When he was born Prometheus had all the keys in his hands to become a protagonist, why not even a hero. He was smart, talented and his family was powerful. 

But all that changed soon enough. His family was slaughtered, Prometheus grew up poor, and even his talent for magic failed to develop.

Prometheus was betrayed, his honour was trampled upon, and he had to flee his homeland. Prometheus understood that the straight path would never bring him anything, that the kingdom was corrupt and that to make a place for himself in this world blood had to be shed. 

Even Prometheus did not gain his place in his world, he was not recognized for his true worth, and he died killed by his best friend Troene, nicknamed the hero of the people. 

But sometimes destiny is capricious, and Prometheus comes back to life. Did the gods take pity on him? Will his quest for vengeance come to an end? Or is Prometheus part of a greater plan?

The trio of Titans slept in the surgery; Ganymede and Callirrhoe on couches, Prometheus on the floor. It hadn't occurred to Apollo that all three would want to stay together and he had only provided one extra couch. 

The little boy recovered so quickly that it was hard to believe he had been so ill. After only one day he was up and exploring the camp. 
"They're like that, children," Apollo said to Athena. "Bouncing around as if nothing had happened straight after major surgery. Very resilient. Entertaining little chap, isn't he?"
"Why, what's he been doing?"
"Well, just generally poking his nose into everything and demanding to know how it all works." 
Athena gave him a narrow look. She couldn't imagine Apollo tolerating such interference. The little boy must really have something. 
"Where is he?"
"I don't know. He wandered off. Probably pestering somebody else." Apollo actually grinned.

She found him in Hephaestus's workshop, bending over the smith as he worked on some small gadget. As she came closer she could see it was an enhancer. "It works like this," he was saying. "When you think something it reads your thought and tells me what it is and at the same time it magnifies my thought so you can read mine." 
The boy looked puzzled. "But why would you need to?"
Hephaestus smiled. "You can do it without a machine but we can't." 
"Speak for yourself," said Athena. She squatted in front of the boy so she wasn't looking down on him. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel great!" he said. "Everything's fabulous here. Last time I came my mother wouldn't let me go exploring but now she doesn't mind. She's at Hestia's learning how to cook. It's brilliant!"
Athena smiled. "Well actually, I meant how is your head? But I'm glad you're having a good time."
The boy put his hand up to his bandage. "It's fine. Doesn't hurt. How come you can talk without one of those things?" He pointed to the enhancer.
"I've been practicing," said Athena. 
"Right." Ganymede was already wandering off to look at some half-finished projects lined up against the wall. 
"Sorry about that," said Athena. "I know how busy you are." 
Hephaestus looked up from his work and smiled at her. "Oh, I don't mind," he said. "He's so keen to learn. It's a pleasure to show him things. Delightful little fellow." 
"Well, delightful or not, I'm taking him off to have some breakfast. See you later." She grabbed Ganymede's hand and pulled him out of the workshop. Hephaestus looked disappointed.
 
The boy was still protesting that he wasn't hungry when she got him back to Hestia's. 
"Oh, there you are," his mother said. 
"I've got a nice fresh egg for your breakfast," said Hestia, fiddling with the control on her enhancer. She was uncomfortable with anything new. "Do you want your toast cut into soldiers?" Ganymede looked at her, utterly baffled, and Athena and Hestia laughed. 
"I'll show you," Hestia said. 
"Where's Prometheus?" Athena asked, sticking another egg in the pan and cutting another slice of bread.
Hestia shrugged. "He hasn't been here." 
"This bread feels different. Is it all right?" 
"Of course it's all right." Demeter was leaning on the doorframe looking rather pleased with herself. "You are about to eat the first real loaf baked in New Home. I harvested the wheat yesterday."
Athena, who had no clear idea of where bread came from, eyed the loaf suspiciously.
"I hope you enjoy it," Hestia grumbled. "I spent half yesterday afternoon grinding the corn and most of this morning making the bread. It makes you wonder whether it's worth the effort." 
Athena cut a small piece off the slice before she popped it in the toaster. "It's not bad," she said as she chewed the remnant. 
"It tastes even better with butter on," said Demeter. "We should have real butter as well. I asked Artemis to capture a cow for me but she said it's too hard." 
"They're enormous," Athena said. "I don't see how you could catch one without taking your life into your hands."
Demeter looked disappointed. 
Athena glanced outside the window where Demeter's chickens were scratching away at the barren ground. No doubt Artemis had captured them as well. Demeter seemed to be set on turning Hestia's little house into a farm. She could see this getting out of hand. The egg and toast, however, were delicious; much nicer than the plasti-food she was used to. 

