It was a dark, cold surface. The feeling of cold marble rubbed against my cheek as I open my eyes to see a man stabbing my mother as my father laid there with his tongue cut out.

Mom! Dad! I try to stand up as I hear the blood splash everywhere and the murderer smiling proud of what he had done to my parents.

The killer noticed me, turning around as he gives me a ghoulish smirk, he stood crooked and bent smiling into me, smiling into my soul.

"You know it's your fault you should have listened." He got closer and whispered these words...

My eyes open as I see a bright light and white ceiling I do not remember.

"Huh? Where am I? What is this place?" I wake up from my sleep. Having no memory of what happened...

I felt the soft mattress and the smell of alcohol in the air. This is a hospital... what am I doing here...

I look over to the window seeing a woman who is wearing a police uniform, looking in the window, the amber-colored sunlight touching her face.

"Hello. Excuse me but why am I here?" I ask the woman. She turned around shocked and very glad.

"Oh my god! Jonathan! You are finally awake. She would cover her mouth in excitement.

"Jonathan... is that my name?" I say timidly.

Jonathan... that's my name... what's going on around here? Who is she...

"Ugh... The doctor warned us about you having a bit of amnesia or memory loss due to your head injury when you tried to apprehend the Death Grin Killer..." She sighed.

"What? What do you mean apprehend?" I ask her confused at what she is talking about.

"You are a detective named Jonathan Summers. I call you detective Summers and we were both investigating the series of murders involving the Death Grin Killer however the next time I saw you. You were in very bad condition and had a really bad head injury. You were in a coma for two weeks but I'm glad you are awake now. The woman hands me my police badge and a phone.

"Oh.. thank you..." I put down the phone and police badge on the table beside my bed.

"I should really inform the doctors that you woke up. I'll be right back." The woman opened the door and left.

I grabbed the police badge and fiddle with it... So... I'm a detective... that's interesting.. It's like I'm a new person...

Ow... I massage my head as I feel it pounding in pain.

The door opens with a doctor and the same woman from before.

"Hello, Mr. Summers. Are you feeling any better?" The doctor asks me as he seems to be writing down something.

"I feel fine.... although I feel my head pounding a bit... and my back is killing me," I say to him.

He nodded and wrote down whatever I said. 

"When we found you. You were in very bad shape. You had injuries everywhere, I'm surprised you even managed to stay alive. Anyways due to a brain injury. I can conclude you have retrograde amnesia." The doctor tells me.

"Can he get his memories back?" The woman asks the doctor.

"Actually I'm not sure... it can be permanent, temporary or it can get worst as time goes by that's why we'll have to observe him for a while, in the meantime. Give him some time to rest." The doctor answered the woman.

"So does that mean he won't be able to investigate with me anymore since he doesn't know what to do now?" The woman asks pouting and sad.

"Not necessarily. You see retrograde amnesia usually involves the facts, not the skills. For example if Mr. Summers is a black belt in karate then he would still be a black belt however he would have no recollection of how he got it and who taught him." The doctor explained.

"That's a relief... I guess it's a bit selfish to say this but I really need you, Detective Summers." The woman grabs my hand. "Since I won't be able to solve the Death Grin Killer murders without you. So I hope you get well soon. I'll stay here for you." She smiled.

"Alright then I'll leave you two so he can rest." The doctor walked out of the room. Leaving only the woman and me inside.

"Where... where is my family?" I ask her faintly.

Her expression turns sad. "Your mother and father died in the hands of a serial killer when you were little... I know it's a bit wrong to tell you that since you just woke up but ya... so the chief adopted you."

"Where is the chief?" I ask her.

"Oh.. he's busy actually... He has been investigating the Death Grin Killer ever since he found out that you were almost killed by him so he asked me to stay here since we were partners and all." She smiled.

"What's your name... you've been talking this whole time and I still don't your name," I asked her.

"Oh! Haha! Right! I'm Tammy Evergreen! You usually call me Assistant Detective Evergreen." She gets all giddy and excited laughing. 

I grab the phone from beside the table and as I opened it... It appeared... it asked for a password...  Password... what's the password... maybe she knows?

"Hey.. do you know the password to my phone?" I ask her about showing it.

"Hm? Oh sorry, I actually don't know what's your password... perhaps your girlfriend knows?" She said to me.

"Okay!" Upon hearing this exciting new evidence, Xiao Zhang stood up and took his jacket. He told Zhao Yu, "Police Officer Zhao, please sit here for a while. You can leave after the approval from my higher ups is given! Meanwhile, I need to get some work done!"
Then, remembering to mind his manners, Xiao Zhang quickly gestured a female police officer to come forward. "Jinmei, please take care of Police Officer Zhao. We need to head out for an arrest!"
Xiao Zhang and the police detectives then left. In the blink of an eye, there was only Zhao Yu remaining, along with the young female police detective."
"Police officer…" The female police detective had heard rumors about Zhao Yu, who was a gangster among the police detectives. She looked unusually nervous. "Do you need anything? I could get you a cup of coffee? Or, maybe you would like a smoke?"
However, Zhao Yu didn't even look up, but kept reading the information that Xiao Zhang had passed to him. Apparently, Le Chao wasn't a professional killer, but was, instead, a Yunzhou policeman! And, according to the record, he received over a dozen honorary medals. Hence, he was an outstanding policeman!
But, four years ago, due to his misconduct in a case, which had led to a criminal's death, he had been suspended. Later on, for some unknown reason, Le Chao was punished for his actions. He then left the police team.

The female police officer named Jinmei saw that Zhao Yu was ignoring her, so she wanted to leave. However, Zhao Yu suddenly asked her, "Hey junior, do you think your Captain Zhang has got the right person?"
"Huh? What?!" The female police officer was stunned. She then nervously asked, "What did you say?"
"I mean, the person that contracted this killing, do you believe that it is really Ai Lili?" Zhao Yu shook his head and said. "From what I can see, the mastermind behind this must be someone else!"

