I ONLY WRITE SHORT STORIES: THEREFORE EACH CHAPTER WILL BE A DIFFERENT STORY WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE. EACH TITLE WILL BE A NEW STORY. A STORY WITH MORE THEN ONE CHAPTER WILL HAVE NUMBERS IN PARENTHESIS AFTER THE TITLE.

There is no specific update day - I update when I wanna. Each story may/may not have a plot.

Milia deleted her instagram account[1] after her break-up with Stephen and made a new one. Well, it sounds silly but that way Milia deleted all the chats and contacts, pictures and memories. All the posts[2] of her with Stephen and the stories[3] of their meeting up and many things Milia thought was romantic but in reality it wasn't. Milia opened a new instagram account and added her friends and acquaintances. 

Author: Oh! Yeah.. this 'online-modern-day-love' is inspired from the budding love stories in the time of pandemic. Author has no intention to hurt or disrespect anyone's feelings, religion, work, or anything. Any resemblance to the actual event is a mere coincidence because it is all of the author's imagination. 

Milia put up a decent yet a tempting profile picture. She was wearing an Indian plain blue saree, with a black netted blouse. Her back towards the camera and her hands to the sides as if she were turning and her shoulder length wavy hair flying in the air making a semi-circle which indicates that the picture is a candid one. The saree accentuated her features. The slightly deep cut blouse revealed her fair porcelain skin and her slim hands stood out as she wore a black coloured fitness band which looked slightly bigger on her small wrist. (author: rolling her eyes.. 'a fitness band over a saree? Like seriously..?')

Milia got many follow requests[4], she accepted the ones she knew. After a week or two, Justin sent her a follow request. Milia saw the notification on her phone and wondered whether to accept it or not. Milia knew in bits about Justin from Ira. (I have explained the complex relations in chapter4) After some time Milia accepted his request and then requested to follow back. Justin instantly accepted her request. For a few days, no one texted each other, but one night. 

Justin's story had information regarding some news which could create panic and Milia cross-checked the information on the internet which showed that it's a false alarm. Milia can't stand any such thing that creates panic especially when all students are getting anxiety and stress because of covid-19 [5]. Milia replies to his story saying 'this is fake news and it's creating panic amongst students.' After sometime when Justin came online and saw the message from Milia. Usually he ignores messages that are not from his friends but this message piqued his interest. 'So there's actually a girl who boldly texts strangers.' he thought and replied to her "I am sorry. My intention wasn't that but as you said it'd create panic and so I deleted it. Thanks for pointing it out." Milia saw this and smiled, she thought 'he knows he's wrong so he apologised. Seems like a nice guy.' "it's alright :)" she replied.

And from here my dear readers the story will move on. The previous chapters which seemed to have no link in between will now connect. Milia and Justin are now gonna chat and find each other very similar. Milia who is grieving over her break-up and trying to move-on will text him and talk to him about his views on life, love and responsibility. Justin who's already not a believer in love will text Milia and ask her if she believes in a 'second chance' in life and love. They both believe in vibes and get good vibes from each other. Milia is too quick to catch when Justin gets nervous and Justin is stunned to know that this stranger whom he has never met but heard off can see through people so easily. They both get attracted to each other but they both won't take the conversation beyond a casual and a healthy flirting. Some heart-fluttering moments, some moments of surprise, some moments of awkwardness and some moments of closeness. Is this texting going to turn into a 'modern day love story with an old school heart?' or.. Will they go to their separate paths? Time will decide about that. And if you readers think, how can they text a stranger so casually, this is where the catch is. Milia and Justin are Ira's best friends. Ira speaks of Milia to Justin and about Justin to Milia. Even though they haven't spoken to each other, they know about each other. And the comment section on Ira's instagram is filled with comments of these two people who comment all good and worse things on Ira's posts. They're seeing the constant friendship the opposite one has with Ira and thus they feel an unknown thread of trust tying them together in this conversation. Milia's straightforward, bold and a shameless personality in contrast to Justin's shy, nervous and immature and innocent personality is going to make a fun yet a very heart-warming conversation.

The chapter today is short because I am cooped up with my studies. Previously it was announced that my exams might get cancelled but now it's announced saying that the university will be conducting exams and so, very unfortunately I won't be able to write everyday even though I want to. But I'll give as many updates as I can. I hope you support me and my book. Your author is a college student. And this is my fourth semester in college. I'll try and give you all as many updates as I can. That's a promise. I hope you'll understand my side.

And for the other days, I have decided to post super-short stories for you to read, instead of waiting days for me to update the story. I will post the short stories before or at 4 pm. If I don't post on Tuesday or Friday, You will get 2-3 short stories per day I do not post. This schedule will start next week, on Sunday.🐼

Today there was no sun, no happiness, no laughter to fill the hallways with joy, no smiles to brighten the day. Every thing had changed before our eyes. We came into school today as teachers, students, the new generation who were supposed to lead the world into the future. Now I don't think that's possible anymore, our lives have just changed and I'm not sure it's for the greater good.  We walked in today as young adults and now. Now we are survivors, but the war has not ended. We've barely scratched the surface, not even making a dent. No, our war has not ended like in the history books we've read. Our war has just begun, and it's only a matter of time before it gets harder and harder. We have to stick together, if we want to grow and to be better than before. If we want to survive.

