Yale could barely notice some changes from the last time he saw them thanks to the divine eyes, so he guessed that they had undergone some kind of training.
"Yes. If they follow this training, I think that in about a million years they would be able to become World Gods given how talented they are. As for your sisters, I think that except Ange, the other two should be able to become Law Gods in about a thousand years."
Terug noticed Ange's problems, but he didn't feel that was okay speaking of that in public.
Yale just sighed after hearing that. The time for Wyba and Aiwai with that method wasn't that bad and showed how effective the method was, but the times for the others to become World Gods was far too long.
Usually, needing only a million years to become a World God giving their ages would be already something to celebrate, but Yale didn't think that they could waste a million years just for that.
Of their group, only Yale and Lina could advance without worries, but the rest needed to follow harsh training before being able to advance successfully.
Yale and Lina were both far under the mark to advance in terms of age, but their experiences were vast, and the age wasn't a problem at all.
"A million years is too much. I can't wait for that much time. I have a method to hasten the progress, but the chances of failure are high. Lina and I faced that method in the past and completed it successfully. I bet that you already guessed about what I am speaking."
After hearing Yale's words, Shiba was the first to reply.
"The Life and Death Trials."
Yale nodded. After Lina and Yale, Shiba was the one nearer to advance, and his progress given his age was admirable, but it wasn't enough.
"You are right. That is undoubtedly the fastest method, but how effective it will be to you will depend on your performance there. I understand that you all want to turn stronger, so I will allow you to face the Life and Death Trials if you want, but don't do it if you aren't confident on your results."
Yale felt that it would be good for his group to turn stronger, but he would rather battle alone than force them to increase their strength just to help him.
"I will face them."
As Yale expected, Shiba replied. Shiba was the one with the highest chances of succeeding as he was already quite strong-willed.
"I..."
Aiwai opened her mouth, but she didn't continue.
"You are hesitating, so you can't do it. That hesitation can be lethal in the trial. In my opinion, you and Wyba aren't suited to do the Life and Death Trials right now. Terug's method should be enough for you two to become Law Gods quite quickly."
Wyba was happy of not being forced to do a training that seemed even more troublesome than usual, and Aiwai could just accept Yale's words.
Terug gathered a lot of knowledge. As long as it wasn't something that only Origin Gods knew, it would be difficult that Terug hadn't gathered information about it, and that included methods to train the mind and the soul.
Of course, Lina's father also had such methods, and even slightly better ones, but his daughters hadn't needed them before. After all, usually the problem was that one hadn't been able to learn the Essences properly rather than having a weak soul and mind when one tried to advance being young.
The current situation only happened because the pure energy had hastened their advancements too much. Under normal situations, Shiba and Eini would have needed far more time to reach that level, and they shouldn't be facing those problems.
Even if they faced some problems, they would be something easy to solve like in the cases of Wyba and Aiwai.

Although an Essence God was enough for creating the Life and Death Trials, the rumors said that the chances of success were higher if the one who created the Life and Death Trials were stronger.
Of course, those were merely rumors, and the only difference was that a World God had higher chances to save someone who failed due to having more experience.
"No need. I am not planning on looking down to you, but I think that you don't understand the true nature of the life and Death Trials."
Terug was shocked to hear that, but he didn't think that his understanding was wrong.

"Then, can you explain it to me?"
Terug really wanted to know about it to satisfy his curiosity. 
He didn't have any plans to sell information about Yale to others since he already decided to follow Yale, but as someone who gathered vast amounts of information, his curiosity towards the unknown was high.
"Alright. All the lives in the Life and Death Trials are all real. They happen in lower universes linked to this one. Most likely they had been created by the same person although I have yet to confirm this part."
Yale's explanation was short but almost unbelievable for Terug.
"How can that be? Do you have any proof of that? It isn't that I distrust you, but this is hard to believe."
Yale already expected that reaction. If anyone were to contradict something that was considered the common sense in the whole universe, it would be strange if it was accepted without questioning it.
"Can you confirm me that you are in Tier 7 and that there is no mistake about it?"
Terug didn't know the reason for Yale's question, but he nodded.
"I am undoubtedly at Tier 7 thanks to that strange energy."
Yale smiled.
"Then, you are sure that the energy existed."
Terug nodded to those words.
"You already confirmed the existence of those lower universe. That energy came directly from one of them. It has been able to strengthen your power, and you confirm that the energy exists, so you can't doubt of its existence."
Terug couldn't believe those words. He indeed believed that Yale had some kind of strange energy on his body, but in his opinion that didn't prove that was energy from another universe and less from a universe of the Life and Death Trials.
"How are you so sure that the energy is from a universe of the Life and Death Trials? There is no reason for you having it."
Yale smiled again.
"I have it because I became the owner of one of those universes when I hid my incarnation in the soul of one of my disciples. My disciple went to the same universes I went and the things I did when I faced the Trials existed as things of the ancient past."
Each time that Yale spoke it turned more unbelievable for Terug.
"Impossible. I know that people tried to hide incarnations before, but the incarnations dissipated automatically. Anyway, one can only be the owner of a universe that has created. I know that an Origin God can create lower universes, but they can only be the owners of them, it is impossible to pass the ownership to others at most leaving them ownerless."
Terug didn't believe that Yale could create a lower universe and Yale himself said that he became the owner, not that he created one.
"I can send my incarnation because of my special status. You are a World God, just don't resist and you will understand."
Yale put his hand on Terug's forehead and an instant later Terug's face changed.

