While Afeus was trying to wake up the unconscious young man, back in Reschbeauch the kingdom was readying its soldiers for war. After the death of the Warrior King Willmont and seeing that the princes were also dead, Ashley supported Iselv to take the throne. 
Upon gaining the throne the first thing Iselv did was to inform the citizens of the demons that had infiltrated the neighboring kingdoms. He then organized the army and had form defensive walls near the borders. He also pulled back the citizens that live near the borders and sent them closer to the capital.
It was during this time that the Serbek Kingdom declared an all-out war against the Reschbeauch Kingdom. During one of the skirmishes against the enemy forces. When the Serbek Kingdom looked like it would be able to get deeper into Reschbeauch's territory due to one powerful unknown individual, four equally powerful maidens pushed back the advancing forces. 
The powerful fighter on the Serbek Kingdom's side that was suspected to be a demon was forced to retreat due to these maidens. The maidens didn't stop in pushing the enemy back as they demanded the Serbek Kingdom to return Ren to them. 
Of course, the people of the Serbek Kingdom had no idea who the maidens were talking about. Even the demons that control the kingdom from the shadows, didn't know what had happened to Ren.

After a major victory against the Serbek Kingdom, Lara didn't want to retreat and instead wanted to advance forward into the capital of the Serbek Kingdom. Silika who was surprised by how powerful the demon they faced was made her a bit more cautious. She was afraid that there might be more of them hiding in the Serbek Kingdom. 
Now if she were at her full power those little demons would've been no different than tiny ants. But with her current limitations just facing one was hard enough. Also since she was so far away from Ren and had no contact with him for such a long time her mana supply was draining faster than she expected. 
So Silika tried to stop Lara from heading into enemy territory which of course resulted in a fight. 
"Let me pass," Lara spoke with a low tone that made her look a bit more intimidating. Silika wasn't bothered by it one bit, on the other hand, Hilda and Ashley were looking worried. When Ren disappeared the two of them were a bit worried about the state of things but with Silika's guidance, they were able to pull through. Even Lara, who listened to no one but Ren was actually doing what Silika said. So they didn't expect Lara to suddenly become so aggressive. 
"I can't let you pass. I understand how you feel but going there right now is pretty much suicide." Silika stood before Lara getting ready for the other party to be physical. For some reason, Lara's stoic face that had only changed from time to time cracked. She showed a face that could scare most anyone. 
"YoU unDerStand wHat I feEl?!" Lara's bloodlust rose as she clenched her fist. Being apart from Ren and not knowing where he was or if he's alright or not has made her feel things that she didn't think was possible for her. 
Ren was her emotional support after what happened during there childhoods and the secret they shared. After that event in the past, Ren practically became a God to her. Ren was her everything.
"ThE onLy oNe wHo UNderStands me Is REN! HoW Can soMeonE Like yOu UnderStand me?! ThE oNly reAson I eVen ToLErate YoU B*tChes is bEcAuse of REN! If It wEre Up tO me I wOuld'Ve kiLLed aLL of You, tHe mOment You sTucK to REN! So DOn'T tell me You unDersTand hOw I feEL! cAusE If You diD UnderStaNd me, tHen You wOulDn't Be bloCking Me! Ashely and Hilda were truly surprised to hear Lara talk like that and with that kind of tone. On the other hand, they weren't really that surprised to hear Lara say that she wanted to kill them since she never tried to mask that from the beginning.
"Oh, little girl you have no idea. Not only do I understand you, but I've also been in the same situation once upon a time. Let me guess, Ren saved you from something in the past that only you and he knows of. He then promised you something that made you look forward to seeing the next day. You then tricked yourself into thinking that if you close off all of your emotions and only allow Ren in there and some others you deem worthy, it will make you seem stronger than before. Now that he has disappeared and Valdel your other friend has left you alone to do his own thing, you feel anxious. You feel scared and since you've closed off your emotions and tricked yourself which made you unable to express said emotions the anxiety just piled up. Now your emotions are out in the open and you're feeling even more horrified, am I right?" 
The bloodlust Lara was emitting faded as she looked at Silika while gritting her teeth in frustration. 
"... So what now? Are you telling me that you three are alright with Ren missing..." 
"I've known Ren for only a year and I know that he's not someone that would just disappear and die in some hole somewhere. He might be out there right now having fun battling somebody." Hilda chimed in the conversation, which prompted Ashley to do the same thing. 
"Yeah that's right, among the four of us I knew him less and I too think that he must be doing something he considers fun. Also didn't your friend Valdel say something before he left to speak with the other temples. Didn't he say that Ren was someone that did whatever he wanted any given time no matter the circumstances without caring for anyone else's feelings? Isn't that the reason he left the two of you to deal with whatever problems you guys from Carto Village had."
Hearing everyone's thoughts about the situation, Lara remembered the last time she was with Ren. At that time he knocked out her and Valdel and headed to Serbek to enact vengeance. It was impossible that Ren would fail, so he must've accomplished his mission and was doing something else entirely at this time. 
"Don't worry too much about that guy. I know for a fact, that no matter the situation he can pull through anything." Silika spoke with a confident smile on her face.

