The grandfather clocks chime danced throughout the halls and entered my new bedroom with a graceful vibrant sound that announced that it was now  eight o'clock at night. My stomach churned and growled at the stillness in the air seeming to agree with the chiming. I held onto my stomach as my stomach became riddled with cramps. I haven't been able to keep any food down for the past few days but my stomach still announced that it wanted food. 
I sighed and climbed onto the hardwood floor and pressed my head against the wall. It has been hours since I've heard the music like sounds from my young daughter on the other side of this wall. I closed my eyes and pressed my pale hands onto the cold floor focusing on the coolness seep into my fingers, up my arms and down my body. 
My eyes fluttered open, I looked over to the closet that held my clothing and an idea came to me. I climbed up off the floor and walked to the closet, I sifted through the articles of clothing and found the perfect one, it was a dress made with a thicker blue material. I pulled it off of its designated hanger and pressed it against my body while I swung around in gleeful circles. I smiled to myself as I wound the dress around my hand tightly so my fist was nice and snug inside. I grabbed an extra dress off of another hanger and hung it over my arm.
I approached the bathroom door and swung it open and approached the green sink. I looked at my smiling face in the mirror, the wound on my cheek was almost completely healed, it wouldn't leave a scar which made me happy. I took the dress that was hanging over my arm and used it to completely cover the mirror, my unfamiliar reflection now hiding from me like it does every time. 
When I see myself I see an innocent and young ten year old with vibrant onyx coloured hair and eyes who would play on her swing set before her foster mother Grace would call her to dinner. She's a little girl who was growing too old her for childhood toys but secretly snuck them up to her room so she could be immersed in a fairy tale land that only she could control. 
That girl died the night a bag was placed over her head and she was forced to give into what her fate would become. 
Anger filled my body, rising into my throat and making it hard to swallow. I wanted to cry and scream but I couldn't, I'd rather be alone then get punished for making a sound. I bit down on my bottom lip holding my rage inside, I drew my bundled up fist back behind my head, clenched tight to the fabric that held my fist safely within its grasp and threw my fist at the covered mirror with all of the strength that I could muster. I heard and felt the glass shatter all at the same time, the noise echoed in the bathroom which made my stomach sink. 
Did he hear that?

The mall building was like the ones that I've been to before in Palisia with the main differences being the layout, furnishing, and store selections. Well, come to think of it, isn't that the main point? Since the day's objective is for me to buy clothing for my female body, Erith led us over to the escalators that took us up towards the upper floors of the mall.

"We're going to the third floor and starting from there," Erith said as she gazed at the monitor on her phone that displayed the map of the mall that she had acquired upon scanning a QR code at the entrance. She then pressed the lock button on her phone, causing the screen to dim and fade, and slipped it into her school bag.

"You come here often?" Noah asked her, looking up at her on the escalators as he leaned against the moving handrail.

"Yeah," Erith responded.

"Erith and I would come here to buy clothes," Luna said with a smile on her face. "This place has a pretty good selection of clothing."

"You think they also have some nice looking men's clothes?" Zaksus asked. "I'm looking to buy a new jacket."

"Winter's almost over," Noah said, looking in the opposite direction as before and down the escalator at Zaksus who was standing on the step underneath him.

"It'll still take a few weeks," Zaksus responded. "I can still wear it next year."

"What about a possible growth spurt?" Loyd asked. "You thought about that?"

"I mean I still need to have something to wear, right? It's not like I'm looking to buy one that's worth tens of thousands of Vil," Zaksus responded.

Amidst this banter between the others, I looked nervously up the escalators and at the second floor that was becoming closer and closer to us. In my mind, there was a growing sense of anxiety as I am still unprepared for shopping for women's clothing. In theory, it shouldn't be that bad cause how different can it be from shopping for men's clothing? But what I am worried about is the more trivial things, things such as the most recent fashion and how to wear certain types of clothing. Wearing a skirt is somewhat self-explanatory. All I have to do is bring it up my legs and zip the zippers up on the side. But what about other types of clothing? Clothing like a tube top or other types of strapless clothing. How do I wear those? And then there's the makeup section. What are those things even called and what are all those color selections for lipsticks?

