Lili stood in complete silent when she sees her reflection stares back at her in the big mirror of her room. She definitiely changed. At this point her pastel gown doesn’t match her pale skin color no more. Or her silver crown towards her night black hair.

Maybe ‘terrified’ is a good word to describe how Lili sees herself. Her trembling hands and cold sweat are another thing to clear up how panicked she is. She’s already out from the throne successor and now she even loses her gold hair and tan skin.

Now standing in front of the front door she slowly opens the door, everything looking just as they had left it only now dust lays heavy on the ground and furniture, walking slowly through the empty dusty room. Up the stairs cobwebs hanging everywhere dust motes flittering about the air like dancers in the stream of sunlight coming through the windows, pausing for a moment to remember it was just like this when they first came to this house and she walked up these stairs immediately from walking through the door just as she was doing now, she laughs a dry laugh and continues going. The weight on her shoulders grow heavier as she moves further up the stairs into the cold dusty house, how long has it been since that night? How long has it been since the girl in the mirror vanished? Sometimes she forgets to be honest, she has no idea why she was brought back to this house. Was it for answers? Was it in hopes of revenge? Was it hope of maybe getting their mother back? Amanda doesn't know now that she is actually there but she knows it can't really be for anything good.
The shadows dancing along the walls with the sunlight. She reaches the top of the stairs to the door at the end of the stairs, grabs the door knob and turns it ever so slowly, the door clicks open and creaks slowly opening like it's inviting her to play another game. The whispers start just as they once had what felt like so long ago, the room cold, dark and dusty slowly warms and brightens the room looks clean and the furniture was back in upright positions any trace of the fire gone like no smokey smell and no scortch marks where the flames once kissed the floor boards. There on the wall the mirror still stands tall and in that mirror everything is reflected as it has always done only instead of her she sees Yvonne standing there staring at her with wide eyes surpirised Amanda had come back.
"What are you doing here? Why did you come back?" Yvonne asks quizically, Amanda shakes her head and puts a finger to her lips to signal for silence. Amanda came here on a mission and will not let this old friendship get in the way because she knows Yvonne will not help her on her mission to answer these questions and find the truth, so with long strides Amanda searches every corner of the room  with Yvonne watching her with a confused look on her face. Amanda's first question she needed to be answered was what happened to Clarice? How did she disappear? If she did manage to sneak out how did she do so without being spotted at all? Then seeing Yvonne had made her think about it maybe there was a secret room or secret stairwell, some home built in the 1700's did still have entrances for maids so it's possible they made one as well when building a house for the simple face they had just come from france and what better place to look than the place that is the most popular. Amanda goes to every inch of each wall knocking on them searching for that hollow sound to ring so far no luck though then she gets close to the mirror taking that chance, she knocks on the space beside the mirror frame and sure enough...
It's hollow she grins a smile victory grin and grabs the side of the mirror, Amanda can see Yvonne look curiously at her watching Amanda's every move. See Amanda didn't expect the mirror to move or anything she hoped to maybe find a switch or something but instead she tugged alittle and the mirror had moved which only gave her incintive to try and pck the darn thing up, and when she does Amanda was surpirsed to find it was fairly light considering how big it was. With that said she manage to move it but it swung open like a door, inside was dark and cold like the rest of the house she fishes in her jacket pocket to find her phone and pnce the phone was retrieved Amanda turns the flashlight on and steps into the space behind the mirror. It's a bit cramped inside the space but has two halls one to the left of her and one to the right, something pulled her attention to the right side so Amanda heads in that direction. Once she reaches the end of that little hall there is another door but this door had a padlock on it, the lock was rusted away  and after looking around she managed to find bolt cutter to break it. Thankfully the rust did most of the work for her and the lock broke quickly, with that she pushed the door open and slowly walks into the room. This room looks almost identical to the mirror room, this room is dusty, cold, damp, even fully of cobwebs and essentially what the mirror room is supposed to look like after not being used from so long. Only this room has no window which Amanda thought to be strange, she makes her way through the room to a beautiful but dusty rose colored vanity table and on it was a hand mirror, a book, some pens, and even a few different brushes. Amanda picks up the book to find on the inside the first name was almost completely faded and illegible but the last name was Autry so the room must have been a secret room for one of the Autry women she flips through the pages of the book to find  all the pages were withered and old easy to tear, so she fingered each page through it carefully most of the words faded and illegible but the last few entries were readable so she reads the pages eager to know what the book contains even if it's only nonsense.
'March 3rd,
Today mother came to see me again like she always did, she brushed my hair while humming a beautiful melody a song she says that is only between us. I asked my mother about the name of the song she told me it's title was  Do DO, L'enfant Do,  a popular french lullaby her mother taught her who had learned from her mother and so on.
"So why am I the only one who knows of it in our family?" I asked her, she simpy smiled at me with sad eyes and says.
"Since we took away your freedom and kept you hidden I thought it was only fair to show you things no one else can see or know, I am sorry again my child for keeping you here. I promise we will find a time to let you out but at this moment it's not safe." She wispers holding my hands to her warm chest, my mother had told me once they hid me away for my own safety. To protect me from the man who wanted to harm me so I must be a good girl and stay hidden until i'm 18, so I sgreed to go along with them and their thoughts of protection but i'm 17 so I am getting pretty antsy to go out and explore...'

Long vacations always leave interesting stories, can be fun or even vice versa. Who wants a nice vacation must end with a bitter vacation. 

To be honest, yesterday's vacation has been a bittersweet vacation for me. I'm reluctant to visit that house forever.

I stopped my car which finally led me to a house in area A, a quiet area but close to the bustle of the City. The house is a house that was purchased by my father, the purpose for my inventory later. That's why the house was left empty. In fact, you could say it was never occupied. However, household items such as beds, cabinets, tables and chairs are neatly arranged. Some of them are art items and family relics. This vacation might be the right vacation for me to relax in that house, relax in a comfortable place while doing my final project. 

After finishing making hot chocolate, that night I went upstairs and started working on my final project report. The house atmosphere is very quiet, just right with my wishes. I was so lonely that I felt alone in the house, even though there was Mang Agus, the caretaker of this house downstairs. 

