The door bell rang 

who could it be this early morning?

MinFeng was still sitting on the chair while holding Little Bump's Ultrasound picture when the door opened and a doctor stepped out of the Operating Room. 

MinFeng immediately ran towards him and asked anxiously, "How is she?"

MinFeng's voice was hoarse. 

His eyes were red.

He looked like a wandering soul[1].

The doctor asked when he saw him, "Are you the patient's guardian?" 

MinFeng nodded.

"We were able to save the baby.  Luckily, the baby is already fine but..."

MinFeng sighed out of relief as he heard that their child was okay but he once again, he paled as he heard the rest of the doctor's sentence.

"But the mother is still in coma. She had a surgery on her head as we found a blood clot in her frontal lobe[2].

If she wakes up before tomorrow evening, she will be out of danger. But if she does not  wake up by then, I'm afraid that she may not wake up ever. 

The patient is pregnant. There are cases of coma patients giving birth but the success rate is very minimal. 

We already did our best. The rest is up to her."

MinFeng immediately went towards FengJiu's private room. 

He saw her lying on the hospital bed.

He felt his heart was being gnawed by hundreds of tiny insects. 

He felt suffocated. 

He couldn't breathe. 

He wanted to run beside her but his body wouldn't move. 

He was afraid. 

He was afraid that she might not wake up. 

He was afraid that she might leave him. 

Leave him for good. 

Together with their child. 

Without turning back. 

MinFeng just stood at the door. 

He stood like a robot for almost half an hour. 

When Chen Hao arrived, he saw his boss standing at the door. 

MinFeng did not enter the room.

He just stared at FengJiu foolishly.

Chen Hao sighed. 

This is the first time he saw his boss like this. 

As if he became a different person. 

A person who lost all hope to live. 

Chen Hao spoke. 

"Boss, Young Madam needs you by her side. You should speak to her and tell her to fight. Boss... Do not give up. If you give up now, what would happen to Young Madam?"

MinFeng woke up from his deep thoughts.

He caressed her hair and kissed her forehead that was wrapped with   thick layer of bandage. 

"FengJiu.. FengJiu... I beg you... Don't leave me.. Don't leave me alone... 

If you die... Our child will also die..

MinFeng did not care that his snots and tears were already mixed together. 

He did not care that he could not open his eyes anymore due to intense crying. 

He did not care that he could no longer speak clearly because his voice was already very hoarse. 

He did not care about himself. 

All that he cared about was FengJiu.. 

And their unborn child. 

He placed FengJiu's hand on his lips and kissed it. 

He closed his eyes and continued to whisper, 

"I love you.. I love you... I love both of you... Please don't leave me.. I need you.. I need both of you.. Please.. Just... Please.. I beg you.."

MinFeng kept talking and talking. 

He was still talking  incoherently when he heard FengJiu's voice. 

"M-Min... F-Feng."

MinFeng immediately opened his eyes and saw FengJiu staring at him. 

Tears also fell from her eyes. 

"D-Do you...real...l-ly love... me?"

MinFeng looked towards the door and immediately shouted, 

"Doctor!!"

Luckily, Chen Hao was still present. He ran outside to inform the doctor that FengJiu already regained consciousness. 

FengJiu stared at MinFeng.

She stared unblinkingly. 

"FengJiu... Are you okay? Does your head hurt? Do you want to drink water? Are you thirsty?"

MinFeng was overjoyed that FengJiu was finally awake. 

FengJiu shook her head. She stubbornly asked him again.

Class ended fairly quickly. I opened my bag, and got the poorly graded test out. I walked to Aizawa and asked him about it.

Exiting the cinema, the two roamed the mall until they stopped by the many rows of different food stalls. 

"Want something?" Ethan asked, noticing his wife eyeing the glistening chocolate donuts. 

"En." She uttered, pointing at the donuts with longing. She isn't the She-Devil CEO today. 

No no, she's just a normal adult woman having a date with her boyfriend. So she didn't have to restrain herself from indulging her sweet tooth.

"Alright, alright, we'll get your donuts." Ethan let out a chuckle. He was well aware of Lillie's love for sweets as he was the one sends her favorite box of chocolates.

"Okay. One venti iced peach green tea for Lillie and a grande iced black tea for Ethan." A handsome barista wrote their names without much thoughts on their cups and hand it to another barista who stared at their names incredulously. 

The female barista who held the cups lifted her head to take a double look at the two. 

"A-ah...L-Lillie B-Bai...a-and E-Ethan L-Li?" She mumbled to herself in disbelief. 