After stepping foot on the second floor, I followed close after the others as Erith led us to the other escalator that led us to the third floor, which is the floor that Erith suggested that we begin on. After arriving on the third floor, I could see why. There were four different wings of this floor that branched out in a plus sign shape, and in each wing, there were women's clothing stores, accessories, and other miscellaneous women's product like that. It would appear that this floor's main demographic is women.

"This is all girl's stuff," Zaksus whined upon approaching a clothing rack that was lined with casual dresses.

"You can still try it on," Noah snickered as he picked up the hanger and observed the clothing item that was on it. "This one looks pretty good." Noah then pressed the hanger up against Zaksus such that the dress was against Zaksus's body.

"Hell no," Zaksus pushed the hanger away.

"I'm just kidding," Noah laughed as he replaced the hanger back on the rack.

"Hey cut it out," Loyd whispered as he looked over at the store attendant that was walking over from the corner of his eye.

"How may I help you?" the young store attendant asked with a pleasant smile on her face.

"We're just looking around," Luna responded and rejected the store attendant's offer for help politely.

"Why'd you reject her?" Noah asked.

"You don't understand," Erith looked over her shoulder while holding a sweater in her hands. "Having store attendants recommend clothing hinders your own creativity."

"I don't understand," Zaksus whispered to Noah.

I don't either, I thought as I wept in my mind.

"Alvelyn," I felt a gentle tug on my sleeve and looking over, I saw that it was Irina. "Let's look around and pick out something for you."

"R-right," I nodded and allowed Irina to gently pull me away from the entrance of the store that we had entered.

Walking through the rows of clothing racks, shelves filled with clothing, and white mannequins standing and posing in fashionable looking raiments, I became even more confused about the whole scenario. There were winter clothing being sold, but there were also spring clothing on display, which, I suppose, is to accommodate the fact that the spring season will be soon upon us. However, this added selection made things even more difficult for me as I am unsure about some clothing about whether they are for winter time or spring time.

"How about this one?" Irina asked me as she put on a black wool coat.

"It looks pretty good," I answered honestly.

"Alvelyn, you try it on," Irina smiled enthusiastically as she stripped herself of the wool coat she had tried on and skipped over to me, helping me to put on the coat.

"A-alright," I stuttered somewhat as I stretched out my arms behind me so she could slip on the sleeves.

"Irina," Muria's calming voice halted Irina's actions. "Alvelyn can put on clothes herself. You're rushing her."

"Right," Irina laughed in an apologetic manner and took a step back after allowing me to grab hold of the coat.

"It's not your fault," I smiled and said in response while trying on the winter coat. "It's a size too big..." I said as I looked down at the somewhat loosely hanging coat.

"Sorry," Irina apologized. "It fitted me so I thought it would also fit Alvelyn."

"You are a few centimeters taller than her," Muria observed.

"I'll go look for a size that'll fit you." Irina then went off to where she had retrieved the wool long coat in search of a smaller size that would fit my frame.

"Hey," Loyd's voice called over, gathering our attention. "We'll be on the fifth floor to look at men's clothing."

"Okay," Irina smiled and acknowledged them.

As the others went on choosing and selecting clothing items they preferred and would like to try on, I stood there and gazed over at the escalators, watching as the boys slowly ascended up to the higher floors where they would probably soon engage in a similar activity of picking out and trying on clothing. In my heart, there were mixed feelings. I was glad that they were no longer in the mix, but then this leaves me with the rest of the girls, meaning that the conversation from now on would be girl's talk, something that boys have never have the chance to take part in. So before, when I thought that shopping for women's clothing is unknown territory, where I am now is an unknown world when compared to the previous one.

I quickly looked around the store and the floor in general. The demographics in sight were mostly female, with the occasional male that is accompanying either their lovers or family members while shopping. Therefore, my fear for a girl's talk is increasing in likelihood to become true as there is mostly just girl's present at the moment. However, I'm hoping that having to pick out clothing would prevent it from occurring.

"Hey," Luna gently tapped my shoulder. "See anything you like so far?"

