Meanwhile the man's eyelid moved up in a sudden seemed to be nervous about something, but didn't have enough stamina to move up. Arno leaned him back, "Hush, calm down man! Let me help you with this before it makes you done".
"Yes, we can't stay here, the dark is coming, already we are moving at snail`s pace", Silman added.
Arno heaved a sigh out and slowly nodded, got back to cleaning part, fetid black blood dried over worm-eaten skin he gently moved the bandage through it. It smelled bad already and teased his nose.
Crystal couldn't watch that and turned her face to Everin.
"Can you tell us what your name is?" Silman asked and sat on a rock near them watching around vigilantly. Deserts were safe till no food could be found for wildlings and monsters so now you could consider them as delicious meals especially at nights.
"Mohan…coughed", an afflicted tone blustered, "Wilson…Groune", he slightly honed.
"Are you done brother? We shall ride now, before dark hunt us". Silman emphasized and stood up.
"His wound will be safe, Come help me to mount him on my horse he can't come all alone", he pushed Mohan forth to seat and Silman came along to help him stand on his feet.

It was early twilight when they arrived near the forest entrance. You could see the Apple Bower board as they passed it and turned to a narrow route, hooves thumped muddy earth leaving deep prints. Dead soaked leaves pressed on holes that they left behind.   
There was a safe house across them, slowed down their speed, a lodge in Airson's forest. Silman jumped down quickly to give a hand to Arno.
Arno helped Mohan to get down and Silman managed him to not founder out of vertigo. Their guest was weak with a blurry vision hardly could guess where he is barely able to realize, what they are talking about only heard words cutting and between them heard a familiar name which ringed a bell to him, "Atendor". He whispered, "The elf… magician", he may knew what he is saying, but for others it was just peddling delusion due to his condition.
They posited him on bed then the world swirled into a deep dark.
"We are going to make some foods you clean the wound, we shall feed him or no longer this way he can hang on". Everin lifted her bag on the table and leaded crystal to kitchen.
They had spent a leaps and bounds trip, dusty and tired of the way, but saving him was a priority. Arno tried to wake him up and keep him conscious, but his brain was trolling over another world.
Silman joined the group recently still wasn't familiar with Airson and safe houses, but he had reasons to be a part of this team, he believed that silence must be broken as long as people getting eaten like his younger brother. Nothing can help them survive if they stay still such as a plant that got no way to escape from fire, what can burn it so easy. Now it was the time of using hands and legs in a redeemer path to get rid of injustice.   
He gave a favor to Arno and unbraced Mohan's clothes.

Now it proven them there must be more monster kinds around and they wished to not meet a winged one. Battling the ones in the sky wasn't that easy to face.

Silman walked to outdoors after that situation he needed fresh air. He took a deep breath and whispered, "What on earth had happened to this guy? Sighed!"
"Was it first time you see people in such a pain?" Everin leaned right on a pier.
He bitterly grinned and said, "No, I saw even worse".
"Which kind of that?" she seemed very curious about him.
"My younger brother was getting eaten by a hell-spirit monster and I could save only half of his body to bury him". His fist clenched as he finished his statement.
"I'm truly sorry for your lost, if I knew that I wouldn't remind you such a grief", she regretted to open that conversation.
"It's fine, Lorena arrived in a right time. If it wasn't for her I had the same fate as his, I owe her a life".

"Was he able to eat his supper?" he asked.
"It was a simple broth, but he could hardly eat a bit of it, Arno gave him some medicine he fell asleep. I'm here to call you for dinner".
"Oh thank you, but I don't think if I can eat". He disgusted to see that wound and smell.

