When he opened his eyes again, Zyair almost erupted like a volcano.

Nix looked down and saw his torso being bind by many red strings. Then he look back and saw someone's expressionless face.

The black mist corroded YinKong’s arm in a blink of an eye. There was nothing left to one of her arms. However, on the remaining hand, she was holding onto Sauron’s broken arm tightly. The One Ring lost its vicious aura that it had when Sauron wielded the ring. The black glow was still visible, much different than the dullness it had when the Hobbit possessed it.

“God, give everyone a full…” As Zheng was going to speak the last word, he saw Xuan drew his pistol. Several shots fired at HaoTian’s head. His head busted like a watermellon. No amount of healing could save him.

Everyone was shocked. Zheng ignored his burn as he grabbed Xuan at once and roared. “You gone mad? Or controlled? Do you want me to bust your head too?”

Xuan slid the pistol back into his sleeve then calmly said. “I will explain the situation later. There’s also something I am quite interested in… Put the questions away, you should give everyone a complete heal first. The corrosion is spreading to YinKong’s heart.”

Everyone looked to YinKong. The corrosion continued moving toward her chest after taking her arm away. The clothes near her arm was gone already. Zheng was scared and dropped any attempt to reason with Xuan. He yelled to God. “Give everyone a full heal! Deduct the points from me!”

Beams shot down from God and enveloped everyone aside from HaoTian, who was totally dead from a busted head. The beams on most only lasted for an instant. While the beams on Xuan, Zheng and YinKong were more intense. The three of them floated up the beams.

The next time Zheng opened his eyes, his skin was restored. Both him and YinKong had completed the healing but Xuan was still floating. They walked out of the beams. The platform grew noisy as their women also came out.

Zheng chatted with Lori for a bit then he held her hand and sat on the floor. The group began a conversation.

Xuan’s healing took five minutes, longer than any that they had experienced. As he descended from the beam, Zheng leaped from the floor and punched him on the face before Xuan got a hold of himself. It sent him flying six meters.

Zheng rushed over and picked him up. “What did you think comrades are? Answer me! Your weights? Or chess pieces? Answer me! I admit we don’t possess your intelligence. I admit your plans acquired benefits for us. I don’t know how you did it or what you did, but I know it was all for your scheme that none of our veterans died in this five way battle with team Celestial and the others. But! Do you think we should thank you?”

Zheng did not feel that was enough and punched Xuan again on the chin. The first punch already came with a bone fracturing sound. This one basically crushed the bones of Xuan’s chin. He was not sent flying as Zheng was holding him by the collar and shouted. “We are comrades! Not robots used by your to obtain victory! Not parasites leeching on you! We fight together!” Zheng breathed heavily, pondering if he wanted to give Xuan a few more punches.

Xuan’s chin was deformed at this point but there was no sign of pain on his face. He uttered strange sounds to God. A beam landed on him again and pushed Zheng away. Ten seconds later, Xuan came out of the beam.

“I could not speak due to fractured chin. Needed to restore first.” Xuan said.

Zheng was speechless. That was when he remembered Xuan did not have a sense for pain. Beating him up would not served no purpose other than wasting points. The realization depressed him. Nothing felt more discouraging than going against Xuan. Hitting him was useless and arguing… he had no chance. For a moment, Zheng felt he didn’t know what to do.

Xuan ignored the fact of getting hit. He sat down on the floor and said. “There was intention to let you know part of the plan in the beginning. However, HaoTian brought too much uncertainty, especially since he had over 50% chance of betraying. I couldn’t know for sure if he carried an audio transmitter. If any part of my plan was leaked, Adam wouldn’t give up such a good opportunity and the chance of us being wiped would be over 70%.”

Zheng took a deep breath. “Fine. I will let them pass. Now tell me what actually happened in Lord of the Rings? Why did you feign death. Wait, you really did die and we heard the notification at the time. I have a lot of questions. Why did you have to die? How did you die? How could you continue to exist afterward? What was the point? Secondly, HaoTian was part of our team. Where could he go if he betrayed us? Wouldn’t he also die if he betrayed us? Thirdly, what was the conversation between you and team Celestial? “Based on his impression of me, it was unlikely that he would cooperate without huge pressure. Furthermore, this cooperation was him acting as my subordinate. I became suspicious at the time and gave him the hypnotizing device. The hypnotizing device was also a mind controlling device. If he betrayed me, I could gain control of him. If he didn’t, the device would be used to control the Nemesis. Given his personality, he would use the device for certain once he confirmed my death. He would not let the other members gain control of the Nemesis.