Jinmei stuttered a bit, as she was so nervous. Zhao Yu remained silence, listening. I was thinking that, if Ai Lili felt threatened, it might have pushed her to take such an extreme measure."
"No, no, no…" Zhao Yu shook his head and smiled. We have Feng Mimi to thank for giving us such a great opportunity like this. She suddenly took a leave much to the Director's disappointment" She replied. "Really wow then it worked out well. eat as much as you like dear. all this run ng around has made you skinnier, if mother and father-in- law see you they would accuse me of not feeding you well" he said. "Okay, bon appetit" she said and dived in. After dinner they moved over to the sitting room. Jung jianguo was seated on the couch with his hands wrapped around Xue Meili. The Television was turned on, they were currently watching a late night show when she broke the silence "How was the dinner with Director Ma" she said lifting up her face to look up at him. "good she brought over a script for a new movie that she would be directing. It's a crime thriller About a detective trying to capture a serial killer after he captures the teenage daughter of a politician. It's a dual role as the serial killer and the detective are one person. It is a case of split personality where the detective isn't aware of his other personality. She offered me the dual role of the detective and the serial killer" he replied his lips twisting into a smile. Xue Meili had no idea how cute she looked in her present position. She looked just like a cute little bunny. "Wow that's wonderful. So are you going to play the role or not" she said smiling widely. Director Ma was an award winning director known for directing top notch projects. She hardly ever directed series only movies. She was a crowd favorite, her movies always had good bow office results. She hardly ever directed romantic movies. The fact that Jung jianguo was invited to take part in this project was a very good news. Director Ma never bent to social convention, she only worked with the best. "What do you think? he said with his eyebrows raised. "When will you start shooting" she said. "In two months time. We will be filming at B city, the rest of the cast will start shooting in a months time and I will join them as soon as am done shooting Fated" he said. "if everything goes well we will be done in a months time. Director Ma is a talented director I suspect that she would submit this movie for the International film festival. Congratulations darling you did well" she said moving forward until she was now lying on top. Cupping her face he dived in for a kiss. Their tongues were still engaged in a well matched fight for supremacy when the news announcer's words brought them back to reality. "The evening the Osong group shares dropped after a scandal broke involving a member of The Xiao family. The scandal involves Gu Chuanli the adoptive son of the Xiao family. The scandal broke when pictures of Him Chuanli kissing a heavily pregnant woman in a restaurant.surfaced. Gu Chuanli 36 is married to Cheng Ruolan eldest daughter of the Cheng family and eldest sister of the CEO of Star entertainment Cheng Juan. The couple has been married for four years without a child. On investigation it was discovered that Gu Chuanli and the pregnant women already had a three years old daughter. Osong group hasn't issued any  statement but speculation has been going round. Especially since  Gu Chuanli was accused of using paper shares to influence decision in Osong group. A warrant has already been issued for his arrest and an investigation has been lunched" A sweet sounding but firm female voice belonging to the female news announcer said. "What isn't that elder sister Roulan husband" Xue Meili said looking up surprised. "Yes it is" Jung jianguo replied. "What how did it get to this. I will give Fenfeng a call" she said sitting up and picking up her phone from the table. Tang Fenfeng picked at the first ring and after she raised up the conversation, let her know that they were already aware of the situation. They had also been listening to the news. After some a few minutes Xue Meili cut the call as Ran Fenfeng had already informed her that She and Cheng Juan was headed to Cheng residence to talk with the elders and decide on the next course of action.

The ORPO officer at the desk hands me a form with my personal details typed all over it. 

"Your name is Tensei von Amsterg." the officer states in a bored voice, "Confirm your name and other details. Sign beneath your statement that has been attached as an appendix."

I check my personal details and the statement the officer had typed out based on what I dictated to him. Everything seems to be in order. I pick up the pen offered by the officer and sign in the box marked "WITNESS". The ORPO officer accepts the documents in silence and brings out a brown file where the statement is dropped into. He then continues typing into his computer without paying any further attention to me. 

"I'll never forgive Nicholas for this." I whisper to myself while settling on to the old seat smelling strongly of tobacco. I hear the noise of the printer on the officer's desk begin spooling up before it spits out another document for the case file. Updated investigation journal. That's what the heading on the new document says at any rate. The officer opens a drawer and retrieves a stamp, bringing it down on the sheet of paper with a thump. 

"Mmhmm. You do that Mr von Amsterg." the ORPO officer answers indifferently as he starts sorting through the file in front of me. I begin to shift about restlessly. I should be out there, looking for Nicholas, not staying here at ORPO HQ putting up with a detective that clearly couldn't care less about Irene being dead. What is there to detect? Nicholas did it. Its as clear as day. Why are we wasting time here?

Irene doesn't need paperwork typed up in her name. Her memory needs, no demands, justice.

While I ruminate, stewing in my impatience, a leathery, mustachioed man emerges from deeper within the office and walks right up to the detective handling Irene's case. The mustachioed man gives me a significant look but says nothing, choosing instead to fish out a cigar from his pocket and begins lighting up. I tap my fingers with agitated fervor against the detective's desk as he takes his own sweet time leafing through the file. The mustachioed man smirks at me and extends his hand in greeting. 

"Commander Hernandez." the man says, "Sorry for your loss. "

I shake the proffered hand and ask pointedly, "Commander, am I still needed here?"

Instead of answering me, Hernandez turns to the detective, "You are compiling the statements from all the other witnesses right?" The officer nods briefly and goes back to typing at his computer. Hernandez bends down and looks at the screen. 

"Alright. Let's do this quickly then." Hernandez instructs, "I got the suspect held in remand right now. Let's get it over with."

My ears prick up at Hernandez's comment. They got the suspect already? 

"You have Nicholas?" I question eagerly. Wonderful, wonderful. If I can settle things right now with him, that would really be for the best. Blood calls for blood. 

"No. The suspect who kidnapped your wife." Hernandez explains to me. 

"Which is Nicholas." I reiterate. 

Hernandez rubs his face in exasperation, "The person in the gas mask. That guy. Who attacked you. Kidnapped your wife. Beat up a small army's worth of your Uncle's guards. And beheaded your childhood tutor. Got it?"