When I was concentrating on my final project, I was a little annoyed by the old makeup mirror right in front of my bed. Because it looks a bit creepy, I finally decided to move the old mirror. 

When I moved the mirror, suddenly a very cold wind blew. Instantly I grabbed my shoulder and thought where this wind was coming from, even though the windows and doors were tightly closed. I didn't have time to think for a long time, suddenly it sounded like the sound of someone's breath coming from the back of my neck. Instantly the hair on my neck stood up, the sound and the wind gave me goosebumps all over. I turned around and tried to see it. But no one. Out of fear, I immediately came out of the room and slept in the basement while watching TV. 

The next day I started exploring this house. It turns out that this house is quite large and I just found out that in the yard of this house there is a swing that looks quite old. I sat on the swing and looked at my house. But there is something strange, after I think about it, this front house looks creepy, because the balcony next to my room on the top floor looks dirty, unkempt. But only that part seemed that way, and it seemed like it had been left unattended for a long time. I wonder why the balcony was left damaged like that. 

When I asked Mang Agus, who was cutting the grass at that time, he didn't say much. It's just, mang Agus said that I shouldn't stay in front of here too long, it's not good he said. Mang Agus is worried that the local youths here will disturb me. I'm sure that's not the case. Looks like Mang Agus is hiding something. 

After Mang Agus went inside, I sat back on the swing while looking at the balcony. After getting a little bored, I left. 

Suddenly someone threw stones at me. I looked outside the fence and someone threw stones at me. It turned out that the stone throwing came from behind the house, apparently from the direction of the balcony. I kept watching the balcony, it seemed like someone was there, and oh my, I saw a black shadow just passing by on the balcony. I hurried into the house. I went upstairs to confirm who was on the balcony that time. 

After I got to the balcony, there was no one else. I began to think that something was wrong with the balcony. I sat silently looking at the balcony, until suddenly ... 

"The old mirror is sliding a little, it's scary ... it's near my bed" 

From the direction of my room, now I hear my own voice moving the mirror old like I did last night. Slowly I approached my room and I opened the door. I walked into my room but there was no one. I tried to catch my breath and suddenly again I felt cold air blowing my neck behind me. When I turned around ... arrgghh, right at my door stood a woman with long black hair, a black dress and a black face as if on fire, and what was clear was only her eyes wide at me. I shouted out loud. Immediately mang Agus came to my room and tried to calm me down. 

After that incident, I immediately called my father and told him what happened to me in that house. I don't think dad wants to be honest. Then I urged Mang Agus to tell him the truth about what was going on in this house. 

Finally, Mang Agus wanted to tell him, that the balcony had never been restored since it was first there. Although there are renovations in this house, the balcony cannot be touched or repaired at all, as that is a condition for my father's pet creatures to stay. The position of objects in the house should not be moved. Mang Agus is sure that this started when I moved the position of the old mirror, which he said was not an ordinary mirror, but a mirror of the most powerful watchman in the house.

The victorian house groaned as Anna made her way up the stairs. Her bedroom was on the first floor at the front of the property.  Her parents room was to the rear of the building and the long bathroom stretched the length of the hallway. The staircase continued to wrap around the second floor which Anna had not managed to explore. Flicking the switch on the first floor, Anna decided she would continue to the second floor where all the junk and numerous boxes yet to be unpacked had been dumped. 
The second floor was a small square landing at the top of the house . A tall internal door with a golden knob stood out on the shabby landing. The rain was still pounding on the sky light window but the warmth of the property made Anna forget the horrid weather outside. 
Anna went to the lonely door and pushed hard to open the it and discover the treasures which were hidden within the room. 
The loft space was dreary and other than a few boxes from their old house it held items which hadn't been touched for years and years. Cobwebs hung low from the rafters of the room and dust had settled on almost every available space. The bare floorboards creaked as Anna made her way into the room ready to investigate the many items untouched in this empty house. 
The only light which entered into the room was that from the daylight outside which poked its way into the room through the small circular window. 
Pushing a large cobweb to one side Anna dusted off the first cardboard box which attracted her attention. With the words 'do not open' its always the most intriguing of items. Opening the box, Anna found a variety of hats and scarves in the box. Large round formal hats with fur lining they looked beautiful and well kept. Small moth balls had been packed in to the box to protect the items within it, indicating they were once loved and meant something to someone a long time ago. 
The next few boxes all contained clothing which appeared to belong to a man and lady but nothing Anna recognised in her era. The stale smell of dust lingered in the room indicating just how long the items had probably been left unattended and stranded in the empty loft space. 
Anna turned around to see what other items were in the space, old but grand furniture covered the space. The loft was a vast space which covered the entirety of the building. Anna thought the space would make a beautiful study for her to come and do her homework and generally relax. As she skulked around the room in a general day dream a beautifully crafted full length mirror caught Anna's eye. Covered behind an old sheet, Anna made her way to the mirror to take a closer loom. She removed the sheet to reveal the white baroque style finish with intricate detail. The mirror was exquisite. Anna thought it would look beautiful in her new room so made an attempt to lift it to tKe it back downstairs. 
As Anna stepped to grab the mirror, her foot caught in the sheet she had dropped, she struggled to keep her footing as she held the mirror. The sheer weight of the mirror prevented her from keeping her balance, Anna fell with the mirror crashing in front of her, the largest crash boomed across the house as the mirror shattered into a 1000 pieces across the wood floor boards.

When Anna moves to a different town she has to get to start again making new friends and learning to blend in to the crowd. But after a run in with an ancient mirror, a strange character appears and ensures that Anna does anything but blend in. 
Follow Anna as she tries to understand who this character is and face the long battle ahead for inner peace or an unexpected death.

