It's five past six when we arrive at our destination. 
Entering the huge black gate with six armed men who opened the gate for us, I thought I would finally be able to see the mega-mansion that Rian had stated earlier...but to my dismay, huge and tall trees came first to my eyes. 
The guards said that we still have to drive at least two minutes to get to the venue, which I remembered that Rian also said earlier that it was in the middle of 100, 000 square meters. Whoa! That's too big! Her friend is truly rich... well, based on her story and of course on the evidence flaunting around us. 
The sun had finally set and the darkness spread around the area if not for the lights flickering on the branches of trees that can be seen on the side of the road. Different types of flowering plants have also added color to the green surroundings which makes it magnificent to my naked eyes. 
But my attention caught by the specific flower in different colors which also happened to be my favorite... tulips. I opened the window and a smile spread on my lips as their scents filled my nostrils. 
I closed my eyes and imagined myself walking on that road every morning to pick one of those flowers, pink, white, yellow, orange and of course, purple and stuck it on my ear... or maybe cut many of them to bring them to 'our' room. 
A few moments later... 
"We're here, Sis."
"Huh?" My eyes snapped open when I felt a light tap on my arm. 
"We're here." She repeats and then Ben opened the side of my door. 
The first thing I noticed when I stepped out was the number of cars... mostly expensive cars parked in a wide-open space in front of us, second was the huge fountain in the middle with dancing lights around it...in purple? Hmm...now I believe that her friend's fiancee really loves purple too. 
"Wow..." I breathe in awe and containing my mouth from opening, but not anymore when we pass the fountain area as all the lights turned off and when they returned, I couldn't help the loud gasp that escaped through my lips. A contemporary architectural mega-mansion appeared right in front of my eyes. 
"Whoa!" I have to blink twice...thrice... (until I lost count) ... just to make sure I ain't dreaming. 
"This mansion measures 80'000 square meter - not to mention the extra 20, 000 square meters of outdoor decks, pool patios and established gardens... so all in all, it measures 100'000 square meter." Rian explained having a broad smile on her lips. 
She has already explained to me how big is the mansion is while we were on our way here, but it still seems new to my ears. 
"Hmm. Do you think the owners of this mansion can able to see each other every day? I mean... this is so freaking big for the two of them, forgodsake!"
She laughed at my reaction. 
"Don't worry, Sis, my brother has his own ways of finding you in every corner of this house." She winked at me, but that only brought confusion on my already confused state. 
"What do you mean with your brother has his own ways of finding me? It's as if you're saying this house is his?" I asked, my eyes weren't moving away from the huge structure built a few meters away from us and I mentally chuckled at the silly idea that came to my head. Maybe because I still have a slight envy of her friend's fiancee. 
"Oh! What I mean is that when he, my brother buys you a house like this." She shrugged. 
I sighed. Honestly, I don't really care if he buys me a villa, a huge mansion or a very small apartment as long as we're together. Because for me, marriage and relationships are not based on how big or small their home is, it is how they treat, respect and love each other. 
Tsk.tsk.tsk. I shake my head. I promised tonight to enjoy this party and leave all my problems for tomorrow or when he comes back.

"Rian, are sure this is the venue of your friend's engagement party?" I asked her when we reached the main door.
Doubt started to fill me as I don't see any guests or a sign of having a party except the luxurious cars parked outside. 
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"Uhmm... I don't hear music coming from inside."
She gave me a wide smile. 
"Because it's a soundproof door, Sis."
"Oh, I see. That didn't come to my mind. Tsk.tsk... how silly of me." I said blowing a heavy breath. 
"You looked tense, Sophia Yzabelle Kelley. Are you okay?"
"Of course, I am!"
"Hmm...okay, but may I remind you this party isn't yours."
"I know and I didn't say that!"
Her chuckles rang in my ears. I don't know where she got that idea. 
"Are you ready?"
I glanced at her and nodded... with a silent question on the back of my head. 'Why the hell wouldn't I be ready? This party isn't mine.'
When the large double wooden door opened, soft music came to my ears, but I almost choked on the blinding smoke that hit our face. 
"What the hell!" I mumbled which caused Rian to laugh at me. 
Forgodsake! Why do they need to put such a smoke effect like this? As if this is a halloween party instead of a surprise engagement party... duh! 
When we get past the freaking smoke effect, I freeze on my spot. 
Paparazzi. 
Flashes of cameras from every corner strike us. I thought the fake smoke was what would blind me, but I was wrong as the flashes coming from everywhere now making me blind and I don't know where to look first, so I grabbed Rian's arm. 
"Sis, relax and don't worry because they were highly paid for taking pictures but not for having an interview with any of the guests."
"Really? Is that even possible? I mean, they were media personnel and it's their job to scope an article especially in----"
"Come on, don't mind them. Just wear your smile and let's enjoy this party, okay?"
"Alright." I sighed. Do I have a choice? 
Looking ahead of me, I almost felt dizzy. Well, it's not because of the number of guests gathering inside... which I already expected... but how huge and luxurious the living room was. I'm sure everything in this living room is expensive... from the furniture to the silver decorations that made it interesting by adding tidbits of purple, lighting fixtures and a large painting hanging on the left side of the room in which it added glam to the space. 
But I couldn't help frowning as I noticed that every piece of decoration I saw was quite familiar. The furniture, the large sputnik chandelier and the painting. I simply glanced back on it. 
Who would have thought that the owner of this mansion also loved abstract paintings? 
I am about to open my mouth when I felt Rian's hand tug on my arm. But she just smiled at me when I looked at her.

