"They will be here in a few minutes are you sure about this?" Maximus asked me worriedly.
Having too many secrets can often paint a target on a person especially when one of the secrets is really not that important. So, it is devisable to sometimes get rid of those secrets, so you seem much more pleasing to the eyes of others.
"Once we are done with this we can make sure those guys won't ever team up again in the foreseeable future. That itself is worth the risk." I replied.
"Again, I am not sure your plan will succeed. We don't even know if they were fighting over her in that restaurant at that time. If they were sure your plan will succeed but what if they weren't fighting over her?" Titus asked
"The primary reward from this is getting their claws from my back. I have to let them know and see that I am capable of overfeeding the grey zone. The splitting of their alliance is only a secondary reward. Even if they weren't fighting over her in the restaurant I am pretty sure they will be once they see what happens today." I smiled as I clarified the plan to Titus.
"You guys relax. Either way, we win today. If they read his memory, it will prove our innocence. If they can't read his memory then we just need to watch from the side-lines as they fight amongst themselves." Dexter calmly explained while smiling.
"Hmm, that's true. We got nothing to lose here. Hahaha" Titus started laughing while Maximus just smirked from the side.

"Remember Jerry leave no memories unturned. His highness wants you to scourge through every single memory of him even if it leaves him dead. We will stop them if they interfere with your reading." Butler Smith instructed me for the 5th time, while Lord Cason and Lord Thorn moved ahead.
Seriously I get it. Why are they so concerned? 
This is not my first memory reading not to mention this one is apparently being done out of self-voluntarily. Doing reading on a guarded person is hard but manageable for someone as experienced as I am in this field, so doing it to a person who is willingly opening his mind for me is like opening the gates to bandits and robbers, they leave no stone unturned.
We arrived at the residence of Lord Dexter. Butler Smith went forward to knock on the door. We waited out in silence for only a few seconds before the butler of the household opened the door and welcomed us in.
He kept looking at me as he guided us in.
Is there something wrong with me? I checked myself over to see if there was anything on my clothes. Hmm, nothing then what's wrong?
We soon entered what seemed to be a visiting room. 
4 people were sat on the couch on the left side as they observed us.
I spotted his highness sat at the far end of left-hand side casually sleeping.
"Why are you two here? I can understand Smith being here due to looking after the situation as the representative of his highness" Questioned Titus towards Lord Steven and Lord Albert.
"I am here to make sure to provide support in case any mishaps happen. Hahaha. Also, I heard food was provided after everything is over is that true?" Albert asked while looking at the sleeping his highness John, who seemed pretty relaxed as if it wasn't his memory which was going to be read.
"I was asked to provide protection as the roads aren't safe." Steven replied.
These seemed to be the excuse Lord Thorn and Cason seemed to have prepared. They came here under the order of his majesty along with butler Smith to stop Lord Dexter and co, in case they wanted to stop the memory reading. 
Although not adequate enough Lord Bloodfist seemed satisfied by the answer.
Seriously why do they not even question this lame excuse? Suddenly the room turned very quiet as everyone seemed to be having a staring contest. The tension in the room rose as I observed the silent war going on.
I think I prefer being in the dark grim torture room obtaining memories from prisoners than being here.
"Yawn... Oh, you guys are here. Let's start, I need to sleep after this." Said his highness without a care as he stood up and walked towards me while breaking the tension in the room.
"I am ready. What should I do?" His highness asked me as he stood in front of me.
His thin frame along with his strange overgrown afro hair kept distracting me for a while before I started explaining.
"Your highness I suggest you getting in the most comfortable position possible while letting your mind open for me."
"Can you access my memories in sleep as I am most comfortable in my sleep?"
"..." I was speechless for a few seconds. This is the first time I have ever seen anyone so relaxed at getting their memories read. Every person would show some kind of reluctance to let a person enter inside your mind and read your memories, but here was a person who didn't give a damn.
"Your highness I need you to be awake while I access your memories." I answered after a while.
His highness nodded before walking back to the couch he was sat at. "Can you move? I need to lie down to be comfortable." His highness asked Lord Bloodfist who seemed to be sat on the same couch as his highness.
"Get lost. I am not moving." Lord Bloodfist answered back.
"Fine." His highness answered before grabbing the cushion on the couch. He threw the cushion on the floor before placing his head on the cushion and lying on the floor on his stomach as if he was sleeping.
"I am ready." He mumbled.
"This.." I turned towards butler Smith who just nodded along with Lord Cason. While Lord Thorn seemed too focused on glaring at Lord Maximus.
I went towards his highness and was about to place my hand on his forehead when suddenly his highness got up. "Wait a second."
Suddenly I could feel everyone's gaze on us as his highness got few papers out his pocket. "Can one of you pass me a pen?"
Lord Thorn suddenly threw a pen towards his highness who caught it.
"Right I need you to sign these few papers along with the rest of you before we proceed." His highness explained while passing me few papers.
"What is this, your highness?" I asked.
"It's a statement disclosure from you saying that if anything happens to you because of you reading my memory then I or anyone here will not be held responsible and is not responsible. Everyone here will sign it as being witness to this agreement and keep a copy including you and me. Along with you not objecting to the whole event here being recorded. This is just in case something happens and you all decide to sue me inside the royal courts." I suddenly felt not so confident at reading his highness' memory. But I remembered the oath I took when I was offered the chance of awakening my award.
Reluctantly I signed the many papers along with everyone else. "Here is your copy." His highness said as he passed a paper to each one of us.
Lord Cason and butler Smith didn't seem to happy at what his highness was doing as well as delaying the inevitable.
"Ok, let's carry on." His highness said as he lied back like he did before.
Without wasting any more time I placed my hand on his highness' forehead. I activated my award as I slowly felt myself entering into his highness' mind.
"Hmm, strange." I thought out loud as I observed very dark room with the only thing giving out brightness in here being a white door.
This was one of the most stable minds I have ever seen. Usually when I enter a person's mind what I first see is a very chaotic world. The more stable a person is the less chaotic it is in their mind.
I walked towards the bright door. Everyone no matter how willing they are will always try and guard their memory subconsciously. Their mind does this automatically and most people guard it in different forms. The more willingly a person was when conscious when doing this, the less obstacle a reader like me have to face against the subconscious mind.
His highness seemed to be very willing in the outside but part of his subconscious still guarded his mind in the form of a closed bright door.
I walked towards the door but was surprised to see the door was not locked and easily opened when I pushed the handle down.
I could feel something wet on my arm as I was slowly opening the door. I looked towards my naked arm to see it was droplets clear liquid. 
It seemed to be coming from my face. I touched my face to notice that I was crying. 'But why am I crying' I thought as I fully opened the door.
I opened the bright door and entered to see a shining person across me standing awaiting me in his glorious smile. Seeing him I wept and I cried but...
Why?