"Not as of now," I responded.

"I'm sure you'll find something." When she speaks, Luna seemed to be shuffling her feet somewhat, almost as if she was nervous or unsure of what to say.

"Um...is something the matter?" I asked her, intrigued and confused at the same time by her odd behavior.

"N-nothing," she tensed up and quickly shook her head. However, based off of her facial expression alone, I could tell that something was on her mind. But, whether she wanted to tell me or not, that is her choice to make and not something that I want to force onto her.

"Is that so?"

I began to turn away from her, doing so in a slow, controlled motion to give her plenty of time to backtrack on her decision if she wanted to. Upon seeing this gesture on my end, a look of regret appeared on her face as she seemed to self-consciously reach out her hands towards me, almost as if trying to stop me. However, she restrained herself, pausing those hands in midair before they truly made contact with me and slowly allowed them to fall to her sides.

"So um..." she began speaking. "How is Alevian recently?"

"Alevian?"

I was surprised when I heard my name being muttered by her and was thus unprepared for a response. At that instant, my brain immediately started brainstorming, trying to build and flesh out a false story with the information that I am given.

"He's doing fine," I answered her in the most simple way as possible, hoping that it would kill the conversation then and there and that I would not have to use the fake story that I had come up with.

"So...when would he be back?" Luna seemed to blush somewhat when she spoke.

"My guess is in a month?" I answered her. "He is visiting relatives... "

Wait a minute, I thought. Even though no one has called me except Loriana, what would happen if someone were to call "Alevian's" phone number? Would anyone pick up?

"Is something wrong?" I frowned in a concerned manner. "Is there something you would like for me to tell Alevian?"

"N-no," she sighed. "It's...well...just forget about it."

Then, she turned away and returned to Erith's side where Erith enticed her to try on some clothing in the story.

Weird, I frowned. What was it that she wanted?

My train of thought was interrupted when I felt something being brushed against my side. Looking over, I saw Irina's big smile. When I looked down, I saw that she had picked out an outfit for me already.

"Let's go to the fitting room and try it on," she said with a smile on her face.

Fitting room?

I'm just me. An ordinary high school boy with no girlfriend, not too many friends, and no talent.  What I enjoy doing after school is roaming around the halls, hoping that like in the cliche anime and manga, I'll bump into someone that'll change my life. Of course, nothing is going to happen. What do you expect? 

But, this APP on my phone is kind of weird. I don't remember installing it. If I click on it, it asks me to complete missions. But how the hell am I supposed to do these embarrassing tasks?


Update Schedule:
I will post new chapters usually once a day, but that is subjected to change depending on my schedule as I am a student in my final year of high school. During breaks, I will usually post multiple chapters per day.

Since the day that Prince Ling had came, he had kept himself in contact with the couple. He would send them letters about the current situation and let them know how the Crown Prince was fairing. Another 6 months passed, making it at least 2 years since they had left.

Xiao Jun, in the midst of practicing her sword, was interrupted by a knock at the door. She put the sword away under the wooden steps and then wiped her sweat. She grabbed a bucket of vegetables and went to open the door.

At the door was a messenger in a commoners dress up and he handed her a package that was bundled up like how herbs were packaged. "Mrs. Daiyu, here are the herbs you requested. I hope they are of satisfaction to you and that you use them well." 

Xiao Jun smiled and thanked him, closing the door as he left after taking the package. Setting the bucket down, she went inside and opened it up, seeing a rolled up note buried within the pieces of dried medicine. 

The note simply said: Prepare the ghosts.

Xiao Jun smiled lightly and then burned the note in the candle. 

Everyday, information was brought to the Emperor about the Crown Prince's misdeeds, causing him to become more infuriated and he favored Prince Ling more, calling him into his chambers and gifting him titles and commands. 

With the new power in his hands, Prince Ling kept it quietly and never used it unless when needed.

From behind, Xiao Jun felt arms snake around her waist and a chin rest on her shoulder, laughing lightly, she brought her hands to rest over the others. "Prince Ling has sent message over, telling us to be prepare the ghosts." 