I began to consider the possibility of faking death. However, there was a critical flaw. If HaoTian betrayed us, a fake death would make him become alert. He would at least know that I was suspicious of him. Gandalf also died and revived in the movie. That was why I seeked Galadriel. Her blessing bestowed the unique attribute of elves to my mind, which was preventing the mind from dissipating after death. My body died at the time but my mind remained in the body. An attempt to explain it with science is electrostatic resonance. Fluctuations in our minds cause our brains to emit electrical signals. If technology reaches a higher level, particles in the air can be tuned similar to electrical signals of the brain. Which meant the mind could separate from the brain and exist using the particles as carrier… This is merely my speculation. My body was indeed dead at the time but my mind remained conscious. The state could not last long and does not allow the mind to use the body nor could the mind come into contact with the outer world. That was why the leaf of Telperion was necessary.”

Zheng looked at him with surprise. “The leaf of Telperion?”

Xuan nodded. “Yes. Galadriel described it as an aggregation of higher level energy, which grants the body the energy it required. Even after the body died, one could move given the leaf of Telperion. Of course, a mind was needed to control this body. Thus, the gift you received from her was the leaf.”

Zheng interrupted him. “Wait. Why didn’t she give the gift directly to you? What if I couldn’t remember to give you the leaf?”

Xuan glanced at him and said calmly. “I made the plan with the assumption that we were being monitored. If that was the case, Galadriel giving me two gifts was abnormal. Such abnormality would mean we had lost. Therefore, that item must be given to you, the leader. Of course, I could also get the item in secret. However, how could anyone take it out and feed it to me under surveillance? Someone was bound to discover the act. Comparing the two scenarios, giving the item to you then had you feed me without knowing the plan… was the start of the plan.”

Room is to be thoroughly soundproofed and securely locked when studies of SCP-145 are not in progress. Under no circumstances shall any personnel come into physical contact with SCP-145 without being accompanied and constantly observed by one or more other personnel unless conducting testing with proper authorization. Any personnel showing signs of intense psychological trauma must be immediately escorted out of the containment area. Depending on the level of trauma of affected personnel, they may be required to submit to consultation with an approved psychiatrist for no less than two weeks.
Description: SCP-145 appears to be a standard 2002-model cordless telephone handset of Alcatel brand on its standard issue charging base. The charging base appears defaced; all jack inputs are sealed with resin glue and the power input to the device has been gouged out with an unknown sharp tool. Serial number and production date are unavailable as all labels and stickers have been ripped off or defaced. The phone rings constantly whether it is on the base or not regardless of the lack of power source. Tests have shown the battery is removable, and disassembly of the base has not shown any effect on the hand unit. The hand unit itself has had all the seams sealed, preventing conventional disassembly. When answered a female voice speaks on the phone in a voice that shows high levels of stress. This voice varies from conversation to conversation, but in all cases the voice expresses extreme panic, and proceeds to plead with the listener for assistance as she describes instances of torture conducted on unknown victims. In the background, the listener will hear sounds of violence and expressions of pain and anguish. Audio analysis has so far indicated at least ██ individual voices over disparate calls. The methods of torture implied thus far (judging from the phrases and reactions of those speaking at the time of contact) have included branding, electrocution, laceration, sexual assault, [DATA EXPUNGED] and dismemberment.
The callers appear to be non-automated and entirely sentient. Attempts to trace the call or track down the location of the tortured callers have proven unsuccessful thus far. Attempts to block the signal of the phone with the use of a Faraday cage have also been unsuccessful.
Research is conducted in teams of at least three (one Class D staff, one Class 2/145 audio technician, and one Class 3 security staff), with only Class D staff permitted to have direct auditory contact with SCP-145's transmissions. Testing has shown that in 100% of cases, a subject answering SCP-145 without live supervision will vanish without any indications of transportation methods. Video recording devices do not show the method of transport; the subject will be present in one frame and absent in the next. In case of disappearance, the phone will simply fall to the floor. I don't know who thought this might be a good idea. I know sometimes we let sympathy get the better of us, but this attempt to bring 'relief' to SCP-145's victims just cost the Foundation a lot of money and resources.