So this is the key. Surely I have to thank this gauntlet for finally giving me a valuable outset. I am sure that this was triggered by the gauntlet because I also touched this place earlier but nothing happened though it could be the location itself. What's important is that something is happening now.
What is it doing though? Makiell guessed that the answer for the password but this time it's a switch lays on the gauntlet as it obviously is.
He pursed his lips remembering his actions from earlier. Makiell just shook his head to forget about it as the answer he's looking for is right here.
At that moment, the white dots disappeared and he retracted his hand from shock.
What's going on? His expression sank and his eyes constricted from disbelief. Something is definitely happening, why did it suddenly stop?
He froze and stood still waiting for the mirror wall to perform its trick again.
Makiell wanted to repeat his actions but before he could do so, a white circle ten times bigger than the small dots from earlier appeared. The circle separated itself like it was cut and was split into half in a diagonal motion, another one appeared and the circle has a big X on it with four equal parts. Each part is separated by lines; it looks like a pie although there's a noticeable distinction at a section on the upper-left similar to a black sheep being lost in a herd of white sheep. It's a black sheep alright but this one's red.
Makiell touched the red section but he withdrew it rapidly as the section swelled and the rest of the parts converged in a clockwise motion. The red section then 'spat out' on a counter-clockwise motion the other sections forming a large red circle, but they're not separated this time.
After that, red lines emerged at the base of the circle. Linear patterns appeared similar to wires intertwining together. But as the amount of lines increased with smaller ones surfacing from those they appeared to be roots expanding their influence.
They expanded rapidly as they covered the whole wall and possibly the whole building too. He waited for any further action from the red circle.
The red circle then pulsed for three subsequent times then it glowed afterwards. The lines followed suit. Anyone would think that it's kind of disturbing, seeing such a bright red light glow they would typically think that it's something dangerous or something like a warning. But it was different for him. Makiell felt warmth while looking at it- psychologically speaking.
The red circle divided itself again but horizontally this time as it opened like a capsule. In between the two halves of the circle a number one '1' one could be seen but quickly as it came the faster it's gone. When the '1' dispersed, the circle made a twisting motion similar to a whirlpool and finally formed a string of random unfamiliar characters. It started changing once again as if calculating something; this reminded Makiell of a (teller).
The same actions continued until it formed some recognizable characters one by one.

To be honest he was only startled for a bit since this was in the area of his expectations. The string of characters formed letters and finally a word in language. The common language of many nations in his world- Marlanese.
He could think of possible explanations and guesses such as; this being the same as his world but possibly but inwardly he is not so sure mostly being in a different timeline, or that the language closely resembled the one he is mostly familiar with; Marlanese. Lastly, this is automatically translated from another language which from his own outlook is an advanced technology.
Makiell is getting more and more eager to discover objects and mechanisms that couldn't be found in his world. He is pumped up to explore further and learn more.
He stood there looking at the now disintegrated text and the line patterns that lost their glow. Everything that's happening on the mirror wall paused as the radiance dulled until a red and grey polygon appeared with layers of lines and drawn patterns.
Like the red circle earlier this too made certain actions similar to a turning of gears and other mechanisms. The polygon altered its shape constantly without a pause, sometimes a circle, a square or a triangle and other shapes he couldn't bother to name. Then it stopped with the shape of a hexagon with a circle inside it.
This new circle has separated sections too but this time the lines were curved, then it rotated like a wheel making the lines too blurry to look at. The sections shortened and a small black circle grew in size at the middle. The small black circle stopped growing bigger maintaining its current size similar to a large button.
The figure stilled as if seeking for a confirmation.