Yun Long simply nodded, "Let me hug you for longer. It's been a while since I held you like this." 

Turning around, Xiao Jun was about to bring her lips onto his when there was a knock at the door. She heard the huff of annoyance from Yun Long before putting on her mask while he put on his. Opening the gate doors, it was someone from Prince Ling's side that had brought them two sets of black clothing wrapped in paper.

The servant handed them a letter and then turned, leaving and disappearing into the crowd. As soon as the door was shut, Yun Long pulled her back inside, capturing her lips in a kiss as he took the package of clothing and put it on the table. 

For a while, they kissed, until Xiao Jun pulled away and her face was flushed. "No more, you're becoming so shameless." she laughed. Yun Long pressed their foreheads together and chuckled, "It's thanks to my wife for teaching me how to be so shameless." 

That night, they dressed into the black clothing, wearing a black veil as well. Carrying a dagger around her waist along with a sword, Yun Long simply had a sword with him. 

Escaping in the dark of the night, the two made their way to the palace, where they entered through a secret passageway with the help of Prince Ling and they entered the Crown Prince's bed chamber. 

In his bed, the Crown Prince slept, his face pale and health declining. Xiao Jun stood next to his bed and covered his mouth with a cloth, the Crown Prince woke up and his eyes widened in alarm, he let out a muffled yell but quieted down as soon as she pressed a dagger to his neck. "I suggest you should keep quiet or else my hand could slip and oops, you'll be gone." she said, a bit of mirth in her voice. 

Yun Long walked with his hands behind his back, sword hidden. "Crown Prince... don't you remember the death of General Huo Yun Long and his wife, Princess Feng Xiao Jun?" 

In the dark of the night, the moonlight shined in and landed right on the Crown Prince's face, showing the look of panic and horror on his face. "W-What do you want? Money? Jewels? I-I have it all.." he stuttered, backing up a bit, whimpering as the blade pressed into his neck. 

"Your Highness, we have no need for any of those." Yun Long chuckled, he pulled out his sword, the light reflecting off the engraving of his family name. "Does his highness find this sword fairly familiar? I'm sure you do, as you were the person who killed the one welding this sword." 

The Crown Prince shook in fear, he didn't see the faces, but he felt the heavy aura around the two bodies. Feeling a bit of leeway from the dagger, he climbed onto his knees and pleaded, no longer his arrogant self. "S-spare m-me!" 

Xiao Jun laughed and her feminine laughter startled the Crown Prince even more, the two were a man and woman pair?! More so, this laughter sounded similar to another woman's voice. 

"Spare you? This is just our final warning. Remember, your highness, you have vengeful spirits after you." Xiao Jun said, she sheathed the dagger and turning her back on him, slipped out of the room with Yun Long. They only came to scare him, not kill him. 

They wanted the Crown Prince to live in fear until he slowly grew crazy and paranoid.

My high heels slapped the sidewalk below as I exited the mall. My red tight dress hugged my curves all in the right places. It reached mid-calf, and had long silts along both legs. My hair was left open with a small bun at the top as I wore a choker. A short fur jacket on the top of my dress. A small purse in my hand as I held shopping bags full of brand name clothing and makeup. Gucci black shades covered my eyes as the sun shined. My bling glittering along with them. 

To others I must look like some rich bitch who was having fun when in reality.

The fucking heels were hurting the soles of my feet. I caught myself from falling ten times in the five minutes. As a result my ankles were twisted beyond repair. As the dress clubs to my chest I felt like if I stopped holding in my stomach in the dress was going to rip down the front. I was sweating under my weave of a hair. The choker lived up to its name as it choked the fuck out of me. To top that all of these Gucci shades were making me almost hit poles and people from how big they were. Frankly I was exhausted but I just need to be patient. I heaved as I breathed laboriously in front of the Kim Technologies building. In my hand was a box of chocolates to give the mother fucker Willie. 

I chuckled as I thought of stuffing them down his throat as he beefed me to spare him. I would just laugh at him as I kept putting chocolates in until he chokes to death. 

Bwahaha! 

