Causing immediate excitement among Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters, Mr. Bingley, a wealthy young gentleman, has rented a nearby country estate, Netherfield. He arrives in town accompanied by his fashionable sister and his good friend, Mr. Darcy. While Bingley is well-received in the community, Darcy begins his acquaintance with smug condescension and proud distaste for all the “country” people. Bingley and Jane Bennet begin to grow close despite Mrs. Bennet’s embarrassing interference and the opposition of Bingley’s sister, who considers Jane socially inferior. Elizabeth is stung by Darcy’s haughty rejection of her at a local dance and decides to match his coldness with her own wit.

Elizabeth begins a friendship with Mr. Wickham, a militia officer who has a history with Darcy. Wickham claims that Darcy seriously mistreated him. Elizabeth immediately seizes upon this information as another reason to hate Darcy. Ironically, but unbeknownst to her, Darcy finds himself gradually drawn to Elizabeth.
Just as Bingley appears to be on the point of proposing marriage to Jane, he moves away from Netherfield, leaving Jane confused and upset. Elizabeth is convinced that Bingley’s sister has conspired with Darcy to separate Jane and Bingley.

Mr. Collins, a distant relative of the Bennets, makes an unexpected visit. He is a recently ordained clergyman employed by the wealthy Lady Catherine de Bourgh. On his way to visit his patron, Collins makes a visit, intending to find a wife from among the Bennet sisters. At first, he pursues Jane; however, when Mrs. Bennet mentions she is involved with Mr. Bingley, he turns to Elizabeth. He soon proposes marriage to Elizabeth, who refuses him, much to her mother’s distress. Collins quickly recovers and proposes to Elizabeth’s close friend, Charlotte Lucas, who immediately accepts him. Their marriage takes place soon after.

In the spring, Elizabeth joins Charlotte and Mr. Collins at his parish in Kent. The parish is adjacent to Rosings Park, the grand manor of Mr. Darcy’s aunt, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, where Elizabeth is frequently invited. While calling on Lady Catherine, Mr. Darcy encounters Elizabeth. She discovers from Darcy’s cousin that it was he who separated Bingley and Jane, as she suspected. Soon after, Darcy admits his love of Elizabeth and proposes to her. Elizabeth refuses him. When he asks why she should refuse him, she confronts him with his sabotage of Bingley’s relationship with Jane and his history with Wickham. Darcy responds with a long letter justifying his actions.

Thus, everything is set up to bring to conclusion the various love affairs—happily, or perhaps unhappily. Whatever the various resolutions, Darcy, Bingley, Jane, Elizabeth, as well as others, will need to overcome their pride and prejudices if they are to find love in the midst of these uncertain and complex relationships.

"Dear parliament members and everyone who supports me, I humbly accept your nomination for president in the election campaign. The reason why I'm standing here is all thanks to your support. I understand your troubles and clearly know what kind of predicament we are facing now!"
Parliament member Nakvard stood on the podium in the middle of the plaza. He wore a formal black suit, spread his hands apart, and gazed at the dense sea of people below him. The incredible sense of accomplishment satisfied him greatly.
"It has been a dark year for the Country of Light. Not only did we face the invasion of the Undead Creatures, but we also suffered the betrayal of our allies. Our soil has been stained by the undead and the bones of our dearest were forced to be awakened from their eternal rest and against their will, wreaking havoc on this continent! Are we going to let this matter off just like this?"
Parliament member Nakvard raised his right hand and clenched it into a fist.
"Angels and Elves can't be trusted. Their first reaction wasn't to help us when we faced threats from the Undead Creatures. Instead, they seized the chance to gain benefits and rise above us to make us their slaves forever! Same goes for the lackeys who sold their dignity! People of the Country of Light! Our failures in the past shouldn't be used as an excuse for us to back down now. The former Light Parliament failed to fulfill its rule due to incompetent leadership and even abandoned its dignity before the other races. Back then, when our ancestors established the Light Parliament and raised the torches of freedom and liberty, they hoped that humans could stand alone on this continent. We're not affiliated with the other races and not their slaves at all! We have to use our hands and language to tell them that we have the right to stand on the same heights as them!"
"Oooooh!"
The people instantly burst into cheers. They raised their arms frantically and waved to the man before them.
"I guarantee that I, Nakvard, will rebuild the flags that our ancestors worked so hard to establish and find the glory and pride of our Country of Light. I will use our strength to tell everyone that the Country of Light will forever be the lighthouse of freedom for us humans! My father was born in Sauron while my mother came from the distant Kanali. They arrived in this great country for the sake of glorious freedom. This miracle can only happen here! During this difficult period, we must unite as one. Right now, regardless of gender, identity, and as long as you are human, we should stand in unison! We will always be the strongest race on this continent! We should not listen to words that attempt to split us, let alone shake our own beliefs, and make wrong choices that the non-humans have made. Humans are a race with infinite possibilities! And only we can control our destiny!"
"… Noble people of the Country of Light. Listen to me!"
On the luxurious platform on the other side, a man who wore a scarlet suit spread his arms apart and gazed at his supporters.
"Our Country of Light has faced too many unprecedented disasters last year. We've lost lives, lands, and jobs. Some people attributed this to the non-humans and evil Undead Creatures, but is that the truth? No! This isn't the truth. I, Greig Walker, confirm it! The threat from non-humans does exist, and the same goes for the evil Undead Creatures. However, the biggest threat comes from our internal issues as a nation! I'm sure you've already seen the refugees who swarmed into our country with greed in mind. They dominated the resources and benefits that should have been owned by us! Do they have the right to do this? No! They don't! They came here and didn't provide any help to our country. Instead, they dragged our country into the edge of recession! My people! You know that the Light Parliament is currently in a tough spot and our finances have been greatly affected. For this reason, we can't even guarantee the support of the frontline army, which led to their defeat!"
Greig swung his right arm. The dense sea of people also clenched their fists and waved flags that were written with his slogan.
"All right. You must be curious of where the taxes we paid have gone to. Aren't the taxes used to protect our country and people? No! I have to tell you that our money has been snatched by those shameless thieves who sucked our blood like vampires! Noble people of the Country of Light, our ancestors built this country and gave us courage. People with dignity reap the rewards they deserve through labor rather than squandering hard-earned income from others. The refugees came to our country to enjoy our welfare, status, and honor that we exchanged with money and peace that our soldiers used their lives to defend with. And yet, they are despicable to have made not even a little bit of contribution!
"People of the Country of Light, can you tolerate this? No! Impossible! I, Greig Walker, swear that after I become the president of the Light Parliament, I will kick those lazy, greedy vampires out of our country. This country established by our ancestors with their blood and sweat doesn't exist for the greedy vampires! Only people like us with the true blood of the Country of Light are the true owners of this country! Of course, we also will face external threats, but if our internal issues aren't resolved, we won't be able to unite and face disasters that will destroy us! Please open your eyes and don't be deceived by the filthy words of the shameless ones who come from far away. They will only plunder more things from us under the banner of racial harmony. They always demand us to come up with money, status and even jobs for the sole reason of the freedom and glory of the Country of Light. Can we tolerate everything? Can we bear it all? Should we endure it?! No! We won't suffer in silence anymore!"
"… We've experienced a tough period."
Parliament member Carlson stood on the somewhat decayed wooden platform. The tall city walls blocked the glaring sun while thick, dense shadows enveloped him. The chilly winds blew with a putrid stench. He gazed at the sparse people below him, gritting his teeth and supporting himself with his thin, shriveled hands.
"The torment that we suffered from last year was unforgettable. But everyone, the pain should also wake us up from our daydreams. The Country of Light is not just a nation for humans and it is too tough to rely on ourselves to face the disaster of the entire continent. It is precisely at this moment that we should abandon our former suspicions and unite as one. This time, we can't let fear and anger blind our eyes. There may be endless disputes between us, but death will always be the same despite the differences in our race. No matter if you are an elf, dwarf, angel, or human. No matter if you are wealthy or poor, death will still fall upon everyone. It is at this moment that we should help and support each other!"
Clap… Clap… Clap…
Sporadic claps sounded and the elderly parliament member took in a deep breath. The chilly wind left him coughing, but even so, he held his head up strongly and looked at his supporters.
"Some things will not change by simply relying on our will. We will get through this tough period, but if we can abandon our former suspicions, the final victory shall belong to us! What we need to do now is not to confront one another. Instead, we need to forgive the insignificant arrogance and prejudice in our hearts, and make the choice that is most beneficial to us and our country! No one wants and is willing to suffer and this is awfully clear to us. Think about it… For your future generations and for them to continue living happily in sunshine on this free land. Shouldn't we make a little sacrifice for them?"
Sonia shifted her gaze away from the window and shook her head. Then, she closed the window to block out the wind and clamor.
"It looks so ridiculous every time. How boring."
Sonia scoffed. At this moment, Casabianca was incredibly bustling. However, Sonia wasn't interested at all because she knew what those people were on about—it was simple. The Light Parliament election was about to begin.
In fact, the election should have begun during the second half of last year and the new president would have already been selected. However, due to the invasion of the Country of Darkness, the chairman got to stay in the office for a while longer. But Sonia was clear that his days as the chairman were numbered. The Country of Light's performance in the wars were horrible. They lost continuously and had to rely on the Munn Kingdom and Rhode to defend the Winter Castle, especially when Rhode was the public enemy of the people of the Country of Light. Under intentional brainwashing by the Light Parliament, the entire Country of Light knew that the young man named Rhode had sold his soul to the angels, betrayed the humans, and was shamelessly reborn to fight for the angels. Not only that, but the Light Parliament also pushed most of the responsibility for defeat to Rhode, claiming that if he didn't cripple their legendary beings, the Country of Light wouldn't have suffered this badly in the wars against the Undead Army. It could also be said that in the Country of Light, Rhode's reputation was at the 'Hated' level. However, Rhode didn't give a damn at all because as long as he wiped them all out in the future, his reputation level wouldn't matter anymore.
Furthermore, the Winter Castle was currently occupied by the Battle Angel Army now. Although the retreat of the Undead Army had left the Light Parliament in an awkward position, the politicians weren't at their wits' end in this situation. They quickly pushed the responsibilities to the shoulders of the elderly chairman, asserting that if he didn't hand the Winter Castle over due to his misjudgment, the Country of Light wouldn't be in such a dilemma. This resulted in the elderly chairman being detested wherever he went and it was almost certain that he wouldn't continue being in office.
If it were in the past, Sonia would surely be engulfed in it. No matter what, as the five largest financial groups, the Lockos Financial Group had to maintain their strong political influence. On the other hand, Sonia, as the third executive officer, had to guarantee on behalf of her family that the election was successful. But, this time, Sonia was able to stay away from the trouble. The reason was simple. She had been chosen to stay with Lilian and after Lilian's fall out with the Light Parliament, the Light Parliament wasn't able to find someone who could communicate with Lilian. Now that Lilian enjoyed being with Sonia, the Light Parliament naturally wouldn't let this chance slip.
It was due to this reason that Sonia became one of the most important members of the Light Parliament, where not even the next chairman would be as crucial as her. Not only that, but the Light Parliament also 'promoted' Sonia in order to let her work better with them. They would be making Sonia take over a vacant position after the new chairman had been elected and she would become the youngest official member of the Light Parliament.
Sonia knew that the main reason why the Light Parliament trusted her so much was due to the Lockos Financial Group. It was due to the relationship between the Light Parliament and the Lockos Financial Group that the Light Parliament believed that Sonia would definitely not betray them and side with the powerless Light Dragon.
But it was a pity that the Light Parliament had it all planned out wrongly.
Sonia revealed a smile at this thought. Then, she turned around and walked down the spotlessly white corridor.

