200 years ago man created the greatest AI known but this Machine eventually grew a mind of its own and evetually it's own body, it rose up with others like it against the human race this battle went on for about 20 years and nature and most resources were dieing off cause of the continuing battles but the final battle it released a large blast but is wasn't a bomb it was something else entirely, the machines had something hidden down their main base, something that wasn't human or machine something not of this earth, the blast brought back nature it changed it along with the humans and Machines closes to the blast.....both of them went a evolution of some sorts and because of this both sides where able to form a peace ending the war



Lia Giles became a border guard and mechanic for the power lines on the in between of the main city and the unearthly forests, no longer being able to stand living in the high technology world where humans are treated like second class citizens. On one of her patrols she discovers something or more like someone that no one has ever seen before.

When Six-Winged was summoned by Zhou Wen. Its huge body stood on the cube, but it wasn't too obvious. However, its claws were a little too big. Its claws covered the tiny circle completely when pressed against it. As it was several times bigger than the circle, Zhou Wen didn't know if this would work.
"I'll give it a try." Zhou Wen was very careful. He didn't let the six-winged dragon immediately attempt it. He only made it stand there and left. He returned to the top of the building beside him before letting the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon inject its Essence Energy into the circle.
If anything were to happen, he could immediately retrieve the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon and escape.
Although he felt that it was unlikely that The Thearch would harm him, he still had to be careful.
The Six-Winged Guardian Dragon followed Zhou Wen's orders and pressed its paw on the circle, injecting its Essence Energy into it.
Although Zhou Wen was mentally prepared, he was still alarmed the moment the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon injected Essence Energy.
The entire black cube instantly lit up, illuminating the surroundings. Zhou Wen was alarmed. He wanted to retrieve the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon, but he realized that the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon seemed to have been sucked into the black cube, preventing him from retrieving it.

"I already said that it's not my Companion Beast." Zhou Wen was slightly taken aback when he heard that. He sent a message to The Thearch before taking out his mysterious phone to check the information on the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon.
With a single glance, he discovered that the information on the Six-Winged Guardian Dragon had indeed undergone a huge change. He took a closer look at the data and was pleasantly surprised.

Lumas was shocked, he had Loki update his status but there was a new section 'Bonded' as he looked at the paper holding his status his eyes traveled upwards to 'Embodiement of Magic: The user is the definition of magic and such the very definition of Magic is in the users grasp' 

He couldnt help but think he changed the very definition of Magic in his flurry of emotions, Lumas slowly sank into thought while Loki's headache only worsened as she continuously looked over the sheet of paper before releasing a heavy sigh while holding it over a candle which Lumas lit with his 'Genesis Flames' which have changed since he challenged(?) Ouranos… The once ruthless and threatening Greenish-Black flames now held a sort of warm and caring Orangish-Red brilliance, they seemed to hold a balance where neither were overpowering the other… the mana cost went up expentionally but Lumas has yet to reach the bottom of that ocean…

The reason for lighting this candle was that Lumas could 'connect' with it and was able to mold it forming words, this way as long as his magic was still able to reach out he would always be in contact with the rather mischievous goddess, as for Sebastian's level reset he didn't know what the cause was maybe it was the price for his sacrifice when he returned the 'Will' he 'borrowed' from Lumas.. However despite his Level being reset he retained all his skills however they were reset to I-Rank, it was kinda funny when it happened due to the drop in rank of 'Item-Box' the space shrunk giving everything it couldn't hold into the 'real world' 

There were many things many of which were ancient looking books, weapons, clothes, piles of gold, gems, and various other treasures taller than Sebas… when he saw all these things 'fall' out he quickly began hoarding them into his room shooting a glare at any who dared to approach his treasure, Susan broke out in laughter going on and on about how he's an old dragon through and through… Lumas felt like he needed his own pile of treasure bigger than anyone has seen before, he wanted to lay upon his mountain of treasure in pure bliss 

Shaking the thoughts from his head Lumas turned his attention to the elf sitting at the table occasionally fiddling with her finger sneaking glances at both Ais and Lumas, Ais… lectured him when she saw him cuddling the poor elf letting him know he is only allowed to hug her, She didn't even speak to him for a whole day! They even slept in different rooms. Ais was upset, and the thing is she didn't know what exactly she was upset about; she knew it was about Lumas and the elf but a hug… a prolonged… a very prolonged hug is harmless right?