A Soul who became lazy over time has to now try and not die for 25 years before he can go back to his home, where he can be as lazy and not be subjected to more tests and trials.

Xiao Xi Xi was really surprised at what she saw. She wiped both of her eyes, trying to see whether it was a dream or not.
Daddy and Mommy were sleeping together on the same sofa... Improvement! This was really a good improvement ah~! They had never been so intimate in front of her and somehow, it made her feel beyond happy.
However, she suddenly furrowed her eyebrows and thought deeply about something. Xiao Xi Xi didn't know whether she should be happy or sad after thinking for a little while.
She felt sad because her daddy and mommy didn't ask her to join them and slept together, on the other hand, she was also happy to see them together just like this. It was so sweet.
After contemplating for a little while, she grinned widely because she had reached a decision. She was feeling so happy because of what she had seen. Why should she envy them ah~? Xiao Xi Xi squatted at their side and looked at them with wide eyes while resting her chin on both of her hands. She watched them intensely while grinning in a happy mood. She had never seen her mommy sleeping so peacefully like this --- maybe... Daddy's body was that comfortable? Even more comfortable than their bed?
She should ask her mommy about this later.
Mommy usually moved around at night and sometimes mumbled a few incoherent things when they were sleeping together at night, however, she had looked at her daddy and mommy for some times and she was still peacefully sleeping.
Mommy was laying on her stomach and her head rested at Daddy's chest. Both of her hands also rested on his chest while her daddy was hugging her waist, treating her as his private bolster tenderly. Their position was quite intimate and luckily for Lu Yi Feng, there was no skin contact despite their closeness, because even in his sleep, he was quite defensive.
No allergy reaction --- just a peaceful sleep for both of them.
And also... fortunately, they didn't do some weird poses that would make people's imagination run wild --- even to little kid. They appeared to be intimate, but normal. Yes, a normal standard.
Xiao Xi Xi looked at the time and she saw that it was already at... one, two, three... er... seven? She read the clock slowly and counted it a few times just to make sure that she didn't make a mistake --- after all, she had just learned reading times at school. Her school started at eight, if her daddy or mommy didn't wake up... she would be late ah~!
She didn't want to be punished and could only wake them up even though Xiao Xi Xi felt a bit regretful to ruin the peaceful moment. Xiao Xi Xi decided to wake her mommy up first. If Daddy woke up first, she was afraid that when he sat down in surprise, Mommy would fall down and roll to the ground. She couldn't let that happen.
Thus, Xiao Xi Xi poked Feng Xiao Qing's face and called her softly, "Mommy... Mommy... wakey... wakey...!"
Her mommy just moved around a little bit and frowned, however, she still didn't wake up. Xiao Xi Xi felt that it was quite fun, thus, she continued bothering her mommy. Poking her face and sometimes blowing air on her face, but there was still no reaction from Feng Xiao Qing.
Xiao Xi Xi looked helplessly at her mommy who was usually a light sleeper. She had no choice but continue teasing her mommy restlessly. She knew that her work would pay off in a few moments. True enough, Feng Xiao Qing started to stir when Xiao Xi Xi poked on her face once more.
Feng Xiao Qing slapped Xiao Xi Xi's finger away softly, feeling annoyed by Xiao Xi Xi's continuous movement. She was so tired and didn't want to leave her comfortable new bed. "Em... go away... go away... Don't bother me!" Feng Xiao Qing whined softly but her eyes were still closing.
"Mommy..." Xiao Xi Xi helplessly called her once again. "Mommy... I'm going to be late. Don't you have work to do too?"
"No... I just want to sleep... I'm so tired... Not working.... not working..." Feng Xiao Qing mumbled while turning her head away from Xiao Xi Xi. She totally missed the school part.
Lu Yi Feng was usually a light sleeper too, but at the moment, even with Feng Xiao Qing's movement, he was still sleeping soundly and snoring once in a while. They had just slept for around two hours and that was the reason why it was hard for them to wake up. They still felt sleepy and wanted to continue their sweet dream.
Xiao Xi Xi pouted and finally became impatient. She stood up and yelled loudly, "MOMMY! MOMMY! It's already late! Remember my SCHOOL!" Xiao Xi Xi yelled right next to Feng Xiao Qing's ears and the latter jumped up in surprise. Her right ear was ringing due to Xiao Xi Xi' loud voice.
"Argh!" Feng Xiao Qing yelled and looked around in confusion.
She sat down and wiped her eyes, still feeling muddleheaded. Feng Xiao Qing forgot that the last place she went last night was the living room --- and the man was currently still under her, sleeping soundly. She sat on his stomach while both of her legs were resting on Lu Yi Feng's stomach side. She didn't even realize that she was sitting on top of him.
Feng Xiao Qing looked to her right side and saw Xiao Xi Xi. "Oh, Xi Xi... what happened?" She was still feeling confused about everything. The different thing that she felt was that her current bed was slightly harder than usual.
"Mommy... wake up! I need to go to school and we have less than one hour!" Xiao Xi Xi said.
"What time is it now?" Feng Xiao Qing asked while stretching her body and her eyes opened only halfway.
"Mommy... it's more than seven... almost eight..." Xiao Xi Xi answered loudly.