After breakfast Athena left Ganymede with his mother and went off to look for Prometheus. Nobody seemed to have seen him. She tried to reach him with her thoughts but he was either too far away or not listening. Nyctimene, however, answered the call immediately. He's hunting with Artemis, she said, swooping down and settling on Athena's shoulder. They're down in the valley there.
"Right," said Athena. "Let's go and find them." 

They came across them in a clearing near the edge of the forest. The two were kneeling down, heads together, in deep discussion. Athena felt a sudden stab of jealousy. Prometheus was her friend. 
She suppressed the feeling and went over to them. 
"What are you doing?"
Prometheus looked up and put his finger against his lips, sending her a clear thought, I'm teaching Artemis how to hear.
How to hear? What do you mean?
Come here!
He patted the ground beside him and Athena obediently came and squatted down. 
Now put your hands like this.
He put his hands flat on the ground before him. Athena did the same.
No, like this. Spread your fingers out. 
She did as she was told.
Now, what can you hear?
She couldn't hear anything except maybe the slightest trembling in the earth. She homed in on it and almost got something. Breathing? A heartbeat? 
Before she could properly get hold of it Nyctimene came swooping down and pounced, then took off with something small and furry in her talons. 
"What! What was that?" Artemis looked up from the ground and tried to focus on the dark speck which was Nyctimene wheeling up into the sky. 
Athena could swear she heard her laughing. 
"It was Nyctimene," she said. "I think she wanted to show us that she can hear better than anyone." She turned to Prometheus. "I'm sorry she spoilt it for you. What was it anyway?"
Prometheus shrugged. "A mouse or maybe a shrew. It doesn't matter. There are plenty of other things." 
He resumed his listening pose and the two girls did the same. 
Now what can you hear?
Artemis frowned and Athena shook her head. Nothing.
Try harder. I'll give you a clue. It's over there.
He nodded towards a small rocky outcrop surrounded by dry grass.
Athena concentrated and focussed her mind on that spot. Yes, there was something. A rustling sound. She was beginning to form a picture in her mind. Something long and smooth.
Snake, thought Artemis. 
Snake, of course. That was it! Snake!
Athena shot up from her squatting position. "I've got to go," she said. "I've forgotten something."
And she went haring up the mountain with Nyctimene gliding behind her. 
Artemis watched her go. 
"What was all that about?"
Prometheus shrugged again. He had no understanding of women, especially not goddesses.




Jenny Twist was born in York and brought up in the West Yorkshire mill town of Heckmondwike, the eldest grandchild of a huge extended family.
She left school at fifteen and went to work in an asbestos factory. After working in various jobs, including bacon-packer and escapologist’s assistant (she was The Lovely Tanya), she returned to full-time education and did a BA in history, at Manchester and post-graduate studies at Oxford.
She stayed in Oxford working as a recruitment consultant for many years and it was there that she met and married her husband, Vic.
In 2001 they retired and moved to Southern Spain where they live with their rather eccentric dogs and cat. Besides writing, she enjoys reading, knitting and attempting to do fiendishly difficult logic puzzles.