"Nicholas." no its not, but it is. Right? Yes. Nicholas is the only one that matters. I must fight Nicholas. I must kill Nicholas. My head hurts, making it easy to think. No wait, I can't think. I shouldn't think. Just go with the flow. Go with Nicholas. 

Nicholas. 

"No he's not Nicholas." Hernandez grits out, "Come on, get your head on straight." Hernandez then runs through my written statement and points out a series of paragraphs to me. 

"That guy. That guy you're referring to in these paragraphs. You got it?" Hernandez waives the statement in my face. 

I nod in the affirmative. Of course I got it. Its all linked to Nicholas at the end of the day. Hernandez gives me a dubious expression before sighing. The detective looks up from the computer and reports to the Commander. 

"All done here Commander. We can move on with the ID Parade." the detective says. 

"Yeah." Hernandez stifles a yawn, "I've been there the whole morning. This is going to be the sixth witness, you know? We still have around thirty minutes on the clock for the suspect's remand. After that we will have to release him. So chop chop."

Hernandez tiredly gestures at me and I get up from my seat, falling in behind him. The detective settles into a relaxed stride by my side and the three of us wander down the fluorescent lit hallways of the ORPO HQ with its cracking plaster and oddly subdued ambiance.  In the background are officers typing away at their desks. Some squads are preparing to sally forth on their bikes or patrol cars. 

"You saw the videos?" Hernandez suddenly blurts out to the detective, "Every single one of them is like that."

The detective answers, "Yeah. You don't think -" but Hernandez quickly shakes his head and the detective promptly shuts up. Soon enough, we make it to a darkened room divided in two by a glass partition. The detective goes to shut the door, while Hernandez begins speaking into an intercom installed into the wall. 

"Alright. Last one for the day." Hernandez says, "Bring them out." The sound of a buzzer is heard and a group of five men, each wearing a black trench coat, file out into the other side of the room. 

"Face the mirror." Hernandez instructs through the intercom, "and one by one step forward and shout 'I object'."

The group of men straightens out into a line and as ordered step forward one at a time, shouting the words Hernandez told them to. Their voices are piped into our side of the room, letting us hear what they are saying. 

Hernandez regards me evenly, "Alright. You had a front row seat when the attack went down. Which one of these guys kidnapped Irene Scott?"

I cast my eyes across the motley group before me, irritation raising its ugly head once more. Why are we wasting time? Time that could be used to storm that yacht Nicholas hides himself in. Do we even need an investigation done at this point?

"None of them are Nicholas." I answer flatly. 

"The guy who kidnapped your wife." Hernandez snaps, "For crying out loud, will you stop talking about Nicholas for just one second?"

"Nicholas kidnapped Irene." I point out, very correctly I must say. The quality of policing has gone down the drain ever since SOPO got dissolved. 

"Fine. You know what?" Hernandez glares at me critically, "Identify the man who attacked you with a gas grenade and shot at you with dual wielded rifles. Can you do that?" 

Oh that's simple. He may have been wearing a gas mask during the attack, but I would recognize Gallant's over enthusiastic, slightly deranged voice anywhere. And Gallant is standing right there in the ID parade, second from the left. 

"Sure. Its that guy over there." I answer, my hand pointing to the rightmost man. I try to shift my arm about, but the limb revolts against me, refusing to budge an inch. 

"You sure?" the detective asks for confirmation. Hernandez scrunches his face up in an unhappy and somewhat fearful look. Sweat beads my face as I redouble my efforts at bringing my arm back under control. 

"Yes. That guy. Over there." I say, my finger jabbing accusingly at the rightmost man. Why in the world is it doing that? I clench my fist and finally manage to force my right arm down towards my side, groaning from the effort.

"You OK there?" Hernandez queries, chewing on his cigar nervously. No I'm not. What's wrong with me? Why can't I do this simple thing? Whenever I try to lift my arm to point at Gallant, my shoulder just locks up painfully in disapproval. But I'm not done just yet. If my arm won't cooperate, then I'll just call out Gallant by his name. But a bolt of pain lances through my brain, setting it on fire. My throat closes up and no words come from my mouth. Can't think. No, I shouldn't think at all. My traitorous right arm springs back into action, pointing at the rightmost man again. 

"That one. That one." the words drone from my mouth, like a song set on repeat. 

"Alright fine." Hernandez finally manages to grunt after a long silence before going back to the intercom, "We're done here for the day. Take them back to the lockup." The suspects file back out of the room in silence, but I realize one of them is flashing a smile at me. 

Gallant. He knows what is going on with my body. I want to shout, tell him to stop right there. To explain himself before everyone. 

But why bother? 

He's not Nicholas after all.

Looking through the covers revealed they were all part of the same series which Luna translated as 'The Globulous Adventures of Nathalie Tangai, Private Incinerator'. Just looking at the title, he was able to fix two words for Luna's dialect. After they ate dinner, he didn't waste time and started to read the series. 

Nathalie Tangai was a young private investigator living alone with her magical cat Salami who had the ability to turn into a tiger when faced with danger. One day, she received a letter informing her that her uncle Maximilian had passed away and left her a manor. Obviously, the place was haunted so she had to perform an exorcism with the help of an alcoholic priest. 


Once the place was safe, she discovered the manor was once the headquarters of an evil cult wearing penguins masks. That's when the main antagonist made his entry, a man going by the name of 'Baron Viktor', a master of disguises whose goal was to access some ancient documents leading to a mythical treasure hidden in the manor. Nathalie had the brilliant idea to memorize all the documents thanks to her genius intellect and burned them all once she was done.


The series then turned into a bizarre murder mysteries series as Nathalie traveled around the world to look for the treasure while Viktor kept chasing her in a new disguise every adventure while always committing murder for some dumb reason. For example, one case had Viktor disguised as a snake charmer and he murdered a sailor with a tankard, to have the local innkeeper accused of the murder. However, Nathalie proved he had used the tamed snake to smash the sailor with the tankard in question. 