After figuring that out Xilo got up to check a couple other books as well just to be sure it wasn't the one he was currently reading that was like this. But even after checking those he still found nothing of use about Cestrin. Reluctantly giving up he sat back down and moved on to the next closest country to their current one. But Unfortunately luck was seriously not on his side in this manner. The country that was closest after Cestrin turned out to be Tildel and that meant he had not much information on it as well. Which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that their country was populated with humans and were in constant skirmishes with Cestrin due to their general dislike for beast kind..

"We are really stuck in a hard place here."

He was probably in the worst possible location he could be in for him and Xelfia's situation. He almost wondered if the world was telling him to stay where he was and this was just their way of giving a hint. Sure he could probably visit Tildel alone if he covered up a little bit but that would involve not bringing Xelfia along with him and since he promised to explore the world together with her he wasn't too  keen on such a thing. Plus it was his selfishness that mixed in and wanted to be by her side more.

Little by little he was slowly getting more comfortable to her being by his side. He had noticed it a little bit before but the biggest realization happened this morning for him. He really enjoyed being around her whether it was just sitting in a room like they were now beside each other or the conversations they had at other times. "Plus she gets me talking." Out of his entire life these past few weeks have probably been the most he had ever spoken all together and it was something he needed and wanted. Even if he messed up sometimes or couldn't figure some things out. At least she was in the same position. 

"Learning together. It's definitely different."

He couldn't imagine how he would handle someone else being by his side this constantly if they were anyone else and that thought brought a slight smile to his face.

"So how's it going so far."

Interrupting his thoughts he heard the voice of the person he was just thinking about to find her sitting beside him with her book closed with a somewhat confident smile on her face. Seeing that smile sent even more shivers down his back then the story he had just read. Since he couldn't count any of that towards his points he was most likely behind in points at the moment and it scared him just thinking about what was going to happen. But most of all it made him sad to not be able to figure out and help Xelfia with her potential problem. "Get Serious Xilo, you don't have time to be messing around anymore." It really might come down to that one point at this rate if he kept on fooling around.

"It's going just fine what about you? On to your next book I see?"

"Yea, I just got finished now with this one and boy do I have a lot of information to tell you, Hehe I can't wait." 

Not even waiting for his reply she looked back down and grabbed another book at her side and began reading again. "Ugh." Resuming his own reading he went on to all the countries that were in close proximity to Ukel only to come back empty handed. The only information he could openly find on any of the countries he looked at besides some of the more central ones were stuff about their Astral Zones and the capital cities linked to it with some small details about other things that didn't interest him much.

"Why don't you have more information, pointless." At that point though he was just venting his useless anger. He knew unfortunately that not many people cared about Geography and information as much as he did and even if they did they wouldn't put it in a public library unless they were strange. Like the writer of the story he had read a little bit ago.

"Haaaaa..It's fine, we'll get to those places eventually."

Giving up for now he moved onto the task he had in mind. Since he could only find information on his country primarily at the moment he was going to burn everything important about Belturn that he could into his head. Sitting up he walked over to the nearest bookshelf and started looking for a guide book of any sort about Belturn. After a couple of minutes of looking he finally found a small book that could finally help him.

"Finally."

With that he sat back down and began reading it. After about another hour of reading that he had finally finished reading the book he had chosen.

"Whooo. That took more time then I thought it would but I'm done now. We still have some time left. I wonder what I should look for next."

Taking a moment to stop and think about it he thought of other possible things they would need until eventually one thing came to mind. Going back to search for it on the shelves he continued his point collection.

Rewinding a little bit back After Xelfia had finally finished reading about Astral Path's she was just beginning to move onto Astral Rings and what they do for Astral Keepers. Turning the pages she began reading. Astral Rings primary function for their respective owners was to give people either more defensive abilities, attack abilities or both.