A novel based on the von Däniken theory that the gods were spacemen. 
Set in the prehistoric Mesolithic age with the goddess Athena as a young girl and Prometheus, a young cave-dweller, as the main protagonists.
The boy watched the star fall. It fell very slowly, and it was not one light but a multitude of lights spinning lazily through the night sky. Then great silver fish flew through the sky and other mysterious lights began to appear on the mountain. At last a great thunderbolt struck the ocean. The sound was flat and hollow and unbelievably loud, as if a giant had stamped on the earth. And the sign of the Goddess appeared in the sky – the sign of the Sacred Mushroom. These are the events that mark the arrival of the Atlantis, the doomed starship, bringing new gods who would change the life of the boy and his people forever. 


When Chris opened his eyes, he could not see anything as he was in a dark room with nothing in sight. He quickly took out his wand and tried to cast the Wand Lighting Charm, but nothing happened. 


'Does magic not work here?' Chris thought. 


'This is the waiting room so of course you can't use magic,' Prometheus' voice suddenly said in his head. 


Chris was startled to suddenly hear Prometheus, but was interested at the same time.


'Oh, waiting room? What am I waiting for?'


'The test is currently being made right now and you'll have to wait for a bit before you can take the test. Once the test is done being made, I'll have to explain what your goal is in order to pass the test,' Prometheus said. 


'Oh, I see,' Chris said. Suddenly, he heard a familiar noise. He had received a quest. 


-Quest has been given. Pass the 4 Founders' Test. These series of test will be extremely difficult. All the System can say is good luck.-

Chris was extremely surprised by what he saw. 


'System, is this mission that difficult? You always have some sort of witty comment,' 


-This mission is the hardest mission you have ever received throughout your time in the Wizarding World. The System will not make any other comment aside from wishing you good luck.-


Chris suddenly became a bit afraid. During some of his other missions, the System had never wished him luck even if those missions had chances of him dying. Chris realized that his probability of survival was low with this mission. 


'At least, the amount of EXP and galleon soothes me a bit,' Chris thought. 'Well let's see what this potion of strength is,'


-Potion of Strength: An extremely advanced potion created by mixing very rare magical ingredients. It gives the drinker a 10% Magical Power boost for 2 minutes no matter how high their Magical Power is. After a day of it wearing off, the drinker's magical power is permanently boosted by 0.1%. The effectiveness of this potion will stay the same no matter how many times the drinker drank the potion in the past. However, only 1 Potion of Strength can be drunk every 24 hours or else the drinker will immediately start to disintegrate after 5 minutes of the second potion being drunk.-

'Wait, then if I have this, doesn't that mean that Dumbledore can defeat Voldemort very easily? If someone with 5,000,000 Magical Power drink this, then they will gain 500,000 Magical Power temporarily and 5000 Magical Power permanently. That's a huge power boost even if the 500,000 Magical Power is just for 2 minutes! Dumbledore's Magical Power is beyond 5,000,000 so even Voldemort shouldn't be able to even scratch him. System can I purchase this potion?'

'Damn it. It's way out of my league. I need to somehow make money myself fast. I'm missing out on way too much!' Chris thought. 'But to think that I could even get something so big out of this is insane. I suppose I can give brewing it a try later. As for the pet food, I guess I'll open the pet roulette once I get out of school. It would be a bit weird for me to suddenly have a pet,'


"The test has been successfully created. Are you ready?" Prometheus asked. 


"Course I am," Chris said. 


"Alright then. I'll explain the condition to pass. The first test shall be the Slytherin test. Become the top 1% in terms of wealth using any means you got," Prometheus said. 


Chris was quite surprised by the mission, but he quickly nodded.


Good luck. I really do hope that one of you three pass," Prometheus said. 


The dark room suddenly started to morph into a small room that Chris was rather familiar with. 


'This is... my room back when I was still living at home?!,' Chris thought.  

As Chris was looking through his old room, back in the throne room, the Four Founders were looking at 3 mirrors. Each mirror had one of the three test takers. 

Suddenly Gryffindor laughed.

"Salazar my old friend, it seems that your test was deemed the easiest. For how prestigious you make your house seem, I suppose that it's very simple to get in once you get rid of the whole blood purity requirement," Godric said.