The elf, Lefiya was the disciple of Riveria she had golden blonde hair similar to Ais however Lefiya's had a tint of orange in it with blue eyes to contrast she had a rather lithe figure that's common with elves however, she had certain aspects that most if not all other elves lack… Lumas was shocked who blessed this elf? This body was fit for a god-like Amazon although it definitely fit an Elf's body structure… Her ears were even slightly rounded near the tip

Lumas felt a glare to his side realizing he was staring his eyes went to meet the floor however something within him refused, forcing him to lift his head tall, Lumas then looked to the side to see Ais pouting and a tinge of guilt rose in his chest he saw Susan slightly behind Ais with a small frown seemingly upset until a heavy adorable pout marred her face as she muttered

"Everyone but me…" her shoulders slumped Lumas didn't catches what she muttered but he knew she was slightly depressed, with a sense of softness falling onto his face he spoke "Susan would you like to join Ais and I in the room tonight?" Susan's eyes went wide as the table choked on the food they were eating, Riveria was violently clutching her staff, Finn was trying not to choke on food, Gareth tried to avoid wasting his Gin via spit take, Tione and Tiona both expectingly looked at Susan, Bete growled under his breat, and it was apparently time for bed for Lefiya

Lumas snapped his head towards Bete and growled "Speak dog! Got something to say?! Or cats got your tongue" the room went deathly silent as Bete muttered under his breath Lumas grinned slightly "What was that dog? I couldn't hear you over the sound of flies swarming the bullshit spewing from your mouth"

Bete shot to his feet with a line of blood trailing down his lip "YOUR COURTING DEATH" Lumas choked back laughter but couldn't hold it as he began to beat the table with his fist in a bout of loud laughter, tears pooled in his eyes as his stomach began to hurt as he attempted to catch his breath he spoke "That… that was a good one *whew*" finishing his words by wiping his forehead he stood up manifesting his sheathed sword to his hand

"Let's spar then dog, If you will I'll do 3 commands from you… however if I win…" Lumas slightly laughed "You'll become my personal supporters during the expedition"

Bete grit his teeth, he looked towards Susan "Your her lord right?" Lumas' eyes narrowed as he nodded his grip on the hilt tightening slightly as the familiar sound of a sword crawling from its sheath beat back the silence "You will remove her from her post, freeing her allowing her heart to be hers!"

Susan's eyes instantly pooled with tears as she kneeled in front of Lumas begging him to not listen to the stupid mutt, about how she loves to serve him and if that is taken from her she will rip her heart out with her bare hands, tears marred her face as heavy sobs left her throat 

Lumas looked up his eyes were raging, his blood began to shine in his veins as Magic pooled around him affecting his mentality the dark Magic whispered tempting thoughts into his ears as he mindlessly pulled the sword from the sheath, his heart was throbbing in pain every beat sent scalding heat through his body 

The room was silent, there was no pressure, no killing intent, no bloodlust, it was calm only the light wind form the mana flooding the room, the elf's present dedicated this sight to memory as the watched the turbulent mana swirl around Lumas 

In the time it takes to blink Lumas' sword arm burst into a clam flame trailing up his arm wisping(?) off his shoulder, Lumas looked up with his eyes closed his mid back length hair dancing in the wind "I call upon the beginning, when all was none, when the existence was nonexistent, I call upon the forbidden, the broken, the corrupted… The Flame Of The Beginning"

Deathly silence filled the word as change began happening everywhere, the ground began to rumble, the skies lit up in a greenish-black light, time seemed to flow in reverse as wildlife claimed the world trees grew through building, mana became thick and more potent, somewhere far off into the distance in a forest full of life force a budding tree shot into the sky blanketing the forest in a light shade, the trees leaves grew golden veins as a green flame drew a circle around the tree 

However all this was simply an anomaly, an unexplainable phenomenon with only a connection to the power released by Lumas… something the realm was starved of by the war of the gods… Lumas slowly drew an arc with his sword stopping only when a line of blood leaked from Bete's neck