"What happen?" Hero No. 013 Nafla Summer was the first to reply to the message. He was the only one who was currently not on a special duty. 
Soon the special channel that was shared among the thirteen of the original Heroes of the Companion of Justice was flooded with the same question, "What happened?"
"I give up," Hero No. 001 replied, adding the crying emoji at the end of his message. He was the person who sent the telepathic message to the Thirteen.
"What?" Nafla freaked out immediately. His wife was peacefully asleep next to him, snoring rhythmically.  He closed his mouth and discreetly left the room, entering the bathroom, locking the door, and replying to the message, "Slow down brother, tell us what happened to you."
"Hang on, wait, what? WTF, let me defeat this Demon Lord first." Hero No.002 immediately replied via an audio message.
"Me too, don't do anything stupid. Wait, I will help you after I defeat my Demon Lord," Hero No.003 shouted out with urgency. 
"Woaa, calm the fuck down and tell us what happened." Hero No.004 typed.
"Wait. What kind of Demon God are you fighting against?" Hero No. 010 asked.
"Don't do anything stupid. You are not alone," Hero No. 012 replied. He was the closest to No.001 among the Thirteen.
Soon the entire channel was flooded with encouraging message for Hero No. 001
"I just can't do this anymore," Hero No.001 continued, ignoring all the encouragement from his friends.
"Chill the fuck down Voo," Nafla sent his audio message as soon as he could. He had no idea what kind of foes that Voohoo Dialact the No.001 of the company is fighting against that he became like this. 
"Suicide won't solve anything." No. 012 shouted. "Calm down, V."
"Just hang on for three minute. I am using my ultimate on the Demon Lord. Don't do anything stupid." No. 002 replied.
"Who said anything about killing myself?" V typed, all in capital. 
"What?" the same message flooded the entire channel. 
Nafla sighed out in relief. If Voohoo had enough energy to type his message in capital letters in situation like this, he won't kill himself.
Suicide is a common occurrence within the company and that is especially true with the Ascended Heroes who has managed to become Immortal. There are many reasons that lead to such tragic end for Heroes, boredom, depression, addiction, etc… However, stress is easily the biggest and most common factor among all the factors. 
Among all the suicide cases that happened to the Heroes of the company, the lover suicide of Hero No.014 Romeo and the Demon Lord Juliet who he was supposed to dispatch became a phenomenon within the company for tons of reasons. Since, the number 014 was retired and no Hero was allowed to inherit that number.
It's not easy to be a Hero.
"Voo, calm down and slowly explain yourself. If you don't speak, we cannot help you," Nafla told, finally coming to himself. He was so freak out a moment ago, thinking that No.001 was about to kill himself.
"Yes, V. Take your time and speak to us," No. 012 added.
The channel slowly overflowed with the encouraging words for No. 001 to come out and tell everyone of his story.