System For Assassination...
Kuya probably gave this story for me to read knowing that I am not a minor. The contents of this story are sometimes quite raunchy, but they were nevertheless entertaining. Even though there were some parts that felt somewhat unnatural and forced, that sense of something not making sense was quickly replaced by glee if one kept on reading it. 
The fight scenes are extraordinary, and I always loved the idea and loving family depicted by the author of the story. But, I really did not expect that Kuya would recommend such a story like this to me... It had a lot of bad, ermm... Should I say, scenes that are not only incredible but somewhat steamy to read?
There were a lot of times that it made me feel weird, so I can't really understand Kuya's thought process when he recommended me this book that felt like it was made for adults that knew more about the world of uhm... between men and women...
But going along about what I know about Kuya. I think he does not have any bad intentions towards why he gave me this book... probably? Hehehe, sorry Kuya but I am not really that sure.
Although one thing that I can say for sure is that you gave me this book so that I can learn more about certain things.
That fact alone makes me happy since it shows that you really do care for me even though we only met each other recently...
Right now, I am probably not in this world anymore, but I will still fulfill my promise to you, Kuya. I will still fulfill the promise that I will give you a review of what I think about this favorite book of yours. Hehehe, I think that I really am biting more than I can chew here.
This is the first book that I touched and read, and I am quite sad that I will never be able to accompany it to its end. But the main protagonist's adventure with his wife and daughter really touched my heart. 
Is this definite proof that people always desired for something that they lacked?

All I know is that this book is certainly good.
Although I can see that this book is not for everyone. Hahaha, Kuya. You should've really given me a book that is not as raunchy as this. What if I became a bad woman in the future? Hmmph, whose fault would that be? Hahaha, here I am talking about my future again when I clearly have no future.
This despicable curse... It seems like I really am condemned to die along with it. But oh well, ever since I knew that I had the curse. I knew that I must cross that bridge, one day or another.
It's just, that I can't just help but feel that this curse is unfair...
I am supposed to have a good life ahead of me.
If not for this curse, I would eventually fall in love with someone, have kids with him, and then die surrounded by my granddaughters and grandsons. But now? Thinking about my future has never been so painful than ever before...
But you gave me hope to live, Kuya.
When I drank that blood of yours and felt the curse disappear.
 I felt hope that I could survive the curse and live on.
But I was wrong... 
The freedom that I felt was ultimately just an illusion.
The Curse returned once again and it was far stronger than before.

I cannot bother you, anymore Kuya. I cannot have you feel sad because of me. I can't have you blame yourself for making the curse momentarily disappear and have it reappear stronger than before. I cannot ask for your help anymore, Kuya... I have accepted my fate.
I have decided.
In the next few weeks, I will write everything that I can think of in defiance to this cruel fate that the God of Everything that Moves and Exists bestowed upon me. 
I will write, I will keep on writing and even if I feel tired. I will rest, but I will not stop writing. I will not stop until I feel the inevitable approach of death. Until then, I will write as much as I can. 
Hehehe... I should really stop now. I really am stupid. I do not want you and Ate Alice to cry, Kuya. But here I am, writing this tearjerker of a letter. I really am the worst...