Saffron Morrigan blew a handful of rose petals from his palm, then watched as they scattered into the wind and spiraled down to the arena below. 

He and Bruce stood atop one of the many hyperneon light fixtures around the perimeter of the Belmarcian Tournament complex, high above the huge stadium where the final rounds were scheduled to take place.

"In that case, why don't you just go kill yourself?" Bruce muttered as he scanned the horizon. The sun was finally beginning to set. 

"Some claim life a nightmare, and wouldst do well t'off themselves!" Saffron continued, spiraling around on the skinny light fixture. "For others, 'tis an illustrious dreamscape, a cacophony of wondrous events and excitements!"

"'zat so?" Bruce grunted.

"Forsooth, we must live suicidally," Saffron exclaimed. "For every moment doth herald the end."

"Well, you'll get that chance tomorrow, I guarantee it," Bruce retorted. "You remember what you're supposed to do, right?"

"Naturally." Saffron grinned at Bruce. "Fight a valiant fight! Soar to the summit!"

"Well, sure, but..." Bruce rubbed his forehead. "Do you remember who you're supposed to look out for?"

Saffron nodded. "My anticipation hast ne'er been greater."

"Good," Bruce said, watching Saffron carefully. "Then we're all set for tomorrow, right? No more questions."

"None hath I." Then, Saffron looked over Bruce's shoulder. "And thee, Averyl?"

"What?!" Bruce swerved around. 

The top of the lighting fixture was only wide enough for two. But sure enough, Averyl stared up at the Tiger with a wry grin. Clad in plain black strapless boots, his legs intertwined in the metal wiring that ran around the lighting fixtures. The 12th Zodiac hung from them like a true monkey, showing no signs of fatigue. 

"You!" Bruce screamed below. "Bout damn time you showed up! I was beginning to think you got killed or something."

Averyl smirked. "I appreciate you worrying about me...but I assure you that I am in fine condition."

"Who said anything about worrying? It was wishful thinking."

Averyl narrowed his eyes. "My mistake, then..." 

"Well?" Bruce asked. "Where the hell have you been? That wasn't a rhetorical question! I didn't even see you last night, when we were chasing the Daughter...a job you should have finished off a long time ago!"

"Ah, about that..." Averyl raised a finger to his lips. "Yes...it seems that I lost track of them. Good thing you found them for me..."

"Either way, we decided to back off. Didn’t want to ruin our plans for the tournament."

"Smart...I see Roufas was with you..."

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Bruce roared.

Saffron cleared his throat. "Averyl, do teach us of thy whereabouts. We recall thy search for the Daughter with mirth, so steeped in jest it doth be."

"If you say so..." Averyl began. "You see, I forgot our room number...actually, now that I think about it, no one ever told me...but I was content to sleep in the streets for a week or so...it was particularly amusing when I was attacked by men in an alleyway. They screamed so much..."

"So you're telling us..." Bruce's forehead pulsated. "That you slept in the streets for over a week, and you didn't think to contact any of us? Not even once?"

"I didn't want to distract anyone from their preparations for the tournament..." Averyl continued. "Because it seems like certain people get so angry when I’m around..."

"You think I'm angry?!" As Bruce screamed, flames leapt from his nostrils. "Wait until I gut you like a fish, then you'll know I'm angry!"

Averyl swung gracefully upward, completing a 180-degree arc and landing on the edge of the light fixture, centimeters away from Bruce's steaming face. "Is that a threat...Mr. Tiger?"

"Yeah..." Bruce hissed, closing his enormous fist around Averyl's thin neck. "It's a threat."

Averyl let a choked laugh escape his lips as his throat was semi-crushed by Bruce's death grip. As he calmly watched the two struggle, Saffron moved to the opposite end of the fixture. The thin æsotech beams that were supporting the lights rumbled beneath their fluctuating auras. It wouldn't hold for long.

Bruce watched the violet streams emitting from Averyl's body with curious eyes. "Just what are you hiding from us, you son of a bitch?"

Averyl merely grinned with his large black eyes.

Suddenly, Saffron pulled a phone out from his armor and answered it. "Yes, Rabbit?"

"Dog?" Roufas's voice echoed. "Are you there? The Tiger isn't answering. Are you with him?"

"I am indeed," Saffron replied. "How may we be of service?"

"Everyone's planning to meet back at the hotel in about ten minutes," Roufas explained. "Except for the Ox, who's gone missing, everyone else should be present. Thanks to the hard work of the Rat, the Dragon is finally back in working condition."

"My thanks to the good doctor," Saffron said. 

"As you may know, our dear Rat is the only one capable of handling the kind of surgery the Dragon requires. Now, please put the Tiger on."

"Why of course." Saffron casually tossed the phone in Bruce's direction.

Bruce dropped Averyl, swerved and caught the device between his thumb and forefinger. As Averyl plummeted, he materialized hooks from his feet, which snagged onto the wiring halfway down from the top of the fixture.

"'sup?" Bruce spoke into the phone, as he wiped a massive amount of sweat from his brow.

"Why weren't you answering your phone, Tiger?" Roufas asked. "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing I can't take care of," Bruce sighed. "I'll be over right away." With that, Bruce tossed the phone back to Saffron. "You heard him. Get your ass in gear!"

Bruce took a flying leap off the building, and Saffron followed suit. Averyl glided along after them, falling at a slower speed with the aid of materialized wings. Eventually, the three landed on the asphalt alley behind the complex grounds, neutralizing the impact with their power. 

As they alighted, Grayson Lee also came down to join them, seemingly out of nowhere.