Halfway through the series, a major twist happened in the story: Viktor was revealed to be her long lost twin brother who was kidnapped as an infant by the cult. When he realized it, he saved her life by protecting her from the evil Penguin Lord Nico who was the true main villain and died in the process. 

Heartbroken, Nathalie took possession of the treasure, which turned out to be a time machine. She used it to go back in time and prevent her brother's kidnapping. This created an alternate reality that soft rebooted the series as Nathalie & Viktor started a detective agency together in that timeline. 

The rebooted series involved them traveling around the world and solving ridiculous cases against all odds. If you thought the snake charmer story was ridiculous, it was nothing to what transpired in the second half of the series. The finale of the series took them on a rocket ship patrolling around the moon to face the penguin cult and their master, Lord Nico. Nathalie defeated him by feeding him bagels for some reason. The story ended with the siblings going back on their planet but along the way got absorbed by a vortex leading them to another dimension and therefore, new adventures. 

Joshua didn't know this, but it should come to a surprise to no one those new adventures never came, the series which had been losing steam since the 'reboot' actually got canceled. 

As you might have guessed from this little summary of the 'plot', this series was probably written by either someone on drugs, someone badly advised by their editor or someone even crazier than Joshua. It must, therefore, not be a surprise to you that Joshua loved every freaking moment of this utter nonsensical plot and even cried several times. 
In any case, reading the series took a good part of the night, he could have sped up with Luna's help but he was having so much fun with this dumb series he just relaxed and enjoyed the ride. He didn't neglect his main objective, mind you. His knowledge of Easan was making great progress. 

In the meantime, Catherine had a similar idea to help improve Luna's knowledge of the language. She entered the recreational room, picked a random board game box and looked for the manual. The game was a bizarre variation of chess and there were illustrations on how the several pieces were allowed to move. She managed to establish a basic set of rules with Luna's help and played a round against Lydia. Some parts didn't seem right so she made a few adjustments. They repeated the process until they got a game that mostly made sense before moving on to another game. That one turned out to be some variation on Monopoly so apart from Joshua, who was busy reading the comics,  everyone joined in for the game. While some rules had to be improvised, they did have fun. Considering the nature of the mission, this moment of relaxation was pretty beneficial to the party's morale. There were a few other games but by the time they were done with their current round, it was close to midnight so the group decided to call it for the night. 

The next few days passed by quickly, Catherine and Joshua spent their time improving their vocabulary slowly increasing the difficulty of the material. After running out of board games and recipes, they moved on to individual documents. Most of them were still too complicated, but they picked up a word here and there. One day, The twins stumbled upon a couple of novels of various genres which was a blessing for them. Catherine wasn't very interested in those fictional stories so she let Joshua handle them while she continued to read documents. 

The first book was a horror novel involving a horrible monster killing people in terrible ways. While Joshua found it lackluster, mainly cause the protagonists were all morons who kept splitting up, he had to admit it was pretty useful to learn how to translate various causes of death. Have you ever wondered how one said: 'Thrown into a giant spaghetti machine, torn apart and served to unsuspecting restaurant clients' in Easan? Well, neither had Joshua but now he knew how to say it. Ultimately, the monster was revealed to be vulnerable to soap and was tricked to enter a washing machine where he got locked in and dissolved. He wondered if this was some kind of hidden marketing ploy to boost the sales of washing machines. Anyway, he didn't linger on it too much and moved on. 

The next one he picked up turned out to be an erotica novel. Obviously, it was terribly written. Regardless, he read it, after all, considering half the text consisted of 2 people alternating yelling 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAH' it was fairly easy to follow. Actually, this one was more instructive than the horror novel, as it greatly helped him identify the word referring to certain body parts. His method of figuring them out was quite pragmatic, considering what happened to each part, he just had to figure out what was possible and what wasn't. Joshua, who had been so moved reading that dumb comic, finished the novel in one go, his expression remaining stoic all the time. He was glad when he finished it, in a sense that novel was so bad it was more disturbing than the horror one. 

In any case, he finished story after story. Despite the bad luck he had with the first two, some of the books were actually pretty good. His favorite book was the story of a young baker going on a quest to create the greatest bread recipe ever. By the time he was done with all of them, his level in Easan was pretty good and it was time to resume his research. 

He checked Luna's database and brought for the book about runes he had tried to read before and was glad to see the system was able to translate most of it this time. Therefore, he headed back to the library. He could try to make the rune that had exploded in his face again, but he preferred to check for safer models first, that one was still only half translated. He found a couple of purely theoretical books and while they were hard to understand, he still learned from them. Even with Luna's help, it took him two days to read all the books present but when he was done, he felt like he was ready to accomplish wonders. 

Well either that or he would accidentally cause a massive amount of destruction.

After dying, our main character found himself summoned by a young woman. She comes from a long line of summoners and had expected to partner up with a powerful being, like the rest of her family. Instead, she summoned a computer programmer, who from now on will be living inside her head. Powerless, he's unable to help her with the upcoming war. Disappointed that neither of them had been blessed by fate with some divine abilities, he decides to build a computer system inside her head himself.

Today is November 2nd, 2019, and I have decided to begin writing my own novel. In particular, this is an auto biography meant for me to remember my own life in the years to come.

I woke up today at around 8AM, however I was too lazy to actually get up. I looked to my right and grabbed my phone off of my nightstand. There I began watching watching some youtube videos and periodically checking my discord server.

I forgot to mention in my prologue but I have a profound interest in technology. I spend my freetime researching computer hardware and mobile devices, and run a tech discord server online. I won't go into details as I would prefer to stay anonymous, but I help people build computers and enjoy watching videos on new product releases, tutorials, unboxings, etc...

So I continued to watch youtube and check discord for around an hour. 

I actually got up at around 9AM. I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, and got ready for the overall tasks of the day. 

First and foremost, I had a singular physics homework problem to finish up. I had done all my physics homework the night before except for that problem, as I had gone to church on Friday night for All Saints Day and did not have time to finish it. I didn't want to worry about it when I had came home since it would be rather late, so I saved it for Saturday.