"Concede" Bete was stiff his legs were trembling his tail tucked between his legs barely managing to get a single utterance past his lips "I-I concede" his voice was low nearly unheard but Lumas let it go, once again his mentality was affected needing a breath of fresh air he went outside only for his eyes to widen at the sight

Suddenly, Eevie heard the pitter-patter of footsteps. 
She turned to the sound and saw a small shadowy silhouette moving on an elevated platform before her. 
She assumed correctly that it was the stage. The shadow moved around until it found its intended spot and just stopped. 
Eevie waited a beat or two for something to happen but everything was still. 
Emily had sat not a word since she shuffled onto stage so Eevie couldn't help but wonder what kind of performance she would be giving.
Then, she heard a scratching sound like paper rubbing upon paper. 
A flicker of flame appeared on stage before the 'performance' started in earnest. 
Following an ear-splitting scream, the stage lit up in a ball of fire. 
The flames lit up the hall like it was daylight and Eevie could finally see clearly what was happening.
 On stage, a small figure was wreathed in a violent ball of fire. However, for some curious reasons, the fire was contained with a small spot where the figure stood, it appeared like it was unable to spread. 
Perhaps angered by this limitation on its nature, the flame turned to punish its burning victim. 
Every inch of the small figure's body was touched by flame, from the top of its head to the small of its feet. It looked like the person was being seared alive, or at least, it certainly sounded like that was happening. 
However, it felt beautiful how sometimes, the worst tragedy can inspire the most beautiful artistic creation. This was the very definition of living art. The flames danced like they were an extension of the little girl's body. 
The flickering tendrils of the flame danced and twirled like fiery sprites frolicking in the sun. The screams of anguish that hadn't ceased added curiously to overall artistic nature of the "performance". The contrast of pain and art was awe-inspiring to say the least. 
Eevie felt a twinge of guilt for appreciating the performance considering the pain little Emily was in but the artistic talent could not be denied. Furthermore, Eevie had not forgotten this was at the end of the day, only a figment of one's imagination. Everything was as real or as fake as the dreamer wanted it to be. 
Then Eevie did something that was at the same time appropriate and inappropriate considering the unconventional performance. Even though she was the sole spectator in the large hall, she proceeded to give Emily a standing ovation. 
The gesture came as much as a surprise to Emily as well because the screaming had suddenly stopped. Even the crackling of fire had ceased. It appeared like the performance was frozen in time.