"Grayson!" Bruce shouted with surprised eyes. "You were surveying the complex too? I didn’t even notice you..."

"Yes," Grayson replied calmly. "I’m eager for the tournament to begin..." As the four began to walk off, his eyes drifted over to the Monkey. "It’ll allow us to wrap up so many loose ends...won’t it, Averyl?"

Astrid woke up with her alarm blaring in her ears. She groaned and got ready to shower. She peaked inside her grandfather's room and saw it empty. They sure wake up early! 

Astrid showered and tidied her room. She heard sounds of wood being chopped and walked towards the back of her house. Enlil was topless again! And god he looked so sexy, with droplets of sweat trailing down his body, biceps and triceps tout, sawing a piece of wood. He made carpentry desirable!

`You sure know how to attract the opposite gender Enlil', Astrid mused, looking around for her grandfather.

Enlil stopped sawing the wooden plank and wiped his brow with a towel. `You mean yourself?'. He smirked at her.

`Ha, ha, ha, ha. Funny.' Astrid spoke dryly. `What are you doing?'

`Come here.', Enlil motioned Astrid to come over and showed her a piece of paper which looked like a blueprint of her current house; albeit a simple one. 

`This is your current house. But we need to reinforce it. With your newfound abilities I'm afraid it may be out of control for beginners. The roof needs to be changed to ceramic tiles. Need additional woodwork here and here.' He pointed out to the ceiling and walls. 

From Astrid's point of view, it looked more like tearing the house apart and rebuilding it from bottoms up. She had mixed feelings about it. Excitement and worry?

`Your kitchen needs upgrading with extra storage. And the best part is you will get a gym of your own. Maybe an additional room for your jars and all would be good.' Enlil drew some more on the paper.

`Can I get a bigger like cupboard to store clothes?' Astrid asked. Enlil nodded.

`Don't you think you are getting late for work'? Grandpa Jones spoke and Astrid turned to hugged him tightly before kissing his cheek. 

`Can I decorate the house, pleeaaasseee?'  Astrid pleaded with puppy eyes looking at Enlil and pop. Enlil shrugged his shoulders and continued his work.

`Alright, but we don't want too many stuff in the house. Just the essentials would do.' Grandpa Jones motioned the kitchen for Astrid to eat breakfast and get ready for work.

Astrid ate a light breakfast and Grandpa Jones assured her the house would be done in a few days' time. Astrid was surprised but she guessed being a Wind God meant using his ability to the maximum. All the perks of being a God!

Grandpa Jones and Enlil pored over the blueprint and decided to rebuild the house using mortar and brick. Both did not know how the wind and earth energy will work in their favour and a strong foundation would be good. They didn't want to rebuild the house repeatedly.

Grandpa Jones went to the industrial portion of Anubia to order a truckload of cement, mixers, roof tiles, brick, steel pipes, paints, wood laminate, glue and other equipment needed to build a house. He was excited at the prospect of constructing something. Grandpa Jones rented a truck and drove to his house in the middle of Mellow Forest.

`Enlil, we need to finish this up before sun sets. Can we do it?', Grandpa Jones was using the help of wind to bring all them items down and spread it on the ground carefully.

`I think we can do it together in no time.' Enlil replied. He used a sweeping motion and cleared an area of trees and plants. He inhaled deeply and used his hand to gather a ball of wind. He pushed the wind ball towards the house and the wind enveloped the house entirely.

Enlil motioned the wind upwards and slowly the house was lifted off ground. It looked like magic of sorts with a house floating in the air! Grandpa Jones contributed a few more balls of wind and helped to place it on the cleared piece of land.

After that both divided work among themselves. Enlil did the ground foundation and piling while Grandpa Jones did the fixtures,doors, and walls of the house. Both use their wind power extensively, be it mixing the cement or hammering the wood. By lunch time, the walls were up! 

Grandpa Jones took a few wooden planks from the old house and hammered them together to build several makeshift fans. He gave it a push and a gale of wind continued to swing the fan pushing out strong wind to dry the cement. He placed the fans inside and outside of the house. 

By now, you could make an outline of a hall, 3 rooms, a kitchen, toilets (they decided to put toilets in 2 rooms and one next to the kitchen) a storage room and a mini gym room. Enlil and Grandpa Jones worked faster to complete the roof of the house. Enlil being stronger completed it and both took a break for lunch.

Grandpa Jones deliberated if he should use wooden flooring or tiles and Enlil suggested wooden flooring, being in the middle of the forest night temperature tend to drop and wooden flooring absorb heat compared to tiles. 

Grandpa Jones dug a hole in the ground and used his wind power to push sanitary toilet piping until it connected to the mainland manhole. He thought of the outhouse and decided to modernize it, thinking it to be more appropriate for Astrid. However, he was stuck at the underground mainland manhole because it was made of steel and concrete. In other words, his piping was illegal.

`Enlil, you think you can blast through steel and concrete?' he explained the situation to Enlil.

Enlil thought for a while and came up with a solution. He made mini fans of steel blades and inserted them into the pipes. When it reached the end point, he increased the speed of the steel blades until it started cutting through the concrete. The entire process took 45 minutes and he managed fix the pipe to the manhole. Grandpa Jones sealed it with glue for strength.

Next, both angled the windowpanes and door frames towards the frames in the house and sealed it. The warm weather and the strong wind sealed all the glues and cement in place. Lastly, they took out wiring for electricity and Grandpa Jones started wiring the house. He connected it to a solar panels located on top of a tree and turn on the power switch. 