While the four maidens were having their conversation, in Zouver city the capital of the Serbek Kingdom, Afeus had barely passed his class with the materials he gathered in the Kerrolan forest. But that didn't bother him as much as before since he was now focused on a new project. He was still trying to figure out a way to wake up the unconscious young man. He had tried many things that could have killed any other person, but it wasn't even enough to put a scratch on the young man's body. His clothes, on the other hand, have been changed dozens of times now. 
Even though he had failed, Afeus was still excited to learn that the young man's body was indeed more durable than others. But no matter how mysterious Afeus now knew after checking with a specialist that the young man was human. As a pure human being, the young man's body wasn't supposed to be able to endure the punishment it was given. It was then Afeus took a more in-depth look at the young man's body. So after borrowing some measuring equipment from a senile professor, Afeus learned that the young man's mana supply was an incredible amount. Not only that the young man was also able to circulate his mana while unconscious. This just made Afeus even more curious about the young man's identity. Also, above that, he was excited to test the limits of the human body even if covered by such a dense amount of mana.

Venelana: Mira dear, are you sure he can fight all four of them? 

Avery one looked towards Mira for confirmation, however she didn't say anything, she just smiled 

Adrian: Do the four of you agree that this'll be a fight to he death? 

4 Idiots: Yes! 

Adrian: Hey, you all heard them, you're the witnesses, just remember I didn't force this, they agreed to this 

Sirzechs: Very well then.... Sigh.... let the match begin! 

As soon as the match began all four of them attacked from different sides, in order to take him out as soon possible

BALANACE BREAKER 

Adrian had equipped his Red Dragon Emperor's balance breaker, greatly shocking everyone once again. At this point you think they'd be shocked enough but noooooooo 

'Balance breaker?' thought Kokabiel 

'Impossible' thought Shalba 

'I cannot allow him to live' thought Lord Phenex 

'Interesting' thought Loki 

Adrian went at full speed towards his opponent in front of him, who was unfortunately Kokabiel and punched him in the stomach, causing him to spit out blood. While at the same time Ddraig is boosting himself over and over again, multiplying his strength 

The reason why Adrian was able to boost and fight at the same time was thanks to his Saiyan bloodline, because during a fight, is when a saiyan is mostly concentrated.... except for Goku, god knows what shit goes through his head

Kokabiel: Damn it! 

Kokabiel clenched his teeth and tried to back away however Adrian came and hit him in the stomach again

'Why's he only going after me!!!' 

Adrian wouldn't allow Kokabiel to distance himself from him, as he decided that Kokabiel would be his first victim. Charging up his fist, a red energy ball appeared which was the size of Ichiya's head

Without allowing Kokabiel to even say anything he sent it through his body, completely obliterating him 

Everyone looked on in horror and shock. He just defeated Kokabiel within seconds, and he didn't even get hit once 

Adrian turned around and saw Loki and Shalba heading straight for him, even though he could still see the shocked looks on their faces

ILLEGAL MOVE TRIAINA

Two canons appeared on each of his shoulders which increased his power yet again by miles. Loki and Shalba tried to slow down to back off but they were too late as a blast of energy decimated the both of them 

Loki: Aaaaaaaarrrrrghhhhh noooooo!!! 

Shalba: Damn you Red Dragon Emperor!!!! 

Everyone stopped breathing as they saw Adrian slowly turn his head towards Lord Phenex, who started shaking.... badly 

Lord Phenex: N-now... why don't we stop this silly match... and talk this out like gentleman.... 

Lord Phenex was terrified. There's no way in hell he could win against this abomination

Adrian: Hey Ddraig, I'll be deactivating the balance breaker now 

Ddraig: Sure thing partner 

Although Ddraig new he could easily kill Lord Phenex in his balance breaker, and he was basically revealing himself to his opponent, he had enough faith in his new partner to believe that he knew what he was doing 

As soon as the balance breaker disappeared, Lord Phenex grinned and took this as his chance to attack, and zoomed towards Adrian who just stood there with his hands behind his back 

Lord Phenex planned to burn Adrian as much as possible, giving him a painful death, so he covered his entire body in flames, which amazed most of the devils, even the four great Satan's 

As he was inches away from Adrian his body froze. Adrian looked at him straight in the eyes with his Sharingan 

Adrian: I thought you wanted to talk this out like gentleman... Sigh, never mind, guess I'll kill you too

Lord Phenex: No wait! You can't kill me!!  

AMATERASU 

Black flames erupted from Lord Phenex's orange flames and began to burn him, causing him to scream out loud

Everyone was as the proud Phenex, a being that was said to be fireproof, was burned by a hellish black flames 

Within moments his body was turned to nothing. No one spoke, this match had ended in less than a minute, and they could all tell that Adrian wasn't even serious during the fight, and that he was holding back 

Everyone began to feel both awe and fear towards this young man, as they slowly backed away when he returned to the ground 

When he did, the four great Satan's appeared in front of him 

Sirzechs: Congratulations Adrian 

Serafall: Yeah congrats! 

Ajuka: A splendid match 

Falbium: Although it does seem that you held back quite a bit 

Adrian was surprised. He thought they be angry at him but instead they were.... congratulating him? 

Sirzechs: Why're you so surprised, did you think we'd retaliate? I mean yes you killed some big members of the devil community, however even if we wanted to, we couldn't do anything 

Falbium: Sigh... they agreed to this, so it's their fault 

Adrian: Thats Good.... *grumble* 

Everyone was wondering where that sound just came from, and when they heard it again they realise sit was Adrian's stomach and all began to laugh, which broke the ice and the tension 

Adrian began to chuckle before he noticed Lady Phenex walking up to him, the four Satan's were on their guard, just in case she tried anything stupid, however they were dumbfounded when they heard what she said 

Lady Phenex: Thank you, very much

Adrian: Eh? 