Christen was waiting outside the cabin, leaning against the wall—his arms crossed. I walked past him without even a glance his way. He followed and stepped up to my side with ease. Infact, his long strides made it difficult for me to keep up with him. I increased my pace a little, hooking my thumbs in the belt loops. 
"Rule one— Don't kill any innocent except in case of self-defense .", I stated, throwing the keys towards him. He caught it with graceful ease. These words were like a fine line between who I was and what I could become. These were a reminder that there was something, however little it might be, good in me. 
"Why? ", he lifted a brow. 
I shrugged, and turned towards a left corridor, " It is how Lucas wants it. He wants only the criminals roaming unpunished to suffer.", I gave him a sidelong glance. "But the question you should have asked was 'What do you mean by innocent?'"  
Because our definition of innocent was a little different. And life, as it was now, I could hardly see any innocent or someone who would fit in its universal definition. So, we need to be careful in whom to kill or spare. 
He snorted, " I don't know about you...", he glanced at me for emphasis, "... but usually at this age everyone is well aware about 'what does innocent mean'.", he lifted his both hands—making a gesture for inverted commas at the last four words. 
I rolled my eyes," Two years back, a person looted the banks of millions of dollars—hacked the accounts basically. So, does he fit in your definition of innocent?", I asked as I pushed open the door to the library. 
Almost the whole ground floor was occupied by this library. It was like a massive wheel, shelves carved out of the walls itself which then spiralled inwards. 
Some shelves curved inwards to make small compartments —which had comfortable leather arm chairs and tables to read in hushed, undisturbed setting. 
There were stairs to reach the upper shelves with reading areas jutting out from the walls like little balconies. I went to one of the shelves and trailed my finger over the books. The floor was shiny black and so smooth I could see my reflection in it. Christen rotated slowly, marveling at the beauty —looking around at the shelves, at the books and at the tables. 
"This is the Keep's library as you can see. You will find almost every kind of book over here. " 
Christen picked up a book from the dark, oak table near him and opened its first page. He nodded, skimming through the pages, " No. He doesn't fit... I mean in the definition of innocent that is." 
"Indeed.", I gave him a knowing smile. It was an expected answer. "But when we looked into the matter, we found out a pattern in all the accounts he had looted. They were all criminals. They didn't report the robbery to the police because they were afraid they might themselves get caught in the process. So one of those criminals came to us to kill that hacker. ", I paused a little." So what do you think now? " I slid my hands into my pockets and fixed my gaze on him. 
He kept the book down and leaned against the shelves." Still not innocent.", he shrugged a shoulder. 
I snorted," Expected. We are not the police. Our definition of innocent is different. We didn't kill him, infact we offered him to join us. He wasn't innocent but his intentions weren't wrong. " 
I approached him and held his gaze as I said, " And..... I knew the definition of innocent even long before anyone my age would have learned to pronounce it.", I let power drop in my voice. 
It was true. Not because I came here when I was ten and I learned a lot of things early and the hard way. Maybe that also. But because my father was.... he was incredibly intelligent, even that was an understatement and he taught me alot at a young age. I didn't know back then, he would leave me so early. My throat suddenly felt tight. 
He watched me a moment longer and I wondered if he had noticed my change in mood, before saying, " Where do you all learn? Do you guys go to school or something?", he swirled the keys in his forefinger. It didn't feel like he wanted to insult us but instead a genuine, curious question. 
I nodded, "Yes, we go to schools or have private tutors—it's our choice. I preferred private tutors.", I moved towards the door to show him some other important places. "If someone wants to study further, it can also be arranged. But our job is the first priority."  
"How do you guys stay hidden and safe?" his voice held a little touch of curiosity. 
I looked over my shoulder and smirked, "What makes you think I will tell you that?" 
He curled his fingers around the keys, a little too tight to be casual and crossed his arms—his biceps bulging beneath his tight-fitted, black jacket, giving me a cold, hard look. "Because I am one of the assassins now.", he raised an eyebrow. 
"Temporarily.", I crooned, turning fully towards him. My mouth flashed with a wicked smile. He wouldn't be a member here until his first kill, if he manages to do it, that is. 
He sauntered towards me, he came close enough that I had to tilt my head up to look at him. His eyes were lit with amusement, the blue in them looking more bright. He leaned in until we shared our breaths or would have if I hadn't been holding my breath. I curled my hands into loose fists if only to hide the slight shaking of my fingers which was impractical — I wasn't afraid and I was sure of that. 
"I am not in a habit of losing anything. Quite the contrary infact.", his voice was low—deep, every word crisp clear. He shoved me with his arm as he strode past me towards the door. Only years of training kept my balance from faltering. Prick! 
Let him find his way alone! Not in a habit of losing, is he? My lips split in a cruel, wicked smile. Let's see. 
"She could be annoying at times.", James voice filled the hallway. When I reached the end of the corridor, I saw him talking to Christen. He had a half smile on his face. 
"Who could be annoying James?", I asked, arching a brow. 
" You. Who else.", James grinned. My mouth almost dropped open. Almost. 
Huh, how dare he say that? 
Christen's face broke into a grin at that. 
"I will show you precisely how annoying I can be—later.", I gave him what was supposed to be my most dazzling smile though my eyes promised a death sentence. 
James only gave me a wink. Christen lifted his brows at us. 
Oh.... oh. Did it look like something else to Christen? Anyways why do I care?, I strode towards the lift, ignoring both the guys. 
"By the way, your room is across from Andrea, on the second floor.", James said to Christen. I could feel the frown in his voice, he knew I didn't let anyone have a room near mine. 
"Why near her? Is this some kind of a test of my patience level or something ?", I could hear the laughter tinging his voice. 
Christen Salvatore, if this is a test— I will make sure you fail. 
"All the best dude.", James laughed. Laughed? I resisted the urge to throw my sneakers at his face. He should be on my side. 
You traitor! Just you see James. 
Just when the elevator door was about to close, Christen lodged his foot in and stepped inside. The door closed behind him. 
I leaned against the elevator wall, arms crossed and ignored his presence. I didn't need to give him more attention than necessary. 
He leaned beside me against the wall and asked looking straight ahead, "Have you ever killed an innocent?" 
"No." I replied without even a thought. 
No, I haven't. Did he think of me as someone who would? Okay. I am an assassin at the age of eighteen only, what else should he think of me? 
He dragged his eyes to mine, " I could kill you and I wouldn't be breaking any rules." He said it matter-of-factly but.... to me it looked like a threat. 
I leaned my head back with a lazy attitude, hooking my thumbs in the belt loop as I smirked, letting the dangerous tone flash in my voice, "You could surely try." 
He scanned me over from head to toes, a calculated look but it sent a shiver up my spine nonetheless. A mischievous gleam danced in his eyes and then he winked. Before I could react, the door opened and he left. 
Later when I found James, I literally chased after him with a shoe in my hand. 
" You traitor! ", I half shouted at him though it didn't contain any real anger. We never really fought. "I am annoying? Annoying?" 
"Hey! I was just joking.", he gave an apologetic glimpse over his shoulder. 
I threw my shoe at him from where I stood twenty feet behind him,"You deserve this!", I shouted, only half serious. 
He moved at the last moment, the shoe just slightly brushing his arm. 
"Okay! Okay! I am sorry.", he lifted his arms in surrender, eyeing the second shoe in my hand with suspicion. 
I gave him a satisfied grin and dropped the shoe, "Good." 
He came rushing to me, enveloping me in a tight hug and said, "You are so annoying." And laughed.

