Clear Sky Knife Luo… Little Silver felt like he had heard this title from somewhere; it sounded very familiar!
Because Grandfather Wang had been occupied these last few days with honing his knife skills, Mother Wang was now responsible for making all the meals in the Wang family. Ever since she stopped writing to become a housewife, she actually learned a lot of life skills. Apart from managing the household, she spent all her free time taking all kinds of qualification exams.
Mother Wang had taken especial care with the dishes tonight and had meticulously planned the pairing of the meat and vegetables.
The first dish was crystal radish. This was an imported ingredient which was very expensive. However, it just so happened to be on sale today, and she had bought two of them in passing. One she saved for another time, while she sliced the other and stir-fried it with shredded meat. She called this dish: stir-fried radish king.
The meat dish was vegetable meatballs, also called vegetable lion's head[1]. It was made with a mix of diced broccoli and meat rolled into balls with egg and flour. Broccoli actually wasn't the original vegetable ingredient, but they couldn't finish all the broccoli they had at the Wang family home. As a result, every time Mother Wang left home, she would take a few bags of broccoli with her to give out.
Although broccoli had been used as the vegetable substitute, which made the lion's head less chewy, that didn't stop Wang Ling from enjoying it. Since it was a little more troublesome to make this dish, Mother Wang would usually only make it if they had visitors, which proved just how much Mother Wang liked Little Silver!
Oh, that was right, Mother Wang named the dish: lion's head eating vegetables.
With the remaining two dishes, one was Wang Ming's favorite coral grouper; it was a pity he wasn't there today. The other dish was tonight's soup; it was a mushroom soup made with imported C mushrooms and bottled mushrooms[2], which was very good for the intestines.

If Master was already so awesome, then how strong was Senior Wang… there definitely had to be some lessons to be gleaned from the novel!

Previously, Little Silver had wondered if there was a way for him to make money without needing to leave the house! He had looked online for a long time and had only found some positions for freelance typists, half of which were probably fake.
After living at Grenade-Throwing Senior Immortal's place for so long, Little Silver felt that he needed to learn to rely on himself!
And just then, he was hugely inspired by "Senior Wang."

Little Silver looked at him with a very earnest expression.

Today, God decided it was the first day of my monthly subscription of Satan's waterfall. I was on the pain the whole day. Super busy. I got slammed, no matter what time of the day. And to his surprise when he saw the download statistics on his computer screen, the game has been downloaded for more than a thousand times in just the span of a few hours after it released and its still rising, this meant that the income he got from players playing with monthly subscription will be more than $100.000 Dollar and that is only from the subscription alone not including the in-game purchases!!!

But Matt is currently very confused about why this surge of player downloading AXION happened. Based on his deduction AXION won't become this popular until Monday next week and currently now is Friday so there is still a few days left before people take notice of the game and naturally takes its course to become popular on its own.

"Unless... Unless there is something or somebody that made this happen early!" Matt thought while smiling.

He then opened a search engine and typed 'AXION' on the search bar and searched it, what came out was tons of website talking about his game and how excellent and good it was.
The one that intrigued him the most is a video uploaded showcasing the gameplay, contents, and graphics of the game.
When he saw the view numbers he got surprised because it got more than a million view within just a few hours making this video VIRAL!!!

To be honest Matt is very happy that this happened, not only he got the money needed to establish his game studio but also he got free advertisement from people that uploaded their experience playing the game to the internet.

Melinda could  hear the shuffling of footsteps approaching after she had knocked on the front door. After a couple of clicks and an unlatching, the front door opened revealing a medium height individual of middle age dressed in nightly attire. A welcoming smile came across his face as he said, come in! Come in!
How can I be of assistance, asked Tim as he led Melinda to his workshop. While being led down the hall, Melinda saw pictures of a young lady who use to be the daughter of Tim. Though the pictures were old, she did seem like someone with 'taste.'

Melinda sat on a stool in Tim's workshop as he stood before her, waiting for her request. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the green gem.
'Ohhhh very pretty' he said amusingly.
Can you put it in a locket? Something that I can keep with me at all times, she asked as she handed it to him?
Tim thought for a bit and then said, I can do something better. Then he walked over to his workstation in the corner to get started on crafting 'something'.

This was the first time that Melinda had been in this room since she began coming here. She could remember the first time that they had met and how she ended up here to have breakfast.
She had been out, after midnight trying to clear her head and just be away from home on that day.
While sitting on the pavement, she started to be harass by two individuals who were clearly intoxicated. She ignored them until one started to reach to her because she was ignoring him. It was at that moment that another hand intercepted his and gripped it firmly.

