Just when Penny was eating her hand suddenly froze with the quick flashes of images that came to move in front of her eyes. It was like a piece of memory she didn't know of and her hands turned cold. 
Her mother was the one to come and fetch her empty plate, "Wash your hand. It isn't good to leave it dry," said her mother. Penny only nodded her mind in a daze where she wasn't able to form a proper sentence or speak a word right now. 
Washing her hand and seeing her mother clean up the ground, she turned around. Walking to the desk and asking her mother, "Mama, I brought a small stone back home last week. Did you see it?" she asked, her head turned slightly to make sure her mother was still outside. 
"It must be somewhere there on the bed. Where did you misplace it?" she heard her mother ask. Penny could feel her hands shake, her heartbeat rising and thudding as seconds flew by. She quickly reached for the parchment of papers which was lying in the drawer as expected. Pulling it out, she started to read,
'Incantation of the dead and bringing the death to step back into the world…' she couldn't read past more than one line when her mother pulled the parchment from her hand. 
"I thought you were looking for your stone," her mother looked straight into her eyes, an evil smile which she wasn't familiar with her mother's face right now, "Your habit to snoop around is something I have been trying to get rid of. Every.Single.Time," her mother stressed. 
Penny, unable to stop herself from asking, asked, "What are those?" 
"Why don't you take a seat, Penny?" her mother said but Penny was shocked with what she just read. Her mother walked to the other side of the room, taking a handful of the ash powder and placing the parchment down on the table. 
"No...you..you have been doing something to me," Penny could feel the goosebumps forming on all over her screen. She didn't remember everything but there were bits and pieces of her memory that had returned back which her mother had done something with.
Her mother smiled sweetly at her, "What do you mean I have done something to you? Do you even hear what you are saying," she then suddenly blew the powder from her hand, chanting and murmuring something under her breath which made Penny standstill and unable to move, "You are my daughter yet you are so slow. To blurt out what you find after your memories return to only be caught again. Don't worry. I will make sure to take care of you as I have been doing. You don't have to remember the bad dreams."
"No," Penny whispered in an alarmed tone, "Don't-" she could feel the panic begin to trickle up her nerves which were climbing up. 
"Shh," her mother patted her head. Moving her hand gently as Penny remembered the last time her mother had beaten her, "You don't have to remember the bad dreams. My good daughter, you have to listen to me but you never do."
"Mama, please, don't do this," she uttered the words as her mother continued to pat her head, "I am still your daughter," she said looking in horror on her face. 
"I know, dear. But if you really were, you would have told me that someone came to visit you today. Didn't they?" how did she know? "You didn't tell me and instead hid it from me. I feel hurt and betrayed. Every time I fix you up, it's like you want to continue to be broken. Why Penny?"
"Why did you hide?" Penny returned her answer with a question, "We are not humans, we are witches. You lied and hid it."
"This is what I meant. Running your mouth without listening to me. Let's hope this time you listen, okay?" and suddenly her mother banged her head against the wall with a force that turned Penny unconscious. When the next day arrived, as usual, Penny couldn't recollect as to what happened the previous day. 
When asked, her mother called it to be her episodes where she often fainted due to her weak health. Unfortunately, where the element bearer stood in the forest waiting for Penelope to turn back, the girl had no memory and the element bearer didn't come looking for her. 
When Penny finally woke up back in Delcrov's mansion, she stared at the ceiling. Her chest feeling lighter yet heavy at the same time. Her mother had been tampering with her mind over and over again until she felt she was the obedient child. 
Back then she loved her mother. She cherished her only family member but not anymore. Her memories were coming back, trying to complete the blanks which she had only come to notice.
Damien was right about something. At one point she would have to take a stand for herself against her mother. It wasn't that she hadn't in the past. Her questions which were asked to her mother in the past had been erased. Any form of resistance had been removed to the point where she believed every lie that her mother spoke. She tried remembering the day when this had happened. It wasn't an old memory but one which was recent as it felt fresh where she could grasp on the details better. It was a few days before her mother decided to fake her sickness.
Going to move her hand she found it to be wrapped in Damien's hand who was lying next to her in the bed. Upon her hand movement, his eyes opened. 
"Bad dream?" he asked.

"N-now?" stuttered the butler. It was the time of night.

Damien who hadn't broken his eye contact with the girl in front of him, pushed his hand against the wall which now rested beside his beautiful girl's head. Turning his body, he first looked at his butler who had his head bowed. With great courage, the butler came to meet his Master's eyes, "Do you have any other better time? Or should it be after I wring your neck?" Damien asked calmly tilting his head. Not a second later, the butler ran out of the room to return back with Mr. Reverale after twenty minutes.

"Damien, are we having a late tea party?" Mr. Reverale came to greet but the master of the house had other plans. Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out.

Just as Mr. Reverale went to exchange a handshake with him, Damien took hold of his hand to place it on the table. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain.

"No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings.

Meet Damien Quinn, a pureblooded vampire who is a complete narcissist, brash with his words and stingy even though he is rich who haggled when he bought a slave from the black market.

The drawers of her commode stood open, giving glimpses of dainty trifles, which she was tying up with bright ribbons.

A young girl's face at such moments is apt to be a happy one, but Rose's was very grave as she worked, and now and then she threw a parcel into the drawer with a careless toss, as if no love made the gift precious. So unusual was this expression that it struck Dr. Alec as he came in and brought an anxious look to his eyes, for any cloud on that other countenance dropped its shadow over his.

"Can you spare a minute from your pretty work to take a stitch in my old glove?" he asked, coming up to the table strew with ribbon, lace, and colored papers.

"Yes, Uncle, as many as you please."

The face brightened with sudden sunshine, both hands were put out to receive the shabby driving glove, and the voice was full of that affectionate alacrity which makes the smallest service sweet.

"My Lady Bountiful is hard at work, I see. Can I help in any way?" he asked, glancing at the display before him.

"No, thank you, unless you can make me as full of interest and pleasure in these things as I used to be. Don't you think preparing presents a great bore, expect for those you love and who love you?" she added in a tone which had a slight tremor in it as she uttered the last words.

"I don't give to people whom I care nothing for. Can't do it, especially at Christmas, when good will should go into everything one does. If all these 'pretties' are for dear friends, you must have a great many."

"I thought they were friends, but I find many of them are not, and that's the trouble, sir."

"Tell me all about it, dear, and let the old glove go," he said, sitting down beside her with his most sympathetic air.

But she held the glove fast, saying eagerly, "No, no, I love to do this! I don't feel as if I could look at you while I tell what a bad, suspicious girl I am," she added, keeping her eyes on her work.