Enlil started placing the wooden flooring in place. He uses 1 by1 ft laminated wooden flooring in light brown colour. Both fixed dark brown tiles on the bathroom floor, fixed the toilet bowls, sinks and shower. He tested all of them before smiling in satisfaction. Astrid would be so pleased with him, Grandpa Jones smiled.      

Grandpa Jones went to the kitchen and laminated the kitchen fixtures in maroon and cream colour. After that, he went to his room and sat on a stool in the middle of the room. He used his wind power to paint the room in strokes and Enlil observed him.

`Which colour would Astrid like?' he asked.

`Hold it, there are many paints and sealants. Let me finish this room first'. Grandpa Jones finished with the sealant and used the fan to dry it.

`This Nippon Drifting Lavender is for her room and the remaining room, Gracious Gray for outdoor, Restfull for all the interiors, Soothing Blue for the washroom and Marmalade Rush for the gym. What do you think?

`I think they fit perfectly well.' Enlil managed a small smile and started painting. He worked faster by assigning this wind minions to paint the entire house simultaneously! Talk about over achiever.

By the time they were done with the painting, the only thing remained was attaching actual fans, lights and arranging the furniture.  

Looking at clock strike 7pm, Grandpa Jones looked around in satisfaction. The house is complete! He was ecstatic being able to use his wind energy to the fullest potential. He took his mobile phone out and searched for Astrid's phone number. She is going to be surprised!

Astrid drank the warm lemon honey water and stared at his chest again. She could not help herself but ask, `The words on your chest. What does it mean?’

`Show me?’ Ace smirked.

Astrid knew what he was doing, and she played along. Her fingers trailed to the Japanese words and stopped there.

`Zephyr belongs to me.’ He muttered.

`And this?’, Astrid spoke softly, her fingers moving to the opposite direction. 

`Divine, precious lady. Time for action now’. He grabbed her fingers and started kissing each, starting from the base to their tips, maintaining his eye contact with her. It was so sensual and stimulating, his soft lips kissing as if her fingers were her lips. Astrid felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Her left hand unconsciously, touch his face and he leaned on her hands, she mustered enough courage to prevent her mind from going into an overdrive of sentiments, and uttered `I need to pee’.

Ace chuckled and smooched her cheek.

The next morning they both woke up at 8 o'clock. He got dressed and said his good byes to her. He took his duffle bag and laptop. This time he didn't leave anything behind. Evelyn felt sad watching him go. She knew he was respecting her wishes and he won't be coming here tonight. 

She took a shower and brushed her teeth. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and allowed a few strands to frame her face. She curled the ends. She put on a light amount of makeup and then went to change.

Evelyn put on a pair of dark blue jeans and a white long sleeve v-neck shirt. She completed her look by putting on a brown belt and waited for Zain, Phoenix, and Chloe to show up. Phoenix showed up first, then Zain, and finally Chloe with Driver Chung.

They drove to the shopping district where they had dim sum for breakfast.
 
 Mingxi had called while they were at the restaurant and told her that the cleaners were at the apartment and that they would be done in four hours. So they would be done by 2 o'clock.

That worked for Evelyn. It meant she could start having things moved in before the end of today.

After breakfast the four of them drove to Royal Furniture. Driver Chung dropped them off and they walked inside.

"I'm so excited!" Chloe said looking at everything. She started roaming around away from the group.

Zain broke off to look at the selection of studies. Phoenix stayed with Evelyn.

"Look," they both said and pointed to a bedroom set. The bed was king sized with a padded headboard. The entire room had a gold, ice blue, and ivory design. Evelyn really liked this color scheme. It had light fixtures and an ottoman at the foot of the bed. It had ivory dressers and a small section of the wall was a full length mirror. It was a very elegant design that Evelyn loved. 

She flopped onto the bed to test the mattress  much to the sales lady's dismay.

"Miss! You can't do that," the lady exclaimed. Evelyn hopped off the bed. The bed mattress was too soft and didn't offer much back support. 

"Sorry. I want to buy this bedroom set but not the mattress or pillows." Evelyn said when her feet touched the ground.

"That's great but you won't be getting a discount just because you don't want those pieces," the woman said snidely. Evelyn blinked she got the hint that this woman didn't like her.

"That's fine," she said.

"Well follow me, you can place your order." The sales lady said. Evelyn looked at Phoenix and Phoenix shrugged.

"Is it possible to deliver today?" Evelyn asked.

"It's an extra 25,000 yuan" the lady said. She handled the transaction nonchalantly. Simply going through the phase.

"So the total is 1,000,000 yuan." The lady said entering it the data into a computer.

"Is there an instillation fee?" Evelyn asked. The lady sighed.

"It's an extra 20,000 yuan." She replied. Phoenix couldn't take it anymore and snapped.

"What's your problem?" She gently shoved Evelyn out of the way.

"What? I'm just doing my job. Look are you even going to be able to pay?" The lady asked looking Evelyn up and down clearly judging her casual clothing.

"Is something wrong?" Zain asked.

"Mr. Li! I didn't know you would be here. Give me a moment and I'll close the store for you," the sales lady said.

"Excuse me ladies but we're going to close up shop right now." The lady came out from behind the counter like she was going to kick them out.

"Evelyn!" Another voice rang out. It was the owner of the furniture store.

"Auntie Huang, how are you?" Evelyn asked. The sales lady looked confused. Auntie Huang was a childhood friend of her mother's. They had both gone into interior design.
 
"I'm well, how are you? How are the kids?" Evelyn asked.

"Oh they're such a handful. The oldest is college soon. The younger is in her second year of high school." Auntie Huang said. The sales lady looked between the two of them.