"So similar to our Innate ability?"

Unlike the ability people can get beforehand or afterwards though that can be anything from teleporting to flying these abilities can only be a part of a smaller range of choices that varies depending on person.

With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of

Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in
his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most.

"The Basic Guide To The Astral Path"

This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning.

With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall?

Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

While waiting for the previous team to perform the debridement, Ling Ran crossed his arms over his chest while he stood in front of the screen to analyze the scans.
Lu Wenbin helped the patient disinfect the toe. Yu Yuan accompanied Ling Ran and operated the remote for him. 
When Ling Ran analyzed the MRI scans, Yu Yuan also read them quietly.
She had once studied medical imaging seriously, and her level of MRI analysis was not bad. At that moment, she was eager to give some suggestions.
Yu Yuan observed Ling Ran's expression and tried to guess what he was thinking. She sighed lightly and waited for a time to speak out...
"Okay, turn it off." Ling Ran went back to his surgical position after he finished reading the scans.
Yu Yuan was stunned. She could not do anything but turn off the big screen. She put the remote control back to its original place before walking to Ling Ran's side.
"Wash your hands." Ling Ran's tone was bland, but it scared Yu Yuan so much she almost fell down.

Ling Ran kept on giving orders. Amputation was considered a super easy task in finger replantation. Although he did not have to perform the most troublesome tasks that were blood vessel anastomosis and nerve anastomosis anymore, he still needed to sort out the blood vessels and nerves, and also handle them later. 
Amputation was considered an easy task for Ling Ran. Lu Wenbin could already cooperate with him with ease in this task. So, the level of difficulty in the tasks Ling Ran gave Yu Yuan became even lower.
Yu Yuan lowered her head and did her tasks silently. Slowly, she started to regain her confidence bit by bit.
"What are your thoughts?" Ling Ran cast a glance at Yu Yuan while performing the surgery.
Yu Yuan thought for a few seconds before she blurted out her words. "There are deformities in the patients' great toe. Based on the MRI scan, it will be better to perform arthrolysis [1] after osteotomy [2]."
She had been keeping these words to herself when she read the MRI scans.
She instantly felt comfortable once she took a risk to voice her opinion at this moment. 
Lu Wenbin looked at Yu Yuan in surprise and thought, 'She's pretty brave.'
The arthroscopic arthrolysis that was mentioned by Yu Yuan was an independent task, which meant that she was adding one more step to the surgery, further complicating the surgery itself. It also indirectly increased the risks of the surgery performed. Most importantly, the surgery procedure was actually planned beforehand by Chief Physician Wang Haiyang. Adding this one step without careful consideration could be said to be a challenge to his authority.
If that one sentence was heard by a senior doctor who had great authority, the powerless resident doctor could get into the senior doctor's bad books.
Of course, Wang Haiyang was not the chief physician in the Emergency Department, so Yu Yuan's actions could only be considered bold.
Ling Ran neither agreed or disagreed. He only hummed.

Lexi, while still fuming about Matthew escorting her to the courthouse in his military vehicle, at least allowed him to assist her down, knew she was more worried about Richard's parents' reaction to Matthew's presence.  Despite them ultimately only having a distant connection to Dominic, which they knew, they were determined to gain control of him.

Lexi observed Matthew signal to Warrant Officer Wang, who slightly moved the vehicle before quickly escorting them into the courthouse.

Walking into the courthouse beside a uniform wearing Matthew and being escorted by Warrant Officer Wang, Lexi knew they were highly visible, but at the same time it made her feel safe and comfortable, as if no one would hurt her.  Upon reaching the courthouse door, the security staff spotted Matthew and his adjunct, and came racing over to escort them into the building and around the security screening point.

After they had been escorted around the screening point, Lexi started to look around to locate her lawyers.  She spotted Richard's parents waiting in line at security screening and could hear them complaining about how unfair it was that people like them were forced to wait in line when scum where shown around security screening.  In that moment Lexi realised that her former in-laws had not changed.  They still believed that they were the most important people every situation.

As she kept looking around Lexi then spotted her lawyers approaching them.  Subconsciously Matthew and Warrant Officer Wang moved to shield her, as Lexi quietly said, "They are my lawyers."

Upon hearing that Matthew relaxed knowing there was no threat to Lexi or himself.  Lexi quickly introduced them to Matthew and Warrant Officer Wang.

Out of the corner of Matthew's eye, he observed a woman in military uniform heading towards them.  As she arrived, she paused and snapped a salute, which Matthew and Warrant Officer Wang immediately returned, before saying "Colonel Rong, I am Lieutenant Bronwyn Li.  National Command has assigned me to assist you in this matter."

"Thank you, Lieutenant," promptly responded Matthew.

After taking the time to introduce her to Lexi's lawyers, Matthew felt Lexi tensing up beside him.  He slightly turned and observed her.  Her former in-laws were heading towards where they were standing.  Squeezing her hand, Matthew leant in and quietly said "Lexi do not worry.  They are out to cause you to react."

Lexi nodded, knowing that Matthew was right, but still this concerned her as they wanted to take Dominic from her care.  However, before she could respond, Lieutenant Li interrupted "Colonel, I believe it would be better if we took this discussion elsewhere.  Also, I need to clarify something with you." 