Rhode shot up and stared at the unfamiliar ceiling.

The Hogwarts express came to a halt and streams of students came rushing off the train. Kai himself had already jumped off as soon as the train had shown signs of stopping, his luggage had been safely stored in his storage dimension that was merged with the world inside the blood orb.

He was already making his way to the castle when he heard a stern cry "First years please come over here immediately!" It was obvious that it was Professor McGonagall's stern accented Scottish voice. It was the one indication that caused Kai to know that he needed to hurry if he wanted to have time to introduce himself to the students during the great feast. 

The reason that he cared so much about this introduction was that it was a crucial moment for solidifying himself in the minds of the students and as a result, Harry, as a member of the staff and show himself as a trustworthy vampire. He was planning to show his true species to show himself as an honest person and make it easier to gain Harry's trust. 

Dumbledore probably expected him to hide his identity and use that to kick him out the school. By telling the world of his identity then he would be able to tell them that he was in control of himself and had no need to hide who or what he was. 

There was also the fact that he was a member of the Court, an organization that fought, killed and nearly eradicated all of the vampires in the blood war. This would show his credibility as a trustworthy vampire by his being a member of the Court. 

He would also be able to show Harry that he wasn't the heartless and evil monster that he was sure Dumbledore would tell him that he was.

There were only advantages to revealing his identity and many disadvantages to hiding it. As he was thinking this he had already entered the great hall and was proceeding to take a seat near the end of the table. 

It was next to a heavily blushing professor Burbage, the professor in charge of teaching muggle studies. On his other side was a rather silent professor Babbling, the professor who was responsible for teaching ancient runes.

After seating himself he turned to the two of them and said "Hello nice to meet you my name is Kai Darcone. I will be teaching Care of Magical Creatures this year." 

"Nice to meet you Professor Darcone, my name is Bathsheba Babbling I teach the third-year elective class Ancient Runes." Professor Babbling replied. 

"Hello, Mr Darcone. I am Charity Burbage, the Muggle studies professor. So-" She paused seemingly stuck with her comment. 

Kai noticed her hesitation and said, "its fine I won't take offence, speak your mind." His words were extremely compelling and professor Burbage seemed to have forgotten her hesitation.

"How were you accepted to the school, I would expect you to be too young to be accepted here, after all, to teach at Hogwarts you have to be a master in your profession of choice, no offence intended of course."

She seemed to be the more curious one out of the two women that sat next to Kai. He gave her question some thought and then said "Despite how young I appear I am in fact 40 years old. I have had sufficient time to hone and master my craft. That and fighting in multiple wars between magical creatures makes you learn all you can about the opposing forces.

"Oh!" Burbage exclaimed, she had the decency to show that she was ashamed. "That is..." Once again things were rather awkward. Babbling decided to break the silence and asked him "So what is your secret to keeping your youthful appearance?"

"Yeah, I would like to know as well." Burbage chimed in as well. 
"Well as I am a vampire, I have a much longer life span and thus age much slower than a normal wizard."

As soon as he shed light to his youthful appearance the male portion of the eavesdropping staff members apart from professor Flitwick looked away in disgust. The deep-seated prejudice that was a main part of the wizarding world was the main root of this occurrence. The fact that vampires were known terrorists also helped their fear and disgust of the blood-sucking creatures. 

Flitwick was the only male wizard sitting at the table that wasn't prejudiced towards Kai after his reveal. He too had felt the prejudice towards the half breeds as they were called. He could relate to Kai and noticed the change in behaviour by the members of the staff. He decided that he would talk to Kai later to help him settle in.

The women were too busy ogling at Kai, whether it was directly or occasional glances to care. Kai noticed their not so subtle glances but couldn't be bothered to call them out. 

After the introductions, the two professors on Kai's sides started talking and Kai discovered that both the professors were members of the Court, Dumbledore, of course, was unaware of this.

They had both joined years ago after hearing about the new inventions and discoveries that the Court had released. Kai was rather glad as he had gained two more loyal allies. They were unfortunately rather low-level members of the court as they couldn't work full time in the Court as they were teaching. 

At that moment Dolores Umbridge, the toad-faced prejudiced undersecretary to the minister and the new defence professor walked in and moved to sit at the table. She noticed that there was only a spare seat next to Snape and Flitwick and she curled her lip in disgust. 

As the ministry official that created the werewolf legislation act, she had no need to sit next to a half-goblin. In fact, if it was possible the goblins would be next to recieve a restrictive act but as they were the wizarding bankers for the time being they were untouchable unless she wanted all of the economy to collapse. 

She looked over at the other spare seat that was on Dumbledore's side and walked towards it. It was meant for McGonagall who was also the vice principal of Hogwarts and Umbridge's taking off her seat was a direct insult to her and to Dumbledore. 