"I know." She said, caressing my cheek. The softest, purest touch I ever felt. 

"A girl is not her face or her etiquettes or her clothes. A girl is her character. A girl is a goddess which can not only handle her family but also has the courage to change the world for the better. She's not just any caged bird but a phoenix, who rises each time after being burnt to ashes." She said as she stood up. Her eyes held determination as her voice held courage. The courage which could have changed the whole world.

"Yes?"

"You are the best." I said, as I hugged her legs. 

"Am I?" She asked laughing, as she lifted me up in her arms. 

"Yes!"

"Let's go. I'll show you something." She said, walking out the kitchen to her and father's room. 

We entered as she turned around to close the door. Opening her cupboard, she pulled the clothes to one side revealing a knob. She turned it as it revealed a dark passage. Putting me down, she picked up the candle which was burning on father's study table, handing it over to me. 

"Walk ahead, Adella." 

"Yes mom." Following her words, I stepped into the dark passage. We walked till we reached a spacious room. Taking the candle from me, my mother lit up the lamps, lighting up the once dark room. 

There was a sword kept in the centre of the room. Mom walked towards it as she lifted it up, removing it's scabbard. The sword was not only beautiful and shiny but also sharp and dangerous. 

"Come here, Adella." She said, as she crouched down. Taking small steps, the little me walked to her. "Read the words inscribed on the sword." 

I looked at the sword to find those three words which I didn't know at that time, will be the basis of my life. 

"Loyal. Brave. True." 

"These are the three qualities of a warrior." Both mom and me turned around, to look at a man standing at the end of the passage. It was none other than my father. 
"It takes three lifetimes to discover these three qualities which are already engraved deep in your soul." 

"Yes father." I said as I turned to him standing straight. My mother stood up as she bowed to him, paying him her respect. "My lord."

They're begging her to form a contract. She is the arrogant Queen almighty! You say that heaven is undefiable? Then she will defy it!
"Bad news, my Lord! The consort has beaten the Empress of the Heavenly Phoenix Nation into a pulp!"
He raised an eyebrow and brimmed of pride, "It's nothing. Send a million troops to back up my beloved consort. Tell them that I'm the one who's pampering her!"