I looked at the physics problem, and at first I was rather confused. It asked me to find the period and velocity of a satellite circling the moon when given the mass of the moon, the moon's radius, and the distance the satellite was from the moon.

It was then that it clicked in my head that first I would need to find the acceleration of gravity on the moon. In order to do this, I plugged the values I had into the formula g = (GM)/r^2. In this case, G is a constant always being 6.67 * 10^-11 (N*m^2)/kg^2. The M was just the total mass of the moon given, and the r was just distance of the satellite from the moon.

After finding the acceleration of the gravity, or g, to find the velocity all I had to do was plug that value into the formula g = (v^2)/r. This is possible because the question has specified it was a circular orbit.

I then had to do the same thing to find the period, however replacing v with (2πr)/T, where T is the period and solving as a normal equation.

After finishing this problem, I was somewhat confident but rather confused as I hadn't used the radius of the moon at all. I contacted my older brother and asked him to check my work. He was dissapointed because the total radius was not just the distance of the satelite from the moon, but the distance + the moon's radius. This clicked and it made sense. I re did the calculations and now I'm rather sure I have the correct answer and understand the concept.

After finishing this problem, it was probably around 9:30 and I realized I had awakened abnormally early for just this problem. I was expecting it to take longer but it didn't, and I was fully dressed as if I was going out. 

However, I had no plans for the day. I honestly didn't know what to do and settled for eating some of this refridgerated banana cake my mother had brought home from work the previous day.

After finishing the cake, I was relatively bored and decided to check for the day's anime episode releases. At the moment I am currently watching around 6 or so ongoing series, and it just so happens a lot of them come out on Saturday.

I first checked Detective Conan, but no new episode had been released. I then noticed a new Sword Art Online III second season episode had been released and watched it. It was okay, but SAO is surely not my favorite series, just something to pass the time.

I then watched a few episodes of goblin slayer, a small, finished series that I had recently started watching. Overall, I spent a few hours just watching these shows and before I knew it the clock read 12:30.

I then got up and walked to the kitchen. I began looking for something to eat for lunch. I found one of those cheap one-meal containers of Kraft macaroni and cheese. I honestly am not a fan of these, but it was the best thing I found and I wasn't planning on being greedy with lunch today.

I heated it up in the microwave and ate it. It actually wasn't that bad despite the fake powdered cheese it uses.

I then set my phone down to charge. It was around one or two o'clock at this point. Recently I updated my phone to android Pie, or android version 9.0. Ever since, I've noticed severely decreased battery life. I have an LG V30 at the moment and before the software update I was getting 7-9 hours screen on time. However, since the update, I was constantly only getting around 5 or so hours of screen on time. It's unfortunate but oh well I guess.

While my phone was charging, I practiced playing some piano. I have played piano for quite a while, however all I have is a very cheap keyboard that I got like 13 years ago. Particularly, the model is the Casio LK 100. However, in the end it does work and I do enjoy practicing songs such as the Detective Conan main theme, tetris, and Kamado Tanjiru No Uta (from Kimetsu No Yaiba).

A couple hours went by and my phone was eventually fully charged. It was probably around 4PM at this point and I was insanely bored. I had told my friends I probably couldn't hangout today, but was beginning to regret that decision. I then realized that the thing that could make the day fun was a trip to tacobell.

The only obstacle was that the nearest tacobell is 20 miles away and I don't even have my learner's permit yet. I asked my mother if she had any errands to run or anything, and reminded her the mall was right next to the tacobell.

She agreed to go to the mall and to drop me off to have some tacobell, however I had to wait a good three and a half hours. I literally sat on the couch just listening to anime openings for that entire time, wondering when she would come downstairs and she would live. We finally left at 7:30.

I called the tacobell to see when they closed the lobby, as some close their lobbies pretty early and stay drive thru only. Luckily, the one near the mall did not close the lobby until 10PM.

I got a ride to tacobell and then realized I had nearly no money, no more than a few bucks. I decided I would claim my T Mobile Tuesday free crunchy taco supreme, and then just purchase a large drink. That way I could get a meal for just $2 plus tax.

I walked into the tacobell and fidgeted on my phone to attempt to get the T Mobile Tuesday deal working for a solid five or so minutes. It wasn't working properly and I was frusrated knowing my budget, so I thought 

"Agh screw this, I'm just going to buy my drink real quick and I'll figure this out at my table."

I went and asked for a drink at the front counter, and as I was getting my debit card out the employee said,

"It's alright, this one is on the house."

I realized that she had probably seen my frustration trying to use my phone to order and just gave me this free drink out of pity. I gladly accepted though.

Soon afterwords, I was able to get the deal to work and also received my free taco. So, basically, I got an entire meal for free and I was very happy.

I then sat down and ate, and I sat in the tacobell for around thirty minutes. During my stay I took a picture of my food and sent it to my friends, and I explained how I got everything for free.

I also noticed a group of people walk in all wearing clothing representing a particular University. Seeing as it was one University I was interested in, I approached them. I confirmed that they had all attended that University and asked for their SAT/ACT statistics out of curiosity.

One claimed that he had gotten a 1400 on his SAT, and the other that he had gotten a 33 on his ACT. I saw this as both good and bad. I've taken the SAT once and I received a score of 1380. I got lower than expected in math at a 700, but I also did insanely well compared to what I expected in english, at a 680. I truly hope I can get into the college they had attended with my score.

Soon, my mother showed up at the taco bell. She was done looking at things at the mall, and she picked me up and we headed home.

Soon after getting home, I got in and began talking to my older brother and a few friends on discord. We were talking about general things, and I told them about my college conversation with the alumni I had met.

One of my friend's then suddenly asked me whether or not my sister had gone to college. I told him that my sister went to community college but had then dropped out. With a highschool GPA of 2.6 and an ACT score of 14, you couldn't really expect much more.

We continued to talk about various things and my older brother told me he was going to write a book on web novel. It was then that I decided I wanted to write this auto biography.