I bombed the channel with a depressed emoji, having no word to say after listening to Voo's story. I have finally understood why Voo was so angry and depressed at the same time.
Voo was summoned to the Shroom Dimension #30061 to dispatch a Demon Lord by none other than the creator and owner of that Dimension. He was a God and the leader of the Pantheon of the Shroom Dimension. The Gods explained to Voo that a powerful Demon Lord has plagued their dimension and they could do nothing against that. After that, he offered Voo the sword of the Hero to combat the Demon Lord, but Voo declined anyway since he has collected over millions of those. He also turned down the prospect of any god and goddess to join his party to dispatch the Demon Lord since they are more likely to slow him down. After that, it was the usual <Search and Destroy>.
After 23 hours, Voo managed to locate the Demon Lord castle and flattened it with a Level 10,000 magic spell. He felt the vanished presence of the Demon Lord. Just when he thought he was done with the case, he received an anonymous telepathic message from an untraceable source, "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
Voo was confused, but he resumed his search for the Demon Lord. This time, he was lucky. He managed to track down the Demon Lord castle within 2 hours. It was the same Demon Lord castle he has just destroyed.  Again, with a Level 10,000 magic spell, he leveled an entire Demon Lord castle. Again, he felt the vanished presence of the Demon Lord. Again, he was informed, "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
After that, Voo destroyed no less than 30 Demon Lord castles in similar manner. Still, he received the same telepathic message from an untraceable source, "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
It was the same message all over again.
He started to ditch the idea of destroying the Demon Lord with the castle, thinking that maybe the Demon Lord possessed a special skill that allowed him to cheat dead. Voo challenged the Demon Lord castle just like the time he was a newbie Hero, fighting through hordes of demons, traps and dungeons, and finally reaching the Demon Lord.
Voo scanned the Demon Lord, did not see any special skill that would allow him to revive. He erased the Demon Lord while the bastard was grandiosely conducting his Demon Lord's etiquette speech to Hero.
Again, he received the same telepathic message, "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
Voo repeated the same procedure again for ten more times until he had enough. He came back to meet the Gods and demanded an explanation from them. 
They replied that they had the same problem dealing with that Demon Lord. No matter how many times they destroyed the Demon Lord, the bastard revived. Thus, they had to summon Voo to deal with the problem.
After that, Voo spent weeks, trying to hunt down the bastard, experimenting with different methods of dispatching him. He took time to study the Demon Lord, though, the arrogant bastard kept repeating his lines before attacking Voo. Even Voo could not understand why the bastard has nothing else other than repeating his introduction lines over and over again every single time they met. It was like he has no other line to say. As soon as the Demon Lord finished his lines, he would attack Voo and immediately die due to the unique reflection attribute of Voo.  Again and again, the Demon Lord kept dying from the reflection of his own attack. He kept committing suicide in the same manner over and over and over again. It was as if the bastard had a death wish or too stupid to learn. Again and again, he revived. Again and again, Voo received the telepathic message "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
Then, weeks became months and months turned into a year. Voo gave up on his usual <Search and Destroy> method and developed a cheating system to kill the undying bugger. He weaved countless words of power together to automatically kill the little bugger every time the bugger revives. 
The result?
His head was overflown with a universe of spams "Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
That message came into his head non-stop, ceaseless and endless, until it bugged out. He could only hear the word "Dear" repeated over and over again inside his head. Voo could take it no further. He demolished the cheating system he painstakingly created. 
"Dear Hero, your Demon Lord is in another castle. Better luck next time."
The bastard is still alive. Voo could not kill him and thus the message "Help" on the channel.
I think I would have gone insane if I was in the same position as Voo. He was a fucking hero for being able to stick with his job for an entire year.
"Brother, just take a day off to relax. You need a break." I suggested, thinking that I might have to end my honeymoon sooner than I have expected. 
"And therapy as well," No. 012 added.
Then, No. 003's telepathic message broke the channel.
"Have you tried destroying that dimension? Maybe that Demon Lord would not come back after that? Ps: I was <Emergency Summoned> again for a different case. How many times is it? Give me a break." 
"What?" I was completely stupefied by the message.
"V, absolutely do not do that," No. 012 immediately followed, typing the message in all capital letters.
"Woa, hang on, are you sure you are a Hero?"
"What the fuck is this insane woman suggesting?"
"That's a Demon Lord's thing to do."
"Can someone check the past record of her works? We might have a Fallen Hero among us."
Everyone expressed his or her doubt for No. 003's sanity. They thought that he stress must have done her in.
"V, don't listen to that deranged woman. I have killed my Demon Lord. Send me your coordination, I will teleport to…. Ah….What have you done to me, bastards? Why must you summon me at a time like this?"
This time it was No. 002. His screamed split my head and probably everyone else who was listening. The poor bastard was so shocked that he leaked that information into the channel by accident.
"Hahahahahaha"
I heard Voo's laughing voice. He doesn't sound okay to me.
"Voo?" I asked.
"Hahahahaha," he laughed again. He sounded like a broken man.
"Voo?" I asked nervously, no longer having the time to type, sending an audio message.
"V?" No. 012 asked.
"Hahahahaha, I will kill them all," Voo muttered.
"Phuck," I cursed and so did No.012.
My honeymoon ended just like that. It's never easy to be a Hero.