I smiled as I thought of the confusion in his face as I move in and out of moods. One second I will act loving while the next I will play hard to get. With this method I will have this mother fucker wrapped around my finger very soon.

I cleared my throat as I walked into the building. I quickly raised the dress so that my breasts don't fall out for the world to witness. The three familiar receptionists smiled as they bowed to me.

"Welcome Miss Kim."

I sighed.

"Don't call me Miss Kim. And by the way what did I tell you three lady time about random people who can fake my identity?"

The woman on the right smiled as she said.

"Mr. Kim said that if a woman came in wearing very slutty clothes, and complains to when we call her Miss Kim, then it's Miss Jackson."

I sighed. That son of a bitch knows me way too much. 

"Ma'am do you need us to guide you up the elevator?"

I shook my head and waved my hand dismissively. 

"I can manage. By the way before I go, I got you guys these sweet puffs from the bakery next door."

The three womens' eyes widened simultaneously as they thanked me and took the box of sweets. I smiled. 

Adorable. I loved them even if they worked for that fucker. I waved to them before entering the elevator. I looked up to see a handsome young man standing in the elevator. He was smoking a cigarette. The elevator door closed in front of me as I moved to the other corner of the elevator. I leaned over and pressed the three. I looked to see a "no smoking" sign on the elevator door in large letters. My eyes slid over to look at the man who was smoking. His brown hair and gray eyes made him look like quite the hottie. I sighed as the elevator stopped on the third floor. As I was about to leave the man pulled me back in. I cried out as the elevator door closed. The man hugged me closer to him. 

Anger filled me. Fuck! I am not about to get assaulted in a fucking company elevator. 

"You are quite pretty my dear. Why don't you accompany me to my office for a slice of heaven?"

I cringed as the man's hand touched my ass. Lord that pickup line was older than my grandmother who's cursing my slutty clothing from up in heaven. 

The button of 16 was pressed on the elevator. I have to spend another thirteen floors with this fucker? No hell no. I turned to face him. I then pressed my body to his. The man's cheeks flushed as his cigarette fell. I then leaned in and stood on my tip toes. I closed my eyes. The man chuckled as he did the same and puckered his lips. As quick as lightning I bent over and took the cigarette. I then pressed the cigarette to the man's lips. The man's eyes widened as he screamed in pain and fell to the ground. I ran over and pressed the fifth floor quickly. 

"You bitch!"

The man's lips were now blackened from the burn as they bled. I smirked and put my high heel on his head. 

"Scum like you deserve to be burned as you will in hell. Be lucky that I didn't kill your ass."

The door opened. I turned to see Willie Kim and a group of ten business men standing behind him. Willie looked at the scene and smirked. 

"That's my woman."

I flushed. Of all the things this motherfucker had to see.

