　　华海良是魅族的一名高级工程师，也是魅族科技的营销总监，同时也是魅族MStore的负责人。这位年轻的帅小伙从魅族还在做MP3、MP4等媒体播放器的时候就已经加盟了魅族，后来魅族跨行做手机，M8的策划、研发到上市，他都陪着魅族一路走过来。他对魅族的感情，自然可以说是深厚无比。
　　MStore迟迟无法推出，华海良的心里，也焦急万分。因为M8的操作系统——M－Mobile是在WindowsCE6.0内核下完全独立研发的，这样的一个操作系统，软件可以说是几乎等于零。
　　因为是全新的操作系统，在M8上市的初期，最大的尴尬就是，一部智能手机，居然没有什么软件可用。M8的屏幕分辨率是720×480，而传统的手机都是320×240，在这样的前提下，也迫使魅族必须得加强软件和第三方程序的开发应用。
　　所以魅族在手机上市初的时候，就启动了第三方软件开发的计划。也就是成立专项小组，去做魅族的应用程序商店——MStore。
　　但是尴尬的是，大多数用户，竟然完全不愿意为软件付费。程序员也是要吃饭的，除了一些人经济条件宽裕，又或是兴趣使然，会开发一些免费的软件供用户使用之外。像一些大公司，或是优秀的第三方团队，根本就不可能白白花费精力，来研发一款得不到回报的软件。这样一来，还有谁会愿意为M8开发优秀的软件？
　　直到今天，M8上面的大大小小软件已经有数百款之多，大多都是民间高手，和一些支持国产手机与对M8有兴趣的团队开发的。但是真正优秀的软件，却是少之又少。
　　不过今天华海良刚走进办公室，他手下的一位工程师就急急忙忙地迎上来，说道：“华哥，你终于来了，快过来，我给你看点东西。”
　　这位工程师也是负责MStore项目的其中一员，名字叫周平，平时工作的时候一向都是处变不惊的，很少会露出这样的神色来。华海良不禁奇怪地问道：“小周，怎么啦？”
　　把华海良拉到一台电脑前，小周打开了桌面上的一个游戏图标，然后对华海良道：“华哥，这个游戏你知道的吧？”
　　华海良一看电脑屏幕，就没好气地道：“当然知道啊，这不是《植物大战僵尸》吗？”这游戏他都打通关了，这小周拉他来看这个干什么？
　　他不但是这款游戏的玩家，而且对这款游戏的开发背景也非常熟悉。这款塔防游戏，是由世界第一的休闲游戏公司PopcapGames为Windows、MacOS及IPhoneOS系统开发，今年5月才发售。短短半年时间，就风靡了全世界。

　　华海良接过来一看，果然，正式版的游戏内容更加丰富，而且和《植物大战僵尸》一样，还有很多其他的模式可以玩。
　　“这游戏是谁开发的？有作者的联系方式吗？收费价格是多少？”华海良身为MStore的负责人，当然知道这款软件对M8，对魅族来说意味着什么。
　　小周苦笑了一下道：“这个游戏是一个ID叫做‘我心飞扬2009’的用户昨天下午的时候在我们论坛发布的，联系方法帐号里并没有填写，至于价格，这位作者的定价是2元。”
　　“论坛上其他用户的反应怎么样？”华海良有些担忧地道。经常关注论坛的他，当然知道，对于这种敢对软件进行收费的作者，下场会是怎么样的。被人问候祖宗十八代都是轻的。
　　不过小周的反应却是大大出乎他的预料。他一脸兴奋地道：“这次和以前完全不一样！这次用户对这款游戏的普遍反响都非常良好，除了少数人在叫骂以外，论坛上超过百分之九十的人，都是支持这个游戏的。我查过那位作者在淘宝那边的的交易量，仅仅是昨天下午到今天凌晨六点之前，就已经超过了一万。那位作者的淘宝号，直接让我们这边大量的信誉冲成了皇冠。淘宝那边，以刷信誉为理由，将那位作者的帐号封掉了。”
　　“淘宝的人脑残了么？”华海良顿时皱起眉头，叫骂了一声，然后才又问道：“那现在还能买吗？”
　　小周摇摇头道：“因为要在淘宝那边购买之后，才能收到这款游戏正式版的一个KEY文件，所以淘宝那边封了之后，用户就买不到了。我们论坛这边，所有的人都在骂淘宝呢，还有好多激动的魅友，直接跑到淘宝那边的论坛去开骂了。”
　　华海良疑道：“真的有那么多人支持这个收费游戏？”按照以前那些收费软件作者的下场来看，他真的有点不敢相信，用户会为这款游戏买单。