The train ride back to Hogwarts seemed to go by in a blink of an eye. There was one topic that dominated in our cabin, the Firebolt.
"100 galleons," Alicia yelped. "That's practically what my Cleansweep six cost brand new."
"It surprised me too," I replied. "But, my dad explained that materials are an important component in charm-crafting. And considering that the Firebolt is going to be the fastest broom in the world, it only makes sense that the materials are expensive."
"My parents are gonna go nuts if I ask them for the money for another broom," Alicia grumbled. "They just bought me my Cleansweep last year."
Seeing a carefully neutral expression on Cedric's face made me realize I had stuck my foot in my mouth when I mentioned the money. I guess I had taken how well off my family was for granted. All I had to do was mention it to my parents if I ever wanted anything, and they got it for me. Considering Cedric's Dad worked for the Ministry, coming up with a 100 galleons was probably a bigger deal to him.
My eyes brightened as an idea occurred to me. "What about your share of the stash from the Grendel's vault?"
Alicia looked embarrassed and mumbled, "I kinda spent it all."
"How in Merlin's name did you spend it already?" I asked.
"A girl had needs," she defended.
Hoping that she wasn't alone in her spending, she looked to the others.
Cedric shook his head, "My dad took mine and opened me an account at Gringotts. But, he doesn't want me to touch it till I come of age."
Anna, being the daughter of a tycoon, was in a similar boat to me. She shook her head, "I haven't touched mine."
Seeing how uncomfortable Alicia and Cedric were, I decided to backpedal, "Well, you'll have plenty of time to come up with the money. It's going to take me some time before I get skilled enough to enchant at that level."
Inwardly, I was already planning on how to make sure my friends could get the money. Knowing Cedric, he would reject any attempt at what he viewed as charity. I would have to give this some thought. One way or another, I was going to make sure he ended up on a Firebolt. I was looking forward to the day he could match his seeker skills when they were on even footing.
 