"Very well, I'm ready for confessions of any iniquity and glad to get them, for sometimes lately I've seen a cloud in my girl's eyes and caught a worried tone in her voice. Is there a bitter drop in the cup that promised to be so sweet, Rose?"

"Oh, no not for those whom nothing can make me doubt! It is sweeter than ever to make these things, because my heart is in every stitch and I know that, poor as they are, they will be dear to you, Aunty Plenty, Aunt Jessie, Phebe, and the boys."

She opened a drawer where lay a pile of pretty gifts, wrought with loving care by her own hands, touching them tenderly as she spoke and patting the sailor's knot of blue ribbon on one fat parcel with a smile that told how unshakable her faith in someone was. "But these," she said, pulling open another drawer and tossing over its gay contents with an air half sad, half scornful, "these I bought and give because they are expected. These people care only for a rich gift, not one bit for the giver, whom they will secretly abuse if she is not as generous as they expect. How can I enjoy that sort of thing, Uncle?"

"You cannot, but perhaps you do some of them injustice, my dear. Don't let the envy or selfishness of a few poison your faith in all. Are you sure that none of these girls care for you?" he asked, reading a name here and there on the parcels scattered about.

"I'm afraid I am. You see I heard several talking together the other evening at Annabel's, only a few words, but it hurt me very much, for nearly everyone was speculating on what I would give them and hoping it would be something fine. 'She's so rich she ought to be generous,' said one. 'I've been perfectly devoted to her for weeks and hope she won't forget it,' said another. 'If she doesn't give me some of her gloves, I shall think she's very mean, for she has heaps, and I tried on a pair in fun so she could see they fitted and take a hint,' added a third. I did take the hint, you see." And Rose opened a handsome box in which lay several pairs of her best gloves, with buttons enough to satisfy the heart of the most covetous.

"Plenty of silver paper and perfume, but not much love went into that bundle, I fancy?" Dr. Alec could not help smiling at the disdainful little gesture with which Rose pushed away the box.

"Not a particle, nor in most of these. I have given them what they wanted and taken back the confidence and respect they didn't care for. It is wrong, I know, but I can't bear to think all the seeming goodwill and friendliness I've been enjoying was insincere and for a purpose. That's not the way I treat people."

"I am sure of it. Take things for what they are worth, dear, and try to find the wheat among the tares, for there is plenty if one knows how to look. Is that all the trouble?"

"No, sir that is the lightest part of it. I shall soon get over my disappointment in those girls and take them for what they are worth as you advise, but being deceived in them make me suspicious of others, and that is hateful. If I cannot trust people I'd rather keep by myself and be happy. I di detest maneuvering and underhanded plots and plans!"

Rose spoke petulantly and twitched her silk till it broke, while regret seemed to give place to anger as she spoke.

"There is evidently another thorn pricking. Let us have it out, and then I'll kiss the place to make it well as I used to do when I took the splinters from the fingers you are pricking so unmercifully," said the doctor, anxious to relieve his pet patient as soon as possible.

Rose laughed, but the color deepened in her cheeks as she answered with a pretty mixture of maidenly shyness and natural color.

"Aunty Clara worries me by warning me against half the young men I meet and insisting that they want only my money. Now that is dreadful, and I won't listen, but I can't help thinking of it sometimes, for they are very kind to me and I'm not vain enough to think it is my beauty. I suppose I am foolish, but I do like to feel that I am something besides an heiress."

The little quiver was in Rose's voice again as she ended, and Dr. Alex gave a quick sigh as he looked at the downcast face so full of the perplexity ingenuous spirits feel when doubt first mats their faith and dims the innocent beliefs still left from childhood. He had been expecting this and knew that what the girl just began to perceive and try modestly to tell had long ago been plain to worldlier eyes. The heiress was the attraction to most of the young men whom she met. Good fellows enough, but educated, as nearly all are nowadays, to believe that girls with beauty or money are brought to market to sell or buy as the case may be.

Rose could purchase anything she liked, as she combined both advantages, and was soon surrounded by many admirers, each striving to secure the prize. Not being trained to believe that the only end and aim of a woman's life was a good match, she was a little disturbed, when the first pleasing excitement was over, to discover that her fortune was her chief attraction.

It was impossible for her to help seeing, hearing, guessing this from a significant glance, a stray word, a slight hint here and there, and the quick instinct of a woman felt even before it understood the self-interest which chilled for her so many opening friendships. In her eyes love was a very sacred thing, hardly to be thought of till it came, reverently received and cherished faithfully to the end. Therefore, it is not strange that she shrank from hearing it flippantly discussed and marriage treated as a bargain to be haggled over, with little thought of its high duties, great responsibilities, and tender joys. Many things perplexed her, and sometimes a doubt of all that till now she had believed and trusted made her feel as if at sea without a compass, for the new world was so unlike the one she had been living in that it bewildered while it charmed the novice.

Dr. Alec understood the mood in which he found her and did his best to warn without saddening by too much worldly wisdom.

"You are something besides an heiress to those who know and love you, so take heart, my girl, and hold fast to the faith that is in you. There is a touchstone for all these things, and whatever does not ring true, doubt and avoid. After a moment's pause she answered, while a sudden smile dimpled around her mouth and the big glove went up to hide her telltale cheeks, "Uncle, if I must have lovers, I do wish they'd be more interesting. How can I like or respect men who go on as some of them do and then imagine women can feel honored by the offer of their hands? Hearts are out of fashion, so they don't say much about them."

"Ah, ha! That is the trouble, is it? And we begin to have delicate distressed, do we?" said Dr. Alec, glad to see her brightening and full of interest in the new topic, for he was a romantic old fellow, as he had confessed to his brother.

Rose put down the glove and looked up with a droll of amusement and disgust in her face. "Uncle, it is perfectly disgraceful! I've wanted to tell you, but I was ashamed, because I never could boast of such things as some girls do, and they were so absurd I couldn't feel as if they were worth repeating even to you. Perhaps I ought, though, for you may think it proper to command me to make a good match, and of course I should have to obey," she added, trying to look meek.

"Tell, by all means. Don't I always keep your secrets and give you the best advice, like a model guardian? You must have a confidant, and where find a better one than here?" he asked, tapping his waistcoat with an inviting gesture.

"Nowhere so I'll tell all but the names. I'd best be prudent, for I'm afraid you may get a little fierce you do sometimes when people vex me,"" began Rose, rather liking the prospect of a confidential chat with Uncle, for he had kept himself a good deal in the background lately.