JOSEPHINE's POV

When the assembly finished, the professors told us to line up. They mentioned that the classes will be arranged by the ranking on our entrance exams. Sh*t, I'm stuck with Hernandez.
The first class will be consisting of the students who are ranks from one to forty. At least, I'm still with Yasmin. I wonder how Yusuf is doing with Caleb, though.
Entering the room, I'm glad that we can sit anywhere we want. I sat in the middle beside Yasmin. I don't want to sit on the front nor the back.
Our professor for the first class entered the room. "Good morning class. I'm Ms Abigail Griffin. Welcome to theatre arts. I know that some of you are already theatre actors as I have seen you in some plays but want to understand more the art of theatre. Oh, before you ask, I'm your acting teacher."
She looks pretty but strict. I thought.
"Ms Josephine King?" our professor said.
I raised my hand. "Present."
She slammed the board. She's in her twenties, but she's already a really strict professor.
She walked around the classroom, bringing the class' master list with her. "Ms Josephine King, stand up."
I stood up without hesitation because I'm really eager to become a theatre actor that understands the craft. I was already in plays back in high school but my parents don't allow me to join theatre companies outside the school until now.
"Mr Harper Hernandez, stand up," he stood up as well.
Ms Griffin looked at Hernandez and me alternately before stopping at Hernandez. "From the two of you, can someone tell me what is the definition of acting based on art?"
We raised our hands at the same time but our professor let Harper talk. Tch. "Mr Hernandez, please take those disrespectful hands of yours from your pockets."
He followed the instruction our professor had just told him. "Ms Griffin, there are two definitions of acting according to art. The first one, as a noun, is the art or occupation of performing in plays, movies, or television productions."
He smirked and continued with his answer after pausing for a while, thinking about his answer probably. "While on the other hand, as an adjective, is temporarily doing the duties of another person, synonymous to a substitute."
Our professor smiled at him, satisfied with his answer. "Very well said, Mr Hernandez. You may now take your seat."
She then walked towards me. "Ms King, you have written in your essay that theatre is your passion but you also have a love for psychology," she crossed her arms and stood in front of me like a boss. "So, may I ask you, Ms King, what's the definition of acting in psychology?"
I smiled and stood up properly. "Ms Griffin, in psychology, acting is a part of psychoanalysis which by definition is a set of theories and therapeutic techniques related to the study of the unconscious mind, which together form a method of treatment for mental disorders."
I cleared my throat because it was drying out since I was trying to speak without shaking. "Given the definition of psychoanalysis, the word act in psychology simply means the expressing of repressed or unconscious feeling in overt behaviour."
Our professor then smiled at me. I think she's satisfied, I'm happy about that. "Nicely spoken, Ms King. The professor who was in charge of your interview in the university has been telling me that you're one of the most diligent students when it comes to answering high intelligence questions and I could definitely see that. You may now take your seat."
Upon sitting, I felt someone staring at me so I looked at the direction and saw Hernandez staring at me. For some reason, we understand each other even though we're not speaking verbally.

'You're dead meat if you try to compete with me, Fina.' Harper looked at me with a sharp glare
Don't you dare ever call me Fina, Hernandez. We're not close. I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
Remember that you are the one who destroyed our friendship. He smirked.
Is it my fault that you're such an arrogant douchebag? I raised my eyebrow.

I then felt Yasmin poke me. "Pst. The professor is looking at both of you."
Upon looking at our pretty but strict professor, she had her right eyebrow arched. "Are you done staring at each other, Mr Hernanez and Ms King?"
I felt Hernandez' smile even though I could only see him in my peripheral view and my classmates who are trying to suppress their laughter since we're not acquainted yet. Tch, such an annoying face.
My professor started to explain what we'll be doing today. I was taking notes, being the bored student right now, so I just decided to write what she's stating using stenography. I stopped writing upon hearing my name.
Oh, good Lord.

YASMIN's POV

Our acting professor thought it was a good idea to test our acting skills on day one. She said it was a preparation for the representatives who will be auditioning for the competition next month.
The competition is between the seventeen sections of the theatre majors. We'll be competing with each other for the roles of the play our college will be doing for a high school in the province. If the play will be successful and important men noticed our play, the actors chosen will be performing the play at big universities here in our country and they will be guaranteed a spot in the Theatre Organisation.
And because she felt like it, she decided to use a script from one of Shakespeare's most famous stories.
"I'm going to pick partners and you're going to show me this scene that I'm going to flash on the screen. No pressure, no need to memorise because it's still your first day and the majority of you here are amateurs so it might be overwhelming. I just want to see your talent and skills."
While she was calling out the partners, I was glad but worried when I found out that I'll be with the greatest enemies on earth.