The polygon figure made another movement the same as earlier but in a reversed manner similar to a film that's playing backwards. It dispersed completely and the lines around the building retracted where it came from.
Everything is back to normal, the same way it was earlier before he touched the mirror wall. The gauntlet is still the same as he didn't bother to fiddle with it anymore and he have no idea how to return it back to its wristband form.
At this time a series of pattern appeared and lines forming the shape of a door, an entryway could be seen. As if a latch was turned, series of clinking sounds could be heard. The door was opened sideward with a loud sound. He already made it here and the door is finally open so he doesn't have any more reason to back out and look for another possible solution to his thirst, hunger, and curiosity.
On the outside the mirror building looks grand with its size and peculiar design so Makiell is expecting that on the inside it would be too and it would contain stuff worth looking into at the least the ones that would be valuable in his eyes.
Makiell turned his gaze towards the entrance but all he could see is a dark expanse that could go on without limit while feeling the cold air surging at his feet.
Makiell stepped forward and enter the building and felt the sudden surge of cold air that permeated through his bones. This couldn't be compared to the one earlier and although Makiell is used to a cold weather however he didn't expect it to be this intense and maybe because his body now isn't use to this or it's just that this building is a giant freezer that could rival the polar region.
He clamped his right hand to his other arm to repress the cold on his shoulders and on the contrary his arm with the gauntlet doesn't seemed to be affected by any of this as it remained the same without any noticeable changes.
Makiell moved a few steps forward. The door shifted and closed the only exit visible. He was shaken as his only way out had been sealed off and Makiell can't help but to wonder how he is going to go out later but that didn't disturb the thrill he is experiencing at the moment. He is spooked for a moment as his vision is momentarily obstructed by great span of darkness that enveloped the whole place.
He was at a loss for a short time as he pondered how to make a light or switch the button if there's one.
Makiell moved closer to the wall to check if there's a switch present and if there would be a response like earlier. Nothing happened as there were no response and any of the like.
Makiell 'looked' at the gauntlet and examined it if it can help him in any way at his current situation. He touched the polygon at the center of the back of his hand and stroked it. There's a response.
Light outlined the polygon figure as it glowed a bright silver light that's a great contrast to the red color of the polygon.
The silver light glowed at one side of the polygon in a certain direction and it continued to illuminate the area one direction at a time until the light retracted and the polygon shined a bright red projection of a cubic shaped object.
The projection was similar to the shape and composition of this building and as he was going to inspect if it really was the building's exact image it blurred and the image itself distorted which left Makiell at a loss since if it's really accurate he would be able to clearly identify the structure of the building as well as what is being contained inside and the possible things that he might encounter.
The image disappeared and Makiell is disappointed by this. However, the projection might be gone but the silver light is still illuminating the surrounding in a simultaneous direction this time and because of that he could now see his surroundings clearly similar to a flashlight but with a few shade of red lines from the polygon making another image projection and it always end up being distorted.
Makiell touched the polygon again after had made sure that any attempt would only be futile so he stopped it as to not disturb him.
He surveyed the area while walking. He looked at the sides and noticed that there are no walls visible and he couldn't ascertain how long the distance was stretched afar. As he was to retaliate he found himself now in prison. This made him curse and think that everything he tried to do today never succeeded. He lamented and ridiculed himself "I thought that this sort of thing will make one powerful, blessed, and invincible? Then why do I seemed to be plagued with bad luck?"

Little did he knew that it was just a small matter and is only the tip of the iceberg. With his new identify he soon found out about 'this person', who he currently is. He traveled through different galaxies to shove away this 'bad luck' and retaliate against his fate. 

This story is set to the far future where technology has advanced throughout thousands of centuries. Many possibilities had borne fruit. Makiell found his pitiful self in a deadlock but it's better than actually being caught and die.

"I was just wondering, the zombies should be dropping a natural Soul Essence after I've killed so many of them. The forty-fourth Star is done!"
Mo Fan was in a great mood. When he saw countless zombies lunging into the flames, turning into green light dots floating into his Pendant, he simply felt like countless gold coins were floating toward him!

Mo Fan was just about to kill the creature with Lightning when a horrifying shriek came from behind him.
Mo Fan turned around and saw a line of green poisonous liquid spraying toward him. Leaving aside how corrosive the poison was, the speed it was traveling at was enough to penetrate a wall of bricks!