Kai mentally applauded her action when Dumbledore appeared this time in his seat in a shower of flames. Fawkes his Phoenix was on his shoulder and had teleported him there. 

Phoenixes were able to teleport almost anywhere they wanted to, it was a part of their being a part of nature, it was their innate magic and Kai made a mental note to try and take the specific ability from Fawkes. 

But he was reminded that the Firebird had no blood as it was made from pure fire and it resulted in him failing to even attempt drinking his blood.

Dumbledore looked at his rather unique staff, ignoring Kai's rather bold glare and said to them that the students would be coming now. Just as he finished his statement the hall doors were opened and the students poured in. 

After they were seated, ( Kai had been searching for Harry and only averted his gaze from him once Dumbledore glanced at him) McGonagall entered with the first years in tow. Kai noticed the tattered sorting hat sitting on the stool for the first time and assumed that Dumbledore had brought it when he teleported in. 

After the sorting, Dumbledore began his start of term speech…

Kai is a tourist on holiday when he is killed in a terrorist attack. He wakes up during the year 1981 in a forest and finds out that he is a vampire progenitor in the Harry Potter world. Kai then heads out to the nearest human settlement which happens to be Godric Hollow.

Crynn POV

"Tch, leaving me all alone in the forest," I grumbled all alone in the spot where the centaurs hatefully left me, "Bloody arrogant," I grizzled in mock British (I'm not British). While talking to myself, making funny jokes to myself trying to relieve my boredom, I didn't realize that the centaurs were back. "Human," a not so arrogant voice sounded from behind me, I turned around and saw Magorian, Bane and a lot of centaurs. Let me carefully emphasize, an awful lot of centaurs.

"We have considered, and decided to help you on your conquest," Magorian blankly said. Now I know what that awful lot of centaurs is for, thank God it's not to kill me. "Great, you accepted, when are we attacking," I felt my mouth stretch upwards. Yup, everything is going well, my inner thought suggested. "Now, we will be directly attacking the main colony, the acromantulas won't know what hit them, you'll do as a distraction," He solemnly said. "Why don't we attack the smaller colonies one by one first," I suggested back.

"The Acromantula has a connection with their ruler, Aragog the Great, if we attack the branches, Aragog would come to know that something's wrong. If we directly attack and kill Aragog, the connection will be severed the entire network of acromantulas will be in chaos making each branch very vulnerable," Magorian explained.

"But I slaughtered an entire lair, shouldn't that already alert Aragog," I pondered. Magorian responded with tha answer I'm hoping to get, "You were attacked, you did not attack, you were attacked. That's the difference, if you attacked them yourself, than it would alert Aragog, but you were attacked which in turn passed off in Aragog's mind as, simple hunting." Now I get it, Aragog the Great isn't that great at noticing a lair getting massacred.


"We should be on the move human, the factor of surprise is with us, the Father of the Stars is watching us," I simply nodded, I don't know what Father of the Stars guy is watching us and why the centaur used factor instaed of element, so old-fashioned. I never fancied the centaurs as religious, but you do indeed learn something new everyday. "Come on up human," Magorian said, patting on his back, the other centaurs looked shocked and horrified at having their leader carry a human like some lowly stallion. "The Grand Elder commands we take haste," one sentence from their leader with the words 'Grand Elder' shut them all up. Bane is still experiencing his 'Bane' I see.


I hesitated to get on his back, but I evenntually did, the Grand ELder has quite a power to make Magorian do such a 'lowly' gesture unbefitting of the centaur leader. "Well then, lets move," I said loudly, and Magorian began galloping through trees marching forward leading the centaur army through the forest. "Do you know where the main colony," I asked with my mouth threatening to open, this is just like riding a rolercoaster on the back of a horse, having such individual speed is unfair, and I know the leader will always be faster than the rest but he's holding back to make sure the rest catches up.


"We centaurs have lived in this forest for generations, we have mapped and known of every layout inside the forest, we know the position of every lair and the main colony of the acromantula." He said with pride. "And you never thought of erasing the acromantulas when they were but a few creatures in this entire forest," I wondered why the centaurs who have such hate towards those spiders never tried to exterminate the acromantulas before they even developed. "The previous leader is blinded with arrogance and thought ourselves the rulers of this forest, 47 years ago, he foolishly let Aragog stay in the forest and develop out of control until now, where we will seize this opportunity to get rid of the scums once and for all."


I just hummed in response, what he said is true, arrogance and pride is among one of the most dangerous sins out of the 7 deadly sins. Pride can take someone far away, but it can in turn drag someone down further from where they are. I can totally understand how the previous centaur leader is blinded by his pride. Every human or creature must have been blinded by their pride somewhere in their lives.


"I've always wondered, why don't you centaurs accept the being position by the Ministry," I asked on a whim, curiosity often killed the cat, but mine don't. "Hmph, the Ministry are a group of arrogant wizards and witches they think they can classify anything down to the earth, we centaurs rejected because we don't want to be associated with those disgusting vampires, we centaurs loathe them down our souls," Magorian said with furrowed brows, hatred showing out when speeking of the vampires. "What wrongs do they commit for you to subject them as such," curiosity got to me again.


"Those horrible blood sucking bats serve their so called 'honourable' God, Personification of Darkness, Erebus. This causes those beings to gain immense power from the shade of darkness, in other words the night, but in turn of believing in the God they risk offending the God of Light, Apollo. Though not necessarily enemies, the two Gods are polar opposites, they cannot co-exist. Apollo then cursed the vampires making them weak towards the sun. But there are some vampires whom we are friendly to, the daywalkers are special vampires who thread in the shadows, believing both Gods as a mean of protection towards the world, where light exists, darkness lurks. This thought has the Daywalkers obtain recognition from both Gods, ridding them of the curse of sunlight." Magorian finished his storytelling.

That is one long fascinating explanation, it seems that the lore behind Harry Potter is complicated and massive, the Wizarding World I was sent to by God, seems to be a lot more sophisticated than I thought it would be. I nodded repeatedly as if accepting my own thoughts. I was about to ask why they hated the Personification of Darkness Erebus but then, "We are near!" Magorian shouted out, pushing me from my inner thoughts, the raid is to begin.

The more you live, the more you know and as they say, "Death is the Next Greatest Adventure". I can't lie but say it's true, although a great adventure may include getting chased by a dragon. But hey! That's the price you pay for getting to live twice... Right??

Rezar looked at the priest with a look that the priest himself couldn't understand, it wasn't one of decision or disdain, hell it wasn't a look of anything, but at the very least the priest felt that it meant something. But he reckoned that what Rezar had just said was right, the world wasn't as simple or as nice as he had made it out to be, the consequences of some actions don't just vanish like that.

"The only way that you can truly make up for this, is one if you help me some more, I promise it would be worth your while and your church will prosper. You just have to be willing to stand by me and don't look at me like I'm carrying the worst disease to have ever existed in Elysium."

"But you are the worst disea....." The priest swallowed the rest of his words, that had slipped out before he knew it, but Rezar knew he was right. Something hat can chase permanent death in a world that's practically a virtual recycle bin for the human soul. He was a fucking virus! That could eat up everything in it's path.

"The second thing you would need to do is help me bring Roland to justice!" it was at this point that there was a look on Rezar's face. It was calm, but his dark midnight blue eyes seemed to glint with a hidden shine of stars. The priest has lived many life times and has had the blessing and curse of remembering it all, he could recognize such a look even in his sleep; it was cold rage and wrath.

"You're going to kill him aren't you?" The priest asked with a voice that was just as calm and just as cool. Rezar funded to him and this time he gave a mischievous smile.

"What? Did you think I was going to adopt him? Hahahaha nope, Elysium would be very much like earth in that regard, there would be no justice for me or the people who have died, not unless I take it for myself. And lately I've realized I'm very fond of taking things for myself, especially when it's a life." The priest felt a chill, but he still felt that he needed to say this.

"Then you're out of luck, he's already left for his family's lands in the east. The coward couldn't spend an extra second because he was scared the slaves would tear him apart, he also took the doctor with him, pushing me into that role until another one is found. You would never get a chance to see him again." It might seem like the Priest was trying to discourage Rezar, and maybe he was, but this was he reality of his life, the quicker he accepted it, the better.