12. 45 A.M.
PAPAL PALACE, VATICAN CITY, ROME.
The Pope looks visibly shaken by what had just occurred few minutes ago as he sat on a sofa in the balcony. He had a clear view of the city in all its beauty, but he could barely appreciate the beauty as he normally did. Tonight strangely heralded impending doom and he could feel it; His fears were heightened after the unexpected intrusion into the palace. 
The strange intruder who introduced himself as just The Messenger did drop a message that had been haunting him since he left.
In the small brief case he delivered is a Blu-ray disk which contained a recorded voice message. 
He played it again, for the sixth time and listened to it but didn't quite understand the content as it comprised of a foreign language and pidgin English. 
He had sent for the Camerlengo through one of the Swiss guards guarding the lodge.
The Camerlengo is a clergy specially chosen by the Pope himself to serve as the administrator of the property and revenues of the Holy See and to assist him both personally and on official matters. He was much closer to the powerful religious leader than any other person.
He had chosen Pietro Francesco Bademosi, a Nigerian-born priest as his Camerlengo. He gave him the enviable position because of his exceptional brilliance. The Camerlengo knew more than was required in moral theology, philosophy and the canon law. His general efficiency made him easily likeable.
The heavy oak door opened a bit and the face of the handsome ebony priest appears.
"Morning, Santita. I was just informed that the security of your private quarters was breached a few minutes ago and the guards were attacked, are you okay?" He said, walking in and taking a seat opposite the Pope. 
He obviously still possessed youthful exuberance and he looked as bright and anxious as always. He was on a black night robe with a gold cord tied round the waist and was barefooted. 
"Yes, he didn't seem to be after my life." The Holy Father maintained a calm demeanor.
"Grazie a DioThank God, your life was spared. You seem worried, what was that all about?" The Camerlengo asked.
"This." He said, turning over the laptop to him. "I want you to listen carefully to this audio message."
The cleric played the audio and by the look on his face, he evidently understood what it meant.
"It is a threat. Your Holiness. A serious threat from an internationally acclaimed terrorist. I think he's from my country, Nigeria." the Camerlengo said when the audio finished playing.
"What is the content?" the Holy Father asked, fixing his eyes on the clergy. 
"Not something you would like to hear, padre." 
"Go ahead, we are listening."	
The Camerlengo shook his head.
"I think it's a trap. It claims to be from a notorious mafia and religious sect in Africa known as The Malibu and they're demanding your presence for a negotiation of some sort."
The Holy Father nods his head serenely.
"But it doesn't make any sense." the Camerlengo said. "There is more. He gives you only 24 hours to do so and threatens to blow up the Vatican City and unleash untold horrors if his needs are not met. He mentions all the important places of the Vatican, The Academy of Sciences, the Vatican library, the Belvedere palace, the Vatican museum, the Sistine chapel and even this very papal palace." 
"Is there any other thing we should hear?" The Pope asked.
The Camerlengo did little to hide his surprise. He had always known the Holy Father to be calm even when it was raining fire and brimstone, but he looked remarkable tonight, almost beaming right in the face of death.
"He promised to air this at exactly 6 a.m. today in every major television station in the Vatican and in the major countries of the world. According to the audio message, he would do disastrous things so as to demonstrate how serious he is."
"Perfect timing for the evil forces trying to take down the Holy Church. Tonight, we might be celebrating the risen Lord in an inferno."
"I beg of you, Your Holiness. Don't be pessimistic."
"You just heard it yourself, but something must be done. Get me the Chief Swiss Guard and inform the Alitalia that we would be requiring her services. 'Shepherd One' Should be readied. And we may possibly put an end to this before it becomes late." 
"But Your Holiness, your scheduled visit there is almost a month away and besides your life may be in danger, my Lord." The Camerlengo protests.
"Listen carefully, Francesco. If it's possible that this message could be delivered in such a manner, is it then our life that would be difficult to take? We are willing to sacrifice my life for the good of the church. We must have to do this."
"But Your Holiness, your scheduled visit to Nigeria is just a month away and besides your life might be in danger." The Camerlengo implored.
"We have made up our mind." The Pope said. 
The Camerlengo made a slight bow.
"If that is your wish, Holy Father."
"Please do send for Signoré Giovanni Lorenzo." 
"You mean the President of APSA?" The Camerlengo asked.
"Yes, we need him in times like this."