The humanoid shark tossed the bloody bones of the fish to the side and picked the small chunks of meat out of his sharp teeth with his sharp fingers. " Follow me." You're going to love this city so much you won't want to leave." The humanoid shark was obviously a tour guide. Typhoon spat Earthquake out of his mouth, causing him to drop to the ground like a sack of potatoes. " Let me ask you this question." Earthquake wiped the blood from his face and said: " What?" Why did you join The Industrial Elven Empire?" To rub it in our face?" Earthquake sucked his teeth. " I am my own man." I can do whatever I want and whatever I want." Fuck you and everybody else who doesn't agree with me." All I'm trying to do is go on the winning side." Typhoon sucked his teeth. " Whatever." Since I joined The Royal Elven Empire I am obligated to kill you since you are on the opposing them." But I'll do you a solid and let you go."  Draco has this plan to resurrect King Elric." Earthquake walked past Typhoon and said: never mention this to anyone." Typhoon nodded and said: Got it." Just don't ever come around the ocean again." I won't hesitate to kill you next time." Earthquake sucked his teeth and flew out of the Typhoon's domain.

He saw the great big smokestacks of the factories, and the grey brick that made up the structures of the buildings made to shelter over 200 people as they worked. Magnus marveled at the architecture of the centers of labor and income that he was about to destroy.

Getting out of the car, Magnus lifted up the cushion in the back seat, revealing the automatic rifle he had found in the trenches. He pick up the rifle and the bag of explosives, now light after his excursion in the research facility. 

Magnus kicked open the locked door of the industrial complex and open fired. He shot at anyone he saw working around the conveyor belts. 

Magnus kept shooting and shooting, until his magazine was empty. Some men who were hiding behind the conveyor belt stood up and emptied their own magazines of pistol ammo at him, as they had been supplied by the administration of the factory with pistols, being the only viable security the factory had. Magnus was hit by the spiraling bullets, but he had developed his mental capacity to the point where he could consciously heal himself now.

After staggering backwards, Magnus didn't move. The workers who were crouching behind anything they could find, stood up, and looked at the standing body, not sure whether it was dead or alive. Their worst fears became a reality as the body started shaking, the bullets falling out of it.

Magnus stepped forward, reloading his rifle. He was shot by the puny pistols of the security detail of the factory as he walked forward, the bullets falling out of his wounds just a second after they had entered. The workers stepped backwards, wondering what kind of monster this was and what it wanted with their humble factory.

Magnus set the explosive on the middle of the conveyor belt, and shot at the men standing on the balcony above himself and the workers. The unarmed workers tried to escape while the armed workers, factory's security detail, were stepping back slowly, clicking the triggers of the empty guns they were desperately gripping, wishing that this monster would just disappear.

The armed workers were out of ammo, and were too stunned by what they saw. They knew they hit this man, this monster, with their shots. Why was he not on the ground, writhing in pain? Why was he not dead?! The big wigs running this factory never told them that they would be attacked by an invincible man! They said they were safe from the war here!

The factory workers with guns questioned reality. One of them, wishing to keep the other workers charged this monster, and swung st his shoulder with a tactical shovel, this factory's product, effectively burying it in Magnus' collarbone. The monster's head was down. Maybe they had defeated it.

Magnus lifted his head up and grabbed the shovel and pulled it out of his wound. The attacking party soiled his pants, liquid flowing down his leg. He fired the automatic rifle at point blank, holding the shovel so that he wouldn't be able to escape.

Magnus turned around and left the building, not being shot in the back because the factory's armed workers had run out of ammunition for their handguns.

Magnus got in the car, and drove to the next factory, only having three explosives left. Magnus felt no remorse as he did this, only concerned with his orders, only wanting to end this war as fast as possible. Amicus told him that this next factory was an ammunition factory.    

One of the workers in the ammunition factory had heard the explosion and opened the factory doors, wondering what on God's green earth was happening. A car pulled up in front of him. The worker heard a loud bang, looked down, and saw blood gushing from a hole in his gut. He fainted and blood started flowing from of his mouth, caused by the internal bleeding from the bullet.