JOSEPHINE's POV

While Hernandez, Yasmin, and I are throwing our lines I felt his stare. I just let it slide because it might be needed for the role.
We went back to our original seats when Ms Griffin's alarm went off. Only three groups will be presenting today, according to her and we're part of those three groups. We'll be the last performers of the day.
I felt terrified with the way she shouted at the first groups.
"You deliver the lines too slowly!"
"You're too emotionless!"
"You're not doing justice to this masterpiece!"
"Your moves are too formulated!"
She sighed. "Harper Hernandez, Yasmin Hernandez, and Josephine King. You're last."
The three of us stood up and sent signals to each other by nodding.
We're on Act 2, Scene 2 wherein the nurse, Romeo, and Juliet are the ones present. We'll be doing original poetry so we really have to move and speak like people from the Elizabethan era.
While preparing for the scene, the class stood quiet. We then acted upon our role.
Hernandez and I looked at each other, without hesitation. He smiled like a teenage boy who fell in love at first sight. "So thrive my soul--"
"A thousand times good night!"
When we finished the scene, we went to the middle, held hands, and bowed. Everyone applauded, including our professor.
She smiled at us. "I certainly didn't expect that kind of performance because according to my observation earlier, Mr Hernandez and Ms King had some bad blood going on. I surely didn't see that in this presentation. You two looked really fond of each other. The delivery of lines, the execution, the actions, even with Ms Hernandez playing the role of the nurse, oh god, the three of you are so fit for the role!"
She stood up. "If you keep this up, I certainly will choose the three of you as part of the representatives of our class. Class dismissed."
While I was arranging my things, Yasmin spoke beside me. "Hey, I'll just be at our usual spot since my next class is still at 3:30 pm. Dramatic lit."
I smiled. "That's my favourite class, no fair that you'll be experiencing it first before me," I stated like a child who is envious because my neighbour got the latest car toy before me. Yasmin and I did our usual long handshake before I continued to speak. "My next class is 1:15 pm, Scenic Design. It's already 12 nn, let's eat lunch?"
"Let's go."
Yasmin and  I looked at the direction where the familiar voice came from. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? Jisung ditched me. He said he'll have lunch with his boyfriend, I don't want to be a third wheel anyway."
I sighed, not happy with how my day is going. "Let's go?"

Leaving their high school life behind, Josephine, Yasmin, and Yusuf move forward to a chapter of their life, college. With their never-ending love for theatre, they decided to go for performing arts.  

This life is messy, it won't be easy. Relationships, career, and their own life might be in danger with the path they're going to take. Will they take another step and enter in the dark world of reality or will they step back and stay in the comfort of a young person?

(EXCERPT 1)

"Mr. Hernandez, what's your problem?" She asked in a very formal way, acting as if she has never crossed paths with him personally and only knew of him because of his outstanding academic and extra-curricular performance.

Harper laughed. "Wait," he put his lips close to her ear. "Sit properly, you're wearing a skirt and you're sitting like a frog," he smirked.

Fina faced him, her eyes showing evident emotions of irritation. With only inches away from his face which also makes them look like they were about to kiss, she spoke. "Mr. Hernandez, we're not children anymore. We don't have the same bond as before so please, know your limits. And for the record, it's not my fault if garbage like you would look at my body that way."

She pushed his face as Yasmin suddenly appeared at the space between Fina and Harper, a wide smile on her face that reached her ears. "Hey love birds, will you stop bickering? The assembly is about to start," Yasmin playfully raised her eyebrows.

Alarmed, Fina and Harper faced Yasmin almost at the same time. "We're not love birds!"

(EXCERPT 2)

Caleb handed Yusuf his helmet and rode his bike. 

Yusuf followed him and hopped on as well and slowly wrapped his arms around Caleb from behind, his face turning crimson red.

"I... like the feeling of this. We should do this more often," Yusuf blushed and smacked Caleb's hand that was holding him. 

Caleb laughed before letting go of Yusuf's hand and started the engine. "Where do you want to go?" He asked.

"Heartlands," Yusuf answered.

Caleb looked back at Yusuf, furrowing his eyebrows. He is confused. Why Heartlands?

"You want to go to the playground. Are we a junior school couple?" Caleb asked, chuckling at the thought of them going to a playground for a date.

Yusuf nodded shyly, referring to Caleb's statement that he wants to go to a playground. "Please?" Yusuf tried to persuade Caleb by puffing his cheeks because he knows Caleb loves his cheeks to look puffy.