"That wouldn't stop me, if my plan goes according to plan, I would be out of this place and a free man within 6 months to 3 years. My sentence was slavery for all lifetime and all reincarnations, it would take a little more than a single platinum coin to get me out of here, however I can achieve that with what I've been given.

Three years is not too late for me to go get my revenge, Roland can enjoy his borrowed time until I come for him. And you're going to help me." It wasn't a question, Rezar didn't have time to give the Priest a choice, after everything that's happened to him, the priest was either on his side, or part of the enemies he has to take down.

"I'll try my best to help, this is just and it's not something God will stand for. What do you need from me Rezar?" the priest asked, accepting his fate and justifying it in the name of justice, not even caring or thinking that maybe for Rezar to get to Roland, he would most definitely leave a pile of corpses in his wake, the priest really had a problem with justification and seeing the bigger picture, he just did as his heart led him. Rezar felt it was foolish and stupid, but it was admirable and Understandable because before he was placed in front of slaves and forced to his death, he was just like that.

"Well first of all I need you to train me, teach me everything about fighting, especially how to fight in groups, like an army or something. I'm sure you've experienced or seen something like that in one of your lives. You also have to teach me how to fight too, I don't want to be weak anymore or have strength with focus and direction.

Secondly I'll need you to help me make money, I can mine and excavate ores, the simplest to the rarest and have them available in bulk, enough that a single shipment of it would have you rolling in gold coins. I don't trust Lenore, she might have tried her best, but she's still a puppet under the control of that Roland and his family, so I'd rather avoid dealings with her.

I'll give you the ores, and you'll be responsible for selling them. Either get a merchant you can trust, or go to a large town or city and sell it all. Either way you'll help me make the money I need to get free of slavery. It would also help you and your church, I'll give you a 2% cut from every profit we make. Don't be greedy Padre, two percent of a hundred fold is two gold, that's frankly too much money for you in a month. If we'll be making more than that.
And finally I need information from you, it's very important and I'd like to know what it means or if there's a secret behind it, because I can't remember anything about this particular topic….. what's a vampire?" 

The Priest was taken aback, from his reaction he knew exactly what a vampire was, and it was definitely not information that someone other than him was supposed to know. How and in what way had Rezar came in contact with information about a vampire, not unless...no! It would not be wise to jump into speculation, it would be better to just answer the question.

" Vampires are old secrets, very old! What I didn't tell you is that I've been alive for no less than 469 reincarnations, and in all of them, the least amount of years I've lived is 16 years old, before dying and moving on to the next.  In all of those reincarnations, I've came across vampires in my first, to sixteenth reincarnation and they've never been heard from since.

Vampires! Are the true definition of eternal life, they're very much immortal and were born from a time when death classes were actually as a peak. It was very dark times Rezar, necromancers were very powerful beings that could actually control the very cycle of reincarnation with the help of a powerful book they called the Necron.

 They were unstoppable, they brought death, they brought chaos, but most especially none of them were humans!
The necromancers were able to obtain a racial upgrade well suited for their death classes, that race had many disadvantages. They couldn't come out in sunlight, they were allergic to silver, they couldn't come near holy places, or come in contact with holy water, and they could only survive on one thing alone...the blood of the living.

But even with all those disadvantages there were also great advantages, even at the basic tier of the race, they had strength akin to a level 50 warrior, speed akin to a level 60 ranger or rogue, they could heal from almost any damage in seconds even if you use the things I've mentioned to harm them. As long as they aren't exposed to silver, sunlight and holy water for long they'll heal. There are even some very powerful enough to heal from a decapitated head.

They controlled the shadows, and the night itself, they had a fondness for bats, could shape shift, had a powerful Charming ability called the allure, and the most dangerous of them all, they were the most powerful necromancers in existence. They unlocked and utilized parts of necromancy never seen before of has ever been seen since then. But they weren't just necromancers, they were lichs, death knights, soul reapers, death adjudicators, dullahans, and so many of the most powerful and the most dangerous of death classes.

Their reign was one of revenge Rezar, they went after the people living in Elysium, for all of the prejudice and torture they went through, the sought revenge. And with the use of the most powerful tool ever created in Elysium, the Necron, they could decide how you lived, when you lived and who you're supposed to be. It was the Necron that gave me the trait of Memory Bank! Making it so that I remember everything in all of my lifetimes.

The vampires were destroyed with help from the outside, someone was able to create an event in Elysium, they called it the daylight war. At the time the time the vampires were trying to create a spell that would shroud Elysium in darkness for all eternity, and with the help of someone on the outside, in they real world, the spell was piggy backed by an elite group of religious classes. There was sunlight for three whole months! And that was enough to completely wipe out the vampires until none of them were left.

The Necron was lost, tales of it and the vampires that created it were lost to history, somehow Elysium seemed to have deleted and removed it from the memories of everyone and everything. Maybe there are records of it in the outside world, but none in here.....except for me.

The thing about vampires is that, they're like zombies, in fact they're the pinnacle of undead creatures, and after the first vampire completed his racial Quest that changed him into a vampire, he became capable of turning others into the same creature, by draining them dry of their blood, and giving them his own to drink when they're on the brink of death. Then he kills them And then buries them. In under three days, they're back on ground, stronger, faster, and with an intense thirst for blood. Now the most powerful beings to walk Elysium.
Rezar...…please answer me truthfully as this is important.....are you a vampire? Is that how you survived?" Rezar looked at the priest and said.

"I'm not a vampire priest, the reason for my resurrection is very different, but now that I know what a vampire is, I can wholeheartedly say...…it's a disgusting race to be!"

Some time in the future Humanity conquers death! life continues, on and on in the endless stretches of a virtual paradise called Elysium. or at least that's what the Brochures used to stay.

 Elysium was no different from Earth, the only difference is that with each new reincarnation, you get a chance to live differently, better, and a chance to achieve more with pieces of your memories from your old life intact. 

But Elysium needs balance, why? no one really knows. but to keep that balance the death classes were created, and any who comes to posses such class or the traits that come with it; gains the ability to deliver the (True Death) a fitting end to immortality and endless life. and as such people with these classes are feared and hated. 

Now Rezar is spawned in a prison mine to serve a sentence of all eternity and all reincarnations as a slave. and all for a crime he doesn't remember commiting but knows that he did, now forced to live based on consequences from a life he also doesn't remember. but he tries to look at the bright side, there's much to achieve........the only downside would be the fear people have for him, after all.........who would want to shake hands with the Son Of Death.

A few days passed as Tatsuo starting to understand more of his newfound power. Experimenting in the training grounds gave him some insight into the powers he wields and the realms of the Gods. As a 16th Tier GodKing, Tatsuo is able to wield three Domains which will formulate his Realm of Divinity which is a necessary part of advancing to Supreme. Lesser Gods only have 1 Domain like Nyx the God of the Night who is a Peak Tier 14.

Tatsuo's Domains are Violence, Pride and Fire. The more powerful the God the broader the Domain becomes, for example, Violence could be something simple like a simple brawl or something more complex as a political coup, The raw act of physically hurting someone or the more complex emotion of unpleasantness, or raw destructive natural force. During the time period, this domain might be one of the Strongest.

Pride, As a Dragon the line between Pride and Hubris is a fine line as it is acceptable to have pride however hubris can lead to death. As two of Tatsuo's domains could be derived from emotion, the power of Faith is far more potent when a believer is experiencing these emotions.

In return for their Faith, Tatsuo can reward them however he feels fit, from small things like healing disability to large things like rebirth or resurrection as a Godking can alter the very laws of nature to bend to his or her views.

The day of the Annual skirmish approached as Tatsuo had his generals prepare his army, he also transmitted to the Re-Eztise Kingdom Ains Ool Gown's annexation of E-Rantel. Getting dressed into his Royal garments to have a gander at the battlefield he was approached by a Vampire.

"Esteemed Dragon King, Please pardon the intrusion but I would like to have a chat with Your Majesty."

"And to whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? As you can see i am a tad bit busy and it is quite rude to intrude on a Monarch even if you are a God."

The Vampire was not surprised the Dragon King could see through his strength as the rumors of his power have already spread far and wide. What he came here for today at the risk of death was an opportunity.

"Your Majesty, My name is Viktor Leshchenko, I am the Original Vampire, sire to all Vampires, Head of the Vampiric Pantheon a Tier 14 Lesser God."