"Can't you see that the young lady isn't interested," this middle age man said.
Old man! Don't be a 'blocker' was the returned response.
Melinda was unable to see the middle age man's face because he was facing the two guys but something he did caused the men to immediately get clear headed and leave. When he had turned around, he introduced himself as Tim.
Even though, he didn't have to do that for a stranger, he told Melinda that she reminded him of someone so he intervened.  Why are you out this late, though he continued?
Just wanted some fresh air, Melinda responded.
With a smile, he stated that he was about to make breakfast and Melinda was welcome to join him if wanted.
Melinda looked at what seemed like a non threatening individual who stood with two grocery bags dressed in an old worn out shirt and a knee height jeans.
"You don't even need to come in, he assured. We'll eat in the gallery."
He had made eggs and bacon that morning which they ate on the front steps. It was there that she told him about her troubles at home and why she was 'taking a walk.'
"One of the greatest lessons a human being can learn is how to stand tall in the face of adversity!"
"Learn from it and rise above it! Rise above your adversity!"

Melinda mediated on those words that he had told her that day. There was definitely wisdom to it.
I had never asked you, Melinda said out loud. What had happened to your daughter?

She drowned was the response from Tim as he approached Melinda with a thick silver chain with a silver pendant. In the pendant was the green gem that she had given him earlier. 
A gift he said with a smile. Take good care of it was the words said.
I will, Melinda responded.

Melinda looked up at the afternoon sun as she stepped unto the pavement. Pulling out her cell phone, she realized that she had two messages. They were from a person that she considered a good friend. It reads
'Your crush has been asking about you. If you had showed up at school today. Maybe he finally wants to ask you out. XD'

The other message reads
'Your monthly subscription to Comic Book Mania is about to expire. Please log on to check our new renewal rates for continued service. Do have a great day.'

Melinda closed her flip phone and headed towards the university.

This was like selling someone a rice cooker, but not giving them any rice. It was a completely shameless way of doing things.
"Please watch your words. Any piece of iconic music is a manifestation of its creator's blood, sweat, and tears. Countless time and effort have gone into each piece, and many musicians sacrificed their entire youth to create such brilliant compositions. Don't you feel obliged to acknowledge their efforts by purchasing the genuine versions of their music?" the system urged.
"I do support purchasing genuine versions of music. Those people who claim that they love music but buy pirated versions of compositions are absolutely disgraceful." Mag put on a serious expression as he said, "However, there are many websites that offer access to genuine versions of music for free monthly subscriptions. How much are you going to charge for a monthly subscription?"
"The system will not be providing any free music, nor any monthly subscription service!" the system replied.
"Also, this is an alternate world! How can you measure an iconic song's worth here according to prices on Earth? An iconic composition is priceless in this world!" The system's voice was becoming quite vehement.
"Then how much do you plan on charging per song?" Mag asked.
"At least… 10 gold coins per song?" The system's voice was a little uncertain.
"Didn't you say that they were priceless?" Mag pursed his lips with a hint of disdain.
"Priceless is just an adjective to describe very high prices. There are many items that are known as priceless treasures, but once they're put up for sale, a price tag will inevitably be pinned onto them. Thus, the price for these priceless pieces is 10 gold coins per piece." The system provided an explanation.
"These are songs that you can download for five bucks, but you're selling them to me for 1,000 each; do you think I'm stupid?" Mag rolled his eyes, and as he went downstairs, he asked, "Setting aside the music thing for now, I'm more curious about what this omniscient door is. I can understand assessing someone's power level and physical condition, but why their three measurements and gender? Are there ladyboys in this world as well?"

Mag continued to make his way downstairs. According to what the system had told him, not only had there been some hardware upgrades, some rights had also been unlocked. From this day forth, he could experiment with dishes that weren't on the menu.
However, the diversification of the restaurant's dishes was taking place at quite a fast rate, so he wasn't planning on making any new dishes anytime soon.
What he was far more interested in was his new right to teach others how to cook. Yabemiya had always expressed her interest in cooking. She had never asked him to teach her, and had always tried to avoid looking while he was cooking, but she was very bad at hiding her actual thoughts.
"Perhaps I can teach Miya some simple dishes, like making ice cream and things like that. If she wants to learn the more complex dishes, I can slowly teach her those as well," Mag murmured to himself as he came downstairs, and flicked on the light switch.
After the lights were switched on, he discovered that the restaurant didn't appear to have changed much. The sound system was hidden, so Mag wasn't sure what the sound quality and effect would be like.
A metal frame had been added to the restaurant's doorframe, and it appeared to be a decorative feature, but Mag knew that that was the so-called omniscient door.
The effects of the door had yet to be assessed, but with the features that the system boasted, it should be able to give Mag some forewarning when powerful beings came into his restaurant, as well as present him with a better understanding of his customers.
He then opened the restaurant door and walked outside, upon which his eyes immediately lit up.
The patch of land in front of the restaurant was no longer vacant. There were four square tables and matching chairs positioned in an orderly formation, but those didn't appear to be wooden furniture like the ones in the restaurant. Instead, they were all metallic, with a light brown coating of paint that gave them a woody look.
There was a small lamp with a black and white shell in each corner, and they were just bright enough to illuminate all four tables. Their light didn't cross over each other's, and produced a very warm and romantic atmosphere.
"Perfect."
Mag nodded with a content expression.