I got started with the prologue, and now that I am finishing this first chapter it is slightly past midnight. I'll be heading to bed soon and I have set the timer to post this chapter at 5AM.

This is my life. I am writing this story to always remember where I came from in the years to come.

"We've been breached sir!" Bishop exclaimed. His computer screen was glitching non-stop. "That's impossible, our firewall is impenetrable" The general countered, looking down to observe the computer screen.
The computer seemed to have a mind of its own as files upon files of classified Documents were being downloaded. "Damn! Ivan! Get khan here, make sure he's seeing this." Ivan nodded leaving the confined space of the security room."I want all hands on deck. Cover every possible angle, we've got to shut this thing down." The security room was suddenly abuzz with multiple clicking sounds coming from various computers. Fingers flew across the keyboards as the various FBI personnel tried to wrest control back from their attackers."Bishop, I need you to track down this guy. Follow his footprints until you've got a location." General Wang said with a fierce expression on his face. He ran his fingers through his hair looking frustrated. He missed his morning coffee and was a little cranky.
His subordinates gave him a wide berth this morning as the quickly noticed the look on his face.
He was going through a bad divorce and had tons of paper work on his desk. The precinct was down on its luck as it had not been able to uncover a series of cases.
The frustration brought forth from his woes pushed him to double his efforts in catching their would be hacker.
" Found him! Assuming it's a him."Bishop said with a smile. " Send the coordinates to Parker, I want all units to apprehend this criminal." Detective Wang replied massaging his temple.
He reclined on a chair beside Parker watching his progress. "I need coffee, someone get me a cup of coffee!"
 .....
"You mean to tell me that our guy is a 10 year old boy?"Detective Wang asked Parker in disbelief. "I've apprehended and questioned the kid. According to him, he just wanted to check out the profile of his mom's boyfriend. To find out if he had a criminal record or if he was a secret spy working for the government." Parker responded with a slight chuckle. Previously, when he was questioning the kid, he had an inkling that it was someone else, likely the mother who was using the little boy as her fall guy.
But when the little boy took him step by step through the processes he used to accomplish the hack, he was dumbfounded and had to leave to get some air.
Immediately he was out, he was bombarded with questions from detective Wang.
Detective Wang slowly absorbed the new information he was getting, mussing over how ridiculous it sounded but how real their situation was.
It would never be expected that the FBI security system would be breached by a ten year old elementary school boy.
"What are we going to do about the boy?" Parker asked. Detective Wang was totally undecided as to what to do. He wondered if he should let the boy go with a warning or take more drastic measures.
"Find out what you can from the mother. I want to know how long the boy has been using a computer, who the boy has been with and who taught him how to use a computer."
"About that...."
" Spit it out Parker"
"Well, according to the mother. She just got a computer last week, prior to that there has never been a computer in their home.
It appears her claims are valid as her boyfriend who lives with her vouched on her behalf. I also got to peruse the receipt she handed to me and it all seems legit."
Parker explained. Detective Wang sighed resignedly. "Just let the kid go with a warning."
"OK sir. Also, the mother asked that we watch the kid as she is working double shifts today and she has no idea how long the interrogations would take."
"What!?"Detective Wang bellowed. Parker winced as he observed the reddening expression on his boss's face.
"When has my precinct become a babysitting center? I'm gonna kill someone if that child doesn't leave this place in the next sixty seconds."
"But, if I may Chief, it's no problem. The little boy is quite adorable and nerdy too.
I'm sure the girls will love him." Parker pleaded. "Alright then, but he's your responsibility. That boy's is a threat, you must watch him at all times and make sure he doesn't touch anything."Detective Wang warned, sizing parker up, he continued "If anything goes wrong, its both our asses on the line comprendes?" Parker nodded affirmatively to detective Wang."They're not paying me enough for this". Detective Wang said massaging his temple. He soon retired into his office leaving Parker to his own devices.
Parker got the boy out from the room they used for questioning criminals. With the boy in hand, he made his way over to where two female detectives were seated conversing.
"Hey Joy."Parker called to one of the two women. The female named joy had on a fashionable pant suit with her blond hair caught in a pony tail.
"What do want this time parker?" Joy asked, a smirk forming on her lips. " Can you help me watch him for a bit, I've got to head out." Parker explained giving the two women his killer smile.
He had midnight black hair that fell forward covering one of his brown eyes. His teeth where white like in the tooth paste commercials.
"Why me?" Joy asked "Is it because I'm a woman?" Joy raised a perfectly arched brow. She didn't look like your usual everyday female detective. She looked like she belonged on the front page of Covergirl. Parker rubbed his head feeling slightly embarrassed, he was unsure of how to answer.
" She's just kidding with you dude, no need to get all flustered" Martie joked.
She reached forward to ruffled the kid's hair. " So you are our little troublemaker?I expected someone taller."Martie teased the little boy.She laughed good naturedly as the boy blushed. 
Parker sighed with relief. Thanking the two girls, he left the room. "I think he likes you." Martie teased Joy."You're such a tease."Joy replied, blushing a little.
...
8:30 pm
"His mother hasn't arrived yet?" Joy asked Parker with a look of concern written all over her face.
"Don't sweat it, she's just running late." Parker gazed at the kid who slept peacefully on the office chair. His neck was tilted to the side as spittle ran down from his mouth.
Beep..
His phone suddenly sounded as a message popped up. "Would be there in ten minutes." It read. "That's her?" Joy asked. "Yeah, she'd be here in ten minutes."
Parker grinned at the pretty but tired looking woman. " You know, how about I take you to dinner. Just to say thank you." Joy smiled at the request, nodding her head in affirmation. "Be warned though, I eat like a cow."Joy replied. The duo suddenly burst into laughter.
"I like a woman with..."Parker's statement was suddenly interrupted by a sudden black out.The whole  precinct was rendered pitch black. Parker pressed the button on his hand set, using the little light it provided to light the area around him. "Don't panic! Everyone keep calm the back-up generator would be on soon."Detective Wang reassured everyone. "We're detectives, a sudden black out isn't gonna scare us." Someone said eliciting a laughter from everybody. The lights suddenly came on as the back-up generator hummed to life. 
"Aaaaaaaah!!"Someone screamed suddenly. Parker turned to the direction of the scream to see Joy's stricken face. "He's gone!" She yelled pointing to the chair where only a kid's school bag could be seen.
"What's happening?" A voice asked. Parker stared blankly at the little boy's mother who had just messaged him a few moments ago. "Where's my son?"The woman asked  franticly as she observed the shocked look of the people around her. "H..he...is not with you?" Parker stuttered. "What do you mean? I just came in. Where is my son!" The mother yelled amist tears. She looked a mess with her hair scattered wildly around her face, her stained waitress uniform and bags under her eyes which were now stained with black lines like ink.
"There's no need to fret madam, he's here. He must have just wandered off during the black out." Detective Wang reassured the young mother trying to douse the situation.
Martie went to console the woman, joking good naturedly with her that no one could escape under the watchful eyes of over 30 attentive professionals.
Hours passed and all available personnel had combed every inch of the building with no sign of the boy.
Units where dispatched to the young mother's house while other units where tasked to organize search parties to look for the boy.
They combed every known spot the kid liked, but there were no sign of the boy. The black out happened only in the precinct and no where else. Detective Wang found this odd and ordered Parker to dig out the video footage taken before the black out.
As the footage was played over and over, detective Wang watched attentively. "Stop! Who's that man? Zoom in on the name tag." The image of a cleaner suddenly came into view. The video was zoomed in and the name 'Alfredo Gonzalez' appeared."Run this guy through our data base. keep me informed once you get anything."
Detective Wang had not slept all day, his whole body was plagued with guilt. It was over twenty-four hours and the boy had not popped up. "Boss, i think you should rest a little , I'll hit you up once anything comes up." Parker urged. Detective Wang yawned tiredly as he made his way to his office. He reclined on his chair taking a breather. He's office was quite big with a view of central park and a television set. On remembering the television set, he took the remote control and switched it on. 
"Twenty-six year old Alfredo Gonzalez was found dead in his apartment with a gun shot wound to the head. 
He was found this morning by his next door neighbour and girl friend Elizabeth Jones. 
According to the statement given by the said girl friend, he received an undisclosed amount of money for....."
Detective Wang zoned out. He was shocked to see their lead on the case compromised. "Parker! Parker!" he yelled as a familiar head of midnight black hair appeared through the door." Did you see the news? Our guy is dead! I want you to follow the money trail. See where it leads you."
"Certainly!" Parker replied exiting the office.