Before I knew it, we were back at Hogwarts having dinner. A small pang of pity shot through me as I caught sight of Harry looking delighted to see his friends back at school.
If things went according to canon, Harry spent much of the break gazing at The Mirror of Erised, at least, before Professor Dumbledore took it and enchanted it to be the final layer of defense for the Philosopher's Stone.
Thinking about the Mirror made me tempted to go and check it out. I even knew of an easy shortcut that would let me bypass all the other obstacles, the Room of Requirement. The room might even allow me to summon the Mirror directly.
For whatever reason, during the next couple of days, the idea of visiting the Mirror of Erised haunted my thoughts. It was like a mental itch I couldn't scratch. One evening, unable to fall asleep, I finally decided to check the Mirror out and see if it did everything the books claimed it did.
Not wanting to be caught out of bounds, I applied the Disillusionment Charm. After feeling the sensation of an egg running down my neck, I paused to examine my camouflage.
I had come a long way with the charm. The chameleon effect was nearly perfect. But, I knew it could be taken further. Supposedly Professor Dumbledore could cast one powerful enough to make him fully invisible. I wasn't quite there yet, but I was looking forward to the day I achieved perfect mastery of the spell.
Knowing I would probably need help, Athena tagged along. I knew better than to try and use the Disillusionment Charm on her. The one time I tried it out on her, I instantly regretted it. Her caterwauling nearly burst my eardrums.
Carefully sneaking through the castle, I made it to the Room of Requirement without incident. I closed my eyes and tried to summon the Mirror of Erised.
For the first time since I've been at Hogwarts, the Room of Requirement failed me. I can't say I was too surprised. I assumed that it didn't work because Professor Dumbledore put down some pretty strong spells on the Mirror, preventing it from being summoned.
Since Plan A didn't work, I moved onto plan B. I had discovered quite a while ago that the exit to the Room of Requirement could be moved through the castle. The plan was to get the exit to open by the Mirror, bypassing all the layers of defense surrounding the Mirror. The only other thing I needed to do was have Athena keep the door open, so I didn't get trapped down there.
After concentrating on my desire for the exit to open next to the Mirror of Erised, I reached out and opened the exit to the Room of Requirement. I smiled when I noticed that the exit was no longer in the 7th-floor corridor but rather a larger stone chamber dimly lit by torchlight.
Looking down at Athena, I whispered, "Stay here and keep the door open."
The first thing I noticed was that the chamber only had one entrance. It was blocked by eerily black flames that promised to sear the flesh off anyone who hadn't drunk the correct potion. Thankfully, I was able to bypass Professor Snape's puzzle.
Satisfied that no one was coming through the black flames, I turned my attention to the only object in the chamber, the Mirror of Erised.
When most people hear the term mirror, they tend to think of a small mirror hanging above a sink in a bathroom, or perhaps a larger one in the bedroom. The Mirror of Erised put those to shame. It was enormous, standing at around fifteen feet. Perhaps only Hagrid could view a mirror of that size as normal. Its ornate golden frame was supported by two clawed feet. There was an inscription carved around the top: Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi
As I drew closer, I could feel my heart beating in my chest. Part of me wanted to turn back. Having one's innermost desires laid out in front of them could be both enlightening and troubling at the same time.
Professor Dumbledore warned Harry that the Mirror had driven people mad before. Still, even with that warning rumbling through my head, I drew closer to the Mirror. I had to know. I wanted to see what it would show me.
For a split second, I only saw myself in the Mirror. Just as I was wondering if the Mirror was broken, the scene changed.
It was everything I thought it would be and more. They say a picture was worth a thousand words, but the images shown in the Mirror were worth tens times that amount.
The first thing I saw was a very familiar image. It was the family room in my house. Everyone in my family was there, all having a good time. The more I studied the image, the more it changed. It started adding people, it wasn't just my family, but all my friends as well.
One strange detail I noticed while I was in the gathering happy as a clam. I noticed it wasn't the only image of me. Taking a step back, I noticed an older shadowy version of myself was watching the gathering.
I seemed to be sitting on my Hawk Throne with one hand supporting my chin as I lazily gazed down at my friends and family. If I had to put an age to my older self, I would say my mid-twenties.
Focusing on the shadowy version of myself, I started noticing more details. Like a shallow scar running through my left eyebrow and down my cheek. Or the ring with a gem that shifted colors on my right hand.
If those details weren't strange enough, the older version of myself glanced up and made eye contact with me.
Without thinking, I took a step back from the Mirror. What in Merlin's Addled Mind was that?
His steely grey eyes seemed to focus on me for a moment before he playfully winked. Like he was amused by my reaction. He waved his other hand, and the family scene he was watching over started morphing.
The next scene showed me another desire that I kept buried deep down—the downfall of the Whitehorn family along with their syndicate. Part of me wanted to look away from the nightmarish scene, but another part of me, a colder part of me that I rarely let out of its cage, kept my eyes glued to the Mirror.
I was standing wand in hand in a dark room with seven large chairs in a U shape. Shadowy figures whose facial features I couldn't make out sat in six of the chairs. But one I recognized, it was Declan Whithorn, head of the syndicate. Standing on either side of his chair were Michael and Delvin.
What happened next was grisly, even for me. The me in the image started tearing through them like a sickle cutting a path through wheat.
Spells that I didn't recognize were being fired off one after the other—each producing a different effect. One shadowy figure exploded into a bloody pink mist. Another had their face melted off. Declan ended up being hit by a slicing spell that cut him from head to groin. He collapsed into two separate pieces spilling his guts across the floor.
Delvin, his cowardly son, died quickly with a look of terror on his face when he was hit by a green jet of light. The scene ended with me towering over Michael, who was tearfully blubbering on his hands and knees. The cold sneer on my face told me Michael wouldn't survive.
Bile rose in my throat, and my stomach threatened to empty its contents. "That is not me," I pointlessly shouted at the mirror version on me. "I would never."
My voice trailed off as the Mirror showed a nearly identical scene. It didn't go down the same as the previous times. But it didn't change anything. The mirror image of me ripped through them, gleefully tearing them apart. Over and over, the Mirror showed me this scene, ruthlessly pounding it into my head that part of me, however small, wanted this.
I don't know how many times I viewed it, but I was starting to understand how the Mirror of Erised could drive someone mad. The Mirror didn't just show you your main desire. It showed all of them. Even the ones you weren't proud of, the ones you wouldn't act on, the desires you knew were wrong but still had.
Only after finally admitting to myself that yes, a part of me wanted to do horrible things to the Whitehorn's and their syndicate. The part that would do anything to protect my family, the part that would ruthlessly crush anything that threatened my family. Did the Mirror move on and showed me other things I desired.
The next scene was thankfully less violent; it was a picture of me waving and receiving awards and accolades for breakthroughs in magic. All while being congratulated and welcomed by the best minds in magic.
The Mirror moved on and showed me leaving behind my contribution to the Library of Ravenclaw. It was so impressive that it overshadowed all the other heirs, even Ravenclaw herself.
On and on, the Mirror showed me the things I wanted. Most were good, but some were dark and better left unspoken. Some were obvious, like being the youngest international dueling champion or mastering magical disciplines. Others were more confusing, like me winning the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup for Ravenclaw when I wasn't even on the quidditch team.
Just when I thought it was over, the Mirror started showing images of what every teenage boy thinks about, girls. Apparently, part of me wanted to be a real Casanova because there was no shortage of girls, most of whom were my classmates.
My cheeks burned red in embarrassment when I saw an image of Jessica, teasing me about what she wore under her Hogwarts robes. When Anna joined her, I nearly passed out. I tried to cover my eyes with my hands, you know, out of respect for my friends. But for some reason, the gaps between my fingers refused to close, showing me everything, EVERYTHING.
The more scenes that were shown to me made me sheepishly realize that compared to Harry Potter, who only saw his parents in the Mirror, I was a greedy son of a bitch. Apparently, I wanted everything.
I'm not sure how long I was standing there, mesmerized by the images shown, but a noise startled me and brought me out of it.
I shook my head, trying to clear the fuzziness. Once my head was clear, I took several deep breaths. The kind when you're underwater for way too long, and you surface gasping as if you want to inhale all the oxygen in the world.
Turning, I saw Athena staring at me with concern. She must have turned up the volume when she saw how deep the Mirror had drawn me in.
Turning back to the Mirror, I frowned. Whoever invented the Mirror of Erised was a real bastard. No wonder wizards could be driven mad looking into this thing. Who knows what long-term damage could be done if someone was allowed to stare at the Mirror uninterrupted. I bet someone could easily starve to death, so drawn in that they lose perspective of everything. Or perhaps they would become so lost in the illusions the Mirror showed, preferring it to reality. Perhaps that was its original purpose before Professor Dumbledore repurposed it to defend the Stone.
Although, I knew I should leave it alone. I decided to try one more thing. I was a little tempted to see if I could get the Philosopher's Stone. All I would want is a piece, something I could experiment on.
The Stone could make anyone who drank the water it produced immortal. Yes, it was a shitty version of immortality. But still, it was a powerful piece of magic, and I had a weakness for those.
This time, I was warier when I looked into the Mirror. I wasn't about to get sucked deep in again.
The Mirror showed me what I wanted, me holding the Philosopher's Stone. But, similar to Quirrell's experience, that was all it did.
As I watched myself experimenting and learning the Stone's secrets. I realized I would never in a million years pass Dumbledore's test of wanting to find the Stone, but not use it. It just wasn't who I was. If I had the Stone, I would use it or experiment on it, hoping to perfect the immortality it gave.
As soon as the thought appeared, the older version of myself appeared behind the version of myself experimenting on the Stone. For the second time, he winked at me, like he knew something I didn't. He pulled out a familiar aspen wand dispelling that version of me.
Seeing him smirk at me made the hairs on the back of my neck rise up. He, I mean me, whatever it was, was starting to seriously weird me out. So, I slowly backed away and let out a sigh of relief when the image faded away.
Turning to Athena, who was still holding the door to the Room of Requirement open, I said, "I think I've seen enough for tonight. Let's go back."
Athena happily chuffed, pleased to be leaving the creepy Mirror behind.
When we got back to the dorm, I realized it was nearly morning. Just how long had I been staring at the Mirror before Athena snapped me out of it?
Already, I could feel the urge to return to see what else it would show me. A small part of me argued that perhaps the Mirror's power could be harnessed in some way. Maybe I could use it as a guide to get things I wanted.
I shook my head, snapping out of it. I privately swore never to go back. It was just too dangerous, too addictive, and not worth the danger. I sounded like someone strung out on pixie dust and was making excuses to get my next fix.
As I laid in bed waiting for the sun to rise, I couldn't help but think about everything I had seen. In a way, the Mirror had given me a brutally honest glimpse into who I was, of what I wanted.
Some of the things the Mirror showed me were pure childish fantasies. Like being the Captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team and winning the Quidditch Cup. Sure, I had fantasized about it when I was younger, but that wasn't really something I thought about anymore. Maybe the Mirror doesn't care. Maybe as long as you've wanted it, it will show it to you, trying to entice you to sink deeper within the delusion.
Some of the other stuff it showed me weren't even things I actively thought about. Somehow it reached deep within my subconscious and pulled them out.
Of course, most of what was shone was spot on for what I wanted. But, the one thing my mind kept going back to was the older version of myself. I knew not to take the things I saw seriously; the Mirror was just trying to tempt me. But still, he somehow felt different.
The obvious conclusion was it was a version of myself that mastered magic and was at the height of power, everything I wanted to be. Still, the way he looked at me, it was like he was so real.
I shivered as goosebumps flooded my arms.
Thankfully, the sun's rays peeking through my windows distracted me from my thoughts. Somehow in the daylight, last night's events seemed more distant. Knowing that it would be a long day, I dug through the many potions I had brewed, looking for a wide-eye potion.
Normally I would power through the day, but I had potions later today, and the last person who dozed off in class ended up with a month's worth of detentions testing antidotes. The wide-eye potion would keep me awake, and even with the cost of me being twice as tired when it wore off, the effects were more than worth it.
The next couple of days sucked. The urge to return to the Mirror of Erised was nearly overpowering. I was halfway tempted to erase the whole experience from my mind but ultimately decided against it. If I couldn't handle something like this, how was I ever supposed to master magic?
While the driving urge to return to the Mirror slowly faded away, I was left with some very confusing dreams, most of which I couldn't remember the contents other than remembering that they were strange.