Lady Phenex: You've no idea how good of a deed you'd done. My husband... was a horrible man, by killing him you've saved this family 

Lady Phenex her two sons and even Ruval bowed slightly at him, thanking him for what he did. The only person who didn't was Riser, who was livid 

As he was about to say something, his older brother knocked him out cold, before walking away with him

Adrian and company went back inside to eat some food and enjoy the rest of the party. Many people were sucking up to him, and offering him land, riches and even women, but he turned them all down. All he wanted to do was eat, and he was starving, and there was a chocolate cake that had his name on it... anyone that touches his cake will die

On his way home from college one day, he was crushed to death by construction beams.

The dullahan continued " It was after the war with what my lord called them The Corruptants." When Adrian heard the name corruptants his ears perked up and listened with improved concentration. 

" If you have guessed by now I was a once a knight for my Asmodian lord and he was a summoner as well. Anyway back to the story, my lord was injured in the fight and use his last bit of his life force to seal a remnant of the corruptants. This remnant was used by the asmodians as one of the important seals that repels the corruptants from opening a breach from their world to this world." the dullahan said. 

Adrian stopped the dullahan from his story because he heard a prompt that came from the system which the dullahan was not pleased but stopped his story.

Adrian did not look at the new quest since he was still listening to the dullahan and he did not want to be inconsiderate. He will also look at the reward later. Adrian then urged the dullahan to continue.

"As I was saying, we were escaping the pursuit of the corruptant's acolytes. The acolytes are inhabitants of this world that was tempted by the power that the corruptant's held. The acolytes were the reason that the battle was hardly won. The acolytes kept summoning breaches or portals that the corruptants used. They kept on pouring until Asmodians sacrificed their lives to prevent breaches from occuring. Some of the acolytes managed to reach us and with our lord weakening by the minute, he was not able to help us in battle. So we suggested that it is better to be sealed in a special cavern with the remnant itself to prevent the acolytes from getting their hands on it. Though our lord did not want our conclusion, we already steeled our resolve thus he did it unwillingly. Our Lord used his remaining life force and sealed us in this cavern but an acolyte managed to change the seal that our lord casted. That blasted acolyte transformed us into undead but he also payed the price by turning into one as well. That acolyte became a gravekeeper. He is in an altar located below ground from our location. He has been spending countless years unlocking the seal that was placed by our lord. Since the acolytes were considerably powerful and our lord seeing his seal being tampered, our lord added a condition that only low powered people can enter in this barrier. I beseech you young asmodian, please help me kill that gravekeeper. If you do, I will let you have my master's inheritance since you are a promising summoner yourself."

" Thank you, young asmodian but you are not strong enough to confront the gravekeeper thus I will help you by giving you my spirit essence." the dullahan said but Adrian got a bit hurt by the dullahan's honest opinion.

Doyle sighed in agony. 
"Oh God, when we were still fourteen or fifteen, we weren't so complicated. Shouldn't we be simple, naive, rash, and lusted after women?"
He felt aggrieved as he looked at Glover. He sought for acknowledgment. 
"There was nothing that cannot be solved by a night in Red Street Market, right?"
Against his expectations, Glover, who did not usually respond actively, spoke this time. 
"Not us, just you." The quiet Vanguard snorted before he turned his head to the other side. 
D.D's smile disappeared in a moment.
At this time, another voice could be heard,
"Is everything alright?"
Doyle and Glover felt shocked!
In a second, they both stood straight and turned to the direction of the metal gate.
They saw the highest commander of the Royal Guards, the guard captain, Lord Adrian, who stood at the metal gate while he smiled and looked at them while he was accompanied by two attendants. 
Doyle looked as if he was struck by lightning. He tried hard to force himself to smile, but once he felt that the situation was not appropriate for it, he tried to adjust his facial expression to become serious while he stammered, "Captain… Captain… Captain Adrian, commanding officer?"
Glover was also stunned, but he immediately responded. "Commanding officer."
Adrian nodded before he walked toward them with a grin. The people around him had already recognized him, and they saluted him. 
"Everyone is busy, what are you both doing here?"
Doyle's smile froze. 
He quickly stood straight before he took a step forward. 
"Ahem…We were assessing the vulnerability of the defense in Mindis Hall so that we can plan our future sentry duties…" 
But Glover spoke up stiffly and drowned out Doyle's voice. 
"We are pretending that we are busy, commanding office, so that we can avoid being called by the Logistics Division to work."
When he said that, Captain Adrian's smile froze for a second as well. 
Doyle swayed, and he looked at his companion in disbelief. 
At that moment, Doyle was initially shocked before he had all his hopes dashed to pieces. He wanted to kill Glover. Then, he would kill himself. 
At any rate, it was Adrian who reacted to the situation first in the indescribable silence and awkwardness, courtesy to his experience in life. 
"Oh, so you are… Mallos' men?"
Doyle was in deep grief, but he could feel that the captain did not want to hold them accountable for their mistakes, so he immediately said something to salvage the situation, "Um, ah… Lord Mallos is inside. He seems to be…"
Glover's reply was still as simple as usual, "I will go and notify him of your presence."