"Uh Mrs. Huang, who is this?" The sales lady asked her boss.

"This is Evelyn Wei. Deming Wei's daughter." She gave her employee a look.

"Was there a problem," Auntie Huang inquired.

"No not at all. Just that this employee of yours being condescending to Evelyn." Phoenix said.

"Phoenix," Evelyn hushed.

"It's okay," Evelyn said to Auntie Huang.

"Hmm," she narrowed her eyes at her employee.

"Auntie, I just bought a new place and I need to furnish it. I was buying this bedroom set," Evelyn said pointing to the display.

"Ah an excellent choice," Auntie Huang said. She moved to the computer and continued the transaction.

"Aren't we here for more than just that room?" Zain asked.

"Yes, I needed a new study, another bedroom, living room, and some outdoor furniture." Evelyn said counting off her fingers.

"Well feel free to keep looking. I'll Just ring put this order through." Auntie Huang said. Zain led Evelyn and Phoenix to a Study that he thought she might like.

He showed her a luxury home office design. It had espresso colored wood furniture. There was a reddish brown rug. There was a love seat and single seaters of black leather. Evelyn liked this one. 

Phoenix tugged her toward another home office display. It was white and blue designed. The table was made of glass with silver legs. The book cases were white and would fit perfectly in her small study. The coffee table was the same color and had light blue and ivory colored place settings. The place settings matched the rug. The couch was an ivory leather. It had a more feminine touch. She preferred this one particularly because it was much different than the one she had than her previous home. 

"I'll take this one." Evelyn said. 

"Okay," Auntie Huang said making a note of it. 

Chloe then pulled her to look at a red and gold designed bedroom. The furniture was mahogany colored and had mahogany dressers. The bed however was queen sized. The curtains were a red and gold design as was the rug. 

"This would look nice for your guest room!" Chloe said excitedly. Phoenix chimes in with her agreement as well. Of course red and gold were Phoenix's favorite colors. Evelyn happened to agree that the design was exquisite so she added that to her list as well. 

The living room she chose was simple. It had ivory colored sofas with an ivory loveseat. The coffee table was made of glass similar to her study desk. The rug was a rich brown color. 

Zain helped her pick out simple outdoor furniture. Metal furniture with red cushions and a white umbrella with elaborate red designs. 

Auntie Huang told her that because the two bedrooms needed to be painted and wallpapered the furniture wouldn't arrive for those rooms until tomorrow. Today they could have the painters paint and wallpaper the bedroom. The office and living room could be put together today. 

Evelyn called to confirm that the cleaning would be finished on time today. Once she did she told Auntie Huang that it could start the work today and finish tomorrow. Evelyn spent a hefty amount that morning on furniture.

They walked out of the store and Zain reminded Evelyn that they needed mattresses and pillows since they decided not to buy the ones from Royal Palace.

Evelyn, Chloe, Phoenix, and Zain walked two blocks to a mattress boutique. They picked out a king and queen sized mattress and pillows to go with it. When they finished it was  about 1 o'clock and they went to have lunch. 

Zain was in the mood for a good hamburger and the girls agreed. They called Mingxi and she said that they were almost done. After lunch Zain and Phoenix would go to her apartment to over sea the guys paint and move furniture into her apartment. Chloe and Evelyn went to shop for other things. 

They went to get her towels, lamps, cookware, kitchen appliances, TVs, clocks, and some other things. Driver Chung had to help them carry things. 

He drove them to her apartment and helped bring everything upstairs. It was 5 o'clock when they got up to the apartment. The rooms were painted and the living room was set up. The workers left for the day and said they would be back tomorrow at 10 o'clock. 

Zain helped her set up the appliances. They left the TVs for the bedroom in the living room as they didn't want to put things in until the furniture came. 

"Let me treat you guys to dinner," Evelyn said when they finished. They all declined saying they were tired. So Driver Chung drove them back to Mingxi home first, then to the hotel since Zain and Phoenix has left their car there that morning. 

They parted ways and Chloe said she would go with her tomorrow for the rest of the instillation. 

Evelyn went back up to her room and nearly slumped down as soon as she walked in. She was exhausted. She changed her clothes then called for room service.