Evening comes.
The fluorescent lights flooded the entire home.
The cook and housemaids were busy preparing dinner in the kitchen.
Graven and the girls were relaxing on the terrace outside the house. They watched the multitude of fireflies gathering in the air in front of them.
"Wow! So magical and splendid!" Laura murmured to herself. The night's atmosphere in the countryside always gives her a sense of peace and calmness.
Rebecca heard Laura's words of admiration for the fireflies. "Beautiful, isn't it?"
Laura smiled and looked at Rebecca. "Yes! Splendid! They're shining like stars in the sky!" she muses.
Rebecca stared at Graven's eyes sweetly. "Honey, I like to bond with Laura tonight. I will sleep in her room tonight. Is that okay with you?" she purred.
For a moment, Graven looked at the two women with a raised brow. After a while, he answered, "Okay..." he gave his permission.
"Thank you, honey!" Rebecca spoke in a sugary voice. She looked at Laura and winked at her.
One hour later.
The housemaid approached the terrace and announced, "Dinner is ready... My Lord...Miss!" she said and left quietly.
The trio rose to their feet and entered the house going to the dining room area.
They settled at the dining table and ate their supper in comfortable silence.
One hour later, they finished eating dinner and went upstairs.
Laura looked at Graven. "Do you have some books? I want to read before going to sleep," she said.
"Yeah, I have some books in the study room. The books were left by the previous owner of this house," he replied. "Follow me!"
The women followed Graven into the study room.
Inside the room.
Wow! There are two bookshelves filled with books of all types.
Laura inspected the book's title on the bookshelves. Based on her estimation, there are about 150 books inside the study room. She spent the next fifteen minutes perusing the title of the books. She picked up two books that she finds interesting to read. "I have finally chosen two books that I want to read!" she said. She looked at Graven. Thanks for this!" she told him.
"If you like it. You can have it. Since no one is reading the books here, it's yours from now on," he offered.
Laura's eyes twinkled in delight. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah!" he replied. "It's just gathering dust around here - you might as well enjoy it and bring it home with you!" he said. "If you like, I can send all these books to my father's mansion so that you can read them all," he offered.
"Wow! You're so nice, brother-in-law! Thank you in advance!" Laura said in a grateful voice.
"Don't mention it," he said.
"I'm going back to my room," Laura said merrily and left the couple in the study room.
After reaching her room, Laura went to the bathroom to have a quick bath.
Twenty minutes later.
She exited the bathroom wearing her pajama. She picked up the hairbrush and starts combing her hair while looking outside the window of her room.
Outside, there was darkness everywhere. The lights in the house are not enough to expel the darkness.
Laura was looking for the fireflies that gathered in the air in front of the terrace, sad, she can no longer find them. Where are they? She wants to see them again! Those fireflies brought a happy smile to her face.
Two hours went by.
Laura sat on the bed, reading a book in her lap while waiting for Rebecca to come to her room.
It was already 9:00 in the evening when Rebecca came knocking at the door. She was already wearing her sleeping attire.
"I'm here!" Rebecca announced enthusiastically.
Laura rose from the bed and opened the door. "Come in!" she said in a cheerful voice. She looked at the mirror that Rebecca was holding in her hands.
"I brought a mirror!" Rebecca said. She entered the room in high spirits.
"Just put the mirror on the table," Laura instructed.
Rebecca sauntered to the table and put down the mirror. "Here you are! Let me uncover your mystery tonight," she murmured, smiling at her reflection in the mirror.
She went to bed and sat beside Laura. "Are you sleepy now?" she asked.
Laura shook her head. "Not yet. I'm reading a book. Do you want to read one?" she offered.
Rebecca's eyes lighted up. "Sure!"
Laura rose to her feet and handed her a book titled: The Great Gatsby.
Rebecca accepted the book and flipped on the pages. "What are you reading? What is the title of the book?" she asked.
Laura showed her the book. "Here's the title~The Scarlet Letter," she answered.
"Nice!" Rebecca murmured. She began reading the book, trying to imitate Laura reading her book seriously.
A moment later.
Laura noticed that her companion wasn't really reading the book, just flipping the pages. She looked at her. "You don't like the story?" she asked.
Rebecca smiled and closed the book. "I can't read. I don't know how to read. The demon clans are not literate beings. As you know, we are not like humans who need to go to school and learn things," she grinned.
Laura laughed. "Ah, okay. If you're willing - I can teach you how to write and read. As long you're eager to learn and get yourself familiarize with the alphabet letters. Sooner or later, you will know how to read and write, which is easy as 123!" she offered excitedly.
Rebecca's eyes simmered in amusement. "That would be nice!"
"Do you want to learn?" Laura asked her earnestly.
"Yessss! I love to learn! If I can learn the alphabet, I'll be the first demon of its kind in this world who knows how to write and read just like humans! But I'm hard to teach!" Rebecca exclaimed and groaned.
"Don't worry, I'm a considerate teacher!" Laura smiled, loving the eagerness flashing on the woman's face.
Rebecca handed back the book to Laura and left the bed.
She went to the table where the mirror was located and stared at her reflection. She made a goofy expression while looking at herself in the mirror. "Which do you prefer, sleeping with the light on or off?" she asked.
"Ever since that mysterious spirit appeared in my life - I always sleep with the lights on in my bedroom," Laura replied.
"Ah, okay, I understand," Rebecca said.
Laura resumed reading the book.
While Rebecca was having fun making goofy faces in front of the mirror.
Several times, Laura glanced at Rebecca and witnessed her funny antics in front of the mirror and smiled with amusement.
A few moments later.
Getting tired of messing around with the mirror, Rebecca stood up and went to the window. She watched the surrounding of the house and looked beyond.
Two hours have passed.
Laura yawned, getting sleepy. She put the book on the bedside table and looked at Rebecca standing beside the window, still staring outside. "I'm getting sleepy. Aren't you going to sleep yet?" she asked her.
Rebecca looked over her shoulder. "I'm not sleepy yet. Go ahead, sleep well. Good night!" she said with a smile.
"Good night, Rebecca!" Laura said and lay her body down on the bed. She reached for the blanket and wrapped it around her body. She looked at Rebecca one last time before she closes her eyes to sleep.
Rebecca remained standing near the window, gazing at the shining stars above.
One hour later.
The clock on the wall strikes at midnight.
Rebecca left the window without closing it. She went to bed and settled herself comfortably beside Laura.
She stared at the ceiling for a long time. The fluorescent light was shining brightly. She glanced at the mirror, then at the window, back to back. She needs to be on alert mode.
She has no plans to close her eyes tonight, wanting to see Laura's mysterious admirer with her own eyes and uncover its identity.
One hour went by.
The hands of time strikes at 1:00 am.
Still... there's no sign of Laura's mysterious admirer coming out of the mirror.
Rebecca is getting sleepy, but she fought the sleepiness fiercely and forced her eyes to stay wide awake. No! She can't fall asleep tonight!
She rose from the bed and went inside the bathroom to splash water on her face. The water will help her eyes awake for another hour.
A few minutes later, she exited the bathroom and went to bed again.
She reached for the extra blanket and wrapped it around her body. She stared at the ceiling, then at the window, and finally back at the mirror.
Another hour passed.
Rebecca's eyelids were dropping fast. She opened them again quickly before sleep can take over her senses. She looked in the mirror and saw nothing!
Sighing, she stared at the window for a few minutes...then gradually her eyelids began dropping again...until she finally succumbs to slumber.
A few minutes later.
The light suddenly went out for a few minutes, then the light returned.
A guy wearing dark clothing was standing at the foot of the bed, watching the faces of the two women sleeping soundly in the bed.
The mysterious guy was staring at Laura's face for a long time with a deep longing in his eyes.
He opened his right hand - a single rose appeared in his palm. He walked towards Laura's side and placed the single rose on the bedside table above the book.
He stared continuously at Laura's lovely face for a few minutes.
And when Rebecca stirred in her sleep, the mysterious guy disappeared instantly from the room.