Tatsuo buttoned up his shirt and proceeded to tie his tie not saying a word waiting for this Vampire to continue with his Story.
"Your Majesty, over the pass Eons the 3 Great Pantheons have starved us Lessor Pantheons of Faith and the opportunity to grow because we do not have the power to Fight back. I remember when the Last Dragon King was alive and like him we were just trying to ensure that our Kin and Subordinates were able to thrive. I have come here today to ask if your majesty will allow us to be under your protection."

"The Witches, Lycans, Vampires, and Demons were suppressed due to obvious reasons. Many of you are evil and kill the believers we need for faith, which in the long run makes things far more difficult. So give me a valid reason why I should allow you my protection."

"Your Majesty is a Godking far more powerful than I, which means you can modify the Vampire race as you choose, eliminating the less than desirable effects and creating something far more useful to His Majesty!"

As Viktor said this he dropped to his Knees as Tatsuo grabbed his Suit Jacket and placed his crown atop his head.

"Your Majesty must understand that sometimes individuals have no other choice than to become a Vampire. While a lot of the Time the negatives of being a Vampire outweigh the positives we would still rather go down this path than others."

Tatsuo looked at Viktor who placed his head on the ground in submission.

"The Vampires have their uses I suppose."

Placing his hand on the Vampires Head Tatsuo tapped into the depths of his soul.

"As we are a new Patheon I will not restrict you much, and I am also intrigued on what a Vampiric Dragon would be like."

Tatsuo looked at Viktor and then he thought about the trails to come.

"Joining me means that you too will have to face the judgment of the other 3 pantheons, I doubt that you care about that however it also means that if you betray me I will kill you and spread your ashes in the Astral Plane."

Viktor looked into the Eyes of the Dragon King and he remembered a saying "A Dragon must be feared as its words are its bond."

Lucas is a good son born in a poor family, hard work was the only way to move forward. He graduated from High school, Worked his way through College and graduated with a major in Physics and Communication. Walking to his uber to head to the airport Truck-kun embraces him.

Penelope was sure this time that the vampire world was not only heartless but also had stupid ideas of how to live. Keeping their ego and pride while hurting not only the slaves of theirs but also themselves due to the unrequited love they held in one's heart, she didn't understand why one would do it. 
Life of a human was a short one and though the vampires lived longer almost immortal in comparison to the humans whose life was numbered, a vampire should know when to uphold their pride and when to push away. 
At first, Penny had been furious at the sight at the other side of the street to see the vampiress hitting the slave in front of everyone where no one stopped the woman from lashing out on her slave, she took it that it was a common occurrence here. But after Damien said what the matter was, though she didn't know how he knew so much by just a glance at them, she felt nothing but pity. The pity wasn't just for the slave who was subjected to the humiliation but also the vampiress who was stupid. 
Her eyebrows still furrowed, she wondered why the vampires were like this. They were proud creatures but also stupid in her eyes now. Someone who didn't reason right and clung on to their pride and their status in society. 
Was this how every vampire and vampiress treated the slaves? Like they were objects and nothing more than that? It shouldn't have come as a surprise to her but Penny had somewhat hoped there was a little difference in the way the slaves were treated. But she should have known better. Once a value was placed on the head of the slave, there was no going back and their entire life which they had led up until then turned to nothing but blankness like it never existed. 
Her eyes slowly drifted from the front view which she hadn't been looking at clearly to look at the man who had bought her. Young master Damien Quinn as the household called him, the man wasn't anywhere near young. 
If he were a human, Penny would have vouched for his age to be around twenty-seven. Almost a decade older than her but he was a vampire and not a human. And with the little knowledge she had, vampires' age varied in a great difference when it came to humans. 
Damien as if he caught her gaze turned to her, giving her a look which was calm and quiet, "Don't think too much about it, you will hurt your head and lose your sanity," was this his way of telling that there was nothing they could do about it? 
As crazy as this man was with pulling the blanket away from her body and making her climb the tree where she almost hurt herself if he hadn't caught her in time, Master Damien hadn't subjected her to such ill and harsh treatment towards her. 
Was this normal? Questioned Penelope to herself as she continued to look at him before looking away after she realized she had stared at him for more time than necessary. 
She tried to understand him this time, trying to pick up his previous behavior with her own knowing how she had behaved with him. From where she stood she was right but was it the same when it came to the world she was put in? What if a few days ago Damien wasn't walking in the market? Penny asked herself the question. 
What if she was picked by another vampire or vampires? Would life still be the same? Not able to stop asking the questions to herself she wondered how life would be with another owner? 
Penny was desperate to escape from where her relatives had dropped and pushed her in. She wanted the freedom of what she was than bend and bow her head to people who in her opinion didn't deserve it. 
Walking further with Damien, she noticed a store she had seen before. She finally understood why the place felt familiar though she didn't remember why in the beginning. It was because she had seen the same store that was painted dark enough to catch her attention when Damien and she had first met. This place they had come to right after the market she had been sold yet which meant the black market was somewhere here. 
Her eyes moved left and right very carefully while her head was bent down slightly to not show disrespect to the other vampires. She wondered how many other poor souls were being sold in the black market right now. 
On the other side of the Isle Valley was a route that was darker and narrower that looked nothing less to a big cave of walls where the light was shed from the sky that was scarce. The path led to the place which many often went to but didn't speak out openly about. It was the black market, the same market where Penny had been subjected in front of everyone like a showpiece. And just like Penelope, many other men and girls were brought in today to be sold so that the slave establishment could thrive while also bringing a huge income to the people who ran it. 
The auctioneer who stood on the high platform where he held a girl who looked absolutely petrified and terrified, continued to cry with silent tears that streamed down her face. The auctioneer after what happened last week had a bandage tied around his hand due to the deep wound that had been caused by one of the high-class pureblooded vampires whom he couldn't defy. 
 With his good hand, the man named Frank spoke to the crowd, "A virgin like many we have, she has been untouched. Smooth skin which is unblemished with her gold like hair," he lifted her golden hair up before letting it go, "One of our most beautiful girls in the establishment worth every coin you pay," the auctioneer smiled looking at the crowd.
"Three hundred gold coins!" One of the men in the crowd shouted looking at the girl hungrily. 
"Three twenty gold coins!" another said.
The auctioneer who had his business-like smile on his face, gave a look of disapproval, "I am sure she will be worth your time. I assure you, she has been tested and her cries will send you straight to ecstasy!" he provoked the lustful men in the crowd. 
To make sure of it, the auctioneer pulled her clothes down where the girl only cried harder, "P-please, no!" she screamed which didn't sit well with the auctioneer. He pushed her forward as the slave girl who was about to be sold held on to the skimpy looking thin material of her dress which was already showcasing enough of her body. 
"Five hundred gold coins!" one man shouted which got everyone murmuring as they wondered if it was going to be a repeat of what took place the previous time in the black market where the highest bidder slave was sold. 
"Five hundred and ten!" 
"Five seventy!!"
"Six twenty-eight gold coins!"

"Who touched you?" he asked, his eyes brooding down at her and when she didn't answer, his voice thundered in the room, "WHO?"

The butler who stood near the wall spoke shakily, "Sir, it was Mr. Reverale," Damien's face turned sour, his jaw ticking in anger he turned his face to the side where the butler stood behind.

"Bring the man here."

"N-now?" stuttered the butler. It was the time of night.

Damien who hadn't broken his eye contact with the girl in front of him, pushed his hand against the wall which now rested beside his beautiful girl's head. Turning his body, he first looked at his butler who had his head bowed. With great courage, the butler came to meet his Master's eyes, "Do you have any other better time? Or should it be after I wring your neck?" Damien asked calmly tilting his head. Not a second later, the butler ran out of the room to return back with Mr. Reverale after twenty minutes.

"Damien, are we having a late tea party?" Mr. Reverale came to greet but the master of the house had other plans. Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out.

Just as Mr. Reverale went to exchange a handshake with him, Damien took hold of his hand to place it on the table. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain.

"No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings.

Meet Damien Quinn, a pureblooded vampire who is a complete narcissist, brash with his words and stingy even though he is rich who haggled when he bought a slave from the black market.

On the other hand, meet Penelope who believes she is a 'guest' for a few days at the Quinn as she is intent on escaping from the odd vampire who needs therapy.