Mo Fan was feeling great as he left the library.
Although there was still quite a long way to go to his ultimate goal, he had already received quite a profit from winning the competition.
Dean Xiao clearly knew what Mo Fan needed, and so part of the resources were converted into something beneficial to Mo Fan so that he could get stronger.
Once Mo Fan became strong, he would no longer fear having no money, as money would just come in by itself. As Dean Xiao had just mentioned, once he was at the higher levels, they were all talking about more than just millions!
"My Fire is now the Rose Fire, which is worth more than twenty million in the market. The two million RMB I was given by the school is nowhere near enough to buy a Spirit Grade Lightning Seed, not to mention that the Lightning Seed is way more expensive… Perhaps I should use this money here to improve my living condition," Mo Fan said to himself quietly.
He no longer wanted to stay somewhere with no people around, especially after Xin Xia had entered a well-known school in Jiang Zhe. She had difficulty moving around, so he had to hire someone to take care of her.
Mo Fan even planned that when they got richer, he would hire a female bodyguard so that Xin Xia would not be bullied because of her gentle nature.
For now, due to the University's rules, he, like the other new students, had to stay in the student hostel.
In coming years, once he entered the main institution, he would have to get a place to stay. Everyone in the dorms might be living their own lives without interfering with one another, but there would still be some times where things could be very inconvenient. Just look at Zhao Manyan, who was always going out to get laid. With the hotels and motels located so far away from the school, he couldn't possibly bring the girls back to the dorms to have a one night stand...
Dean Xiao even gave Mo Fan an reasonable suggestion!
Pouring all of his attention into cultivating was a good thing, but combined with some practical experience in combat, his cultivating speed would speed up a considerable amount.
After witnessing the four Intermediate mages of the Dongfang Family getting wrapped up during the battle with Chao He due to their lack of combat experience, Mo Fan now viewed fighting much more seriously.
After all, what was the point of obtaining a high level or strong spell if a person knew nothing about fighting? As a result, after a series of brainstorming sessions, Mo Fan figured that he would pick up where he left off long ago... becoming a Hunter Mage once again!

In school, he might be able to challenge the other students for more experience, but this was not enough by itself. A friendly match would always be a friendly match; everyone would compete with one another, but they would not go all-out in the fight. Unlike friendly matches, only people like hunter mages would get involved in a real battle where there was a chance they would be killed. Only by fighting non-stop, refining and honing one's ability, would one be able to improve themselves!
Even better, being a Hunter Mage would earn him some extra income!
And if possible, he hoped that his Lightning Element would be able to morph into a Spirit Seed. After all, the temptation of having his combat power doubled was way too attractive!

"Mo Fan, where are you going? I've called out a few ladies from the Water Element, they are all extremely pretty, one of them is definitely your type! I can't deal with so many of them at the same time…." shouted Zhang Pinggu to stop Mo Fan as soon as he saw Mo Fan about to head out.
"I'm bored, so I thought that I should go the market to have a look," replied Mo Fan.
As much as he wanted to meet with the few ladies from the Water Element, he had long ago figured out that with Zhang Pinggu's appeal, the ladies he called out might not be as beautiful as he claimed. Mo Fan instead decided to head towards the Hunters Union.
If it had been the elegant Zhao Manyan stopping Mo Fan, he would probably have stayed back!