Hearing this Lexi's lawyers realised that there was something not quite right, and hurriedly led the way towards an interview room where they could talk before the matter went before the court.  As they seated themselves in the room Lexi's two lawyers stated "Ms Yao, Colonel.  Given how quick these proceedings have been listed we will have a discussion with Ms Yao's former in-laws' representatives to see what their position is today to determine where the matter will go."

Lexi, worried about the situation said "Fine," which prompted both them to leave the room.

Matthew spotting the opportunity said, "Warrant Officer Wang, can you step outside and make sure no one enters until we finish talking."

"Yes Sir." And with that Warrant Officer Wang stepped outside shutting the door.

Matthew, wanting to ensure their protection from recording devices, flipped the switch on the small jamming device in his pocket before turning to Lieutenant Li and stating "Lieutenant, what have you been told?"

"The truth, sir.  You might not remember me from national headquarters, but I am one of the lawyers assigned to deal specifically with matters involving members of the Special Forces and they families.  While we all are competent in most areas of law, my focus is assisting in matters such as this.  I know the background to your marriage and been specifically briefed.  My briefing included advice as to your true rank, General, and why that is not able to be disclosed, and specific advice on what I am able to say in a public arena."

Taking a breath, she continued "Madam Rong, I have also had access to and read the documents filed with the court.  Knowing what I do, I can easily prevent Dominic from being placed in the care of his paternal grandparents.  The question is for you Madam Rong, and you Sir, is how far do you want me to go?"

Lexi turned to Matthew surprised that his lawyer had information and was ready to go in hard.  Her own lawyer's position late Friday was that they had little hope in preventing Dominic going into the care of Richard's parents.

"What do you mean?"

"Madam Rong, there are a few ways we can approach this, but each has its own issues.  Given the General's position, anything that happens to Dominic has a national security implications.  That is difficult to disclose as there has not been appropriate vetting of everyone who will be in the court room to know that information, let alone I do not have the relevant orders from the capital to ensure that, even if the first problem was addressed, that at ensures its suppression of all information to protect National Security Information, but has the added issue of placing Dominic at Risk.  That is something I do not want to do."

"Secondly, I can run a version of that argument that the General's position means that before the court can make a decision military interests mean that all security vetting procedures have to be taken to determine whether the military will oppose the matter.  It does not create as many national security implications but only delays a decision.  The vetting not only includes your former in-laws Madam Rong, but all people in their household and any persons who would have contact with Dominic.  We will then have to return to court before the court can make any decision.  It simply delays matters, and that may not be what you want."

"We can, given the events before your marriage seek an order declaring your marriage to Richard Yao invalid due to your commitment to a military marriage with the General.  That commitment was not voided before your marriage and is a legitimate tactic.  That would invalidate the terms of your late husband's will, but it has implications for you, your family and Jax Corp with dealing with the share ownership as well as making Dominic in the eyes of many, which personally I believe is wrong, a bastard.  I do not understand how that places him with respect to potential inheritances with respect to Jax Corp, as some family companies have provisions to prevent illegitimate children inheriting anything."

"The final option, and that is the least effective, is that I can simply insist that due to the General's position and Dominic being his step-son, the military have an interest in being heard in the case.  Unlike the other options, which at least preliminary will ensure that Dominic remains in your care Madam Rong, this option means that we have no control over the court's decision today.  Of course, there are some variation on each of these options..."

"Lieutenant, the last thing I want is my stepson to be hurt.  I am leaning towards the second option.  We can delay at this time and enable my wife's lawyers to better prepare the case, rather than going into heavy right at the start, but we could use the threat regarding the marriage over them."