"Hey, do you know how to dissect the animals? Wait, do you guys even have water here to clean them? No, what about plates and stuff?" The God of Freedom poked one vampire and one human that was lying on the ground. The only response he obtained from them were groans of pain.

He frowned. At this rate, the animals were going to go bad. His gifts were going to be spoiled! Mortals were weaker than he thought. He was not even using much of his strength to beat them up and they were already acting like they were about to die. He even used less strength when it came to the humans!

"What is your purpose for coming here, human?" The first vampire the God of Freedom backhanded asked. "We are not foolish enough to continue on fighting back against something we cannot defeat. You do not plan on killing us, but you refused to let us go." The vampire with black hair gestured to his fellow vampire companions and livestocks. The vampires no longer resisted the 'human' before them as they had been beaten thrice when they tried retaliating and escaping from the station. They could not keep regenerating their wounds; their energy would run low, and it would make them hunger for blood faster. The wiser decision was to stop.

The God of Freedom stopped poking the poor vampire and human, and turned his head towards the black-haired vampire. "For now, I want these people to eat, but I don't know how to cook. For a long-term goal, I want to build a community of vampires and humans here."

The vampire scoffed. "The humans are merely livestocks for us to consume. Why must we live on equal footing with our prey?" Although the vampire mocked the humans' inferiority, the human in front of him was a monster that could not be classified as a human.

"Because I said so," the God of Freedom immediately replied. "Besides, it is not like the blood of the sickly and malnourished humans is that delicious, right? That is why you guys are weaker compared to the other common vampires out there. For example, Sanguinem. Aren't the common vampires there stronger than all of you here?" He then tapped his head. "And here I thought vampires are smarter than humans because they have dulled emotions and are able to think more rationally."

The black-haired vampire gripped his sword, but did not lunge at the God of Freedom. He let out a breath to calm himself down; the fact that a mere human was affecting him this much was an embarrassment to the vampire-kind. And although he did not want to acknowledge it, he also knew that there was a sliver of truth in the human's words.

"So, do you know how to cook?" The God of Freedom never had the need to cook and the only time he had ever eaten any kind of food was when the God of Gluttony decided to share some of his collection with him. 

"I only feast on human blood. Why would I know how to cook?" The vampire cocked his head towards a group of humans. "You should ask the livestocks instead." 

"Aren't vampires originally humans?" The God of Freedom tilted his head, noticing the shocked looks on the humans' faces. "Oops, I forgot that normal people didn't know. My bad~"

All of six of the vampires' pride were hurt by that question; they did not want to be compared to the inferior livestocks. Alas, their actions were not dictated by emotions. They just bared their fangs and gritted their teeth upon hearing the human before them exposing their secret.

The humans turned towards the vampire, their faces a myriad of expressions. Most wore anger on their faces while a few had pity written all over their facial features. One human shouted, "How can you do this to us when all of you used to be humans too!"

The God of Freedom busied himself with his gifts, taking out his sword to try and cut up the animals. However, he paused here and there to watch the spectacle between the vampires and humans unfold.

"We are the predators, and you are the prey. It is as simple as that. What other reasons do we need aside from that?" One of the vampires laughed as they stood up from the floor, their companions following suit.

"Losing your humanity and acting like you are far superior than us... You should be ashamed!" The woman who was the first human to speak up earlier, raised her voice. In her hands, she held no weapons. However, perhaps because the God of Freedom was there, she had gained a streak of courage as she stood firm in front of the bloodthirsty vampires.

"The only thing us vampires should be ashamed of would be our past as humans. Unlike you livestocks, we are neither greedy nor do we seek out the forbidden. The world turned out the way it is because you couldn't keep your greedy hands to yourselves." The black-haired vampire growled, his fangs peeking out of his mouth in the dim level B3 of the station. "We provide you with protection, and you shall provide us with your blood. However, the ungrateful nature of humans is clearly manifested by you. Humans are never satisfied by what they have."

The woman recoiled from the sharp, accusing words of the vampire. Her mouth opened and closed, but she had nothing to retort back.

The God of Freedom used his sharp black sword to cut up the legs of the dead deer. Was this how dissecting them worked? While doing so, he kept his ears open for the delicious development of the two races.

"And you." The vampire his sword at the God of Freedom. "You wanted to build a community where vampires and humans can live in harmony? Do you not see that we can never set our differences aside? The only way for the world to be at peace is for the humans to be under the vampires' reign!"

"Hmm, I don't think so." The God of Freedom halted his actions of cutting up the animals and turned towards the groups of vampires and humans. "It is not like the vampires will be driven to extinction that easily for the humans, and the humans are not so weak to just succumbed under the vampires' rule, so why don't you guys just cooperate with each other and make lives easy for everyone?"

One of the vampires clenched his sword as he spat out, "Stop spouting drivel, human!"

"Vampire-san, you should reel in your ego and pride. By properly giving the humans you call livestocks living necessities, you will have access to better quality of blood," the God of Freedom reasoned. He addressed the humans next, "You guys should get along with the vampires as well. Unless you can defend yourselves from the Horsemen, you are bound to the vampires because you need their protection. The vampires give the humans proper shelter, and the humans give the vampires quality blood. This mutualism is fair, no? Both humans and vampires 'work' for food to feed themselves.

"You common vampires are strays because your sires had abandoned you. The humans are homeless because of the population regulations their own kind set upon the cities, depraving them from having entering a proper settlement. How long will all of you live like derelicts? This station is not even a proper home."

"Like you have said, we are mere common vampires who were thrown away by our sires! We already have our hands full dealing with the Horsemen so they don't kill the livestocks, and added with the Vampire Annihilation Unit breathing down our necks, how do you think we are going to procure food for these livestocks if we can't even have a moment of peace?" The black-haired vampire—also acting as the leader of the vampires there—lashed out, something uncommon for a vampire to do. 

"I'm... I'm sorry." Surprisingly, it was not the God of Freedom who spoke up, but the female human. "We...didn't realize, and were ungrateful." 

The other humans also muttered apologies and they sat down on the ground, no longer willing to argue about their rights with the vampires. After all, the vampires were their benefactors, even with all of the vampires' neglect of giving proper food and shelter to them. And, as much as they wanted to deny it, the fact was that, the government had abandoned them.

"Of course you didn't, being the ignorant sheeps that you are." The vampire did not want to admit it, but he still had emotions, and  the fact that the humans backed down and knowing their place, had placated a bit of his anger. "We are fine the way we are now," he asserted, his tone harsh.

"Mm, I don't think so~" The God of Freedom said in a sing-song manner. He continued, "The humans are barely holding on as they starve, and with each bite of their necks, they are destined to die. You will then need to search for new livestocks to replenish the dwindling supply of blood, but that presents a risk to your lives. The Japanese Imperial Demon Army will not tolerate your existence once they find out about this place, especially those from the Vampire Annihilation Unit."

"Are you threatening us?" The vampires readied their weapons, their red eyes glowed in the dark.

"Nuh-uh. I'm just stating the facts." A gentle smile made it to the God of Freedom's face as he spoke his next words, "With my help, both the vampire society and the Japanese Imperial Demon Army that had cast all of you away, will be nothing. I will help you build a strong community of your own, one that will not be dictated by those who discarded you away." 


The God of Freedom used his charms to strengthen his persuasion, affecting not just the humans, but even the vampires who considered nothing to be beautiful. Both the humans and vampires were entranced by the 'human' before them, compelling them to accept his words. He reached out his two hands to the vampires and humans as his silver eyes crinkled into a smile. "Shall we start a revolution?"

That day, because of the whims of the God of Freedom, the storyline had shifted far from its original course, with the future Vampire–Human War as the major deviation that would set everything off.

Basically, a god decided that he was bored and entered the world of anime.

The first world is Seraph of the End.

Don't expect too much because my username already explains everything: I'm freaking lazy and this story is just for fun.

Trisha came to look for me. When we reached the entrance of the campus Avika and Riya were already waiting. We had a joyous and stress-free day outside. As we had some delicious snacks and lovely desserts it felt bliss to us. Since we ate distasteful food for so long our tongues were robbed of the taste buds.
After trying out various outfits Riya and Avika selected a few. 