"You know our ideas old-fashioned, so I was not prepare to have men propose at all times and places with no warning but a few smiles and soft speeches. I expected things of that sort would be very interesting and proper, not to say thrilling, on my part but they are not, and I find myself laughing instead of crying, feeling angry instead of glad, and forgetting all about it very soon. Why, Uncle, one absurd boy proposed when we'd met only half a dozen times. But he was dreadfully in debt, so that accounted for it perhaps." And Rose dusted her fingers, as if she had soiled them.

"I know him, and I thought he'd do it," observed the doctor with a shrug.

"Well, another went down upon his knees in Mrs. Van's greenhouse and poured forth his passion manfully, with a great cactus pricking his poor legs all the while. Kitty found him there, and it was impossible to keep sober, so he has hated me ever since."

The doctor's "Ha! Ha!" was good to hear, and Rose joined him, for it was impossible to regard these episodes seriously, since no true sentiment redeemed them from absurdity.

I burnt all the verses, so don't expect to see them, and he, poor fellow is consoling himself with Emma. Rose's voice sank almost to a whisper as she ended, and Dr. Alec bent his head, as if involuntarily saluting a comrade in misfortune. Then he got up, saying with a keen look into the face hi lifted by a finger under the chin, "Do you want another three months of this?"

"I'll tell you on New Year's Day, Uncle."

"Very well. Try to keep a straight course, my little captain, and if you see dirty weather ahead, call on your first mate."

"Aye, aye, sir. I'll remember."

The First Hunter is a short Korean, action-fantasy novel situated in a post-apocalyptic world. Monsters start appearing out of nowhere and people are unlocking strange powers. Those who unlock such powers are called ‘Hunters’, ones with the strength to kill the monsters. To fight and survive, that is their goal. Society crumbles and the world burns.

A very fun novel that dives into the plot almost instantly. The novel is interesting in a way that it depicts a lot of human nature and what people would do in a situation such as this is quite an accurate manner. The character development is also very good as you get to learn about the characters, their backgrounds, and their stories. All in all, this is another novel I’d recommend to a lot of readers who are interested in reading fantasy and gaming novels.

At this moment, Elder Xiao Yunhe and Elder Dugu Xiao lounged in their chairs before the computers and drank Immortal Happy Nectar with great enjoyment, and Elder Senior Sister Yu Yin, other disciples, and even the elves and knights in the Canglan City Shop were all doing the same. Like the most majestic and tallest mountain peaks in the world, they were amazing miracle-like grand peaks. They were the legendary Eight Mountain Pillars.
In the ocean of surging clouds, the eight mountains seemed to stand proudly beyond the sky!
"Taller than 3,000 meters and standing as high as the sky, the Eight Mountain Pillars could be seen in the depths of the ethereal clouds. A martial arts duel that would decide the fate of the Central Region and Dongying Region will take place here!"
The No.1 Master of the Central Region was going to duel with the unrivaled myth-like figure of the Dongying Region! Would it be an unfulfilled heroic ambition or the end of the military god's unrivaled legend?
"Wow-!?" Everyone stared at the screen with widened eyes. "Can we watch this today?!"
At the foot of the mountains were countless troops with flapping flags, but the greater number were top-level masters from the Central Region and Dongying Region.
At this moment, First Elder Hyru of the Elf Clan finally got some free time and arrived at the shop.
He saw several familiar faces such as the saint-level masters including St. Willy and St. Leidon; they were all watching something with concentration while wearing virtual reality headsets.
"What are you doing?" First Elder Hyru asked in bafflement.
They used to play games here, right? I've been absent for a while; how come you're not playing games anymore?
"Oh. Move away!" St. Leidon said without turning his head. "I'm watching the… Wuxia TV Series!"
"Wuxia TV Series? I only heard of Xianxia… are the Wuxia TV Series good?"
Then, he saw an elf rogue who looked like Queen Kellybel, and she was also watching the TV Series intently while wearing a virtual reality headset.
He recognized her in one glance.
How come you're watching it too?! To watch this Wuxia TV Series, you didn't even return to the Elf Royal Palace?!
Elder Hyru sneaked a glance from behind. "The Turbulent Homeland… Episode 21st?"
Should I watch it too?
Immediately, he found a spot and sat down.
Among the surging clouds, the grand mountains shot up into the sky.
Suddenly, everyone saw a light appearing on the horizon!
It looked like a distant shooting star falling from the Ninth Heaven in the universe!
With it came a clear long roar similar to that of a dragon. The sound came before the person!

 It was like any other day. Luke arrived home after his basketball practice. His father was nowhere to be seen. His father, Charles Wilbur, was an archaeologist and taught part time at the local university. His work kept him away on expeditions for days but he was supposed to come home that day.

'Dad,' Luke called out. 'Are you home?'

There was no reply. Luke called his dad's phone. He heard a faint ringtone from his dad's private study room.

'Dad?' Luke called out again. 'Are you there?'

He headed towards the study. As he was about to open the door, suddenly an ominous feeling came over Luke. He did not want to open it for some unfathomable reason. 

'Don't be silly,' Luke scolded himself. 'Dad's probably working in there or sleeping.'

Slowly, his hand turned the knob and he entered the room. His father's study room was like a library. The walls were lined with neatly arranged book shelves. There was a corner dedicated to some specimens his dad found on his different journeys. Those were collector's items, which Charles Wilbur cherished the most. The study table was dusted and clean; not even a piece of paper littered it. Charles Wilbur was a very meticulous and tidy person. He even put in a bed against one side of the wall, so that he could sleep in on night he worked late.

It was on the bed where Luke found his father. 

Luke let out a sigh of relief. His father was sleeping. Quietly, Luke stepped back to avoid disturbing his dad's slumber.

Luke went about his business, finishing his schoolwork. He was so engrossed in his work that when he check the clock, it was almost time for dinner. Schoolwork sure was exhausting. He headed downstairs. 

The house was quiet. His dad has not woken up yet. Strange, Luke thought. Usually his dad made dinner whenever he was home. He must have been really tired.

Luke heated some pizza and laid out the table. He once again went to the study.

'Dad,' he knocked on the door. 'Dad, dinner is ready.'

There was no response. 

'Dad!' Luke knocked harder. 'Dad, are you in there?'

Complete silence. The dreadful feeling was creeping up again. Luke barged into the room. His dad was still lying on the bed.

'D-dad?' Luke trembled. But there was no reply. Charles Wilbur looked as if he was sleeping peacefully.

'Dad!' Luke shook him. 'Dad wake up!'

But Charles Wilbur's body rolled over, lifeless and cold.

'Penny for your thoughts?'

Someone snapped him back to reality. A flash of bright blue hair almost blinded him.