The narration for the tournaments trailer was amazing, but it went behind just what was being said to what was being shown. Endless strips of stable land, deserts, mountains, tundra and actual floating islands. There were battling platforms placed in the strangest of places, and then civilizations that seemed stuck in a stone age. Their fur clothes clinging heavily to their body, and even though they all had different races to fall back on, they all just looked like the were prehistoric.

Terra truly was a land untouched by technology, but it had magic and it very much had conflicts. There were werewolves and vampires, demons and what looked like angels. These placed seemed to be a little bit more supernatural than Gaia and the universe she was in, but that's understandable, when your basing it on the timeline, magic or not, a bunch of things would be attributed to gods and weird voodoo by the people of this era.

After the trailer, another one for the (A.R.I) Was shown, especially with the pitch that streaming services would be available for players and people who would be more willing to watch the tournament rather than participate. Of course to enjoy the streaming service a monthly subscription was required, but it was affordable for everyone, but of course said service would also be limited as there were three stages to it.

 The basic subscription, the premium subscription and the premium VIP subscription, each one correlating to the amount of popularity and power the individual or guild being streamed had.
For example an ordinary player looking to make his way in Terra could be watched by others using the basic streaming service, but once said player has a modicum of Fame and is quite popular amongst others, his subscription service would be bumped up to the premium. Also players have to register for the streaming service, they'll sign a bunch of legal documents, but on e the game starts, they earn a portion of the proceeds from the subscription service and a little bit more from viewers willing to gift said player money for his or her efforts.

The premium VIP would have really famous guilds and players in it right from the start, a contract has probably been sent to all of them by now, and there's no way they would disagree as quite a bit of money can and will be earned from it. Also there was also a measure of security, from the premium subscription upwards, players with subscriptions of their own will not be able to stream other players within the tournament. This is so that the secrets of players would be protected, sure people from the real world will see and probably expose it, but that's an attempt to keep an element of surprise and have every guild and player be at the tip of their toes. All in all it as a well thought out plans, seems like a cash grab scheme to me, but nevertheless the augmented reality interface had more practical applications in real life than to just serve as a portable television.

I switched of the holographic screen in front of me, only for me to get hit on my thigh. I looked down at Ron, he was just staring at the screens and now I had turned it off, I didn't even notice he was there, I looked at the time and had to grimace, it was a little past 2am and we both should be asleep. But those eyes of his, they're impossible to say no to.

"Five minutes! I don't care what you say or how cute you look, but after this we're both going to bed, deal!" he looked at my outstretched hand and then back to my face, then he raised his hands up asking me to carry him up. I couldn't help but sigh, I knew just as he knew that it didn't matter what deal I offered, he was going to get what he wanted no matter what. The holographic screen came up again, this time it was showing a simple map. Of Terra that was released to the public and preparations for the guilds hoping to establish their kingdoms, this was so they could plan ahead.

Of course not all information about the lay of the land was given, but there was enough to understand a basic demographic and make a choice. And then Ron moved his finger, pointing to a spot at the north-western edge of a continent right in the middle of Terra. It was uneven like most continents tend to be, but it was in the shape of a half moon, and the spot Ron was pointing at was right at the beginning of a mountain range, close to the western sea, to the east was a push and expansive forest that actually expanded to the ocean, a little ways south was the beginning of a desert, and North was the mountain range.

The spot was covered with trees and green, showing that it was also a part of the forest, setting up anything there was akin to being in the middle of nowhere, the only place that there seems to be access to it, was from the desert in the south. This was not a detailed map, so it's hard to tell if they're any official roads leading to that spot, but seeing as this world was rather primitive I would say no. It was right in the middle of nowhere, however...…

"Ron my sweet boy you're a genius!" I said to him as I pulled him close and gave a big fat missing his cheek and hugged him tighter. He giggled, probably a little bit tickled by the small beard that had grown on my face(I need to shave that). Then he turned and said.

"Go play there?" I raised an eyebrow, lost descendants online since it's inception has only been open to 18 year olds and above due to it's very graphic and adult nature, however maybe it time we bent the rules a bit. I quickly typed a message to the virtual reality department with a detailed plan, then I turned to Ron and said.

"Don't worry, daddy will go make a playground for you there, and then you can come play." I said to him with a smile as he nodded and continued to stare at the map.

The spot he had chosen was pretty much isolated from the rest of the world, we might be quite far away from.
Civilization, but we had access to all of the natural resources we would need to survive. The sea to the west, a mountain to the north, a desert to the South and if all should go well, a forest to the east or rather completely around us. But it was not just the idea of the resources, it was the idea of a place where the dragons could hatch without being discovered too early, where they can grow, and learn and train with everything they would ever need made available to them.....my very own dragon army.

Dragons, elves, pirates, and magic...in space!  Follow Aaron as he travels through a game world to gain clues to his dead mother's past, clues that would open up a new world for him.  All while trying to balance a child and a multibillion corporation left to him by a grandfather, who was more father than grandfather.  A scheming family, an assassin old maid, and a possible romance, all lead to a wild ride as two very different lives clash to make up the life of Aaron Wade.