Caleb groaned. "Fine, stop puffing your cheeks. I might not be able to resist myself."

He knows he can never resist this boy, this is the sweetest thing they have ever done while they were testing the waters. 

It's the first time that he's actually felt like this. He couldn't explain what the feeling is, the only thing he knows is that he is so happy when he is with Yusuf. A happiness that he feels can last a long time. No, he feels it will last for a lifetime. Heck, maybe even another lifetime.

Caleb noticed that Yusuf's cheeks became a darker crimson, and because of what Caleb witnessed, he laughed and the bike started running. 

Caleb parked his bike near the area as they head into the currently deserted playground. 

Yusuf almost immediately fled to the top of the slide happily while Caleb was just strolling peacefully behind him. 

"You're really happy here?" Caleb asked while his hands were in his pockets, watching the joyful Yusuf that is in front of him.

Yusuf nodded. "I met the two b*tches here."

Caleb grinned. "You call them b*tches but you're really soft for them."

Yusuf looked down and paused. 

"They're the reason why I'm alive," Yusuf smiled and sat at the top of the slide.

Gu Ruoyun nodded softly and turned her gaze towards the family of three. Her beautiful features lit up with a smile.
"Xue'er."
Zi Qianjing stepped forward and his eyes gazed upon the young girl's absolutely beautiful face, "Have you seen Ye Sihuang?"
The man's voice brought Feng Qianhuan out of her initial excitement. She shook her head and said, "I haven't seen Second Brother. Why, is Second Brother here as well?"
"Mm." Zi Qianjing nodded. "Huang'er had come here to look for you first. I didn't think that we would end up finding you first in the end. That's why I had asked you if you've seen Huang'er."
That fellow, Huang'er, who knows where he has run off to.
Feng Qianhuan furrowed her brows. She was just about to speak when Qianbei Xun approached her. His handsome and beautiful face was lit up with a smile as he said, "If you want to find someone, I can send people out to help with your search."
His eyes were fixed upon Feng Qianhuan the entire time and his words were filled with tenderness.
Feng Qianhuan nodded. "Alright."
She never had the need for courtesy when it comes to Qianbei Xun...
The entire great hall was filled with jubilation and the remaining banquet guests have all arrived.
Grand Lord Hong Lian, Dongfang Yu, and Gu Shengxiao had prepared a gift for Master Dongfang so they had arrived a little late. Once they had arrived, the birthday banquet truly began.
Gu Ruoyun walked slowly towards Master Dongfang and placed the pill in her hand in front of him before she spoke serenely, "Grandfather, this pill will allow you to instantly break through to the Exceptional State. However, you would no longer be able to make any more progress in your cultivation from now on. This is a pill that I've managed to refine after many years of research."
Master Dongfang's heart was filled with excitement. He then burst into laughter and accepted the pill which Gu Ruoyun had given to him. "Yun'er, your pill is the best present I've ever received. Of course, there's another gift here that I like very much as well. That gift is the fact that my great-grandson has finally found a wife. It won't be long now before I can hold my great-great-grandchild."
To have four generations in one hall, nothing was more exciting than that!
At that moment, Master Dongfang was radianting with smiles. He was grinning from ear to ear as his eyes glanced across the crowd before him with a gaze bathed in a gentle light.
After the birthday banquet had progressed for a while, the sound of people fighting was heard from outside the great hall. The noise caused Master Dongfang's expression to sink and everyone else began to dive into a fervent discussion as well.
Who would be so bold as to cause trouble in the Dongfang family?
However, just as Master Dongfang was about to send someone to investigate, a voice filled with excitement rang out from up ahead, "Xue'er, I've finally found you!"
A man quickly rushed into the hall as his blood-red eyes stared at Feng Qianhuan. However, when he noticed Mu Ruyue and the others who were next to her, his peerlessly beautiful face was astonished.
"Father, Mother, Big Brother. How did you manage to find Xue'er before me?"
He had compared auras to trace her and had used nearly one month's time to find Feng Qianhuan's aura. He never thought that his parents would actually manage to find her before him.
Could it be that this was the definition of mother and daughter being connected by the heart?
"Second Brother."