At the edge of the Frozen Lake, Penny looked back once more and made a series of strange signs with her fingers before leaving with an evil glint flashing in her eyes. Grabbing a vine, she too got to the frozen cave.
This scene was what Jairo saw when he looked down the path again which made his heart beat faster out of fright because he understood those hand signs that Penny made making his already doubtful mind filled with more doubt.
" She has blue eyes and I saw a bit of a silver like color on her hair, but I couldn't see clearly because she was wearing a hoodie and those hand signs says she'll come back and no one knows those hand signs except for the....gasp! Are all the descendants of Boss really dead?!" asked Jairo.
Matt and Louis both look at each other in shock as they too saw the hand signs.
"Jai, if what you're saying is true then I almost killed one of Boss's descendants!" yelled Matt before he slapped his mouth shut and looked left and right checking to see if anyone else heard him while Jairo and Louis glared at him.
After Jairo and Louis had their fill in glaring at Matt for yelling, Louis asked, "So what do we do now, do we report back to boss?"
Jairo shaking his head to express his disagreement said seriously, "No we can't, it will alert the other side and Boss, his descendant, and we ourselves won't be safe either. We can't let that happen, there's finally good news that Boss has a child to succeed him. So right now, we tell Boss I mean mini-boss that they ran into the Frozen Lake and died immediately, just as the legend says."
"But for how long are we going to keep up this charade with mini-boss? We almost killed Boss's descendant while following his orders", Louis asked emotionally.
"I get what you mean Lou, I knew he was evil but I didn't expect him to be this evil. The next time he gives us orders we carry them out wisely and discretely but the most important thing is that he mustn't know that they're alive especially her".

At the Frozen Cave.
When Penny arrived at the cave, Timmy asked, "Yo Penny, what kind of hand signal was that? You haven't taught us yet".
Ignoring him, Penny walked to the end of the cave, raised her hand and slightly pushed on an unnoticeable tile on the wall which immediately opens the wall of the cave into a frozen tunnel which was illuminated with white light making it seem like an otherworldly place fit for immortal people.
Without wasting a second, Penny leads the shocked trio into the frozen tunnel and guides them to another wall which was relatively brown in contrast to the white tunnel.
Removing a medium-sized rock as big as a football, the brown wall was pulled backwards showing a vast field with different flowers, plants and trees. The field was so pretty with an ocean adjacent to it sending the ocean breeze towards the flowers and trees creating a kind of peaceful and magical ambiance around the field and perfecting the scenery was a magnificent villa standing right in the middle of it all.
"Wow!" Avi exclaimed with a huge beautiful smile across her face.
"What is this place?!" Timmy asked excitedly
"Welcome guys, this is your new home now". Penny said expressionlessly with the ocean breeze blowing into her hair, taking off the hood.
When Timmy and Avi heard the words 'new home', their countenance became sullen, and they looked behind them into the tunnel from where they came and sighed heavily.
"Dad brought me here severally over the years. He built it when I was 10 and I always felt how strange it was whenever he said how I'd need this place in the future, like he knew something was going to happen. But now.... I understand." Penny explained.
She still remembered how his silky black hair will fall, covering half of his face whenever he said, 'Penny, this is your real home, you can come here in the future when Dad's no longer with you.' with a huge smile on his face. Funny how she always thought that they'd never be separated, and she'd never need the house in this strange world. 
Looking back one last time, Penny, Cy, Avi and Timmy watch as the brown wall slowly closed and was replaced by the image of a giant tree. Smiling bitterly at the expected trick only her dad could make, Penny turned around and walked slowly towards the path made of cobblestone in the middle of the field that led to the villa.
Reaching the path made of cobblestone, Penny heard a voice, 'Penny, run away to the villa I showed you before, the one down the tunnel! And remember this, don't. come. back! If you ever disobey me, I'd never forgive you! Now run!..... Go!'. Thinking back to the last thing her Dad said to her, Penny's heart felt like it was being ripped apart. She'd never forget the scared look her Dad had on his face while telling her to run, but she asks for forgiveness one last time as she says,"Please forgive me dad but I'll have to break my promise to you. I *will* come back". 
Sighing heavily, she stopped and peered over her shoulders to the trio that was stilled in place before she resumed walking down the long stoned path. As if on cue Timmy and Avi follow after Penny with their mouths open while looking around in curiosity, gasping and wowing. 
Cyrus who was left behind, glanced at Penny who still had an unreadable expression on her face while she walked towards the villa, and the new-found world awaiting them, then a never before seen determination arose within Cyrus who gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
'...never again'.

As Jaune accompanied his teammates, along with Team RWBY and Team FAMS, to their first class of the day, which was with Miss Goodwitch, he found a familiar face in the classroom before them.
"Sal-u-tations, Jaune and his friends" Penny greeted everyone cheerfully as she walked over to them all.
"Atlas Academy?" Weiss asked with surprise.  Penny was indeed not wearing her usual clothes and had currently donned an Atlas Academy uniform.  Penny had only said one sentence but Weiss would already tell that Penny was a bit unusual for an Atlas student.
"My name is Penny.  I am here for the Vytal Festival Tournament" Penny explained to the group.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Penny." Ruby greeted Penny, also curious about the girl, though for a different reason then Weiss.  She was curious about how Penny knew Jaune, since Jaune and Nexus had not gone into precise details about what happened in Atlas.
"Penny's father was the one that helped Nexus." Jaune said to clear up Ruby's unspoken curiosity, then looked at Penny "It's a pleasure to see you again, Penny."
Penny seemed genuinely happy to hear him say that.
"You already know Nexus, but these are our teammates, Pyrrha and Rinoa." Jaune plsced a hand gently on Pyrrha's shoulder and then indicated Rinoa as he said her name "And these are team RWBY (Ruby) and FAMS (Flames).  The leader of Team RWBY is this adorable girl, Ruby Rose" he let go of Pyrrha and went to lightly pinch Ruby's cheek "This beauty..." he wrapped one arm around Weiss's shoulders "is Ruby's partner, Weiss Schnee, And their remaining teammates are Yang and Blake" he glanced towards each of them as he said their name.
Letting go of Weiss, Jaune went over to Cinder "This is Cinder Fall, the leader of Team FAMS.  Her partner is Mercury, and their remaining Teammates are Emerald and Neo" Jaune indicated Cinder, Mercury and Emerald as he introduced them, but when it came to be Neo's turn he gave her a hug.
Penny, who was really observant, and noticed that the four girls Jaune had made contact with seemed to be waiting in anticipation and were seemingly relieved when he touched them.  She already caught on to them being his girlfriends