At this very moment, my mind was like my internet browser, nineteen tabs open while three of them are frozen and I have no idea where the music was coming from. 

A thousand thoughts were spiraling inside the genius head of mine, while my face was as red as a monkey’s bottom. Thoughts like ‘Who is this man the Queen Dowager was having an affair with?’ or ‘Is he someone of formidable power and prestige?’ or ‘Is he just a boytoy of the viper Queen?’ or ‘Could he be a hidden variable danger who might jeopardize our future plans?’ One side of my brain was stuck with such complex contemplations while the other side was busy dealing with the awkwardness of this rare degrading moment. 

 

“(Ahem!)… Are there any underaged children in the room at present?” I don’t know why I said that, well I was just trying to ease the situation by cracking ridiculous jokes but after I blurted out nonsense in a fluster, I realized I had just made the already awkward situation even worse. My hands holding on to the recorder pen shook ever so slightly. 

The otherwise pin-drop silent room was reverberating with the whimpering noises of the Queen Dowager’s once-upon-a pink spring night. 

I veered at the faces of the two people currently petrified to their positions, their expressions unspeakably dumbstruck, as though being stuck by lightning, their faces enflamed, as they stood solidified as statues bolted to the floor. 

And at this moment of time, I was not sure if I was awkward because of the situation or the situation was awkward because of me. I only knew that my life had become a series of awkward and mortifying moments separated by snacks. 

With quivering hands, I fumbled with the switch of the audio recorder pen and finally succeeded in tuning the embarrassing thing off. 

“Aha…Hahaha… Haha….(Cough!) I-Its true what they say huh, we shouldn’t trust what our eyes show us blindly, even salt looks like sugar.” I tried again to ease the already awkward situation a bit, but the duo in the room only stared back at me with weirded eyes, as if questioning me with their eyes, ‘Is-this-really-the-time-to-speak-of-such-words?’ And what do you say to that? 

Hence tacitly so, I decided to shut up for the good of mankind. 

In a haste, I fast-forwarded the recording of the Queen Dowager’s spring night and then replayed the audio once again. 

“(Huff!) And? Is everything going according to the laid-out plans?” 

“What are you so worried about with me around? Of course, everything is going smoothly. You can rest assured my Queen, in the next twenty days, you will have Reuben’s head in a silver platter, all garnished and all. Hahaha..!” 

Both Lord Xavier and Cassandra’s eyes bulged three points when they heard the male voice’s words, but what finally set them off was the Queen Dowager’s following phrase. 

“(Sigh!) I hope so too. That conniving cretin is too sleeky. Every time I try to set him up, he ends up slipping right out of my grasp. But this time, (Chuckle!) If everything goes right, he along with Calavaria should be wiped out off the map of Reveldron entirely.” 

Lord Xavier was visibly shaking when he heard the Queen Dowager. Because, no one knew Reuben went to Calavaria with Lord Gilbert. Here Alexteris was disguising himself as the king and sitting upon the golden throne to confuse the crowd, but the crowd that we wanted to confuse, was not confused at all. Instead, they were setting up a trap within our trap to confuse us in turn, while at the meantime, taking advantage of our misperception to take out the king in one fell swoop. What genius plotting! 

I couldn’t help but shudder at the mere comprehension of our current situation. This Queen Dowager was on a whole another level. 

“Don’t you worry, My Queen. He has nowhere to run. Even Zeldereth is going to turn its back on the Regalious siblings this time. I will help you so you can take the throne away from the younger Regalious at ease after we are finished with Reuben.” 