But on the next page, Joseph found a compendium of ideas. There were all sorts of decent concepts written in there, but some of them were crossed out such as the idea of making the female lead act like a damsel in distress.
"This..." 
Joseph glanced at Alice whose head laid on his shoulder as she let out stifled sobbings. 
The reason why Julie didn't manage to write the first chapter of the book was probably due to the fact that she wanted to write this first book of her with the best idea possible.
That should be the reason why there was no first chapter...
But such a realization didn't give any comfort to Joseph.
Instead, he felt even more sad and depressed.
Alice realized the same and she tightened her grip around Joseph's hips. 
Joseph closed the notebook and stared at the tombstone where the two sisters were buried underneath. In the end, despite the promise that they made towards Joseph and Alice. They weren't able to see the beauty of the outside world and Joseph wasn't able to fulfill his promise.
"Why... Why did the two of you have to die..."
A sour sensation soared towards his throat and he couldn't hold back his tears anymore.
Taking a look at the tombstone, there were six lines written on the epitaph.
The best elder sister,

The ambitious writer,
The hopeful doctor,
Both lay here without pain anymore,

Joseph's knees gave up and he kneeled on the ground.
Alice went along with him. 
None of them said anything for they just hung their heads low towards the direction of the tombstone...
After several hours of kneeling. Joseph finally stood up. Alice followed suit and the two stared at each other. Their faces were a wreck with the tears and mud that decorated it, but within their eyes was a light, clearer than ever before. 
Holding each other's hands, they nodded without saying anything before turning around. Heading for the direction of the cave where they spent the past several weeks along with the two sisters.
They silently went into the room and sat beside each other on the stone bed.
After several minutes of silence. Joseph finally spoke his first words after hours of silence.
"We will go." 
"Go? Where?" Alice finally spoke up too.
"To them." Anger and ruthlessness momentarily flashed within Joseph's eyes.
Seeing this light, Alice finally understood what he was talking about. Even though it would probably be incredibly dangerous to fight their enemy within the very City of those enemies. Alice didn't say anything in objection to his proposal...
She merely gave a small smile.
"I will follow you, wherever you may go."
Joseph nodded his head in appreciation. 
"Are you not curious as to why I want to go there?"
Alice maintained that smile on her face as she replied, "Yes, I am curious. But I have a vague idea as to why you want us to go there."
Joseph turned to look at her with interest, "Oh?"
"Mhm... You want us to go there to give them a warning and also claim reparations, right?" 
"Yeah... I now don't care about the reasons why the City Chief and those elders fooled their own citizens. All I know is that they must die. Those old bastards must die! Only after that can I escape peacefully from this place knowing that no one will dare desecrate the bodies of Julie and Hulie."
"And also that bastard Gelial, someday..."
"I will kill him with my own hands!" Joseph declared. Afterwards, the two of them went out of the cave and walked towards the direction of the City Perpetually Hidden from the Sun.

The man's smile widened as he gazed at the quiet and listening Arthur.

"What about parasites, then?"
"Parasites? They weren't created, per se, but are a part of the Zaarae. I'm not talking about all of them, of course, just the main and first ones. Just like a Tree grows on its own and can produce seeds, parasites can multiply. Humans copulate and Phoenix's lay self-created eggs, each Race has a mean to keep itself alive."
"You said you are me, how do you know things I don't?"
The man took out a feather that had some ink on its tip and then drew a line on the table.
"To explain it to you, I'll have to teach you a bit about time."
He pointed at the line and continued: "This is a timeline…" He drew circles on the line, all small and have the same size : "These are cycles, with a beginning and an end. A single timeline can have a limitless amount of cycles, however, the opposite is not true. A cycle can only have one timeline… the one it exists in. It is possible but very difficult to jump from one timeline to another and the consequences are irreparable even to mighty beings like Bilgart. Each Timeline is very different from the other and they're all parallel, meaning that they never interfere with each other, unlike cycles. 
To give you a good example, cycles are similar to books. Living through one is like reading a mystery book, when you jump into another cycle, it's like reading another book but with the same genre. In your case, your life is separated in two parts that exist in the same timeline, obviously. However, your life didn't begin when the first cycle started, after all, there's Zodiak, who's your reincarnation but is still considered part of you. I, the person you're speaking to, am you but slightly different."
"Different? How so?"
"While you experienced only one cycle, I've experienced 62."
"62? How is that possible? I thought I'll only live through two."
"Yes, but when the second cycle ends, that doesn't mean your life ends, it just repeats itself. The memories of the past repeating cycles are always stored, that is, to not repeat the same mistakes. My existence is to assure that you reach the true end and leave this never-ending spiral of life and death. "There many, many reasons but if I had to point out the one thing that traps you here then it's definitely Leiu, your brother."
"…" Arthur didn't say anything, he just stared back at his carbon copy, still processing everything that was being said.
"I see that you're still confused and that's a normal reaction. Let me explain, again." He pointed at Arthur's heart and stated: "The soul inside your consciousness is not complete, yes?"
The parasite shook his head in confirmation. 
"As far as you know, Zodiak is in possession of the other half but that is also not the truth. You've got one third of the main soul, Zodiak has a third, and **** has a third."
The moment he said that, Arthur's pupils shook and he shot up from his seat, glaring at the man.
"What makes you say that? Do you have proof?!"
"Of course I have, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here and telling you the sad truth. You must not repeat the same mistakes and end it whatever the means… even if it means sacrificing your loved ones."
As he heard that, Arthur was further angered, he grabbed the man by his collar and raised him in the air. The man didn't retaliate and his expression didn't change, not minding any of Arthur's aggressive actions.
"If it means Lucy and Saly live, I will sacrifice anything, even myself."
"And you think your death will save them? Mind elaborating how?"
He shook off Arthur's hand, calmly sat back and poured some tea for himself.
"You'll get provide them with a peaceful place to live in after you acquire enough strength? You'll hide them somewhere? You'll protect them somewhere? The reality is not as easy as you portray it to be. Even if you're the strongest person, there will always be a problem. Your brother is a living example of that. He can defeat anyone but why is he struggling? Why can he not get rid of Sol'khin? I'm sure, by now, you know why, or at least must have some idea.
In those 62 cycles, Saly and Lucy died many times and they were a reason for your failure. Their deaths destroyed you and made you someone without a goal so you did not seek an end. Indeed, the effective range of the "Demon Sealing Crest" is the 20 meters.