When the other teams arrived and class started, Glynda Goodwitch introduced Penny to the rest of the class before letting Penny sit wherever she wanted since her teammates had not arrived yet.  Penny, naturally, chose to sit with Jaune and Pyrrha.
When the opportunity to challenge other students to duels came up, Cardin Winchester raised his hand "I want to see what the new girl can do." the truth was that penny seemed too cheerfully, and he arrogantly wanted to show her that being a huntsman was serious business.
"I am combat ready."Penny declared, accepting Cardin's challenge.
Jaune snickered "Ready to watch Cardin's pride get shattered?" he asked Pyrrha.
"Penny is strong then?" Pyrrha asked, to which Jaune nodded.
"Enjoy the show.  It wont last long" Jaune informed her.
Hearing that, Pyrrha paid extra close attention to penny, not wanting to miss anything.
Cardin looked extra cocky as he approached the battlefield and saw Penny seemingly unarmed "What abut your weapon?"
"I am combat ready" Penny repeated.
A few moments later, Glynda Goodwitch declared the start of the match, and Cardin tried to attack, but Penny effortlessly dodged each blow while studying his fighting style and using this as a learning opportunity.  Of course, the more that she made dodging him look like Child's play, the more frustrated Cardin became, and the more frantically he lashed out.
This led to Penny becoming disappointed that any semblance of a style had disappeared, and she decided to end the battle with a single punch to Cardin's gut, sending him out of bounds and knocking him out.
"Oops, I seem to have overdone it a bit.  I apologize." Penny said to Glynda Goodwitch.
"That was quite impressive, Ms. Polendina." Glynda complimented her back "You may return to your seat."

There were more battles in that class, though no one else challenged Penny after Cardin until the very last duel of the class, when Pyrrha decided to challenge Penny.  The battle ended up being declared a tie due to running out of time.
Though Pyrrha was faster and stronger by a little bit, none of her attacks could instantly pierce through Penny's aura, meaning that if the battle went on long enough, Pyrrha would have lost due to Penny's infinite aura and stamina.
Their second class was with Professor Peaches, and then they went to lunch, and after lunch they had a class with Doctor Oobleck.  Penny tried to absorb all the knowledge she could like a sponge.  She paid attention not only to the teachers, but also to the students, observing how everyone interacted with each other, and she had learn a lot from her observations.  By the end of the day, Penny had made an additional friend out of Velvet Scarlatina.

Team JNPR, RWBY, and FAMS all met up in JNPR's room about an hour before curfew "I'm sure you are all wondering why I asked you all to meet here" Jaune started to say to them.
"Because Penny is similar to Nexus?" Weiss asked.
Jaune was surprised when Weiss said that, and nodded in response "She is human now, too, just like Nexus.  I just wanted you all to have patience with her.  She hasn't had a lifetime to learn about human interactions, but she is a good person."
Neo giggled and shook her head a bit,  wondering how Jaune could sometimes miss things that were obvious to her.

Meanwhile, Penny and Velvet were in Team CFVY's room.  Since Velvet's teammates still hadn't returned from their long term mission, they had the room to themselves.
"So, what did you want to talk about, Penny?" Velvet asked with curiosity.
"You want Jaune to notice you, right?" Penny asked Velvet, causing Velvet to become embarrassed.
"I also want him to notice me as a woman." Penny told Velvet "So I propose we work together."
"It doesn't bother you that he has three girlfriends already?" Velvet asked Penny with surprise.
"Not at all.  I don't mind sharing him." Penny insisted "By the way, I think the number is four, not three.  So lets work together and get him to notice us, okay?"
After nervously chuckling  a bit, Velvet resolved herself and nodded "Okay, I'll do it."

Right off the bat, I am going to state that I will not start a new fanfic until at least one of the two I am already writing is finished.  That being said, I have two general story concepts I am leaning towards more then others, and want to get the fans opinions here.
Note that I will probably write both of these stories eventually, but just voting to see which people think should be written first.
Idea 1 : Adam d'Angelo is accidentally killed, caught in the backlash caused by a battle tween two deities.  The invading deity is repelled, but by then the damage is done, and the deity native to his Earth is unable to resurrect him, so he offers Adam Reincarnation in a world loosely based on the Pokemon Anime.
Adam is granted some wishes which he uses to create a powerful customized system and is reincarnated as Adam Oak, the younger (by 37 minutes) brother to Gary Oak.
Since the Kanto region is based on Japan, I will be modifying the laws of the region to reflect Japan better, meaning that the age of consent is technically 13 on paper, but other laws relating to corruption of a minor, essentially increases the age of consent to 16.  Trainers can get their first Pokemon and their trainers licence at 16 with parental consent or 18 without it.
Licensing days are held two times per year, not just with Professor Oak, but also at the various Gym's in the region, though the Pokemon they give away are not the same as the regional professors give away.
Anyway, Adam Oak would travel and build a harem while being really overpowered as hell.
Idea 2 : Main character is named Nathan Grey, and after dying in a normal Earth (Reason undetermined so far) he is offered transmigration into the world of the MCU with one power within reason since his human body wont not be able to handle too much power within it.
In order to grow truly mighty, the power he selects is to summon/control an avatar of the white phoenix of the crown in the form of a clone of Hope Summers.  Basically, he'd indirectly wield the Phoenix force through this avatar that he controlled, allowing his body to adapt over time and eventually directly fuse with it and control it.
The MC would appear about 8 years prior to the events of the first Iron Man movie and would bide his time until the movie events started, just focusing on adapting to his new powers.
Essentially, the mc would have the powers of the Phoenix force on a much reduced scale since his body still needs a lot more time to fully adapt ti the power, but eventually he'd directly be able to wield the Phoenix Force rather then needing to summon his Hope Summers doll to fight for him.
So those are my two ideas so far and putting them out there to see which one more people prefer.  I will post in the comments section twice and as which idea people prefer, and the one that gets the most likes will be my next story once I finish one of my two current stories.

Next month, for example, the power company is replacing our power lines and whatever the boxes are called that tracks our power use,, so I am not sure how long I'll be without power.

Notice : I do not own most of the characters that will be featured in this story.  This is a fanfic that I am writing for fun, and hope some will enjoy it.  I also do not own the image.