"ARGH!!!" Dominic yelled flinching from the pain that came from alcohol being placed on the large stab wound on his arm. He shut his eyes even tighter as the medic continued to rub the alcohol against his wound, yelling out yelps of pain when the stings got too hard to take in.
The smell of antibiotics filled the air, filling his lungs with every deep breath he took. He held a pillow tightly in his hand, gripping it tightly when the urge to scream even louder or even cry overwhelmed him. His wound throbbed harder as the medic pressed the alcohol-dipped clothing into his stab wound and he gripped the pillow harder.
Knock Knock 
Dominic's squinted eyes skirted to the door of the tent before he called out weakly, "come in."
"Does it hurt that much?" Litian asked. 
Dominic groaned again and looked at Litian, forcing out a thin laugh, "would you like to switch with me then?"
Litian flinched from his question, her eyes slowly drifting to the alcohol and the cloth being pressed against Dominic's skin. She backed away instinctively, "no… I'm good."
Dominic smirked, "I thought so."
Litian, now a safe distance from the medic, scoffed and folded her arms, "I was just saying… this is the third time you are getting a wound cleaned and dressed, plus you still have multiple more to go. Shouldn't you have gotten used to the pain by now?"
Dominic trembled from the pain and glared at Litian, his view blurred and unfocused from the pain and teardrops forming at the edges of his eyes, "once again… would you like to switch with me?" he asked, his smile more threatening than comforting, "afterall, some of these wounds were caused by me trying to save you from those brutes."
Litian paused for a moment, realizing her fault but now wanting to admit to them. "Still…"
Dominic rolled his eyes, turning to the medic and exchanging glances with each other. "I didn't know your majesty was familiar with his soldiers," the medic grinned, revealing pearly-whites on his olive skin.
"Of course Doc," Dominic smiled, his jaw clenching slightly as he still tried to manage the pain from the cleaning of his wounds, "A future king always has to be on a good basis with all of the people who will assist him to the throne. For me, forming bonds is easier than getting through one of your treatments."
The medic, Axel Lewis, smiled, pressing the clothing deeper into Dominic's skin, "ah...is it now?"
Dominic trembled, his mind buzzing from the intense pain, "I-it seems I was wrong," Dominic forced out, his voice wavering.
"Of course," Axel chuckled, pulling the cloth out of his wound.
Dominic gasps as the pressure lets up and nearly passes out, the relief sending a cold shiver down his spine.
Litian backed further away from the medic, the hairs on the back of her head standing up slightly. Axel was known to be one of the best young men in his field in the palace and his presence was well praised, but he was also famously known for his short-temper and using his connections to get rid of people who got on his bad side. Even more remembered for his unusual preferences for partners as he shamelessly jumped back and forth between genders. 
Axel grabbed the bandages from his cart beside the bed that he treated Dominic on, "hold still. This might hurt."
"It's been hurting this entir- AHH!!" Dominic roared, his entire body shaking as Axel tightly wrapped the bandage around his cut. "S-stop..Please.." he pleaded.

As he said so, Ling Xiao evilly nudged You XiaoMo. It was intentional this time, that the swollen rod slipped directly between his cheeks. You XiaoMo froze in place; that feeling was hard to use words to describe.

You XiaoMo was inwardly sweating. After preparing himself mentally, he forced himself to lower his head and copied the way Ling Xiao kissed him to kiss Ling Xiao. Ling Xiao turned his head to look behind the screen, calmly saying, "Come out, your owner is looking for you."

You XiaoMo looked over curiously.

After a moment, the round demon beast egg jumped out with a thud. It's movements were slow, as if it was highly reluctant.

You XiaoMo opened his mouth a little. Even this unhatched demon beast egg was afraid of Ling Xiao. It seemed like strength really was the law here, but when he thought of what the egg had done in his personal dimension, his teeth ached with rage.

Thinking of that, he gritted his teeth and said to Ling Xiao, "Throw him into your dimension."

Ling Xiao asked, "Are you sure?"

Though his dimension was large, there was nothing in it.

You XiaoMo rolled his eyes, saying, "I'm very sure. If I put him into my dimension, he might absorb the rest of the spiritual water in the lake."

According to the fifth volume of the "Codes and Precepts for Worshipping the Dao in Accordance with the Scriptures of the Three Caverns" from the Northern and Southern dynasties, there were clearly different kinds of clothing for different kinds of Daoists. The book stated: "Clothes are a representation of one's bearing. That is what gives an impression before one's teachings. One has to be dressed in accordance with one's level of insight."
It was from that moment that it was possible to make a guess about Daoists based on what they wore.

There were accomplished monks of a monastery who might seclude themselves, ignoring the outside world, or ascetic monks. There were also monks that involved themselves with the world. These monks were unable to sever their ties with the mortal world, and apart from not eating meat and drinking alcohol in the monastery, they were no different from an ordinary person once they were out the monastery doors. For example, secular monks.
And the purpose of the existence of these people was firstly to provide food and clothing for the monastery, and secondly, it was to let monks understand people better. By interacting with the mortal world, they could gain new wisdom.

Ye Ling's gaze fell. His amber eyes were frighteningly bright.
"Master… " Shen Qianshu only felt a gush of hot air rushing up to her head. He had not reacted yet, and she turned around to run. Ye Ling suddenly caught hold of her wrist and embraced her in his arms. He pressed her onto the door of the cabinet in the cloakroom, lowered his head, and kissed her lips.