Laura died when she was a baby. Out of desperation, her parents agreed on a deal with the mysterious couple to bring her back to life. Her family left their village and hide in a far away place... with no intention of honoring the deal.

Twenty years later.

Mysterious black hooded cape men descended into their mansion. They hurt her father and abducted her sister, claiming that they're fulfilling the deal that took place a long time ago. Her sister can only be returned to her family ten days later, in one condition, she won't leave their town.

To protect Laura, her father entered another deal to marry her to the most notorious womanizing bachelor in the next town. The groom was the son of a powerful family, he has a questionable attitude and lacking in the looks department. Then she met the 'other' brother. He's handsome as hell and mysterious in so many ways, her heart beats crazily for him. And yet... he turns out to be something not human.

Her peaceful life descended into chaos, and so the story begins.

"Mr. Alexander, if you ever try to-"
"Yes, you don't need to threaten me, Miss Wisteria. I know the things that I should do." Alex replied lazily as he let out a yawn. He then placed his hands on his hips as a small smile appeared on his face. 
 "Hmm… now that I can see it, my bladder is actually full. Excuse me for a second Wisteria. I just have to use the comfort room. Just… bring me to the students after that."
 "Comfort room? Do you even need to use that?"
"My bladder needs to be refreshed, so you cannot stop me.' Alex replied as he started walking away from Wisteria. The direction where he's heading shows that he's directly headed to the comfort room.
"…What a sleazy person. If it weren't for my paid debts, I would not have stayed with you here." Wisteria muttered to herself as she saw Alex entering the comfort room. Her eyes were narrowed as she watched the closing of the door, taking note of every single thing that happened around that room.
She appeared to be suppressing her feelings of discomfort and suspicion against Alex, although it can be seen that she still regarded Alex as an untrustworthy person. The next words that that she muttered to herself just proved this point.
 "But remember this, Mr. Alexander. If you ever do something that is too much in my opinion, I will forget about all those debts that you paid for me. I will stop you, even if it's my life that will be on the line!"