Sara woke up early in the morning. The world outside was still drenched in darkness. She took a look at the clock on the wall, it was 4:40 AM. The Resettlement Manifesto introduced a new way of reading time. Instead of following the old time from Earth, the new time would be told using the spot the Hope landed as the benchmark. Currently, it was spring on the new planet. The sun would rise when it was around 6:30 AM.
The stellar star of this system, commonly referred to as the sun out of habit, was a young star. At least according to the Academy’s observation, it would have no issue burning for another billion years. This information was released through the Hope Weekly so the public could carry on living without fear of sudden solar explosion, like what happened on the meteorite base.
It was definitely too early for Sara to wake up. This was because she was used to Earth’s time, so the sudden change in the time standard needed some getting used to. Even though this was already her fifth day on the new planet, she was still struggling with jet lag. She predicted she would need another 3 to 5 days to fully situate herself into this new time standard.
Then again, as the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. It was not so bad lying on the plush mattress taking in the fresh smell of dew and seawater in the early morning. It was a sensation she had not felt in a long time. She felt like she was still dreaming and was reluctant to wake up.
Sara was part of the first batch of human settlers. She was family to a hero medal recipient, which made her eligible for the selection according to the second rule. Luckily, she and her daughter were both selected. After taking shots of the Ultimate Vaccine, they were transported to the new planet. When the shuttle touched ground, she had a handle over her emotions, but her 9-year-old daughter, who left Earth when she was 3, lied down and rolled all over the field with gleeful cheers. She had spent 6 years on the Hope, so the only time she had seen greenies was in books, movies, or the rare occasion they were allowed on the biomes. These little brief contacts with nature couldn’t rival the real thing. She picked up a bunch of flowers to make a wreath and scooped up the brown earth in her palms. She then ran to Sara to ask her where the bathroom was. The whole scene made Sara break down in tears. And she wasn’t alone; most of the first batch human settlers knelt on the ground and started weeping tears of joy.
After that, Sara picked a rather compact villa as their residence. Unlike the villas which were meant for families with 3 generations, theirs was smaller in size even though it was similarly 3-storeys tall. It came with a lawn and a private garden. It was a building style Sara liked. A seaside villa like this would cost more than 100,000 US Dollars back on Earth.
The outside of the villa was designed beautifully. The private garden even came with a small vegetable patch. The lawn had access to an automated watering system, and beyond it was a miniature swimming pool. It also had a garage and an attached store. It was better than they expected.
The interior, though, was comparatively lackluster. The flooring was hardwood and there was no carpeting. The furniture was familiar-looking because they were moved there from the Hope. Everything had a mass-produced roughness to it. Basic amenities like a fridge, air-conditioners, and oven were available, and each villa was fitted two computers. This allowed the settlers to connect to the Hope’s main server to lodge opinions or request for aid whenever necessary.
In the 3 to 4 days after arrival, all the settlers, Sara included, were busy setting up their own homes. Details like moving the furniture, tossing out the unnecessary items, adding their personal touches, house-cleaning, and the likes took that long.
Today, Sara finally had the time to take a breather. This was the first time the alertness that was ever present since she got on the Hope was replaced by a sense of contentment.
"Honey, the government treats us very well, and they remember everything you did for is. They plan to build a Hero’s Mountain in the near future, a place to set up the Hall of Remembrance. Everything’s going well for me and our daughter; we’re now living on the new planet, but dear, I really miss you…"
On that perfectly fine morning, Sara suddenly thought of her husband that lost his life on Planet Sahara. Tears streamed out of her eyes, and she buried herself in the mattress so that she wouldn’t wake her daughter. Suddenly, a small hand reached out to touch her hair, she looked up immediately and saw her daughter in her pajamas staring back at her.
"Honey, what are you doing up so early? Are you hungry?" Sara hurriedly wiped her tears and pulled her daughter in for a hug.
The little girl turned her head up to look at her mother and said, with a smile, "Mom, your eyes are red. Didn’t you promise you wouldn’t cry again? Be nice and keep your promise, okay?"
Sara chuckled at her antics. Raised by her single mother, Penny Thompson was a precocious little girl. Even though she was only 9, she would help out around the house, and many times when Sara was feeling down, it was her daughter that cheered her up.
Sara patted her daughter lovingly on her head, adding, "Honey, what do you want to have for breakfast? How about a slice of cake with a sunny-side up? Plus a glass of hot milk."
Penny scrunched her nose, saying, "But I want fruits."
"Fruits?" Sara nodded. "There’s some oranges in the fridge, but don’t eat too many so early in the morning or you’ll get a cold. And remember to pour yourself a glass of milk. Go ahead, honey."
Penny shook her little head. "No, Mom, I want to eat those giant purple fruits, the kind that will dye your teeth and tongue purple after you eat it."
Sara knew what she was talking about instantly. Their new neighbor, a Chinese technician, invited them over for dinner yesterday. Since they could be decades-long neighbors, Sara brought a home-made cake to the dinner. Truth be told, Sara was afraid she or her daughter might not be used to the Chinese palette, but the dinner turned out to be more sumptuous than she predicted. Even though the man wasn’t really a good cook, the mother and daughter had their fill. After the cake dessert, the Chinese teen brought out a plate of sliced-fruit for them to taste. That was the purple fruit Penny was talking about.
This was one of the fruits native to the new planet. The Academy was working overtime to identity and categorize the new planet’s fruits and plants. This was one of the types they recommend. It was packed to the brim with nutrients and was harmless to those that had the vaccine injection. It also could help improve synapse formation in children, and thus was very recommended as a type of kid’s snacks.
The flesh of the fruit was sweet and juicy, kind of like a purple lychee. The only downside was that they were rather rare. At least until mass cultivation, these fruits could be only found by the fringe of the forest. Of course, there was bound to be more inside the forest, but common civilians were banned from entering the jungle without supervision for fear of beast attack. Therefore, these fruits still hadn’t reached the market; they were all hand-picked. The Defense Unit soldiers and certain technicians that worked around the city walls would have easier access to them.
Sara looked at Penny with a pained expression and said, "Honey, those fruits are very rare, so we can’t buy them yet… How about I get you some fresh oranges instead?"
Penny’s mouth turned down slightly, but she didn’t make a fuss. She nodded obediently and followed Sara to the kitchen. After a quick breakfast, she was her old, happy self again.
Penny said, "Mom, when do you think Uncle Liu Qing Yang will invite us over for chinese food again? He cooks so much better than mom, and I like the idea of having so many dishes to pair with a bowl of white rice."
Sara smiled inwardly and pinched her daughter on her nose. "Then how about mommy starts leaning how to cook chinese food from today onward? But Penny has to promise she’ll be mommy’s little helper in the kitchen, okay?"
Penny stood up in her chair and cheered. After Sara told her to sit back down, their doorbell rang. It was about 7 AM. The sun had risen, but it was still rather early; who would come knocking so early in the morning?
Sara felt her guard go up, but then if it was someone or something dangerous, the Defense Unit that had a 24 hour patrol would step in, so she quickly went to get the door.
The door opened to reveal a shy Liu Qing Yang, who stood on her doorstep with a box of purple fruits in his arm. For some reason, Sara felt her heart skip a beat…