"I know your grandfather. With his status as the watchman, he selected and promoted me to become a part of the guards forty years ago."
Doyle's expression changed while he stood by the side. 
His gaze when he looked at Glover immediately became different. 
Adrain sighed. "He is a stern man, but worthy of respect."
Glover's eyes twinkled. "Yes."
"I hope you could be like him and be respected by others," Adrian spoke with a cordial and friendly tone. "But… you do not have to be as stern as he was."
"In a team, you will realize that you will benefit more if you are an easy-going person."
Glover trembled slightly, and his reply made him sound slightly uneasy. "Y-yes."
Adrian nodded and looked at Doyle. 
Doyle was like a rat which had eaten poison. He stiffened up unnaturally. 
Adrian smiled. "So, you are… um… D.D?"
Doyle's lips twitched, and he smiled awkwardly. "Yes, Captain… But that is… a nickname that everyone uses for fun…"
His voice became less confident and weaker. 
"Bridge told me about you," Adrian said in a relaxed manner.
"What?" Doyle's eyes brightened, and his timidity from a moment ago vanished. "Really?"
He became slightly hopeful. "Then, what did the chief say about me…"
"He said you wanted to join the Vanguard Division initially," Adrian said calmly, "After you failed to be chosen, you were then forced to join his defense division."
Glover subconsciously looked at Doyle. 
At that moment, D.D's face turned red. "Chief, I-I…"
But Adrian's face turned stern. "There is nothing to be ashamed of in admitting our failures."
He said slowly, "You can only succeed when you accept failure.
"Just like how you can be a vanguard after you do a good job in being a guard."
Adrian's suddenly sternness made Doyle subconsciously stiffen his body. "Yes, commanding officer."
Adrian nodded and sized them up again. 
"Both of you are still very young, and you are important people for Mallos. You are also the kingdom's reliable swords." Adrian returned to his cordial behavior from before. "Work hard."
"Yes, sir!" This was from Doyle, who decided to keep his mouth shut. 
"Yes." This was from Glover, who was still as stiff as ever. 
Adrian smiled gently. 
"Also, do not get caught by your master when you are loafing around at the job." At this moment, Adrian suddenly turned his head around and looked into the distance. "Especially… when he is behind you."
Doyle and Glover were shocked. They turned around.

He turned around and passed a paper scroll to Glover (Doyle wanted to go and take it, but the scroll landed in Glover's hands when it was about to reach his hand).
"I also took the chance to come and see how are your preparations." The guard captain who was more than fifty years old smiled and looked at Doyle and Glover. Doyle smiled awkwardly, whereas Glover became even stiffer. 
"After all, this is the first ever case where we mobilized the Royal Guards to form another special unit."
Thales looked at the warrant in Glovers' hands, and he had no time to guess what Adrian actually meant in his words. 
"Thank you for your concern."
The commander of the guards continued smiling. "I hope Tormond did not bring you any trouble."
Thales was stunned. "Tor… who?"
'Tormond.'
His first response was to remember the drawing of the King of Renaissance in Mindis Hall. 
But Adrian only sighed. 
"I heard from Count Caso about the conflict between you and him during the journey. I would like to apologize to you for what he did."
Thales suddenly realized that the man Adrian said was… 
"But please believe in me that Lord Mallos did not intend to be disrespectful, and he is not stubborn as well," Adrain said seriously, "He is just… too casual."
Thales blinked. 
"Casual?" He took a deep breath, and he thought about how Mallos had told him that no one would care about him. He said doubtfully, "The captain of my personal guards? Casual?"
Doyle and Glover dared not even breathe loudly, but they could not hold themselves back from looking over curiously. 
Adrian chuckled. "Please do not misunderstand me, Your Highness. When I said 'casual', it does not mean that he is negligent and careless. Lord Mallos' capabilities cannot be doubted."
Adrian looked at Mindis Hall that was located at the other end of the fountain before he said with a sigh, "It is just that he dislikes complicated and troublesome matters. When he encounters a problem, he is more willing to choose a solution that can be easily achieved. But I suppose this is also considered a kind of… arrogance, yes?"
'Dislikes complicated and troublesome matters.
'Arrogance.'
Thales suddenly realized something when he heard this comment. 
Adrian said in resignation, "For example, the easiest way to protect the prince is not letting the prince go out. Yet, he does not know… that sometimes, it brings even more troubles."
Thales nodded and smiled in response.

The guard captain smiled as he looked at Thales.
"It will be more than enough just to see you. 
"Six years ago, when you just became a prince, I could not be there due to some family matters, so I missed your most important moment."
Adrian's gaze suddenly became very serious.

Thales stared blankly when he sensed the meaning behind Adrian's gaze.

The guard captain said faintly, "The same goes for the king."

Adrian bowed again, turned around, and left.

'I met him in the watch room.
'The conversation seems to have gone something like, "Captain, do you want some water?", and "No, thank you."'
Doyle thought excitedly. 
"Hmph."
Glover looked at him in disdain and snorted. He showed a disdainful expression that said, "You had not seen the world before."
'Three years. 
'Just how marginalized was this person that he would never have spoken to the commander alone for three whole years even though we're all in Renaissance Palace? 
'As for myself… 
'Hmph.'
With faint pride, Glover recalled his last conversation with the guard captain. 
'A few years ago… 
'Weird, why can't I remember?'
Both of them had their own feelings, but Thales thought about something else in his mind while he stood by the side. 
"That is…" he said slowly. 
Doyle answered Thales' doubts in excitement, "Oh, you still do not know about it, right? That is the coolest man in the Royal Guards.
Doyle looked proud. "The head-captain, Lord Adrian, is better than every guard, and he is the witness of the glory and destruction."
'Qualification?'
'Glory and destruction?' 
Thales did not seem to understand. 
Glover nodded and looked at the direction where Adrian was headed. He looked very serious. "They said that the captain had witnessed the Bloody Year before, and he was the only one who survived among the legendary Royal Guards… He is one among the previous guards."