Liu Se came from a humble family but had relied on his sex appeal to become one of Princess Shanyin's male companions. Although this position aroused contempt, it also brought him hefty material benefits. Owing to his position, Liu Se's elder brother became a minor official and was living rather comfortably. Therefore, when Princess Shanyin no longer summoned them for enjoyment, it gave rise to Liu Se's concerns and worries about himself. He wondered whether he would thus fall into disfavor.
Chu Yu had arranged for servants to stand at the door to decline to receive any guest. They often turned them away with some excuse. He did not dare to rely on the little fondness that the Princess usually showered him with and insistently charged into her chambers. 
Upon arriving at the entrance of the Snow Garden, his senses were struck by the air of tranquility and serenity. Following the complicated path winding around the pavilions, Liu Se found Rong Zhi seated beneath the parasol tree.
Rong Zhi's head was lowered as he was absorbed in reading the bamboo scrolls. The contours and outline of his graceful profile glowed like the luster of fine jade. In the gaps amidst the luxuriant and well-spaced branches and leaves, he appeared to be very much carefree and leisurely. Apparently, Princess Shanyin's refusal to meet any male companions did not have the slightest degree of influence or effect on him.
Liu Se stepped on the small stones and pebbles of the patterned footpath which made a slight crunch that broke the tranquility of the garden. Rong Zhi lifted his head as his hand that was grasping the bamboo scrolls faintly paused before moving to deflect the sunlight above his head. He looked at Liu Se and smiled subtly. "Is something wrong?"
Seeking help from someone that he could not put up with since the first day he became one of Princess Shanyin's male companions, Liu Se's heart felt somewhat difficult and awkward. Nevertheless, he already felt comfortable being a male companion, so why should he mind this awkwardness? He hesitated a moment before letting go of his misgivings. "I wish to request you to have a look at the Princess. These few days, she never leaves the room and no longer summons us. Don't you find it strange?"
Rong Zhi slowly rose to his feet with one hand holding the bamboo scrolls. The wide sleeve of his snow-white garment gently dangled and lightly swayed along with the breeze. The garment was akin to being as light as the clouds and as gentle as the moon, and Liu Se looked upon it covetously. The fabric woven from this natural snow silk was extremely rare. There were only two bolts of the fabric in the entire residence, yet because the name of the garden where Rong Zhi resided in had a 'snow' character in it, thereby Princess Shanyin had given Rong Zhi all the fabric to tailor them into clothes.
This was not at all mere reason behind the name. Liu Se believed even if all of their names had the character 'Xue[3]' in it, Princess Shanyin would never have granted them even a single thread of the natural snow silk. 
For instance, if the West Court of the Princess's Imperial Residence was considered an Imperial harem, then the Princess's Prince Consort was akin to an Empress, but in reality, the one who held the rights and was the most favored concubine was actually Rong Zhi. No matter how countless the numbers of consorts could be, they were merely decorations to compliment the radiance that Rong Zhi exuded.
Rong Zhi set aside the bamboo scrolls and placed it within his wide sleeves as he smiled faintly. "Since the Princess has her own ideas, then why should we disturb her and add on to her troubles?"
Liu Se could no longer hold himself back and blurted out indignantly, "Of course, you have no cause for worry, but we..." His words suddenly trailed off.
Upon realizing he had unintentionally burst out his inner thoughts that contained the unfairness, discontent, and resentment he harbored deep in his heart, Liu Se immediately regretted his actions and words. Although he never liked Rong Zhi, he was aware of Rong Zhi's position in the Princess's Imperial Residence. One word from him could determine his fate. He should have never flared up and made such an outburst at this moment.
However, he could not suppress it any longer.
He hated Rong Zhi. His expression was always refined and elegant like the unscalable snowy ice atop a cold mountain, often making Liu Se involuntarily feel inferior.
They were all supposedly male companions, but why was he the only one who appeared so spotlessly white and pure?
Rong Zhi let out a light chuckle. It almost seemed like he totally did not take Liu Se's indignation to heart. At a moderate pace, he walked towards the entrance. "Alright, then in the light of your words, I shall go and have a look at the Princess."
Leaving the West Court and crossing through the center courtyard, the silhouette of Rong Zhi's strikingly elegant and graceful bearing appeared at the East Court where thereupon, he located Princess Shanyin's bedchamber. Since Rong Zhi possessed the privilege to roam around freely within the Princess's Imperial Residence, the guards in the courtyard did not stop him and he reflexively felt relieved.
Standing before the closed doors of the bedchamber, Rong Zhi slightly raised his clean and handsome jaw, yet his eyebrows knitted in contemplation. He was somewhat hesitating.
Without a doubt, he was indeed the one who understood the Princess best and was favored the most. However, after he heard the Princess's fearful scream, it appeared that something was terribly out of the ordinary for him to look past. He realized that ever since that fateful day, he could no longer read that beautiful lady's mind or even see through her feelings.
Rong Zhi frowned slightly as he desperately tried to recall back the circumstances of that day. The moment he was awoken by a scream, the first sight that greeted his eyes was a beautiful lady's panic-stricken, bewildered and even stunned expression.
Rong Zhi raised his face and took a very deep breath. The corners of his mouth turned up slightly into a wry smile.
He was not really willing to dwell on such recollections.
[1] parasol tree or Wutong tree – also known as the Phoenix tree. To the Chinese, the Phoenix tree was regarded as a symbol of good fortune and folklore has it that the Phoenix likes to inhabit the Phoenix tree. Therefore, in ancient times, the royal palaces, courts and houses loved planting Phoenix trees in order to "grow the Phoenix and lead the Phoenix." The Phoenix tree is also often mentioned in Chinese classics and poems as it plays an important role in Chinese culture.
[2] Ancient Chinese writings and scriptures are mostly transcribed on bundles of bamboo strips. These bamboo writing strips were joined or tied together to form whole scrolls.

From the depths of a deep and blissful slumber, Chu Yu awoke to the vague sense of someone beside her. Among four of five men that she saw sleeping around her when she awoke, one in particular, caught her eye.
'Who is he?'
With his unrivaled elegance and the air of supremacy around him, he gazed upon the princess and asked, "What's wrong, Princess? Did you have a nightmare?"
And with that, an uncontrollable chill rose up her spine that made her shiver despite the warmth of the room.
Is it a joke? Or is it destiny?

The bandits arrived outside of the gate with the rest of their spoils from the town, and then the leader of the bandits went ahead and rhythmically tapped his fist on the gate. A deep resounding knock could be heard from the gate. 

THUMP THUMP THUMP

After a few seconds the gate began to tremble and then it slowly opened and revealed a crack that is just large enough for the group of bandits and the luggage of girls into the mountain. Just before they went in they heard a deep and hoarse voice speak from inside the mountain, it sounded quiet but everyone heard it quite clearly.