It was a celebration, for the second day of a three-day celebration. Hehe watched the human in his arms as she looked around wide eye as other yokai headed back to the main house for day break, her heart fluttering faster and her body was getting stiffer. Fear was adamant. She jumped at a cat's yowl and Hehe and Ryukyu paused, as a very short yokai stalked up to them, "My, my, Hehe. I heard the rumors, but I didn't know they were true. May I see her?" Hehe looked to Penny, who turned scarlet and pushed from him, landing on her feet just fine, hiding her wound. The new yokai reached her chest height, with tan skin and hair. He reminded her of a cat, with markings on his eyes and face and he was covered in gold and jewels. His kimono was short with two tails poking out, she watched him wearily as he walked around her, "So they are true. Though I think native women would be too small for you, mmhmm? A larger foreign concubine could handle your size." The bakineko suddenly put his hand on her chest, feeling her though Hehe's kimono and Hehe felt her rage before she could, and saw her stiffen. She pulled back, and went to punch the sneaky yokai, but Hehe grabbed her before she could, "you pervert! First, fuck you!" she spat, "second of all, any man objectives me like you did would get his foot up his own ass. You touch me again, I'll –" it took Hehe a second longer to cover the spitting humans mouth as she was surprisingly strong, Hehe gave a deep bow, muttering something too low for penny to hear. The bakineko just smirked, as the human gave up and waited to be put back down. Eventually she was, and Baki have a small nod, "and what would your name be, love?" he then found manners and waited patiently as Penny composed herself, "Its Penny McCoy." She spat. He bowed, "good morning Penny, I am Baki Kiwa of the Kiwa facture. Welcome to my wedding celebration." She hummed, "congratulations then." He nodded his head in thanks, he then turned to Hehe, "I've had the liberty for your things to move to a larger guest room. I'll have food and drink brought in about an hour, if that sounds alright." Hehe bowed relieved, "yes, that sounds very welcoming. I thank you greatly." Baki nodded, though there was a hint of something behind his eyes, but he decided to move on. Hehe grabbed Penny's arm and started leading the way, almost picking her up off the ground. She didn't really mind since many other of the yokai looked at her hungrily, and Hehe wasn't actually hurting her, just acting rude. He found the room and walked in, sliding it after they came in. He seemingly relaxed down into the ground, highly stressed, It was a wide tami mat room with two privacy screens. There were kimonos for her and many decorated boxes on the other side. Penny looked beside her at Hehe who, after a second, stood back up and walked over to the boxes, he pulled out two beds and rolled them out, there was a dip in the floor and a dirt pit, with a hanging pot for cooking. She watched him take off more of his layers and setting the white mask she saw worn by him, "are you okay?" she asked, crossing her arms. Hehe was surprised at her question looking up at her, before nodding, "I am doing alright. It is just, trying to think of how to… protect you." He looked up at her with a small smile. She sighed, tugging her hair, "I would say I don't need it, but I don't know what world I'm in." she went to sit down by the smaller bed. "here." Hehe pushed a box towards her and she caught it, looking at him. He nodded to it, "it's from Baki. It's a present. Along with those kimonos if you want to change out of your clothes now. I can have someone come and help you change if you like." She looked up at him a bit strange, but shook her head no, "I don't want to now." She looked down at her hands as he went behind the privacy screen. There was a knock at the door, and Penny looked up then to the privacy screen, "Come in." it opened and two cat yokai maids came in and set small tables near the pit with food on them. One started a fire and started a kettle on the fire to make tea. The bowed before the left quietly She waited patiently as Hehe came back around the screen with folded kimonos. She still had his on and waited a second before noticing her. He gave a small smile before sitting down in front of his food. He looked at what was for eating and put his hands together before starting to eat. Penny saw a bowl of white rice, cooked fish, raw fish, seaweed, cooked bamboo and miso soup. She picked up the white rice and gentle ate before setting it down, looking off into the fire, "not hungry?" she looked up with a hum, before shaking her head, "No. not quite." She sighed, looking down at her food. Hehe knelt up and bent over, pouring a cup Penny of tea and handing it to her, penny accepted it with one hand and he then poured his own, sipping at it. Penny tried to drink the tea but found it too hot and set it down in front of her, "thanks." She grew quiet again. 
 She at a bit of the cooked fish before finding she was done, sitting quietly in thought. "You know, just earlier you were so quiet to loudly threaten the head of a clan, and now you are quiet as an owl." He had a small smirk but she just shrugged, "Its… a lot to take in." he nodded, standing up, picking up his plate and then hers and walking to the door, opening it and setting the tables outside. He turned and started back over, sitting down and pouring his tea again and penny sipped at her cooled tea, "Tell me about your home." He hummed, and she looked up at him, "I'm sorry?" "Well, you look different than any native I've known. You're tan and your hair Is almost yellow and its wavy." She had her hand to her hair, feeling it, "Its… different. It's an old historical town, so people go for its charm, ya'know. Beaches, horse drawn carriages, museums. Things like that. I can surf and… run a tour. I spent a lot of time outside, so that's why my skin is to tan and hair sun bleached blond." She explained, and Hehe nodded, though a tad confused, "So if I spend time in the sun, my hair will yellow?" she smirked, smiling, "I don't know. Its already so light, it just may brighten it in streaks. If you want it blond why not go to a human hairdresser?" he turned his head, "what do you mean?" he messed with his long hair, though it was dark brown. It reminded Penny of thick rabbit fur, just by how fluffy his long hair was. "Humans have made things that lighten and yellow hair, darken it brown or black, even color it a strange colors." He hummed, nodding his head, he noticed her tea was empty and went to fill it and she declines, "I'm not a super huge fan of hot tea, but thank you." He set the kettle back down and noticed her clothes again, "I can explain how to change your clothes if you like. So, you can change." She turned and looked at the folded kimonos, before sighing getting up. She folded out the kimonos and Hehe stood up walking up to her, "Alright. You are going to put this on first, "he pulled a thin white kimono, "then this and this one." He pulled out a red kimono and a black kimono, she nodded and took it, ducked behind the screen. It took her a few minutes before she figured out and came back around, with her human clothes and HeHe's kimono. He turned and looked at her, nodding in approval but hid a small smirk. He then shook his head and walked over to her, "I'm sorry, its folded wrong." He quickly switched her folds of her outer kimono and tying an obi around her in a simple knot. He then put his large kimono on her before pulling out a large furry scarf which he wore earlier, "what's this?" "it was mine. Or is. I'm letting you wear it. Or I would like you to wear it." he stumbled on his words, but she took it and almost shoved her face on impulse in it as it was long white fur, "why?" she humbled through it, "It has my scent on it. It will let other know that you're protected." He took her American clothes and set them by his old ones for washing. She hummed sitting back down wrapped in the scarf.  Hehe sat down as well and looked out to paper screen and saw the sun start to rise, "it's time to head to bed. Would you like anything to drink before you do? Water?" She shook her head, looking at the bed. Hehe fixed the fire, so it burned lower before heading to bed himself. 