Thales' expression changed slightly. 
"You mean, the previous Royal Guards during my grandfather's era?"
Doyle took a deep breath, lowered his head, and nodded. 
When he thought of the prisoners in the Prison of Bones, Thales could not help but be shocked. 
"Adrian… did he survived through the Bloody Year? How could he do it?"
Glover shrugged. 
"Congratulations, Your Grace." But D.D sighed and spread his arms. "You have just asked the question of the third Unresolved Mysteries of the Royal Guards."
Thales was rendered speechless.
At this moment, a commotion was heard outside the metal gate. 
"No, no, no, it is shut down today… Even if you are a noble, you cannot…"
The trio were attracted. Doyle walked toward the metal gate, and Glover followed right after them. 
Thales was curious. He wanted to follow them as well, but he was pushed behind Glover, and he was blocked firmly behind his back. 
"What happened?" With the metal gate in between them, Doyle called one of the Jadestar Private Soldiers outside the gate. 
That soldier turned around and pointed indignantly at a man who was blocked by a few soldiers far away.
"Your Grace, this man wanted to intrude… He said he is a noble, otherwise, we would have…"
Doyle narrowed his eyes and saw the man who was blocked clearly. 
He widened his eyes again. 
"Wait a minute, I know him…"
Doyle felt shocked when he saw the man who was waving at him outside the gate.
"Why are you here?"
The man who was outside the gate broke free from being suppressed by the soldiers smoothed his clothes. He was shocked when he saw Doyle. 
"Huh, I am the one who wanted to ask you. D.D, why are you here?"
Doyle expression turned dark. 
"Of course, I am a Royal… No, no, no, let me ask you first, 'Why are you here?'"
The man outside the door blinked. Then, he looked around and felt confused. 
"It's… It's because I'm here!"
Thales, who was behind Glover, burst into laughter when he heard the weird conversation between two of them. 
Glover looked at him with a strange look. 
"Nothing, it is just…" Thales waved in an apologetic manner. 
"I thought of a joke among the Northlanders, 'Why are you here?'"
Thales could not hold it in and started to laugh. 
Glover did not understand. His expression became even stranger. 
The baffling conversation between Doyle and the unwelcomed guest outside the gate while they also gestured wildly continued. 
"Why, why are you here?"
The guest stroked his head. 
"I… took a leave in advance. I specially came over just to take a look at prince. Opps, he is the duke now… I heard he is back now…"
Doyle shook his head. 
"No, nobles will need to make an appointment in advance…"
But D.D suddenly came back to his senses. 
"Wait, why do you know that the prince is back today, and how do you know he is a duke now…?"
"Ah, the messenger crow in my family is rather… Okay, now get away, do not block me from visiting him—"
"No, wait. How do you know that he is here—"
"Do you remember that when you sent the prince here, we were the ones who were in charge of clearing the path—"

Glover was embarrassed and pressed his palm against his own head behind the metal gate. 
Obviously, Doyle and the man outside would not end their conversation any time soon. The Jadestar Private Soldiers around them already felt bored and went back to their own posts.
Yet Thales seemed to have understood something from the conversation. 
"Doyle?"
Thales did not care about Glover's expression. The Duke of Star Lake decided to move past Glover and reminded Doyle loudly, "Doyle!"
Doyle, who had been standing in front of the metal gate and who had been arguing nonstop, suddenly thought about his own duties. He immediately turned around, smiled apologetically, and said, "Your Highness, I am sorry to have disturbed you… Excuse me, let me introduce to you this person. This is…"
Doyle reached over and pointed at the unwelcomed guest who was outside. He shouted a series of nouns awkwardly, "...My grandmother's brother-in-law's grandnephew."
Glover sighed again, and he slapped his palm against his face. 
At that moment, Thales saw the guest outside clearly. 
He was stunned. 
"There is a successor of a count outside. He is currently working and taking a holiday in the capital…"
Doyle laughed dryly, and he mentioned the name of that person, "Kohen Karabeyan."
Thales stared blankly at the man outside the door. 
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Your Highness! Do you still remember me? I am the one… the one… who ate a lot of fruits and livers…"
The tall Officer Kohen stood tall outside the metal gate. He was surprised when he saw Thales and found that he had grown up a lot. Then, he pointed to himself to show his big white teeth and grinned foolishly in a manner that clearly said, "It's me!"
Doyle was frightened when he saw Kohen waving madly. He coughed awkwardly. 
"I have to give you a reminder, Your Highness."
He did not notice the strange look on his master's face. Doyle lowered his voice and put his head near to Thales' ears. 
Doyle pointed at Kohen, who was still giggling and waving. He nodded in secret, and he whispered sincerely, as if he was swearing an oath. "The nobles in the capital are spreading rumors… that this man… is crazy."

Thales did not have the answer.
He only knew that he came to a different and magnificent world, and he had to face a future that was as difficult to handle as a nightmare. The glorious Empire had already been destroyed for one thousand years, the dying royal family suffered many problems, the legendary sacred battle had plenty of conspiracies, the divided world was in chaos.
But Thales had nothing. 
The only thing he had left was an unswerving determination to preserve his own identity, bravery which would allow him to survive in a perilous situation, and a belief that he would never submit to principles he did not believe.