"Back so quickly?" It sounded like it came from a man who has been through the vicissitudes of life, but it still held a kind of power that made everyone including the bandits to tremble "Hm.. and so many children this time?"

The bandit leader looked towards the rest of the group and nodded with his head to signal them to go outside, which they happily took that offer upon themselves. Then with his strength he dragged carriage of cages through the mountain.

The path he walked on had a long carpet that extended out into the distance, it was a colour similar to the lush greenery outside but it also seemed spiritual. That was laid on top of an organised stone brick floor, the bricks were polished until you could almost use it like a mirror and could see the flickering of the torch lights that accompany you walking through the mountain. It was very minimal but like ingredients mixed into a pot, it gave off a very grand aura that refreshes your mind and puts you at attention.

At the end of the carpet was a table with many books and other things that a cultivator often uses scattered cross it. Some of these books gave off an eerie feeling, but to Shen Zhengqiu she found it somewhat comfortable, almost familiar. Sitting on a chair that was slightly bigger than those around it, a well-groomed old man sat flipping through a book quite casually, seemingly waiting for something.

Clack

When the sound of the bandit stopping and kneeling in front of the table was heard, the man lifted his head and put the book down with the cover facing the ceiling and looked deeply at the bandit kneeling reverentially but also out of fear in front of him. His eyes were a black that seemed to contain more stars than the night sky and were full of wisdom, this complemented his wrinkled appearance. He didn't look weak or frail, but it almost looked like a young man who was at his peak and full of vigor, perhaps because of the 'goods' in front of him.

"Yu.." He spoke clearly and slowly, such that time seemed to slow down "Well done, you may leave now and if I find what I need I shall fulfill my promise"

A glint of excitement but also worry flashed in the bandit leader's eyes. He would truly be happy if his current master found what he needed, but after months of searching he couldn't find it, but if he did get it. Greed escaped from his heart. Him and his men would be able to feast like an Emperor for as long as they have been searching. But what he truly wanted was a new sword, perhaps he will keep some money with his other savings. He then cleared his mind, bowed slightly and replied "Yes, Grandmaster Zhen"

Once doing so, he walked past the cages of the girls and glanced at them briefly, a flicker of envy appearing in him. He knew that although this master of his seemed perverted from the eyes of his brothers, due to his rather strange request but he knew that the girls who listened to him did get treated well. An example of that could be found by a few girls cleaning around the hall, making sure everything was perfect and shining.

When he left, the gate started to creak before slowly closing and blocking out the light of the sun. Grandmaster Zhen looked at the group of terrified girls with hope in his eyes, although he seemed full of vigor but that was only because he was quite excited at the possibility of advancing into a legendary realm. The truth is that he is nearing the end of his lifespan and is quite anxious at the prospect of himself dying, resulting in him turning to techniques that honestly don't sit right with himself. He would feel pity towards the victim, but that is all there is to it as his life is the most important after all.

He clapped his hand three times summoning a few fair looking maids and ordered them to find a place for the caged girls to stay. He was quite absorbed in his book and will make time for the girls later.

From her comfortable home to it being burnt down in the bandit's attack and then being put in a cramped and uncomfortable cage, Shen Zhengqiu now finds that she is in quite a spacious room with a few of the other girls who travelled with her and a maid that stood by the entrance.

"If you listen to master well and do not disrespect him, he won't treat you unfairly" The maid remarked softly gazing at the girls in front of herself. She sighed slightly and hoped whatever that master of hers wanted would be found soon, otherwise more innocent people will be continuously getting dragged into the mess. Although she does listen to Grandmaster Zhen, but that's purely out of no choice, she would actually want to tear his throat out but she needs to live first to enjoy that. The maid then turned around and disappeared from the entrance under the blank stare of the girls.

Some of them started sobbing quietly whilst the others quickly found their own beds and laid down in them mentally exhausted. As for Shen Zhengqiu, she went to the bed furthest in the corner away from the entrance and sat according to the manual her Ancestor gave her. She was reading through it in her mind earlier and didn't really pay much attention to her surroundings, so she always had a blank sort of gaze on her.

After getting comfortable enough and sitting in a lotus position, she ran through the [Heavenly Lotus Manual]. It was considered as an incomplete manual if learned by people who haven't awakened the Spirit Demon blood as after reaching a certain realm there is nothing else to work on. However, Spirit Demons have a natural instinct and create a path suitable for themselves, thus resulting in generations of Spirit Demons that are distinct. Through the passage of time, the manual has been refined and is the most compatible with the conditions of Spirit Demons, their Pure Yin Constitution and perfect comprehension.

Sitting in that position for just above an hour and breathing in a strange but harmonious way, Shen Zhengqiu had large beads of sweat dripping from her body and could feel an itchy and painful feeling on her bones. The Spiritual Qi within the air was trying to enter her bones, but it ended up not doing a lot. She opened her eyes and wiped the sweat off her forehead and then stood up. Although listening to the manual made her sweat and ache in her bones quite a bit, but she felt full of energy. However, she really didn't like this sweaty feeling.