"Yes I suppose it's much easier to be smarter than be a bonehead," Salazar said. 

"Well if that was the case then Rowena's should have been first. I suppose that with human nature, it is the easiest to be a snake. Please do not compare the intelligence Rowena seeks with cunningness. Even the most moronic can be a good snake," Godric said.

Salazar seemed as if he wanted to say something, but decided to stay silent.

Prometheus, or rather, Kara, stared at Rody’s expected astonished expression.
Rody’s expression seemed as though it solidified. He continued to stare at the other person and his slow mind made him speechless.
'Kara?'
'True God Kara?'
'The original God of the Radiant Continent! The person the Church calls a devil? It is the devil destroyed by God in the God and Devil war thousands of years ago?'
'According to legend, Kara was very powerful and was born from the blood from Heaven. He was able to destroy heaven and earth. He could move mountains and fill up the oceans. The lightning in the sky was his servant and the flames of hell was his slave.'
'This person stands in front of me and just told me his identity with a smile.'
'But! This person is the leader of the Temple? The True God Kara became the leader of the worshippers of God?'
"I know that you are surprised." Kara laughed. "I also know of the description the Church has given me."
He laughed with ridicule and said, "Hmph…The Radiant God killed the Devil, turning his flesh and blood to dust. The Devil’s heart was confined to the flames of hell. God’s teachings itself is an outright lie but there was no point lying about this."
"But…" Rody gulped. He felt as though he did not have enough brain cells. The person standing in front of him was the God, Kara. Rody thought for a long time and then slowly said, "But how come you are here?"
Actually, Rody's doubts were not just limited to this. His mind was jam-packed with a lot of questions.
'Are you really Kara?'
'How could you be Kara?'
'Why is Kara also Prometheus?'
'Why is Kara, the enemy of God, at the Temple? On top of that, why is he the leader of the Temple?'
Kara laughed and slowly said, "You are a wise person. I reincarnated as Prometheus to hide at the Temple. Naturally, it is to settle my thousand-year-hatred with those fellows in heaven!"
Kara pointed up as he said, ‘those fellows in heaven’. His tone also sounded cold when he said ‘hatred’. Even Rody could not help but feel cold.
"Those fellows destroyed my body, took my territory and killed my people. They even imprisoned my heart. Hahaha…" Kara laughed wildly and then shouted, "We are all Gods. They could not kill me and could only imprison my consciousness. This was so that they could wear off my heart after thousands of years. But how could I, Kara, die so easily?"
He opened his arms and proudly stood in front of Rody. Rody could feel Kara’s aura become more powerful as though he could embrace the whole world.
"Those fellows did not know that I have returned!" Kara raised his chin and slowly said, "I came back a few decades ago! My thousand years of sleep was just like a snap of the finger to me. However, the few decades I was awake was, in fact, an endless torment."
Rody shook his head in anguish and smiled wryly. "You...how did you come back?"
Kara looked back at Rody. He did not answer Rody’s question immediately. Instead, he asked something strange. "Do you know how this life was made?"
Rody was unable to answer this question. Fortunately, Kara never meant for Rody to answer this question as he continued, "It is of the flesh and the spirit. When I say spirit, I also mean consciousness!"
"I know that with your current education, it would be difficult to understand this concept…Let me simplify it…" Kara slowly explained. "Thousands of years ago, I was really defeated. Perhaps it went according to what that despicable guy had planned but I did not really die. This was because I have surpassed the rank of God. With Divine Primordial Spirit, there is nothing in the world that can kill me! That despicable guy only destroyed my body and imprisoned my Divine Primordial Spirit. However, my consciousness or thoughts was not destroyed alongside my body! My remaining consciousness…Hmph. Probably because of resentment, I drifted and slept for a thousand years. That is until one day, an intense voice woke me up!"