"D, damn it, all of you, Attack him with your swords! Do whatever you can to protect me!"

Riotte shrieked.

"B, but…"

It's already late in the afternoon, the class is overrrrr, and I have to commute all by myself. I was told to find my way there, independently. So I started to walk. When I look it in the other way, we can also say that there is not much of a proof that a deity does not exist. They based their denial on the scriptures that humans wrote, not the possibility that these were only interpretations of what actually happened. What if aliens have actually visited earth and played with us? We can't deny it, there's a possibility, and to tell you, we are a lot smaller than we think compared to the universe. If the atheists based their denials on the scriptures, then there is a possibility that they deny the existence of aliens - which most of them believed in. That is why I think that they don't make any fucking sense as fuck. And that is why they are stupid. So close-minded. Not considering possibilities. It is like believing that when he tosses a coin, it will always be tails. See what I mean?

They "think" that a deity does not exist. They can say it as they are "conscious" that God does not exist. Then those fuckers can explain what will they feel after they die, I'm sure that they will say that they will feel nothing. Then I will ask that how do they feel that they feel nothing when they can't feel nothing? Since they cannot think about it, how can they think that they cannot think about it when they can't think about it?

I see that I have arrived...

The way that Dante brushed off the death of one of the people under his employ like some mundane occurrence troubled Jon. He too nearly lost his life to the sharks if not for the quickness of Captain Salazar. Or is Dante intentionally evading discussion of the incident? Could he be hiding something?

Questions flooded Jon's head, but he decided not to talk about the incident any further with his client. Dante seemed to be no different from the captain of the Golden Cowrie as to his apathy and coldness towards people under his employ. If not for the difference in physical appearance and state of health, Jon would have thought of Dante and the captain as the same person.

Dante seemed more alive than when Jon saw him at the entrance hall earlier. His movements were faster, his speech clearer, and his face, though still pale, seemed more relaxed and youthful. Perhaps, there was some truth when he likened himself to nocturnal creatures who become fully awake at night as they search for their prey.

Based on the number of paintings and tasteful decorations, Jon could tell that Dante was clearly obsessed with art, but Dante's tastes tend to be unusual, even macabre. After Dante talked briefly about the importance of Dali's paintings in the development of surrealism and how the artist came to paint his most important work - The Persistence of Memory, he talked to Jon at length about the images of death as they appeared in the history of art.

"Have you noticed how humans have depicted death and suffering more and more as time goes on?" Dante asked. After getting tired of painting religion, artists created secular paintings. Then came the still-lifes showing beauty and excess, but later on they painted vanitas - skulls crept into still-lifes to show the transcience of life, how death ultimately triumphs over life."

"How about portraits and landscapes? Do they also depict death." asked Jon, trying to disprove Dante's theory.