Magnus waited for the man to fall over, then fired a couple bullets at the boxed explosives for the artillery guns. After dispensing seven bullets from the barrel of the automatic rifle at the boxes of shells, he drove off to the next factory. He heard an explosion behind him, but payed no heed, not caring what happened to the Deutschlanders, just that this never happened to his own country's civilians. 

Pulling up to the next factory, Magnus was getting quite tired. Being the only factory left in this area of the industrial zone, Magnus figured it was time to get back to the General. He set up an explosive on the side of the factory, and ran around to the other end. The explosion blew a gaping hole in the factory's wall, and Magnus threw his second-to-last explosive into the factory.

He ran back around the corner and waiting for the loud thud. Hearing none after the time he had set for the bomb to detonate passed by, he walked through the hole in the wall of the complex, open firing. This factory produced canned food for the war effort, and it reeked of fish. 

Magnus, wanting to get out of there as fast as he could, not being able to stand the horrid smell, opened fired on the employees of the factory. Magnus knew they were all men looking to provide for their families, but he concerned himself with the families of the UPC. He was cracking, his psyche was disturbed. 

Magnus could only think of the people back home so that he did not label himself a murderer and a monster. He was too busy trying to calm himself to notice the bullets that entered his body. Looking at the second-to-last bomb and realizing that it was a dud, set it next to his last one. 

Magnus was finally bothered by the pain of the bullets penetrating his flesh and shot the lone man comprising the security detail. The Third Deutschland Reich was already running low on guns and ammo for their soldiers, so they had to conserve such things. Thus, they only supplied one man with the means to defend this factory.

Magnus, now indifferent to the trauma of killing innocent people, left, giving himself only twenty to get out of the area. He opened the door of the car and entered it, ducking his head so that he did not hit it on the canvas roof of the car which he had put up because it had been raining earlier in his drive.

Magnus started the car and drove off, hearing the explosion behind him, twice as loud as it had been before. He was off to the General to learn how to fly now. His face was that of a stoic. No longer able to bear the pain of killing people, Magnus had to wall it off. He knew that eventually those emotions would become toxic, like John's emotions became anger when he shouted at him. 

Magnus, no longer wanting to contemplate such things, did so, walling his emotions off, and leaned forward in his seat, focusing on his drive. He had drive another 230 miles before he reached his destination, which was the General.

In a universe similar to our own, the world is engulfed in another World War. The tensions in Europa had been satiated for twenty years, but now those same countries were at each other's throats again. 

Midst the chaos is born a child, Magnus Charles Licinius, who gets conscripted at the age of 22 to go fight in Europa as part of the United Provinces of Columbia's war effort.

During his first battle, he is shot and crushed by a plane, and ends up in a weird city. After being "exterminated" in that weird dream, he wakes up again, unharmed. What will happen to Magnus as he travels across Europa in effort to end the war?

After checking his status, he looked around the area and saw the crowd that is looking towards the only building in this town that looks modernize. A big screen was attached to this building, and a female host was talking inside the screen.

"Hello!, everyone, I am your host for today and I am going to announce the start of the yearly monarch competition, as you all know monarch competition happens every year and the grand prize of this competition is having a monarch position in the Union. "

Loud cheers and applause can be heard through the crowds. Some of them were starting talking to each other and some of them wanting to get that position and daydreaming about it.

Keiji's interest was naturally piqued by this competition, so he listens among the crowd and also watched the program on the big screen.

" So I will once again tell you the requirements to enter the monarch competition is that  your level must not exceed 30, the competition will take place in the Polygon Island of the Celakovice continent."

After the host talks about where the tournament will happen, the crowd becomes quiet, no one dares to make a sound for a minute.

"What?!, the tournament will happen there."

"Really? That cursed Island."

"It is a bit disappointing that it will happen there"

The crowd started gossiping and talking about that place where the tournament will happen. Keiji naturally didn't know about that place, so he was interested in this so-called polygon Island.

He walked into a man and asked.