"Woke up?" Rody was stunned.
"Yes." Kara’s voice was filled with emotion. "The voice sounded weak, but it contained strong resentment and perseverance. It resonated with me who was also full of resentment. So…I woke up!" He then looked at Rody and lightly said, "That person whose voice woke me up was Prometheus, a young man that was seventeen years old!"
Kara seemed remorseful as he said, "Do you know what I … about Prometheus’ story? I believe that because we were enemies, you must have made inquiries. Mouse must have also told you this. Do you still remember what happened to the seventeen-year-old Prometheus?"
Rody thought about it and remembered the story of the ‘God’s Chosen One’ told by Mouse.
'The seventeen years old Prometheus.'
That year, there was a drought in the Gordon Kingdom. There was not a single drop of rain for ten consecutive months. Prometheus that had just given up knighthood became a devout priest. According to the stories, during that year, the low-ranked Prometheus was laughed at by everyone as he kowtowed every ten steps from the Temple all the way to the Gordon Kingdom. He piously prayed to God the entire way.
Rody had slowly said what he knew.
"Yes," Kara replied mockingly. "At that time, Prometheus was a true human. He was a young fanatic who had faith in God. He gave up being a knight also because he was very kind. After seeing the brutal and bloody battlefield, he was determined to stay away from it. He wholeheartedly served the Gods in his heart. He hoped for their guidance so that he could bring light to the world. Hahaha…How ridiculous. He can only be considered a stupid and silly boy!"
Although Kara was laughing, his tone was filled with sincere respect.
"In other words, before the age of seventeen, Prometheus was not you?" Rody asked.
"No!" Kara’s voice became cold again. "When he was seventeen, he was a devout fanatic of God. Fortunately, his fanaticism gave me the first valuable opportunity in a thousand years!"
"When he departed from the Temple and went to the Gordon Kingdom, kowtowing and praying to God all the way, he was ridiculed by others. To ridicule a person praying to God would provoke an intense rage. To Prometheus, who treated the prayers as sacred, their actions were blasphemy!" Kara slowly narrated. "However, when he saw what was behind him, his resolve was shaken."
"What did he see?" Rody frowned.
"Do you want to know?" Kara looked at Rody. "Close your eyes. I will show it to you."
Rody did not hesitate to close his eyes. Kara then stretched out his hand and pressed Rody’s eyes.
Rody’s vision suddenly turned bright.
'Disaster victims everywhere!'
Rody saw an illusory image. Although it was just an image, Rody could see the starving people at the roadside and even hear their miserable cries. These people were haggard and miserable. They had looks of despair, seemingly with their arms torn apart.
Rody could not help but sigh as his heart sank.
Another image then appeared to him.
Outside of the places of prayers were lean, haggard people standing opposite to clean but nauseating clergymen. The starving people gave their last copper coins away to the representatives of worship. That was the atonement tax.
The sad and pitiful laymen still believed that the disaster was a punishment from heaven. It was because they had sinned. After giving away their last belongings, they asked for God to bless them and protect them from suffering.
The image changed again.
Inside a holy and radiant temple, there was a white tablecloth with silver candlesticks. There were also golden wine cups filled with bright red wine. On silver plates were foie gras with thick sauce and fat juicy steaks. A group of people wearing clothes of high priests were sitting at the table with unbridled smiles as they engaged in casual conversation.