Arriving at the coordinates that Henry has to send her, Sarah James is shocked to find an inviting cabin so deep in the swamps.
The light inside and outside the cabin is her beacon of light in the darkness of the light. Because of the changing seasons, the winter moon is already descending upon the treeline when Sarah leaves her car to knock on Henry's door.
Despite having skipped her evening workout Sarah is exhausted from her mother's scam and fighting her stepfather, so much so, that she after waiting for two minutes tries to go in, technically being invited. To her utter delight, the front door is unlocked.
Moving inside, Sarah is instantly enveloped by the warmth from the crackling fire in the chimney. Looking around she is instantly surprised by two things. First, everything is squeaky clean, totally at odds with her impressions of bachelor pets. Second, nothing seems misplaced as if this cabin was a showcase house for potential buyers, because nothing is indicating that someone is actually living here.
-It must be because he just came back from overseas...- The starlet thinks to herself further exploring the ground floor. To the left of the entrance is an inviting state of the art kitchen. White Italian marble used on the floor and on top of every surface make this kitchen seem not only expensive but also homey. Centerpieces of the kitchen are for one the silver extra large fridge and the kitchen island in the middle of the kitchen. The walls are either occupied with two-piece cabinets, one overhead and one underneath marble work surfaces.
-What a masterpiece! - She can only think of when describing this kitchen. Taking a glass out of one overhead cabin and getting water from a gorgeous sink, she moves into the next room.
Coming into the dining room, Sarah is blasted away by the view looking out of the huge wall-sized windows. A silent creek and a small pier are illuminated by moonlight but also the outdoor lighting. -Looks perfect. Just like a painting.- She thinks before averting her eyes to check out the room. Seeing a huge flat screen on the wall a library of movies and video games on the shelves, she is instantly reminded that a man is living here. 
-Still a man cave...- She thinks to turn on the TV and starts looking through the shelves until she finds a picture of Henry and his family. On the first casual look, the family seems normal a beautiful Asian looking woman, a tall good looking black man, and a Henry around six years. On the second look at which Sara focuses less on the cute Henry but at his parents, her breathing freezes. Only now does she recognize the adult male in the picture remember his name. 
-Edgar King, the Founder and current Ceo of King Investments, a multibillion-dollar investment firm and a social circle above even her Stepfather Jack Kyles.- Thinking about the implications that this man being Henry's father entails. -Holy freaking shit! Henry is rich?!-
With that moving on to the next room is suddenly a lot harder to do. 
-Is he too good for me?- Having depressing thoughts as these she goes into the next room that as it turns out is a bathroom. There she instantly falls in love with the family sized hot tub. Huge and comfortable at the same time Sarah instantly can imagine herself lounging inside of it looking over the creek.
Forcing herself to exit her new favorite place in Henry's cabin she comes full circle, rentering the entrance, where one set of stairs lead to the second floor. Wanting to move up the stairs curious about what she might find in her new rich friend's bedroom, just like a child on an adventure, she hears a motorcycle outside.
-Is that Henry?- Sarah asks herself, moving to the front door, spying through the window next to it.

''Relax Bets the bullet only grazed your hubby's skull,'' I tell her but am instantly cursed to the moon and back. Hearing her berating come to an end I am finally able to ask her the pressing question of the Ferraris owner.
''I know I did wrong, but please tell me that the Ferrari parked on the lawn of my cabin is yours and not dads?''
''Have you already forgotten dad hates Ferraris and only buys Bentleys and Porsches, never Ferraris and it ain't mine. My monthly allowance doesn't cover a Ferrari. Wait a minute, you have bought a cabin? When did that happen?''
Hearing my sister's words of the car neither belonging to her or my father I instantly draw my gun, equipping the silencer on it and move out of sight from the front porch. Out of side, I command the system to show me the map and instantly a mental minimap appears in my mind showing my current position, the cabins structure and one single green dot behind a window near my front door.
Moving around the house I hear Sarah's voice from the gaming room saying: ''I always tell them, 'Chanel No.5' because it's the truth… And yet, I don't want to say 'nude'. But it's the truth!..''
My mind short circuits and I move into action without any care, only thinking the worst. -Could be CI, but they don't drive in Ferraris. Could be Michael holding a grudge because of scamming him by paying only a dollar for the land, but he also doesn't have the pockets to fit the bill. MI7 taking Sarah hostage? Most likely because they have the pockets and keep grudges for a long time...-
Moving through the open bathroom door connecting the back porch with the inside, I first go to the entrance, expecting an armed intruder.
Gun pointed high I sneak up on the blond woman still looking outside. My right covering her mouth and left pointing my gun at the small of her back, I instantly take the intruder hostage warning.
''Don't move I have a 9 mil aimed at your kidneys. One wrong move and you will painfully bleed out.''
Wordlessly I direct the woman into the game room where I think Sarah is held captive. Without looking at the women's face I am ready to hit her unconscious the moment I see Sarah.
What I find in the game room is not what I expect to see. Nobody tight up on the sofa, but a turned on TV showing Sarah for a short moment in the woods before showing a title screen of an upcoming movie called 'Dawn 3-Until Dawn part I' before switching to another saying 'Starring Sarah James and Robert Paiton- in theaters- December 21'.
''What the fuck?'' I say thinking out loud before turning my blond hostage around. Looking at the woman's face framed by blond and partly covered by my hand mouth, I remove my hand from her thinking. 
-Sarah is a movie star?-
''I am sorry for entering!'' Sarah tells me frightened looking at my still drawn gun aimed at her.
Lowering my gun embarrassed, I tell her guilty admitting my fault. ''You don't have to be sorry for entering. I invited you. It just didn't cross my mind that the Ferrari on my lawn was yours. After my sister...'' I stop explaining and stop apologizing because am amazed by one blond heading angle.
''Stop talking and let me hug you.'' I hear coming from my chest and feel a sudden wetness on my chest. Hugging Sarah back, I press her even closer to my chest, asking her: ''How can I make this up to you?''
Hearing a light sniffing, I look down, finding Sarah look up at me. Just when I am about to kiss her she answers me in a childish voice totally ruining the mood: ''To make it up to me, let's watch 'All I Want for Christmas' with Leslie Nielsen and eat pizza!''