" belum mba" jawab Alaska dibarengi oleh tawa yang tertahan. Sesungguhnya Alaska sedikit merasa risih dengan jenis pertanyaan seperti itu. Ditambah lagi jika orang asing yang  bertanya sebab biasnya satu jenis pertanyaan semacam itu akan menjalar kepertanyaan lainnya. Seperti saat ini 

" ah masa mba? Mbanya lo polwan pasti banyak cowok-cowok yang ngantri"

" ah.. enggak juga mba." jawab Alaska datar. " mba sudah menikah?" Tanya Alaska untuk merubah subyek pembicaraan dari diri nya menjadi mba ojek online tersebut.

Alaska merasa bersalah karna telah menanyakan pertanyaan tersebut. Karena tidak tahu harus berkata apa, akhirnya Alaska memilih diam. Ketika kendaraan yang mereka tumpangi berbelok kedalam komplek perumahan Alaska, wanita itu mengatakan sesuatu yang begitu menyentuh.

"Itulah hidup mba. Kita tidak pernah tahu apa yang akan terjadi besok, lusa atau dimasa yang akan datang. Akan tetapi saya tidak pernah menyesal menikahi suami saya, mba. Meskipun hidup kami tidak mudah. Setidaknya kami dulu menikah karena saling mencintai. Tidak ada alasan yang lebih kuat yang dapat membuat kita berrtahan dalam situasi apapun selain cinta, mba."

Cristan mendecakkan lidahnya sambil tersenyum simpul.

Belum menyerah juga ini bocah, pikirnya. 

"Ada apa?" tanya Arissa yang baru saja selesai mandi. Uap hangat masih keluar dari tubuhnya dan mengeluarkan aroma segar dari sabun mandi yang digunakannya. Pipinya kemerahan akibat efek air hangat yang digunakannya saat mandi barusan. Mata biru cerahnya tampak kontras dan cantik sekali dengan warna kulitnya yang seputih giok. 

"Tidak apa-apa…" kata Cristan sambil merengkuh Arissa ke dalam pelukannya dan mencium puncak kepala gadis tersebut. 

"Kau cantik sekali, Sayang…." bisiknya lembut di telinga Arissa yang langsung tersipu malu saat mendengar pujian tersebut. 

"Jacob baru saja menghubungiku…." kata Cristan lagi.

"Oh??" 

Mata Arissa seketika membulat saat mendengar nama Jacob disebut. 

"Apa kabarnya dia? Dia kirim salam atau bagaimana…?" cecar Arissa tak sabar sambil berusaha mengambil ponsel Cristan.

"Tidak…"

"Ia mengirimiku sebuah tantangan baru. Ini…. kau baca saja sendiri…" kata Cristan sambil memberikan ponselnya kepada Arissa. Secepat kilat, mata Arissa membaca pesan singkat yang dikirimkan oleh Jacob kepada Cristan.

Pengumuman singkat tersebut otomatis membuat sebuat sebuah kegemparan besar di dalam komunitas Cybertooth Online. Pasalnya, Cybertooth Online merupakan salah satu komunitas online terbesar yang memiliki jumlah anggota ratusan ribu di seluruh dunia dengan spesifikasi latar belakang yang beragam. Mulai dari para mahasiswa, karyawan kantoran, dan bahkan para pelaku professional di bidang gaming dan program computer termasuk para hacker "dunia bawah tanah". Tidak ada satupun anggota yang saling mengenal satu sama lain karena semuanya menggunakan nama samaran dan avatar yang berbeda-beda. Satu-satunya penghubung bagi semua anggota tersebut adalah sang pendiri Cybertooth Online sendiri yang dikenal sangat misterius. Ia dikenal dengan nama samaran The First Hand. Tapi saat ini, akun The First Hand sendiri tidak aktif. Yang bertugas sebagai CEO dalam Cybertooth Online sendiri saat ini adalah Jacob Nova dengan nama alias White Shadow. 