"Sometimes, paintings are much more subtle. You would recall Jan Van Eyck's Portrait of Giovanni Arnolfini and his Wife. Or you can search for it."

"Yes." Jon nodded as he remembered seeing a picture of it and did a quick search online. "It's considered one of the best paintings in European art. I haven't seen it personally, but I am familiar with Van Eyck's works, especially the Ghent Altarpiece."

"So, you've been to Ghent?" Dante eyed Jon curiously.

Jon chuckled. "No, unfortunately. Seeing the actual works of the Dutch masters, however, is on my bucket list."

Dante did not seem to mind and continued, "Well, the Arnolfini portrait differs from that other work you mentioned . Aside from being a secular painting, one of the subjects in the portrait is not alive."

Jon looked at the pale face of Giovanni Arnolfini under his black hat.

"It's not Giovanni, if you're thinking that it's him." Dante commented to Jon's surprise. "It was his wife."

Jon was surprised with the information and thought of reading more about the painting when he got the time.

"As for landscapes, let me mention one of Vincent Van Gogh's last paintings - Wheatfield with Crows."

Jon did a quick search and found the painting. It was one of Van Gogh's greatest works and also one of his last. While many of Van Gogh's landscapes did evoke a feeling of sadness, this one stood out with its symbolism of crows and three diverging paths. Jon knew the painting well from prints and the art documentaries he liked to watch. He knew that it was at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam which he would also very much wanted to visit.

"Surely, you've seen the actual painting in Amsterdam," said Dante, closely watching Jon's facial expressions and body movements.

"Unfortunately, no. Although some say that seeing it in person could be overwhelming, but instead of death and suffering, I see Van Gogh's paintings as inspiring, knowing how they changed how we see the world."

Dante frowned, seemingly disappointed. "Are you familiar with the works of John Nash? Search for his painting – We Are Making a New World."

Jon did as he was told and saw the painting of a sunrise over a landscape of muddy terrain and barren tree trunks.

"Sunrise. Always seen as a symbol of hope, but that sunrise revealed the death and destruction brought by war. So, what kind of a new world are we making?" asked Dante rhetorically.

Jon was still looking at the painting and wondered about the artist's intention in creating the work. Perhaps, he could take another look at it in his spare time.

"That brings us to modern art. I will just mention Damien Hirst's sculpture 'For the Love of God'.

Dante paused. Jon tried to remember the sculpture by the modern artist. It was controversial due to its cost and for allegedly failing to get a buyer, suggesting the possibility of a contemporary art bubble.

"I remember that sculpture - a memento mori. It was a diamond-studded skull."

"You are correct," said Dante, obviously pleased. He then went on talking enthusiastically about other paintings. 

"Artworks tend to be the reflection of the artists' inner thoughts and artists tend to represent their people and their times. This renewed interest in depicting death and human suffering is simply indicative of the society that we live in, don't you think?" Dante asked.

Jon merely nodded as images of death and violence inundated his mind. The images were not just in painting it seemed, but in all forms of art – film and sculpture, among others. He also could not recall watching the evening news without seeing reports of violence and murder.

"All my most valuable paintings are in this room together with my books. Aside from the added security, you'd notice that there are no windows. I had very few windows installed in the mansion to protect my precious art from the harsh sunlight. The temperature and humidity are carefully controlled in this room in order to preserve the paintings." He confided to Jon that only two people were allowed to stay in the library at any one time in order to keep the ambient air at the best possible condition for preserving the paintings.

"Let me show you some of my priced paintings which I have acquired over the years," Dante said, holding the armrests of his chair to stand up. Jon immediately rose from his chair to help his client, but Dante simply refused with a wave of his hand.

"I can stand up. Don't fuss." From under his desk, Dante took out a cane of carved hardwood. It was reddish in color and was polished until it obtained an almost natural sheen. The carvings on the cane itself were ornate and geometric without any recognizable pattern or design, but the gold handle was of a grotesque figure that seemed to be a mix between a bat and a snake.

Dante proceeded to walk towards one of the paintings near the door and flicked a switch. Immediately, light beamed down from the top of the frame to show the painting with greater clarity.

"What do you think of this?" Dante turned to his side where Jon was already standing.

The painting showed an emaciated man with all his limbs seemingly cut off from his body. There were cuts and bruises as well as discolorations on his skin. He appeared to be sitting on the floor although his background was just a white void. His head was turned to the side and was bowed in dejection. The man in the painting did not appear to be in pain, but his physical state, the expression on his face, and the artist's use of color made Jon feel overwhelming hopelessness and sadness.