Seren does not believe in the Lucellian faith, which earn the ire of the Church, so usually Vern would try to send an army every five years to try subjugating a part of Seren and propagate their faith.
Usually, in the past some High Lords in the Dukedom allowed the Vern troops to pass through their lands, while some in the South disagree with such acts.
The Northron lord likes the silver and gold they got from such transaction while the Southron lords did not like it because it would mean that they are opening themselves up for retaliation from Seren and also the detrimental effect of such act would do to their region security.
It is also the reason why the Southron lords and the Northron lords often butted head when The Noble Council is called and why they did not like each other that much
But now the Dukedom is united and it is clear to all that the young lord of Vermont would build a new Kingdom with King Adrian.
the moment the rulers of Seren decided that the victory and the formation of this new kingdom is inevitable, they sent an ambassador to him.
Seren propose to him that they will hinder any movements of Dostov forces who have always been their enemies, to ever reach Alan, while the kingdom will deny Vern troops to pass this lands.
Adrian knew what they were hinting at. The Ancona family that rules over Lannover is his sister in law noble house.
And they are supplying Alderam forces while also at the same time rebelling against their King.
If the House of Ancona wins there, then his kingdom would have another threat. And Adrian wanted peace at least for a few years or this new kingdom would not last.
The Succession War between two brother has escalated beyond anyone control.