I'm actually a little doubtful there are people still here now... I mean, there's only two Original Works I even want to work on: Those being this and An Adventure Beyond Greatness! ...Though I feel kinda unmotivated when I'm writing by myself and there's no one to talk to. Life's empty these days...

There are times I'm motivated by 'Hey, there might be a comment the next time I post' and then I just wait for it, feel satisfied once I see it, then go write the next chapter because I feel some worth in spending my time writing a story for readers.

I've also tried working on a Gaiaverse RP Amino that has three works as it's foundation (Battlefield Restart, An Adventure Beyond Greatness, and An Identity Beyond Self, that are basically three different variants of Isekai) but don't have any experience in Role-Playing so I don't know how to write the Guidelines. I already made plans to write a fictional universe like the Gaiaverse but there's too little things I am able to do for it right now...

A lot of IRL stuff have been weighing down on my mind recently. I'm not sure if I should be following the trends online to grab readers or just do as I want... Ah, I'm jealous of those who do as they want and don't question it like the characters I create. And also feeling inferior to actual authors...

Anyway, I find myself a better critic rather than writing my own works thanks to my very nitpicking nature acting up whenever I see a good story that only needs some improvements. There are those who I've seen give 'feedback' on stories online but why do I feel they miss the point of being a critic?

I've went around A LOT of websites that have to do with writing and in the end, I found there was one big example of what I mean on closer than I thought Discord. There was a chapter that ticked all my boxes and made me interested as a reader on top of it about its plot but in the end of the day all I saw was a 'feedback' telling this good writer that they 'made a mistake by not explaining the core conflicts and character's personality in-depth'.

This critique really made my head turn as I couldn't understand how they missed the point of the chapter as well as how 'not giving information that isn't needed right now' adds an air of mystique.

I mean, there's a difference between 'narrating' for your audience and 'telling them the details'. The former layers a story with emotions while the latter only make them this 'yep, this is happening now'.

After all, investment doesn't come from knowing the overall situation but the characters who draw intrigue. Question like: 'What are this man's intentions?' And 'Does this person actually mean what they say?' Are what adds subtext that shows that the writer is trusting their reader connect the dots that aren't outright stated in the story.

Of course, there's a difference between holding back information because you yourself don't have the answers and doing it because you have a plan for later. Even Professional Authors like the J.R.R Martin name drop organisations and places before going in-depth once they become relevant later.

What my point is that as long as you have a plan for later, it isn't NECESSARY to give all the information at once. If you summarise the story in the first chapter alone, what will you have for later?

It's like how badly the Cautious Hero Anime could have become if it only repeated its main gimmick without any flare later on (though if your story is based off nothing more than a gimmick then you should keep it as a short story rather than lengthening it for no reason). Instead it actually had a lot more elements that was explored later on.

My reason for going on and on about this is because I feel that there are too many with their critics aiming towards what they want to see later because it's interesting rather than if the written draft is good right now.

I know this sounds similar to what I wrote that time I quite this story which was basically 'I got harassed by people not knowing how to criticise a story properly' but I feel like it's still relevant now.

And you might want to tune in since a plot twist you kinda saw coming but didn't expect to happen will come up in the next few chapters.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

So,I thought I'd give everyone an update as to what will be happening from now until probably May. Of course everyone is aware by now of the COVID virus and everything and how school is basically a disaster at the moment.

For me,my college classes and all messed up as are my high school courses. And the work they gave us temporarily is just..yikes.

And I was thinking of putting this book on hold but then I was like nah. So instead of doing that I'm just gonna post short stories every once in a while until my grandmother gets better and until this whole virus thing disappears. Of course the short stories won't match with the book. Same characters but I may do reverse stuff.

My grandmother was the one who said she wanted to read my book but with reverse genders and I'm like what? Now I'm terrified of her reading this book so I'm gonna make another book just for random short stories. Also,the stories will have small hints and teasers as to what will come in the chapters ahead. 

Some chapters won't make full sense and that's because one of my friends wants to try writting some stories. So if they seem..weird or whatever it's his fault. I will also apologize in advance for him.

After I post this announcement I will upload the last chapter,for the time being, of this book. I will make the short story book as soon as I finish this. I won't post a story until like the 3rd chapter and that's just cause this idiot wants to start it off so.. sigh.

Also,what the hell is this update? What's with this female/male leading stuff? I can't even make another LGBTQ story unless the lead is a chick. I'm not saying anything is wrong with that but isn't that just misleading? I do mainly male versions not female versions. I can't even choose teen as a category.