Walking from her bed, Shen Zhengqiu arrived in front of the boiling water in the centre of the room. It sprouted through the floor and made a pool forming a natural spring and constantly emitted steam. She was going to take her clothes off before jumping in, but then she shook her head and kept them on. They weren't all that clean and it was only the inner wear she uses to sleep in as the bandits took off everything else, which made the rest of the pure maidens deeply ashamed but she wasn't all that bothered as she has lived mostly without her sight and didn't really care too much of what others thought, it's just that it was a bit cold.

Dipping her toe in, unlike the burning sensation you would expect the water to give, it gave off a very soothing and warm feel. When she felt that, Shen Zhengqiu had no reservations and just sunk herself into the spring till it was just below her chin. Her hair floated on the surface while she let out and audible moan.

If she had to be honest, this was the most blissful bath she has ever taken. Usually she only uses a boiled pot of water and then washes herself down with it, but with this she can immerse herself in it relaxing her body.

She slowly fell asleep, totally unaware of how her actions caught the rest of the girls attention making them join her, but they didn't have the audacity to do so in their clothes and stripped till entering the soothing spring.

This novel won't have romance, sorry about the genre but that's the best I could do.

like I have told you earlier this book is all about my weight Loss journey, I'm still on it, I will be recording my progress or any dilemma (which I will never wished for anything like this to happened to me or anyone).

I'm a female.

let's start with my age 21years old, I'm severely obesed because I'm 200+ pounds with a height of 170,(I'm really not good at sharing such an information with you, and I bet some of you will also not be comfortable at sharing such I huge amount of weight with anyone) is there anyone reading this with weight more than 200 pounds? 

How will you feel about this, did you think it will be easier for you to share such a huge amount of weight with everybody?.

I have not write this book to fat shame anybody but let me start by saying that carrying excessive weight is not easy on me, (At least I'm speaking for myself, please don't get offended).

I was obesed or overweighted since childhood, you know what I mean by it not easy, and thing is that I'm the only overweighted person in our house, my parent are both overweighted but not as much as I am, and they only get fat after they have all past 30+, because on childhood they are slim like the rest of my siblings.

I went to a school that I'm among the top ten most overweighted individuals, which before I graduated I'm the 1-3 overweighted, it is really sad that only if you are in my position will you understand what I mean.

I was Bullied by my school mates, calling me lots of names, some of them even went far as to calling me the mother of all my schoolmates (No offence, but you all know that fats makes some people to look a little bit older), I remember when we are writing our finals, when some boys come to pass by our school, but did you know what the said to me without even knowing me or who I'm?. Police Dog! I remember that day I cried with tears filled in my eyes, and that is how I usually sleep when I'm in middle and high school always crying to bed, but that one especially offended me alot.

You know that feeling when your friends are all telling you about there relationship but you have nothing to tell them, that's my highschool (No offence). If you get my point *shrugged*.

let me not talked to much so that I will not offend anyone at the end.

But I will like to advise anybody who like bullying people that it is time to stop because you will never know the impact it usually has on people. *trying to control my tears* because if I continue I might cry.

2. About my weight lose trials before

I will start by telling you that I have try alot of diet and so much more on my life.

The first time that I realized that I'm obese and I need to lose some weight was when I was 11years old. Most of the people who came to our house will tell me or my parents that I'm really getting fat, I should exercise and reduce my food intact, so did you know what I tried to do by that time?. I started to exercise every summer, but at the end I ended up gaining some weight instead of reducing it. 

They second time that I tried to do something about my weight was when I was 12, I stop eating, just so that I could lose the weight, but at the end I ended up developing a burning pain which is bordering me when I ever I stay away from food for more than half a day till now. I couldn't do this more than 2 days. just called this a starvation diet.

There are Times, when people will tell my parents to buy me slimming tea, So I decided to give it a try but to no valid, I have never lose an inch or quarter inch when I drink any slimming tea in this world. it is really one of the saddest part of my life.

After that, I thought that maybe I might never lose any weight in my life, so I just ended up research and reading people's journey and how they do it, which makes me sad, seeing people loss weight while I will never loss it.

One time when I was about to graduate from high school, really try some randoms diet because I never what to face what I faced on highschool in the college, but at the end I lose a very small amount of weight which I regain due to the too much restriction in each and every diet I followed, like

Keto - you will have to stay away from carbs.

low calorie- it only add to my burning stomach pain.

and so much more that makes me to just waste lots of money at the end which was never worth it.

later on I came to realize that they a lots of weight loss couches or fitness couch online that I can really on, but did you know what, they all want to design some meal plan for you which is never worth it at the end.

Lots of meal plans are either expensive or you will struggle to find that food in your area since we both live in different parts of the world or courtries our foods varies, Meal plans are just money making machine, most of the monthly meal plans are around 10-200$ which is some what expensive for me, and it is only for a month or little more. And if I buy this what about the rest of the months what about weight loss maintenance.

I came to realized that nobody needs all this stuff if he wants to lose a large amount of weight and maintain in a long run since you cannot starved, count calories, or buy meal plans, or restrict yourself for the rest of your life.

I discovered the best way that I could lose weight without all this.

But the main thing is that you just need a basic information and you will find out the rest by yourself, no need for this much stressed if I or you really want to lose weight and maintain.

this is just an informative chapter I will discuss about my journey in the rest.