Before the Succession War, the only image that the Human Continent has of the Dukedom was that it is a land ruled by Dukes and their lords.
It is a land where the Bleeding Wall is situated at and the Watchers that guard's humanity and watches over the Dark Sea.
Then when the war started, the whole world knew of the Alan family as their brotherly conflict were brought out into the world stage.
And then the appearance of the Vermont family crowning him as King, as they finally stepped out from the shadows and reveal their power and influence to the world.
Their unstoppable cavalry, their undefeatable army and the young lord military talent shock the world.
Arial the Dragon! Arial the Undefeatable! Suddenly everyone is interested to know what will happen to this new kingdom.
He had think of the offer with great deliberation.
After a few weeks of bargaining and negotiating, yesterday he informs Seren emissaries that the alliance is accepted.
The West and East region is already secured by his diplomacy.
Only north which is Vern, and Vangua which is in the South has no alliance with him but the Vermont family network is ever reaching.
Vangua will not make sudden moves on them, not now that their King disappeared and the noble lords there descended into a domestic war.
Neither will Vern, which owes lot of silver and gold to the Vermont's if Adrian information to be believed.
They may not like his people, Caelum all of them, but they do like Vermont's gold.
'There are many things to be discussed' He thought to himself. The wind blows and the clouds that cover on top of him moved.
The sunlight shines on him and he look up and smiles. It has been so long and he finally see the end of this sordid affair.
The hope for this spring is that the war will be over, and peace will finally dawn on this land.
The birds can be seen nearby, flying across the courtyard, happy and free, soaring high above the sky.
The clouds, a puffy white shape amid the blue horizons.
Adrian smile
Spring is his favorite season. Promising a new beginning.
Then someone from outside the chamber shouted
'Your Majesty, informing the arrival for Lord Silas and Duchess Julia' the announcer announces their arrivals.
Adrian nodded
'Let them in' he ordered.
The door of the chamber opens as two people could be seen entering the chamber
Silas bow his head slightly and so does the Duchess.
'Your Highness'
'Your Highness' both of them greets him.
'Please be seated' Adrian said gesturing them to their seat and they each take a seat in the chair while he sorts out the documents in the table.
'My lord it is an honor to be here' the duchess said her eyes scanning the room, a gentle smile on his hand
'No, my lady. It is mine.' Adrian said.
The lady looked beautiful, and there is this motherly nature about her.
Adrian once heard that she borne of another child, a daughter when she was with his husband on their retreat in Seren.
If somehow his wedding and union with his bride would result in the birth of a son, Adrian have an arrangement to betroth his son to Lady Julia daughter, ensuring not only their alliance and house support but also his position and their position in this Kingdom.
But that is a long time from now and not the matter of today.
'My lord, why have you ask for me?' Silas ask. Then Adrian ask
'Did you explain everything to the Duchess?' It was then Silas understand. He nodded and answered
'Yes, my liege'
'Then that is why. We are here to discuss the letters by the young lord and to settle and agree on some of yesterday discussion that almost makes us argue against each other'
Silas nodded.
Yesterday, there was a heated debate in the Court between the King and Silas. Everyone knows about it.
Even The Duchess got to know about it. She might not move about in the court, but a woman of her stature would surely have ways to gain information.
They are many that respected her. Because not respecting her is the same as not respecting the young lord of the Vermont.
And nobody wanted to disrespect the young lord.
And everyone knows how protective the young lord about his family. A report once came to the attention of him a few weeks before the battle of Berth.
The report was spoken in detail in one of his court session where all the nobles and his courtiers attending the session heard all that was reported.
 One small fort insults they young lord mother when they were sieging it
The young dragon sieges the fort and to make sure none in the kingdom dare spoke about his mother that way again, he killed all of those people that guarded the watch, and the people in the fort even after they surrender and hang them all in a forest nearby creating a ghastly scene.
Then for the others, they burned them all turning them into ashes.
For the nine people that spoke badly about his mother, no one is to allowed bringing their corpses down from the tree.
If that is not enough, even though he did not kill the villager he burned all of their villages like some Vorthy raiders.
Since then everyone knows that the dragon has a scale that you should not have touched. But the funny thing about all of this was the fact that the report was fake.
Arial ask a favor from Silas to create this hoax. But the reason why the hoax is so believable is because it is not entirely a lie.
When he asks Silas what is the truth and what is the lie, he told him that whatever the people believes, that is the truth.
Even until today, he still didn't know whether Arial really did what he did in the report or maybe he did the deed but not for that exact reason.
Because there really is a hanging corpses outside some burned down village near Berth.
But the truth?
Other than Silas and the young lord, probably no one would ever know the real truth.
All that people thought, was that Arial the Dragon would not tolerate your disrespect against his family.
And that image stuck with him, giving his entire family this layer of invisible protection. Because nobody wanted to attract the wrath of the young lord upon them
He sighed then he get back on track.
'First would be the question of our race.'
'Ah yes. Our race.'
'The Caelum' the duchess said with a mysterious smile on his face. Adrian then look toward the Duchess and then said
'Yes...but your son, the young lord, have half a mind to unite this country in their own new identity. And that could not be done if we still use the old terms to identify ourselves'
She only nodded.
'So what do you suggest?' He then asks Silas.
Silas ponders the question for a bit and then he said
'Change it my liege. We are Caelum but also the citizens of this great Kingdom. We need to change how we identify ourselves. Not Caelum but a different kind of race. But we are Caelum, yes. Caelum, which comes from the ancient tongue, means Sky People. But have we reached the sky my liege like our great ancestors? We need to differentiate ourselves with Caelum in Vern, disassociate ourselves from Caelum that has always been ruling the continent'
'Why? We are a proud race.' Adrian said
Silas smiles and then he said
'It is quite simple. Race emergence and race sentiments. They, which I mean, the other race said now, that while it is true that Caelum race gives us freedom from the Demon Lords, it is also true that for the past one thousand years, our race has dominated everything, from administration, politics, economy, and even religion. We, once the most predominant race in this continent but no longer. The other races that sail here, some stranded in this continents, some who sail here in making of their new home, intermarriage with our race and so born this other races. Anglais, Raxons, Loth, Darnes, Etrushk, Gaul, Franks, Cathigia and many others and there are more them than us and they are here to stay. Not pure blooded like us, who have from the very beginning intermarried with the rest of the other Caelum race descended from the Lost Generation, who in turn descended from the First Generation. And the other races, they are an unsatisfied lot, my liege. In our rule, we never did care much about them but to create a strong Kingdom, racial divide might plunge us into a war like what happen in Dostov right now.'
'But in Dostov, isn't their war a religious one?' Adrian ask, pointing one flaw in Silas arguments.
'In Vangua then' the Duchess interrupts
Silas nodded
'My mistake. It is true. Dostov war is mostly motivated with their disgruntled attitude toward their own government, more than the feeling of racial divide. But, in Vangua there is no denying that racial sentiment is growing as Caelum race is portrayed as the very same way as we have portrayed the demon lords of the past.'
 'So your solution?'
'Change our name.'
'Change our name?' said the Duchess shocked by such a simple solution. Silas nodded, that diplomatic smile did not even leave his face
'Yes, my lady. It is as simple as that. Instead claiming that we are Caelum race, and the land and all above is our dominion, we simply said that we are Caelum but we are also tolerant. We have many races living here now, mostly because of Lord Arial and my lady House achievement in making Acro a hub for trade. Some….no, no, many of them even stay here to evade the wars that happened in their own continent but it also spurred on because of your son recruitment, which give them pay, handling the military like it is a business and the soldier is his workers. But in nationalism, as your son, so wisely, termed, it is even cheaper to get troops if they are all fighting for the safety of our Kingdom. Organized and discipline, trained and deadly.'
Adrian nodded
'Wise counsel'
'That I could not deny Your Highness' the Duchess nodded an approving nod to Silas while Silas blushed
'Well, then what is the name you wish to put forth' Adrian asked
'I have been thinking and I decided in Aether. It is one of the elements in the alchemy studies of the past. We are of the Aether race, descended from the First Blood, yet we do not share the same sentiments of the other Caelum race opinion. We can declare ourselves as an offshoot if not, more purer of Caelum blood, in the sense that we pursuing the ideological principles of the Caelum race, which is to understand each other. And it is not the first time our race changes the terms of how we identify ourselves. We are known as the Sky People when our ancestor first arrived; it is only a thousand years ago that Levitia declared we are Caelum. Who said we can't declare ourselves different?'
The Duchess nodded
'Lord Silas speak wisely. Tolerance can be a powerful weapon, that is true your highness. Look at Dostov and their rigidity, and look at Vangua and their civil discord, all propagated because of intolerance' the Duchess said supporting Silas
'Then I will simply write a decree and sent it to every other lord. But will they obey?' Adrian asked.
Silas rub his chin and close his eyes for a few seconds and then opening his eyes he said.
'They will my lord. Most of the lords, mostly in the South have many dealings with other races but maybe it will be harder to accept in the north where old sentiments die hard. But we must start somewhere' Silas said.
Adrian nodded. The Duchess also agree with the decision.
So Adrian prepare a letter and write, phrasing the words as polite but firm as possible. Then in that chamber they began talking about other matters.
There is the Construction that will need to be undertaken after the war ended, certain laws that need to be established, line of succession and more.  Adrian could not help but appreciate the Duchess keen intellect and her calmness and wit as she helps him in many matters.
And then finally when the sun is setting they are done with the basic of the new kingdom that they wanted to build.
They also decided that after the war is won, the land will be known as Aetherland, not Alan, to show and symbolize a nation belonging to the people.