It was 5 in the evening when we came back. Sun has yet to set. After resting for a few minutes I turned to ask Avi about hitting the gym as we had lots of desserts today and didn't go in the morning. But as I approached her she was in a deep sleep. I tucked her in the light blanket and she snuggled to it with a content smile. 

Smiling I wore my activewear and sports shoes. As Avika wasn't with me I decided to run. Attaching my earphones I began to run. Music blasted in and my mood uplifted. There were many people in the garden. Players practising their games, girls chatting around, couples sitting quietly gazing the horizon or exchanging sweet promises while the sun was going to set. I decided to sit quietly in some place after running two laps.

After 15 minutes I completed my workout and sat in a good place to admire the sunset. Looking at the serenity of the scene I thought of a few words, not that good but apt for my mood and scene.

"Everyday when a day ends
It feels so relaxing to me
Every emotion blends
Sometimes merry sometimes gloomy
Sunset is beautiful
As it marks that the day is finally ending"

I sat there thinking nothing. Just staring at the sunset and breathing deeply. Sort of meditation. Sun sat at last. Sky still contained few hues before turning all dark. Breathing for the last few times, it was the time to get up. 

"Hey, are you okay?"

I jumped in surprise with a sudden sound. I noticed it was Avika. I thought that if it would be a movie it was the perfect time when Mr.President shows up. These coincidences often happen between the lead actors. Not that I was thinking we were the main leads.

"Yeah, just enjoying my quality time. You woke up sleepy head?" I said.

She sat beside me. 
"I was looking for you and assumed you would be working out as you are not a morning person, next possible place was the library." She said.

"You know there is a thing called a mobile phone, dummy." I laughed flashing my phone towards her.

"Tch, I know that. Just my phone ran out of battery after our outing and I slept soon after I came." She said making some faces.

"Come on let's go, it's getting darker." I stood up and pulled her up with me.

Next few days flew very fast. I continued to follow my schedule dutifully. In Psychology, we were taught so many things that fascinated me. The working of our mind is truly a miracle. Today was the day we had to present our papers at the Literary Club. After lunch, Trisha and I went together. Today I reached earlier.
I had seen Mr.President from afar a few times. He was present most of the time in the library as he said earlier. Idiot Sourav didn't disturb me any further as the librarian was always there. She talked happily with me each time I issued books. I had seen him playing basketball in mornings when I get a chance to work out. 

We had settled down and Trisha told me about Korean-dramas she had watched. I used to watch Korean-dramas and Chinese dramas. Here however I don't get time at all. We talked happily until everybody came in. As we were 14 members everybody read their papers. When Mr.President started I was happy that he liked the book. Every book has got it's the charm. It ended pretty well and everybody got a glimpse of other's capabilities. 

We got to know that the drama is set on the novel Pride and Prejudice. It was a beautiful romance novel by author Jane Austen. It was one of my favourite classic books. It was the story in which Elizabeth overcomes her prejudice and Mr.Darcy does his pride and then both surrenders themselves in love. I was very excited about it. Normally I heard colleges play Romeo and Juliet as a drama but this is really great. I do want to see the casts and hopefully, their actions would be top-notch. I want to see the characters brought to life. Many of us have read the novel here and was a squeal of delight when we heard about it.

As we discussed we were told to meet the Drama Club. Trisha and I walked towards the drama club as we wanted to meet Avika and Riya. While Avika was a dancer, Riya was a singer. They both aren't going to participate in the drama but will be there during the meeting just to see the preparations. 
When we reached we started talking and joking with each other. 

"Manya?" I heard someone call. I turned and saw Mr.President calling me over while he was talking to two people there.

"See she is the one I told you about." Is he serious? No, I don't want to act at all. Maybe I would like to do some work but no acting. I admit I had done some acting in my high school days but this was too much.

"Please excuse us for a moment," I said to them and dragged him away. 

"Did I tell you to recommend to me?" I said.

"No, but on Saturday I asked, you didn't deny either." He said with an expression that seemed annoying to me.

"Please tell them I'm not going to participate in the drama." 

"Why?"

"Because it's MY decision," I growled 

"Okay, don't get mad. I didn't say anything I just told them how nicely you have written your assignment paper. I told them that you could assist me in screenwriting. If you want to act that's another story." He said, totally cool. So that's what he was talking about. Screenwriting is the thing I would enjoy but still,

"But still, you should have told me before you were planning to do so," I said

"I'm sorry," he said so sincerely that I felt guilty.

"I want to apologize too as I was too rash," I said biting my lips.

"So are we cool?" He asked softly.

"Yeah. Well, is the post of screenwriter's assistant is still open?" 

"No, someone took it." He said

"Who?" I asked

"Some girl named Manya Verma." We laughed. 

"Do you agree?" He asked.

I contemplated for a moment. Screenwriting would be good, it's my favourite novel and I don't have to do most of the work what more a lazy soul like me desires?
"Yup, I agree," I said

We walked back together and he told them about him being the screenwriter and me being the assistant.
I wanted Avika to try out the auditions but she is in dance which requires a lot of time and energy. As this fest programme's responsibility was Drama Club's they are already divided into several groups and at last very fewer people were left in performing actual drama part. 

As the fest was approaching at the end of mid- August we had time in our hands. Even though the script has to be ready early. Mr.President and I decided to work in the library the next few days as we shortened the entire drama into 30 minutes. 

Today since he called me over I hadn't gotten a chance to talk to my friends. I followed him everywhere. A few minutes later everybody started departing. I got a message from Riya saying they are returning to their practice and Trisha is accompanying them. I sighed and maybe the person beside me mistook it for boredom or tiredness because he flashed me an apologetic smile. He then quickly wrapped up the conversation and led me to the cafeteria.

He told me to order whatever I like, but this was college cafeteria and not a very good place to order 'whatever I like'. Anyway, I didn't want to eat my regular sandwich so I ordered some french fries after asking him if he would help me finish it and a cup of coffee. He too ordered a coffee.

We sat in the same place as the other day.
While sitting he said.

"Next time it wouldn't be this cafeteria." I laughed at this.

"I don't know in which year you are studying," I said thinking carefully.

"You really didn't pay attention to the first day, did you?" He asked.

I was really embarrassed.
"Yeah, I didn't. After the library incident, I felt dejected for a long time and I bear grudges so I didn't pay attention." I said truthfully.

"Bearing grudges, I'll remember that." He chuckled.

"Will you tell me or not," I asked

"Let's do this again. Our introductions." He said and then continued.
"Hello, my name is Vihaan Kashyap and I'm a third-year student here. Hobbies are playing basketball, reading books and listening to music."

"I'm Manya Verma, nice to meet you. I'm a first-year student here. Hobbies are reading, dancing, painting, listening to music and watching movies and dramas." I said mimicking him.

"You paint and dance too?" He asked surprised. This surprise didn't offend me, rather I wanted to tell him more. 

"Yeah. I love cooking. Baking at that." I said.

"You cook too? Would this lowly creature someday would have the fortune to taste your cooking?" He said

"Yes, you could as you aren't any lowly creature but my esteemed senior. But I don't know how and when." I said.

I know he is just joking but my silly heart sped when he said he would like to taste my cooking. Our order had arrived he went to the counter to bring things over.

"Have you read Pride and Prejudice?" He asked.

"Yes," I nodded enthusiastically. Now things will get interesting as I'll get to write (or help in writing, whatever) dialogues of Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy.

A girl with a past she couldn't let go. Once cheerful and chirpy, she began to question her values, intention and even existence.

"God? Have you kept me here just to feel immense guilt each moment I breathe?" She asked, voice breaking and trembling in between her sobs as she tried to compose herself.

After suffering she regained her will to live but still didn't overcome completely. Will the arrival of her soulmate relieve her or will she lose this opportunity too?

The letter came Monday. It was a sealed white envelope with only his name and address on it. Margret caught the mail before she came to work. He'd been expecting the questions. It wasn't every day someone bothered to send him something. The last time it happened it was just junk mail advertising new cars on the market. 

He'd liked seeing his name on the card either way. It made him feel like he kinda mattered in the world. Made him feel like he was more than just a half vampire hiding away in his mom's house. 

That had happened before he'd come home. 