The three scenes began to change quickly. It entangled together and then rotated quickly. It continued to change over and over again. It made Rody feel dizzy. However, there was a faint cry of anger.
The cry was not clear but Rody could understand the anger, disappointment, and distortion.
The cry seemed to shout, "Why!"
Rody could feel a powerful pressure twist in his heart. His breath quickened, and he suddenly opened his eyes as he stepped back. His chest heaved up and down and his forehead was pouring with sweat.
"You understand now?" Kara’s voice was gentle. "It was at that moment the devout fanatic Prometheus had doubts about his faith and despaired. He completely abandoned his faith…That cry was the one that woke up my drifting soul.
"Prometheus was a fanatic. Otherwise, he would not have done that crazy action. It could be imagined that only someone with such strong spirit could gather that much resentment…and awaken the Devil Kara!
"So when I woke up, he carried the weight of my consciousness while I obtained his body." Kara smiled. "A young man in despair had questioned his faith and his soul was filled with doubt. When he unexpectedly woke up, we had a talk. The result of the conversation was that he would exchange souls with me. I would obtain his body!"
Rody gave a long sigh and looked at Kara. Rody seemed as though he could not say a single word.
"I came back." Kara faintly said, "My first wish was naturally to take revenge on those guys up there. However, looking at this world makes me sad and in despair. The world worships those despicable fellows and has been conquered by them! A steady stream of prayers flooded the world. With the strength of a young man that was seventeen years old, I am unable to do anything. Although I, the True God Kara, had revived, I was still just a young man that was seventeen years old. All I had was some elementary Light Series spells."
"So you decided to hide in the Temple…After that…" Rody spoke until ‘that’ then he sighed. He slowly added, "I understand."
He looked at Kara and said, "You used the identity of Prometheus to climb the ranks of the Temple. You wanted to obtain the position of the leader. However, your real intention was to overturn the Temple."
"Yes." Kara laughed. "I often thought to myself, ‘What kind of wonderful expressions would those guys up there make when they see their teachings overturned?’ I want to take my things back. All I need to do is to overturn the religious tool used by them to control the world."
"What then?" Rody could not help asking.
"Are you interested?" Kara laughed. "However, this is not the time to discuss this. We have more important things to do. In fact, I need your help!"
"Oh?"
Kara nodded and spoke in a serious tone. "Although I have returned, I have become an ordinary mortal. Although I have a God’s soul, I cannot think of any method to be used in this weak body. The funny thing is that I, the True God Kara, is building up my foundation step by step. Prometheus’ body is too weak." He could not help but look at Rody as he suddenly laughed, "If the body I took those years was your current body, I would not even need a year to master domain powers. However, with this body, I could not master domain powers until ten years ago."
He then laughed and said, "I, the True God Kara, needed to go back and train. What a joke.
"As I have told you earlier, I was here ten years ago. I removed that sorcery array outside to look for this thing." Kara glanced at Rody and said, "I have spoken so much. I believe you are also anxious to know what this thing is? Let me tell you. The Temple is afraid of the thing in here. However, there is one other thing that only I know. That is, there is another thing in this place. You all do not know about it, but this thing can give those guys up there a headache!"
Kara paused for a while and then slowly laughed, "That thing is my Divine Primordial Spirit. Once I retrieve that, I would become a real God."
"Divine Primordial Spirit?" Rody could not understand.