Lara, Death, Hydron, Xylian, and the corpse were transported back to Thalos' place by the use of the Lara's Lunar Way. Thalos was enraged with anger as Death and the Nexus lost to the Masters of the Titans.

"This is unbelievable!! How come that the Titans were persuaded by an insect?! We need to find a way to go near to the Grand Soul Gem!! That incompetent Drexmar will go against me now!! It's a good thing you're there, Lara." Thalos said.

"I'm sorry, Thalos, but we have never thought that there is still a Shadow being as strong as Khan. That boy Ian, do have a great power. I will just regain my strength and need to get stronger to beat him." Hydron said.

"This is the first time in our lives that we are dominated. We must find a way to rebuild the Nexus!" Xylian added.

Thalos gave powers to the Corpse to help the Nexus fight Ian and to extinguish all of the Shadow attuned beings. "Each and every member of the Corpse is stronger than Death at this point. Make them as the New members of the Nexus, Hydron. Death will accompany me to get the Grand Soul Gem. Maybe it's time for me to step into the battlefield. I must defeat Kratos first before the new Masters of the Titans. I just need to merge with father." Thalos said.

Thalos set a meeting with the other Gods to relay the information about the Titans and the Masters of the Titans. He met nine Gods and Goddesses including Lilith. "Welcome, my friends. It seems that the second war is becoming irreversible now. I suggest we form an ally to sustain our supremacy. We must not be defeated by the Titans and mortals." Thalos suggested. "And what will be my prize if we win?" Hades, the God of Destruction asked. "I'll give you half of my territory, Hades. You can do what you want with it." Thalos offered Hades half of his territory just for him to be his ally. "Haha! And you expect me to trust you?! Haha. But still, even though we are not in good terms, Thalos, I still want to see the downfall of the Titans. I really want to settle things with Kratos and Draco, we still have our unfinished business so sign me in. And also, I would like you to meet another God of Destruction. His name is Lord Beerus from Sincrone Universe. He is the only survivor of the Armageddon." Hades introduced Beerus as one of their allies. "I'm glad you'll be joining us, Lord Beerus." Thalos acknowledged Beerus. Beerus is a silent type of God, who doesn't talk too much that's why he's one of the most unpredictable Gods.

Thalos informed them about the new Masters of the Titans situation. "I would like to inform you all that the Titans are planning something to extinguish us. They are using the new Masters of the Titans' powers in order for them finally fulfill their revenge against us. We should fight them again to really put an end to them. I need you to participate for us to preserve our kind."

Lilith saw Lara while Thalos is speaking and stood up to approach her. "Where are you going Lady Lilith?" Thalos asked Lilith.

"I think I saw a familiar face here just now. Will you just excuse me for a second?" Lilith requested. She followed Lara and Lara grabbed her in an isolated room to have a word with her. "How are you Lady Lilith?" Lara asked Lilith.

"Lara? Why are you here? And what is this all about?" Lilith asked.

"I need to talk to you about something important. This is all part of my plan." Lara said.

"Are you planning to go against your father?" Lilith asked.

"What?! I can't believe it! I saw with my two eyes that Zeo killed him." Lilith said.

"I can bring you to him. He's together with my sons having their training on the Forbes Wasteland. I went back here to persuade Thalos but I need a lot of help from the other Gods. I don't think Hades can help me. You're my only chance Lady Lilith. Please help me." Lara said.

"I will help you as long as you'll lead me to my son." Lilith responded.

"That's a deal, Lady Lilith. Thank you so much!" Lara appreciated Lilith.

Lilith went out of the room and went back to the meeting room. Lara's plan was to persuade Thalos and try to change Thalos mind upon conquering the universe to gain more power but it's not that easy due to Thalos is set to fight the Titans and the Masters of the Titans. She can only use Lunar Way three time as this is a Moon Forbidden Spell so she took her chances to use it for the sake of her big plan for the final time. She helped Death and his allies because of an unknown reason, which she's the only one who knew.

"It is as Lady Wickshire predicted. Other-side was quite unhappy with Lady Xier's entrance to their territory but could not take out their anger on her, so they are going after the ancients. Their younger generation inside the battleground are particularly attacking ancient descendants." Lord Morge answered.

"She is never wrong." King Adrian answered.

"That is all the hint given to you by Her Ladyship, Your Majesty. Now you wish to marry Amie. Won't it only isolate Other-side in the long run? You still need all of them to fulfil your task." Lord Morge asked.

"Our task."

"Not the way I see it. Her Ladyship will surely have your head if you fail. I am just your only friend." Lord Morge answered.

"This-side needs to be united. Only then can we start to worry about Other-side." King Adrian said.

"Even though told to be without worry. I dare not say I am not weary of the Thraines. Lady Xier is known to be in Other-side, but the others..."

"Her Ladyship did not put them in her calculations because they are simply not in it. She says their desires are not within her goals and neither are hers. We can move without care." King Adrian said.

"I will keep that in mind."

"For now, I must marry before the battleground closes."

"It closes in a two weeks but word of your crowning and new title by the religion has reached those watching the battleground proceedings." Lord Morge said. 

"We may have to push my marriage ahead." King Adrian said.

"And fear making rumours of your bride to be?" Lord Morge asked.

"Better to be thought rushing to make my heir legitimate, than not be married before the ancients return."