It had all started when he walked into history class. The last three hours stuck in the small building with shit heads had dragged on to the point he thought about gouging his eyes out. That would have probably given them something to talk about. It was easier when they were gossiping and not when they were openly staring at him. There wasn't much he could do about that. Their stares were everywhere, running along his skin, piercing through them as if he wasn't a being.

Like he was an animal only there to give them entertainment. 

He sat in the back of the class, picking the seat in the corner. By the time the second bell rang, he'd pulled out his textbook and was idly doodling in his notebook. The blank page stared back at him as if it too were waiting for the whispers to start. 

This was the reason why he didn't come to class. They didn't expect much from him anyway. They were more surprised to see him sitting in the back than they were when he didn't show up. 

Mr. Kale walked in, slamming the door behind him. He was a thin tall man with a wispy mustache that didn't do any good for his aging features. He couldn't have been older than Margret, yet he looked twice her age. His grim eyes looked around the room, taking in the kids still talking amongst themselves though it was evident he wasn't in the mood for rowdiness.

Ren had dealt with Mr. Kale before. Living in such a small town meant that elementary through high school was in the same building. It always meant that Mr. Kale was completely done with each and every one of these kids' attitudes. 

It would have been sweet revenge if Ren wasn't lumped along with the rest of them. And of course, besides the fact that he was half vampire only made Kale hate him more. Hate was a strong word. Dislike wasn't enough though. 

Kale cleared his throat. The sound immediately caught Ren's attention but he was already aware of the upcoming situation. The rise of the sound and then the hard look Kale sent the entirety of the room was left ignored by everyone except Ren. He was used to this as used to it as Kale was himself. Yet, the man was always seeking that respect he knew he was never going to get from his students.

Another reason Ren liked to deal with drunks and creeps than sit in a room of jerks. It was like they'd spent their entire lives perfecting the way they got under everyone's skin. Ren would have liked to say that he was numb to the things they could throw his way. Words might not have physically hurt as much as the beatings, but those same words made it seem as if it were Ren's fault in the first place. 

There would come a point in which the words started feeling like his own thoughts. Soon, he wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

"Quiet." Kale walked to the front of the board. The white contrasted against his pale red face. His eyes glared out at the kids who couldn't read the room.

The chatter rose.

"I said quiet!"

That caught their attention.

For only a second when the door opened.

Regan Masters might have been sent straight from hell to torture Ren. He was a pale dirty blond who wore torn jeans, work boots, and a camo jacket everywhere he went. When he wasn't smoking in the bathroom or slipping a drink from the bottle he kept in his almost empty backpack, he was starting trouble with anyone who would fight back. He wanted to rough any and everyone up. 

And he wanted them to try and rough him up in return.

Ren was an exception. Regan wanted to destroy him. He wanted to see Ren killed, burned, staked—it didn't matter. As long as Ren was dead and gone Regan would be more than happy about it.

Regan snapped the gum he was chewing. He leaned against the door frame, grinning as all eyes in the room fell on him.

Ren fought back the grimace rising to the surface. Regan was undoubtedly an attention whore. 

To cement what Ren already believed to be true, Regan waltzed in, swaying side to side. He took his time to the first row of seats, but before he could get any further, Kale called out to him.

"Mr. Masters. Take a seat."

Regan stopped. He blew a bubble and then snapped it out with his back molders. 

Kale didn't miss a beat. He picked up the trashcan and walked up behind Regan.

"Spit it out and take a seat." He tapped the side of the can to the desk in the front row.

Ren stabbed the tip of his pen into his notebook. The buzzing was coming back. The tension in the room called it to the surface. But the fight was done before it began. 

Kale turned away, give Regan the chance to flip him off. Ren slumped further in his seat as if he was somehow involved in the embarrassing scene. He tried to close it off, close all his senses from what was happening in front of him. It only helped to hone in on the snickers echoing in the room. He was only somewhat relieved they weren't aimed at him. 

Kale ignored them all, his shoulders rigid as he cleaned the whiteboard. He picked up the black erase marker and began to scribble things in haste. When he stepped back, Ren read the words.

He thought he was going to be sick.

Written in almost mocking capital letters was "HUMAN AND VAMPIRE WAR".

The room fell into a hush. Of course, that was when they decided to act like civilized people. Always when Ren wanted them to get rowdy and to take his mind off all the dark thoughts going through his head. This was exactly the time for them to make stupid jokes and make him feel like he really wasn't there.

No. Instead, this had to happen. Every year they talked about this dumb war that had happened long ago and it was like they were doing it so they had a reason to stare and gawk at him. 

It's the same as it is every year. Since middle school, they'd gone deeper into the death, bloody details, and the rise of the new country. They glossed over the fact that there was an ongoing political battle with Sangui over who rightfully owned this land. Reginae would rather pretend that they were safe with their victory. 

That there weren't vampires close by the border that would be happy to start another war over some fucking dirt and grass.

These parts, where Kale gets a little too excited about how thousands of vampires were staked and burned alive by the Hunter Society, Ren tuned them out. He didn't need to take notes. He'd memorized enough of this shit to write his own goddamn book.

But it was a tradition that no one was complaining about. As he glanced around his classroom now, he saw how invested these kids were in the history of their ancestors. Victory was nothing to be ashamed of, not even if it meant that there were innocents lost to get to that victory. He couldn't say that it was exactly their fault. The government had omitted so many things, shut out polarizing facts, that it was hard to put together the full story.

And that was why Ren didn't care about changing their minds about vampires or informing them how Reginae had slaughtered vampire children because of prejudice.

It was hard to feel sympathy for someone when their main food source was you.

"In 1824, a man by the name Joseph Mantel led the vampire forces into the country once known as the United States. Can anyone tell me what this battle was?"

Ren almost snapped the tip of his pen he was pressing so hard into the page. It felt like the room was closing in on him. 

Everyone knew the name Mantel. It was a stain on this small town he vaguely called home. Everyone was raised with that name drilled into their heads. Ren knew it was tied to hate and disgust. Joseph Mantel represented all the bad things that existed in vampires. He killed with no mercy, drank the blood of innocent, and he was seeking to enslave humans.

He'd failed in the end. The war hadn't lasted more than a decade before the Vampire Society became bigger than the army they were up against. Whatever humans vampires could get their hands on were already taking drugs that polluted their bloodstream.

Six years after the first battle, vampires were either killed or sold for entertainment. It wasn't unheard of vampire zoos. It was a craze that had dwindled only in the last thirty years.

Now they showed vampires in circuses and traveling freak shows.

Kale walked toward the front row. His eyes slowly scanned the room. Ren kept his eyes lowered, praying over and over in his head Kale would leave him alone. 

This was why he skipped all the time. Was there anything he needed to learn from these people? He would be far away from this town and all these useless facts would be a distant memory.

But the teasing and humiliation was going to follow him. He already knew that the jabs, ridicule, and hate he had to deal with when he stepped into town was the only thing he carried home with him. 

He imagined being back home. His mom would come home from Reginae Medical Research and Hospice, dead on her feet, but a smile stretched across her face. They'd cook together, talk about their days as if either of them had fully enjoyed it, and then they would talk about what they were going to do when they got the money.

A new house, a new town, and a new life.

That was all they were working for. When they got it, that was when they could start living.

They never talked about the war and they never mentioned Mantel.

Kale tapped the end of the marker on Regan's desk. Regan feigned obliviousness, flicking at the invisible lent on his jacket. 

"It was the battle of Judgement." Kale gave up, moving back to the safety of his desk. "Mantel and his men forced their way through the American border, slaughtering thousands. When he was finally captured, he was burned at the stake."

The class rustled.

Ren could feel his heartbeat in his throat. He had to fight to swallow. An ache formed at the pit of his stomach and along came the buzzing once more. 

As much as he liked to believe he could be a better person than what everyone thought he was, he was afraid that it wouldn't be long before the buzzing became bloodlust.

And from there, he would be the monster they were all afraid of him turning out to be.

Ren Cornelli, an 18-year-old vampire-human hybrid, never had it good. Being the socially outcast black "halfy" that he was, he understood where he belonged and never once broke from the mold he'd been born in. But after he's called to the forest by an unknown force, his life is turned for the worst when he discovers a dead body and a vampire. Nothing is what it seems and the more he learns about the murder and the vampire the more he's pulled into a vicious plot to start the second Human and Vampire War.