 A knock sounded at the door waking Russ up from the light nap he'd slipped into. "Come on, it's time. They are here to escort us down." Ry's booming voice sounded for the other side of the door.
Russ stretched out his long limbs before pushing up from the bed and opening the door. He leaned against the doorway. "So, what do you suggest I wear?"
Ry looked the boy over. "Though I'd love to see their reaction to you in just that, I'd suggest a shirt and gym shorts or sweats." He indicated his own attire. "They already know we have been informed of the fight, so they won't be offended by our casual attire." He was about to turn away when another thought struck him, "Though if you have to go in front of them again and fighting isn't in the plans, dress better." Ry added before turning back into the hallway.
Russ arched a brow and peeked out of the room. There was a stiff looking man dressed in a solid black suit and white button-down shirt waiting like a statue by the door. "This should be a fun stay..." Russ grumbled. He shut the door and turned to his bags. It didn't take him long to get dressed and make his way into the living area. He glanced from the man at the door to Ry. "I'm ready. Let's do this damn thing."
Ry arched his brows. "In that much of a hurry to get your ass kicked."
Russ smiled, "I'm in this much of a hurry to finally have a fair shot against your old ass." He smacked one hand against the other, "POP! The sound of your old ass breaking a hip!"
Ry narrowed his eyes as the man by the door tried to keep the straight, stricken expression on his own face. "In your dreams, pup."
Russ could feel the tension building in his muscles as he followed the man through the winding corridors. Ry followed close behind him and was keeping oddly quiet.
"Wait here, I'll announce you." The man in the suit said as he stopped before massive double doors.
Ry waited until the man had closed the doors behind him. "Remember, watch everything you say. Don't give them a reason to suspect you and DON'T let any of them touch you." Ry whispered leaning down close to Russ.
Russ sent him a questioning glance, "What do you mean touch me?"
"Many of the council members have the power of site. Some can see the past others the future… either way Jos will show up in yours and not in the way we are trying to sell it."
Russ let out an irritated sigh. "I don't understand the point in hiding it. If we get married, I'm sure they'll find out then. Why not now?"
Ry growled, "We've already went over this. If you want to help Jos, do this for her!" Ry straightened as the doors opened. "I won't hold back, but know, you are stronger than you think. If you use the skills Arei and I have taught you, you'll do fine even without a full shift." Ry patted his back as he walked through the doors past him. "Good luck, pup." He called out over his shoulder.
Russ swallowed hard and followed Ry through the doors. The brightly lit room took him by surprise. It wasn't what he expected. He had expected something straight off a middle of the day television court room show, but this was far from that. There were high ceilings trimmed in gold with beautiful images painted across the entire expanse of the ceilings. The walls were a crisp white with pristine painting set between tall pillars framed in elegant golden frames.
"Welcome, Prince Boosilis. I do hope the rooms are to your tastes." An elegantly clad woman stood up from the row of chairs lining the front of the room. Her colleagues nodded their heads from their seats in acknowledgement of his title. "Please have a seat, if you'd like." She said extending an elegant hand out to indicate a seating area.
Russ watched as Ry walked over to where the woman indicated and stood behind one of the chairs. Ry nodded subtlety. Russ squared his shoulders and put on a mask of indifference as he walked over to the chair Ry indicated. Once he was seated, he held the woman's large, cold owl-like gaze. He kept his eyes trained on her beautiful, ethereal face as to avoid staring at the two tiny horns protruding through her hair line.
The woman smiled down at him. "I suppose a boy raised by a dark fae and the Kraken wouldn't blink twice when seeing a room of creatures in their natural forms." She sent a smile to her other companions before sitting back in her own chair. She brought her hands together tenting her index fingers together in front of her mouth. "As you may already know," She glanced over to Ry. "I am Selena, moon goddess, overseer of witchcraft and wiccans." She pointed to the far end of the group. "To my left you have Marcus, the vampire representative; Pavato, he oversees creatures and spirits dealing with energy manipulation; Isha, who I believe you already know." She arched her brows waiting for a reaction from Russ, but when one was not forthcoming, she moved on. "To my right you have Lamia, she will be your rep as she deals with shifters. And they are: Thetis, queen of the nereids and rep to those such races and Prometheus the titian. He oversees many of our more powerful creatures, low level gods, demi-gods, and humans. He will be overseeing your dear friend when it is her turn here at court." Selena narrowed her eyes still waiting on some form of reaction from the young wolf, but his poker face held. "Lamia…" She said handing the floor over to her.
Lamia glanced up over the files she'd been examining. Her slitted eyes studied Russ for several moments before she spoke. She pressed a button on the desk in front of her. "This conversation will be recorded for future evaluation and use. Pleassse, for the records, state your full name, classssification, and title." Her s's rolled out with a snake like hiss as she spoke.
Russ cleared his throat feeling the greenish yellow glow of the snake eyes burn into his. "Russell Alexsandro Boosilis, son of King Alexsandro and Queen Camilla Boosilis, I am an alpha werewolf. My clan resides on Zakynthos island and I am here to take my place among my people."