Dengan adanya pertandingan ini, maka bisa dipastikan kalau pertandingan ini akan menjadi ajang temu muka perdana bagi para anggota komunitas secara langsung setelah sekian lama mereka berkomunikasi secara virtual di dunia maya.

Jacob tersenyum senang. Setelah ia mengirim undangan secara terbuka kepada semua anggota komunitas, dalam waktu 1 x 24 jam, inboxnya diserbu dengan permintaan dari berbagai permohonan para anggota komunitas yang berdiam di lokasi terdekat untuk bisa menghadiri acara pertandingan tersebut secara offline. Sementara sisanya dilakukan secara online. Jacob hanya tinggal mengirim link –nya saja. 

"Ok….." kata Jacob sambil membuat list data peserta sambil dibantu oleh tim administrasinya. Dennis, Vega, Julius, dan Laud. Mereka bertiga sudah lama bekerjasama dengan Jacob dan sekaligus menjadi administrator bagi semua proyek online yang ditawarkan atau dikerjakan oleh Jacob and the team di dalam Cybertooth Online. Setiap bulannya, mereka bisa mengerjakan sekitar 6 – 10 proyek acak dengan nilai pembayaran yang berbeda-beda. Sayangnya, karena Jacob masih di bawah umur dan terikat dengan protocol birokrasi sekolah asrama yang sedang dijalaninya sekarang, maka semua pembayaran masuk di dalam rekening Arissa Nova yang nantinya begitu Jacob menginjak usia 17 tahun, rekening tersebut langsung dipindah tangan menjadi namanya.           

Sementara ini, Jacob harus mati-matian berhemat dengan uang saku yang diberikan oleh pihak sekolah dan menunggu selama 6 bulan lagi sampai ia lulus dari Sekolah Asrama Montoya.   

Setelah selesai mendata, total ada 5000 orang penonton yang akan bisa hadir untuk memenuhi undangan offline sebagai penonton on the spot. Sisanya, untuk pertandingan pada hari H nanti, Jacob memberikan ijin kepada sekitar 30 online media seperti Xflix, IndoCable, dll untuk dapat menyiarkan acara pertandingan coding tersebut secara streaming online..

Gudang Utara sendiri adalah sebuah istilah untuk area bekas markas militer angkatan darat yang sudah tidak terpakai lagi. Dengan area seluas 2 hektar dan sebuah gedung hangar, Jacob dan tim sudah membeli seluruh tempat ini sebagai markas besar Cybertooth Online untuk mereka bisa berkumpul dan mengerjakan proyek bersama-sama kapanpun Jacob bisa. Pembeliannya sendiri dilakukan di bawah nama Arissa Nova dan sama seperti rekening bayangannya, kepemilikan Gudang Utara dan semua asetnya akan langsung berpindah ke tangan Jacob ketika ia sudah berusia 17 tahun. 

Saat ini sudah ada 3 buah layar LED raksasa yang terpampang di dalam hangar. Dibarengi dengan kursi stadium bertingkat untuk para penonton offline dan 2 perangkat computer PC di bawah masing-masing layar yang terletak di sebelah kiri dan kanan. 

Dennis, Vega, Julius dan Laud sudah bekerja keras semalaman untuk memastikan kalau acara ini pasti akan sukses serta mengecek semua perlengkapan computer PC agar tidak terjadi gangguan teknis sepanjang acara pertandingan berlangsung. 

Para vendor dari media online pun sudah berdatangan dan mereka mulai bersiap dengan cara mencari posisi terbaik untuk menyiarkan pertandingan ini. 
Jacob mengamati semua persiapan dengan wajah puas. Mulutnya bergumam sendiri.

"Burung yang bisa berlari, belum tentu bisa terbang. Betul juga… mari kita lihat seberapa hebat kau dalam coding, Cristan…."

"Semuanya sudah siap?" 

Nat tiba-tiba berbisik di sebelah telinga Jacob sehingga membuat pemuda tersebut terperanjat kaget sambil memegangi dadanya. 