"Hoooh…. Okay. Time for plan B-1." After Alex entered the comfort room, he immediately used his power to lock the access to it. He made sure that nothing can enter this room right now, and that it will be only Alex that can stay here.
 He also used his Virtual Esper Body to monitor any surveillances inside the room. Upon seeing that there was only an old camera, which was only focused on the handwash section, Alex cracked his knuckles as he waved his hands.
"Okay… so there's no surveillance that can catch what I will do next. I must do this quick, so that everything will work out."
 Alex's hand wave allowed him to access his Storage, which had been waiting to be used by him since earlier.
At the moment that he established the connection, Alex did not waste his time as he pulled out three objects out from his Storage.
He then quickly closed his connection to his Storage, leaving nothing but only small ripples on the space around him.
"Good. These three objects are still in working condition. This means that I can make things work as long as I time it right…" Alex muttered to himself as he stared at the three object on his hands.
Each one of these objects were small in size, although there was something about their appearances that can make anyone who sees them regard them with importance.
A pincushion filled with needles, a small circular mirror, and a blank sheet of paper were the three objects that Alex is holding right now, and he was holding them with such care that it appeared as if he was treating them as precious treasures.
After observing the three objects for a few seconds, Alex took a small breath as he hid the pincushion right inside his breast pocket, while the sheet of paper was folded and tucked in the right pocket of his pants.
As for the mirror, Alex continued his gentle hold on it.
 "…Out of all the lifespan that I gained from the last mission, these three things were the ones that I quickly bought." Alex thought to himself as he began to tighten his grip on the mirror. "I could have bought more stuff, but when I looked at these three, I know that they are the ones that I should buy. It's a good thing that I followed my instincts, as this mirror is the one that will salvage my situation…"
"Crack!" 

 Alex's grip on the mirror became so tight that the mirror itself started to show cracks on its smooth surface.
 Alex's face, which was displayed flawlessly on the mirror's surface, began to appear segmented as the cracks on the mirror's surface widened.
 "…" In face of this, Alex did not falter as he continued to strengthen his grip on the mirror.
Eventually, the mirror was unable to resist Alex's grip anymore.
"Shatter!"
The mirror, which was in a perfect circular shape earlier, has now shattered into five separate pieces. Each of these pieces had different shapes and sizes compared to each other, something that is typical from any shattered mirror.
The only thing that was different here was the fact that the mirror pieces began to glow after the mirror shattered.
"Hong~"
Red, blue, black, gold, and white were the colors of the glow that came from the mirror pieces, with each color prevalent on each piece. The glow that came from these pieces were so bright that it appeared as if a miniature sun has materialized inside the room.
If it weren't for the preventive measures that Alex did earlier, the glow from these mirror pieces could have left out of the room, which might make the people outside suspicious. 
As he stared at this kaleidoscopic display of colors, Alex took a deep breath as he pulled the mirror pieces closer to him. There was only pure resolve in his eyes as he began to open his mouth.
He continued to pull the mirror pieces closer at this point, with his hands now headed towards his mouth.
Anyone who sees what Alex was doing will clearly realize what he was planning to do, as his mouth just continued to open as the mirror pieces approached his lips.
"Hoooh… here we go then…. Thanks for the food!"
Alex then jammed the mirror pieces right inside his mouth, packing every single piece of them without leaving anything outside.
"Crunch…"

 Crunching sounds filled the room as Alex began to chew, with his face exuding a nonchalant aura.. His eyes however were moving erratically with his every chew, making anyone who sees it wince.
Alex clearly was in pain as he chewed the mirror fragments, and from the looks of it, there's nothing that he can do to avoid it.
"Hmm…mgngh… hmm…mghr." These were the only sounds that Alex made with his preoccupied mouth. Each of these sounds appeared to have a message of their own, as a slight pattern can be observed on these sounds. But as for what these sounds could mean, there is just nobody that can understand it.

5 MINUTES LATER
"5 minutes have already passed by, and yet Alexander is still not out of the room? Is he… doing something suspicious again?" Wisteria, who had spent the last 300 seconds pacing nervously around her spot, thought to herself as she glanced warily as the door of the comfort room.
 The wariness that she was feeling against Alex earlier has now intensified, especially now that Alex secluded himself inside the comfort room.
 There's just no way that Alex is just urinating inside the room. 5 minutes is just too long for that.
 And besides, someone as powerful as Alex can just use his power to stop his metabolism from working. Why would he still need to pee, when he can just use his power to regulate his water cleansing?
"Okay, that's it. I'm opening the door to the comfort room already." Seeing that there's still no signs of movement from inside the comfort room, Wisteria let out a disgruntled sigh as she quickly walked towards the door of the comfort room.
She then stretched her hand towards the handle of the door knob, as she decided to just open the door.
But before her hands can even touch the door knob's metal surface, the door suddenly opened, leaving Wisteria hanging in her outstretched pose.
 "…."
"…"
 "Is there a problem, Miss Wisteria?" In front of the surprised Wisteria, she saw Alex who had just opened the door.
This sudden appearance by Alex left Wisteria at loss for words, as she realized that she had been caught by him doing something 'suspicious'.
"Oh… I was just worried for you. After all, you took a long time in there…" Wisteria hastily replied as she scratched the back of her head. She tried to put up the most sheepish smile on her face as she talked to Alex, hoping that it might throw him off the loop. "Well, I can see now that you are fine. I am relieved by that."
"Okay. Now get out of the way. I want to leave already." Alex curtly said as he pushed Wisteria out of the way. He then stared back at Wisteria as he gave her a cold look. "Now, bring me to your students. I don't like to wait anymore."
"Oh right… just follow me." Wisteria, who was preparing herself to talk against a sly and cheerful Alex, was floored once more as she realized that Alex was treating her in a colder manner right now.
This is something that made Wisteria feel out of place, as the felt that something was wrong with the 'Alex' that she is talking with right now.
"Hm?"

 This suspicion of hers just grew as she observed Alex's current appearance.
Alex still had the same handsome look on his face, although his attire and facial expressions had changed drastically.
His previously light and casual uniform was now replaced by an all-black wardrobe.
Alex was now wearing a black, leather jacket paired with a dark undershirt and an ebony scarf. His caramel-colored pants were replaced by a tight, black slacks with his black shoes appearing much darker compared to before.
Alex was also wearing a pair of black bangles on his arms, which was complemented by the black earrings that hung on his ears.
This set-up was topped off by Alex's black hat, which fit snugly on top of his head.
Alex's sly and sleazy face from earlier was non-existent at this point, as Wisteria could only see a cold demeanor on his face.
There was no more warmth that is emanating out of the current Alex, which made Wisteria almost back away from him.
"What the hell? Alexander just stayed inside the comfort room for a few minutes, and now he became like this? It's like… he became a changed person!" Wisteria exclaimed to herself as she did her best to stay calm.
Her previous assumptions about Alex were all shattered again, as the current Alex was someone who just threw Wisteria's thoughts back to the gutter.
"What the hell…. The Alexander that I am looking at right now looks like he can kill me without any remorse. That's something… that only a monster can do! How… how can Alexander suddenly be like this?"
While Wisteria was having these thoughts in her mind, she was also gathering her power inside her body, just in case that something wrong happens here.
She just cannot feel safe with the way that Alex is looking right now, and the longer that she stays with him, the more that she feels more unsettled by him.
"Wisteria. Stop moving like this. The Abyss is getting irritated by your slow movements." Out of nowhere, Alex suddenly said these words to Wisteria. "If you continue wasting my time like this, the Abyss will be your enemy."
"What in the world… are you saying, Mr. Alexander?" Wisteria replied with a hitch on her tone as she gave Alex a blank look. "What is this Abyss, and why are you talking like you know it?"
"…You are not fit to know that. Just understand that if you don't follow my demands, the Abyss will seek you out and punish you." Alex replied, keeping the same cold tone that he had since earlier. "If you don't want to face the Abyss' divine punishment, then you better listen to me."
"…"