When Russ didn���t reply, Ry nudged him. Russ stood up. "Yes, that is the reason I'm here before you today, to prove I have full control over my alpha form."
She arched a brow at him. "Those are some big words for such a young prince, Mr. Boosilisss."
He nodded leaning against the railing surrounding the seats he and Ry had been directed to. He let his muscles ripple as he tested his ability to partially shift within the enchanted building. A wide grin spread across his lips as many members of the council took notice. "I may be young, but let the records note, I know what I want and what I'm capable of."
Lamia nodded, "Right thisss way then." She stood and slithered out from behind the council members seating area.
As her body slid out past the tall half wall blocking the majority of the council's bodies, Russ's eyes widened. He quickly masked his surprise and waited for her to lead the way to what ever area they would force him to fight in. His attention fell to the recording device she now carried in her hands. He sent a questioning look at Ry, who only nodded and motioned for Russ to follow the group toward the back doors. Little comfort was found in the fact that the massive man closed in tightly behind him the second he stepped out from the stand of seats.
A large man with the darkest mocha skin and contrasting brilliant blue eyes held the door. Ry nodded in greeting, "Marcus." He said simply.
"Orion." The man replied. "It has been quite some time."
"Not nearly long enough." Ry answered as he walked past the man.
Marcus laughed, the draw of something ancient and wise mingled with the sound. "You don't still harbor that grudge, do you?" He narrowed his eyes teasingly, "If so, werewolf or not, I may just have to cheer for the boy."
Ry rolled his eyes. "Jokes don't become you, Marcus. Give it up." He said without looking back at the man. He clasped Russ on the back as he stood frozen in front of a large metal cage meant to be able to withstand an MMA fight of supernatural proportions. "After you, kid." He said.
Lamia lifted the recording device. "Please state your name, for the record." She said pointing the device in Ry's direction.
"Orion the Hunter, son of Poseidon." Ry answered as if it had been recorded and played back on auto play.
"And state your reasons for being here with Prince Russell Boosilis." Lamia said still rolling her 's's in her snake like fashion.
"As I have completed my original task of seeing the Prince here safely; I am now here to apply for the permanent position of mentor and bodyguard to Russell Boosilis in any position he is in, currently or in the future." Ry stated matter-of-factly.
"Remind us, Orion the hunter, is the boy's mentor supposed to be his own werewolf uncle who has been overseeing the pack for these past years in the Prince's absence?" Lamia prodded.
Ry nodded. "Yes, but I believe there will be some conflict of interest on the part of Fernando Boosilis, and only hope to prevent farther complication to the succession of the Mediterranean werewolf clans, as the Mediterranean is also my home as, well with my own settlement on Zakynthos." Ry could feel Russ's eyes on him now, but he wasn't about to show any form of weakness or leniency with the kid here right now.
Lamia nodded as she turned to Prometheus. "Are these terms acceptable to you?"
Prometheus stood silent for a moment before looking back and forth between Russ and Ry and nodding. "Under the powers granted by Zeus, I approve this arrangement and will draw up the necessary paperwork to be signed in the coming weeks."
Lamia nodded before speaking loudly into the recording device. "For the records, we are gathered here this month of November the twenty seconded day to witness Russell Alexsandro Boosilis's demonstration of control of his Alpha form in a cage match against Orion the Hunter. Please note for the records, the wards are up within these areas of the building and no outside magic will be used to assist in transformations or manipulations of any kind. All powers permitted inside the cage will be that of the individuals own strengths and inter powers and controls. Do you agree to these terms?"
"Yes, I Orion agree." Ry called out loud and clearly before casting his gaze on Russ, silently encouraging him to answer in the same fashion.
Russ nodded. "I, Russ-ell Boosilis agree." His gaze moved around the room as he waited for what was to come next.
Lamia lifted the box. "Please state the names of each witness here today, for the records." Each member of the council called off their names, titles, and affiliations if they had any. When everyone had finished Lamia nodded and proceeded to announce herself as the officiator. "Please enter the cage." She said to Russ and Ry.
The two men exchanged glances before moving forward and into the steel bars of the cage .