“(Giggle!) What would I do without you, Viz.” The Queen Dowager’s girly giggle sounded more like a sinister chiming to my ears, sending chills down my spine. 

“For you, my dear love, I will lay down the entire world at your feet. What is a mere juvenile youth who is still wet behind his ears.” 

“I am fortunate to have you by my side, Viz. But I was really taken aback by the fire in the Southern Palace this time. I'm not really bothered by it, but that fool of an uncle of mine seems to be getting a bit ahead of himself, acting increasingly big-headed and reckless. We don’t want to scare the snake by hitting the grass prior to the right time. You understand what I mean, right?” 

“Of course my Queen, I shall warn Loghard to know his limits.” 

The earth-shattering truths my audio recorder pen revealed were nothing sort of a laughing matter. All the people in the room were so blindsided that they even seem to have forgotten to breathe for a moment. 

“….. His Majesty… His Majesty is in danger!” Lord Xavier suddenly exclaimed. 

All our expressions were similar to that of dreadful right now. All of us knew what and where it all went wrong. Queen Dowager Beatrice was already aware that Alexteris was sitting on the throne right now in place of Rueben at the moment, not only that, she also knew that Reuben was on a secret excursion and taking advantage of this knowledge, she had set up a ruse to murder him during this very excursion. Not to mention the fact that she knew who set fire to the Southern Palace. 

Geovelle Loghard! 

And who was this mysterious mob boss like figure behind the Queen Dowager? I could only gulp at the magnitude of the secrets that had been unveiled in a staggeringly simultaneous pattern. 

“His Majesty! I must go to aid His Majesty right this instant.” Lord Xavier did not look his usual self, he looked tired and disheveled and very perturbed. 

“Lord Xavier, please calm down.” I tried to pacify the anxious-looking man a bit. “We cannot afford to alert the Queen Dowager at this crucial moment. We must handle this matter with utter caution. If the Queen Dowager gets even the slightest of hint of us becoming aware of her devious plans, everything will be for naught.” 

Lord Xavier was a veteran in both court politics and the battlefield, so the initially nervous Lord quickly calmed himself down when he heard me. 

“You're right Your Highness. This official has been short-sighted for a moment. Forgive my indiscretion.” He bowed his head, abashed. 

“Both of you take your leave for the moment. We all need to cool down our heads and think of our future plan of action.” I said as I dismissed the two for the night. “And remember to be extra careful now, these are desperate times.” I reminded them before sending them away. Because these really were desperate times. The Queen Dowager who I thought to be totally clueless was so well-aware of the biggest secret of the Regalious brothers switching each other’s places, not to mention the fact that she planned to wipe out an entire city just to kill Reuben! How whacky was this woman! 

I bit my lip in unease as I fell back onto the bed, extremely worried about my volatile future. I realized once again that, whatever the future held for me, it was going to be nothing sort of pretty.