After all the things that he had done in his life, Alex realized that it was already his time to die. 

But a sudden encounter with a weird person will turn his whole life around.

The formerly about-to-die teen shall now be a Traveler of different worlds!



"You are an Esper? Then come and taste my saber!"
"You are a Daoist? Then come and taste my fist!"
"You are a Genie? Well, can you grant me infinite wishes?"

Marcus opened his eyes to see himself in a mirror that covered the entire wall in front of him. Through the mirror, he could see the room behind him was filled with nothing but grey, smoothstone walls with no ceiling.
He turned to look up at the sky of the strange room, but the only thing Marcus's eyes met was a blindingly bright light. He quickly averted his gaze back to the lower half of the room and started moving closer to the different sections, looking for some kind of way out.
Each corner and surface gave the same result; absolutely nothing. Somehow he had entered a room with no doors, no windows, or even a crack that signified some kind of way through. He quickly deemed the place an impossible box that was now his prison.
Marcus didn't know how long he was trapped in the small space, but it was long enough to give him some rising anxiety and irritation with the silence. It wasn't until the silence was broken, did he realize he was no longer alone.
"How are you this evening?" Said a deep voice in a formally polite tone.
Marcus jumped at the sound of someone else appearing and looked around the room for a source. Despite the man's voice being almost right next to ear, there wasn't anyone there. 
He backed up against the mirror and kept scanning the room, searching for this strange cause. Marcus was starting to think he was just imagining the voice. 
"Behind you actually, you're not the first to be confused by this."
He turned back to the mirror and suddenly the voice had a body. A seven-foot-tall man wearing an all black suit and tie loomed over his reflection. Marcus wanted to get a look at the much taller man's face, yet something made him somewhat fearful of his description, like he shouldn't try to memorize his face.
Marcus whipped his head back to see where the man was standing inside the room, yet there was nothing but the white space behind him.
"I am aware, the set up of this place is a bit strange. Try not to think about it too much and let's begin."
"I-uh, okay . . . but where exactly is this place and what's going on? What are we starting?" Marcus asked while suddenly having a hard time working his tongue. The whole situation he found himself in was rather unsettling.
The man didn't respond, he just tilted his head and gave Marcus's reflection a once over. He circled around Marcus, showing off how he was over a foot taller than him, his dress shoes clacking against the stone while his eyes were glancing back and forth rapidly. Yet Marcus could only watch from the other side of the mirror, not truly seeing the tall man who walked around him.
"Hmm, so you're one of the few who arrive calmly, yet they never remember why they are here." He turned away and sat down on a white chair that just materialized itself out of nowhere. 
Marcus looked back and didn't see a chair emerge behind him, further confusing his thoughts on what this place was. He wanted some answers as to what was going on, but the strangely tall man was not interested in filling him in on the situation.
"Can you please at least tell me where I am?"
"Alright." The Mirror man clapped his hands together and a sheet of paper appeared in his hands. In a single breath, he began reading off the information at his fingers.
"Marcus H. Simmons, age forty-eight; born in [REDACTED], raised by [REDACTED]; Married once to a Mrs. Sarah P. Simmons for nine years, and no children to show for it." 
Marcus felt his heart sank at the reminder of his late wife and that quickly brought his patience to an end. This stranger may have sounded formal in tone, but he was just blatantly bringing up his personal life with little care as to explain what was going one.
"I'd appreciate it if you could start answering my questions, and explaining why you are talking about me like you're going through some odd interview."
Once again, the mirror man ignored his questions, talking at him with no change to his tone. "So I can assume this is you? I do like to double check my cases before I end up sending them elsewhere."
"Just where the hell am I!" Marcus was now raising his voice at the man behind the mirror, debating if he should just throw a fist through it. He was tired of this odd game the Mirror man was playing.
Before Marcus could even wind up the punch, the Mirror man's face changed. For an instant, it didn't seem right, like a strange distortion. He quickly looked straight at Marcus and dropped the paper. It disappeared before touching the ground. 
He then stood up from the chair on his side of the mirror and walked right up to Marcus from behind. The chair vanished in a blink as well, leaving the mirror man and Marcus alone once again.
The reaction speed was so fast, Marcus almost fell backwards, but then he notices a cold presence of the man was somehow behind him. A small thought then went through his head.
'I can't touch him, but he can touch me.'
Just when Marcus thought he was gonna die for his blunder, the Mirror man stood back and inspected his reflection once again. After another circle around him, the Mirror man spoke directly to Marcus for the first time.
"Were you afraid? Scared of what I might have just done to you just now?"
" . . . yes, you startled me." Marcus admitted while trying to fight the urge to look away at the man's face. It seemed to be in vain as the intensity of the man's presence was only making it harder to focus on his features.
"I don't know why you'd be so concerned," He commented while taking a step back, "you can't die twice."

Marcus woke up in a strange room that seemed to defy the laws of reality. Inside, he met a well dressed man in a mirror that gave him a second chance in not only life, but to find his late wife as well. The only catch was getting thrown in a new world of magic, predators, murders, and a body that seems a little too inhuman. Read along in hope that Marcus can survive long enough to find his lost soulmate, before his his new name and title as the Great Abomination makes it impossible to find her.