    The silence of the wilderness of Southern California was uninterrupted; a slight breeze rustled the trees upon the tall trees, grass and thick bushes lightly, the sound itself peaceful and gentle. The darkness of the night was contrasted by the light of the full moon above, the stars twinkling across the night sky. All was quiet up and over the mountains and hills of the Southern California countryside, not even a car or two on the small roads that stretched across some of the lush and natural land. But deep in the wilderness stood a large complex of buildings of various size surrounded by a solid wall encompassing it. The large fifteen building complex was illuminated by the moon in darkness, most of its windows sealed by steel shudders. Street lights and outdoor building lights were shut off, not a light illuminating from the facility itself.
     The buildings of the facility were connected by interconnected halls of varying lengths and sizes, not a sidewalk in sight except out into the large, front parking lot. Even the windows of the halls were shuttered tight, the entire facility seemingly on lockdown. Not a soul was outside; only Mother Nature and empty cars in the parking lot populated the outside. However, it was not long before the silence was interuppted suddenly; shrieks and screams were audible but muffled, coming from the interior of the mysterious complex. Muffled screams of men and women continued to peak out from the facility itself. 
     Inside, the halls were drowned in darkness or dim lighting. The metallic interrior was cold, the air thick with tension and stunk of death and fear. However, there was no silence within these halls; there were blood-curdling screams; screams of men and women alongside metal stressing and the frantic footsteps of fleeing innocents. This came from a group of eight people that appeared to be wearing lab coats and jackets, most of them young adults. Several of them were covered in blood, the woman sprinting at the front of the group drowned in the crimson bodily fluid. What followed their screams and thundering footsteps was the sound of growling, snarling and animalistic screeching, the sound almost deafening as it became louder and louder. The group sprinted through the halls and leaped down a set of stairs in to the floor below in their efforts to find safety or escape their pursuer that stalked them in the dark like a predator stalking its prey. The last person of the group was a young man, who looked behind himself and widened his dark blue eyes in shock as his pupils stared directly at his pursuer, a large hulking creature that reached towards him with huge, rotting hands. Its meaty hands wrapped itself around the torso of the young man, yanking him from the sight of the young woman in front of him. The man was instantly consumed by the darkness, his screams becoming even louder as the sound of tearing and ripping flesh was heard right after whatever grabbed him did so.
    "NOOOOOO!" the woman before him screamed, tripping over herself after having looked back and attempted to reach for him. She hit the metallic floor hard on her side, the desperate woman crawling before getting to one of her knees and attempting to throw herself forward onto her feet to catch up to the other six. However, it was far too late for her as she stepped once forward, the creature's hands grabbing her head and almost easily ripping it from her neck as she stepped forward. Her headless body flung itself onto its back with a loud clang as the hand pulled itself back into the darkness. 
      The group of six kept fleeing for their lives, making their way through the maze of hallways within the complex. Their footsteps and heavy breathing echoed through the halls as the screeching and snarling seemed to die down. Soon, after navigating themselves through another stairwell and several more hallways, the group came to a hall that led down to a sealed room with a sign that said "Security Station" hanging over the doorway. 
     "There it is!" the leader of the group exclaimed, pointing at it and catching her breath. Her small, brown eyes focused on the illuminated sign, as though the green color of the small light emitting from it representing hope to the Japanese woman and her fellow colleagues. "Come on!" 
     Suddenly, the door to their right was ripped open with ease, causing her and her group to scream out in horror. She began her sprint down the hall, three members of the group frozen by fear as the rest followed. The hulking shadow stood over them with its gigantic, dog-like teeth showing. Two of the three standing in fear, a man and two women, then started to run , one of the women pushing the other into the creature's general direction with a shove. The woman screamed in absolute shock, the creature grabbing her and dragging her towards itself before, again, blood curdling screams and gorging were heard. The lead of the group reached the door, attempting to open it using the small number pad that was next to the doorway. Frantically entering in the code with shaking hands, the metal door slowly opened in front of her, the rest of the group still attempting to catch up with her. One of them reached in her general direction as she ran towards her.
     "PROFESSOR ITO!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. "PROFESSOR ITO! WAIT FOR US!!!!!" Ito, the leader, stepped into the room as the door opened wide open for them. The young professor waved them forward quickly.
     "COME!" Ito bellowed at them. "BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE! COME QUICK!" The thudding of heavy stomps came bareling towards them, the shadowy, hulking figure appearing behind the fleeing group fast. Ito, shocked by fear, stared at them before leaning to the side and pressing a button on the keypad that began to close the metal doors.
     "NO!" the woman that shouted at her in the hall screamed. "DON'T DO THIS!!!!"
    "I am sorry..." she muttered as the door continued to close. She shed a few tears as she watched her doomed colleagues run for their lives towards her. The shadowy creature swiped two of the three fleeing people, hitting the wall with brute force. The woman looked behind herself and screamed again before she looked back to the front and lept foward towards the door, the door closing on half of her torso and catching her. It began to crush her, Ito bellowing out in terror. She stumbled back as the woman still reached towards Ito, screaming and crying, the life slowly escaping her eyes. The door then fully closed, her upper half of her body falling to the floor with a meaty thud. Her entrails and innerds began to slowly slide from her body, blood surrounding the woman's upper half. Breathing heavily and crying in shock, Ito forced herself into one of the security computers, typing frantically on the keyboard and turning on a microphone sitting in front of it. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and focused her gaze at the camera on top of the computer.
    "This is Professor Ito, researcher at Desmond Dawes M.U.R.C." she began with a shaky and unstable voice. "Priority Message Code 003!" The sound of clanging and banging was heard from the otherside of the bloody steel door, the metal beginning to dent as it was getting pounded on repeatedly by the creature behind it. 
    "A Level-10 emergency has occured!" Ito exclaimed. "I repeat, a Level-10 emergency has occured. Initiate response procedure 5 immediately!" Again the door was being pounded on, the metal continuing to be punched and bashed in. Ito look back at the bloody door, seeing the door being ripped apart by the creature like a person ripping through a wet paper bag. Ito spun her had back around to the computer. 
    "PLEASE!" she cried out at the screen, tearing up and sobbing in front of the camera on the computer. "PLEASE SEND HELP!!!!" Suddenly, the computer had been shut off, whatever power the Security Room had going down. It was complete dark within the Security Room, Ito whimpering and shivering in fear as she stood in the dark in front of the large, hulking creature. As the darkness overtook everything, she let out a final scream after it had snarled and screeched aloud...
     Silence followed...

