.
"Well let's make the formation," Karol mumbled and looked at the formation in the books that was a square with circles on each of its corner and one in its middle. Karol then sat down in the middle of the room and put the book in front of him and then closed his eyes. Suddenly a blue line appeared from the book and touched the forehead of Karol.
Karol then looked around in his organ to find himself in a space covered with blue clouds. "Its good thing all my mana is purified as he started to created the same formation that was in the book but just as he created the square and two circle his mana fully ran out. "Let's wait for a while," Karol mumbled as he absorbs mana from his surrounding and after half an hour later his gland was fully filled with mana but it was little dark in colour as he then started to purify the mana.
Five Hours Later.
"It's finally complete," Karol whispered in excitement as there was the huge formation in the middle of the organ floating while purifying the mana in the organ. Looking outside, Karol mumbled, "It's still dark so I should finally get to the mortal rank." And then looked at the bed and mumbled, "And those will become useful at that rank." As he waited for his mana to be purified and started to strengthen his body and mind simultaneously to its limit.

He who got the power to rule over the divine beast but at the cost of her that lead his indulgence into the insanity!

He who got the strength of the system to become one of the strongest but at the cost of someone dear to him!

He who got the power to control the souls but at the cost of becoming an empty hollow as the time slowly tick by!

He who got the power to become something he hunts but at the cost of slowly losing his sanity and transform into what he hates!

But the question is was there a reason for everything? For their power? For Losing their dear ones? For Losing themselves? For Losing their humanity? Maybe there is but first we will found out what happened to them and every other in this book.