 Hehe woke up with a dull throbbing him the back of his head and sat up, looking directly over to the empty bed of the human. He jumped out of the futon and to the door, flinging it open. He naturally walked quietly around the hallways, following the smell of blood and the scent of human as he came to the kneeling Penny with a nose bleed, holding her head, "Penny." He knelt, putting a hand on her shoulder. She lashed out at him, smacking his hand back. He smelt tears and her body shook from a sob, again, something that surprised him, "I-I-I was just trying to find the bathroom." She whispered, "I didn't want to wake you and ask." holding her head. HeHe shooed her, picking her up gently, "let's go then. You passed it just a little way." she moved to block her nose bleed, pitching her nose and pulling her head back and HeHe took her out to a small room, "you're good?" she nodded, shoving off of him and landing on her feet again, her nose still bleeding, "I'm good." She opened the door and walked into the rural bathroom. Once she came back out, Hehe was leaning against a pole, he turned to her and nodded his head for her to follow him. He took her deeper into the main house, and eventually opened a door for her and she walked into the modern kitchen where female cat yokai turned to look at her and they all backed away and through a door. She went and washed her hands in the sink while Hehe opened a few cabinets and pulled out rolls of cloth preserved food. He pulled out two small rolls and sat down at a small tale and motioned for her to so. She did and he laid out the rolls of cloth, unwrapping one. It looked like a strange doughnut but smelled of something nutty, walnut-y almost. "what is it?" "it's called Kuri. it has walnuts in it. Try it." He took a bit of his and she then did, trying it. It was like a cake, with the flavor of chestnuts. She took another bite, nodding, "it's very good. Different, but good." She smiled lightly. "Would you like some tea?" she jumped as a familiar voice sounded behind her and stood up as a cup and tea pot pouring tea was over her shoulder, she turned, seeing Baki, with his stuck grin and accessories, "n-no, thank you." She gave an awkward shake of her head, but he set two cups on the table for them, before setting the pot back, he walked over to the modern fridge and pulled out a modern wine bottle, "how about something stronger?" Penny was confused at his modern appliances, as so far everything was very rural, "Why do you have that?" he purred, unwrapping the top, "well, you see, I have six wives. Strange, I now for a westerner. One of them is a rather youthful, and spirited human. Would you like to meet her? Her name is San. I think you'd get along very well with her." he found some wine glasses, "because she's human?" Penny asked, "No, because I'm sure the idea of you attempting to hit me will bring a nice smile on both your mouths." He chuckled, "San also has a taste for foreign alcohol, I think this one would be very nice, Cheval Blanc 1947 St-Emilion." She looked wide eyed at the yokai, looking between him and Hehe, "You're kidding." The cat shook his head, "of course not." He set the items on the counter, "though, we can wait a few minutes. I think San is watching a movie currently. I have a gift for you." He suddenly appeared next to her, too fast for her eyes to watch and she jerked surprised as he grabbed her right hand, putting a ring on her finger. "Baki." Hehe stood up and went to grab Penny, who was pulled away by the cat yokai. Hehe did not look happy, and even though the cat yokai was smaller, much smaller than even her, he easily carried her back, "Relax, friend. Do you think I would hurt your new friend? How rare is it for you to find a woman?" "I aint his." Penny muttered, though a bit dizzy by Baki taking her too fast to different places in the room as Hehe watched closely, waiting for an opportunity. Eventually, Hehe paused and Baki took her hand in his, "I know. I apologize." Baki kissed her hand gentle, and she couldn't help but blush and pull from him. Hehe taking the opportunity and grabbing her, pulling her to him. "let me see." He took her hand and pulled it close to his face, it was a iridescent ring, with a scale like pattern and a fiery stone eye. He looked up at the grinning Neko, "does she look hurt?" he jumped onto Hehe's shoulder, and kneeling down to Penny's hand, seeing no harm, "If she does, then take it off. But it told me to give it to her." he jumped off Hehe's shoulder and grabbed the wine bottle and glasses, "now, shall we introduce you two?" he turned and went out, not waiting for a answer. 
 San was young, about 18. She was though, as Penny expected. Youthful, bubbly, and asking many questions, though they were all normal. Even getting Penny to braid her hair as they drank wine and watched a film, "told you, they'd get along." Hehe and Baki were watching on their ward and wife as they interacted, Penny seemingly loosing up a tad with the help of the wine and human companion, "I'm still worried about her." HeHe crossed his arms, watching them from the open rafters of the room. San knew they were there, Baki knew this too, but Penny was blissfully unaware. Baki poured himself a glass of sake and then offered one to Hehe, who took it with both his hands, "It's going to be hard for her, you understand? Even San is having some trouble adjusting, and she is a native and got to know me before understanding all this. While Penny is in a new culture, new world, new life. Things she probably never believed to be real are real and now she is in a world of them, not by her chose I mind you." "Don't think I don't know that. but what choice did I have? Let some lower yokai eat her alive or use her for his imagination." Hehe growled, taking a sip of his sake, "no, my friend. I stand by your decision being the better one. Once Inugumi bit her, she could never escape." He took a sip of his drink. The neko turned to look at the monkey yokai, "Do you plan on making her your bride? Your elders have been hounding every ally to send women fit for marriage and children bearing." Hehe snorted, rolling his eyes, "Of course they have. And your response?" "No." Hehe nodded, as a way of thanks, "For Penny… no. I don't think that would be beneficial right now. I just want to make her life comfortable. Humans do not live long, so even if she stays healthy, she'll die within a hundred years." He thought out loud, "But I'll have a word with my elders." He leaned back, closing his eyes, as neko watched the two women. "Would you though?" "Would I what?" "If you knew she would not say no, would you make her your wife?" Hehe looked between the cat who grinning knowingly and the human women under them, before feeling his face turning a slight red, "I would never force her into something of the like. Why did you give her that ring? I could burn her alive any second." Hehe changed the subject quickly and the neko smiled, "Tt told me. Plain and simple. It rarely speaks, so I don't think she'll ever hear it. I just do as I am told, a slave to my possessions." He purred, standing up on the beam and walking back along it.

Penny was a traveling artist, who's first trip to Japan ended in a bite. Now she's in a bond and in a world of yokai. Can she get free, or will she be captive in that world?