"Kau.. kau… kapan datang??" tanya Jacob dengan tatapan shock. Ia sama sekali tidak mendengar langkah kaki gadis ini sebelumnya!!

"Oh… baru saja. Haha…" kata Nat santai. 

"Jadi… pertandingannya mulai jam berapa?" tanya Nat lagi.

"Jam 10.00. Dua jam lagi." balas Jacob sambil melihat jam tangannya. 

"Ok, aku duduk saja di kursi penonton ya?" kata Nat yang bersiap-siap untuk pergi tapi segera ditahan oleh Jacob.

"Eits….tidak bisa! Kau duduk denganku. Sekaligus sebagai saksi kalau aku akan memenangkan pertandingan ini di depan matamu!" 

Nat menghela nafas dengan pasrah, " Baiklah…."

Sebuah mobil sport Ferrari merah memasuki kawasan parker yang segera dibuka oleh para petugas keamanan harian yang memang sudah disewa oleh Jacob untuk acara ini. 

Cristan dan Arissa lalu turun dari mobil dan berjalan memasuki area hangar yang sudah dipenuhi oleh hiruk pikuk penonton serta sound system yang berdentum-dentum keras dari dalam. 
Begitu mereka berdua sudah sampai di dalam, mata Cristan langsung melotot lebar saat melihat 3 buah layar LED raksasa yang terpampang dengan sangat besar di dalam gedung. Seluruh kursi bertingkat sudah dipenuhi oleh penonton yang langsung berteriak histeris saat melihat kedatangan mereka berdua..

MC pun tak kalah bersemangat sambil menunjuk layar besar yang mempertontonkan tulisan 

"PERTANDINGAN CODING TERBESAR ABAD INI!!! WHITE SHADOW MENANTANG CRISTAN LEVY!!!!"

Di bawah layar raksasa di bagian tengah, Jacob sudah berdiri dengan sikap pongah dan senyum mengejek. Kedua tangannya dilipat di dada.

Arissa berpikir kalau ia baru saja membuat sebuah kesalahan besar dengan menandatangani kontrak tinggal setahun dengan seorang maniak seks. Teman satu kontrakannya, Cristan dengan santainya selalu membawa wanita yang berbeda setiap malam untuk menjadi penghangat tempat tidurnya dan Arissa harus menahan derita untuk selalu menyumbat telinganya yang memerah akibat desahan dan erangan erotis yang harus ia dengar setiap malam.

Hey, that's an idea. I don't have to be too guilty if what I'll discuss with my class is about time management and prioritizing what is more important, which is their study. They kept whispering about other stuff but since I already have an idea of what I will discuss I stopped listening.

The day of our homeroom class.

Usually, I use this time to let my students watch short videos about different topics then at the end of the video I let them discuss what they watched. There are also times where I prepare games to let the students have some physical activity once in a while. So when I entered the room, everyone is so hyped up and is eager to know what their activity will be for today.

I searched for a video in the internet showing how playing online games in an excessive period of time affects the life of the players and the people around them. I specifically searched for a video which did not suggest stopping players on playing their games.

"Alright, everybody take your seat. I have here a video which I want you to watch carefully." I looked around as the students prep themselves on their seats ready to start with the video. "After this, just like before, we will have an open discussion of your thoughts about what you will watch. Are you ready?"

"Yes Teacher!"

"Ok, here it is." Then I clicked the play button.

"Can i have my sibling join our guild?"
"Is your sibling a girl?"
"How old is she?"
"Is she cute?"
"Can I woo her?"
"Should I start calling you brother in law now?"
"Can you send me her picture?"
"..." Seriously, these people are nuts. 
"My sibling is a she-man. He likes to pretend as a girl."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"There's no problem letting your bro... I mean sister join."
"Thanks Cap! You're the best! I'll invite him now."
A few minutes later...
'Fairy Amelie has joined the guild.'
"Thanks for accepting me here."
"Welcome bro!"
"Nice to meet you bro!"
"..." Did they just call me bro? What the heck?
"I'm a she, actually."
"Yeah yeah, we understand. Let's have fun playing together!"
"..." They don't believe me?