Chapter 1: The Reunion
Spider-man:Hey Nova long time no see.
Nova (Soft Chuckles): Y… Yeah it has, so how you been Spidy.
Spider-man: I've been good, you know been saving New York and everything but all in all pretty good. What about you?
Nova: Well that's good and saving the galaxy. Hey we should hang out sometime like old times.
Spider-man: Yea how about later on tonight?
Nova: Alright it's a date.
Spider-man: Huh?!?!
Nova: Ahh?? I said it sounds like a plan (Chuckles nervously)
Chapter 2: The Date?
Peter was in the shower but when he got out he heard the doorbell rang.
Doorbell rings
Peter: Just a sec.
Door opening
Peter (Gasps): Sam!? You're… you're early.
Sam: Yeah sorry I… just felt like coming to see and it seems like you were still getting ready.
Peter who's wearing nothing but a towel around his waist while Sam was looking up and down at him slowly and started blushing.
Peter (blushes in embarrassment): Ahh yeah why don't you come in while I get dressed alright?
Sam (blushing): Yeah sure whatever.
As Peter is getting dressed, Sam looks around his place and feels a little uncomfortable.
Sam (thinking): I don't know why but my heart is beating like crazy. I can't get the image of looking at Webhead being half naked and dripping wet.
Sam grap his chest and starts breathing heavily as he tries to understand what is going on with him at that moment.
Muffle audio
Peter: Hey… hello.? Earth to Sam!!
Sam: Huh?
Peter: I was asking you if you're ready to head out? Hey are you ok, you look a little pale.
Sam: Yeah Yeah I'm fine. We better get going, right?
Peter (Smilies slightly): Yeah let's go.
Chapter 3: The Kiss
As they have been walking around Manhattan looking for something to do, until they heard one of their stomachs growling so they went to a pizza place to get something to eat.
Waitress: Evening gentleman, Welcome to Lombardi's what can I get y'all?
Sam: Ahh. I'll just get a pepperoni pizza.
Peter: Yeah same here.
Waitress: Alrighty then I'll be right back with you food.
Both: Thank you.
Uncomfortable silence
Peter (Coughs)
Sam: So… it's been awhile since we last time… we hung out… just the two of us.
Peter: Yeah the two of us. Sam there was something I always wanted to tell you.
Sam: Aaahh… Oh look our food is here.
Waitress: Here you go two fresh hot pepperoni pizza
Sam: Oh yes. Thank you
Peter: Yeah, thanks. Sam, I really need to tell you this.
Sam (chewing so loud): Huh, can't hear you I'm eating.
After they finished eating they started heading towards the park. It was pitch black and hardly anyone there at that moment Peter grasped Sam's arm.
Peter: Sam, I need to tell you something it's important and I know you already know what I have to say.
Heart Beating
Sam (Gulps nervously): I don't know what you're talking about.
Peter looked at Sam with a serious face and all Sam could do was to blush and try to get his arm away from Peter but at the moment.
Women: Hey stop thief!!
Thief (Luahs): thanks for the cash bitch.
The thief ran and bumped into Peter and Sam and knocked them into each other and as they were falling they accidentally kissed as they fell to the ground.
Heart beat racing
Peter: S...s…..Sam
Sam: P...e...ter
Peter(Thinking): I don't know why but I can't stop. His lips are so soft and tender, the heat from his hands on my back, and what's this? (Gasps) Is he…?
Peter got up as quickly as he could while Sam layed on the ground lost in thought about what happened.
No audio
Peter: Sam. Sam. Sam we got to go.
Sam: huh? Oh yeah let's go.
When they ran after the thief they saw that the crook was already being taken care of by Hawkeye.
Sam: I guess Hawkeye can handle it.
Peter: Yeah then maybe we should call it a night maybe.
Sam: Y…..ye…..yeah I'll walk you back to you place.
Peter: Yeah sure. Let's go
  Chapter 4 : Locked-Out
Peter and Sam were silent the whole way back to Peter's place and once they were at the doorstep Peter just walked inside without saying anything and Sam just went back home.
Peter ran up to his room and shut the door and jumped on his bed tossing and turning with mixed feelings about the kiss.
All Sam could do was look at the ceiling in discomfort, not only at his emotions but with not knowing what Peter was thinking about the kiss and if things will ever be the same again.
Sam (thinking): Why. Why can't I get him out of my mind
Sam's inner voice: those eyes, those sexy ass hazel.
Sam: Uuugghhh!!! Shut up!! It can't be do I really, no no it was just at the heat of the moment.
Peter (thinking): I...I can't believe that happened. What should I do? Maybe I should text him to see how he's feeling about this whole ordeal.
Peter grabbed his phone and was about to message Sam, but he hesitated.
Peter: Maybe I should wait til morning.
Chapter 5: Time apart
It's 7a.m  and neither Peter nor Sam haven't slept even once, because everytime they go to sleep they see one other getting all close and kissing each other, and so much more.
    Both: Today is going to be a pain.
Peter: Maybe I should talk to Sam to help relieve some of this tension.

Spiderman: Huh Spidey sense. That's strange. I don't see any danger, just a little girl crying. I better keep my guard up for now.
He carrierly walks up to the girl. When he was close enough a giant scare just appeared on his chest gushing blood from his chest. He laid on the floor bleeding out,he started to lose consensus and the little girl suddenly disappeared.
Spiderman (Weakly): Wait….don't….go.(sighs)