"Schiele?" asked Jon, not quite sure.

"You're right to hesitate. It's not by Schiele." Dante smiled. "This was painted by a Polish artist after the Holocaust. His pregnant wife was killed by Nazis in front of him before he was sent to the concentration camps. This was his last painting after the war when he returned to his apartment in Silesia where he eventually hanged himself."

Jon did not speak at first, but looked at the painting closely. The painter's style was similar to that of Egon Schiele, but by looking closely at the brush strokes and choice of color, he could tell that it belonged to another era. Dante's clues about the painter's life and manner of death helped Jon identify who the painter was.

"Kowalczyk. He considered this his self-portrait before he committed suicide. This painting broke records for a Kowalczyk painting when it was auctioned off last year. It was sold to an undisclosed buyer." Jon mumbled.

"And that undisclosed buyer is me," said Dante smiling widely, his sharp teeth glistening in the dim room. "Let's see if you can guess who painted the next one."

Dante walked eagerly to the next painting, his cane tapping on the wooden floor like a one-legged giant insect. He likewise turned on the pin lights and the painting exploded in colors of bright red and burnt sienna.

"This painting is something I really like. Tell me what you think?"

The second painting showed a half-naked man with eyes opened wide as if in a crazed state. In his hand was something that looked like a severed human arm while blood was seen dripping from his mouth. He appeared to be in a desert and faint smoke was rising in the distance.

"The painting reminds me of Goya's painting of the titan Saturn devouring his son as well as Gericault's Raft of the Medusa, but this had the realism of Caravaggio without any religious symbolism that I can see."

"Very good! And the artist?"

"I'm not sure." Jon pressed his hand against his chin as he tried to guess.

"This is what happens to man if you leave him stranded in the desert without food," Dante said with a short laugh. "The artist was a survivor of a plane crash in the desert. True to the meaning of the word, he was a predator rising above his prey. He was able to survive by killing his fellow passengers. When he was rescued, he had a short period of lucidity and was able to paint this. It was supposed to be cathartic according to those who were close to him, but eventually, the artist lost his mind."

"And he was placed in a lunatic asylum where he died!" Jon exclaimed, his eyes growing wild. "Is this the missing Gonzalez? It was mentioned in letters and memoirs, but no one had actual proof that it exists. People were saying that it has been lost forever!"

"No. Not lost. It eventually came into my possession," said Dante, glowing with pride. "The next one is something that you'll also find quite interesting. It is the oldest painting in my possession," said Dante.

The third painting showed a black figure that was hardly discernible in the darkness. He appeared to be coming out of a tunnel or a well. Dante flicked on the pin lights and Jon's attention was quickly drawn by the eyes that glowed red like embers.

Stories tell of the vampire that was vanquished a century ago, but unknown to everyone, he survived to exact vengeance on the society that wanted him destroyed. Severely weakened, he sailed across the oceans until he reached a paradise island where he stayed to regain his strength until it was time to return to an unsuspecting modern world.

And then it gather until there were three human figures standing in front of Alex, yet they were made of smoke and wind, their piercing red eyes sent chills to the many that was them. These creatures weren't normal, they were the Manifestation of the things that many have considered common stories and jokes. Ghosts! Spirits! Concepts that they might have to her upon but have never been able to fully control.

Alex swiped his right palm over the rough scales on the body of his spear, cutting himself as (Nameless) glowed red and absorbed the blood left on it's frame. What Alex had just done wasn't exactly normal, he had invoked and called back their spirits and anima, and then using their negative feelings as base had given them a new form. They were a lot more dangerous than the spirit of Vengeance, and since they were brought back using the blood of a cat as catalyst, Alex knew they would share some traits with felines. But come to think of it, the kitten he was given was a bit larger than the norm, or was it full grown. Nevertheless Alex could feel his connection to them, just like Devonte and Khan they were Spirits bonded to him, though it was just temporary. As soon as they were done he would send them on their way to the next life. 

The moment they stepped out of the ritual circle, the very air itself seemed to vibrate, and everyone around found it extremely hard to breathe. The feelings of dread and horror were prevalent in the air as everyone other than Alex felt as if their souls were being squeezed out of them, even cultivators in the heaven gate like Zhang Wuxi felt the suppression from these spirits, but in his case it was for a whole other reason. Khan and Devonte followed, keeping a slower pace so that the others would be able to catch up, nobody said anything, there was only one conviction in their mind, and that was the fact that by the time the night is over, they will be bathing in the blood of their enemies.