The Hunter Union was located in the area of the Lu Family, where the few huge factions had each occupied a skyscraper for themselves.
When Mo Fan arrived at the Hunter Union's skyscraper, he headed straight up to the fiftieth floor.
The Hunter Union's main hall occupied this entire floor, with a total of fifteen elevators being used to sustain the incredible human flow here.
Around the main hall were all sorts of LCD screens, each filled with words and numbers that presented various bounties offered to the hunter mages in the hall.
One could say that the information collected in the Shanghai's Hunter Union was the largest and broadest of all the Hunter Unions. Even some of the oversea bounties would be occasionally be listed here, allowing the hunter mages to select bounties according to their own capabilities and preferences.
Because of his status as a student still in school studying, it was impossible for him to become a hunter mage active in the wilds.
He also prefered hunting within the cities. Given how large the area occupied by Shanghai was, there would be countless monsters appearing here. What was the point of being a city urban law enforcer in tiny Bo City? If he had a choice, he would definitely be the city urban law enforcer of Shanghai!
In that way, while he was hunting for demons and monsters, he would be able to not only cross paths with all kinds of beautiful ladies, but cultivate himself and even earn large bounties, so why not?

"Mr. Harada!"

A 46 year old man with sparse stubble and a slightly unkempt appearance turned his head back when he heard someone shouting his name and found a young man in suit running after him.

"Hah... Hah..." The boy was almost out of breath when he reached the man named Harada.

"Hey, boy." He addressed the young detective who looked out of breath.

"Ck, I warned you not to run in the corridor." The senior detective rebuked the junior again.

"I'm not a kid, Mr. Harada! My name is Shota Takagi Please stop calling me boy." Protest the cute and baby-faced junior detective.

"Oh, is that so? Sure, boy." He said with a smile.

"Mr. Harada!" Shouted Shota.

"Okay, okay no offense. So, What in the world happened that made you run like that?"

"Oh, this is about the murder case that happened 3 days ago, in Nakano district." Shota replied as he pulled out some paper sheets from the large envelope he carried.

"We got a report about a suspicious person who was probably the suspect of this murder case." He continued, handing the document to a man named Noburo Harada.

"Hmm, if it's just this, leave it to That guy." Harada said, turning away with a yawn.

"Eh? That guy?" Shota asked rather confused.

"Yeah, That guy." Mr. Harada replied briefly.

"Do you mean that rich, tall, handsome (E/n : heck, I'm cringing adding that 😂) young Detective who is known as the 3-eyed genius?"

"Handsome? Genius? Hahaha ..." He asked  with a laugh.

Shota was rather confused with his senior reaction.

"Yes, yes, admittedly that just by seeing that person's look and appearance, he's pretty handsome, and if he's silent, then the handsome genius' nickname can be used. Unfortunately, he's weird."

"Weird?" Shota asked once more in confusion.

"You should have heard rumors about him. Yes, he is a genius and handsome guy that managed to solve many cases, but beyond that, he is also strange. He got extremely narcissistic nature to upset almost everyone in this department, especially those who have to work as his partners. In addition to narcissism, sometimes he talks about nonsensical and out of topic conversation. He likes to act casually and often do things out of command. Although his crazy ideas solved the cases successfully it ended up with myriad of punishment because he disobey superior's order. People said that geniuses are eccentric but this kid is a total weirdo."

"Ehhhhh ??? I just found out that he was like that." Shota's response seemed almost incongruous with the fact he heard.

"But sir, there's something I do not understand." He said with a little hesitation.

"Hm? What?" Mr. Harada asked.

"Ahhh ... About that, you should ask him directly." Harada replied lazily.

"Mr. Harada!" Shota angrily snarled at his senior's lazy attitude.

"Yeah, yeah. Even if you cry here I still won't be able to answer and comprehend how that madman think." Harada replied, looking helpless.

"And where is he now?" Shota asked again.

"Who knows? Maybe he was busy dancing while listening to music in his apartment. (E/n : cringe part 2) He always likes to look fashionable like a model rather than a detective that works at police department."

"But what about Mr. Harada, do you agree with that conclusion?"

"No." He answered shortly.

"Why?" Shota asked innocently.

Mr. Harada's steps halted and he once again looked at the young detective beside him.

Mr. Harada's gaze made Shota feel uncomfortable. He felt as though he had said something wrong!

Mr. Harada continued to stare at Shota for a bit.

"Baka!" [Stupid!] He mocked Shota.

Shota was stunned silence.

"It's true that that boy had sharp intuition, but I hope he's wrong this time!"

Shota just listened to his senior even though he was anxious to ask.

"Why? That's what's in your heart, right?" Guessed Mr. Harada.

"The answer is simple." He continued.

"If what he said was true, then Tokyo will be hit by a major disaster." He explained while looking at the blue sky from behind the window.

Mr. Harada then turned to look at Shota seriously.

"Do you understand what I mean?" He asked with a look that did not have the slightest impression of joking.

Shota got surprised by this senior's change. It was the first time he had seen Mr. Harada looking so serious. There was not the slightest bit of playful and lazy impression as usual .

"If all that has happened so far is a series of heinous and well-organized killing, then you know what the consequences are for us. There will be storms and great threats if that happen!"

The tense atmosphere and the words Mr. Harada said with his serious tone and expression made Shota nervous and scared. He gulped his saliva with a great of difficulty.

Just hearing the worst possibility, Shota already panicked. What else if all that really happened. Let alone that, thinking about and imagining it almost making him vomit due to fear.

He also agreed with Mr. Harada's words. Hopefully that person's intuition turned out to be wrong.

< 'I'm sorry senior, I do not mean to pray for your talent to deteriorate. It's just that your conclusions make others scared, and that thing also sounds crazy! Who wants your speculation to be true? Shota shuddered again, considering the possibility of a man who was so intelligent and dangerous had planned a series of outrageously sadistic murders. Made everything seem to be done with different motives and actors. Scary! It's really too scary!

Considering these few months he had to deal with mutilated, burned corpses and or a series of overly sadistic and cruel murder methods, beyond the limits of humanity that no 'normal' person would have thought of.