"Excuse me, why does it seem like all of you aren't happy about where this Monarch tournament will happen. "

The man looked at Keiji up and down and said.

"You don't seem to be a newbie, are you sure you don't know about Polygon Island."

Keiji just nodded at this man.

"Ok, seems like your clueless, but you are quite lucky to find me, who was quite knowledgeable." The man said boastingly then add.

"Why are you wearing a mask by the way?" The man asked curiously and looked at Keiji.

"When my face got burned I started wearing a mask to hide it " Keiji replied with a sad tone and lowered his head.

The man felt sorry for Keiji and said "Sorry to ask you that question, young man" while patting Keijis back.

"It's alright," Keiji replied with the same tone as before and continued his acting.

"Ok so… what's your question again? " 

Keiji wanted to kill this man who makes him act like a coward, and now this man forgot about his question, but he suppressed his rage and smiled before saying. " I am asking why does all of you seem quite unhappy when the host said that the tournament will happen at the Polygon island." 

The man looked at Keiji up and down and ask. "You don't seem to be a newbie, are you sure you don't know about Polygon Island."

Keiji felt a little Deja Vu from this conversation and wanted to really kill the man in front of him. He thought 'this man is  really trying to get into my nerves just a little more and I will kill this man' before he could finish his thoughts he was interrupted by the man.

"Ok, seems like your clueless, but you are quite lucky to find me, who was quite knowledgeable." The man said boastingly then looked at Keiji.

Keiji was preparing to use his fist to punch this man in front of him if this man spoke of the words he was thinking of.

"Ok, so the Polygon Island is a cursed island and it is said in history that this island has a particular city where if a player died in that particular place they will really die in that Island and also in the real world"

Then the man looked into the sky then said "It is said that no one has ever exited that place alive. The Union sent so much force to unveil the truth about this Island but they suddenly stopped and didn't pry anymore into it and just said that it was a cursed Island."

Keiji felt something was amiss when the man in front of him stopped speaking but before he could find out something. The man whose head was looking towards the sky moved and looked at Keiji. 

The man's eyes turned into a pure white, and his Iris and pupils are now gone. The man said  "Young one, say I shall not do fix thy eye, on what is thy seen, does thy seen is thy temporary, and unseen or what not is eternal, eternal, eternal, ete... " 

The man kept repeating the word eternal until the man fell and turned into blue particles of light while still repeating those words even in his last breath.

Keiji stands at the same place, contemplating if the man is an NPC or a player. His confusion was not because of what the man said and how the man's eyes turned pure white but because of how the man spoke. The man spoke in a language that was very familiar with Keiji, which is the Vampire language.

Keiji looked around the area to find anything suspicious because he had a feeling that the man was only being manipulated or being used. After searching for a while, he cannot find anything amiss until his gaze locks onto the top of the clock tower far far away.

Keiji can see a black cat staring at him, but this cat's eyes were a little different. There was a symbol on the middle of its eyes that looks like a knotted Celtic although Keiji was 200 meters away, for some unknown reason, he can still clearly see what's on its eyes.

Keij ran towards the clock tower, but the cat turned back, and he can no longer see where the cat was.

'What the f*ck how can a mere mortal understand our language and better than us for some reason' Keiji was so confused because when vampires still exist or before Keiji sleep, no humans have ever learned how to speak Vampiric language, even they were given 100 years to learn Vampiric language with full resources of books, they still cannot understand how to even read a letter with the use of Vampiric language.

Keiji browses through his memories to remember where did he see such a symbol that was the same as the one etched on the cat's eye.

But fortunately or unfortunately, he didn't remember anything about it.

A vampire who just woke up after his long hibernation, and found out that he have been hibernating for far too long that the world he knows, and the ones he knew as the strongest race was now extinct and only are stated in legends. 


Being new to this world watch Vladimir on his journey in this new world as he dominates the world and uncover the mysteries that lies within it.

This novel is very boring at first 20 or so chapters and my grammar is not really that good but I promised I will try my best to Improve.