"Hey! Stop dallying and finish those drinks! We have more coming up!" Another barista snapped their co-worker back to reality. 

The female barista's body went autopilot and automatically made the drinks. Her mind was still elsewhere as she unconsciously gave the drinks to another co-worker. 

"One venti iced peach green tea for Lillie and a grande iced black tea for Ethan!" The barista announced. 

"That'll be us." Lillie went for the drinks. Ethan stood behind her, carrying the boxes of donuts. 

"Here are your orders, miss. Please come back again soon!" The barista said with a smile, completely unaware that he had done something to make every customer stop what they were doing.

I had desired to give everything to Innaya, and that was the reason I designed both the houses keeping our future together in my mind. I had worked harder for being able to provide everything to Innaya of the best quality. I did not realize when my life started revolving around her.

I had been too busy visualizing her happy face after I gifted her, the new farmhouse, on our six month wedding anniversary. In that anticipation, I neglected our present.
I sighed as I watched Innaya as she was immersed in the scene unfolding before us. We were watching- Me Before You. Innaya had suggested putting on something random that we had not seen earlier, and I got my hands on it.
I did not know the story, but I wished I had spent some time in searching about the plot of the movie because, by the time we reached the end, my wife was in tears, she had gripped my hand as firmly as she could - to the extent where it hurt, but I did not mind that. If holding onto me helped her, then I would gladly bear the pain silently.
At that moment, the only thing I wished for was that I had not played the movie. It was a tragic love story. Innaya kept her head on my chest as she held onto me. She did not let me go, and the feeling would have been beautiful had I not known the fears that were clouding her mind.
"I am not going to go leaving you alone ever." I stroked her hair gently as I promised her.
Her frightened petite figure that clung onto me brought me an insight of her fears, and I hated it. I hated seeing her scared, anxious, and frightened. It was just a movie. I reminded myself, and I told her the same, "It's just a movie, Innaya."
She shuffled away from me in response. I did not like the distance she created in-between us. I wanted to pull her back in my arms, close to me. Having her in my arms, always assured me and smoothened my heart. After staying away for two months, there was that constant fear of losing her, and I hated it. Thus, I wanted to be near to her as much as possible, and at the same time, I did not want to overwhelm her with my presence.
Picking up a glass of water, I drank from it as I waited for her to speak. She stayed silent for a while, staring at the blank screen ahead.
"What if destiny takes me away from you?"
I heard her questioning me in her cracked voice. It was as if she was on the verge of crying again. I could not stay still anymore.
Placing the glass down on the table, I pulled her in my arms. I tightly wrapped my arms around her. "I'll find you from any corner of the world, Innaya. I'll find you," I vowed to her and myself. I would never disappoint her, again.
Innaya attempted to smile at me, but it came more out as a grimace. Her beautiful face devoid of any artificial makeup stirred an intense longing in my heart. "I'll find you from any corner of the world, Innaya. I'll find you," I repeated again. I did not mind repeating it again and again until she believed me.
However, I did not need to say it again because Innaya this time smiled genuinely. The strong faith in her eyes shook my very core. She believed me, so easily. I slowly brought my right hand to her face. Gently stroking her cheek, I could not help, but lean forward and kiss her forehead. I wanted to do more.
I wished to kiss that smile on her lips. Till this moment, I had not forgotten that blissful feeling of my first kiss- our first kiss. Who thought, our first kiss would be under such circumstances, out of the blue, totally unexpected. I had never expected Innaya to take the first step, and considering my horrendous appearance of that day, I should really appreciate her courage. Innaya was full of surprises and mysteries.
As I pulled back, my eyes lingered on those pink lips, stretched in a blissful smile. I wanted to just lean further and explore the undiscovered and unmarked territory. Did not they say, the curiosity killed the cat, and it was the reason I held back my curiosity.
"Eshan?"
"Hmm..." I hummed in response, breaking away my gaze from those inviting lips.
"I want to see the stars," Innaya demanded, her face little hesitant. Were her ears red? Why? I failed to understand.
I glanced out of the window, only to see the starless sky. Why were clouds covering the skies today? I huffed. I suddenly remembered the gift I had received from Ayush. It was in my study. It could fulfill Innaya's wish.
"Wait here for me." I jumped on my feet and almost ran out of the theatre room, leaving startled Innaya behind.

"Kailan ka nga pala magpapaconsulta sa Doctor babe? You're now in you 2nd month right?" He asked. Napaisip naman ako bigla. Gosh. How can I forget that?!

Day twenty-one

"You have been spacing out since yesterday, what's really bothering you?" Chasie have been asking me since I got home yesterday night.