She abruptly straightened herself and looked at the jerk god's face that is now grining wildly at her.


"Pretty woman, you drooled again" he said teasingly. She checked the area where she slept and...


Ptui! Alas! It's not a joke anymore! There is really a drool on his arm! Unfortunately, he's wearing a lounge wear which is just a pure white fitted shirt and a black jogging pants. Her drool flowed freely directly on his arm!

She want to jump from the chopper and end this embarassing life!

She smiled apologetically at Mo Zhaoshan and got her santizer and a tissue roll from her bag.


"Doctors are clean freaks. How come you drool this much?" he asked while watching her clean his arms.

Xiaxia suddenly stopped wiping the wet part of his arm.


STFU ALRIGHT?! Her face is so red that it appears like it has been slapped for at least hundred times.

Mo Zhaoshan enjoyed being wiped by his wifey so he shut up and didn't disturbed her. Xiaxia on the other hand, didn't stop wiping til the skin went reddish.

His skin is more sensitive than mine!


"We're here. Have a look" Mo Zhaoshan said while pointing outside the window.

Xiaxia peeked outside and saw a massive resort below which is grandiously positioned beside the sea. She would be lying if she'll say that she was not amazed by the view. It was already dark but the lights from the resort is enough to lighten the seashore nearby.

They landed on an open area near the resort.

Around twenty men in black stood there waiting for them. All of them are burly and expressionless. Meanwhile, Mo Zhaoshan, after helping Xiaxia going down of the chopper, approached the twenty men as they bowed synchronizely at him.

Xiaxia followed behind him together with Butler Rong and of course the pilot, Fan Rui.


"Greetings President Mo" they said in unison.

"En." he said plainly.

"Where's the brat Song Yue?" he said.

The first man in black answered respectfully.

"Replying to President Mo, he personally checked to see if your villa is perfectly ready for your arrival." then he bowed slightly.

"Bring me to him."

"Yes, President Mo."


Song Yue. Ooohhh maybe he's the one we'll talk business with. Xiaxia thought.

Upon the entrance is a row of cherry blossoms in their pink season. The landscape made the whole place look friendly without overthrowing the elegance on each angle. The grass they're stepping on is neatly trimmed and statues of mermaids are placed here and there. The lighting fixtures are all ball of white which looked like pearls hanging all around.


An arc was placed before the whole place.

"Merman's Haven", it was engraved on the arc while the whole arc is covered by different but rare sea shells and stones.

A man wearing a fitted blue polo shirt and cocky trousers approached them.

This god is so sexy!

Xiaxia almost drooled again upon seeing the man approach them. He almost looked like Mo Zhaoshan. More likely they're cousins as well like Celestine.

The man opened his arms wide and attempted to hug Mo Zhaoshan when he suddenly caught sight of a cold beautiful diety behind his cousin. He instead detoured behind Mo Zhaoshan and brimmed brightly at Xiaxia.

He was really happy to see a diety who is stoned face and void of worldliness. He's guessing that he might already seen the love of his life.

"I dreamed of you every night. Nice meeting you, Mi Amore" he slowly picked Xiaxia's hand and tried to kiss the back of her hand.

But before he could, the temperature in the island suddenly dropped and a loud thunder sounded suddenly.

"In this lifetime, I will not let you leave me again..."

"Who do you really love? The Jingxian who died with you or Bai Xia that is alive with you?..."

Howl! Howl, howl, howl! "Who attacked me secretly?"
Buttface's scream was echoing in Xu Que's ears. Everything went black in front of him. Then he felt his feet had touched the ground and the traction force on his body disappeared rapidly. It was quite dark around him. It seemed he was in a secret chamber. Chilly wind kept blowing, which was nothing better than the feeling in the Ice Valley. A moment later, several figures appeared on a broad plain, which were Xu Que and his teammates. The powerful traction force had teleported them to this outdoor place. When Xu Que landed on the ground, he couldn't help but squint his eyes because of the dazzling sunshine.
"What? Why are we in an outdoor place?" He was puzzled as he saw the blue sky and white clouds above him. Sunshine had disappeared for several days since they entered the Refined Moon Palace. Now, they were sent to an outdoor place inexplicably, which was quite weird.
"No, this is not the Taijin Continent!" Buttface shouted as he looked around suspiciously.
Xu Que also started to check this place with his Soul Strength. He found a city was not far away. Some auras in that city were quite familiar for he sensed those auras in the dark and damp secret chamber just now. So, they had been teleported to an above-ground place not far away.
However, it was still quite weird. If they were still in the Refined Moon Palace, how could they see the sky? The point was that the sky was totally different from the sky of the Taijin Continent. There was no Spiritual Qi in the air, which was not suitable for cultivation at all.
But countless cultivators and powerhouses of the Taijin Continent were in this place. Most of them were gathering in the city which was not far away!

When they were in the Ice Valley, he saw a plaque in the corridor through the ice door. There were three characters on that plaque. One of them was Good. The script was identical with the one on this jade plate.
"Could it be that we are still in the Refined Moon Palace?" Xu Que asked dubiously.
Jiang Hongyan and the rest of the teammates said nothing and also looked at their jade plates seriously.
"Newbies! My God! Finally, we got some newbies!" Just at this time, a shout could be heard from the city suddenly. Xu Que and his team were shocked and turned around immediately. The city, which had been very quiet just now, became bustling suddenly. A large group of people rushed out clamorously.
